Jenna Lyons Won’t Be Returning To RHONY Season 16

I am sad to find out the style icon, Jenna Lyons, won’t be returning third season of The Real Housewives of New York reboot. I was researching style icons to write about and specifically looking up Jenna Lyons when I came across the 2026 lineup, and Jenna won’t be a part of it! I mean she made the show worth watching! What was she going to to wear next? What’s going on in her life? These questions made me want to tune in. It certainly wasn’t for all the bickering these “housewives” do.

I’m not excited for the new cast either. The show just won’t be the same. No one is going to replace the style clout that Jenna Lyons brought.

I’ll still watch the show for Erin and Jessel, and we’ll see about the new ladies… I’ll check it out, but don’t know if I’ll watch the whole season. Depends on how interesting the story lines will be. Jenna Lyons will be missed!!!

RHONY Season 16 started filming in March 2026. The air date is not released yet but may air later this year or early 2027. Anyhoo, without Jenna, there’s nothing to look forward to in the show.

As Old Navy x Christopher John Rogers and Gap x Victoria Beckham is any indication of, H&M x Stella McCartney will sell out and fast. On May 7, 2026, H&M x Stella McCartney will be available on the H&M Website and at select H&M stores. Be ready to shop, drop, and check out because sizes and styles will sell out!

As the 20th year anniversary of Stella McCartney's collaboration with the global fast-fashion giant, this highly anticipated collection will surely, no doubt, break records when it comes to quickly selling out. Not even a week of Gap x Victoria Beckham collection, half of the styles were already sold out. It launched on April 24th of this year. The Old Navy x Christopher John Rogers collaboration that launched on April 15th is still available but several styles are sold out already. And these two collaborations are not as exciting as H&M x Stella McCartney!!!

I don't know what I'll be able to get my hands on, but I am setting my calendar and logging onto the H&M site at midnight May 7. I don't have a store nearby, so I will have to do my bidding Online. Amazing Color Changing Foundation! Adapts To Your Skin Tone

My mind has just been blown! This foundation is the best foundation I have ever tried!!! It comes out of the bottle white, but after you apply and blend it in, it just looks like your skin -- BUT BETTER !!!

I don't normally wear foundation on a daily basis. I am a serum, moisturizer, lipstick gal. I keep my face routine simple, but this foundation is just as effortless! There is not much need for over-blending. I blended with a blunt foundation brush, and it just needed a few strokes. The effect of Smooche Color Changing Foundation is a natural look that literally looks like your regular skin, but better. It does lighten your skin tone a tad; by a half a shade, but I didn't mind it at all. I've been walking in the sun and have gotten really tanned. I am Asian, and most Asians prefer having a light skin tone. It does cover blemishes too. I didn't use concealer, as I just wanted to try the foundation and see how it covers up imperfections. And this does a great job at that. I had some dark spots that could have used concealer, but that's for next time, when I wear this foundation for real. I was just trying it for the first time. I think I might have to include this Smooche Color Changing Foundation in my daily routine. It is easy to use and looks great. It doesn't look like I tried too hard to look good. It just naturally makes you look good. It is a keeper, and I will definitely re-order when I am running out.

What I love the most -- it is lightweight. I just feels like a light moisturizer. It works well on mature skin (I am 54, turning 55 in September), and doesn't settle on fine lines like most foundations, which is why I don't use foundation on a daily basis. But Smooche just changed the game for me. I can easily add this color changing foundation to my daily routine.

I did come across a video on YouTube saying Smooche is a scam. Don't believe everything you see, even this blog. Try Smooche yourself. I already did a blog post on the Smooche Peel-off Lip Stain, and I am happy with that product as well. I will probably try the Smooche Eyebrow Growth Serum as I have very sparse eyebrows. I believe in Smooche. Try the foundation. The foundation is a fair price, although the lip stain is a tad expensive, in my opinion.

You see how it lightens the skin, but it does even the skin tone out. My forehead is darker on the Before and my face is one even tone on the After. (On the Before photo, I had on Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair serum, Elemis Pro-collagen Overnight Matrix moisturizer, and Il Makiage Power Up Anti-aging Brightness Boosting Eye Treatment. On the After photo, I added the Smooche Color Changing Foundation). I tried the foundation at night before bed. I will sleep with the foundation on to see if it lasts overnight. I will leave in the comments the results of sleeping with the foundation on.

I am all about lip stains lately. I wore lipstick almost daily for decades, but for an updated, more natural look, I have been wearing lip stains. Smooche, a Korean brand, delivers with this viral peel-off lip stain.

The tube looks like a lip gloss tube. You can either apply thinly just to your lip line or apply all over your lips for complete coverage and color. Today’s Fashion Flashback—Marc Jacobs’ Spring 1993 Grunge Collection for Perry Ellis That Got Him Fired

I have been reminiscing of my younger days when there was a lot less to worry about and fashion was fun and carefree. Flashback to 1993 when GRUNGE was the scene. Music was loud. Plaid was everywhere. And dirty hair was acceptable. Ahhhh, those were the days.

In November of 2025, I found the fashion show for Marc Jacobs' Spring 1993 Collection for Perry Ellis on YouTube. I had never seen that full fashion show, and there I was, seeing all the outfits for the Spring 1993 collection. Wow!!! It was EPIC !!! Back in 1993, I could only see fashion shows on STYLE With Elsa Klensch on CNN. And they never aired full fashion shows; only highlights. For the first time, I was seeing every outfit, a high-end version of Grunge! Plaids were turned into diaphanous silks. There were beautiful granny see-through dresses. Outfits were paired with Doc Martins or Birkenstocks. And every outfit was layered upon layered as was done during the early 90's. Sadly, this collection got Marc Jacobs fired from Perry Ellis, but the firing catapulted his career.

Since November of 2025, I have been recreating some of my favorite looks from the show by gathering what I can find on ThredUp and The Real Real. I have found some beaded cocktail dresses, crochet cardigans, and long ethereal silk or silk-like dresses. Not Marc Jacobs or Perry Ellis, but other brands.

Here are some of the iconic looks from the Spring 1993 Perry Ellis Collection that Marc Jacobs designed.

My favorite look is the first one pictured. I was lucky to get 2 beaded cocktail dresses and some crochet sweaters/cardigans. Another favorite look is the floral granny dress. I found a couple of silk and silk-like floor length dresses. I will be mainly be wearing these outfits to church on Sundays. Alas, I live in a small town now, and there aren't too many places to go to except the grocery store. And church.

Easy Lip Care & Color -- L'Oreal Paris Hyaluron Tint Lip Stain Serum

This product is the easiest way to keep your lips hydrated and healthy with a flush of long-staying color. The minute I saw the video ad on YouTube with Kendall Jenner, I had to get this. I have been wearing lip stick for decades and swore by them for my go-to face (I don't wear make-up on a daily basis. Just serum and moisturizer on my face, then lipstick. That's my simple, daily look.) But now, I am adapting this lip stain serum as a more youthful, more natural go-to face.

It applies light and glossy but not sticky like a gloss. It feels like what it says -- a SERUM. It is very hydrating. When you let it dry, it feels like your lips are absorbing the product. Then, you are left with a long wearing stain that lasts, as advertised, up to 12 hours. For me, I vape with a JUUL vaping device, so I do have to reapply sooner than 12 hours. I have to reapply after 5 or 6 hours to maintain the moisturization and the stain/color. I use the product like this: apply, let it dry for 1 to 2 minutes, then go about my day. I must say, when I vape soon after letting it dry, the lip stain serum does not transfer onto the JUUL device. So I am impressed! Because most of my lipsticks transfer onto surfaces, especially my vape device.

You can use it like how I apply it, or you can blot with a tissue after application, then reapply for a richer, deeper stain.

This is a lazy girl's solution to healthy lips! And I am a lazy girl!!! I don't like to fuss about my face, but I am lucky I have good, clear enough skin that I look OK without foundation. (I think. I look OK to me, and that's all that matters!)

You can even use it on your cheeks for that all-natural flush! I haven't used it on my cheeks yet, but I'll give it a try one of these days.

My favorite shade is the Berry Jolie. I am a medium, tan tone, and the Berry Jolie looks like my natural lip color but more alive and healthy. Nude lips are the supposed lip trend for Spring 2018 from the Runway shows, but it's not my pick. What I will be wearing this Spring 2018 are Coral Lips and Violet Lips. Neither have really made a major splash this upcoming season, but so what. These are my picks. What are yours???

Finally! The Lookbook is Out! Altuzarra for Target

Back in May, I blogged about two collaborations to be excited about in the Fall: Alexander Wang for H&M and Altuzarra for Target. Fast-forward to now, just a half a month away from the official start of Fall, Target finally released the Altuzarra for Target lookbook. Released on Thursday, the 14th of August, exactly one month before the release of the collection. Expect to wake up early on Sunday, September 14th to either line up at the nearest Target store or to madly shop Online.

Oh, I will be up early to line up at my neighborhood Target once again as I did last Fall for the 3.1 Phillip Lim capsule collection for Target. I don't think it will be as crazy as the 3.1 Phillip Lim collab due to the very popular handbags, but I'm gonna go earlier anyway, since there are some tops I really want to get my hands on. And I must have that long black dress with the white flowers! Although the slit on the side goes a little too high, and the largest size might not even fit me, I still must have it. Yes, I know, I'm insane!!!

Switching My Daily Moisturizer to EUCERIN Everyday Protection Face Lotion, SPF 30

I am beyond sold on this daily moisturizer. I've only been using it for two days, but I love how it makes my face look and feel, the good amount of SPF, and most importantly, the price. It is sold at your nearest drugstore or discount retailer. Target has it for the cheapest everyday price of $6.99. I just happened to get it at Walmart yesterday because I had other items to buy there, and as it so happened, it was on Rollback for $6.96. For 4 fl. oz, this bottle will probably last me 6 or more months, and I apply face moisturizer on my face, neck and upper chest. The broad spectrum SPF 30 is the highest SPF I've seen on a face moisturizer, which is perfect for Summer. For me, it's good for year-round face protection and hydration, since I live in sunny Miami. It's very light-weight, great for people with normal to oily skin. If you have extra dry skin and live in a dry climate, I would probably recommend a thicker and richer daytime moisturizer. There is a light fragrance from the sunscreen, typical of what other sunscreens smell like, but it does dissipate after application. This moisturizer actually lessens the appearance of spots on my skin due to the milkiness of the sunscreen (I think it's from the sunscreen,) but it does not leave streaks or anything like that. The best part is that my skin feels silky smooth after it dries.

I owe my Mom for introducing this daytime moisturizer to me. She saw it on Dr. Oz this week, and they even had a giveaway Online, which we both missed out on. Oh well, but it doesn't matter. At about $7, it is incredibly affordable.

I was using Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford for about a year now and cancelled my membership because something in the formulation was giving me rough patches on my face. Although not visible, I hated how my face felt. I think everyone wants their face to feel smooth, right? For about $30 a month, Meaningful Beauty ships products every 3 months for a 90-day supply. Their daily moisturizer is only 1 fl. oz. and that lasts me a little over 90 days. Before Meaningful Beauty, I was using the Mary Kay Timewise (Normal to Oily formula) skin care regimen for years, almost a decade.

I believe in keeping your face-care the same brand to ensure product compatibility, but I am going to go rogue for a bit and see how mixing and matching my skincare products work out for me. Since I will soon be running out of my Meaningful Beauty supply, I went ahead and bought my skincare products: Clean and Clear day and night face wash combo pack, L'oreal night cream and eye cream, and the EUCERIN Everyday Protection Face Lotion, SPF 30 as my day moisturizer. All of these cost me about $40 and will probably last for at least 3 or so months, which beats the $90+ to $120+ I was paying for before for a 90 day supply. I'll see how it goes...

Yesterday I posted some inspiration for a big trend this season in Artful Fashion for Spring/Summer 2014. You may be wondering, "how can I make it work for me?" You probably don't want to be walking around looking like a big canvas, ready to be hung on a wall somewhere. The best thing to do is tone it down with neutral colors such as white, black, nude or beige. Follow these ladies' lead by wearing it with black. It really tones it down and makes this trend very wearable for almost any size. Even I can attempt this look on my plus-size frame -- black clothing is my best friend after all.

Matching your art print finds with a black T-shirt, cardigan, turtleneck, pencil or full skirt will give your outfit just the right amount of a statement and not the "Hey look at my loud, very loud outfit!" Also keep in mind that minimal accessories work best for this trend.

Buying just one key piece is all that is needed for this trend, since you can work it with basic, neutral items already in your closet.

2 Collaborations to Get Exited About for Fall 2014: ALEXANDER WANG for H&M and ALTUZARRA for TARGET

As I obsess about kaftans for this Summer, I am also drooling over two collaborations that will surely drain my wallet this coming Fall. Yikes! Luckily for me, these collections are set for the Fall/Winter season, and I really have no need for cold-weather clothing in hot-as-Hades Miami, Florida.

It was announced earlier in April that Alexander Wang is set to collaborate with H&M this year. The lookbook is not out yet for the capsule collection to be released on November 6, 2014. Expect urban-cool outfits with this collaboration where garments will be available for men and women.

Last week, it was announced that Altuzarra will collaborate with TARGET for Fall 2014. This collab is set to come out earlier on September 14, 2014. There are close to 50 items for this capsule collection that includes apparel and lingerie priced at $17.99 to $89.99 and shoes and accessories priced at $29.99 to $79.99. Target.com states that "The collection features a mix of iconic Altuzarra silhouettes with designs created specifically for Target." Also, no lookbook yet, but there is this sketch and video that gives us a hint of what to expect. One thing is for sure, expect sexiness and to show a little leg ;-)

It's Spring and soon to be Summer, and some lucky people may have weddings and other happy occasions to get dressed up for. Today, it's UK extension just launched The Dress Edit, where you can now shop for that dress that you need by trend or by occasion. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I have $10.72 pending in cash-back rewards from ShopAtHome.com. Sure, it's only ten bucks, but HEY, IT'S TEN
BUCKS !!! I had the same feeling as if I found cash I forgot about in one of my handbags or pants pockets. I don't even remember when I added the ShopAtHome.com Menu Bar on my browser page -- maybe earlier this year, maybe late last year. I really don't remember, but what a surprise to find out I've earned ten bucks in cash back this morning. I was alerted on my e-mail inbox.

I was going to blog about Coco Rocha's curated collection at Baublebar, but sorry Coco, I simply have to talk about the previous curated collection by Courtney Kerr. You may know her (as I know her) from Bravo's reality TV show "Courtney Loves Dallas," the show about her fashion blogger lifestyle and her travails as a single 30-something. To me the show is sort of the new "Sex in the City" set in Dallas. It's not my favorite Bravo reality show, but I did watch the entire first season. Although not a fan of the Miss Courtney Kerr before, I sure am now with her collaboration with Baublebar! I simply love, love, love the pieces she has co-designed for Baublebar for Spring 2014.

She brings it with these fun monogram, signature nameplate, and state necklaces! They are the most fun identity charms I have ever seen on the Web.

These are definitely very reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw of "Sex in the City." You know, I've been wanting a signature nameplate since that dang show, and finally, I can get one that's not too "chonga." If you're from Miami, you know what chonga means, if not you'll have to look it up on YouTube -- there's some pretty hilarious videos about chongas on there.

I also love the state charms. I don't know if I would ever wear a Florida one though -- some really idiotic and embarrassing things come out of my home state. However, if you come from a more reputable state and would like to identify yourself with your state, you have a lot of options for metal types. New Obsession: Stella and Bow's "Mean Girls" Inspired Jewelry Collection

A little over a week ago, on April 30th, marked the 10-year anniversary for "Mean Girls." I was delighted to find jewelry brand Stella & Bow and their BURN BOOK COLLECTION while browsing the Web today. The pieces are named after characters from the pop-culture pic. Not only are the pieces cute and fun, but the price is right on-point for budget-conscious gals with pieces priced from $27.60 to $264 -- with most pieces under $100.

I personally don't think you have to be a certain age to rock these pieces, but it is most perfect for now 20-somethings that were teens when "Mean Girls" came out in 2004. Me personally, I would still wear them, but I am probably guilty of wearing age-inappropriate clothing and accessories. I just don't define myself by my age. I wear what I want and like.

These jewelry pieces are crafted with gold-plating or silver-plating, but there are some pieces that are made with gold-filled elements which keeps it's color better. When I make my one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces or shop for jewelry, I prefer gold-filled because the color will last if you take care of them properly (as in not showering with them on, etc.) So be sure to check out the materials if this matters to you. J. Crew to Open a Lower End Line: J. CREW MERCANTILE

For the budget conscious, J. Crew is not often a shopping destination. It's a store often relegated for special occasions or an occasional splurge, since they are not known to offer deep discounts. With Jenna Lyons at the creative helm, J. Crew has a devoted following that continue to shop at full price. However, with lackluster sales from the most recent holiday season, perhaps this is an attempt to boost sales and profits. According to Bloomberg Business News, "net income tumbled to $5.92 million in J. Crew’s fourth quarter, down from $10.2 million a year earlier."

I, myself, can only afford to look to J. Crew for styling inspiration, and their products are often out of my reach. Finally, I might soon be able to do more than just window-shop with J. Crew Mercantile. This offshoot is said to be priced and to offer clothing and accessories similar to J. Crew Factory stores, except you won't have to schlep an hour away to a factory outlet mall. Mercantile stores are said to be located in regional malls according to Refinery 29. Think of J. Crew Mercantile as Old Navy is to The Gap -- a lower-end version at a lesser price. Why not, it's being brought to us by the same man, Mickey Drexler, the current CEO of J. Crew. He was responsible for introducing Old Navy back when he was CEO at Gap, Inc.

I love this new expansion to J. Crew brands, and I am gonna keep an eye out for the new Mercantile stores opening in my neck of the woods. There are no dates yet as to when the first store will open. Everything is still in the preliminary stages. J. Crew Group Inc. only recently trademarked the name J. Crew Mercantile back in November.

Something wicked this way comes, and for once I am not scared. In fact, I'm quite excited. I am looking forward to MAC's Maleficent Collection being available on May 15th. Run fast because this collection is sure to sell out.

This collection has everything to make you look fiercely wicked. Well, not Halloween wicked... More like wickedly beautiful, much like Angelina Jolie's upcoming character in Disney's "Maleficent," available in theaters on May 30th.

The color palette is extremely wearable and not at all ghoulish. My pick is the blood-red lipstick named "True Love's Kiss." I love the name, I love the bluish-red hue, I love everything about it. I hope I can get my hands on one...

Today's Fashion Flashback -- LINDA EVANGELISTA

My all-time favorite model is hands down Linda Evangelista. No model, in my eyes, can top the versatility, the beauty, and the photographic charm that Linda Evangelista had in the 90's. She still models today, but I miss seeing her face on the covers of magazines and editorials. Back in the 90's, she simply dominated fashion. Each month, you would see her face on numerous magazines, and every fashion show televised back then would have Linda gracing the catwalk. She was in high-demand and was all over the place. I never got sick of seeing her face. To me, there was no such thing as over-exposure for her.

I found this video from Style.com from their Throwback Thursdays with Tim Blanks Archive. This video was posted last week on the Website.

Back in the 90's, she was also known for changing her hair color often -- very often. She was the first one to rock "jungle red." There was not one hair color that she looked bad in. Not too many people can pull that off. My all-time favorite look on Linda was the canary yellow dress by John Galliano from 1995 with platinum blonde hair.

Linda Evangelista was the uber-supermodel of the 90's. She is synonymous to 90's fashion as Twiggy was to 60's fashion and Lisa Fonssagrives was to 40's & 50's fashion. It's those cat-eyes and winning smile that I will always remember in my fashion dreams.

Alison Mosshart: Artist Extraordinaire

Rock star. Fashion Icon. Muse. And now, painter too. Is there anything Alison Mosshart cannot do? I don't think so. Alison Mosshart oozes talent out of her pores.

I am not surprised to hear that her paintings were recently on exhibit in NYC, in the Chelsea District. Alison Mosshart, along with 20 other female artists, were on exhibit at ArtNowNY as part of the "Push It" exhibit to showcase female talent. The exhibit ended just four days ago on the 26th. Although I am late to find out about this and to share the info, she plans a solo exhibit in her hometown of Nashville, TN later this year. You might have a chance to check out her art then.

Alison Mosshart uses mixed media (acrylic, pencil and ink) on canvas, paper and fabric.

Alison Mosshart is part of the duo (along with Jamie Hince) behind blues-punk band The Kills, one of my current favorite bands. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in February 2012 during their 10-year anniversary tour. She has more recently been collaborating with Jack White with the band The Dead Weather.

Obsessed With Birkenstocks for Spring/Summer 2014

For Spring this year, I am looking forward to wearing breezy maxi dresses and skirts worn with Birkenstocks as inspired by the runway looks for Spring/Summer 2014 from Edun and Givenchy Menswear Collection and from Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2014. Also, I am feeling inspiration from last Spring's Celine collection with the fur-lined Birk-style sandals.

I scored a pair of aqua Birkenstock from Ross two weeks ago for 40 bucks, and my order from Asos of black-patent Birkenstocks just came in (about $75. Not really a steal, but I had to have them.)

I haven't had a chance to wear them yet. My new busy work schedule only affords me to wear scrubs, as I am a new nurse -- haven't had much time to socialize and be out and about, but when I do have the time, I will be wearing relaxed clothing with my new Birkenstocks.

I was never a fan of Birkenstocks before. I thought it was just bad fashion and associated with hippies, but once again, time has changed my mind. Maybe it had something to do with the Olsen twins sporting them? I'm not sure... But I really did like the relaxed outfits I saw them worn with recently on the runway. For this season, it has less of a hippie feel and actually has edge. I am looking forward to being comfortable in them.

To the right is a dress I found at Ross for $16.99 two weeks ago also, perfect to go with the aqua Birkenstocks. I've styled it with a croc-embossed leather bag that I scored at a Goodwill many years ago.
