Alice in Wonderland

hi lovely you!

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Sun, 04 Oct 2020 13:05:00 +0000

it has been a while, the whole summer just passed by and i just have not had the energy to create one single post here. i am sure many of you feel exhausted by all this happening at the moment!?

what does it all mean!?

how will we survive? how will i survive? how will our planet survive?

how can i help?

what about equality for all?

how about remembering that what i do to you i do to myself?

and what i do to myself i also do to you.

how can we all help change each other to better ourselves

and by this help us all & mother earth

that has been gifted to us to be part of?

ahimsa🌸

right now i am very grateful that there is no panic at the foodstore.

shops are open again as is my gym.

the tube is up and running more like it used to do.

of course we are all wearing masks,

which scared me in the beginning of this journey

with covid 19. a surreal feeling of not being really here

with all things being sooo odd.

2020 was going to be so different.

so hi

here i am

how are you?

here are a little collage i created recently of some of my summer creations

this below image was created in april soon after the lockdown happened here in the uk. for many of my daily one hour "allowance" time to be outside, i created self-portraits around here in epping.

"the angels are with us"

for a few months i devoured every moment of capturing the beauty of the blossoms

a rose

a daylily

zoom has been a big part of my life

i've taken (and is taking)

acting, art, ballet, singing & yoga classes

among others ever since april!

my art classes are taught by

the artist

joanna mccormick

when my gym opened i could finally go back to practice ballet in their

squashroom. i am starting over working on my project

"le spectre de la rose"

where a part will be me dancing a variation from a ballet.

there will be a documenting of the journey.

i created a little collage of play/ practices from september

for you to follow along if you would like.

hi!!

september 2020 me🌷

not every day was spent in comfies

see you soon🌸

A HEAVENLY FEAST FOR THE MAGIC OF OPULENCE

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Thu, 21 May 2020 13:31:00 +0000

hi lovely you!

how are you doing?

wherever you are i hope the sun is shining on your face.

and if you are in the shadows i pray for you.

today is the day when christ went back to heaven after having risen to life after death, 40 days prior. the feast of the ascension. the lockdown because of this sadness virus did include the whole of easter. an easter that symbolises

RE-BIRTH.

i hope and strive for a re-birth of me myself and for all of life. to start anew, to start practicing ahimsa for all of life. to only use what is essential, kindness to animals, animals as equals. to share resources to all of humanity and not only to a few. to see our mother earth as a gift we have received, a place we have been blessed to call our home.

to marvel of the wonder of the universe.

to marvel of all the creativity we humans were gifted. the gratefulness of this moment in time when it is easier than every to be in lockdown because of technology that we humans as birthed in to this world.

to acknowledge sadly that health is a privilege in our moment in time, it should be available for all. then all of us have the possibility to make the good choices as we were given by god for our planet and others. as of now we have created a universe where a lot of people have no idea about the "good choices" or could have the energy to do the right thing since it's a daily awful struggle of surviving.

i have so many thoughts! i try to focus on hope and the goodness of us human beings.

during this time of being by myself since march 21st 2020 i have focused on creation. to do my art. to immerse myself as much as i possibly can with all i love, all that gifts me joy and fulfilment. it has been a lot of struggles but there has too been a lot of joys. the sun and early summer heat here in england has certainly been a helper in that.

nourish the moment

to seek beauty

this is what i need for myself. many years ago when i lived in new york and worked for the new york times magazine, deeply depressed and was struggling with an ocuring eating disorder since i was 12 years old, this wise doctor told me to go out and seek beauty, to be out in nature to seek out art that i loved to forget the little me and see something bigger that ultimately would bring awe and wonder to my life. so many more layers here though (this will be to talk about at maybe another time)!

how i medicate myself is:

to seek beauty. to nourish my moments.

to feed my brain as patti smith would put it.

i am joy

i have grace

i am creation magic beauty

- alice

you know what i am dreaming of for my life?

to live in my pink house surrounded by beauty. space, peace, quiet. to grow my own food. space for dancing creating. to share beauty and to gift awe to our universe. to be that god within me that i am. to experience life to its fullest, to be immersed in joy and for others to feel and experience the same.

it's been a month since i greeted you last.

let's see what has happened here in epping.

let's have a feast of re-birth.

celebrations.

EASTER TELLS YOU THAT IT'S POSSIBLE TO BE A NEW CREATION 🌸🌸🌸

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Wed, 15 Apr 2020 13:18:00 +0000

dear friend:

how are you doing?

it has been a long time since we've met.

and i so hope you are doing ok!?

💜💜💜

for me it's time for an awakening, and to do that in the middle of a pandemic😲

it might have to do with all beauty coming to life with spring, i don't know. what i do know is that i have been through much worse becoming homeless (this is a long story having to do with mental health which i hope to dare share with you one day) the fall of 2016 and not having a home where i could be ordered to stay inside, it taught me to take one day at a time. i still have trauma over those 2 months and i felt so alone, what is different now is that i have a home AND i feel part of the whole universe since we are all going through this together. i don't have my social places like my gym and ballet classes to go to so i have been all by myself for about 3 weeks now. and i can feel the pain for others whom are alone or stuck maybe in a small space with ones partner and even children (i don't know what is best here...to be alone or to not have the change to have ones own space for a period of only word knows how long), but for me this is sort of a relief, since staying with myself is my safe space.

my thoughts is that this can be start of a new beginning💫🌸💫🌸💫

one filled with more gratefulness and one of a more loving understanding of how we are GUESTS hon planet earth and we need to treat our mother with love & respect. to treat all other co-habitants of ours with love and respect. a world of, as the yogis say, ahimsa. there is so much i could say here but for now this is enough.

we've just had the beauty of easter happening. a sacrifice for us to live an eternal life. when understanding this fundamental; it is possible to become a new creation. a fundamental i think in all various ways of defining your own truth.

"easter tells you that it's possible to be a new creation"

dr. timothy keller

(he is the head pastor of the church i went to on sundays when i lived in new york, redeemer where i attended the upper east side service and basically kept my head straight on what really is important in life. now i listen to their podcast "gospel in life" where i heard have been listening to his easter services)

i think in this moment in time we can ponder on being the cocoon becoming the butterfly, to when this is over we are to blossom and to be a new creation.

to pray for all that are suffering

but

to hold suffering and joy at the same time🌷

to say thanks for our breath to say yes to a better future.

here in epping finally the warmth of the sunshine kissed my cheeks and i was ready to go out and create. oh how dear i have missed you sunshine warmth!!!

my april 2020

epping essex perfection beauty april 2020

and how to devour the gift of it just showing up just like that.

since the spring of 2014 my focus has been on telling my story through self-portraits. in 2013 a lot of sadness was going on and in all came to a "rock bottom" the 13th of february 2104. that spring i could not plan anything with anyone since i could not promise to show up, so i started my self portraits because i could let myself down if needed be. before this i mainly shot and styled models for fashion/ culture magazines and before that i worked as a fashion associate at the new york times magazine for 6 years where my whole life actually was through the lens of beautiful clothing creations. the aspiration of such beauty designed by alexander mcqueen, marc jacobs, valentino, dior etc etc devouring photography through the lens of tim walkers imagination and other such talented wonders. such a different me. i just wanted to be the dream (or maybe i am just the same still...)

here my love for vintage started though, there were such amazing vintage shops in manhattan then:))) (for me this means around 2002-2006) so come 2014, my work was still focused on sheer beauty but too to focus on sustainability focusing on only buying vintage and as years has progressed i have become more and more aware about so many things. so since april 1st (no joke😂) 2019, i have been a vegan! for our cohabitants and for our mother earth. yoga is new in my life and i try to practice ahimsa.

this is a new path.

every day my aim is to:

seek beauty

to nourish the moment

it is so important to see the beauty in this world.

it's a way of life to prosper i believe.

this is where i concentrate my work on right now this spring of 2020.

this image might be an option to work on

my easter sunday in epping

one week earlier

the outfit for the top image

my easter sunday make up with the dress i wore for my day of editing.

wearing a vintage dress that bought here in london 2015,

a store that sadly does not exist anymore:(

a beauty in the area of spitalfields.

another outfit for my first self-portrait story created this april:)

my dear art teacher, and now my piano tutor jason rose shared this image on facebook today and oh how i wanna create this myself,

me being all the participants of "the progress of spring"🌸🌸🌸

as of now i am to create a blogpost every 3rd week of the month and on the wednesday of that week since it is the 3rd day. three is what my whole universe surrounds upon. i am sure i will have to explain a tiny bit more in regards to this but i think for now it has been too much text already😊

i wanna leave you with this:

"i feel in this time...it is a necessity to have a plan, a manifesto, an alternative. it's a question of life and death of our species...after tragedies one has to invent a new world, knit it or embroider, make it up. it's not gonna be given to you because you deserve it, it doesn't work that way, you have to imagine something that doesn't exist and dig a cave into the future and demand space. it's a territorial hope affair...in the future it will become your reality."

dear friend take care

see you next month

HELLO 2020 🌸🌸🌸🙏🙏🙏

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Sat, 11 Jan 2020 13:15:00 +0000

(update 2nd feb 2020...i am trying to figure out how to create my blogposts from now on. i am not sure of its format for 2020! in the meantime there is my instagram stories where i post daily from my normal daily life and there is my facebook page😊🌸)

hi:)))

how are you doing? how does it feel to have entered a new decade?

is this not magically exciting?!!!😊

it feels like the awareness is arising day by day, so fast. just the awareness of we us being all one. we are all mini universes living in "the universe". and/ so meaning what i do to you i do to me and vice versa. do no harm. stay kind. to come from a place of love instead of fear.

2019 was a major year for me (in comparison to myself from former years that is), i did so much better health wise. i went on a trip to france:))) after decades of being addicted to pepsi max, i ditched that and april 1st i became 100% vegan (with a couple of days in france where some chocolate happened). and the bravest thing i did was to finally go home to my little home town in sweden, uddevalla. it was sooo healing for me. i feel much more connected now with me, that is funny since i am with me all the time, that close ones can make you feel whole and like oneself, oh hallelujah such joy.

was your 2019 good and better when you compare it to your own previous years?

how i wish it was!

2020

my first big goal is to accomplish a short film late spring or summer,

which in the planning stages i call

"le spectre de la rose"

(the spirit of a rose)

it will include me dancing a little ballet scene

the planning and thinking of this has been going on for 2-3 years,

here is a little post about a possible location i had in mind then

🌸🌸🌸

a lot of my still life works has been influenced these 2 past months by this project

then i have a few other things:)

i am in the process of journaling my intentions for this new year so will elaborate in the coming blogpost in february😊

so here are few experiments

for a maybe maybe be part of my project

the feeling is right

we'll see if the actual stills will work with the short film

this image you can view in b/w in this post:)

a self-portrait taking in epping after my trip to france

i am so happy here!

funnily enough, i don't have many images to share because

i filmed almost everything and

put it up on my instagram stories!!!

i came home and started to write magic wishes

oh dear how happy i am that today is today

i will see you feb. 1st😊

hey beautiful lovelies🌸

(update from a january 7th of 2020,
from this year i am to exploring creating my monthly blogposts
on saturdays instead of tuesdays,
so i will meet you january 11th🌷)

it is december!!! 😍

it's time for all the magic of anticipation, arrival of christmas...the birth of jesus christ and all celebrations that comes with that. i am so excited since i am going home to uddevalla, sweden to be with my mom aunt and other dear ones i love and hold dear at home💜💜💜

we have experienced a whole november though:) how was yours? for me there was my birthday, i too opened up my new shop where i sell a tiny selection of my fine art prints ( soon to be a bigger selection) and i got the new magazine "kyrkobladet" by the swedish church in london; where my self portrait and poem was published (which i will share with you in this post😊).

something astounding occurred to me this morning, in about 4 weeks we have finished a whole decade. i have been so focused on entering a new decade that i forgot the one we have just devoured. ohlalala what a ride this decade has been. i say thank you!!! thank you universe/ god for all that you have taught me (so far).

my primer to devour and to nourish myself

...

that is what i am contemplating right now

the thought came from a podcast i listened to by

onbeing with john paul hederach

talking about haiku poetry🌸

(actually the beatuy of onbeing with krista tippet

is my fave podcast)

this together with the magic of walt whitman's way of life,

way of creating poetic art

mary oliver of course comes to mind!!!

my mantra fits in too:)))

"nourish the moment"

which not only rules my life but

too runs through most of my works, since 2014

so there has been a month and more since i wrote here last. the time has gone so fast! i have been focusing on improving my daily habits, daily practices of how i want my future life to be and i am to be behave in that new spectrum.

i am still in the process of re-membering

and the daily practice of re-minding myself

about exactly that:))

i did buy "a yogic path"

by sahara rose and

the first card i picked out of the whole deck

was about me to focus on my dharma,

my question was: what am i to focus on from now on?

and i picked the card of dharana💓

i have since worked with this deck a couple of more times and it is almost how scary how it directs together with my question and intuition. this is my first time ever exploring the magic of oracle cards, or maybe it's just the magic of sahara rose that i am ones again am experiencing (i own all her books which mainly is about ayurveda and how to live in accordance to this ancient wisdom/ medicine/ self care practices etc in today's truth).

here is a selfie me after having had my roots done

by the lovely lisa

mr smiths of epping

i have to say,

each time i am so happy about the result and

of her skill of her craft

never ever need to worry about the result🌸

my birthday is coming up:) november 12th

and since my dear friend sarah has gone to experience the magic of madeira

she gifted me with loads of pink perfection roses

about a week ago already

which i have played around with:)))

i too mixed the roses with a bunch of flowers

that i had previously dried and

created a few double exposures

the swedish chuch in london and its magazine just came out,

i am waiting dearly to hold the issue in my hands:)

but it can now be viewed online!

i will share my poem with you in my next blogpost december 3rd!

then i can show you the magazine itself!

emma thompson is on the cover:)

here is a screen grab from the online version:)

💜

are you there god? it's me alice.

my lovely desktop😂🌷

here is a composite image i created from a couple of shoots

one with the dear talented celine buckens and

another featuring a bee:)

(oh and here is a tiny clip from that day with her)

this dear has now become my alla helgona angel

and this fluffiness gifted me with her presence yesterday

it had been a while

one just have to kneel down and she rushed to you like nobody's business

just being perfection perfect wonderful

such joys she brings every time i get to caress her:)))

oh and it is decided:))) i am going home for christmas!!!

it has been a while.

so december 20th to 27th = uddevalla, sweden💜

seize this very minute;

what you can do, or dream

you can, begin it;

boldness has genius, power

and magic in it.

a blooming summer day dream

that is how the summer felt like

a dream to make way for new beginnings

🌸🌸🌸

is that not equally beautiful?

i mean all those hopes and wishes to transform

and

to embody being THAT girl/ woman!

such excitements that thought gives me😊

a blooming summer day

i created a self portrait in this wild flower garden when i lived in east dulwich, these wildflowers were planted in the park of dulwich village. i have sooo manipulated to make my point. but the magic of the flowers are a truth on its own😊

this period of now is of especially sadness, 3 years ago now i lived with panic. i thought i would never have a home of my own. i had no stability. i saw no future no safety. this panic inside me was every day for more than 2 months and when i finally got what i wanted i still lived with panic ofr more about 2 years. today, 3 years later, is like another world, one i am still healing in and starting to feel somewhat safe. that safety has gifted me with being able to move on a tiny bit. my talents of course never left me and my imagination helped through it all ( by pretending) but the hurt is there...to jump to conclusions of others not wanting well for me...i don't wanna dwell on this so that will have to be it.

i still feel ashamed about what happened and can't speak freely about it,

maybe because i am not healed yet. i can't say that i am in a good place.

when i can, i am sure i can be of help for others:))

fall is really happening and this comfy thing is what i wore today

a vintage butterfly dress bought from beyond retro

a jumper from an hm collection a few years back

(my goal is to not buy fast fashion at all anymore,

but still i will use what i already own...)

i am sure you do know i have been a 100% vegan since april 1st, plus being gluten free since 2015 (it completely healed me from 7 day pains each month... and i credit the book grain brain this transformation, THANKS, even though i do NOT subscribe to all of the advice here since i am a vegan).

i do have a couple of sweetness goodness days a month

which sort of will be part of my title

for a vegan gluten free goodies sweet thingies book

today i created my almond cake and it is delicious

especially with swedish glace soy ice cream

and

meridian crunchy peanutbutter

i am soon to share this recipe:)))

stay gold:)))

a reminder to myself💜

i finished the brilliant book of jane austen, pride & prejudice.

if you have not read the book

please do it is so wonderfully perfect

in the language and description of human beings!!!

(or shall i say english people to this day)

oh dear how i wanna be elizabeth bennet and her mr darcy

oh i can be SUCH a romantic😊

i still identify as a jacobsson though😊

since this is the name of so much love i have recieved)

in my next blogpost i will expand on all this and

how it has informed my work and my journey as an artist

today i finally braved myself to use my gym and its room where they have classes,

for my ballerina training containing warming up, stretching and

to practice various dance segments from lovely ballets

this is the reason i joined my gym in the first place

but have fallen in love with some of their classes

such perfection:)))

i adore adore adore this kitten

an outfit for a tea 30's style

i bought this prada dress

when i was working for the new york times magazine

and was invited to its sample sales every season

what to create with it:)))

right now my august is focusing on making my environments

super friendly for my studying, practicing and creating art

here is a blooming corner of mine:)

right next to my piano

music is being devoured

i wanna leave you with this

sow a thought and you reap an action;

sow an act and you reap a habit;

LE SPECTRE DE LA ROSE

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 09 Jul 2019 13:00:00 +0000

the spirit of a rose

is a new project of mine 🌸

(the inspiration for it is old though, i found a ballet a poem and the place

some years ago that birthed the idea for this project)

it is timely since i have a lot of roses around in my life at the moment.

in nature it's all around gifting my eyes with its beauty.

then there are a couple of wonderful human rose beings

jason rose whom is teaching me to play the piano😊

and

yesterday i did my first day voluntering for loughton's council taking ladies in their later years to go shopping, here i met this lovely lady liliane rose all of 92 years old whom has lived in loughton and the same house for about 70 years, is that not impressive? oh my word did i fall in love with her. so gentle so quirky such an inspiration for holding up grace.
how she warmed my heart.

the beauty of the rose

a location
pergola hill & garden

maybe an outfit
i bought this princesse dress about a year ago, and it's when i captured this mirror selfie
i think it would be lovely as a ballerina outfit capturing the spirit of a rose a the pergola hill & garden

the magic of the red shoes

nature roses blooming decaying in epping

a poem

open your eyelids now closed
that brush on a maidens dream;
i am the ghost of a rose
that you wore at the ball last night.
you plucked me still silvered with pearls
sprinkled like tears from the hose,
and throughout the glittering scene
paraded all night was i seen.

o you who caused my death
unable to chase it away
throughout the night, my ghost of a rose
will come to dance by your bed.
but have no fear, i shall claim
no mass nor de profundis;
this faint perfume is my soul
and from parardise do i come.

my destiny may serve for envy;
for no better death could one have
than thus to have given ones life.
for, i have your breast as my tomb
and there one the headstone where i respose
a poet has left me a kiss
and written: "here lies a rose
of which, kings are inclined to be jealous".

OH HOW THE HEAVENLY CREATURES CALLED HER...AND AT ONCE SHE HEARD THEM , SHE OBEYED FOR MAGIC TO COME THROUGH HER

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 02 Jul 2019 14:09:00 +0000

happy tuesday lovely special you!!!

it's july:)

have you thought about your intentions for this summery month?

my main focus will be on ballet for july🌸

first question of the morning will be:

how can i be the best student of this craft today?

i've found a new podcast that i love

via the almost 30

where they had the founder ayana young of

for the wild podcast

and dear had she truths to share

we need to change our ways

before our planet looses too many beautiful creatures species

like elephants and tigers

or elements like we used to have it

such horrible thought...to loose our clean water

she will loose us too if we do not change our ways.

i was so scared when listening

but in the end i felt empowered to do all that little me can do from here

i loved hearing truths

just straight

the truth is that we are abusing our earth,

our beautiful earth.

so my next question in my morning will be:

how can i serve the planet today?

how can i be of service to mother nature today?

the below image is a self-portrait where i mixed 2 shoots

to create a little story of longing

a longing i feel so strongly in my whole being

dear sisters where did you go?

i am looonging for you

this i created in villeneuve les avignon in late may

a version of a few others i created that day

oh how the heavenly creatures called her and she obeyed for magic to come through her

some beauty i captured this past week on my morning walks

here in epping

look at that rose!!!

nourish the moment

again

nourish your moments

wherever you are

she excitedly plucked the daisies all day long for specialness to dream of her that evening

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 25 Jun 2019 12:59:00 +0000

a midsummer dream day happened this past friday

the day we pluck flowers that we are to put beneath our pillow

in order for the special one to be dreamt of🌸

in sweden we have a beautiful celebration on this day

(my little brother david shared some images on his ig

account just scroll through some images and you'll see)

but since i am here in epping in my own little bubble

i decided to create my own little beautiful thing

she plucked the daisies all day for specialness to dream of her that night

she plucked and plucked her hopes one by one💜

i found this flowery field by chance looking for another location i had found a year earlier

(which i shot in the other day)

and i knew this was my midsummer day location

it's right behind

copped hall in epping

and yes i do have someone in mind

that i would adore to have as a dear friend:)))

a couple of day's before the shoot i did try on some outfits

this one won

dress found at beyond retro's dalston's location

bonnet custom ordered and created by starlite robinson

blonde and blowdry by my dear lisa at mr smith of epping

my art teacher jason rose is giving me piano lessons now

every other wednesday he is to visit my little lovely flat

a close up on top of my piano

my desktop at the moment

will work on this image to the right

that i captured when on my villeneuve-les-avignon vacation

the painting to the right was my inspiration for my past

friday midsummer day self-portrait shoot

a spring maiden

virgilio tojetti

on sunday i created another little shoot

this little one came with me to location😊

the above day i wore this to location

vintage dress i found years ago at beyond retro and its dalston location

the below self-portrait was my first creation in villeneuve les avigon

the sisters prayed for humanity and for the serenity of our planet

the dress i found in a charity shop i used to volunteer in here in epping

haven house where a dear carol works💕💕💕

here is lovely inspiration

i found the other day:)

so romantically beautiful

layers and layers of nourishments

lovely dears

today all morning it was such heavy rains and it weighed me down

so have not really been a good day,

except for seeing my doctor here in epping.

he is one of my corner stones for my well being💜

so that lifted all of me up.

too since i could tell him that one of my 3 goals for this year

had been accomplished:)

my little text and portrait is now published in the magazine of the swedish church in london. i am awaiting the print version and will show you then. i am happy very happy about the end result😊

there has been podcasts and wonderful inspirations, if you wanna follow those i do share in the moment things on my instagram stories:))))

this love is pruned into a perfection of beauty

when he sees me you should see his tail his happiness to greet me

oh how i kiss him hug him praise him

this week (or two)

because of a wisdom tooth that took over my whole head

and then i got this very bad allergic reaction to something that entered my eye and over the course of 30 minutes (while being in the class of my boot camp class) it was full on inflamed.

pain just overtakes everything.

at the moment now i am feeling sooo good:)))

A NEW MOON MAGIC WISHES AND INTENTIONS

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 04 Jun 2019 12:42:00 +0000

hey beautiful creatures💜

how are you all? i hope you have had a lovely week.

before i go on with my planned thoughts for this blogpost;

i need to acknowledge a little sad thing

my grandfather's little brother passed away yesterday after such suffering.
we all adored this little brother
and to me he was the last part of my grandfather in this material world.
see my grandfather was like a father to me and he sooo loved adored his little brother.
so sad.
i hope hope hope that is really true that they now get to meet.
i just wish i knew this to be true,
i want and need to be certain.

...
on another good note
...
yesterday was the existence of a new moon
which means we can set new
intentions dreams goals wishes plans actions habits
you name it in to play:)))
a main intention of mine is daily fine art photography creation
&
to focus more on my ballet training
and try to be a better student at
my stretch and define class here in epping
another intention
is to edit my flat
to just keep the most beautiful and/ or useful things😊
lastly
to be very intentional in nourishing my moments
my love jenny gave me the info to this lady
here are some
thoughts of hers for a new moon ritual
and such things

...

since coming home from my vacation my creativity has continued.

i created this 2 day's ago.

the prairie flowery woman

whose job is to nourishing the planet

moment by moment

she wishes to nourish all sadness in this world

dress from ele story

bonnet by starlite robinson on etsy

flowers from freddies flowers

this is me before shooting my creation:

the nun that feeds of the wisdom of the trees

nun dress from ann.tique

one closeup and another image from lightroom that i am to edit

again bonnet created by starlite robinson on etsy

freddies flowers

are the ones i used for in my prairie flowery woman self-portrait

my art table is again such a mess...!!!

epping beginning of summer beauty

for a long time i have been planning to create my own bible by re-doing an old style victorian bible. and then i heard about ralph waldo emerson journals about making your own bible. how special. for everyone to create their own bible filled with beauty bible quotes poetry prose that feels special to specifically you and then have it as a tool to sustain oneself, to nourish oneself🌸

i am so sorry, i can not find the website where i screen grabbed this.

but

here is a link to an idea on how to create your own little manual for life

💜💜💜

inspiration for this week is the magic photography

laura makabresku

i am now to shoot some fine art with my flowers i used for the flowery maiden shoot from freddies flowers. then i am to set my intentions filled with my wishes for the coming month.

much love to you all

VILLENEUVE LES AVIGNON - A FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY VISIT

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 28 May 2019 14:04:00 +0000

this lovely little village of avignon is such a treat

such easiness to nourish every moment of ones day

i got back from my wonderful vacation where i stayed in an airbnb flat from a thierry et nadia:) i had about 10 magic days. i loved the village i loved my flat my outdoors where i had tea most mornings. i loved doing my morning walks, taking walks to avignon to take a peek at some cute shops.

i have been so blessed by this creation vacation.

my 2 travel days though was packed with drama!

i could have missed my eurostar train to avignon

because i went to far on the tube to king's cross

and i left the subway to find a cab...there were no cabs

in the area of bethnal green at 6am until a kindness cab man stopped to ask where i was going,

he helped me out:)))

he was on his way to pick someone up and

he drove me on the way and for no cost,

his kindness warmed my heart.

and i was plentiful in time for my journey💜😊

yesterday on my way home,

i did miss my train in paris due to a late train from mariselle.

ohlalala i had SUCH a stressful day.

on top of being late i arrived at the wrong station in paris (if i had studied my journey i would have understood this...but i am a person whom sees the whole and never the details sometimes really detrimental to myself..).

anyways i choose to see these 2 days as adventures

and i have to say that lovely wonderful beautiful people helped me along the way,

for example the guy who helped me buy the ticket

to go from the station in paris i arrived at to gare du nord for eurostar,

the last piece of advice of his was:

"please do not stress you have time, just stay focused on taking train D and that you are going NORTH.

i must have looked crazy stressed out.

ohlala i am so glad i am in today😂

i did get upgraded to first class and got on the next train to london.

so in the end it was good. i was just severely exhausted.

i fell in love with villeneuve les avignon and its colline des mourgues

i created two fine art self portrait projects here

very picturesque

another location version of the above. much more close up as well.

at my home

a blessed being

this amazing flower concept store is where i bought my king portea flowers

the ones i used in the self portait you see at the top of this blogpost

a nos amours

are they not perfection beautiful???

i had to create a macro shoot of them for memory sake. i gave them to my adorable family that were the hosts of my airbnb flat before i left:)))

the mountain

colline des mourgues

its view = perfection beauty

here i had walked up to another mountain

see the lake?

i found a lovely adorable cafe

maison violette in avignon💜

VILLENEUVE LÈS AVIGNON - AN ALICE SAGA CREATION VACATION

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 21 May 2019 12:58:00 +0000

dear friends:)))💕💕💕

i am now in my flat that i have rented via airbnb in villeneuve lès avignon.

i adore my home,

i absolute have fallen in love with this little village,

the village of avignon.

here there are no fast fashion, coffee shop chainstores

no diet cokes

basically only french produce

and organic at that.

a haven for me:) for all of us i would say right!?

i am cooking now and i found that half of my sweet potato had gone bad, i can not remember when this happened to me last, it made me so happy. it should not be such a reaction but nowadays it probably should be a good thing then and agin since it means it's truly organic.

fresh organic food with no pesticides will go bad when it's time for it to do so.

then we can compost those and regenerate the soil!

people bike and they are aware of the environment

everyone bring their own straw bag or fabric bag

to get there vegetables to take home,

there is no plastic covering the organic french vegetables etc etc

and soo many other things. it's a different pace to lifew

oh how can i count the ways

how much do i love thee???

j'adore

the

french human beings that surrounds me

my landlords are gold

they are terrible though with their english,

the trouble is that my french is worse than their english😂

i have taken a couple of outfit posts

it's outside of my flat

i call them my villeneueve lès avignon outfits

do i look a tiny bit french:)?

in the mornings i do have tea here when the weather permits

so my plan all along since booking this vacation has been that i wanted to create here

this morning i created a tiny thing

i found this mushroom sculpture the other day and realized i fit in to it

maybe she'll be my mushroom faerie

i found this dress in the charity shop of haven house in epping

( i used to volunteer here with the magic ladies carol & maggie)

one view of villeneuve lès avignon

history💜

oh dear how i fell in love with this tiny street

french people sooo decorate their windows

with flowers and other magic things:)))

many of these lovely buildings

here is where i wanna create next...!!!

tomorrow i am to have a blowdry next door to my home and i hope to find a cute dress somewhere or a prop or maybe i should find something else? i do have a rochas cute dress with me, but not sure if it's extravagant enough. we'll see.

there is this lovely mountain that is filled with wild flowers

colline des mourgue

there are magic antique/ vintage markets on saturdays:)

i fell in love with this victorian nightgown

if it's there this coming weekend it will be mine💜

if you wanna follow my journey i am spamming my instagram stories at the moment😂

this trip is renewing me in so many ways. i am on a new chapter and i am proud of myself🌸

on another note

i am to contribute to the next swedish church in london magazine, kyrkobladet and its theme is timelessness in terms of art dreams and that nothing is ever too late to start. if you have any thoughts please fill me in on what i could create, my deadline is june 3rd.

another issue the theme was changes (or more specific in swedish förändring)

and i gave the then editor, åsa höjer, a self portrait and a poem i created specifically for this issue and it's the story of a very hard personal journey in verse.

i named it

faith hope & love

faith hope love

i was uprooted from my garden

the garden where my sweetness gave me love

the place i had borne fruit

my faerie tale

an unknown took place

where all i had loved was taken

…

laughter where did you go?

gratitude where did you go?

safety where did you go?

dear god in the heavens where did you go?

…

sweetness i miss you

…

along the journey

the beauty of life started to shine through

blue heavens

sunshine stroking my cheeks

blooms blossoming in rose violettes blues greens

in millions of shades

baby deer’s & bunnies everywhere

flowering butterflies

a world of smiles

…

the gift of new life

such joys

such happiness

i prayed

dear god in the heavens help me

trust your way

and for me to

embrace the magic

faith hope

love

- by me alice saga

how things can be wonderfully turned around by time and patience

with

a continuous faith and hope

see you next week

take care

remember to

nourish all your moments
i'll be back then
in epping
&
back to my beloved routines

faith hope love to you

I AM A BRIDE OF AMAZEMENTS

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 14 May 2019 13:10:00 +0000

dear friends:)

how are you? i hope your spring is treating you well!

here in my world everything is now revolving around me going to avignon france on friday.

since i have been on a journey (that i am still on but in much a better way) i have not been anywhere except in or around my home. basically east dulwich epping & central london has been it since 2015(if i remember correctly). i have needed the safety of home since i have gone through losing it at one point. i promise i will speak up about this journey. i will speak of social justice and many other things when time is ready for me to do so.

anyways, i am so excited so scared so hopeful so everything about my trip.

my vegan mentor,

the adorably wonderful
jennifer n.v. gassenheimer

from the new leaf vegan program

has guided me through my vegan journey in avignon.

she even found vegan cooking classes for me:))))

adore!!! love!!!

i need now to grow to expand to breath to be here now

mary oliver

when it's over, i want to say: all my life

i was a bride married to amazement.

i was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

when it's over, i don't want to wonder

if i have made of my life something particular, and real.

i don't want to find myself sighing and frightened,

or full of argument.

i don't want to end up simply having visited this world.

to be the bride of amazements

💜💜💜

the below image is a self-portrait taken in dulwich woods in 2015

i did let go of my websites (yes i did have 3 of them, one for styling, another for my photography and lastly one for my company "the faerie tales of violette") a couple of years ago. i was just too tired and could not afford to keep them. i am ready to create my one website now, i did manage to get my name alice saga as my domain😊

it is faaaaaaaaar from done,

A DAPHNE 🌸🌸🌸

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 07 May 2019 14:05:00 +0000

magnolia daphne beauty🌸

the below image is one i created as a dear memory of mine, one of meeting a daphne.

i did talk about this a tiny bit a couple of months back but thought it too sacred to share here at that time.

one morning,

an icecold morning (minus 3),

i was out at 4am starting my morning walk.

20 minutes in to my walk i stumbled upon something moving and oh how it scared me.

i realized quickly that an old lady had stumbled and fallen and did not know where she was, or why she was there.

she was in a nightgown, barelegged.

she was so cold.

i at once called the ambulance/ police and oh did we have to wait.

i gave her my coat my gloves my hat and i held her in my arms but she was still so cold.

it took almost 2 hours for help to come.
barefoot:((( she was so soft yet sooo unearthly shivering cold.

i did know her name daphne,
by then and
that she did live with her daughter alison and her husband dave.

for me this experience was one of humanity and love,

daphne gave me love.
how i adored her.
this 93 year old woman she was my little one for those couple of hours.

i had not felt that closeness with anyone for so long. yes it did give me love.

and oh how she was suffering😔

the police found her family,

the ambulance came

and thank god she survived.

alison (her daughter) told me she had to go to the emergency (alison used another term, one that freaked her & me out)

she was so cold so everything was uncertain.

a couple of weeks after i met them in their home:)

daphne in pink.

the family, dogs

and a lovely talking bird plus a garden that = magic:)

oh dear daphne.

i was gifted this magnolia celebration flower which i now created art with its blooming blooms💜

dear daphne

i have started to scan my polaroid images

started with the ones that has been affected by me moving house, spilling things on my dear art. the spilling was not so joyous but now i can see the beauty in it💜

the above polaroid image is from my former garden in east dulwich.

the cats made my days

i too frequently visited richmond in its kew gardens:)

well i do visit this magic still even though further away.

such a perfection beauty in the spring time

jessie dunne in my garden

see my sweetness?

she was always around checking me, protecting me.

(there are so many images here on my blog, here is one post)

how i love thee,

let me count the ways💜

this fluffy thing:)))

epping perfection

how she was screaming let me in. now now now.

how i'd love this beauty to be my family.

this morning i was to meet a lovely luis

dressed in some casual things feeling very joyous.

the curtain

was my destination

a shoreditch hotel/ membership place

i loved it and i did love luis whom showed me around

this is the veiw from their roof tarrace

east london wonders

together with an adorable spring day

at home

vogue us

hugely inspired by mikael jansson's talent portraits:))))

i wanna leave you with a recent inspiration of mine💜

this beautiful painting

is a creation of

lucien levy-dhurmer

"bilitis"

oh such dear inspiration:))))

much love and see you next week🌸

WE ARE MARVELLOUS AND SUCH THINGS 💜

noreply@blogger.com (alice saga) — Tue, 30 Apr 2019 14:29:00 +0000

hi lovely readers😊

i do adore anais nïn

(it started around this time)

tomorrow is may 1st!!!

it has felt SO far away but now it is so close:)

i am going to avignon, france on may 17th!

this beautiful inspiring woman has had me in awe for more than a year:)

for me to visit this magical place, thanks jamie:)

i am so excited and have such hopes for me discovering this lovely area.

i am to live in a flat rented via airbnb,

so i'll have my own kitchen etc etc i am to live 10 days as a local person i hope🌸

a local that captures everything beauty in as many moments as possibly can happen.

so i finished wuthering heights (by emily brontë),

i am glad to announce that despite the sadness of so many lives of the characters,

the ending is so beautifully wonderful

filled

with hope and a reckoning of sorts:)

yesterday was time to start another jane austen book:)

emma!

i hope it is equal to

persuasion, mansfield park and sense & sensibility,

all books of her that i now love adore.

on another note,

i love being a member of a gym.

especially taking some of their classes.

most fun has been bootcamp and

the most useful has been stretch & define

which is such an addition to my ballet classes:)

i never would have known had i not tried all these various classes offered.

so i am glad i have braved all sorts of classes.

one class that was sort of not for me has been boxcercise,

oh dear how exhausting!

of course daily = photoshop

where did you go my dear sisters?

i've been searching for you for such a long time.

been wearing some cute springy things lately:)

i love my to be adored dress💜

i styled a couple of lookbooks for binbin's to be adored label a few years ago, it may have been 2010 or so. the above dress was a gift to me, it's from her first collection which i loved SO much.

another shoot was this one.

i think her website is now here.

you might be wondering if you are checking out my links...yes i am the stylist linda portman!

for the longest time i have divided us up. it's just that i live for sisterhood, i live for trinity. i would have adored to have sisters.

so there you go:

alice, lindha & violette😊

looking happy in a

catherine malandrino dress

(a buy i was happy to do while having special price while

working for the new york times magazine)

zara jumper

chloe glasses

the cover of my phone is a double flowery exposure

as created by moi😊

a year ago, i went to kew gardens in richmond and started creating again after about a year and a half of silence. i did have and am still on that journey.

the below 2 were the first ones i created:)

such a lovely entrance:))))

i love those lilacs.

epping spring perfection

as you saw in the last blogpost my love helen helped me cut the plywood i had planned for still life shoots in my bedroom. i did not have patience to try this when i have painted the wood so put my newley bought clay dish as a subject in front of it:)

can't wait to paint my wood, to shoot food flowers and anything else lovely for still life images:)

tomorrow i am to cook in my new oven dish, healthily🌸🌷😊

tomorrow = may💕💕💕

my may self-portrait is the image as seen above, only different shades.

do you like one over the other?

this will be my love my flat come may 17th:)))

avignon france

will share all about this of course when time comes

i'll leave you with this💜

i am an excitable person who only understands life
lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger
as reason. i am so thirsty for the marvellous that only
the marvellous has power over me.
anything i can not transform into something
marvellous, i let go. reality doesn't impress me.
i only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when
ordinary life shackles me, i escape, one way or another.
no more walls.

anaïs nin

you are exciting you are wonderful you are marvellous

let magic shine through you

no more walls

faith hope & love
