There are many ways to secure your connections via ssh but here is something applied on top of ssh protocol. A firewall using iptables. This came up recently due to a brute force attacked on one off my servers ongoing consecutively for more than a month.

VMWare Fusion NAT Port Foward

Using VMWare workstation u can enable the port foward and modify the incoming and outgoing route. There's a problem with Mac Osx users, who generally use VMWare Fusion as an alternative. Why this is a major concern, because I don't like to use bridge thats why. Huhu.

If you are using unix-like filesystems the most important thing for each user is shadow, "shadow is a file which contains the password information for the system´s accounts and optional ageing information" as described in man shadow. It stores actual password in encrypted format for user's account with additional properties related to user password.

There are methods on attacking a victim could be done. For instance by searching through emails or any other medium that you can find. Such as IRC, messengers or even if they visit a website that you create. Dammit. Now I told you guys how. You wouldn't want to visit my site in the future. Should have kept that as a secret. Remeber, what I am telling is for you guys to be alert of such circumstances.

Fedora: NetworkManager to WiCD

Got an issue on using NetworkManager on my Fedora after recent change from Fedora release 13 to release 14. The issue I faced was wireless connection via plasma-systemtray-network management, I guess thats what it is called. Having modifying all necessary configuration such as wpa_supplicant and reinstalling all depencies. Yet, no success. The problem was that I was unable to enable the wireless tick box on the plasmatray. So lastly, I installed WiCD. So here is what I did. Via GUI, I run serviceconf and disable NetworkManager, enabled network and wpa_supplicant. Installed wicd via yum.

By the way this post was done to test blogilo on my system and some how blogger can not fetch my id so I copied the code and paste it here...

Howdo the new tag I brought up. Something I figure a relative thing to blog about. People know what it is but do we know how do it? For instance the Play Station (PS) how do it run smoothly when I play my games. Or questions such as how do I get into my friends iPhone without him noticing it? Google-chrome /dev/shm permission

After recent updates, seems that I get an error of loading the browser google-chrome. Everything seems to go on perfectly before. So what seems to be the problem. I tried other browser such as Konqueror but seems okay. Except for google-chrome. So I tried running it as root, okay. So, what seems to be the problem. I then try running it thru terminal. Ahha. /dev/shm no permission granted.Try chmod 777 /dev/shm to fix the problem. So I tried doing so and it works. The second problem arise. Every time I wanted to use my browser I have to go to terminal and give permission to the shm directory. This bothers me.

After successfully finishing my php scheme of work for MIKA next is my cpp. Even though I manage to integrate the connection slots for the queries but one or two bugs appear. Here I'll just show the output of my cpp programming side. By the way this is for linux os only. Windows user maybe some other time I'll look into it especially if they bring back the old Windows XP system into play.
