2018-06-13T23:30:00.000+09:00

Just recently came across Dawn Golden's album and thought it was so insanely well done; definitely reminded me of the music scene growing up in Japan... Bummed he hasn't released anything new for years.. Here's my favorite song off the album, Last Train. Thanks Mad Decent.

I'VE BEEN TOLD TO GET YOU OFF MY MIND, BUT I HOPE I NEVER LOSE THE BRUISES THAT YOU LEFT BEHIND

2018-06-13T14:28:00.002+09:00

Another one I'm surprised I'd never posted anything on. Went to see the incredible Lewis Capaldi at the legendary Troubadour last week and he was phenomenal; he has the voice of an angel!

INTRODUCING... FLORA CASH

2018-06-13T14:19:00.001+09:00

So disappointed that I'd never posted anything on this band considering how much I like them! Got to see them live back in February and I'm obsessed. Here's Mother To Child by Flora Cash.

THIS IS MY MESSAGE TO YOU

2017-11-01T15:08:00.002+09:00

Be friends with people who make cool music so you don't have to lie and say you like their stuff or (b) straight up tell them you're not into it — either way you'll seem like a bad friend.

Heres Another Dimension (Skolhaus Version) by the great MishCatt!

Someone showed me this song yesterday and I said, "Not another rapper, I'm not into rap" and… to my pleasant surprise… Here's Loosen Up by B00ty (100% rapper name am I right); also figured I'd switch over to Spotify instead of YouTube by now.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE YOU'RE JUST TOO FAR FOR ME TO HOLD

2017-09-29T11:02:00.000+09:00

Switching it up from the typical folk / alternative posts for once !

Wow this is so great, Alex Ebert is a fucking legend and I am so glad he is finally releasing new music. Here's his new single, which he put out this week (with a solid video) called Broken Record.

INTRODUCING... MADISON DOUGLAS

2017-03-10T18:04:00.000+09:00

I've seen a good amount of musicians from USC perform over the past couple of years, and so far my Top 2 are still the first ones I ever saw: Madison Douglas and a band called Trousdale.

Madison is so ridiculously talented and seeing her perform with so much passion and rawness reminds me why I love music so much (and also how messed up the industry is by basing success on fame over actual talent). Also, the fact that her song Black Sheep was featured on Sofar sounds makes her eve more badass.

OUR LOVE IS SIX FEET UNDER, I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF OUR GRAVE WAS WATERED BY THE RAIN

2017-03-10T04:58:00.001+09:00

4 years later, but miss posting songs so I might as well start using this again without the written stupidity (for the most part). Billie Eilish is fantastic. Here's Six Feet Under. ALso, she's 15..........

I KNOW SOMEONE WHO COULD SERVE ME LOVE, BUT IT WOULDN'T FILL ME UP

Damien Rice is by far one of my all time favorite singers, undoubtedly because of how talented he is, but mainly because of the connection between most of his songs and a previous relationship I had. There's an incredibly relatable meaning behind most of his songs, and his new one, My Favorite Faded Fantasy is no exception. Can't wait for his new album to come out on November 31.
