Wow! Been awhile!
We have a LOT to go over. I's been one month since our sweet Annie joined the world. She is growing and thriving and just now hitting the 7 pound mark! Lets back up...

On May 8th I went in for my 37 week check up. I expressed to the doctor that I was having major anxiety & fears that something was wrong. Although Annie was kicking ALL of the time, I just couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. The doctor offered to send me down for a non-stress test to ease my mind until I could see my OB the next week when he was back in town.

I had a very easy pregnancy with Scarlet and had a easy time with Annie as well so this was all foreign to me. After the NST the doctor said that the babies heart wasn't reacting the way they like to see it to the contractions I was having so they wanted me to go drink a coke and have another NST as well as a growth scan. I took all of this very lightly because surely nothing was wrong, right? When I finally went down for the growth scan I could see the screen as the tech measured. This wasn't in the baby section of the hospital so the tech wasn't talking to me like a normal ultrasound. This was in Radiology and all she was doing was clicking and measuring on the screen. I started paying attention and saw that the measurements were all reading small, between 30-34 weeks. I started to feel a little nervous but shook it off, choosing to believe that everything was fine, she was just small, and she still had 3 whole weeks to grow.

After a good 6+ hours of being hooked up to monitors checking the babies heart rate the doctor came in and told me I wasn't leaving. She explained that the baby had stopped growing and I would be induced in the morning. I begged (with tears) for them to let me go get my bag packed and go put my girl to bed before admitting me. She reluctantly agreed and told me to be back at the hospital at 9pm.

So John and I got to the hospital, got checked in, ate snacks, and really just believed our girl was small, but FINE. After little sleep and a lot of flipping and flopping over to keep her heart rate up, they started Pitocin & broke my water at 5am. The labor part went by quickly. Mostly because they would not let me be still but also because well, it was just quick. I had a fantastic nurse named Jada that talked me through my worries. Finally at about 10:30 am I told Jada I was going to shit the bed. She offered to check me again & I begged her not to, I was over it. Another nurse came in and checked me and quickly said it was go time...so that is where the shit the bed part comes in... Ha!

Within minutes the bed was broken down, the nurses were preparing, I was telling them I wanted the baby on my chest asap, I didn't want her to have a bath, etc, and shit was getting real. I had a contraction and the doctor told me to push through it, within 2 pushes the baby was born and the doctor calmly unwrapped the cord from her neck and handed her off. This is where it gets blurry and really clear all at once, does that make sense? I remember saying "I want to hear her cry", I remember hearing "you aren't going to hear her cry," I remember a herd of people coming into the room, I remember seeing a woman forcing my mom and sister to leave, I remember seeing my sisters eyes well up with tears and that moment is when I realized that my baby either wasn't alive, or wasn't going to live.

I looked over at the team of people huddled around her and I saw them doing CPR. I had NO idea what was going on. I started screaming, crying, losing my mind, and as quickly as that all happened, I heard a cry. The team of people started cheering, I felt immediate relief & was overcome with happiness to just hear her. After a few minutes they brought her over to me, I held her for a moment and they said she was going to the NICU. They took her from me and took John and left. So here I am alone with the doctor and nurse, with out my mom, my sister, my husband, or my baby.

The next few hours are a blur, so much that all I remember was a nurse bringing her cell phone in my room and showing me pictures of Annie on the scale. She was 4.7 lbs and 18 inches long. Her APGAR score at 1 minute was a 2. Do you know what the APGAR is? I didn't until I read it in her chart much later, google it if you don't. The only reason she even got a 2 was because she had a bit of a heart beat, and she finally let out a cry. Her 5 minute score was a 7. 6 hours later the neonatologist called to tell us that she had no brain bleeds, no apnea, and no seizures. All things caused by being with out oxygen, all things that had not even crossed my mind.

After a very long day, I finally got to go see her. She was absolutely perfect, and I was absolutely heart broken that she was on the other side of the hospital, hooked up to countless machines, naked, in a warming bed. All that I could think was that none of this was part of my plan. We should be in our room, with our families and our baby. We should be laughing and having champagne. Why is it happening this way?

Thankfully my sweet nurse Jada was by our sides the entire time. She kept on and on talking about God, and miracles, and all of it just kind of rolled off of my back. But then she looked at me, with the most fierce look and said "Sarah! God breathed life into your baby! She was not breathing Sarah! Do you understand that?! She is here for a reason!" I broke down right then. Literally broke down. How blind could I be! How was I not hearing what God was saying?! How is it that this adorable, country, L&D nurse basically just slapped me in the face with realization! A few hours later she was telling me about her husband, telling me how sweet, good looking, and awesome he is. She told me that she asked God what he was thinking when he created him and she said "Sarah, seriously, find yourself a quiet spot and ask him what he was thinking when he made Annie, Sarah he will answer, I promise, just do it."

The next day, I was sitting in the NICU rocking my baby, I had the curtain pulled around her "pod." I asked God what he was thinking when he made her. And clear as day, he answered. He told me that he needed my attention. I have never been so sure of anything as I am of that. I heard him loud and clear. And ya'll. It was amazing.

So here we are. Annie beat ALL of the odds and was out of the NICU in a week. We have adjusted with ease into being a family of 4. I can't stop looking around and seeing and experiencing all of the miracles and blessings God is giving. It is like a cover has been lifted off of my eyes and a weight off of my shoulders. My baby is healthy, and strong, and very much alive. When the NICU doctor explained to me that the reason Annie had stopped growing was because I had a viral infection in my placenta I knew. When he explained that it could only be one of 3 infections, all which cause fetal death, I knew. When he told me that he just didn't understand how this infection hadn't passed onto her, I knew. God wanted this little girl here for a reason, and he wanted my attention, and he got both.

Wow. So, uh hi. Yeah been a while! Let's play catch up!

Since I last posted we found out that Macon #2 is a little lady! Scarlet was quite sure it was a boy named Leopard but alas, she was proven wrong! Baby will be named after my sweet Grandmother (& mom), Anne McCary (Annie).

We had a fantastic, LONG Christmas break. John & I both took over a week off of work and were able to do a whole lot of nothing, being back at work is proving to be very hard.

New Years. Yay. We ate junk food and I was in bed by 10.

Babies nursery - can't wait to get some work done in here. We have been hunting and gathering lots of little supplies. I have been buying all of the baby things used (or borrowing) b/c my brain actually works this time around & I realize she will shit in, puke on, or just plain hate at least one of the devices we buy to entertain her.

I bought this wooden sign in the color poppy for the new ones room. That will be about the brightest thing in there. Everything else will be light & neutral. I'm so excited for her room to come together!

I ordered this crazy looking pregnancy pillow off of Amazon in hopes that I would get some better sleep, not a minute later a girlfriend tweeted me and said I could have hers so I cancelled my order. I got this joker yesterday and ya'll. It is magical. I don't know that I will quit using it once I am done being pregnant!

This is baby 2 at 19 weeks. Cute as pie! Hope she looks like her sister, Scarlet made a pretty newborn!

Me at 9 or so. In a ONE PIECE jumpsuit with turtle neck. And hair sprayed hair.

So busy these days.
So tired these days.
So glad to have the fall season rolling in.
We are enjoying the cold weather, we are enjoying our cold weather staples like sweatshirts, soups, and socks at bedtime! John is enjoying hunting season, I am enjoying hot bath & book season. Speaking of books, Gone Girl. DUB-TEE-EFFFF. That book. That was something. I loved it. Got any good book recs for me?

What is your fall looking like? Ours seems to have just gotten a whole lot more laid back....

I suck at blogging.

Scarlet is hilarious. Last night we stopped by a friends house after school for a cocktail. (My friend, my cocktail, she was just along for the ride.) After making friends with a big pit bull named Duke, Scarlet decided that she wanted her own "Big Black Duke." Ya'll, the words came out of her mouth, "I want my very own BIG BLACK DUKE." I died laughing.

So friends mom happens to be a musician, which is awesome. She handed Scarlet her mandolin and held the cords for her and let Scarlet strum. She now wants a mandolin, and to take lessons. I will so give into that want. She also asked me how you say mandolin in Spanish, when I responded with Mandolina, she said ok well that is what I want to be called then. Mandolina Hinton Macon, please mom.

I stayed in a sweet ass bed & breakfast for work in Jackson, MS last week. Pretty sure it was haunted. But man was it gawgeous. Check it out, the Fairview Inn, I was in the Hayloft Suite. I can't wait to go back, I want to try all of the rooms, except the Roman, no thanks to a bed on a marble slab.

(not one to typically write the kid notes here, like never actually, but she has me thinking these days and I wanted to share.)

Scarlet,

You are 3 years old, if I was a "normal" mom blogger I would say 40 or something months but I'm not that great at math, so we will say 3. This has been the most challenging, yet rewarding, part of being a mom so far. All of the little words and stories and fun things coming out of your mouth, I feel like i can see the explosions happening in your head when you try to tell me something. You are the most fun. You shower me with "colimplents" (compliments) daily, you say you love my beautiful hair, my perfume smells like candy + princesses, my "jungle cat" (leopard) print shoes are your favorite. And it makes my heart swell. You are so kind and caring. You always check on people, make sure they are ok. You are mischievous right now, curious, learning how to "embellish" certain things. You told two lies just this week. You loathe timeout. You pretty much loathe being alone period unless you're sleeping. You're quite lazy, which surprises me. I am always pulling for outside play but like your dad, you'd much rather be on the couch, cuddled up and watching a movie. You want to quit soccer because you said it makes you tired. 30 minutes of exercise ONCE A WEEK, makes you tired. This is a tough age too, it must be terribly hard to be three. You find yourself in trouble at school about once every couple of weeks, and when I come to get you, you burst into tears trying to tell me why you got in trouble. You don't love taking naps but you will lay there and let me rub your hair until you fall asleep, and baby, I will do that forever if you will let me.

You will eat anything. Or try it at least. You take your time eating, unlike me. Matter of fact, you take your time doing everything. Down right slow! You aren't one for nicknames, even if I call you princess you correct me, it's "Plain old Scarlet." You are anything but plain & I love you just the way you are.

Alright, back to my old self, I've reached my emotional exposure limit for the year. Maybe I can get back to my regular antics and maybe I should consider locking all other posts I have ever written if I plan on Scarlet ever seeing this.... hmmm.

SO what if I kinda forgot I had a blog the past couple of weeks for no reason other than I'm lazy.
So what if I get to go to the beach KID FREE next Friday to have a relaxing Labor day with my inlaws and friends to celebrate a 40th birthday! (Kerry, tell Toby I outed his age on the blog).
So what if we still have 4 ~~roommates~~ family members living with us and my sis and I secretly love it...The guys are going bald though.
So what if I just realized I haven't blogged in 21 days... oops.
So what if I look forward to Fridays simply for the fact that it is the only day that I eat fast food. (and by only I mean usually).
So what if my google search keywords this month are Only Child Syndrome, Bare Booty, Dirty Linen Pants, & pictures of really cute babies.
So what if I really want my sis to get this house they put an offer on, not so she will move out but because I can't wait to hang out in it!

So what if my MIL texted me this morning to see if the little could come stay Thursday & Friday night with them and I couldn't respond YES fast enough! Let's face it, 3 year olds are jerks and this Momma needs a little break!

So what if my sister and her family are MOVING into our basement while they search for a house... Re-read that. Yeah that means 4 adults and 3 children in a 4 bedroom house. Oh god. Good thing we are B.F.F.'s.

So what is our husbands are probably going to divorce us for being so annoying when we are together and we will get to live the sister wife life we have secretly talked about :).

So what if my kid all of a sudden decided sleep is not her strong suit & it is making me BALD. No hair don't care.

So what if I bought 15 Disney movies on VHS from goodwill last weekend and have been playing them on loop for ~~myself~~ Scarlet.

So what if so many people I know are pregnant or have just had squishy babies and I want to squeeze them all!

So what if I have accepted the fact that I am a pinterest addict. The only thing I don't like is when shit I want to buy doesn't link back to a site OR I finally find it and it's $2,483,567.69 for a maxi dress.

So what if sister and I got ROBBED by an Indian lady at her garage sale this past weekend when she took a gas oven the tried to steal a pair of flip flops. When I busted her and told her the shit was five dollars, she threw a handful of nickels totaling a DOLLAR and me and hopped in the car and left. People that come to garage sales are so damn cheap ya'll!

Nothing new going on here. In my world quiet equals awesome.

I could not give less of a shit about a royal baby, although I find the whole succession line crazy and interesting!

This is the rainiest summer we have ever had. It makes for a lot of time stuck indoors... which makes me twitch.

Last weekend the outlaws came up to assist in building the playhouse S got for her birthday. Wow, about 24 man hours later we had this!

I went to Hobby Lobby during a nap and scored all of the summer decor for 70% off! I mean I just think this house is the cutest thing. And I'm pretty sure either she hates us or she doesn't think her very own house is cool because she's not playing in it. WTF guys? She will not play alone and hello, we don't FIT IN IT...

We had to get mulch to go around the playhouse so if a kid falls from the top they don't break their face, we may have gone a little overboard. Do you guys know what 10 cubic yards of mulch look like? Google it. It's a lot of freaking mulch.

After a full days work Saturday we took the night off to go see Widespread Panic, one of my top 2 favorite bands! We were blessed with an absolutely amazing show and cannot wait to see them again!

We had great seats as usual but I failed to take any pictures because I was too busy rockin' my face off. Dancing that leaves you sore the next day is the good kind of dancing!
Sunday was spent in the hurt locker, no I wasn't hung over, I had an awesome sinus infection moving in...just what I needed to start my week off right!

Oh yeah hey. We are going to the beach this weekend. There is a 70% chance of heavy rainfall the entire time we are there. Ya know, except when we leave on Sunday. Awesome. I live for driving a 3 yr old 4 hours, which turns into 5.5 hours, to sit in a condo... Nice.

Also, really glad tomorrow is my Friday. I know, rub it in more right?

I'm pretty sure I had the best birthday ever this year. Pretty low key, but the best. We celebrated with my in laws last week and loved it, Scarlet especially!

We took her to her first baseball game (my request) with a couple of friends and she loved it! I did too! The new Regions Field is a great addition to our city!

I also got a little friendly with a horse cop. The horse, not the cop, no worries.

Saturday night (my actual 31st anniversary of exiting the womb) we got a baby sitter and went out to dinner then met some friends... The hubby took me to a great restaurant (really like my favorite ever) then we went and had a Moscow Mule from here. It was special and made me feel all Harry Potter-ish. Vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice.

John took S earlier that day to choose a toy to take to Nonnie's... She said she wanted to be just like her Parpa (my dad) who LOVES to cut the grass...

(ohhhhhh that smile)

Painting a picture

I want to attempt to paint a picture for you, I fully believe that for as long as I live, I will never be able to describe the awesomeness that was Sunday. You may not get what's to come and why it was so great, but good god, what a day.

So me, my mom, and my sis went to the beach for our annual bday girls trip. No kids, no men, just us. We planned a giant boat trip for our last day. 8 people, one being a dude. ONE. So day starts, I pack a badass cooler, like I wish I had a pic. Beer, water, conecuh, bacon, hummus, veggies, sandwiches, the whole nine.

Before we even get to the boat, we get informed by one dude (E) that it wouldn't crank....

We deal, boat cranks, we go to sand dollar land (Ono Island) because its too early to drink and stay alive.

An hour later.

We try to leave, shocker, boat won't crank. Five attempts later and B having to pump some ball to keep the boat running we make it to the island. We drink, we eat, we drink. We make lots of magic vines. E looks towards the coast and says the perfect storm is brewing. We all laugh it off, totally forgetting about the whole BOAT NOT CRANKING THING.

Drink, drink, eat, drink.

Oh yeah, it really is going to storm. Lots of sideways rain, lots more vines, no working motor.... Sea tow gets called. They will be an hour. Well that's fine, we can just play in the rain.... Except there was lighting. So yeah. 8 people on a boat, in a typhoon, beer supply dwindling.. Klassy with a K.

3 guys with a battery box, trying to brave the storm, jumped us off 3 times but we just couldn't keep it running.

Side note here: people in OB are like a different breed, well, locals and owners are. There is the fair share of tourist trash but the locals all just kinda go with it. Shit happens, and they all know that it could happen to them. So everyone help. We dig boats out of the sand, you jump off strangers boats, you share beer, you just take care of you fellow island friends.

So battery box guy gets out of his boat, in a typhoon, and ties our boat to his. He then proceeds to DRAG us to our dock, get out ohs boat again and swim us into the lift. I can't make this shit up guys. I slung all of the cash we had on the boat at him, then unloaded the boat.

What a day. Just what a day. It was awesome.

Another week has come and gone. Again.
I feel like all week long I wish away the week, then it goes by, then I'm sad that the little keeps getting bigger, I keep getting older, and time keeps passing. Such is life I guess.
We have family in town for the nephew's 2nd birthday party. 3 kids, under 4, under one roof. The roof is mine. I'll let you guess how awesome that is.
My sis went to get her hair done on Wednesday at 5pm, leaving me with all 3 of them. For 2 hours.
But really, it was great. They were good and I managed to keep them ALL alive (and feed them dinner!)! Damn.

Midweek Randoms

Joining Meagan in a little link-up this week just to share the random-ness!

John comes home tomorrow! Need I say more?! We have been husband/daddy-less for a whole month and we finally get him back! Yay!

Scarlet looked at me yesterday and said, "Mommy, you wowwy about ya own self mommy and I'll wowwy about Scahlet, ok?" Wonder where she heard that?

We went to the beach again last weekend and had so much fun! We got to spend a lot of time with our dear friends, Becky and Cameron, that live there and are currently daddy/husband-less as well. Scarlet actually wanted to swim with no floaties so I obliged and man did she surprise me! She cannot swim by any means but she sure can jump off the side and kick hard enough to get up for a breath! I was shocked! All that kicking also made for a happy, sleepy girl! She went to bed and naps without so much as a talk, didn't even want to read books! She also found a new fave food when a man at a restaurant gave her a grilled shrimp. Random right? It wasn't weird to me because in OB it is like everyone is just nicer, possibly because they are all drinking... Anyway, she bypassed her grilled cheese that night and ate a dozen grilled shrimp. Pray for our wallets.

Does anyone watch those reality shows on ABC like Extreme Home Makeover and Undercover Boss? They have got to quit making them! I literally bawled my eyes out last night, alone, watching Extreme Weight Loss. While eating mini reese cups.
Scarlet has her first soccer practice today. I got her a couple pairs of little gym shorts to wear and she thought she was the coolest! She told me "my shoes are my supa fast socca shoes that help me kick da ball real fast."

I'm so excited for my Sister and her clan to get here next week! We always have a blast and we get to celebrate my nephews 2nd birthday!
Also even more excited for my friend LG to have her baby girl! She is 36 weeks pregnant and she makes the prettiest pregnant lady there is! Swear, go look. I'd have another too if I looked that good!

So I'm not one to toot my own (food) horn but y'all. I made a deconstructed Greek salad tonight that was blog worthy. Seri, make this now.

This was just the beginning. Chopped seedless cucumber, green pepper, Kalamata olives, halved cherry tomatoes, & thin sliced red onion. Squeezed a half lemon over the top and let sit until I was ready to eat. (pinsperation).

Next I grilled some chicken tenders that had cavenders seasoning on them. Right before I ate I put a slice of feta, a drizzle of olive oil, & a shake of oregano on the salad. BOMB DOT COM. Period. End of story. Make it now.
Next up. The little got to make her own dinner tonight! One thing that has kept us busy while John has been gone has been lots of "doing it mine self!" It's a great thing to let her demolish a bag of cheese and make her own pizza while I do the other "chores."

She got to choose her sides, they were raw broccoli and olives. I'll take what I can get.

Are you guys tired of hearing about the beach yet? Well sorry. I didn't wanna wash my hair tonight but I had to because once again we are going to the beach and no one bathes there...right? Oh just me? Hmmm... I loathe washing and drying my hair. First world problems, I know.

I found this pic of my girl the other day and it made me miss her hair. Also, how do kids get so smart?? Mine started pulling the "I love you mom, you're my favorite," right before doing something dick headish...is this normal for 3?!

Have you guys ever looked at the humor section of Pinterest? I don't repin that shit bc I get soooo tired of a feed full of memes but damn. It is hilarious. Today marks the day that I married my one true love 4 years ago. Four years doesn't sound like very long but when you do the math and add in a 3 year old it means that we weren't married very long before finding out I was pregnant. You do the math...

Apparently the 4 year mark calls for flowers or fruit. Seeing as how John is enjoying all of the food Austin has to offer, I knew fruit would sit in the hotel and go bad when ponied up with a good pizza or burger so I opted for flowers. For a guy. Delivered to his work. :)

Long time no see. John went out of town for a month to train for a new job. Single parenting is not for the faint of heart. At all. We have been trying to stay busy and between work and a 3 year old, that's not hard. In no particular order, here are some jewels from the past 2 weeks.

John left last Sunday. I was sick from Monday to Saturday... Typical. But I lost 5 pounds. So there's that.
We went to the beach with some friends for a few days. The weather mostly sucked, but a good time was had!
I didn't gain weight at the beach. First time ever.
Scarlet asked my friend *Fred why she had fur on her bottom. She also asked if she was going to have fur when she grew up, and big boobies. It wasn't awkward at all... Yes *Fred is a girl.
After working all day, then coming home and feeding, bathing, and mothering, there is no time to eat. Or bathe. Or do anything else I would like to do. Instead I just wash some clothes and dishes and go to bed myself. I now see why lots of single parents are skinny, and why they do drugs.
My 4th anniversary is tomorrow and I won't get to spend it with my hubs. Boo.
It has been determined that we are gonna have to get little bit in swim lessons. She has no fear when it comes to the pool, bay, or beach. Much like I was when I was little. She loved when I would take her floaties off and let her jump in with out help...and sink. Yay for a water baby!
This place has some of the cutest suits I have seen this year (for me). I am gonna have to order myself up a birthday present (or 2) before my next trip!
I got another stitch fix and only kept one shirt. I don't have pics because it was dark when I was trying on and my phone camera was not doing the job. Lets just say a tight, horizontally striped, floor length maxi will NEVER be on my list of things to buy...

Dental Damn part deaux

Hey remember last year when I got the bad news of my mouth? You guys. YOU GUYS. I had no idea what I was in for. NONE. I want to write this whole post in caps so you will understand how serious I am. But I won't.

So in my last post about the dentist I was under the impression (punny) that I would be spending a good chunk of money ($2,800) to correct the damage that my little vitamin sucker did to my grill while I was growing her in my womb. I had plans to have all of the things taken care of within a month of each other. Then more life happened and of course, no one has any problem putting off a dentist appointment! So I pushed it back and back and back until they called last week to tell me I had my cleaning. And I told them we still need to fix this shit. So they re-scheduled it. For the 5th time.

After my cleaning I asked the girl if I had any new cavities. She chuckled and said well I don't see any new ones per say, but unfortunately cavities don't get smaller... I started sweating thinking I was going to have to have a root canal (my ultimate fear).

Once the dentist finally came in to check out the damage he gave me the run down. He told me I needed more crowns and I am "lucky" I don't need a root canal. I told him to get a move on and lets do this shit. Quickly, while I am still calm. Before starting, front desk girl brought me a paper to sign, showing me the total of my tooth bill. I shit my pants. Right there in the dentist chair. Right when I got handed a bill for $5,600. FIVE THOUSAND AND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. Guys, the $2,800 from last year was a quote for all of my teeth. The left side of my mouth was supposed to cost $1,100. I just cost myself fourty five HUNDRED dollars by putting my appointment off.

So I didn't really shit my pants. I just cried a little then paid cause hello? It's not like I can leave after the whole "cavities only get bigger" spill. Then what? Then I come back in a year and you all of the sudden have to pull all of my teeth then I suck and can't even eat food because I put it off again? Ugh..

I was in that chair for 4 hours. 4 hours. 4 crowns and 3 fillings later. I finally got to leave.

Here I am, 3 days later, a hell of a lot broke-r, and with a mouth half full of fake teeth. My mouth is jacked. It hurts so bad. Still. 9 shots of Novocaine will do that to ya. 9. Yeah that was fun. Not. Here is a little collage for your viewing pleasure. Apparently I love me some instagram when high on NO2...

Moral here? Don't miss your dentist appointment. And have really good dental insurance...mine only covered $159.00. LAME.

Have you guys heard of Stitch Fix? I mean duh? Is that totally old news? Well I have been following some bloggers as they get "fixed" and I finally bit the bullet and got my own! What a great concept, and I mean duh, I get clothes in the mail.

First up was this necklace. I knew this was a keeper because a) look at it, b) I have been trying to add to my "fun jewelry" collection, and c) its cute. (stationed textured circles necklace - $28)

Next up, chevron maxi.... eh? I can't really get on the chevron train and maxi's do weird things to me. Or maybe it is just my ass doing weird things? Either way, I wasn't in love, on or off of me.

This little cardigan was CUTE but I have like 4 of these and I already don't really wear them. I feel like I am never really sure what to do with the hangy things in the front, then I just play with them, then I look like a creep. So it was a no as well.

This one was a keeper before I even put it on! I tried it with skinny jeans but wore it to work with giant bell bottoms. And it is cute! (Joss front tie sheer peasant top - $78)

ok, then this happened. I had to make this pic bigger so you can see what we are dealing with here. Guys, guys, what the eff is this guys? How do you wear something like this. Why is it so short? Where do you tie that belt thing? Is this a pink sack? I am so confused. Whose body does this work for? So yeah, this one was no.

So what I am saying here is that I thought Stitch Fix was a fun thing to do and I'm doing it again!

I am about 99% sure my child heard my thoughts yesterday as I looked at her and for a brief second and thought, we should just have another. She quickly realized she should show me that we should NOT have another. One is good, one is enough. Want proof. I happen to have it.

No less than 30 seconds after the thought crossed my mind, she was on the ground crying about the bubbles on her hands and in her mouth. She DRANK the bubbles and didn't like the way they tasted.

She quickly decided that chicken wings (her favorite food) are disgusting and she will not eat them.

She threw her cup that was freshly filled with ice and water down on her toe, causing a irreversible fit as well as a black, bruised toenail.

She whined constantly through her bath because "it's too hottttt, I want Ariel, sing the mermaid song mommy, waaaaaaah."

She acted like tonight was the first time in her life a bed time has ever been enforced when she threw her body to the ground at the end of Bubble Guppies, because that has never meant bed time before...

She made me hold her down to brush her teeth because apparently that is the new form of torture, oh and using the bathroom before bed? Forget it. She didn't need to go until AFTER she read 2 books.

She woke up the second I laid down and stayed up until 11:30. She was complaining of a belly ache. I knew it was legit because it woke me up too...it was gas. We have both eaten about 3-4 hard boiled eggs a day since Easter... Classy

Needless to say, I am happy with one. I can't do this shit times 2. I just can't. Don't get me wrong, she makes me happy, she just also has the ability to make me stabby all at the same time, espesh at 11:30 at night. And lets be real, newborns love them some 11:30 pm!

So what if Springfield, Missouri was AWESOME and I wanted to stay longer...
So what if last weekend was the 2nd time in my entire 30 years I have seen snow and I still think it sucks giant balls.

So what if I found the most fun (charitable) store ever and shopped in it each day I was there. Where awesome lives.
So what if I ate like this all weekend and am not at all worried about the weight I surely gained while on vacay. (For the record, it was another pound, weighed this morning...)

Yeah that is steak and egg crepes from the Aviary. (A.K.A. the best place ever).

So what if I wore these clothes the entire time I was gone & upon getting off of the flight I was thisclose to missing, thinking the plane stunk, I realized it was me. Maybe I should have changed...or bathed.

So what if I busted out fake tears to the skank Delta employee so she would call the pilot to let me on the plane after they had closed up because I didn't want to sit in the airport until 7pm that night!
So what if as of this moment I think St. Louis, MO is the most asshole-ish place on earth and everyone (5 people) I met there were nothing but hipster buttholes. (I must confess that I am sure if I had met Holly I wouldn't be saying this)!

Also, how could you like a place where this is the weather? I have a new respect for people that deal with this shit on the reg.

So what if I really wanted to buy these snow boots from a thrift store and would never even have the chance to wear them again, in snow that is :)

So what if I was so excited to get Scarlet "souvenirs" from my trip but ended up getting her Max & Ruby stuffed animals from a gas station and a St. Louis Cardinals shirt from Wal-Mart...
So what if I can't wait for Easter because we make prime rib.

If Weight Watchers were about gaining weight, I would be a lifetime member. Up another 1/2 lb here. To be honest, that's less than I thought it would be. I'm no idiot, I know WHY I'm up. Poor eating/drinking choices.

No time to dwell here. I am about to be on a party plane to St. Louis! Has anyone ever said "party & St. Louis" in one sentence? Is that even a fun place? Whatevs. I feel like a busted can of biscuits sittin' here in my tight jeans with muffins galore hanging over right now. Seriously, I am taking leggings only on my trip. That is even more gross that a muffin in jeans. It's like stuffing a 10 lb sausage in a 5 lb casing. I know I am painting a REALLY nice picture for you guys.

My kid has been awesome lately. You know, other than the nightly fire drills she has been putting us through. It's like her brain grew all of the sudden. So much smarter, making better (for the most part) decisions, and actually behaving. Dare I say it? She has been fun to be around. Last weekend we took her downtown for St Paddy's festivities and she had a blast. So did we. That's what I'm told anyway. After the 3rd bar I just slept in the van for 3 hours. Yep, like I said, WINNING. I slept in the the 3rd row of my mini-van for 3 hours. Read that last sentence again without laughing. Can't do it can you? So thankful for a husband (and in-laws) that see this as totally normal. In my defense I ate 2 pounds of crawfish in 9 minutes. Wonder why I gained weight?

If my 3 year old chooses 2 weeks out of each month to torture me. She wakes up randomly, screaming random things, (belly ache, school, my lip hurts?), requiring me to go in and shush/throat punch her.
If last night was one of those nights and I seriously wanted to throat punch her...
If I eat Skittles like they don't actually have any Weight Watchers points cause I want to, and I will not stop.
If I have a MAY-JUH surprise planned for the Hub's bday and cannot wait to tell him! Weekend of April 6th will be goin down in the books folks!
If I would rather take 14 Mondays off and go to the beach every weekend this year than take a solid week off for family vacation in August...

Catch Up

Today starts my fourth week of Weight Watchers. I have lost a total of 9 lbs. Pretty impressive if I could keep the momentum. When I woke up today, fully expecting to have dropped a pound or 2, I had not. No gain, but still. Boo. Not losing makes it really easy to want to pull in a drive through and get a delicious chicken biscuit cause your all like, "well I weighed today, I can work that off by next week, blah blah" but I didn't. I powered through and am now having my fat free yogurt and fruit. It's good, not chicken biscuit good, but nevertheless.

Last weekend we were on the way to a kid friends bday party. We stopped at Target to get the kid a gift and Scarlet was being a tool. When we left Target ($43 later, Gah why?) she decided that kicking me in the face was a good plan as I buckled her in her car seat. I wanted to punch her but I refrained. I got in the car and pulled out all the "You're cruisin' for a bruisin', I'm gonna spank the mess out of you" bull shit I had in me and she just looked up and said, "Momma? Please don't spank alla my mess out me ok?" I have a strong feeling the age of 3 is going to make me bald.

I think my prob with losing last week was not using my WW cookbook. I eat mega healthy throughout the day no questions, but when I get home I look for convenience. Now don't get me wrong, my convenient is still healthy, but not WW healthy. We have a deep freeze, a beer fridge with freezer, and our normal indoor kitchen fridge/freezer. That is 3 freezers. We have a lot of bulk meat that we are not willing to get rid of or let go to waste. So when we decide to have a healthy Taco Bowl dinner that's around 5 points, I fail to acknowledge that we are using full fat ground beef (instead of turkey) and don't bother adjusting my points... Dumb I know. Time to buckle down, and by buckle down I mean eat one less piece of bacon Saturday morning.

Scarlet keeps telling her teachers I am pregnant. They keep asking me. Like even when I have on a tight shirt and a flat stomach. WTF.

Last weekend my sister and I went to Pure Barre with a friend. Please tell me what the fuck I was thinking. My only form of exercise is walking to the outdoor fridge to get a beer. Pure Barre guys. That shit should be a) illegal, b) used in jail to punish inmates, or c) FREE. I absolutely hated it. I left class 3 times, twice I threw up part of a plum and water. What I am trying to tell you is that I would rather run 6 miles than ever do it again. After class I told the girl in front of me that I threw up. She said "yeah, I have been doing this for over 2 years and I still feel like that every class!" What the fuck? Torture. I will tell you this though, those bitches looked HOT!

Last but MOST IMPORTANT, I really did quit smoking! It has been a week today! And I bought those boots I wanted and my genius husband had the idea that I put $5 (cost of a pack) a day in a jar and at the end of the month go buy something. I like where his head is at!

I am trying to quit smoking. It sucks. It is gross. I haven't smoked since noon yesterday so yeah, there's that.
I lost a pound last week. Down a total of 8 I think. 12 to go.
Not smoking makes me want to punch an infant. Seriously.
My boobs look like tiny deflated balls and I am glad.
It is almost noon, I started this post at 9am, and I still haven't smoked.

Here are some pretty cool things:

First and foremost, my best friend and life partner (it's not weird), had this little slice of heaven. Isn't she just delicious?! She is snuggly, sweet, and pretty. She is going to make a great BFF for Scarlet!

A certain little girl has really been enjoying dress up and blocks all by herself (Thank you GOD) she plays alone some now...

Sorry I had to make the picture this big so you could see it. I like this bumper sticker. A lot.

This little Loo-Bell got new big girl glasses and is coming to see me! Today! I am excited :) Scarlet will be with the "out-laws" tonight so I will get some special auntie/niecy time with Emma!

When I haven't smoked for 2 days think I am going to buy those bottom right boots from Target. I keep seeing the ankle boots and they look cute, but I don't know if I can pull it off... Do you guys wear them?
