I decided that I Did want to sync my email client to firefox even though I do not have it on my phone.
The phone has, since making the move South, become my primary internet provider.
Once, back in the day, in Vermont, using dial-up, then making the leap with my new phone provider,
VTel, into the new digital world of DSL, ADSL really, I was able to use my land line into the chalet, POTS,
as my voice AND data over the same line! FABULOUS!
This subscription came with a caveat! Oh, yes! These were the days after September 11, 2001. These were
the days of the PATRIOT-ACT. Now, if you wanted high speed internet; which one naturally did, AND the
voice line all together; which one naturally did: now JQ could be on-line AND talking to Grandma, Cousin,
MaMaPaPaKIdy2--great pswd--the SUBSCRIPTION FROM THE PHONE COMPANY-- was 60us$. But,
to get this deal; here comes the caveat, was you had to sign an agreement with the phone company that
you knew that the phone company was, by law, NOT REQUIRED TO TELL THE CUSTOMER IF, AND/OR
WHEN THE GOVERNMENT, ie., FBI, Law-enforcement etc. wanted to look into your on-line data
history. Yada Yada
All for only $60.00 dollars a month~~ sign me up, Scotty!

Jump started a "PaGe" on google plus.

Didn't even register, back in the day, for the site "Vine", it was "Vimeo", and from the very start they had a snooty attitude, whereas, "Vine" has reach. They have viral. They have "sHoRtIes"; like looking at a peepshow format; hit the mime and go viral, quick. Loads on twitter, and google plus. But, back to the point.

I wanted to post a photo to my blog; this blog can't because it is so old, and outdated, that it really doesn't belong to blogger anymore. Blogger belongs to google, and google calls the shots.

Here, the saving grace was the embedded html code, early on, when the site was made to link to the other. Somehow, the details escape, the other blog got the upgrade, and this one stayed the same. Techno-Quickening of the race to reach the top of the feeding chain with RSS is all in the code. Know the code and build a better future economic model.

That being said, my magic numbers are....... kidding.

Aging zen_fully just isn't edgy enough. Doesn't get the juices flowing like a gin and tonic, or camera set-up does. The sky is grey, cloudy dull, and the indoor temperature, without electric heat, fifty degrees this morning at sunrise. What else to do on a drab picture taking day, but officiate over masking credit card information for the newly popular, and in demand: the one; the only, dubious, noxious, sugar_daddy there ever was, Video_Djer oser eroneous.

Today there was no video. Today was dealing with the iTunes on apple. Streaming radio from the install is broke. Letter to the Editor,

This is what I found out while searching for Vermont Maturity Magazine on-line this morning, Sunday morning, after
reading The Mountain Times article in their latest issue: The Central Vermont 50+ Expo
draws Baby Boomers and seniors to Killington Grand Resort Hotel for...and concluded with a contact email address
for Stephanie.

What I discovered:  That the first president of Middlebury College was Cyrl Hamlin. A missionary from Waterford, Maine.
Devoted to education, he was elected president of the Middlebury College in 1880. He came to Vermont after
serving as professor of dogmatic theology at Bangor Theological Seminary.

Meanwhile, I'm jumping around wikipedia dot org, all over the Aegean Sea, Turkey, clicking on all related
information, when I came upon a school that is the oldest off-shore American institution still in existance, Robert
College. The school was built, with the help of the Congressional and Presbyterian churches, by Christian Robert, a
wealthy American philanthropist, and co-founder Cyrl Hamlin, Missionary, Istanbul, Ottoman Empire, cerca 1863.
Curiously, I clicked on it.

This is where the digging really gets interesting for communities here in Vermont, and especially instutions like
Middlebury College. Both men, devoteted as they were to education, layed the foundation for Robert College, in
Istanbul, and I'll bet dollars to dougnuts that they both figured that to make ends meet, they must turn the school
co-educational. In Istanbul. In 1863 during  the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

Now, Im thinking that this could make a screen play; intregue, gymnasium, boys/girls, Turkey, Istanbul, Califate,
Islam, Christianity, Ottoman Empire, rumor, inuendo, salacious underpinnings, The Fire, moving the college, the
money, the way out, the death of beloved, the escape, Yankee go home, professor mantle, president of college and
the turning around of a failing institution. And that failing institutution was Middlebury College, Vermont.

All of the elements right there in front of me for a wonderful period piece movie of two young influential
American men being outed in a foreign country, ruled by Murad V at the turn of the century; who's rule lasted
93 peculiar days; was deposed by his brother Abdul Hamid II on the cusp of war with Russa, when a mysteriously
veiled Islamic uprising caused a fire in Istanbul, Ottoman Empire, cerca, 1876, and burned the town and Robert
College to dust. For Cyrl Hamlin, however, there was an urgent need to leave Turkey and return to the U.S. of A.,
take up position on staff at Bangor Theological Seminary, Bangor, Maine. Christian Robert had died; cause unknown? Most of his
remaining sizeable fortune left to the institution.

All of this, in fact, came from what I found on this particular Yahoo search; a search for Vermont Maturity
Magazine. What I needed was a reason to contact the magazine to find out what this publication was about and if
there were possibilities of striking up a relationship.
What I really found was that your API Key is out of date for Google Maps. I took
two screen shots of the warning and concidered sending them along, but thinking better of it now; opening email
attachmnents from unknown senders is a NoNo!!

I might add here, that I like my searchs wide and varied; first clicking on the hot link for Lake Champlain
Regional Chamber of Commerce, a Yahoo cache of VERMONTdot ORG (This is where I get the message that your API Key is
out of date.), then Clicking O.K., I choose from Search, the site VERG.
This led me to your Rescources page: Dots, and Life Elephants.
My first thought was that these organizations were IT organizations, and that it might be better for me to contact
them about your out of date google API Key, rather than bother you with these matters.

Finally, I choose Vermont Maturity Magazine proper And because I am a photographer, writer, travel enthusiast, I
began my search in the travel section. I did this to familiarize myself with your style on-line. I blog about
such things in my google blog, a photo-travel log of sorts at:
littlehillpress_dot_blogspot_dot_com.

While scrolllig and reading the articles, I found one with the picture of a cruise ship that was too inviting to
pass by. I am a senior, afterall, and articles like these bring me in to read the text. And that is what led me to
the site Wikipedia(dot)org. I was looking for information on the destination port for this ship and found a Greek-Turkey
destination port on: the Bosphporus, Istanbul.

My travel adventures are much like my internet searchs: wide and varied. I do like traveling and have a long time

Just another server error messsage. Had to reboot to get browser untangled. Still took about twenty two minutes. I have been driving around the eastern seaboard for the last two and half months. Papa fell over accidentally and broke his shoulder. I got that message on my phone machine. Funny thing is the time line.

A friend in Ga. invited me for a superbowl LXVXII party. I went to Ga. and then drove to VaBeach to visit Papa. I left his place the day before Valentines' Day. I got to NJ and took a friend out for dinner the day before Valentine's Day just to be on the safe side. Then, after a night at the Red roof I drove back to Vermont. That is when I got the message on my machine. Long story short, I drove back to VaBeach to rehab Papa's shoulder. Then another incident with a nose bleed that turned into a three unit transfusion. And another three weeks. As things look now, Im headed back after dumping the contents of the fridge into the dump and unplugging the unit. Pay bills, etc.

I gave a wonderful five hour seminar on digital photography to an English teacher from Springfield, Vt., on the Amtrak train down to New York City. The train was on time. Scan my reservation at the kiosk Quick Ticket was sweet. The waiting room Penn Central was packed. I listened attentively as I waited the thirty minutes (twenty for the call for track number) Got restless after munching a small lunch of nuts then made my way to the Arrive Depart board. Looked at the time and I was four minutes late. I missed my train to Atlanta, Ga. Funny how four minutes can radically change the texture of your day.

Here I sit on my way north for another five hours. This time, though they said the train was booked, I have the entire seat to myself. The woman across the isle also has the entire seat and is lying across it aslee[p. I should follow her lead the way I feel :<( Man I was really looking forward to visiting my pal Rick, his wife Shawnee and the two kids. Had it all going on when I left Vermont. I am so depressed right now. The up side is that my neighbor Ted, who kindly took me to the train this monring is going to make the trek down the Mountain to pick up my sorry ass tonight at eleven thirty when I arrive. Truely non sensical day.

How do tourists from forgein countries do it I'll never know.

Wn the track # was called I was there, early, waiting on baited breath. The announcer called the track and people started moving quickly towards ....

I really couldn't make out where exactly the track was, or the track signage. I guess I just haven't done this very much. I ended up on the right ramp, but was confused with the directions of east and west. Poor signage here. Everytime I entered the ramp I saw a NJ Transit train. Not what I wanted.

I ran back up the stairs to the Amtrack police desk where a uniformed US military soldier gave me directions. Whew. There was even a US military soldier at the boarding gate. remember, this is still NYC.

Train was boarded and left the station on time!

First stop was Newark. Fantastic city sky line. Bright, clean, new,

Tickets were taken and punched by a pleasant conductor.

The track from there to Trenton very Bumpy.

Calling for empty seats and being reparmanded by the announcer to make all seats available by removing stuff that isn't yours from the seat next to you. There You Go.

So, it didn't go off with out a hitch. Hind site is always 20/20. It was all in the
email and I claim not to be fluent in email client. Or, that's the reason I got D's in school!
I never could get past the details.
Arrival in NYC was sweet. Then things began to fall apart. The departure board was late putting up the gate #
and when it did and I got to a conductor he told me the train I was booked for was to leave two days hence. I was
therefore in NYC without a roof over my head.
The conductor was quite blunt. He made it clear thAT HE couldn't change the ticket on the train. Wa?
I had to either buy a new ticket at the kiosk upstairs to be able to catch that train on time, or I had to be
reticketed at the ticket counter, an one just knew that at the mid day hour there was going to be aline and I was
going to miss that train.
In line at the ticketing windows my optionsw were to wait until the next train at 3am a 14hr wait, or book for the next
day at 10am-- what to do?
Round and round I went. I found a tourist counter and found a hotel starting at 299.00 a nite.
Then I just went to the NJ Transit window and purchased a ticket for the ole home town.
It takes about an hour and a half, and when I arrived I got a cab to a motel. Round trip over nite 120.00 and I'm
back in NYC waiting two hours for my departing train.
All in all, it was kind of like driving-- six hours to NJ-- same motel-- six hour drive to Va.; except that I had
another 1 1/2 hr train ride back to NYC then onto Va. nine more hours.
That's how it goes with public transportation in the good ole USA.
Sorta like the old Yankee saying: Can't get there from here!

There you have it... Ethan Allen and those green mountain boys did it AOK. Out of the station on time. Passed lock #9 on time. Albany; if not already, then not much longer. Hey, and guess what? The coach has got electric hook up! A real plus for the laptop. I can browse or email, watch slide shows and every litt thing without using battery life. If this keeps up I may never get off. As the ole song goes~ leaving on a slow train; don't know when I'll be back again. Well, maybe that's not the way it goes (no es verdad), but so far this is great!
