10 SEO Tips That work to rank on google.

If you’re sick and tired of hearing the same SEO tips over and over and over again, then make sure to read this whole post, because I have tactics, techniques and strategies that you are not going to want to miss.

The SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.

And we have a lot of juicy stuff to cover, so let’s skip the formalities and get straight into this thing.

The first tip is to get more traffic from your existing pages by covering subtopics that Google wants to see.

Last year, we did a study on 3 million searches to find how many keywords you can rank for with one page and found that the average #1ranking page will also rank for about 1,000 other relevant keywords.

So how do you find these keywords?

Easy.

You do a content gap analysis.

So let’s assume that you run SEO for bodybuilding.com.

First, you'd go to Ahrefs' Site Explorer and paste in the URL of your page on "how to lose weight," which ranks somewhere on page 2 or 3 of Google’s search results.

And you can see that this page ranks for around1,100 keywords with 2,600 monthly search visitors.

Not too shabby.

But let’s quickly compare that against the top ranking page from healthline.com.

They rank for over 30 times the keywords and gets more than 170 times more search traffic.

So, all you need to do is go to the content gap tool in the sidebar. Next, paste Health Line’s URL here.

And I’ll actually paste in a couple more of the top ranking URLs to get more relevant results.

I’ll set this filter here to show keywords where all of these targets rank in the top 100 and at least one of them ranks in thetop 10, while my site doesn’t rank at all.

Finally, I’ll make sure that our URL isset to prefix mode and run the search. And you can see that there are over 1,600 keywords where all of these pages rank, while the bodybuilding.com one doesn’t.

You can see ideas here like to include modifiers like “best.”

And here are a couple great sub topics you can include in your post.

You can write about diets and also have asection specifically on weight loss for women.

The next tip is to reverse engineer Quora and other forums to find low competition keywords plus a bonus traffic hack that you have to see.

No matter what niche you’re in, there are likely forums that are generating search traffic from user generated content.

And since no one is actively building links to these forum threads, they are likely going to be really easy keyword targets.

Here’s how you find popular threads on forums like Quora. Go to Site Explorer tool andenter in a domain of a forum.

So I’ll use quora.com. And you can see that they generate over 154million search visitors every single month.

Next, click on “top pages” in the sidebar to see which pages from Quora generate the most search traffic.

Finally, use the search box to look for a generic topic related to your niche. So let’s say that I have a blog on bitcoin.

And right away, you’ll see a couple here like bitcoin generator which only has 5 referring domains, gets 5,000 monthlysearches, and ranks in position 4.

And then there’s this one, “how long does it take to mine a bitcoin” with 1 referring domain, 3,400 monthly searches, in position1 and owns the featured snippet.

These would likely be low competition keywords that you can go after. But why limit your SEO knowledge and this golden data just to play the Google game?

Let’s click through to this one here on bitcoin versus some other cryptocurrencies.

You can see that this question has been view edover a million times despite having only 1,100 monthly searches for their top keyword.

If you look at this response, it was answeredaround 6.5 months ago from the time I’m recording this video, and it's gotten over 73,000 views!

So post your answer here and some relevant links to your website and start getting quality referral traffic.

In fact, I tested this exact trick as an experiment with a brand new domain to generate over 48,000 visitors and 15,000 leads from Quora alone.

The next tip is to convert imagesinto links back to your page. Creating quality graphics is hard and expensive. So what do people do?

They steal them. If you’ve created an infographic, image graphs with data, or taken some cool photos, then you probably want credit for those, right?

Here’s how you do it using Google Chrome. Just right click on the image, then click"search Google for images.” And you can see that these images appear on a bunch of different sites.

So go to these sites and make surethat they’ve linked back to you. Here’s an even easier way to do this: Go to the backlinks profile for your domainin Site Explorer and type in .jpg or whatever file extension in the search bar.

And will you look at that. It looks like we have 868 links to our images. From here, you can open up the referring pagesand see if they linked to the post where the image is from.

So on this page, I’ll open up the page sourceand do a find for our domain, ahrefs.com.

And it looks like there's only one link pointing to image that’s embedded on our email out reach post.

From here, I could contact the author and politely ask if they could change the link to our post instead of the image, becauseit doesn’t really pass much value to us since we’re not trying to rank the image.

Next tip: don’t under estimate the effectiveness of broken link building.

Broken link building is one of the easiest link building tactics that anyone can do.

Here’s how it works: You find pages that are broken and have backlinks pointing to it, you recreate that page, then you reach out to the websites that are linking to the broken page and ask them for a link.

The easiest way to do this is to go to Ahrefs'Site Explorer, enter in a domain of a closely related competitor, and run the search.

Next, click on “best by links” in the sidebar. From here, you’ll use this filter to show only 404 pages.

And right away, you can see all of the pages that are broken and the number of unique linking websites that are pointing to these pages.

Here are a few tips to make your campaigns convert better.

1. Include a screenshot of where the broken link is. This one tip took my conversion rate fromsub 7% to around 13%.

2. Don’t copy people’s email scripts. They’re overdone and when someone receivesthat first line that says, “I was looking for some resources on 'topic'” then they’lljust click away or delete it.

And #3. Make sure your resource is relevant and actually impressive. The next tip is to include case studies and stats in your articles.

Stats build trust and links. Period. Exclamation point.

Take a look at the backlink profile for Ahrefs' blog.

If I do a search for the percent sign, you can see that we have over a thousand backlinks where this symbol is either in the anchor or surrounding text.

But Sam, Ahrefs is a big-data company! Well, let’s look at Backlinko’s backlinks.

Brian has over 2,600 backlinks with the percentsign in the anchor or surrounding text.

And if you look through some of the links that he has, they’re based on his personal results like this one that says:

“Brian Dean increased his search trafficby 110% in just 14 days.”

Here are a couple more ideas on how you can add stats and data to your posts.

1. Use your own surveys with email subscribers,social media followers, or whoever would fit the profile.

2. Gather boring data and make it interesting. You can do this by turning it intoan infographic, a video or a map. The next tip is to avoid “Keyword Unicorns”and consider search intent first.

Just because a keyword has high search volume,it doesn’t mean it’s one that you should target.

Search intent says a lot. If we look at the keyword metrics for thesearch query, "Google Analytics" in Ahrefs’ Keyword Explorer,

you'll see that there arearound 1.5 million searches per month.

The thing is that the vast majority of people searching for this ,

they probably wants to login to Google Analytics, right?

So even if your page ranked in the number one or two position, you probably wouldn’t get very many clicks because you can’t serve the searcher’s intent.

And our Keywords Explorer shows that only 5% of the time, search results for this query get clicked. But if we search for “how to use GoogleAnalytics,” then the search intent becomes more clear.

People likely want a guide or tutorial on how to navigate their way around Google Analytics and extract actionable insights.

And the clicks data shows that the search results for this query get clicked around 51% of the time.

So always consider search intent first andask yourself questions like:

Do people searching for this likely have intent to buy what I have?

Can I convert this traffic into leads?

Is there enough search demand tomake it worth creating and promoting?

If the answer is no, then you might want to move on.

The next tip is to add modifier keywords to your titles.

Modifier keywords are add-ons to a base keyword. Here are 4 of my favorites: Best, top, buy, or the current year.

For example, someone who is searching for“keyword research tools,” they might also look for “best keyword research tools,”or even “best keyword research tools 2018.”

Modifiers can help you rank for more keywords and also meet people in different parts of their buying journey.

So, if you own an eCommerce site and you sell this Kitchen Aid mixer, you might want to add “Buy Kitchen Aid Mixer,"and then the model number.

So do your keyword research on phrases with modifiers and play around with your titles and content.

The next tip is to monitor your competitor’s.links, and then steal them like a thief in the night.

When someone links to your competitors' content,you need to ask yourself, why did they link to them and not me?

And the answer is almost always because that they don’t know your resource even exists.

And even if you email them right now and you tell them about your resource, it’s probably too late because timing is a critical component in successful outreach.

You can solve this is by monitoring new backlinks for one of your competitor’s pages, then reach out to the site owner or author ASAP.

Here’s how you can automate the process.

Go to Ahrefs’ Alerts menu.

Then under the backlinks menu, set up a new one and enter in the URL of one of your competitor’s pages.

Set the notifications to real-time and assoon as your competitor gets a link to that page and we find it, you’ll get an email notification so that you can contact the author and pitch your resource.

The next tip is to find low competition keywords that no keyword research tool can find.

Something that's widely accepted in the SEO community is that quality backlinks help you rank high on Google. Agree?

But wait a second.

Then that should mean that if a page has no backlinks but gets a ton of organic search visitors, then that page must rank for somelow competition keywords, right?

So using Content Explorer, which has an index size of nearly 1 billion pages, you can do just that.

Just type in a general topic in your niche and set the option to a “title search.” Then set the maximum number of referring domains to 0, so no backlinks at all, and then set the minimum organic traffic value to something like 1,000.

Scrolling down a bit, you’ll see this cool topic here on backpacks for professionals that gets over 2,000 search visitors eachmonth without a single linking website.

Next, I’ll click on “details,” and then“organic keywords.”

And just like that, I found some great keywords that I can create a post around like professional backpack, best professional backpack, and professional backpacks for work.

And I know that I can probably rank high forthese keywords with one page and only a few quality backlinks or maybe noneat all, since this page is doing it.

The next tip is to claim unlinked mentions. And this strategy is simple.

When someone mentions you or your company, then they should link to you, right?

Well, people don’t always do that. There are a few ways to find people who have mentioned you but haven’t linked to you.

First, go to Google and search for somethinglike “your brand name” -site:yourdomain.

But it would be quite the feat to search through this many results only to find that most people have already linked to you.

Instead you can use Content Explorer. You can type in something like your brand name and common misspellings, so I’ll type in brackets ("netflix" OR "net flix" as aphrase match OR "netflicks") -site:netflix.com.

This query is going to look for any of thesekeywords and exclude results from their own domain.

Next, I’ll click on the “one article perdomain” filter to narrow down our results set since we don’t need to get links from every page that has mentioned the brand name.

Next, click on the “highlight unlinked domains”dropdown and enter in the domain, netflix.com.

Scrolling down, you can see that this result is highlighted in yellow, which tells us that this website has never linked to netflix.com

From here, we could reach out to the site and claim an unlinked brand mention. If you have a lot of results like Netflix,then you can click the export button and make sure that this checkbox is checked to export only the unlinked domains.

The next tip is to repurpose your best content. If have a blog post that has done particularly well by gaining links or garnering engagement, then it might be a good idea to repurpose that content into different media types.

So you might turn that into an infographic,a podcast, a video, or a map, or a Slideshare presentation.

The post that you’re reading right now is the perfect example.

We have a blog post on 70+ SEO tips that's earned 254 links from different domains, over 7,000 shares and has 140 comments.

By repurposing your content, you can expand your reach on different platforms and reach larger audiences.

The next tip is to grab links from Wikipedia and make sure they stick.

Before I show you how to do this, there aretwo things that I need to address:

1. Yes, Wikipedia’s links are "no followed." 2. Yes, you should still considergetting links from these pages.

But why?

Because just the English version of Wikipedia gets around 3 billion search visitors every single month.

Translation: an awesome place for referral traffic. With Wikipedia, anyone can edit the Wikis and add links to their pages.

Just find the wiki you want to add, click the edit button and add your contribution.

But they do have a pretty tight moderation team, so you can’t just spam links.

When you’re adding content and/or links to the pages, you need to make sure that the resources you’re adding are bang on and adds value to what’s already there.

Something that I’ve found to work well isto include a supporting statistic.

Next, you need to make sure that you’recontributing to the right Wiki.

Here’s a surefire way to find pages that get organic search traffic.

First, go to Google and type in something like site:wikipedia.org then add your keyword term as a phrase match.”

Then I’ll make a note of any of the URLs that are clearly relevant to the article I want to promote.

Next, I’ll go to Ahrefs’ batch analysis tool, and paste these URLs here and run the search.

And right away, you can see which pages are getting the most organic search traffic and now, it’s just a matter of finding the balance between impressions and relevance.

The final SEO tip I have for you is an important one and I predict it’s only going to become more important.

And that’s to optimize for featured snippets. Featured snippets are when Google shows ananswer, or a partial answer to the question directly in the search results.

Ahrefs did a study on featured snippets andfound that 8.6% of clicks go to these featured snippets, which is stealing clicks away fromthe top organic rankings.

Whether you like these SERP features or not,you’re going to have to adapt and play the game.

Here are a few quick tips to optimize your content for featured snippets.

1. Our study showed that 99.58% of featured pagesranked in the top 10 search results.

Not top 3, top 10.

So your first task is to make sure your page ranks there.

2. Look and see how the current featured snippet is formatted and understand what part of the question is being answered.

For example, if we search for “how to makechicken soup” then you’ll see the featured snippet that highlights the directions andonly the directions as a numbered list.

If we look up “chicken soup ingredients”,then you’ll see just the ingredients appear and from a different website than our first example.

Looking deeper at one of these pages, you’ll see that there’s a simple headline and no introductory text.

Just the list. There are a lot of great resources out there on optimizing for featured snippets.

Can you rank on Google without backlinks?

The answer is yes.

But it comes with quite a few caveats. So today, we're going to study some pages without backlinks that are getting a ton of search traffic and extract some actionable insights you can apply to your SEO.

What's up SEOs ?

There's no denying that backlinks help you rank higher in Google.

Google says it on their "How search works" page.

Our research study confirms a clear positive correlation. And if you ask any experienced SEO, they'll agree.

But do you actually need them to get a meaningful amount of search traffic from queries that have some sort of commercial value?

Now, rather than continuing with my mysterious comments, we're going to let the data do the talking.

So to source my data, I used Ahrefs' Content Explorer, which is a search able database of over a billion pages that are filterable by multiple SEO metrics.

So to start, I ran a blank search to filter throughall pages in the Content Explorer database. Then I set a few filters.

First, I set the maximum number of referring domains to 0. And referring domains are unique websites that link to the page.

Next, I set a filter to only show live pages.

Finally, I set a Traffic filter to only show pages that get at least 1,000 monthly search visits, since I think most people will agree that it's a decent amount for a single page.

And I'll actually set the trends filter to show the past three years of data in the sparkline graphs, so we can get a better visualization of the pages' traffic trends.

Alright, so at this point, Content Explorer is saying there are around 243,000 live pages that get at least 1,000 monthly search visitswith zero backlinks pointing at them.

There are way too many results here, so let's group these into 3 tiers based on Domain Rating.

And Domain Rating is an Ahrefs' metric that represents the overall strength of a website's backlink profile.

The closer the number is to 100, the more so-called "authority" the domain has. Now, the three tiers that I've set areDR 0 - 30, DR 31-60, and DR 61 plus.

Alright, so tier 1 are DR 0-30 websites, which we'll classify as "low authority." If you look at the results, you'll notice that the majority of pages are not in English.

Given that the majority of websites have English content, this might seem odd.

Now, the reason this happens is because non-English queries are generally less competitive, so they're easier to rank for without links.

For example, Arabic only makes up around 0.8%of content on the Internet, meaning less competitors and an easier-ranking environment.

So takeaway #1 is that in general, content in languages other than English are going to be easier to rank and get organic traffic,even if you don't have any or many backlinks.

Now, since I'm not fluent in Arabic,let's set the language filter to English for the rest of this tutorial.

Ok, so if you look at the majority of topics that are getting search traffic, there are four things you'll notice.

#1. If you're targeting a country with English as itsofficial language like the US, Canada, UK, or Australia, you'll find that a lot of pages in this tier are getting the majority of traffic from other countries.

For example, this page gets most of its traffic from Pakistan and India.

#2. You'll see a wide array of content that'snot safe for work.

#3. A lot of these pages are ranking for topics that aren't exactly legal. For example, this is supposed to be a paid game.

And #4. You'll be hard pressed to find pages with good commercial value.

For example, this page is on a celebrity's husband's net worth, which probably won't impact your bottom line.

But there are also some rare pages that may have commercial value depending on your business.

For example, this page ranks for queries relatedto a legal topic. It gets over 2,300 monthly search visits and the website looks like it's run by a law firm, which makes a lot of sense.

All-in-all, finding actionable insights fromthis tier will be slim pickings. Now, keep in mind that I'm doing a search throughour entire database.

So even if you were to search for a broad keyword like "gardening," you'd only see four results, one which might be worth pursuing.

So let's move on to mid-tier websites that have a DR value of 31 - 60. Now, within this group of pages, you'll see more or less the same downsides as the previous tier, but to a lesser extent.

The main differentiating factor is that you'll start seeing pages that are ranking for low-competition topics that have some commercial value.

For example, this page is ranking for the query"best bluetooth headphones for under $50," which has a Keyword Difficulty score of just 8.

This page ranks for something in the higher education space which has a lot of commercial value.

This page is capitalizing on queries thatare valuable to lawyers on the topic of divorce.

And you'll also find the occasional high-traffic opportunities like this one, which gets over 12,000 monthly search visits with zero links.

So here are a few key takeaways for the DR 31-60 range.

Pages with zero links on mid-DR sites seem to rank more easily for low-competition topics with commercial value.

They're also capitalizing on long-tail queries that have decently high search demand.

And we went through the example of "best bluetoothheadphones for under $50." Now, the most interesting example to me isthe page ranking for divorce-related queries.

If you caught it, the majority of the traffic to that page comes from the UK. And it's likely because of relevance, location of the company, and perhaps the cTLD .co.uk.

It's important to remember there are tons of other countries outside of the US where it's easier to compete.

So, while the traffic share might be lower in non-US countries, most topics will still have more than enough search demandand commercial value to bank.

So in my opinion, if you don't have the resources of Fortune 500's or the expertise of top agencies,

it might be worth researching other countries where entering a competitive market will be easier.

Alright, let's go through the last tier and those are sites with a Domain Rating of 61 or higher.

And the types of pages in this tier are pretty much the same as the DR 31 to 60 sites, but the higher DR sites are ranking for more competitive queries without links.

For example, this page ranks high for "cheap cigars,"which has a keyword difficulty score of 45.

And then you'll see sites like Credit Karma ranking for even more competitive keywords related to credit card debt without a single backlink.

Bottomline, when you have a topically authoritative site, you have the potential to rank for some pretty competitive keywords even if you don'thave a ton of links.

But even a super focused and authoritative site like Credit Karma is only ranking at the bottom of page 1 for their top query.

And if you look at the top 10 results forthis keyword, all of the pages ranking higher are also authoritative, topically relevant, butthe key difference here is that they all have links.

So while targeting low-competition topics is a great way to start a site and gain traction, the reality is, you'll run out of worth while topics to target fast.

And if other sites start targeting those same topics, eventually, they won't be so low-competition and you'll need links to keep-up.

Most importantly, if you want to build a sustainable and growing business, you'll definitely want to go after more competitive topics because competition usually equates to commercial value.

So what's it going to be ?

Are you only going to go after low-competitiontopics to earn a tiny piece of the pie ?

Now you got a blog and some traffic and need Adsense approval to generate some revenue from it.

Hi everyone, this is Tech Niket and in this post, I am going to give you some tips for Google Adsense approval.

Getting Google Adsense approval is not as tough as it seems.

You just need to follow some guidelines andtips to monetize your blog. But before moving on to the tips and guidelines.

So, the first thing you need to focus on is Content.

In the digital world, we say - Content is King.

And that’s what you need to follow for yourblog.

You need to put quality content on your blog.

You need to avoid plagiarism.

Plagiarism is when you copy other’s content and use it for yourself.

Most of the people just copy content fromothers websites and blogs and put on their blog. This is one of the major reasons for the rejectionof their Google Adsense application. Your content should be unique.

There are a lot of tools available onlineto check plagiarism for your content. Try to keep your content at least 80% unique. The topics on which you are putting contentcan be similar to others but the content you are writing should be unique.

The next thing you need to note down is consistency. Along with the quality of content, consistencyalso plays an important for Adsense approval.

What I have seen is people put 3 or 4 postson the same day and then don't post anything for a month.

This is what you need to avoid. For my blog, I put 12 posts in about 30 days. You can also follow a schedule for your posts.

I would suggest you put at least 1 post eachweek. This way you can maintain consistency foryour blog.

Other than that, you need to provide yourblog sometime before applying for Adsense. Let’s say you start your blog on June 1st.

Then give at least a month to your blog andin the meantime, you should put consistent content on it.

The next factor is the number of visitors. If you are thinking that you need thousandsof views or visitors to get Adsense approval, then, be happy because it’s just a myth. For my blog.

I just had around 30 to 40 visitorson average per post during the time of Google Adsense application. In the same way, you don’t need to worryabout visitors or views. Even a less number of views can do the workfor you.

But note down one thing. Never ever send bot traffic to your blog orwebsite. It will hurt you in the long run. The next thing is the blog pages. There are some necessary pages you shouldput on your blog.

The first one is About Us page. On the About Us page, you need to tell aboutwho are you and what your blog is about or what type of content you will be posting.

The next one is the Contact Us page. On this, you need to put details about how your visitors and users can contact you. Here you can just simply put a contact formand an email id.

Other than these two pages, you also needto put a Privacy Policy page. On this page, you need to tell your visitorsif you are collecting their data or not. And if you are doing, what type of data youare collecting.

You can easily get the format of the PrivacyPolicy page online and then amend it according to your requirements and put it on your blog. Also, if you want, you can put a FAQ page. It’s not necessary but you can put it ifyou want. The next factor which becomes a major issue in Google Adsense approval is Keyword Stuffing.

What people do is, in order to cheat Google’s algorithm and to get more views through SEO, they just stuff keywords in their blog. But believe me, Google is much much smarter.than we think. Doing these black hat techniques will eventuallyhurt your website and blog.

And in some cases, people even end up getting their website or blog banned or penalized. Then comes the type of content which you should not post. You should never ever put any kind of content which supports social enemies like terrorism, child labor, etc.

Another important factor is the user experience. This factor not only matters in blogs butit plays an important role in every kind of business. Make your blog and website user friendly.

And how you can do it? It’s very simple, just follow these simpletips. Your text should not be too small.

You need to put pictures but avoid puttingtoo many images. Also, make sure that the readability of your blog is good. By readability I mean if you putting a light background, then your text should be dark.

Or if you are putting a dark background, then, your text should be light. Let’s say if the background color is yellow and the text color is orange, then, it would be difficult for the readers to go through the blog.

The same goes for dark colors like brown and black. Also, The blog needs to be responsive, i.e. it should be mobile compatible.

From my experience, there’s one key pointwhich I want to tell you. Always think from the user’s point of view.

Think that what a user would like to see whenhe or she comes to your website or blog.

Don’t create your blog for Adsense or moneyschemes. Create it for your potential audience.

Think about the content they would like tosee and believe me you will not face any issue in Adsense approval.

These are the tips that I followed for myearlier and got Adsense approval within a month.

So, let me show you exactlyhow I use Google Drive to share certain files andfolders with my clients. First, let me give you my use case.

I'm a speaker, at least a big portion of my business is speaking at conferences,giving keynotes,

delivering workshops and so after Iengage with an event planner or someone who's hired me,

I wanna share particular documents with them.

If we go back to Google Drive,I've got this folder called Folder for Client Resources and when I click on that,

I've got a few things that I share with everyone who hires me. I've got things like myheadshot, a few pictures here that they might want toinclude in their marketing.

I've got my bio, which will usually be included in a printout or a handoutor also on their website.

And maybe a few differentthings that I include in the workshops themselves, some exercises that theymay need to have access to, so that they can printthem off in advance. Now, this collection of information,

I need to share with a wide variety of people,but it's not exactly private. I really don't care ifyou have access to this or if someone else stumbles upon it.

There's nothing secure here,there's nothing private here, but I don't like includingthis information on my website because I'd rather nothave someone just stumble upon that site and say,

what is this and what is this purpose?

I also don't wanna manage just an extra webpage on my website.

So, instead, I've created this folder here within Google Drive. Now, if we go up here to the folder name, we can right click and select share.

Now, you might be familiar withthis pop-up that comes here and probably you're used to entering in a name or an email address of the people that you want to share with. And of course, I could do this as well.

I could just keep a longlist, just keep adding people who need access to these files, but that's gonna be very tedious. I'm gonna have to come inhere each and every time, find the email address andin many cases,

I'm dealing with just one individualand they want to be able to share this with othermembers of their team, so then they need to ask for additional access and that type of thing.

So, in this case, instead ofentering any email addresses, what I'm gonna do isI'm gonna click up here and say get the shareable link.

And what that's gonna do isthat anyone with the link, this is the default option that comes up, anyone with the link can view.

So, it's generated a unique link here. All I have to do is copy that link. I can copy that link, Ican hit done down below.

Now, again, you wanna make surethat it says only can view. We're not giving people access to edit. The default choice isview, so let's make sure that we continue with that option there. But I've got my link now. I've copied it already,

I'mgonna say done and then just to show you what the guest orwhat my client will receive, let me open up a new incognito window here and I'm gonna paste that linkin the window, in the URL.

This is exactly what theywill see on their end when they click on the link,they're gonna have access to these files and they canopen them up, they can click on my bio,

they can downloadit, they can print it out if they want, of course,they can't edit it, they can download my pictures. Here are all the resources that I need. And remember, I've just got the one link.

This is just the one link available here. I just need to remember or copy this link and use it multiple timespretty much as how long I would like to, for the nextcoming years, if I want to.

Now, the great thing is that whatever I do within this folder, it's going to automatically update and anyone who has access to this is gonna have the latest information.

For example, maybe I nolonger want this file, for example, available.

I'm just gonna hit delete on that. I'm gonna put that in the trash can and maybe in the future, I'm gonna update my headshot.

So, I don't have to go outand email a variety of people and say, by the way,could you please now use my updated headshot or canyou put this in the program.

If they have this link thatI've given to them in advance, they're always gonna have thatupdated information available to them.

Now, you might be saying to yourself, Scott, I don't wanna sharethat big long nasty link. That looks intimidating,it looks very ugly and yes,

it is very, very long. Well, no, I don't recommend that you share the link in its natural state either.

I'm gonna copy that link one more time, so when I'm dealing with a client, I might shareit in the following way. Here I am,

I'm sending an email. Please use the link below to access my speaker resources and I'm just gonna call this Google example Folder, something like that.

All you need to do withinGmail or almost any other online editor is just highlight the text.

I'm gonna come down here to the bottom and select insert link and it's here that I'm gonna paste inthat Google Drive link.

This is the folder that I'm gonna send them to. I'm gonna hit okay and now I've got a nice clean looking link.

It looks straight forward, it tells them exactly what it is and when they click on this link, they can get all of my resources.

So,

Do you have a need for such an open shared folder?

Remember, I only recommendthis for documents or for files that you really don't mind the rest of the world gaining access to.

Maybe there's a particular questionnaire that you send out to clients.

Maybe there's some otherdocuments or data that you like to share and it's alright if other people have access to it,

But they don't really needaccess to it, until they become a client or at some stepin the relationship.

Some Best chrome Extensions for SEO by Tech Niket

I'd say that most SEOs love Google Chrome extensions.

But having too many extensions doesn't necessarily equate to higher productivity.

In fact, this can lead to slowing down your computer. So with so many options, the challenge isin choosing only the ones you actually need.

Well, I've already done a lot of the hard workfor you, so today, I'm going to show you what I think are the best Chrome extensionsfor your everyday SEO needs.

What's up SEOs?

The SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.

Now, the extensions I'm about to share withyou are in no particular order. And this list is by no means complete.

Instead, I'm going to share 1-3 extensions that help with common SEO categories. And those are link building, keyword research,on-page SEO, and technical SEO.

And of course, I'll show you how they workand share a use case or two.

So let's get started with some Chrome extensions for link building.

The first one I use is Hunter.

Hunter is an email finding tool and in I'vefound it to be the best one to find emails quickly and accurately.

Just visit a page, and click on the icon inthe extension bar. You'll then see a list of associated names and email addresses that Hunter has found somewhere on the web.

Now, let's say you were reading about YouTube SEO and you wanted to contact the author.

Just click on the Hunter icon, then enter the first and last name of the person in the search box.

Hunter will try and return a result either with scraped data or in this case, their best guess for the person.

You can click this icon to save them inthe Hunter web app or click the email address to copy it to your clipboard.

The next extension in this category is Linkclump.

This tool lets you open, copy or bookmark multiple links at the same time. The way I use it is when building links, specifically when vetting prospects.

So let's say you're in the Backlinks report in Any Site Explorer and you want to visit these three pages to see if they'll be good link prospects.

With Linkclump installed,

just hold down the letter Z and then drag your cursor over the links.

Let go and it'll open the pages in a new tab so it's just a matter of qualifying ordisqualifying them from your list.

And if you don't want to open them in new tabs, you can create new actions in the extensionOptions menu.

So you'll see that I've set another one hereto copy the URLs when I hold down X and drag my mouse.

So let's say we're in Google and looking for resource page link opportunities. And when you visit this page, you'll see that the page has links to some external resources.

So I'll hold down X, and drag my mouseover the links.

Then I can take it into a tool like Any Batch Analysis, paste them in there, and get SEO metrics on all of these pages.

From here,

I might check out the backlink profiles of these pages and see if they've built other resource links, which I could then go after.

Finally,

we have the No Follow extension.

This extension will put a box around all links that are nofollowed on a page.

You can use this when you're looking for guest posting opportunities.

So just visit a post on a site you want to write for, and scroll through it to see if all or most of the links are no followed.

If they are, it probably won't be worth your time to write for their blog if link building is your goal.

The next extension is my absolute favorite,

which kind of fits into an "all-in-one" category… P.S.

I'm completely biased...

It's Ahrefs' SEO Toolbar.

This extension allows you to see keyword, backlink, and organic traffic data right inside Google SERPs.

Just enter your query, and you'll see keywordmetrics under the search bar like search volume, CPC, Keyword Difficulty scores, and more.

On top of that, you'll see estimated search traffic and the number of backlinks at both page and domain levels.

When you click one of the numbers, it'll openup the respective report in Ahrefs where you can continue your analysis.

The toolbar is also visible on any page you visit and you'll see SEO metrics there too.

Now, in order to see this data, you'll need an Ahrefs account.

But they've also added some free features like a Broken Link Checker and an On-Page Analysis tool,

which you can use by clicking the icons here.

A freemium option for keyword research would be Surfer SEO's Keyword Surfer extension.

Just enter a query in Google, and you'll see global search volumes and country-specific search volume.

And they have a couple other cool features like keyword ideas in the sidebar and domain level data like estimated search traffic andnumber of backlinks.

I'm not 100% sure how or where they get their traffic and backlinks data, but it feels a bit off to me.

For example, they estimate Amazon.com's search traffic to be 46.9 million and total "quality backlinks" to be just over 700,000.

And the numbers seem pretty low for me since we've found over 3 billion live links for Amazon's domain, and estimate their search traffic to be 714 million,which are usually under-estimations.

But I wouldn't hold it against them,

the company focuses more on on-page SEO and from what I've heard,

they do a great job.

Speaking of on-page SEO, the best stand alone Chrome extension

I've found for that is SEO Minion.

SEO Minion is an extension that's great for quick on-page spot-checks. Just visit a page and click on the Minion icon in your extensions bar. You'll then have a handful of options to choose from.

So you can do a basic on-page analysis whereyou'll see information like the Title, Description, Canonical URL, and Meta Robots tags.

And below that, you'll see a breakdown of all heading, open graph, and Twitter tags.

You can also do other things like highlight all links on the page, check for broken links, see if any Href lang tags exist,

and more.

Another cool feature is that the icon may have text written over it, like "redir". And this means the page you visited has redirects.

You can then see all hops that took place by clicking on the icon and looking down here.

The next category is page speed and I've got two extensions for you.

The first is Lighthouse.

Lighthouse is an open source tool made by Google.

It's purpose is to help improve the performance, quality, and correctness of your web apps.

Just visit a webpage and hit the Lighthouse icon.

Then click Generate report.

It'll run some tests and once it's done loading, a report will pop-up showing scores for various categories like

Performance,

Accessibility,

Best Practices,

SEO,

and PWA.

And below, you'll see suggestions on what you should do to improve your page for each category.

Now, if this report looks familiar to you it's becausethey use a similar report in Page Speed Insights.

Now, if you want to see the actual time it takes for a page to load, there's a neat little extension called Page Load Time.

Just visit a page, and it'll show you in the extensions bar how long it took for the page to load.

And if you click the icon, you'll see a breakdown of where that time was spent.

The next extension is called Window Resizer, which is a great tool to test mobile friendliness.

Window resizer allows you to resize the browser's window to specific resolutions in two clicks. For example, if you want to test the mobile design and experience for a page on an iPhone 6,

just click the icon in the extensions barand choose the iPhone 6 resolution.

Want to see it on an iPad?

Just do the same thing, but this time, choose iPad.

These are the Chrome Extensions I use regularly in my SEO processes.

But I know there are a lot of other great extensions out there.

Top 10 [ on-page SEO Techniques ]

Have you ever wondered if the on-page SEO tips that experts are recommending actually work ?

I mean,

Does using your target keyword in your URL really have an impact on SEO ?

Does site speed really play a factor in rankings ?

In this post,

I’m going to break down the top on-page SEO techniques that you can use to get higher rankings in Google,

backed by hard cold data.

What’s up SEOs?

The SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.

We have a lot of solid on page SEO techniques to cover so let’s get this party started with our top 10 tips.

Number 10,

use short URLs for your pages.

Here’s a short URL. And here's a long one. So true or false?

Do short URLs rank better in Google ?

Our study on on-page SEO factors shows thaton average, short URLs with a median of around 17 or so characters ranked visibly better than long ones.

If you’re a Wordpress user, then all you need to do is click in the URL box here,

and enter in your short URL.

But does this mean that you should go and change all of your long URLs to short ones?

I wouldn’t say so.

Even though there’s a small correlation,

I don’t think it’s a significant enough ranking factor to change your existing ranking pages.

Number 9,

use your primary keyword in your URL.

If I were writing an article about SEO tips,then my final URL with my keyword target would look like this.

So does this actually help you rank high in Google ?

The answer according to our study is... False.

Interestingly,

out of all keyword-relatedon page SEO factors that we studied, this was the only one that showed a negative correlation.

In fact,

John Mueller from Google went on the record and said:

"I believe that is a very small ranking factor.

So it is not something I’d really try to force.

And it is not something I’d say is evenworth your effort to restructure your site just so you can get keywords in your URL."

But do I recommend using it ?

Absolutely.

Two reasons: When your link gets shared, people can easily identify what the page is about without even clicking through to the page.

This should increase referral traffic compared to having links that look like this.

Or this.

And second,

the exact match keyword that you want to rank for will be included in the anchor text of every naked URL backlink that you get.

And we did a study on anchor texts, which shows that top ranking pages tend to have a larger percentage of exact match anchortext links in their backlink profile.

So take 10 seconds to customize your URLs and reap the benefits. Number 8, use your keywordin the headline, so the H1 tag.

In our study, we found that around 85% of pages that rank in the top 10 of Google, don't have their keyword in their H1 tags.

But there was still a small correlation, soI still recommend using various keywords in your headings and even subheadings.

And the main reason for thisis more user experience based. A study from Neilsen Norman Group found thaton average, a user will read, at most, 28% of the words on a page.

But then they said that 20% is more realistic.

Here’s the thing: Scanning text is an extremelycommon behavior for users.

You probably look at a page, scroll for a bit, and if something pops out to you, you read that section.

And if you think that section was awesome, then you think: oh shoot, did I miss out on anything else?

So you scroll back up and then you read the post.

Using trigger-like keyword phrases in headings and sub-headings may be enough to pique a user’s interest and have them stick around a little bit longer.

Number 7, add external links to authoritative websites.

Again, John Mueller said that adding external links to other sites is not a ranking factor in Google’s algorithm.

But Reboot Online’s study disagrees. They ran a fun little experiment on these two completely made up words, which I won’t even attempt to pronounce.

They set up 10 different websites, 5 thatlinked to authoritative sources like Oxford, Cambridge, and genome.gov.

And then the other 5, they had no external links at all. And the results were clear: the sites that contained external links, ranked higher than the ones that didn’t for both keywords.

And in our own study, we found a small positivecorrelation of pages that link to Domain Rating 70+ sites ranked in the top 10 of Google. So here’s an easy takeaway.

Don’t be afraid to link out to other resources that will enhance the experience for your readers.

For example, if you’re writing a blog poston the best golf gear and you found a great comparison of golf balls, then link out to them.

But don’t just do it for the sake of it.

Number 6, add internal linksto pages that you want to rank. Internal links are links that go from onepage on a domain to a different page on the same website.

And these have been proven timeand time again to help with rankings. So a quick tip is to look at your pages that are currently ranking on page 2 of Google, add some internal links to relevant pages that you want to rank, and hopefully it’ll be enough to give your pages a small boost in rankings.

You can find pages that rank on page 2 bygoing to Google Search Console, click on search traffic, and then search analytics.

Then make sure you check these boxes up here,and then sort the positions in descending order.

You can quickly scan through the impressions column and try to spot bigger numbers, which suggests that there’s a higher search volume.

But these are average positions,which isn’t very accurate. You can do this more effectively using Ahrefs’ Site Explorer tool.

Just type in your domain or a subfolder.

So I’ll use ahrefs.com/blog/ and run the search.

Next, go to the Organic Keywords report. Here, you can see all of the keywords that this blog ranks for.

So I’ll narrow down our results by settingthe positions filter to only show keywords that rank in positions 11 to 15.

And you can see that our post on SEO toolsranks in position 11 with 16,000 monthly searches.

If I click on this icon here, you can seethat we’ve been hanging around the top of page 2 and bottom of page 1 for this keyword for a little while now.

So this would make a great targetto point some internal links to.

Now we need to find pages where we can add these links. You can do this by going to Google and type in a search query like: site:ahrefs.com/blog/, and I’ll add “SEOtools” in quotes for a phrase match search.

And you can see that there are a good number of pages where we can add internal links from.

Clicking through to this page, and then doing a find for the phrase “SEO tools,” you can see that this would be a great place to add the link.

Number 5, re-optimize titles on under performing page one rankings.

I’ll level with you: even if you have the perfect title and metadescription combination, it won’t really matter much unless you’re on the first page of Google.

Why?

Because as the saying goes: “The best place to hide a dead body is onpage 2 of Google’s search results.”

First, you need to identify the pages thatare ranking on page one.

Again, you can do this in Google Search Consoleand look through the different positions versus click-through rates.

And as a very general benchmark, the #1 ranking spot sees an average CTR of 33%, #2 gets 15% and #3 gets around 10%.

If you see anything below that, make a note of it and start playing around with your titles and meta descriptions.

Here are a couple ways to get some great ideas for new titles. Let’s say that I’m creating an epic poston hotels in San Francisco.

Looking at the organic Google search results,you can see that they appear to be mostly list posts of the top or best ones.

And two of them actually include prices in the title. This can tell you a lot about theintent behind a searcher’s query.

So you might want to create yours in a similar way. Next, look at the ads.

Since a lot of the big players are constantly experimenting with ad copy, you can bet that for high CPC terms like this, you’ll findsome solid title and description ideas that can boost your CTR.

There’s an awesome data-drivenway you can do this too. I’ll click through to this ad.

Next, I’ll copy the URL without the parameters.

Then I’ll go to Ahrefs' Site Explorer tooland paste the URL here and run the search.

After the page loads, click on “ads” under the paid search category. And right away, you can see all of the different ad variations and see which ones have been attracting the most clicks for them.

If you’re still stuck, borrow some ideasfrom viral sites like Upworthy or Buzzfeed.

For example, if I do a google search for site:buzzfeed.com "San Francisco" hotels, you’ll see a few cool ideas thatyou can work into your title tag.

Number 4, create in-depth articles. People have been raving about “long-formcontent" for quite some time.

In fact, our study showed that content lengthhad the second best correlation across all on-page SEO factors that we studied.

But how long is “long-form?”

1,500? 2,000?

5,000 words?

We found the median value for a #1 ranking result to have 800 words, which I don’t think quite fits into the category of “long-form."

So instead of focusing on word count, focus on coverage.

For example, if you're writing a piece onmaking the perfect cup of coffee, you can't just say,

say: "grab a cup, put it in the machine and wait."

If you truly want to deliver on making the perfect cup of coffee,

you'd want to talk about beans, water temperature, brewing methods like French press, drip, or using an Aeropress.

An easy way to find related subtopics is to Google the keyword phrase you want to rank for and skim through the sub-headings from the top ranking pages.

Clicking through to this one, you’ll see that they covered a few different methods like pour overs, French Press and Aeropress.

And on top of that, they included a helpful bullet point list for each method with preferred types of beans, brewing time, and flavor profiles you should look for.

To expand your coverage, you can copy the URL and paste it into Ahrefs' Site Explorer.

Next, click on the Organic Keywords report in the sidebar.

And on this page, you can see all of the keywords that this page ranks for in Google.

So bottom line?

Forget word count and focus on covering thetopics and sub topics that will serve the searcher’s intent.

Number 3, use modifiers in your titles. Modifiers are add-on words to a base keyword.

My favorites are best, top, buy, and the current year.

For example, someone might search for “golf clubs.”

But they might also search for “best golfclubs” or even “best golf clubs 2018.”

A super cool way to find modifier keywords that actually have search volume is to type in a seed keyword in Keywords Explorer.

Next, go to the phrase match report in the sidebar. And you can see that there are well over 2 million keywords with the keyword golf in it.

Next, click on the include search box andtype in a modifier keyword like best.

And you can see that there are some great keyword ideas where you can add modifiers to your title.

Best of all, for the golf niche, the keyword difficulty scores are extremely low on these, which makes them potentially great keyword targets that you can go after.

Number 2, don’t have slow loading pages. In 2010, Google announced a new signal intheir search ranking algorithms: page speed.

And as of this month, July 2018, page speed will become a ranking factor for mobile searches.

But according to the results of our research,the correlation of this on page factor with higher positions in Google is very small.

So should you even bother optimizing for page speed?

Absolutely!

This deals more with user experience andit will affect your bottom line: revenue.

Google performed a study on 11 million mobile ads and found that as page load time goes from 1 to 3 seconds, the probability of bounce increases 32%.

And as the load time increases,so does the probability of bounce. Here are a few tips you can use to speed up your site.

First,

go to Google Page speed Insights andenter in the URL that you want to analyze.

You can toggle between your mobileand desktop page speeds here.

Then scroll down a bit to seethe optimization suggestions.

Often, you’ll see that slower page speedsare attributed to files like images, scripts, and style sheets.

You can click here to download optimized versionsof these and make the appropriate replacements on your page.

Next tip,

use a content delivery network (or a CDN).

For example, if your hosting server is locatedin New York, but your visitor is in Australia, it can take quite a bit of time forthe transfer of data to complete.

CDNs minimize the distance between where the visitor is browsing from and where your website server is hosted.

The next tip is to use an image compressor. Images in their raw form, they can be quite large.

So you can use a tool like Short pixel to optimize your images for the web.

I’ll just drag and drop a picture of this handsome fell a here and soon after, you can see that it compresses the image by quite a lot.

Final page speed tip is to

If you’re a Wordpress user, you can use plugins like W3 Total Cache and get a solid configuration without a technical bone in your body.

And finally,

So Google’s job is to provide the best results to their users for any given search query.

And in order to help Google achieve that,you need to foster that user experience for their visitors.

Aside from the content itself, the user interface,or the way the page looks, can have a significant impact on how people interact with your site.

First is to improve visual readability. If you look at these two pages side-by-side, which one is easier to read?

Obviously the first one. Let me break this down for this article which is about how to write a resume.

They use a readable font-size, they writein short sentences and short paragraphs, they have standout images like this one that instantlyconnects with the someone wanting to learn how to write a resume.

They have nice little breaks for checklists and pro tips making it hyper-scannable. And they provide some solid visual examples of what a resume should look like.

Some other tips to improve user experience through your user interface is to include a table of contents for long posts like this.

And you can even make it scroll down with the user so it’s easy for them to jump to different sections.

And the final one that I think will gain popularity over time is to include interactive features within your blog posts.

You can do this in simple ways by sharing a slide deck, videos, surveys, polls, and in more complex ways like interactive tools.

You can obsess over low-hanging optimizations like keywords in titles, but you need to know that there is power in cumulative value.

Now,

while our data supports a lot of theseon page SEO factors, there is very little correlation in most of our findings on an individual level.

But as you implement all of the different optimizations together, you should start seeing more results.

Most importantly, always focus on fulfilling the searcher’s intent the best you can and you’ll be on your way to perfecting your on-page SEO.

Well, I've got some good news and some badnews for you.

The bad news is that WordPress alone isn'tgoing to help you rank in Google.

It's just a tool.

But the good news is that WordPress makesit dead simple to implement search engine optimization best practices.

So even if you're a complete beginner, youcan optimize your website for higher Google rankings easily.

And you're about to find out how to do itin this WordPress SEO tutorial. Stay tuned.

What's up, guys?

The SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.

Now first,

I want to clear up any confusion. WordPress is a Content Management System that'sbasically the industry standard for bloggers.

But it's developed quite a bit over time whereyou can now create all sorts of websites from e-commerce to forums to essentially whateveryou want.

Now, WordPress SEO is no different than justregular search engine optimization.

So what I'm referring to is using WordPressas a tool to make traditional SEO techniques and strategies easier to implement and technicallysound.

So for the most part, we'll be covering theon-page optimization best practices while other off-page strategies like link buildingwill all be the same whether you use WordPress or anything else.

So let's get to it. Before we get into the WordPress interface,I just want to make a quick note on theme selection.

Now there are a ton of free and premium templatesyou can get, so here are two things that you should look for.

First, the theme should be mobile responsive. And this is important because as Google said,mobile-friendly content may perform better for those who are searching on mobile.

And second, you should avoid themes that arebloated with plugins or third-party scripts that you really don't need.

So read through the theme descriptions tosee what's included and you could also run the theme demo URL through page speed toolslike Google's PageSpeed insights, Pingdom or GTmetrix.

Alright, let's move on to some important WordPresssettings. First, we need to decide whether we want touse just domain.com or www.domain.com.

And the reason for this is because Google will look at these two pages separately. Now the good thing about WordPress is that it'll automatically redirect the other version to the one that you choose.

So, if you have a new website, then it doesn't really matter which one you select. But if you've ever used both protocols, or you have an issue like this website, where you can access the same page from different URLs then you'll want to see which version has more backlinks pointing at it.

You can check this by using any Site Explorer tool.

Just enter your domain, then you'll want to take note of the number of referring domains pointing at your website.

Then take the other version of the URL anddo the same thing. And in this case, there's a clear winner, but for other sites, where it's not so obvious,

you would want to manually do a full backlinkanalysis using the backlinks report.

You can change your URL by clicking on settings. And then edit both your WordPress AddressURL and Site Address URL.

Now, if you have existing content on yourwebsite and you change your URL, there are issues that can arise so I'd recommend having access to a developer you can contact if need be.

Alright, next we want to make sure our permalinksare set up optimally. So click on "permalinks" under "settings"in the sidebar.

And you can see from the previews that permalinksare basically just the URLs for your posts and pages. The one that I prefer using is "post name"and that's for two reasons.

#1. People can look at your URL and know immediatelywhat it's about. So take a look at these links from our blog,and guess what they're about.

#2. It keeps the URL short. In our on-page SEO study, we found that shortURLs tend to rank better in Google as you can see from this graph.

Now, it's important to note that if you already have content using a different permalink structure, then changing it to a different option maycause broken pages, which is a bad thing, particularly if you have backlinks pointingat them.

But if you want to set up your structure thisway, then you may need to add redirects, which you can do with a plugin like Redirection. The other plugin that I highly recommend installingis Yoast SEO.

Now this plugin is the industry standard and should work great for you out of the box. If your site is new, then you can hover overthe SEO menu in the sidebar, and go to XML sitemaps.

You'll want to make sure that this checkboxis checked and that you generate an XML sitemap which you can submit to search engines like Google and Bing.

As a general rule of thumb, you only want to include pages that you want Google to find on your website here.

So I've disabled the author sitemap, excluded media pages, as well as tags and format pages.

We'll touch on some of the other advancedsettings in the second video from a technical SEO standpoint, which you won't want to missout on.

Alright on to the meat of the tutorial, andthat's the on-page optimization tips you should use for every single piece of content youcreate.

You can create a new piece of content as apost or a page. And by default, posts are used for your blog. And pages, on the other hand, are more commonlyused for static pages that don't really change often like your About Us page, Contact page,or Services pages.

So let's create a post. In terms of SEO, there are 4 main parts here. The title, URL, body of the content, and yourmeta tags. And we'll tackle these in this order.

This part here is where you set a title foryour post. In general, the title that you enter herewill act as your H1 tag from an on-page SEO standpoint.

Now, the main goal of the title is to enticevisitors to click through to your article, while accurately describing what the contenton the page is about.

So you want to create something that's "click-worthy"and not "clickbait." The second basic tip is to include your primarykeyword phrase in your title.

For example, if we were writing a post onthe "best nike running shoes," then our title might be: "17 Best Nike Running Shoes For Optimal Performanceand Comfort (2018 Guide)" By default, WordPress will change your URL slug to the full name of the post.

But we can edit it and change it to our primarykeyword target, where dashes would replace the spaces.

So I'll change it to best-nike-running-shoesand click ok. Next is the body. Since we're talking specifically about WordPress SEO, I want to focus on the editor, rather than on-page ranking factors.

And we have a good video on that, so I'll linkit up in the card and description. Now, your editor will likely look differentfrom mine, since themes and plugins can add additional features.

The first drop-down is very important becauseit includes text formatting styles. So you can include H2s, H3s, and other subheadingsinto your post with the click of a mouse.

So in this case, our H1 is the title thatwe already set up here and an H2 would be a sub-heading like Zoom Running Shoes, whichis a brand line. And if we wanted to include specific modelswithin the Zoom line, then we can create an H3 like Nike Zoom Fly and elaborate on themodel. Using headings helps create a structure, whichcan help Google better understand your content, and also improves readability for your users.

The other two SEO relevant features are hyperlinksand images. To create a hyperlink, select the text youwant to create a link from, then click on the link icon, and enter in the URL you wantto link to. The selected text will then act as what wecall anchor text.

You can click on the gear icon to get moreoptions. I highly recommend selecting the "Open linkin a new tab" checkbox, which will do exactly what it says when a visitor clicks the link.

This is good for keeping visitors on yoursite, while still being able to direct them to helpful resources. And the final feature in here is the "Add Media" button. This is used to insert images into your post.

You can just drag and drop your photos inhere, and WordPress will upload it to your server. After it's done uploading, I highly recommendfilling in the "Alt Text."

And this is good to add for a few reasons. First, it adds more context to the page, tellingGoogle what the image is about and it may be helpful for ranking your images in Google Images.

Second, it's helpful for people who are usingscreen readers, like the visually impaired. And third, if your image breaks, then thealternative text will show to replace the broken image.

Alright, let's move on to the Yoast SEO settings. Since we installed the plugin, you'll havea few fields that you can enter in at the bottom of the post or page. The first part is the title tag.

This is the part that would show up in Google'ssearch results, as well as in the browser tab. So rather than leaving it as the default,

I recommend pasting your title in here.

You'll notice thatit's highlighted in red, which tells us that our title tag is too long. This will result in truncation in the Google search results, which isn't that appealing, so we can actually alter this without changing the title of the actual article, or your H1 tag.

So, let's remove the word "optimal," clickout of the textbox, and it looks like we're good to go. Now, we'll want to write a meta description.

And this part is meant to support your titleand further entice someone to click through. Generally, I don't bother with the focus keyword,as it doesn't do anything aside from giving you some "SEO scores" from Yoast.

So feel free to add it if you'd like, butknow that it doesn't make a difference for your actual search engine optimization efforts.

After you've finished your post, you can publishit and have an "SEO friendly" post done without touching a line of code.

Now, creating a page would be the exact same,but there's one main feature difference worth noting. Assuming that you have your permalink structureas the "post name," both page and post URLs will show up like this.

But with pages, you can actually create themwith different levels, using subfolders. So let's say that you're a digital marketing agency using WordPress and you have 5 different services.

You do SEO, paid advertising, social mediamarketing, public relations, and email marketing.

Then what you can do is create a serviceslanding page, where you would talk about the different services you provide and naturally, you'd probably add links to your individual services pages.

Now rather than having each service page asdomain.com/service-name, you can nest them under the "services" subfolder. So let's do that right now. You can see that I'm creating a page on SEO services, so I'll just click on the parent dropdown and choose the "Services" page.

Finally, I'll save our page as a draft. And now you can see that the URL is accessibleas domain.com/services/seo.

WordPress is my favorite CMS to use, simplybecause it makes on-page SEO a cinch, but there's a lot more you can do with it froma technical SEO standpoint.

WHAT ARE DNS RECORDS ?

A DNS record is simply a database that maps human-friendly URLs to IP addresses. When someone types in a URL such as google.com, that entry is sent to an internet service provider (ISP) where it’is forwarded to the DNS servers, and then directed to the proper web server using the corresponding IP address as a label.

TYPES OF DNS RECORDS:-

A Record :-

A record stands for Address Mapping record.

AAAA Record stands for IP Version 6 Address record.

What is DNS?

DNS or Domain Name System translates domain names to their IP addresses so that browsers can load the requested website. 
Servers are computers storing HTML files, images, sounds, videos or any other file types. 
Servers that work together to provide IP address of the requested website to the web browser are called DNS servers.  DNS resolver connects the web browser of our computer to the DNS name servers. 
There are 13 sets of root name servers, logically named as Letter.root-servers.net, where Letter ranges from ‘a’ to ‘m’, and are operated by 12 different organizations. 
Each set has a number of servers placed around the world. TLD name server stores the information of all domain names sharing a common domain extension. 
Authoritative name server is the last server in the Domain Name System. 
It stores the IP address of the requested website when we purchase a domain name from a registrar, 
Registry updates the authoritative name server for the purchased domain in the TLD name server. So, 
when TLD name server receives a DNS query, it forwards DNS resolver to the correct authoritative name server. 
DNS servers eliminate the need for humans to memorize these complex IP addresses. The only thing we need to memorize is the domain names which are easier to remember.

The term Li-Fi was coined by pureLiFi’s CSO, Professor Harald Haas. This technology uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for data transmission. Basically, it is designed to use LED bulbs which we use in our homes, offices etc.

Li-Fi is nothing but a Visible Light Communication (VLC) system which transmits data. It has two components: (i) At least one device with a photodiode which will be able to receive light signals and (ii) a light source equipped with a signal processing unit.
Li-Fi technology requires LED a semiconductor light source, so that it can amplify light intensity and switch rapidly. Also, LED cells can modulate thousands of signals without the human eye ever noticing. The changes in light intensity from the LED light source are interpreted and converted as electrical current by the receiving photodiode device. Once the electronic signal is demodulated, it is converted into a continuous stream of binary data comprising of audio, video, web, and application information to be consumed by any internet-enabled device.

Li-Fi can also function as a bidirectional communication system by interchanging visible light and infrared light from a photo detector. The mobile device connected to that photo detector can send data back to the light source for uplink. Led’s of multicoloured i.e. red, green, blue of retina size could be engineered to send and receive a wider range of signals than single-coloured phosphor-coated white LED’s.
