He is Back!

Yes, he's back! Yay! We have a lot of catching up to do. Anyway, these past few days, I am super happy, well, it is a happiness more than I could imagine it would be. He is actually gotten quite pretty big (physically) than the last time I saw him, but the way I see his physical transformation, it was kind of sexy lol. He stayed 3 nights here at home and I am so glad he did.

We talked a lot of things and we just enjoy each others little fights lol, I tried to annoy him but all my efforts were to no avail haha! He is such a gentleman and I am very happy that he's here now. Thank you dearest Father for taking care of him and for guiding him always. I can tell that he is more matured now than the last time and it was an improvement, kudos to my love. I know he will be more than what I expect from him. Thanks my dear for all the pasalubong, it was really too much.

After all we've been through, all of it was worth it. I know it was hard for the both of us but I dunno I'm glad we've endured all the hardships. You have no idea how lucky I am to have you in my life now dear. I love it you brought Nutella with you hehe.Thank you so much!!! mwaaaaah!

If you visit twitter, Stop SOPA and PIPA is trending already worldwide. Even Google has it on their homepage that states Tell Congress: Please don’t censor the web! asking to sign a petition to the Congress. What exactly are these bills, PIPA and SOPA? How it can affect a typical user or anyone who uses the internet. See the video below.

I love this video so much, Louie Giglio is amazing! I love the way he used Science to make us realized how great is our GOD. I am super overwhelmed. Seasons of Love ~ RENT

Sooner my five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes will be over. I am about to face another year, another challenge to face and another mountain to climb. The days had gone by so fast, this year has been, hmm dunno I don’t want to label it as heartbreaking but it is. Although tragic and sadness filled my heart this year, I am thankful that I am still alive and kicking; blessed with everything. I have a lot of good memories this year and a lot of first times too. I don’t want to enumerate those first times; those were just the places that I’ve been visited this year, the contest I joined and some crazy adventure slash stuff.

For the last three days, I successfully detached myself to the web world. I decided to travel, to my hometown to visit the grannies. I missed my place, the air, the sunset, the sea and the people. I missed everything and how I wished I stayed longer. I had a good and gentle rest, and truly enjoyed my short visit. For me, those are precious times. I needed those moments of silence and serenity. I am glad I have followed you oh dear self.

I don’t want to write New Year resolutions; I know I’ll end up in disappointment. Instead of writing those resolutions, I will write little goals for the coming year and will take it one baby step at a time. I want to be more productive this coming year, but I don’t want to deal with major changes for I know, I have to practice self-control and use my willpower to its fullest potential, you know how hard is that, right? I’m not really that pretty good in ignoring my desires and unhealthy impulses as of the moment. I am, however, a little frustrated of myself lately.

I hated to think that I am trapped with the body of a young lady with a sixty year old mind. Well, I am, you know have difficulties in recalling things, mother earth scolded me every time I forgot where I place my things and I worry a lot if I can’t remember them. I should try to practice the habit of mind relaxation. Hehe.

Yay! 2012 is coming; no one really knows what is up for us this coming year but I hope people learned something this year, I hope so. The mistakes and pains are spices of life, they say. Let us welcome another year with high spirits! And measure the life in love. Have a bountiful New Year to all!

I know it was tough to celebrate Christmas this year because of the tragedy but still we should celebrate Christmas despite of everything. I am indeed thankful to God for everything, for taking care of my family, loved ones and friends. Although we are not complete this year it is not the reason to be sad. Last Friday, I couldn't imagine that this tragedy would happen here in our place. Friday, December 17, 2011, a storm named Sendong washed out all the people's houses here in the city where I lived for almost 5 years. It was disheartening; I saw dead bodies of people and children on the street. I couldn't believe that in that moment while I was sleeping, other people were at the top of their houses, screaming for help, it was so dark, there was no electricity, everybody was busy saving their own lives. It was just 5 hours of heavy rain and there are hundreds of people found dead even hundreds are missing till now. The City is now in the state of calamity.

Book Review: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Yey! Finally, I’m done reading this book. I chose to read the book when I saw the video from Sparknotes.com. I have plenty of 10 mins videos from them and I started to listen to each of them. I liked the way they review the whole story and the lessons you'll have to learn from it. This is basically a family and growing up story since it involves a family living in an old county in Alabama.

The story revolved around with the main characters, Scout, Jem and Atticus Finch in a sleepy town of Maycomb Alabama. Atticus Finch is a lawyer and a widowed father living with his two children Scout and Jem with their loyal black cook Miss Calpurnia. One summer, Scout and Jem befriended this boy named Dill. They would play around the house. One day, Dill was fascinated by the mysterious house on their street which was called the Radley place. The house was owned by Mr. Nathan Radley living together with his brother Arthur and usually known him as Boo in their small town. Then Dill dared the two that they will let Boo come out of his house. Boo has been in the house as long as Scout or Jem could remember and they never had seen him before, not even his shadow. They have made attempts to no avail.

Then Atticus soon learned their scheme and reminded Scout a very important lesson. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view until you climb into his skin and walk around in it, said Atticus. Scout was just a little girl, she never understand at that time but as the time goes by she eventually learned what was that mean.

“Remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” That was the only time I ever heard Atticus say it was a sin to do something, and I asked Miss Maudie about it.
“Your father’s right,” she said. “Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy . . . but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.”

Atticus agreed to help a black man named Tom Robinson who has been accused of raping a white woman named Mayella Ewell. On this part of the book you can sense the racial discrimination. Most white people in their community don’t like colored people as what they labeled Negroes. Well, Atticus tried his best to defend the poor man but the all white jury ended a decision that Tom was guilty. Tom later on tried to escape from prison but was shot to death. Bob Ewell, the father of Mayella holds a grudged to Atticus because of what happened in the court. He said he would take his revenge.

When Jem and Scout walked home from Halloween party, Bob Ewell attacked them that ended Jem’s left arm broken. Suddenly, Boo intervenes and killed Bob Ewell just to save the children. Boo carried them home and later on Scout realized that it was Boo who saved them in that shocking incident.The Sheriff in order to protect Boo insisted that Ewell tripped over a tree root, fell on his own knife and killed himself eventually. Scout understands that making a hero out of Boo would be like killing a Mockingbird. Scout now finally absorbed her father’s advice to practice compassion though life may be so unfair at times.

I liked the story a lot. I learned a lot of things and lessons worth sharing. The best part for me was the end part, Chapter 31. She learned the moral outlook metaphor in killing a Mockingbird. I felt sorry about Tom Robinson’s, clearly racism was present. It was hard living that way but they managed to live their life in a simplest way as they could. I would definitely recommend this one to a friend. Sometimes it takes a single occurrence to realize you have to broaden your mind and understand an individual, which you have to consider things from his point of view, climb into his skin and walk around in it.

Personally I wanted to thank Sheena for introducing this book to me, at first I never give it that much credit then I realized that why not give it a try since it was one of Sparknotes top books. I truly digested a lot of positive lessons from this book. Please if you have time read this one.

A girl who sits alone in a room full of people. No one ever saw her, even care to approach her. I know she smiles but deep inside she's hiding something. A crowd wouldn't even notice her presence. She even pretend that she's busy, though deep inside she wanted to cry.

I experienced being miss invisible when I was a kid. Tell me, who wants to be alone? I wanted to have friends but they didn't even notice a kid like me. I started to asked myself, what's wrong with you?! But I couldn't figure out what was the problem, I was just a kid though. I tried so hard to fit in but nobody wants to be with me. I was bullied and I cried every-time until to the point that I don't want to go to school but of course my mother forced me to go to school hehe, I didn't told her that I was bullied at school. I started to approached them but they said they don't like me, they said I was ugly.Duh?Big deal?But as a kid, I felt so sad. Just because of my physical appearance they don't want to be friends with me.

I would eat alone.I just watched my classmates at the distance happily running and playing around with other kids. I was a loner when I was a kid. It started to change when I was in Grade 2. It was hard to be left alone cause everybody thinks that you are different.

I was searching about what is carpal tunnel syndrome cause I have this numbness on my fingers due to typing for long hours. I've heard this syndrome from friends and colleagues. So, I'm just curious about this carpal tunnel syndrome and decided to search it on youtube. Kindly see the video below for the clear explanation about carpal tunnel.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can be treated through regular massage therapy treatments, chiropractic and carpal tunnel release surgery. One of the symptom was the irregular numbness of the thumb, index,long and ring finger.
Here's another helpful video about symptoms and exercise for treatment and prevention.

I'm going to take note of this symptoms since prevention is better than cure.

The attack of Canker Sore

I can’t eat well these past few days. I have this shallow white wound with a red border on my tongue and it was really painful. The canker sore is now an inch inside my mouth and I felt uncomfortable especially when I try to eat and drink something, there is that burning feeling and I felt like crying. I was like:

Owh!!!

Help!

Uwaaaaa.

I want this canker sore to be gone forever and ever unfortunately the sore wants to stay for awhile argggh how long will it take? I don’t have to worry since canker sores are not that contagious. In the first place what’s the reason behind this and why do I have this aphthous ulcer? According to kidshealth, there might be a connection between canker sores and stress. I’m stress?! I don’t think so! –insert denial moment here.

One reason might be a sharp tooth or other dental use such as the braces and/or ill-fitting dentures. Well, FYI I don’t wear braces more importantly I don’t have dentures. Maybe I bit my tongue hard, but I can’t remember really. One cause is about dietary deficiencies such as not getting enough vitamin B12 and iron. Anyway, I don’t have the time to think if I have those deficiencies, all I want is that I want this to be gone so that I can eat and drink well. Actually, most canker sores will heal on their own in a few days or a couple of weeks. My canker sore was 6 days now so I hope dear God that it will heal before Saturday since I have a choral practice on that day.ugh!

Here are the ways to treat a canker sore.

Various over-the-counter medicines can help to take the sting out of canker sores. Carbamide peroxide is a combination of peroxide and glycerin that cleans and coats the sore to protect it. Other over-the-counter remedies have benzocaine, menthol, and eucalyptol in them. These need to be applied repeatedly and may sting at first, but they can numb the sore and cut down on how long it lasts.
Try brushing and rinsing with toothpastes and mouthwashes that do not contain SLS.
Some homemade mouthwashes can ease pain as well. Try rinsing your mouth four times a day with a mixture of two ounces of hydrogen peroxide and two ounces of water or a combination of four ounces of water mixed with 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Swish the mixture in your mouth for about a minute and then spit it out — do not swallow it!
Dabbing a mixture of equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide directly on the sore, followed by a bit of milk of magnesia, may reduce discomfort and speed healing.
Some doctors suggest putting wet black tea bags on sores. Black tea contains tannin, a substance that can relieve pain. You can also find tannin in some over-the-counter medicines.

I tried the 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of salt mixed with water and used it as a mouthwash 2-3 times a day. But the burning sensation was still there. Here are the foods that I have to watch out: spicy and acidic foods such as lemons, tomatoes, nuts and potato chips. Now this is really helpful, brushing teeth with a soft-bristled brush and flossing daily will keep a mouth free of foods that might trigger a sore. Hmmm, this is actually a nice tip.

On the other hand, I have to keep this in mind: if a sore is large, a sore that last 3 weeks or longer, difficulty in drinking fluids, and a high fever. If ever I have these symptoms, I really need to call a dentist.

I am praying that this will heal soonest.

I was trying to look for the script of the Vagina Monologue: Say it! For the Comfort Women by Eve Ensler, which is about sexual violence among women.

We have performed this monologue during the 5th Anniversary of the company. Though, it was my first time to perform a monologue and was my first time also to encounter such a heavy story. At first, I couldn't believe that this happened long ago during the Japanese war, I guess. Eve Ensler has plenty of vagina monologues which is of course relates to vagina, but the piece that she wrote is that a vagina is a tool for female empowerment. Since, I couldn't find the script, here's the video performed by the student of Hampshire College.

The monologue brought sadness to my heart. I never thought that this monologue was a heavy one. I almost cried when I first read it. Of course, I didn't want to cry in-front of my colleagues that time, hehe. It was heavy for me, violence against women.We women should remember and celebrate VDAY, until the violence stops.

I don't know what I want, so don't ask me. I totally agree with Taylor Swift, I think she was 13 or 11 when she wrote this song. At that age, does she know already her passion or what she wanted to do in life? I have this moment of silence, thinking what I want in life. I'm still trying to figure it out really. They say "follow your heart, follow your Passion" weeeeeee that's so easy to say but sounds hard.

Whatever it is or what's up with me down that road, I know sooner I run into it. I wasn't procrastinating; I was just taking my time. What matters to me now is that I am grateful everyday that I got this chance to discover my passion, to continue what I love doing, to be with my family and to be with those people who loved me. I know that others are fortunate enough, maybe they know some shortcuts in finding their passion but duh it doesn't apply to all people.

done something stupid

Gah! I've done pretty stupid things today. As you can see I changed my house, my blogger-template-again. I've done something wrong on the html codes and the blogger post was GONE! All my posts were nowhere to be found! huhu. I don't know how to put it back; I started to worry but I kept my composure.

uwaaaa, the problem was, after uploading the new template, I have 2 blog posts under the layout area. weeeee, I dunno how to delete it since I cannot delete it on the layout page. I'm so desperate to delete the other blog post, what I did was, I stupidly deleted it on the HTML codes and save the changes! To my horror, I saw my blog with no post. Whoa! I was thinking to start a new blog again, but how about all my post? Oh heavens, I was like:

what should I do?

OH NO!

I should fix this!!

I turned to my friend Google to look for a blog post html code but can't find anything. waaaaaa, I can't think of the right keyword cause I can't think very well. I felt anxious already. I should fix this. Then, I realized I have my Hungry Onion blog, I hurriedly checked the HTML codes and found the blogger post code. weeeeeee, I paste it on the HTML template but I have no idea where to place it on its proper place. I remember something so I went to Blogger Template Designer and found the Add CSS under Advanced Tab and paste the code.

And Vwala! haha

Everything went back to normal again.

I learned my lesson well.

Anyway, this is my first post for October. I actually love this challenge, just found this out on tumblr, so why not give it a try. I like/adore/love Japanese animated films especially from Studio Ghibli. I post this challenge on my tumblr blog, but I decided to post it here since I want to read this over and over again. hehe. This is so me, young at heart forever XD

1. First Studio Ghibli movie? My first studio Ghibli film movie was Spirited Away. Our neighbor told us to watch it, so we did. What I like about the movie was it has a unique plot. The characters are so cute. The scene and the soundtrack complement the whole story. It was a fulfilling fantasy movie since I love watching animated films so that’s the first time I fell in love with Studio Ghibli films.

2. Favorite Studio Ghibli movie and why? Howl’s Moving Castle would be my favorite. There’s something about magic fantasy and I just love Howl much. haha! The story was cute especially the castle is moving and the switching of places using the door with diff colors and will take you to a different world of magic and fantasy. The cute love story of Howl and Sophie >.< I just love them both. The story was based by the fantasy novel by the British author Diana Wynne Jones. *currently reading the E-book*

3. Least favorite Studio Ghibli movie and why? My least favorite studio ghibli movie was Ocean Waves. hehe, i dunno just don’t like the girl. She’s so mean xD but I know she was doing that on purpose but I just don't like her pretending that she's bad, though she's not. Actually the guy slapped her on the movie for being so mean. haha! Whatta guy. The story was neat but kinda not into it really.

4. Favorite female main character and why? That would be Princess Nausicaa. She’s strong and kind-hearted girl. She’s willing to give herself for the greater good.

5. Favorite male main character and why? Howl. He’s a hottie wizard, pretty good in magic, attractive and a gentleman. He loves Sophie :)

6. Least favorite character and why? Hmm that would be Witch of the Waste. She’s heartless and very mean. She turned Sophie into a 90-year old woman so that Howl won't like her. Not to mention she's huge.

7. Studio Ghibli movie(s) you haven’t seen? Tales from Earthsea - haven’t done watching this ;) Pom Poko and My Neighbors the Yamadas.

8. Favorite Director? Of course the one and only Hayao Miyazaki weeeeeeee..

9. Favorite ‘bad guy’ and why? Well, technically, this is not a human guy XD though I considered him as the bad guy on The Cat Returns.. He’s the The Cat King. This fat cat is a king and has a funny side. Definitely the craziest character.

10. Favorite secondary character and why? Shirou Nishi in Whisper of the Heart. He was Seiji’s grandpa I think. He was a good person and had a good advice to Shizuku.

11. Favorite animal? The red elk called Yakul. Ashitaka’s noble steed. This animal is really faithful.

12. Favorite spirit creature? The Tree spirits in Princess Mononoke called Kodama. They're kinda cute.

13. Favorite pairing? Howl and Sophie.

14. Favorite song? One Summers Day - Spirited Away.

15. Favorite moment? Howl and Sophie kissed each other at the end of the movie. *kilig to the bones*

16. Favorite piece of fan art?

17. Favorite quote? The grandfather of Seiji said this to Shizuku: You and Seiji are like the Emerald stone — rough,unpolished, still natural. The rough stone is inside you, you have to find it and then polish it, it takes time and effort. You see that ore that makes up most of that stone? You could polish that, but what you’d get would be worthless. The smaller part inside is purer. There might be a better stone deep inside where we can’t see.

18. Which world(movie) would you like to live in? I like to be in the world of Ponyo. I dunno, I just love the small island with the beautiful sceneries.

19. Last Studio Ghibli movie you saw? The last movie I saw was, Nausicaa of the valley of the wind. The movie is neat but I like the heroine more. She’s definitely a good role model.

20. Saddest moment? The saddest moment was from the movie Grave of the Fireflies. The time where the two orphaned children Setsuko and Seita was dying of starvation. I was crying my eyes out while watching this movie. I remember those kids in Africa dying cause of starvation. What I like most was his brother Sieta, he done so much to keep his younger sister alive. He even tried to steal food from local farmers. His aunt is so cruel. That time his sister was sick, it was malnutrition. I was crying at the end of the movie when Setsuko was hallucinating, sucking a marble thinking it was a fruit drops :( super sad movie.super duper duper. T^T

21. Funniest moment? So far, the funniest moment was in the movie The Cat Returns. Cats are able to stand with just two legs, I find it amusing. Plus, the king is one comical character. haha!

22. Favorite Studio Ghibli cosplay?

23. Studio Ghibli movies that you own? I don’t have DVD’s but I have plenty downloaded movies on my lappy. weeeeeeee. . at least I have. I will buy one if ever given a chance xD

24. If you had never seen any Studio Ghibli movies would your life be any different? I don’t think so. Studio Ghibli movies changed a lot my view in watching good animation movies. Whenever I watched animated films, I compare it a lot to Studio Ghibli animated films. There was something in japanese animated films that I can’t put my finger on it. :D

25. Least favorite couple? Hmmm, maybe Nausicaa and Asbel. I dunno if this one counts, they’re not a couple or I was just wrong haha! I dunno maybe. xD

26. Favorite fan inspired couple? hummm, as much as I wanted to answer this one but I really have no idea.

27. Character you identify with most? I think that would be Howl and Sophie in Howl’s Moving Castle. Since I’ve seen this movie many times, I read the book and heard the audio book too. I guess these two characters I can identify the most. :P

28. Favorite Studio Ghibli short film? Oh nooo, I haven’t seen one. hehe. I will download one so that I can watch already. *wink*

29. What movie would you recommend to someone who has never seen a Studio Ghibli Film? I recommend Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away :D

30. What movie would you love to see a sequel for? Whisper of the Heart.

5 Ways to escape Boredom.

When boredom strikes me I make sure that I have to run off and divert my attention to other things that would make me more productive. Some of my friend would ask me what I would do if the state of being bored hits me. Well, that’s not kinda hard. Haha! Anyway, I want to share my simple five ways to escape boredom.

1. Watch a movie. Yes, hehe, I frequently download movies that suits to my taste. I love watching films especially animation, romance, comedy and pretty much suspense with a matching twist and turn of the plot. I usually go to IMDB.com to check the movie ratings which is pretty much important in choosing a good movie to watch; of course you don’t want to waste your time on watching with a predictable plot.

2. Read Books online and offline. I have plenty of books in hand and there are amazing post in the web world which is actually helpful and inspiring. I usually read self-enhancement blogs, I subscribed to their blog so I won’t visit their blog all the time. If you subscribed to their blog you’ll receive all their post and updates straight to your inbox, that’s more convenient.

3. Blogging. Yay! Hehe, one of my favorite places online is my tumblr page. I can post whatever I like, whenever I want on that blog. That blog was actually my jpg blog; most of the posts were all images. I like manga, anime and taylor swift and quotes and random ideas that comes to my mind. I enjoy discovering new tumblr pages and anime images. I typically spend 2 hours just browsing and reblogging post haha! My blogspot blog is somehow more a serious type of blog hehe. Anyway, I love these two blogs of mine. This is my medium of craziness.

4. Videoke. Singing is one of my favorite hobbies. Haha! Though I know I don’t have the diva voice of Charice Pempengco at least I enjoy myself singing her songs haha! I record my voice sometimes through my phone, weeeee., It shows that I enjoy singing much. I’m not a good singer I just enjoy myself listening to my cute voice lol. My choice artists: Taylor Swift, Charice, Marie Digby and Adele. Band artists: Lady Antebellum and Paramore (not that much). I also sing Justin Bieber songs – wala lang likey ko lang yung songs hehe and OPM (Original Pinoy Music) of course.

5. Watching my favorite Ghibli films. I have my favorite movies of course; I keep them all on my Drive D. hehe. I am very much in-love and fascinated to Japanese animation especially Studio Ghibli films. These movies even though I’ve seen it more than 2 times, it never fade the excitement and delightful feeling that I have. I felt like a kid and a teenager. The feeling never gets old. I felt young and vibrant. If you have kids, I’m pretty much sure your kids will love it too. My favorites are Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Grave of the fireflies, The Cat Returns, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Whispher of the Heart, Princess Mononoke and Kiki’s delivery Service. You can download the movies online and make sure to choose the English language just to make sure your kids will enjoy it too. Some of the movie is in Japanese language but you don’t have to worry since it has an English subtitle.

There you have it folks, that’s my 5 ways to escape boredom. Since boredom is inevitable you have to make sure you have a leisure activity that would help you to break away from that feeling. Activities that somehow make you more productive on the other hand get pleasure from it. You just have to identify what are activities that you like and enjoy the most. What is forgiveness?

Today’s homily is all about forgiveness. I thought of it for awhile and I said it’s so hard to forgive someone who made your life miserable, isn’t it? I’m only human; I can get angry and hate that someone, a natural instinct especially when I’ve been hurt badly. But God can forgive us that easy. Is it because God is not a human? Or God loves us that much that he doesn’t want to lose us? Matthew 18:21-25 is about the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant.

²¹ Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” ²² Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. ²³ “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. ²⁴ As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. ²⁵ Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

I thought I could never ever forgive the person who has done something so bad to me. I have tried but I couldn’t. I actually turned to God and asked him, why should I feel this way? Is it wrong to hate someone? Is it wrong to get angry at them cause of what they did? How can I forgive them dear God? I can’t find the nerve to forgive them ever. I hated them much.

Forgiveness is a choice. We must trust God to work on us so that forgiveness will flow easily within our hearts. Forgiveness involves time as well. Maybe we can’t forgive that person now, maybe in time we are ready to move on and let go of that anger and hatred inside our hearts. So true that forgiveness is a slow process.

When we learn to forgive someone we receive the award of freedom. Corrie Ten Boom, a Christian woman who survived a Nazi concentration camp during the Holocaust, said, "Forgiveness is to set a prisoner free, and to realize the prisoner was you." We know much that we suffer most because we choose not to forgive and that we imprisoned ourselves to hatred, anger and bitterness. When we forgive we let go of those negative feelings.

Safe Haven is the new book added to my Nicholas Sparks collection novels. I guess my goal 101 is on the move now. hehe, I stopped buying books since I felt like I was book hoarding already. I bought plenty of books which turned out I didn't have time to read --- I mean all of them.

But this book was a gift from a very cutie friend of mine, I didn't expect that. It was her birthday but picture this out she gave me a gift. hehe, She's really a kind hearted lady. She knows that I adore Nicholas Sparks and I'll be ecstatic to have one. Safe Haven is my fourth book now. Yehay!! I will read this one maybe this weekend so I can post the review. Thank you so much to my cutie sister Elj for this book. waaaa I told her I have to buy her one. I will, next time *wink*

- Wow. I can't think of any place beautiful. Where do usually cruise go? hehe..Well, maybe Greece, I saw the movie Mama Mia and the place is so enchanting.

- I would like to go to Boracay and try parasailing with my boypran.. hehe, We have plans but he's not yet here.

Learning to let go of what I can’t control.

As much as possible I really want to control my life, my destiny, like be the captain of my own ship.But there are certain things that I can’t control and sadly I can’t do anything, it’s frustrating, but that’s life. One thing that I have to learn is to let go of those things that I cannot control. After the incident, I start to worry about my future. As for now I am lost but suddenly it occurred to me that I’m just scared, because the truth bites me in the ass that I am not doing any good for myself or I don’t know, maybe it’s the reason why I’m kinda lost.

Those things that had happened are suppose to happen in the first place. Those are things that I can’t control and practically the reason why I’m in the edge of uncertainties and anxiety. I started to think about negative things that could happen, scary even. Then I realized I am so selfish. I was only thinking about myself.

Is the situation I can’t change or I won’t change? Well honestly it’s a situation that I can’t change. I just hope for the best that one day everything’s going to be alright. It is much better to let go and just move forward. I don’t want to consume my thoughts about those things that don’t deserve my time and energy. It’s my choice. We do have a choice, everyone does.

Despite all those things, I stay positive about it, I even told myself if God closes a door He will surely open a window. I learn to stay focus and not letting the situation consume my thoughts so I can be able to have peace of mind.

I have to be mindful too, it helps me to simplify the situation and much easier to deal with. I take time to do things that would make me happy, smile and visualize that each day is a new day as well as a new chance to start all over again. I want to thank God for always being there for me and to my family who loves me dearly and ready to catch me every time I fall. I am still blessed. Have a beautiful day to all! 5 Centimeters per Second

A chain of short stories about their distance..

A story about Takaki Tono and his close friend Akari Shinohara. The film consists of three episodes: Cherry Blossom, Cosmonaut, Byosoku 5 Centimeter.

"The movie is named 5 Centimeters Per Second for the speed at which cherry blossom petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways."

Episode 1: Cherry Blossom

Takaki and Akari became close friends when Akari transfers from his school. They became inseparable; they have that same attitude, likes and interest. One day they just realized that they’ll no longer be able to see each other again. After graduating from Elementary school, Akari moves to Tochigi due to her parents’ job. Both keeps on communicating through letters, but Takaki knows that it will somehow end soon. Takaki have to move out to Kagoshima, so he decided to personally meet Akari, since he knows he might not able to see her again after moving. He writes a letter for Akari but during his journey he kinda losses the letter and the snowstorm delayed his trip for several hours.

When he arrived he thought that Akari might not be waiting since he was very late, but he was surprised that Akari waited at the stations waiting area motionless. They finally meet and they share their first kiss. Takaki realizes that he will never see Akari again but they promise to continue writing to each other. While Takaki regrets he lost the letter for Akari, she on the other hand has a letter addressed for Takaki but she never give it to him.

Episode 2: Cosmonaut

This story involves Takaki and Kanae. Takaki is now in the third year of senior high in Tanegashima. Takaki’s classmate Kanae fell in love with Takaki, the day she first met him in middle school. Kanae wants to confess to Takaki but she never had the courage to do it. That’s why she looks for ways on how to spend time with him. She waited for him after school since she wants to travel with him together.

She passes by the gym where Takaki was practicing archery. But the sad thing was Takaki is unaware of Kanae’s feelings and treated her as a very good friend. One day when walking together back home, Kanae wanted to confess but she never said a word, she just cried. She realized that Takaki will never look at her the way she wants to and she observes that he is staring off into the distance, writing emails to someone, thinking something far beyond. Although it hurts a lot but she has no choice, but to keep the feelings to herself. That night she cried so hard until she had fallen asleep.

Episode 3: Byōsoku 5 Centimeter

Takaki is now a computer programmer in Tokyo while Akari was preparing to get married with someone. Takaki still thought for Akari to the point where he wants to breakdown and quit his job. Both still recalling the past and hopes for the day that they might be able to watch the cherry blossom together again. One day while Takaki walks down the street, Takaki and Akari appears to pass each other at the train crossing. At the opposite sides of the track, they both stop and begin to look back but the train passes by and cut their views. Takaki waits for the train to pass but he sees that the woman was gone already. After that he smiles and continue walking.

I was actually like kinda relate to the love story of the movie that's why I decided to post this one. They have this long distance relationship, since they were kids they have that romantic feelings towards each other and the feeling is really mutual. As they say, long distance relationships aren't for everybody. In a long distance relationship there are of course lonely times, heartaches, tears and missing that someone so much syndrome.

Keeping that relationship alive is really HARD. That's why this movie is a beautiful disaster. I believe it's beautiful cause it has the most superb animation scenes, you'll know if you have the chance to watch this. I was really in awe. The best scenes ever. It was disaster since it's not a happy ending. The relationship ends in failure. It shows that in time, one can move on and be happy.

Although it's not a happy ending I still recommend this movie, the animation is worth it. While watching this movie I felt like dreaming, the perfect environment scenes, the sunset and the stars absolutely amazing.
