I've been dragging my feet on formally putting the blog on hold, but it's time to quit ignoring the inevitable . . . the pause button has been pushed.

Soooo, it's looking like Sundays are going to be the day. I've tried to squeeze a mid-week post in there too, but no such luck so far. I just keep telling myself that once a week posting is better than no posting . . . right?!?

Anyhoo, I've got a TON of action shots from my summer to post, but those will have to wait a bit. Today, we've got pics from some of my favorite peeps across the country.

Utah or bust ACTION!

Those of you who haven't explored Flickr before really should spend some time getting familiar with the site. Not only do you get to see some absolutely amazing photography, but you also "meet" some of the greatest people. These two shots from Salt Lake City, Utah are prime examples - the first is from the awesome Rick of the equally awesome Ashley & her kiddos, and the second is from Ashley of her adorable daughter.

State fair hula ACTION!

Not a traditional jump, but an action shot none the less - this time from our dear friend LA of her rock star daughter Kana. You gotta love the North Carolina State Fair - food, rides AND hula hoops!

And last, but not least, check out these fun in the sun shots from my cutie cousin Briana, snapped while on her Summer vaca in Kokomo, Indiana. The only thing better than a day at the pool is a day at the pool with some action :)

You know I love me some silhouette action, and these shots from Marie are perfect! She snapped these at White Sands National Monument in New Mexico while on a fantastic road trip with a friend - so jealous!

I so love this shot from Joshua of his daughter Keilana snapped at Wailoaloa beach near Nadi, Fiji. Can't wait to see more jumps from this action star!

Fun in the Sun ACTION!

Check out the good times being had by Wanda & pals at Praia do Rosa beach near Florianopolis, Brazil. If that gorgeous sunset doesn't make you want to jump, than I don't know what would!

Jump guru Carrie is back with another great shot, this time with friends Kim & Summer. They were in Key West, Florida, jumping at the southern most point in the continental USA - how cool is that?!?

Back and Better Than Ever ACTION!

Hellllllo my friends! Long time, no chat ( . . . or post . . . or jump . . . )

It's been a busy few months, but life is starting to slow down a bit so I'm ready to get this action ball ~~rolling~~ jumping again! No doubt you've noticed the obvious layout changes - goodbye boring black and hello pre-designed template that took absolutely no creative input by me ;-). I may be playing around with different designs until I find one that really tickles my fancy, but don't fret - the quality of shots from peeps around the world will stay the same!

Let's start our return to action with a slew of shots from our trip to California last month ( . . . the trip that was one of the main reasons I had to break from the blog). It was a week of ridiculous hours, followed by a week of ridiculous fun!

Quick Update ACTION!

Wow - it feels strangely weird & exciting to be updating the blog! Guess it's natural to be a bit dusty after an almost 2 month break ;) I know in my last update so loooooong ago, I said we'd be back & jumping in June....but I'm not quite ready to resume normal posting (insert heckling here). Why the extra extension, you ask?

Weeellll, off I head to California tomorrow, for two weeks of hard work & hard play. If the cards play right, we'll be meeting up with some pretty cool peeps (the kind of cool that I know my fellow action lovers will appreciate). I can absolutely, hands down, 100% guarantee that no matter what happens or who we cross paths with, there will be TONS-o-jumps to share with everyone upon our return :)

I'll admit, I've personally been slackin' on the jumps over this break, but I do have a few to tide ya'll over until the end of the month...

Love Circle ACTION!

I took a trip to Nashville for my sis's birthday back in April and we managed to catch an in-sync shot at Love Circle ~ such a cool spot, overlooking the fabu city!

iphone Fun ACTION!

AH! So much fun to be had with an iphone - I'm seriously contemplating one, simply for the camera ;) Jenn & I spent a good hour snapping all sorts of silly shots with hers last weekend :)

So, here we are! It's been exactly one year since my very first ACTION! Shot Revolution post. What a long way we've come! We've shared over 300 posts, featured more than 500 amazing photographers, and enjoyed 700+ jump shots from all over the world. Not a bad year, if you ask me :)

I'm excited for the next chapter in the ACTION! adventure...but first it's time for a little pause. As much as I'd love to keep on jumpin' without interruption, I can't commit to regular posts right now so the blog is going to take an early summer vacation. I'll be back in a few months, bigger & better than ever!

I certainly don't want to leave you jump lovers in a lurch, so be sure to check out these sites while we're on R&R:

So much that I love about these shots from Ashley (who, btw, is one the nicest flikrites out there) ~ I love that they are taken in my favorite state of Colorado...I love that BFFs jump together (be sure to check out Tiffani's stream, too)...I love that big, blue skies can share so nicely with a touch of snow. Good stuff, I tell ya!

Ahhhh...home, sweet, home! Surprise, surprise - we managed to make the most of our time in good ol' Madison, Wisconsin. Took a lot of random pictures that will mean absolutely nothing to anyone but us, but we did manage to snag a few action shots to share with everyone :)

Badger land ACTION!

Jenn & I traveled to Madison to represent the ACVIM at the 2010 SAVMA Symposium. I've got to say, we really ended up enjoying this cute little town (sans the travel disrupting fog and constant rain). Their convention center, Monona Terrace, is an awesome Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece and the State Capital was one of the prettiest I've seen. The Hilton was fabulous (and had great beds for jumping ;) and our booth at the conference was a hit! All in all, it was a great trip!

Hope everyone had a wonderful week. I'll be playing post travel catch-up for a few days, but I'm going to try to resume regular posting as of tomorrow, so stay tuned!

It's going to be a short week on the action front - I leave for a work conference tomorrow before the sun comes up and while I'll be taking lots of shots while in livin' it up in Madison, I doubt I'll have any time to post (though maybe...we'll just have to play it by ear). Sooo, I've got no Oscar red carpet shots to share today...BUT, we do have these great shots from Rick (one of my fave action lovin' photogs) taken at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah back in January. Look closely and you'll recognize these famous jumpers as Mike Hedge & Lauren Randolph, two of the greatest action shot gurus out there :)
