I know I haven't written anything for awhile, I'm not sure why I excuse myself on writing book reviews. I had read plenty of fantastic books and haven't gotten a chance to write a review. I spent my time reading so much that I slept around 1AM-2AM, it's kinda unhealthy though. I tried to skip reading for a whole day and spent my time watching TV or napping in which I am very much successful! I tried hard not to read during bedtime but I couldn't get myself to sleep. The reason why I'm reading so much because I decided to join Goodreads.com Reading Challenge this year. I challenged myself to read at least 25 books for 2016. Genre of the books are random, I like to read interesting and mysterious plots.

Booktube bloggers help me a lot on deciding what to read. I checked book reviews on Youtube and personally I love PeruseProject reviews, she loves reading YA historical fiction books. She convinced me to read Vicious by V.E. Schwab which I am currently reading and loving it! I look forward to reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Alire Sáenz, Benjamin which is also highly recommended from her. I watched book reviews first from Katytastic and Abookutopia, these booktubers are great at what they do. Most of the books they review are YA novels. I have discovered lots of booktubers because of the two and that includes PeruseProject, polandbananasBOOKS and jessethereader. Most of the books that I'm reading now are Young Adult novels, that's mainly because of them. I enjoyed watching their reviews, it makes me want to read more. I will share on my next post the books that I had read from January until this month. See yah!

Book Review: 1984

No one can deny the novel's hold on the imaginations of whole generations, or the power of its admonitions -a power that seems to grow, not lessen, with the passage of time.

The novel is about a totalitarian society where the government monitored everyone through a telescreen. Members of the Party are conform to one ideology. They follow Big Brother who is the ruler of Oceania. The main character Winston is a member of the Party and works in Ministry of Truth. The main job of the Ministry is to record the history and alter them. Winston hates the party and discreetly rebels by writing a diary and prohibited love affair. Lots of things are forbidden. The Thought Police caught him for breaking the law and was horribly tortured physically and psychologically.

I can’t help but relate the concept of this dystopian world in our society. The reality TV show Big Brother is base on the book's concept. There is black propaganda spreading through the news industry today. They show us false information almost every single day.

I was having a hard time finishing the book. The middle part bored me and I wanted to skip some pages. But I finally found my will to finish it. When Winston was caught in the act, it sent chills down my spine and totally scared the hell out of me. The torture part of the novel is utterly disturbing. Regardless, 1984 is one of the greatest novels out there and everyone should try to read it.

Book Review: Every Day

Every Day is a story about “A“, a 16 year-old soul who wakes up every morning in a different body, living in a different life every single day. He has no definite gender, his soul moves from female to male body, without any warning. One day, he woke up in a body of a boy named Justin. He thought it would just be an ordinary day but surprisingly it wasn’t. He met Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon and was taken aback by her presence that he wants to stay longer on Justin's body. But given the circumstances of his situation, he’s unable to. It was love, the driving force in which “A” decides to find his true identity.

I find it fascinating whenever “A” wakes up from a body, access the memory and person’s personality. I like the brief story of each body he possessed, which has different personality and background. It adds an appealing element on the plot. The mystery & complexity of A's character is compelling. The love story made me feel awkward nonetheless it was okay. It makes me hard to appreciate A’s obsession towards Rhiannon, he’s so infatuated that he doesn’t even care of the daily routine of the person he currently occupying. “A” struggles for love & understanding his condition.

The intriguing synopsis and premise got me hooked from start to finish. David Levithan’s writing style is great, simple yet poetic. There’s a lot of question in my mind left unanswered. I love the deep provoking thoughts, the complexity and uniqueness. It’s a gripping story that sticks with you after reading it.

Reading Book Series

A lot of things had happened, long days of worry and stressful months. I need a break! Its been really hard meditating lately and the troubles in my mind urged me to look for a sanctuary. I've found my refuge through reading. The best way to break-up with the blues is to read. Been back to serious reading and had managed to finish three books series.

The Hunger Games Novel Series

I love this series so much. I'm torn between Divergent and this one but definitely Hunger Games is my number one favorite. Katniss is a bad-ass heroine, I love her! The best book for me on this series is Catching Fire.

The Selection Series

Recommended by a friend and it made me really curious. The series is like the reality show The Bachelor but he's not just an ordinary guy, he is a Prince. Prince Maxon is looking for a wife and the only way is through Selection. This novel series is consists of five books. But for me, it ended on The One, which is the third book. I like the series since it was really entertaining but there are parts where I hate America (main protagonist).

If I Stay Series

A heartwarming & heartbreaking story. This series is all about love, tragedy, heartbreak and forgiveness. It is beautifully written. There's one quote that I love on the series "Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you."

UPDATE:25 Things to do before my 25th Birthday!

As you know, I've celebrated my 25th birthday last June (I'm still on my youth years, YAY! holding on). We have a team outing (sponsored) and traveled to Camiguin. I had a great time on our team outing despite the depressing thought that I had a period during the whole trip (what a KJ)! Anyway, it was a happy one cause my bananey was there (｡♥‿♥｡). Below is an update to my to do lists before my 25th Birthday.

Summer GetAway: Surigao Del Sur

I've been wanting to travel and visit Surigao since last year. I have posted somewhere here on my blog that I should travel there before my 25th birthday. Why Surigao? I have a cousin from Butuan who went to Enchanted River and I couldn't help but admire its beauty. The travel was supposed to be by June with my cousin however she's pregnant and not permitted to travel. CDO Travel and Tours have a cheap promo for the summer. I told my friends at work after I found out about the promo and they love it.

The travel & tours have our itinerary ready and it was a 3 days-2 nights trip. A friend from work arranged it with the tour company. The travel time is around 2AM in the morning. Two Grandia vans will take us to Surigao. I'm extremely happy that my boyfriend is with me on this travel. I wanted to travel with him since he's not around most of the time. It was a long ride but I don't mind since I just sleep the whole time, that's what I do best. I minimize drinking a lot of water during the travel as well since my bladder can't contain the water that longer. We have a quick stop at Jollibee Butuan to have breakfast. A few minutes away from our accommodation, the tour guide suggested that we should take a look at the new tourist spot in Lianga, Surigao. Since, we are a bit early for the check-in time, we've all decided to have a look. The tour guide explains that this new tourist spot is called Pocto Cave. The Pocto Cave is not yet ready for tourists. From the highway, you have to walk through the wilderness.

When my boyfriend and I finally entered the cave, I was tense. I felt uneasy, I clinged to my boyfriend the whole time we're inside. The place is spooky, we have questions that can't be answered by the locals, I dunno, I just remembered the movie The Descent the whole time I'm in there. When we got outside, our companions bought some coconuts, thank heavens! I'm quite thirsty and hungry that time so it was a life a saver.

After the tiring adventure at Pocto, we arrived safe and sound at Mac Arthurs Place, Britania, Surigao.

I know it's been an awfully long time I've posted something on my blog. I haven't got time to write a worthy post. I've been trying to juggle my time with work, love-life & some personal stuffs. I'm so happy and excited that the love of my life is finally home!!! I truly missed him so much that I wanted to see him every single day. I wanted to make sure that we spend quality time together before he goes back to work again. I love it when he's around. I just can't describe the overwhelming happiness when I'm with him. I'm soooo cheesy LOL! Anyway, since it's summer here in my country, I have arranged a summer getaway with my boyfie. I will be out of town again! Last April, I went to Camiguin Island with my family during the Easter week holiday, maybe I'll post something about it. I will update my blog soon with my summer getaway adventures. I'll be right back so stay tuned!

Paulo Coelho: The Alchemist

The book started about a dream of a boy named Santiago. He is contented with his life as an Andalusian shepherd in Spain until one day he has a recurring dream about finding a hidden treasure in the Pyramids. His curiosity urges him to seek someone to interpret this dream. He found a Gypsy who told him that dreams are prophecies that he must act and follow it. However, Santiago is happy being a shepherd and seeking treasure is not his cup of tea. Santiago meets a man named Melchizedek the King of Salem, who talks to him about Personal Legends and omen. Santiago was surprised that the King is able to read what’s on his mind. He told Santiago to pursue his Personal Legend and gives him two stones, Urim and Thummim which can interpret omens. Overwhelmed, Santiago decided to sell his flock and purchase a ticket to Tangier in Northern Africa.

He arrives in Africa but the odds are not on his favor when a thief steals all his money. He was devastated but with the help of stones that can interpret omens he decided to move on and look for ways to earn money so that he can return home. Santiago finds a work in a crystal shop. The shop owned by the merchant ventures a huge financial success. Santiago earns plenty of money to buy a flock of sheep and return home. The crystal merchant’s desire is to go to Mecca however decided not to pursue it. Santiago realizes that he can always go back to being a shepherd but he will not always be able to visit the Pyramids. He decided to move forward to fulfill his Personal Legend.

Santiago joins a caravan traveling to Egypt and meets an Englishman who wants to learn the secret of alchemy from a famous alchemist. He befriended the Englishman and learns about alchemy through his books. While traveling, Santiago learns the Soul of the World. They arrived in an oasis where he meets an Arab girl named Fatima and falls in love with her. The caravan leader told the travelers that the tribal war prevents them from continuing their journey. Santiago wanders through the oasis; he instantly recognized an omen and saw a vision of armies entering the oasis. He hurriedly told the tribal chieftain about his vision and they prepared for the invasion. Afterwards, Santiago confronted by the Alchemist and offers him to cross the desert going to the Pyramid with his aid.

They travel through the desert even in the midst of war. Santiago and the alchemist were captured by the tribal for three days then continued their journey. They arrived in a monastery and the Alchemist told Santiago to continue his journey without his support. Santiago travels alone and finally reaches the Pyramid. He falls to his knees and weeps. He doesn’t know where and how to look for the treasure. He found a beetle where his tears fell. He knows that it’s an omen and starts digging through the sand. While Santiago is digging, a group of thieves notice him. They searched Santiago and found a gold that the Alchemist gave him. The thieves assume that he buried more gold in the sand and told Santiago to keep on digging. Sadly, Santiago doesn’t find any treasure and the thieves beat him up badly. One of the thief told Santiago about his recurring dream about a treasure hidden under a Sycamore tree in Spain. But the thief is not stupid enough to cross an entire desert just because of a dream. Santiago pulls himself together and starts laughing. He knows where the hidden treasure is.

The book speaks about following your dreams as well as the obstacle you will face in your journey towards it. If you're fully committed on following your dream, you will be severely tested first. It will be a rocky ride before you get there. Sometimes when everything goes haywire, you give up easily. You go back to the comfortable life you always knew and leave everything behind when in fact you're so close to reaching it. Those tests are only lessons that you will master when you move forward to what your heart desires. That's why those who passed the tests are greatly rewarded.

I've read and heard a lot of successful stories and most of them go through hardships. I truly admired these people who fully understand the price of following your dreams. This book has open my eyes to finally act on my dream that I've been putting off for awhile now. I realized what my dream was but I've been through times when I doubt myself just like Santiago in the book. I succumbed to my own fears. I will make this book as my guide and offer to God everything that I will do. I believe that whatever your heart desires, it speaks to you in your dreams. A life changing book that I’ll surely read over and over again.

Building an Emergency Fund

I’ve started investing already and one thing that I forgot is to save my own emergency fund. I know it should be first on my lists! I’ve heard how essential it is to have one. Emergency fund should be a very liquid amount where you can pull out anytime in case of emergencies (of course from the word itself). It is an unexpected event that may require immediate consideration. Examples for emergency situations are: Medical Emergency, Job loss and Property loss.

The Buffer fund (that’s what I call it) should amount to 3-6 months worth of your total monthly expenses. Why expenses? Your Income and Savings may stop but sadly not the expenses. Let’s say if you get sick, you need to go to the hospital, your income will stop and we all know that no work - no pay, right? Also, in case you lost your job and you may have to maintain your current lifestyle. What if, at that point in time you’re still paying a debt? That’s a huge financial loss! This fund should be separated to your savings account.

How to start building your emergency fund? You should allocate a percentage of your monthly income for this one. Moreover, it depends on the amount of your total monthly expenses. Let’s say if you have PHP 5000 worth of monthly expenses, you have to save around PHP 15000 for your emergency fund. That’s 3 months worth of it. After hearing about 52 Weeks Money Challenge from Kuripot Pinay, I got this idea that I will align my emergency fund goal to this challenge. Personally, it’s a good start especially if you don’t have any idea how much percentage you should allocate on your income.

Where do you place your emergency fund? The money should be readily accessible. You may place it on a savings account with an ATM so that you can withdraw it immediately. Sometimes when we have readily accessible money especially with an ATM, you will without a doubt tempt to use it. You must have a strong will-power to resist temptations! Your attitude on handling money is imperative. Sale on the Mall is not an emergency! If you must, leave your ATM card on your house before it’s too late.

The Golden Rule: You should never ever touch your Emergency fund. You should only use it in case of urgent situations.

Having an emergency fund is really important. We’ll never know what will happen, so planning ahead is always better.

Happiness

What is Happiness? According to Wikipedia, Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. People from various backgrounds and cultures have different definitions of it. I believe there is more to it than just a mental or emotional state, I can't even describe it completely.

While reading the book Eat, Pray, Love by Liz Gilbert (totally savoring each chapters of the book!), she describes it as a consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, and insist upon it.

I totally believe it's true, when you find that happiness you've been looking for throughout your life, you'll do anything to keep it. Happiness can mean many different things to others. We all have our own perspective to what it should be. Everyone desires happiness.

As for me, I know that happiness is within reach, you just have to open your eyes to everyday blessings, you just have to be grateful for everything that you have and will come. Look within yourself what makes you happy and contented. God Bless.

Year Review: 2014

Time flew by like a blink of an eye. I should have posted this last week but I keep on procrastinating HAHA! Nothing has changed. I've been a busy bee lately so don't judge LOL

10 Great Things happened

1. Chanly reached 4! My longest relationship ever LOL. I look forward to more years with him.

2. The team had its ups and downs last year but we've conquered the challenges with a brave & positive outlook. For the first time in forever, the client is unbelievably generous this year, not to mention the incentives and bonuses. We had two out of town outings. The one was in Dahilayan where we stayed for 2 days and 1 night. The other one was in Dapitan City.

3. I joined NCIP & God had showed me my passion for helping people. It was the most humbling and amazing experience this year.

4. Started to work & invest on my future. It takes a loooooooooooooooooot (don't count the o's) of work, courage, commitment & dedication. It's not easy! I know I'm capable of so much more. I believe that in the most uncomfortable state of my life, something great will happen.

5. I am an insurance agent! I wanted to join seminars & training about investment vehicles. I've watched a lot of finance videos already and having an insurance while investing is really important. I realized, I don't want to enter something that I'm not sure of, that's why I've invested my time and money here to gain more knowledge. It's a big risk that I've taken this year & it has ample responsibility connected to it.

6. I've had hit 56kg to my weight, the lowest ever this year. But because of the long holiday, I think I'm back to 60kg LOL.

7. Bananey is now working! I miss him, every single day while he's onboard and even when he's in Manila.

8. I've received a generous amount of money from our client.

9. My prayers & wishes came true this year!!Thank you Father God! I am forever grateful to your grace and goodness.

10. I have 2 good looking nephews already! My eldest sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy last September. Our little bundle of joy is so charming.

10 Things I learned

1. Never stop learning and growing. Invest on things that will help you achieve your goals in life.

2. Don't be afraid to fail. If you never fail, you'll never grow. Learn from them, move on and work harder. Challenge yourself!

3. Get out on your comfort zone!

4. Invest while you're still young. Build your empire now. Time waits for no one.

5. Meditate.

6. I learned to be more understanding and patient with people.

7. To be grateful every single day. I've started to write daily gratitude.

8. Changing the way I see every challenges I've faced, how to approach it positively & control my emotions.

9. Never tolerate small minded and negative people. I try to distance myself with toxic people and I can identify one.

10. Never be too judgmental. There's always two sides to every story.

Great people in my life

1. Papa - I'm amazed that my father is supporting me right now with my goals in life.

2. Boyfriend - This person believes in everything that I do. He supports and encourage me to do well. He would always tell that he got my back.

Hey sunbeams!

We had a meeting yesterday and a friend noticed that I look pale. I tried to put on a lipstick, I hurriedly applied one but since I don’t like the way it looks on me, I decided not to apply anymore. I have this idea that maybe I look pale because I don’t get enough sunshine. They say that you need to get a little exposure of sunlight; it’s good for the health. I’ve been sleeping late & waking up late too. Last night, I decided to sleep early (I did, slept around 12AM LOL) & should wake up early to get some vitamin D. I woke up early today, hurray! Actually, I woke up because of the noises I heard. Omo, my family is really noisy early in the morning! I heard familiar voices in our living room, I realized that my aunt & uncle arrived early from Bohol (I’m not sure what their business here in CDO, maybe they have important event to attend to). I woke up around 6AM, I jumped on my bed cause I have to get some sunshine!

To my surprise the weather is gloomy, and then my aunt says there’s a low pressure, wrong timing eh? I didn’t even know there’s a low pressure; I don’t like watching news (too much negativity there), that’s why I can’t keep up with the latest updates, especially the weather. This weather is an epitome of appreciating little things, we miss the sunbeams when it rains & vice versa. Ooh, this kind of weather makes me a lazy.

10 Movie Soundtracks

Here are some soundtracks that I love from movies. Yes, I pay attention to soundtracks, and there are other pretty songs out there too, but I just like these songs so much.

Once in my Life (Stevie Wonder), Shrek 4 - I heard this one in an ending song from Shrek 4 movie. At first, I kinda like it cause it was upbeat, catchy & you can tell by the melody that it was a classic song, I didn't know who the artist at that time. But the more I listened to it, the lyric & meaning of the song is beautiful, makes you warm all over. The song is about finding that special person you've been looking & dreaming for your whole life. A person who gives you bundle of happiness & joy. I love it to be my wedding song.

Little Wonders (Rob Thomas), Meet the Robinsons - A song that tells you to move on. Everything that you've deal with the past or decisions made are over and gone. You have to live by the present moment. Our lives are made by small hours and little wonders.

Iris (Goo Goo Dolls), City of Angels - This song is so popular during my high school years that makes me annoyed how people like the song so much. I didn't even like the song back then since I cannot understand the meaning behind it. During my college years, a friend told me that it was a soundtrack of the movie City of Angels. I haven't seen the movie yet but that friend recommended me to watch it. After watching the movie which is so tragic by the way, I clearly understand the meaning then started to like the song. The song was about the perspective of Nicolas Cage's character in the movie. Cage was an angel; they help those humans who died transition to the afterlife. Unexpectedly, he falls to a human which is played by Meg Ryan. He was torn to choose between his love for Meg, or give up his immortality. It's a heavy decision though but he's willing to give up everything for Meg, sweet.

Somewhere only we know (Keane), He’s just not that Into You - I like the movie cause Drew was there, I love her! I like the song because of the melody. At first, I thought it was kinda sad song, since I heard this line "this could be the end of everything." For me, the song is about a secret place whom you shared with a special someone, where you've had a lot of happy memories with that person. How you would wish those happy memories would somehow be back to the way it used to be. You'll find strength as you remember those moments.

500 miles (The Proclaimers), Bridesmaids - Bridesmaids is one of my fave comedy movie ever!! But I love the song 500 miles more. The song is about a man being devoted to a woman, who would do anything just to spend the rest of his life with her. I love the meaning of that song, I even tried to make my man sing it for me LOL but he doesn't know the lyrics though haha! You will fall for this song, who wouldn't?

At the Beginning (Richard Marx and Donna Lewis), Anastasia - I know I've seen this movie but I just couldn't remember seeing it on DVD, will watch it again, if I have time. The song is really popular back then. I remembered one of my office-mate played the song & I like how the message of the song would reach your heart. The song is about finding your one true love.

You got me (Colbie Caillat), Leap Year - I love this movie so much. Amy Adams is really adorable here and the guy is a real cutie. Ireland is one of those places I want to visit, magical and serene place. The song you got me was played at the end of the movie, where the guy proposed to Amy. The scene is super romantic & the view is stunning!!! The song is about a guy whose in-love with a girl, does everything to make her happy. The girl on the other hand can’t resist and can't get enough of the guy. The girl is looking forward to seeing him. Imagining life without him would be dull, crazy right? It's the best feeling you can't ignore, though.

When you say nothing at all (Ronan Keating), Notting Hill - The song is like the proverb "action speaks louder than words", even if you don't say anything at all, everything reflects on your actions, you can't hide it from your special someone.

Grow Old with You (Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore), The Wedding Singer - This is the most mainstream song ever, I've heard a lot of covers of this on YouTube. Who wouldn't love the song? You would do anything for the person you love, even if you can’t watch your favorite TV Show (WHAT?!). You can watch at Netflix.

Way Back into Love (Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore), Music & Lyrics - The song is about moving on from a past relationship. Lonely and blue cause you’re still trap from the ghost of your past. Hopeful that you will find your way back into love but of course time can only tell.

Bookshelf Inspiration

Hooray for the month of October! How time flies and I love it! I'm looking forward to 2015 actually. I was browsing through tumblr and found these bookshelf photos which make me come up with this post. I love books so much that I hoard a lot. They say when you read a lot of books, you tend to have good writing skills. A tip which I read over a thousand times on the internet. Sadly, it doesn't have an effect on me. As much as I dream of, I don't have that skill. I love reading and writing too, but my writing is not improving at all. I wish grammar police would visit my blog often so that I can collect more tips from them. I read grammar sites every now and then but forgot most of the grammar rules. Too many rules to consider and you don't even know yourself you're doing it right. I get lost a lot of times. I will do better and just continue writing even though I'm bad at grammar.

Bedroom Inspirations

I've always wanted a room of my own. It gives me the privacy and comfort I need on a daily basis since I'm working at home. Unfortunately, our home is limited of space. There are 8 people living in our cute house and we only have two bedrooms. Our kitchen and living room are connected, we have one bathroom which is inside the master's bedroom. Anyway, one thing that I wish is having my own room, a private and cozy space where I can run to when I wanted to hide away from the world. A room where I can run my imagination freely. 1. I’m inconsistent – When you want to achieve something you have to be consistent every single day, but I am not doing it now. I need more PDT, prayer and wisdom.

2. I have weight plateau. I’m convinced that I have lost some inches on my thigh area and my tummy looks better than before. *insert song Happy*

3. Exercise Routine: M.W.F – Jog at Gaston Park with sis Jai and Ms. Chen. Back to Cardio, I was thinking to schedule it T.TH.S.

4. I can’t pretend that I’m okay, if I went out of the Book Sale without buying one book.

5. I want to buy The Happiness Project book of Gretchen Rubin. I can’t find one in National Bookstore.

6. Know the Types of procrastination and how you can fix them. 7. Finally, I’ve received and enrolled my BPI More Fun Card. I can deposit and pay online hassle free.

8. I love reading Daily Guideposts 2014. I’m still in January; I have to read at least 10-20 pages a day.

9. I should finish reading Eat, Pray, Love. It has been sitting on my desk for months now. I tried to read 4-5 pages though. I admire her (E. Gilbert) writing skills so much.

10. We have another Team Outing this year! Yay! This year is amazing and full of sweet surprises.

11. Remember: Delaying Gratification – one of the most valuable traits of successful people.

12. I’m learning to apply make-up on my eye brows. I tried to apply eyeliner but I’m such a mess.

13. I’m obsessed with image editing applications. Cymera app is love. I will install VSCO if I have my iphone real soon.

14. Slowly watching 250 Top Movies of all time. I’m happy that Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away is on the list.

Dreams and Realizations

I think there will come a period in your life where you'll ask yourself, what do I want to do with my life? what are my dreams? what will be my future? what is my passion? I have no idea what to do next, afraid that I'll make wrong decisions and scared of the unknown. I never imagine myself going out of my comfort zone. I guess, this is what they called a quarter life crises. I would tell myself back then that I should never worry or think about the future. I was hopeful that the stars will reach out to me real soon. Life isn't a race though so I'll just take my time and enjoy every moment while I'm still at it. But, I have asked God for a sign.

Something great happened to me last month (July). This is the main reason why I haven't posted anything on my blog. I was really busy but not because of my work. I was busy working on my dreams and my mission. I mentioned up there that I've asked God for a sign, I guess, I was desperate back then. I want to know fast where I'm headed. I just want to know what's my mission in life. I wasn't expecting that He would gave me what I am asking. I knew that day what He wants me to be. I just smiled and thanked Him. I felt like I wanna hug someone because my emotions are overwhelming. I just told someone about it, I can't contain it to myself or else I'll go mad. I never told my boyfriend about this haha! Maybe, I just forgot that I already told him. Anyway, I'm busy right now working on it. It is really happening! I'm so amazed! I don't have to doubt myself anymore. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Father God for this wonderful life and for giving me this chance to work on my dreams. I know I can fulfill my mission as long as you'll always there to direct and guide me every step of the way. I love you, I love you, I love you!!!!! I am happy and more grateful of my life right now. I know the reason why I love this song so much.

going to the Horror House!

This is a photo post for now. I love everything about theme parks. I love the rides and people are just happy. I had so much fun here, my exhaustion was gone and I'm just excited to try the rides. We've entered the Horror House first, It wasn't really scary at all but it was my first time, so I get along with others shouting as if they're scared haha! It was the most memorable ever! The Horror House is the best for me. We've tried also the Bumper Car, I'm such a noob. My brother would always bump me and my mom, she's really enjoying it. I did not enjoy since I cannot operate the car well. Poor me. It is not everyday that I got the chance to have fun and travel. I can't complain. I am very grateful and bless for these experiences and I will treasure these memories forever.

I’m so glad I got the chance to travel again but this time with my parents and youngest brother. Every year the company where my Papa works has their summer affair. My Papa and his friends decided to spend the summer in Dapitan City. It was a two days and one night stay in Dakak Beach Resort. It was a very long journey; I just slept through the whole ride since my body is pretty tired with the 2 hrs waiting for the bus and my bag is really heavy! I should have known better, Filipino time is always LATE. Anyway, I did not enjoy the 9 hours trip; it was my first time to travel that long and I didn’t sleep well. When we arrived in Dapitan, the people are excited to take pictures on the City’s Landmarks. We have a tour guide as well in the bus.

Dapitan City is our National Hero’s place, Jose Rizal. He lived there and stayed on that place. Dapitan City is a non commercial place. You can’t find Jollibee or Mcdo and other fast-food chains like CDO have. It’s a great city with pretty view and very peaceful. The tour guide was really busy throwing trivia and information about Dapitan City. I really can’t process all of the information since I was busy looking outside my window. We had the chance to take photos of the Landmarks we’ve went and everyone was thrilled. At first, I wasn’t very interested to take photos since I’m still exhausted. However, I pulled myself up and took photos of Dapitan’s old church and Rizal Shrine.

List of Books to Finish

I was really distracted these days that I don't even finish what I've started. Talking about being a Gemini,eh? I've downloaded a lot of pdf books but I keep on ignoring them, as well as my paperback books. When will I start reading all of them? I have 2 classic books pending: Bronte and Austen, and I just give up reading Pride and Prejudice. I started listening to the audio book but I dozed off everytime I tried. I have no patience when it comes to audio books, my imagination is poor compared to reading it and seeing the words, it has more effect on me. Anyway, below are the books I have to finish.

Eat, Pray, Love: Elizabeth Gilbert - I'm enjoying every chapter of Elizabeth's journey and I don't want to end it right away. You can see a lot of progress on her character in this journey, she's bold and I like it so much for being her. I love to check her development on finding enlightenment and love.

Rich Dad Poor Dad: Robert Kiyosaki - I realized I haven't finish reading this one.

The Help: Kathryn Stockett - I started reading the pdf book since I was really curious after watching the movie version. The movie moved me a lot. I was surprised of the dialect of the book (it was the same as the colored people used to speak in the movie). Imagining I'm watching the movie through the book. I know this book is good despite the vernacular issue. I'm still looking forward to know the characters more.

Bared to You and Entwined with You:Sylvia Day - The Crossfire Series. I started reading the two books in pdf but I skipped a lot of pages. It was boring sometimes, too many detailed scenes. I started reading this one out of curiosity. The guy is hot and really sweet but nothing compares to Christian Grey *hahahahaha*

8th week: weight loss challenge

Our weight loss challenge ended last April 19 and I can't believe I survived! Yay!! I should give myself credits for working hard. I didn't expect to lose a lot of weight during this challenge. I've started at 62 kgs and my final weight after the 8 weeks challenge is 58 kgs. I have lost a total of 4 kgs during the process. You can check my IG account to view my before and after photo. I had some rough weeks but the challenge made me changed a lot of my bad habits. There are a lot of times when I just want to nap during my break (I just love napping so much that it takes me an hour napping haha! I know, it’s not a nap already) but I opted to exercise. I woke up early to jog even though I slept late the other night. I was really highly motivated to be active whenever possible. Amazingly, I've been drinking more water a day (2-3 ltrs). I've been taking my bfast smoothie every single day without a missed and I've been practicing to eat slowly. I have a food diary to keep track of my progress and I read nutritional labels religiously. I'm making right choices when it comes to food. I'm making myself a priority now, taking charge in controlling my weight, my destiny and I'm making sure that I enjoy my journey no matter how hard it is at times. I will never stop until I achieve my ideal weight. I know this is only just the beginning to change my outlook in life, habits and to stay focus on my goals. I really have to believe in myself, put my mind into it and be positive no matter the setbacks.

We celebrated our wlc graduation at Pryce Plaza Hotel. I had fun time with good and happy people. It’s nice to be around cheerful people. I’m so happy that my contender Eva won the challenge! She’s really doing a great job, hands down to her.

7th week: weight loss challenge

My update is super late since our weight loss challenge ended last week. Anyhow, I can still clearly remembered our 7th weigh-in. Are you familiar with the 5 stages of grief? The stages where you got into a break-up or loss of a loved one? These are: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. I got this one while watching the RomCom K-Drama "My Love from Another Star" (haha!). Well, it was somehow relevant to this post. My point here is, I am depressed! I have gained .8 to my previous weight! waaaaaaaa. I've seen it coming though. I was totally reckless and I know it was totally my fault, my FAULT *cries* . The thought of gaining a little weight is so depressing to me. I should be thankful that it was just .8, right? I should do better next time. Fighting!Fighting!Fighting!Fighting! Never ever give up!!!
