Diary 130: A Saturday in East Dulwich

At least so far:)! It's only 3pm.

I dressed up a little bit today, to feel better I think.....I have a new favorite sweater:) It's from Top Shop and it's striped Candy Pink (1&2). Love it. Beneath it I am wearing a Catherine Malandrino candy blue striped blouse. The skirt is of French descent and shopped out of a tiny boutique many years ago on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. In image 2, one can see my house across our lovely little park. Off I went to "town" haha. First stop as it is most Saturdays, the candy store (4-6) Hope & Greenwood. Love Love the candy here. Then my love Franklins, which farm shop (7) is full of beauty. Every Saturday in Dulwich there is too a market (8-10)full of antiques and home made food......I go every week. I found a new book store here in Dulwich today, Rye Books (11-13). Very carefully sourced books, I found such inspirations today and I was soooo tempted to buy buy buy. And now I am here:)! At East Dulwich Tavern (14&15). See me?:)!

Diary 129: A Month of London, Stockholm and Uddevalla; Such Inspirations & Loveliness

Late December I went home to Sweden. First to Stockholm and then to my home town Uddevalla for Christmas:). In Stockholm I went around Djurgarden each morning (images 1&2, the view from coming back having walked around this tiny "island"), I too visited the lovely Skansen one of my days there:) (3&4)! The 2 images of me is at Hotel Karlaplan (5&6) where I stayed. Then off home it was, my home town is surrounded by the ocean (7&8). Stunning and full of my dears. Some January outfits of me (9&10). I met with the Lovely Jessie Lily Adams a few times, my fave time was when she took me to The Breakfast Club (11)by Spitafields. Such a lovely meeting. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a fave place of mine from now on, I went twice in January actually. The food I had at their Juliet's (13)was SO GOOD. See my posts about Tunbridge here and here. In London I too went to the V&A (the cafe, image 14) a few times haha. On my way it looks like this in image 13. This past Wednesday, the lovely shoot with Jessie Lily Adams (15&16)took place in my garden. Mrs Haaaaaaaavisham BEAUTY it is haha. Yes still adoringly obsessed by this lady and film (17&18)!

Haute Couture Spring 2012.

The Edwardian collars with the organza chiffon bows:)! Hallelujah. J'Adore. The sweet silhouettes with fuller sleeves together with "mannish" cuts = Perfection. Too the scale of color as always my love; whites & nudes with pastels for spring.

Valentino just don't Ever do anything wrong nowadays. So Happy for this house.

I am dearly dearly tired. Mom!

Prepping for my Mrs Havisham shoot that me and adorable Jessie Lily Adams are creating on Wednesday....She's a love I can Not wait to work with for the first time.

I am too now starting to prepp for another lovely shoot for Crash magazine....."Trailor Trash Glam" hahaha. You'll soon to understand the concept.

My Coquette Journal is almost finished:)! So Happy! But so much work. So Much.

I picked up my 1940's wedding gown today and afterwards i treated myself to sit at The Breakfast Club by Spitafields Market. So here we go, me with the Little Pony's again. Today's is Top Shop Top Shop.

Can't wait for dinner Thursday night with the Butler sisters:)! Thank you Lucy.

YES I know, roots needs to be done hahaha. Spear me.

Diary 127: A Weekend

I've had a beautiful Friday - Sunday:)! So grateful for it all. I did go to the cafe of the V&A, it's such a stunning place (1). If you happen to come to London, go here. As I am sure you know, this week I started to prepp for mine and Jessie's shoot, image 2 is a tiny preview of the clothes. I looked for vintage finds on/ off Brick Lane, these 2 photos are from a store called Absolute Vintage (3&4). Then there's a me haha (5). At the Breakfast Club. Obsessed by their My Little Pony "powder rooms":). I met with some lovely sisters at Maison Bertaux (6&7). No I did not have that cake.....! Yesterday, Saturday I went to a photography meet up (8). I learned so much and I am so happy that I went. I will from now on only shoot manually and play with the white balance. I did go to this pub (9) afterwards which is in Dulwich Village. And then there is Nunhead Cemetery (10-15), Obsession Galore!!! Very close to my house so I've been here a millions of times. These images are from this morning.

I am happy. And hope you are too.

About Two Girls, A Lovely Place and Some Jewelry

I met with 2 dears yesterday at Maison Bertaux:)! Sisters they are, a Sophie and Lucy Butler. We are to collaborate! They are starting a magazine, Magnify which a lovely Ruth is the EIC of. Can't wait for this one.

Fell in love with a necklace Sophie was wearing, it turns out she had created it herself....her creations are called Malaya, her website is HERE. Fell in love with her hair too:)! I have to ask who's the hairdresser next time we meet haha, since I am in dear need of help on that front. x alice

Diary 126: The Bride

This obsession with the bride has been going on for quite some time.

A few years ago I created The Runway Bride together with photographer Lena Modigh for a magazine called Dealer de Luxe, we pretended it was Dame Elizabeth Taylor who ran away....I mean she did get divorced 8 times. Eight divorces equaled eight pages:) See the story HERE.

For this story I bought my first wedding dress! A lace 1950's one that sort of reminds me of Grace kelly's dress. The images here shows it off:) One can actually think that I am getting married, that's how happy I look I think. Mind you I did not (still don't) even have a boyfriend.

Wedding dress 2 ended up in my closet the other day....! This time a 1940's one. Because of my shoot with Jessie.

I wonder if I end up with 8 wedding dresses and zero weddings?

Diary 125: Prepp Day 1

Prepping has started. Full on. ohlalala!! The day started early early at Green & Blue in East Dulwich. Off to Shoreditch and The Albion (1&2) for some rest and their tasty Soy latte, before wonders at Beyond Retro (4-8)! Bridal it is. See me before I start? Then after? How Glamorous right? haha!!! The Breakfast Club (10-12) was my next stop (packed with clothes...as you can see. see my table?), they have a lovely wifi so computer work it was.
Almost done for today now so soon home to cook dinner and to watch a movie or Swedish television...we'll see.

I nearly fell of my chair while watching this show a few months ago. It's my favorite collection for all of Spring 2012.

White Drama. The Bride as a Corpse. The Bride as innocent as can be. Hiding!

Birth, Marriage, Death, Transcendence. That's all.

This Spring 2012 Collection of Comme des Garcons makes me so happy about being in this industry called fashion.

It would have been perfect for mine and Jessie's shoot for Odalisque but the whole collection is in Japan for an exhibition. Anyone have any news in regards to the exhibition? I'd love to hear about it.

Diary 124: Another Day in Royal Tunbridge Wells for Work and Inspiration

This was yesterday:)!

The day started in Dulwich Woods (1). Then off it was to London Bridge to take the train to Royal Tunbridge Wells. I started my day there at Juliets which is a Lovely little cafe (2-6). I had the Best Soup Ever. After this I walked around the beauty......Such Lovely surroundings (7-11).....I did discover a church (10&11), or so I thought haha because it was actually a cafe, pub and arts center.... before going to the towns museum (12-15)hich at the moment features Lord Snowdon's portraits for Vogue back in the day, "In Camera: Snowdon and the World of British Art". Yes I did go to see the dolls agin. Lastly I went to have a glass of wine at the Wonderful Royal Opera House (16&17) which is actually a pub:)
