Hey guys have you heard of video converting? If not let me explain a little about it. You know all those great movies you have stored on your computer? The amazing "Movie Clean" -- A quick Cleaning story :)

Guess what I recently realized. Our movie collection is just out of control! We have DVD’s, VHS; yes we still have the dinosaur tapes even though they are in a rather large box and we have no way of playing them anymore. Do they even make VCR’s anymore? Our children love cartoons and anything to do with pirates, so over the years the collection has grown tremendously only now for me to realize that quite a few of them do not get watched or even taken from their cases that often. So, this mommy has decided it’s time for a little “Movie Clean”. While sifting through them I came across one of my favorites and several that I decided just needed to go. I contemplated on having a yard sale or just simply giving them away and that’s when the geek came out in me. Knowing that certain stores will purchase old games and/or gaming consoles I was on the mission to find a place that would buy my old DVD’s. After a quick Google search and going through countless websites I found several great places but only one really stood out. After signing up and going through a very quick and easy process I was able to print labels and send my old DVD’s in for some great cash. It’s not a lot of money but at least I have more room in our DVD collection to either add more movies that we will most definitely watch or simply have a nicer neater collection of DVD’s. My boy’s movie case sure did enjoy the little cleaning spree it was almost ready to burst at the seams! So let me ask you, do you have a DVD collection that could use a nice cleaning? Step one:

Be sure to click the green “How many pages is my likebook?”

Step two:

Once the page loads connect your Facebook account.

Step three: Choosing the “type” of Likebook you would like.

There are different kinds of Likebooks to choose from! Make a photo album, create page/group Likebook, A love story containing memories from two separate accounts or create a Likebook of friends.

Step four: “Customizing your preferences”

If you know the "real" me you would know that I should have been a teenager in the 80's. I loved the big hair and the cars and the music (which I still listen to) Journey (WITH STEVE PERRY) is my favorite band (well one of the older ones at-least) . My favorite car is the 1977 Pontiac Trans-am.

Look at that baby! Doesn't he make your mouth water?!!! Ah! I can see me cruising with the music blaring (Journey of course) Big shades and all! I've always wanted to own one but it has to be this model with the bird if not its not even worth my eyes looking at it.

The model I don't like is the 2002

So sad :( this car is just a glimpse at what it used to be and to me looks too much like the camaro :(

My child’s comfort has always and will always be a main concern for me. No matter where they are or what they’re doing I always want them to be comfortable. Now my youngest son will be comfortable on car rides (we take long trips to see my in-laws) thanks to Baby bee Haven and their Cush N’ Go Liner. Originally the liner is meant to be in a stroller but since we hardly use our stroller I wanted to be able to get the full use and experience with the product.

Today's prompt: What is one of your favorite flowers?

Have you noticed that most of the time the answer is "Rose" for most people. I'm not saying that people do not favor roses but there certainly cannot be THAT many people who favor roses. Anyways I do LIKE roses and YES the RED ones are just fine for me (since red {crimson} ) is my favorite color :) However my FAVORITE flower is the Cannon Lilly :) They are absolutely gorgeous! And they bring back TONS AND TONS of childhood memories since they too were my father's favorite (one of them at-least.)

Thanks to WIKI here is a short paragraph on the Canon Lilly :

Canna (or canna lily, although not a true lily) is a genus of nineteen species of flowering plants.^[1]^[2]^[3] The closest living relations to cannas are the other plant families of the order Zingiberales, that is the Zingiberaceae (gingers), Musaceae (bananas), Marantaceae, Heliconiaceae, Strelitziaceae, etc.^[4]

Canna is the only genus in the family Cannaceae. Such a family has almost universally been recognized by taxonomists. The APG II system of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, 1998) also recognizes the family, and assigns it to the order Zingiberales in the clade commelinids, in the monocots.

Does someone in your household carry a lunch with them for the day? Notice I said someone and not someone specific? That’s because Lunchboxes.com has a lunchbox for EVERYONE. With great favorites, vintages, and more literally there is something for everyone.

Lunchboxes.com is based in Los Angeles, California and was founded in November 1998. The goal that lunchboxes.com tries to achieve is to meet the needs of everyone that needs lunchboxes and accessories. For this review we received the plain metal lunchbox in hopes of creating a “Masterpiece”.

What is one of your favorite grill recipes?

I don't know the actual recipe but my Best Friend from my childhood's dad made the most AMAZING grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy and tasty highly of Dale's sauce which I loved! Almost every time I was there he was grilling and the "best" chicken was on the menu. Her mom also made the best baked beans which contained hamburger meat! I had never in my life had baked beans with hamburger meat before. Thinking about these brings back a lot of old memories from all those years ago.

Shattered a tragedy on the mountain-

On a cold, crisp November morning a truck pulling a fifth wheel RV rolls onto the Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico. There is no one around for miles and while it has a stark beauty, it is a desolate spot. The man driving the rig is a fugitive from the law. He is a tormented, lonely soul who has endured all of the misery he can tolerate. He is past trying to deal with the ever-present depression. He has nothing to continue to live for and has lost all that matters to him. At one time he had it all—successful career, wife, son, beautiful home and ranch. He had brought his life’s dreams to reality. That is all gone now and only memories remain as a constant companion, haunting his every moment. His life as a respected bank president who worked tirelessly in civic and charitable organizations on behalf of the community he served feels as if it was someone else’s life, not his. He is living an unbelievably hellish nightmare, facing at least six months in an Arizona prison. He has nothing left to live for and no way out. The man stops the truck. He reaches across to the passenger seat, picks up his .45, and puts it under his chin. As the sun rises at his back, the light reflects off the gun’s barrel like a sunburst. Tears stream down his face, his hands shake, but he knows this time it is for real. There is no going back. The man’s trigger finger begins to pull back and his last thoughts are of the life he has lost, what he had been, and what he has become.

Shattered is a great book that is a true life story of a mentally ill man. The man who once had it all quickly loses everything and everyone he loved most dear. I myself have lived with depression since the age of nine and was later diagnosed with bi-polar by the age of sixteen. My story has been long and hard but with my husband by my side i've managed to make it through a lot of trials and tribulations. This book has inspired me to start taking my medicines and even have a visit with my Dr. whom I have not seen in quite some time. Shattered is truly an eye opener to those who suffer from the disease and those who live with those who suffer from it. The story is written by Dr. Donna Nicholson and her son Gary Nicholson; the two people who lived through the tragedy and “Hell on Earth” if you will. Donna really captured the loving and scary moments throughout her life and brought them together to form this story, the tale of her life and her sons. This is definitely a must read, from start to finish it was very hard for me to put this book down.

Dr. Donna Nicholson:

Dr. Nicholson has educated for over forty years; teaching and training adults is still a large part of her work today. In 2009 Dr. Nicholson retired from her last superintendent position and became the President of Donna Nicholson & Associates. Her most notable award is the Key Communicator Award for Texas given to her as the person who made the biggest impact on education. Dr. Nicholson currently resides in Texas.

Gary Nicholson:

Gary Nicholson is the son of Dr. Nicholson and her late husband. Gary has achieved quite a few good things throughout his life including becoming the Executive Producer for Dogpile Productions and currently resides in California.

If you haven’t noticed there are tons and tons of planners out there that are great for keeping your daily lives organized. Rag and Bone is one of the great companies who offers a simple yet affordable and downright adorable planner. Complete with monthly sections and daily sections you are sure to have just what you need. The greatest part to me is that there is room for extras; being a blogger I need room for scheduled blog posts , giveaways, reviews, and items that are on their way. So with all of this in mind I crafted my planner to fit my needs with no problems at all. Adding to each monthly section a “giveaways” section , “On the way” section and a “Reviews” section. Using simple everyday tools I was able to very easily get exactly what I needed in a planner and still have room (plenty of room) for more.

Writing Prompt 6/2/13 --- #challengetowrite

6/2/13- Who is one of your favorite Authors and why?

Today's writing prompt is about my favorite Author , well theres one problem with that; I have more than one.

My first one has definitely got to be : Edgar Allan Poe

The reason for this one is because I love poetry and "The Raven" is and will always be my favorite. Poetry has always been apart of my life, when I was younger it was my way of dealing with the stress of life , and yes I did have stress as a child. Living without either parent and then one parent dying at the age of nine and the ins and outs of living with your grandparents who just never understood you or the way you think. Living with depression at that age is not an easy thing to deal with but that's a different post.

My second author is Charlaine Harris: The "Tru Blood" books as most refer to them. The Sookie Stackhouse Novels are my favorite by her. I didn't start reading the books until after I had watched the first season of Tru Blood all those years ago. Each book is definitely hard to put down , once I start I don't stop until i'm done.

My third is Stephenie Meyer because yes I am a Twi-Hard , I love anything and everything Twilight because I'm a nerd... but that's okay too :)
