A few weeks ago a firestorm erupted when political consultant Hillary Rosen made the comment that "Anne Romney never worked a day in her life". I am a working mother with six children and I agree with this article.

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN RELEASED ON BAIL

It is 2:05 am on Monday, April 23rd, 2012. George Zimmerman was released on $150,000 bail about two hours ago. He is charged in the shooting death of seventeen year old Travon Martin. In a hearing on Friday Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester told Mr Zimmerman that he would have to observe a 7 p.m.-6 a.m. curfew and he could not have any guns, whatever that means. Ten percent out of the $150,000 bail was required for Mr. Zimmerman's release. He also had to surrender his passport. In my opinion this is not enough punishment for what George Zimmerman did. He murdered someone. Mr Zimmerman's bail should have been set much higher than $150,000. Better yet, he should have not received bail at all! I think he is going to jump bail. He is a flight risk, if you ask me.

This is the way Mitt Romney feels about women and planned parenthood. Talk about out of touch. If his wife or his daughters relied on their healthcare services thru this agency, would he be so callous and dismissive?

Our President is someone who actually understands the needs of regular American folks, not this rich guy, who never had to worry about money in his whole life!

Today George Zimmerman's bail was set at $150, 000. During the trial Mr. Zimmerman offered an apology to Travon Martin's parents.

In George Zimmerman's words: “I wanted to say, I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not.”

I could not imagine hearing these words after my son was so callously shoot and killed. It seems that if the Martins had not fought for justice for their son, George Zimmerman would not have felt he was at fault. That is a crying shame! You killed a human being; a teenage child. Didn't you think that someone might have loved and cared about that person? Didn’t you think that this was wrong? Is George Zimmerman even human? He not only murdered an innocent child, but he had no clue that he was accountable for it, until someone else told him he was. Please throw the book at him.

I am a huge fan of our first lady Michelle Obama. It is true that we both have the same color of skin, but my adoration for Mrs. Obama goes beyond that. I am a woman who has made a lot of bad choices in my life, but I never believed in settling for less. I always held this strength within in me, that whatever I was going through in life, I would make it through it. Now I look at our first lady and I see that woman I want to be, that women I will be ten years from now. Mrs. Obama is an outstanding example of how we as women should be in my opinion. Of course she is not perfect and none of us are, but it is what we do through hard times that mold us into the characters that we will be. I never had a good role model growing up as a child. I always wanted one. I needed one. I was surrounded by women who understood nothing about who I was or who I wanted to be. Having three daughters of my own I want nothing but the very best for them; a good Christian education, a good home and I want them to be happy, good human beings. First Lady Obama is the example I didn't have as a child, but my girls and I have now. I am humbled, thankful and proud to call this exceptional woman First lady!

I have been watching The Ed Shultz show now for about a year and I enjoy it a great deal. I find him to be and honest and genuinely concerned about the equal right for ALL Americans. I have watched Fox News on some occasions and all that I have witnessed is a great deal of hate speech. We need less of Fox News and more of Ed Shultz. Who needs that hateful dialogue? Our country needs to be unified and not divided.

A SCARY THING

Just the thought of Mitt Romney becoming president of this great country scares me. I look at the many American households struggling to make ends meet. I look at my life, as a single parent struggling to survive. I look at all the hate speech coming from the Republican Party and I pray to the heavens that America sees this man for who he is and rejects him in November. What is this Party's real plan for our country? If you rejected a law that would make wealthier folks pay just as much taxes as we poor folks do, it says a lot about what your intentions are. The majority of Americans are not wealthy. We are hardworking families that are fighting to make ends meet, in this very treacherous economy. Yes there are signs of recovery, but with Mitt Romney as president, even the little process that we have made will be in vain.

When I listen to Mr. Romney speak, I hear nothing but a big phony. There is no substance in what he says and he seems very dishonest. How are we to trust him? Lest we forget, President Obama inherited a mess passed onto him by President Bush. I have always found President Bush likeable, but in no way is Mitt Romney in any league with President Bush. Even President Bush was not as clueless as Mitt Romney is. Not only is President Obama a likeable person, he also has a clue what he is talking about, unlike Mr. Romney. I pray, oh how I pray that President Obama is re-elected.

THE WAR ON WOMEN

All I hear from these republicans is animosity against women. I am a woman, a mother of multiple children and I am not married. Does that make me a bad person? Does it disqualify me from getting free birth control, if I am not able to afford it? In my opinion the Republican Party is gravely out of touch with modern day American Society. How can a woman with millions of dollars and five children be compared to a woman with six children that has no money at all? Yes we are both mothers and both work caring for our children, but your work is less than mine. You can afford to hire a few nannies, I can't. Also you do not have to worry about your finances the way I do. So how are we alike again? If you have never walked a mile in my shoe, there is no way for you to grasp the life that I live.

MITT ROMNEY'S SPEECH

I listened to Mitt's Romney's speech today about education, infrastructure and so on. His speech sounded a lot like some of President Obama's speeches. Can't Mitt Romney find his own content to speak about? This man does not know what the word originality means. How can you vote for someone when you are not exactly sure who he is? His views on different topics changes on a regular basis. I remember my grandmother saying to me as a child "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything". This is the Republican's front runner for President of the United States. All I can say is "let the games begin". I can’t wait for November.

ALL MOTHERS WORK HARD

I am a working mother because financially I have no choice. If I had a choice I would prefer to work at home or not work at all. Raising my children is more important to me than anything else. If I stayed home and not work, we would not be able to pay bills or live. Mothers who work have two jobs. The one that she has when she is at home and the one she has when she leaves it. Being wealthy makes it easier to raise children financially, but being a mother can never be subsidized by a mother’s ability of hire help. “The help” cannot be mother to your children, you are. Being a mother is a job within itself. I agree with first lady Michelle Obama’s comment that all mothers work hard and should be respected.

THE TRAVON MARTIN CASE

It was announced today that George Zimmerman will be charged with second degree murder for the killing of Travon Martin. When I first heard about this case, it disturbed me. Being a mother of three boys, it frightened me to think that this could happen to one of my sons. This case has gotten out of control I my opinion. How did a family wanting justice for the killing of their son, become a political or racial issue? I am puzzled by this response. Justice is Justice, doesn't matter which point of view you have. The Martins deserve impartiality for the killing of their child, anyone would. Race and political views has nothing to do with it.
