Event Updates :) So many!

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Sat, 29 Nov 2008 08:13:00 +0000

Hm... Quite a lot of stuff going on these days.

First : Thank you Steven for the pic uploads :) Thank you loads, really

Second : There will be a Christmas Celebration this 25th Dec.

Maybe we should put it earlier or later than 25th so more ppl can come :)

Though, truthfully I never celebrated Christmas much.

Heck I don't even celebrate my own birthday much.

A bit lazy lar haha...

Hey I was just thinking.

Elliot should dress up as santa claus or something, since he's the organiser?

Yeah we should force him to do that and he can come down the chimney on that day, if there's a fire place :)

Third : SC Trip

To.... Taman Tun Park~~

8th December ( SC members only )

Actually any friends of yours also can come join us.

Looks nice :)

So please come :)

She wants you to come too, pretty please :D (I think the guys will come....)

She might be there on that day, who knows??

Plus I happen to be organizing this :)

I'll start planning the activities and all that and keep you guys posted yea :)

I was thinking of taking you guys rock climbing at 1Utama, but maybe next time lar.

Fourth : Fund Raising Carnival

"Fun on a Sunny Day"

Date unconfirmed but it's somewhere in January 2009

The poster looks something like this. Ignore the date, it's been changed to January.

Special thanks to Yune Yee :)

I didn't modify it much, accept just some of the words :)

Like the poster says, Games, Food, Drinks.

Coupons will be sold starting a week before the carnival.

And I'll be hosting it :)

Fifth : Chinese New Year

Ah, things haven't been planned for this yet.

The other Danny is organizing this.

Yeah, Danny power~!

It's not the year of the rat but...

I just had to put this pic

Tom and Jerry is so CUTE!!

Kinda miss watching it as a kid, really

Wait... It isn't the year of the dragon either
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

Definitely not the pig =.="

But it's cute

It's the year of the ox~!

Sorry it isn't red.

It's taboo lar... Bull + red = no no

Anyone likes red bull by the way?

I know it's random but... They say it has too much sugar and make

You mati pucuk.

What's mati pucuk? Aih... Opposite of Tongkat Ali :)

Sixth : PROM!!

Prom is on the way~~ Prom is on the way~~

Actually still kinda far from now but... Time flies, like they say :D

March 13th 2009~

And the big change this year for prom is....

PROM IS GOING GREEN~~!

Yeah guys, our theme has changed from glamorous to :

Yeah, think green guys.

Wouldn't you wanna bask in the ambience of...

nature?

My favourite colour is green after all :)

And green is good for the eyes too.

We all feel rejuvenated when surrounded by such incredible scenery :)

I just felt this looks nice so I just put it in :)

Phew....

Oh yea~!

Lucky Number 7 : The KBU Cheer leading Team

I'm sure some of you guys know about this already :)

But just to make sure, I'll just post something here lar.

A new KBU Cheer leading Team will be established pretty soon.

Michelle Chua shall be the acting Captain once the club is formed :)

Don't be afraid lar. She's quite a nice girl.

Talked to her that day about a few things too. You guys will see lar :)

More information can be found at her blog, www.kbucheerleaders.blogspot.com

Be sure to pay a visit.

I'm sure she'll appreciate it :)

I guess that's all....

Actually this is already pretty formal for me...

Don't worry, there will be informal posts soon too to balance stuff up. Of course, it will hv to do with SC.

Come on, ppl get bored easily, which is why I try really hard to write humorous posts.

So... don't get me wrong if I do write such stuff. I'm really trying my best.

Thanks so much! :)

Cracks of Life 26 : United we Stand

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Wed, 19 Nov 2008 12:32:00 +0000

Hoho, this can't go on :)

Yeap yeap, this definitely can't go on.

What can't go on, you ask?

The blog not being updated :)

I apologize, I would've actually wanted to update about our meetings but...

I don't have any pictures. People have kindly requested more pictures, so...

Anyway. With all do respect, for the sake of the blog, I just thought I'd drop by and post something

Since there's nothing else to update about the blog.

I haven't written something like this in a long long time...

Humorous as this blog has been, it's time to awaken the other side of me :)

Enjoy :)

..............................................................................................................

The world has never been united for a long long time...

Yes, it is an undeniable fact that mankind has never been united as one since anyone can ever remember...We are not even sure whether we those of the early ages were really united as one. This world has been split many ways.
Because of some incident long ago, mankind which was once united was separated.

The pieces of the puzzle that forms this world has been scattered. Grief, hate, fear, jealousy, greed has conquered the hearts of many. Such emotions have done a great deal of damage to mankind as well as this world. People have been time and time again, controlled by emotions. And how many people are ever able to conquer their own flaws?

How many people actually thought about others aside from themselves? It is so saddening how selfish the human heart has become, in one way or another... To the point that no one is able to look beyond themselves. 'Everything is for me. Everything is for my benefit. No one else aside from me matters as much as me.'

Such things do lurk inside the hearts of human beings. It is true that there aren't enough good people in this world.
Colour separates people, religion separates people, the different views each individual separates people. 'My religion is superior, my race is superior, my views on everything is the truth, and nothing else is'

People are unable to accept others for who they are, and they only look from one perspective...Which is their own. At times we have to look at it from other people's point of view. But there is one thing that, inspite of everything, humans do not see.

A long time ago

There was this saying

Humans, due to their differences, are unable to comprehend the importance of being united as one entity.

"When United, Humans can Accomplish Anything"

This is one of the biggest things that so many of us fail to see. When will the world ever be united once again? When will people see that other people are human beings as well, similar to ourselves. That they, despite their skin colour or religion, have the same red blood flowing in their veins. They too, have emotions just like us.

And that they, when united with us, can accomplish so many unimaginable things. We just don't see that... Like I do like to say, to be a great person, do you understand the pain of others? The pain of isolation, separation, discrimination, countless people have been victims of such painful ordeals...

I don't understand. Why do humans have to hurt each other? Is it greed? Selfishness? Such emotions are overwhelmingly strong enough to make humans do the silliest things....

Once again, human beings never think.

Countless fighting and wars broke up over the centuries or perhaps thousands of years this world has lived. Maybe millions? Countless innocent people were killed. And we still never understood.

Hurting someone else never solves anything.

It just brings more anguish and fighting. Then they say, 'if we don't fight, we will lose this war, and people will die anyway'. Yes, I can't deny such a fact.

But look at it this way...

The people are sacrificed when we go to war. We are letting them die so we can fight. I feel that's just... So selfish. People have families. The soldiers who go to war have families as well. They might never return... The people of the country is the most important thing to a country.Without them there would be no country.

Like they say, "A truly great king is one who cares for the people of his country". I believe that there are other ways to solve things other than having wars and killing people. Although for now, this seems to be very impossible.

But hopefully, in the future, mankind will see that there will be no need for wars and be satisfied with coming to a peaceful conclusion through negotiation. Of course we would say it would be impossible for humans to stop having world wars. Of course we would say that even more devastating weapons will be harvested in the future.

But we have to start somewhere. If we go on believing it is impossible, then we will never get started at all in trying to accomplish that goal.

So, let me ask now.

Why is it impossible?

Why? Because the world isn't united as one....

That's the whole reason we hurt each other, why we go against one another, why we fight each other. If only we thought a little more before acting. Instead of being controlled by the lust for money, the opposite sex, and so on...

As I said earlier, the puzzle pieces that form this world are scattered. What happens when they are gathered and united as one? The puzzle forms a picture...

A picture that says...

This world is truly a beautiful place...

We are all parts and pieces of that puzzle.

It's time we realized that...

I've only lived 17 years to say this.

I wonder what I'll be like when I'm older?

I wonder... But it's these mysteries that keeps us going.

.
.
.
.
.
.

Somehow. Despite it all.

I still have faith that the world will change someday.

Have faith in mankind. :)

..................................................................................................

Phew. I'm done.

That felt kinda nice.

Back to the normal Danny :)

Such things I can write only when I'm most serious...

It takes a lot of time and effort to write such stuff.

But I feel it is important. Somehow.

It is important that people actually get to read such things.

I don't feel it is irrelevant to the Student Council.

In fact, it's actually quite important that we work as one, and that people actually read this

It is my hope that people, anyone, will be able to understand themselves better when I write such things.

Whether they are from the Student Council or not.

So that's why I put in the time and effort to write such motivational posts.

Come to think of it, it never really was stated what the obvious reason of this blog is.

So here it is :) So that people don't say I go against the real purpose(s) of this blog :D

This blog is not only to let people know about the ongoings of The Student Council

It also serves the purpose of giving people a good laugh after a stressful day at work or college

Last but not least, it allows people to understand themselves better, and the truth about life to the best extent that the author can comprehend. For it may serve as a great influence to a person's doings in the future.

I really am trying my best to make this blog good.

I thank those who have supported me thus far, and believed in me. Thank you. So much.

Even if the blog never gets promoted, at least. At the very least some people still read it.

That alone means a lot to me :)

Even the 25 posts in my old blog did some good for some of my friends who read it.

So I hope I am allowed to continue it's 'legacy' here.

I will fulfill all 3 aims of this blog, even if it means taking up more of my time :)

And to you, thank you for reading every word I wrote. Thanks! :D

p.s. I'm quite unpredictable eh? And my English isn't that bad after all, haha. However it only occurs when I write such things lar... But still, there's still loads of room for improvment :)

Fun Day for Student Council members

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 13 Nov 2008 03:19:00 +0000

This week student council (SC) meeting were less formal compare to the previous weeks cause we all have decided it's time for us to pull ourself out from the everyday stress and just gather together and have some fun ^_^ A very special thank to Ganesan and his crew member in organizing the game for today and we laugh our heart out during the game =) it's been a long time since there's laughter in our weekly meeting

our first game were based on the our memory skills, it's basically we need to pass the message given from one member to another until we reach the end..the last person are required to write the last passed message on the board and compared with the original message..Here's some picture for illustration =P

The first game; pass the message~~

The second group for the first game~~

Yun Yee and Bernie are having a heart to heart conversation?? =P

Danny are not sure on what's to write after the last message~~

Dan the man~

Just a Filler :)

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Wed, 22 Oct 2008 16:05:00 +0000

Yo~~

Sorry for updating late, some technical problems

Yeah, the blogger website had some problem, I couldn't update

Either that or... It's the hostel wireless

Haha, anyway we learn to bear with those things, no?

And I will update about TFO as soon as I get the pics

I promise :)

It was a fair experience :)

We had the chance to dance 'like ya just don't care' style :)

And yeah, we helped each other to start dancing as well

If only more people yea? Then got more hype.

Next time we go KL club haha .

As for now, to occupy you, here is another random cure for your DLDDS~~

Comback Scenario 2 :

Derik, (he's my classmate! :D) is working hard in his system development subject, where he learns about system organization in software development. And so, Danny (yours truly) helps out :D

Much to his teacher's demise... hehe... :D

Derik : Hey teacher, this is quite hard to remember...

Miss Alicia : Whatever do you mean?

Derik : The system development project so many project stages wor..

Miss Alicia : Ah... 9 only.
1 - Initial investigation
2 - Requirements Analysis
3 - Requirements specification
4 - Logical systems specifications
5 - Coding
6 - Testing
7 - Implementation
8 - Maintenance
9 - Phase Out

Derik : Oh my god. Wo de TIEN!! (I think that's right, right? Haha, my mandarin improving!!)

Danny : Derik, don't worry, I am here, no worry :)

Derik : Oh shifu (master) , please teach me!!

Miss Alicia : Huh? You can help him remember?

Danny : Easy only, you see this is very similar to the process of stalkers

Miss Alicia + Derik : !!!?????

Danny : The initial investigation starts when a stalker finds his prey... He finds out all the background details of the girl he salivates over. Not literally over her lar... but... nvm, you get the point

Derik : Wah...

Danny : Ya... Crazy right? Then he go on to investigate the requirements analysis and requirements specifications in women, which includes body height, eye colour, preferred cup size, hair length (in milimeters), dress size, level of intimacy and so on :D

Miss Alicia : .....

Derik : *Starts jotting down the vital points* okay, uhuh, okay, continue

Danny : Logical Systems Specifications is the next step, which consist of two unintangible components, Logical design and physical design

Derik : unintangible? Got such word?

Danny : I'm just trying to sound smart :) Just play along

Derik : Sry master shifu, please proceed

Danny : Logical design is the physical body of the prey. Which includes skin texture, smoothness
(silky or rough), level of pigmentation, degree of curvature (slender figure) and of course, her... how do I put this delicately.... Robustness :DDD

*Miss Alicia wants to stop danny from continuing but is quite speechless*

*well actually she's just plain interested in what I had to say :)*

Derik : how to spell?

Danny : R-o-b-u-s-t-n-e-s-s

Derik : Ok :D

Danny : Logical design is a woman's logical thinking. We usually want to find mature intellectual
women, but in the stalker's case he's mentally ill lar, so it doesn't matter for him

Derik : Ya, he crazy wan, not like you, so INTELLECHEWAL

(side note: forgive me ya derik, I know your english not so bad... lolz)

Danny : Okay.. Now for coding. What could coding possibly be?? You ask?

Derik : Ya

Danny : Aih... You should know me by now. I never run out of ideas wan. Coding refers to the DNA coding in the girl. It includes all her characteristics inherited from elderly generations. So you can plan for marriage.

Derik : Oh.. Wow... Testing leh?

Danny : Oh, testing is where you do test run with a prototype doll from taiwan. You start talking
to the doll, although it will never seem to reply

Derik : Oh... stalker.. so crazy wan

Danny : Ya lor. Now Implementation phase. You put your practice into good use and you approach the prey. So whether he succeed... depend on how crazy he is

Derik : Oh.. Crazier better?

Danny : It seems so. You see, there is a graph chart, the level of craziness is directly proportional to the level of success in dating a girl... Provided she's as crazy as you

Miss Alicia : .... I have such crazy students

Danny : Ya... SO, finally, phase out. Once the stalker is 'satisfied'-

Derik : mmhmm.... Satisfy already...

Danny : He phases out. Leaves. Like divorce. Bercerai. Adios Amigos :) So this is how system development is connected to stalking. You can use this way to remember you're facts easier :D

Derik : Ya... SO easy. But I dunno stalker so crazy one. How you know? You stalk people before r?

Danny : er... haha... >.>

Derik : Tell me lar... woi...

Danny : Okay lar, you know why you can find such information in this book?

Derik : Wah... Ya lor, the 9 steps also like for stalker book

Danny : Because... Come nearer lar...

Derik : what????

Danny : Software engineers are actually stalkers

Derik : So I take this course is to learn how to stalk girls r????

Danny : Guy also can

Derik : NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Miss Alicia : Okay okay, continue class, enough jokes...

Whole Class : Yes teacher!! (all got semangat already after I tell story)

Hm... Come to think of it Software Development does have alot in common with stalking...

Haha Yeah, so that's life in B601 software engineering course. You are welcome to

join in and see what it's like, although I doubt so after you read the dialog :D

Ah.. some of the dialogs I exaggerate abit lar. It was all spontaneously made up

by me within a minute after teacher explained about the software development cycle :D

Haha, I am abit crazy sometimes, although my classmates and teachers say I'm VERY crazy

So, think twice if you ever feel like dating me :D

Especially guys... Lately got one guy stalking me.

In my own class. Scary.

He even sits next to me.

He puts his hands on my lap and goes... 'dannnyyyyyy....purrrr.... you so sexxxyyyyyy....'

Haha, okay, enough for today. May the story continue sometime in the future.

Tata~

Oh steven~ please pass me the pics soon~ I didn't see them on Xsorbit...

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Sat, 18 Oct 2008 05:18:00 +0000

(Warning. Long post ahead. Loads of pics :) )

Sry for the delay again :)

Haha, I know I can be slow in updating, but i'll try harder k ? :D

So anyway, last friday night we had the Talent Fashion Outbreak partay :D

And I came dressed in black and white!!

That's me, hehe :)

I look slightly different in pictures, but nevermind, haha

Mom : Danny... you look so nice... No girls interested in you meh?

Danny : Ah... Dunno lar... Y u ask this so suddenly?

Mom : About time to find one already lar. At least a girl will make sure you clean up your hostel room a bit. I'm sure you wouldn't let a girl come in if it's dirty.

Danny : Ah... Haha... Well... Now not the time to think about that lar... Worry next time k? :)

Mom : Suit yourself then

Danny : And besides, why would I bring a girl to my hostel room anyway?

Mom : Well... You know lar...

OKAY CUT!! That's enough lol.... Don't go getting any ideas about me k... rolf

Just so you guy know, my mom's a pretty open person. That explains alot about me, if you get to know me well enough... :)

Anyway, that was what she said whenever I dressed up nicely. Oh well. Moms right?

Ahem ahem... On with the show :)

Perl waiting for her hair to be done :)

Say... I never really saw her after that.

Did she leave early?

Louise before her hair was done :)

Louise after :) Together with her hairstylist

But u know... He damn evil wan...

All he did to my hair was just spray with wax.

SO EVIL!!

But I supposed it looked nice as it is... So nevermind lar :D

This is.. Some random guy :D

Leon before his hair was done :)

Leon After :)

Yee Wen, our marketing leader :) I don't think she got her hair done though

More random people :D

One of the hairstylists with er... one of the models

Haha, sorry if I don't know your name

Steven, our photographer with Louise

The Star Interviewer with Terrance

So lucky, get to be interviewed by her...

I wonder what she asked him?

Star Reporter : Hi-

Terrance : PLEASE INTERVIEW ME!!

Star Reporter : Yes, I was just about to -

Terrance : IM ON TV!! IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE!!

Star Reporter : Erm... You're name please

Terrance : I'm Terrance... But you can call me Luke Skywalker

Star Reporter : .....

Terrance : Is something wrong?

Star Reporter : No... So why are you called Luke Skywalker?

Terrance : I dodge balls.

Star Reporter : Oh... So your hobby is dodge ball?

(Hoho, promoting dodge ball~ Although I don't play... haha)

Terrance : Not just any dodge ball!! No no no... we have our super-ultra-mega-multiple-variation dodge BALL!!

Star Reporter : Huh?

Terrance : You see. It is unfortunate but... The best things in this world are round.

(Lol, did I just write that... haha)

Star Reporter : Oh...

Terrance : And so, our dodge ball comes in kinds of sizes. We have mini balls, fish balls, cannon balls, gum balls, snow balls and so on~

Mini balls are small and undetectable

Fish balls can float and can breathe underwater

Cannon balls are deadly powerhouse bombs!! Stuns opponent for 2.5seconds

Gum balls, when opponents step on these, their feet become almost rooted to the ground due to its undeniable stickiness!! Holds opponent for 6 seconds

Snow balls, slows enemy movement by 50% and gives 20% chance for them to miss on attacks, and 10% chance to slip and faint for 5 seconds.

Star Reporter : Sounds like Dota...

Terrance : So please come to join our dodge ball games every Wednesday 5pm onwards at KBU field

Star Reporter : No wonder you were so eager to be interviewed....

Terrance : And remember, drink plenty of water, to cleanse your digestive system. And eat plenty of BANANA!! It is easily digestible and absorbed by the body :D

Star Reporter : How did we go from star wars to Dota to our digestive system....?

Terrance : And yes... Make sure when you book your hotels, get those with rotating beds. For -

Star Reporter : OKAY THAT'S ENOUGH!! Were on live TV for goodness sake... And imagine all the little children watching-

Terrance : And also, may the force be with you :)

Star Reporter : May your common sense be with you. I pray for your recovery someday...

Haha, well, at least dodge ball got promoted right? Sry, I'm abit random at times

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Mon, 13 Oct 2008 16:01:00 +0000

Hey hey!

Sorry for being gone so long. My semester break mah, so I cuti (holiday) a while lor....

It's like that one... At first u very hardworking update the blog so frequently.

Then after holiday come, you just sit down at ur pc, planning to write the next post, when suddenly...

THE GAME CALLS!! Yes yes... Dota, world of warcraft, devil may cry 4, and...

NEVER WINTER NIGHTS 2!!!

Sadly though... after installing never winter nights 2... I CAN'T PLAY!!

I mean, come on, the file itself requires about 4.8G hard disk space.

And I'm afraid... I need to get a new graphic card... The game requires pretty high graphics.

Anyone got a graphic card to spare?? :D

Oh well, anyway, I am so sorry for keeping some of u in the dark about the discussions in our last meeting.

And for causing alot of DLDDS ( Danny's lame dialogs deficiency syndrome)

Where people suffer from the lack of danny's lame dialogs ! :D

Anyway, as many of u already know, prom has been shifted to.....

13th March 2008!!

I know, It's pretty much old news by now...

But... for the sake of those who do not know, and some of my Loyal Readers ( Yeah, believe it man :) )

I had no choice but to write it here :D Despite it being..... Old ? Haha...

Only one problem, it's about time to publicize and promote the blog

Not many ppl actually know about the blog yet ( meaning students outside of SC )

So it's like I'm writting to no one....

And I sometimes lack the feeling to make immediate updates because sometimes it just feels... there's no reason to

since no one outside of SC reads it anyway.

My honest opinion. Really. It's About Time to Promote this Blog

And It'll give a huge heads up to people about the change in plans :D

I mean, if I keep writting these posts, they will become old posts by the time this blog gets promoted, so many ppl won't bother to scroll to the old posts.

Which is another reason why I'm not so eager to update immediately...

So really. We can promote the blog now, even if the prom is like 5 months away.

So... I hope that explains my long absence :D (aside from the oh-so-tempting games on my pc...)

Need to cut down already since college just started again.

Don't worry, I'll somehow manage it, and get good grades :D

Yeah, ya know I do :D

Comeback Scenario 1 :

Danny returns to college, to his teachers' demise. You see, to all his teachers, Danny is just one noisy little brat in class. This is a true story. Which is about to unfold. And I don't know why I'm talking in the 3rd person's point of view. My ideas just never seem to run out :D

Miss Alicia enters the class.

Danny : Hi teacher!! How's ur husband?????????????

Miss Alicia : ......

Danny : Teacher, so long never see, u cut ur hair r???

Miss Alicia : Okay class , please open your System Development text books

Danny : Wait teacher, miss Siew Ping hasn't handed us our books yet :D

Miss Alicia : Oh okay, then.... Go to ELP website, there are handouts there

Danny : ELP?? Extremely Long People??? ( I wasn't thinking of that THING okay... Perverts ) What kinda website is that? *blinks innocently*

Miss Alicia : E - learning portal lar... Anyway, here, read the case study about airlines for System Development.

Danny : Oh... This Comair Airlines... Due to out of date crew management systems, they suffered a loss of over $20million...

Derik : Ya lar...*Speaks hysterically* Why they so like dat?? Why they so like dat??? Just follow Air Asia, everyone can fly...

Danny : Calm down Derik....

Derik : Aiya you dun say me lar.... You also so crazy wan, ask teacher about her husband everytime

Danny : What? I was just concerned about her husband's health :D Hey teacher, that diamond ring so big, ur husband must be quite rich oh...

Derik : See, again =.=

Danny : Haha, Ok lar , sry teacher, please continue, I know my limits >.>

Miss Alicia : So... The crew management systems, anyone can explain?

Danny : ME ME ME!! The crew management systems, u see, the most important person in the crew is the STEWARDESS

Derik : Oh no.....

Danny : It's a whole marketing strategy with these stewardess...ses. Sorry, plural :D Anyway, the real reason why Comair Airlines did not make it like Air Asia-

Derik : Yeah~

Danny : Is because when the stewardess serve food, they didn't bend down

Miss Alicia : Huh???

Derik : Here he go again

Danny : You see teacher, you're a girl so maybe u dont understand. I'm sure u want to know right, teacher :D

Miss Alicia : Go on...

Danny : If you havent noticed, whenever men order food from the trolley in the aeroplane, they always ask for the food on the bottom shelf

Miss Alicia : So the stewardess bends down? =.=

Danny : Exactly!! You're learning well teacher. They get a good view of the ocean... and mountains.

(I innocently meant the view of the outside of the aircraft )

Miss Alicia : Oh... Doesn't really make sense but nevermind, otherwise you'll keep talking

Danny : Really teacher, you never see car advertsistments meh? The number one way to promote cars is oceans and mountains

Derik : Danny, yer....

Danny : Hey, u never see our Malaysia truly Asia advertistment? Mountains and oceans. That's why we become famous... Aiya, what u thinking leh?

Derik : Oh... Ya hor... Ya hor...

Danny : Of course :D

Miss Alicia : How did we go from aeroplanes to motor sports and then to Malaysia truly Asia?

*Whole class points at Danny*

Danny : Fine fine...

So the only thing we learnt that day is 'Stewardess bends down'

Truly, I kinda love my class

Were a small class, so everyone knows each other lor...

And we know the teacher very well lor, so disturb abit also nevermind wan

And the best part? I don't get bored easily. All I do is L&L in class

What's L&L?

Laugh and learn. Yeah, rox. You don't get bored, and you learn something, in this case about stewardesses :D

So Leon, u should be my classmate next time, since u told me the other day ur classes in electrical engineering are boring.

Trust me, with me around sure not boring wan in class :D

Well, that's the other me in class :D

So far there are 3 different Me's

Me when I'm in SC (serious abit)

Me when I'm in Class (kinda crazy but he knows his limits :D But still crazy lar in his teachers' eyes)

Me when I'm Clubbing (Oh yeah, I'm totally crazy on this one :D)

Anyway, there are a few other 'Me's'

But I shall review them in the future :D

I know what u guys must be thinking

'Man, thank god danny's back!!'

'Man, why can't I be danny's classmate!?? *sob* sob*'

'Man, he sure does have cool teachers if they let him talk like that' (yeah, you bet they're cool :D )

'Man, is that really Danny?'

And lastly

'Hey operator, can I get a flight to.... Anywhere? As long as I can see mountains and oceans :D '

Haha... Well, that's all for now.

Don't miss me too much :D

Good Night, Stay tuned

Sincerely,

Dan the man~ ( I wonder if what miss Alicia will say if she ever reads this? )

Hold It

I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We will be briefed about all changes during next Wednesday's meeting.

It's his nappy time :)

I know some of you are suffering from DLDDS

(And you guys wonder why I never went to Arts & Design...)

Mouse problem lar actually, not smooth. Really wan.... :D

What's DLDDS?

Danny's Lame Dialogs Deficiency Syndrome

Need to balance a bit lar, since the previous post I put so many dialogs, I won't put one in now :)

Hang in there lar.. I know you guys cannot stand it already. You need some dialogs. I really overdid it in my last post... so...

Hehe, keep the suspense there hoho :) Also, Leon wants me to make the post shorter. Really, don't kill him okay.

If not there will be no one else in this world who is capable of making an elevator travel slower :) It reeaaally felt like the elevator was slower that day when I was in it with him. Haha, joking lar Leon...

Okay, that's all for now, byeeee~~

Maybe I really should become an author, hoho :)

The Fox Named Danny

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Thu, 11 Sep 2008 02:47:00 +0000

*WARNING, Long Post Ahead, Many Dialogs*

So today was the test run for Lantern Festival

It was good :)

There were problems, but we found solutions and took necessary actions :)

What kinda problems? We'll get to that soon :)

Our team leader for the Fox and the Lantern is Yong Jian :D

Dang, I didnt take a picture of him, I'll just steal one from Leon's blog :)

You'll know later why I put a picture of him karaoka-ing :)

Problem 1 : Fox and the Lantern

Yong Jian : Oh no!! It's the big bad wolf !!

The Fox Named Danny : I'm a fox dude....

Yong Jian : Help!! HElp!! Wolf in the field!!

Chaman : Is that Yong Jian? That's the third time he's lying about a wolf in the field. Let's not listen to him, the poor boy just won't learn *tsk tsk*

Yong Jian : Chaman, you gotta help me, Legend has it that during the full moon on Lantern festival, our Emcee Danny will turn into... A WOLF!!

The Fox Named Danny : I'm a fox.....

Yong Jian : You see!! He admits!! He's going to eat little red riding HUI SHAN NOOOOOOO!!!

Chaman : Yong Jian, he's a fox, so that's three times you lied to us.

The Fox Named Danny : Finally someone who listens....

Well, so much for the fox problem. It was all a misunderstanding :) The fox is harmless. Come on, I won't bite :)

Problem 2 : Lighting Candles

The Fox Named Danny : So your telling me... I'm supposed to huff-and puff and wha??

Yong Jian : Yes, blow the candle down, to show that your really a wolf...

The Fox Named Danny : Okay, first of all, I'm not a wolf, second of all, why should I help you, and third of all, why are you whispering??

Yong Jian : You gotta help me!! I've lied 3 times to Chaman!! Now he's gonna make me play foosball with him for all Eternity!! And everytime I lose I have to pay him 1 ringgit!!

The Fox Named Danny : Have you realized at the end of each of your sentences there's a double '!!' sign?

Yong Jian : That's besides the point!! Oops, I did it again...

The Fox Named Danny : OH MY GOD!! YOU LIKE BRITNEY SPEARS TOO!?

Yong Jian : Er... Yeah?

The Fox Named Danny : No wonder you shaved your head bald. Okay okay, I'll help you.

Yong Jian : Really?

The Fox Named Danny : I huff and puff and *blows with all his might*

Chaman : =.=

The Fox Named Danny : ??

Chaman : my precious... CHEST HAIR!!

Yong Jian : We should run now

The Fox Named Danny : Right behind you dude!

So the Fox Named Danny (I just love that name!) blew Chaman's chest hair off. This is really starting to become a fairy tale...

Going back to reality, cardboards will be given to people to stop the wind from blowing out the candles in the game. Ah... this feels a little less interesting than the Fox Named Danny story. Even I feel that way. SO let's go to the next story :) Part 3!!

Problem 3 : Treasure Hunt

*Yong Jian and The Fox Named Danny start running from Chaman who is no longer Hairy, with lanterns held in their hands*

The Fox Named Danny : Where did these Lanterns come from??

Yong Jian : Just follow the script will you!?

The Fox Named Danny : Ah... Okay Okay, where was I? Oh, we're in the Running With Lantern Game now

Yong Jian : Oh no!! He's gaining on us!! Run faster lar!!

The Fox Named Danny : Were holding lanterns dude... And there you go again with the double '!!' sign

Yong Jian : That's not important...

The Fox Named Danny : It's in the script!

Yong Jian : Oh... so sorr-

Chaman : MY PRECIOUS!!

Yong Jian : Head for the mooncakes!!

The Fox Named Danny : Here's the riddle. There are 3 mooncakes, you take away two, how many mooncakes do you have ?

Yong Jian : I think the answer is-

The Fox Named Danny : WHY ARE WE ANSWERING THIS!? just run!!

Ah... Forgot to buy flour for Omar, be right back.... I know very potong steam, but nevermind lar, go get some pop corn. It's getting good :)

K, i'm back, let's continue with the fairy tale!! :)

Yong Jian : Oh no!! It's an obstacle course!!

The Fox Named Danny : It's a catwalk, or foxwalk if you want :)

Yong Jian : Start crawling!! Start Hopping over the white flour circles!! We're almost there!!

The Fox Named Danny : There's no time! He's catching up, how did he do it??

Chaman : I skipped the obstacle course

Yong Jian : Why didn't we think of that??

Chaman : HAHA, you are all MINE. Any last words??

The Fox Named Danny : As a matter of fact, we do! Come on Yong Jian!!

Yong Jian : What?

The Fox Named Danny : Oh yea yea yea yea....

Yong Jian : Oops I did it again~

The Fox Named Danny : I played with your Hair~

Yong Jian : Got lost in your bush~~

The Fox Named Danny : Oh baby baby...

Yong Jian : Oops you, think I'm involved~

The Fox Named Danny : That it's on purpose~

Yong Jian : BUT WE ARE STILL INNOCENT~~

The Fox Named Danny : Chaman, before you kill us, there's something I want you to have...

Chaman : Oh it's beautiful! But wait a minute, isn't this...?

The Fox Named Danny : Yeah, yes it is :)

Chaman : But I thought you blew it around the field?

The Fox Named Danny : Well baby, I ran around and got it for ya :)

Chaman : Aww, you shouldn't have :D

*ha, ha, Ha CHIU!!*

Yong Jian : Oops, he, did it again to his hair~~

The Fox Named Danny : Stop singing already! Let's go, before he notices!!

Chaman : Wait!! I understand that this is all a misunderstanding. You guys don't have to play foosball with me for eternity anymore.

The Fox Named Danny : But your... Chest Hair, it's...

Chaman : Don't worry, it'll grow back, just like Britney's :D

Yong Jian : Phew, can finally stop running...

Chaman : And here, the prize for your treasure hunt.

The Fox Named Danny : Oh... isn't that the biggest hair you've ever seen?

Chaman : Those are vouchers for prom night....

Okay, I'm finally done. Such a long post. Hope you guys enjoyed it :)

Hope you all weren't bored or anything. The story is just made up lar of course, I'm just joking only, so Chaman, you're not gonna make me play foosball with you for all eternity right? :) Yeah, hope not....

Be sure you guys are there tomorrow, I'm emceeing :) Good bye! Gotta go somewhere tonight.

Oh yea, happy birthday Louise!!

And some random pics

The Games Review (Literally)

noreply@blogger.com (dan the man~) — Sun, 07 Sep 2008 15:11:00 +0000

Okay guys, time for the games review I promised :) ( this is for prom night, games 1-4 are reviewed in earlier posts)

Game Suggestion 5 : Bongo-Bongo

You know honestly, I find it weird that this game is called Bongo-bongo. Were also abit unsure whether it's the right name for the game.

So I did some intensive research online on this game. Yeah, wonders of the Internet ya know.

THIS IS BONGO-BONGO

I ain't kidding.

Phantom Shadow Beast, in the Legend of Zelda.

Ignore the ring tone advert

There is even a guide to defeat this phantom boss.

- Equip your sacred Lens of Truth

- Draw your bow and attack his hands (those floating thingys)

- Once he falls to the ground, use your Z-sword to hack his eyes out.

- The boss may cry in pain, just ignore it

- His 'hands' may knock you off the platform, use an antidote if you get poisoned.

Wow, really, I never thought this could be bongo-bongo.

Anyway, on a more serious note, the real bong-bongo game :

- We will name an item, like plastic cup, spoon, fork, bottle, hair or anything at all.

- So the people will have to start looking for them.

- The first person to bring the item wins

- I'm sure you guys are familiar with this game

I get the feeling some of you are looking more forward to the Legend of Zelda than the real bongo-bongo game. Come on, we can't bring a Nintendo Wee to Prom Night or whatever console that game is on.

Zelda ring tones anyone?

Game Suggestion 6 : Glam-o-rous

About this game, it was originally called the Yam-seng game. How it became Glam-o-rous? (Take note I am a banana and I don't even know what I'm writting)

Ah Kau : Wo bu hui chiang hua Yi

Ah Gou : Wo yau Yam-seng

Ah Kau : Ni shi anjing.

Ah Gou : AMA!!! AH KAU BU HUI CHIANG HUA YI!!

LOL. I really don't know what I'm writting. Gou means dog right? Anjing also means dog. Ah Kau also can mean dog I think. Ok lar, someone teach me Mandarin after this.

Back to the game, sorry for side-tracking. Just thought you guys were getting bored, no?

Anyway, we will ask each table to chant the word Glam-o-rous. This is done during around dinner time while people are having their meals.

The table with the loudest chant wins something of course.

Well, I think that raps it up. Dwayne, I'll update about the banner tomorrow. My inbox got problem don't know why can't access your email although I clicked it about a hundred times like that. Daniel, I will also update about the awards.

Oh yeah, one more thing before I go.

The games review, it does have to do with SC. Technically lar, since I really was 'dedicated' enough to go online to thoroughly search for the true nature of bongo-bongo. Haha, well, I really hoped you guys liked it :)

Nitez

dan the man~

p.s. Zelda's just so cute

The Shades...

noreply@blogger.com (Leon) — Thu, 04 Sep 2008 21:35:00 +0000

Well, we had been having several meetings regarding the Mooncake-Lantern Festival or the Lantern Festival or whichever way it goes, we sure have many ideas for games and improvement/troubleshooting.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure Danny had already explained half (or perhaps EverytHING) of the thing that took place in the meeting... I am just here posting some extra information for teh Lulz... ANywayZ!!! I am here to summarize what he had just said... I THINK I FOUNDED A NEW JOB(^_^)

Uh... basically... what danny is trying to imply through his long post is that there will be 4 games taking place during the lantern festival which is on the 12th of September. The first game will be the Fox and Lantern ------> buffet------>candle fun-----> treasure hunt

I will explain the rule in point form I guess...

Fox and Lantern
-4 groups, each group 5 person
-The parent (leader of the group) will have to protect the child (any member) that is holding the lantern from the opposing team
-Whoever extinguish the candle in the lantern of the opposing teams wins

Flying Shoes

Okay, you guys must be wondering about the weird post name, but I'll get to that later :)

First off we'll start with our meeting. It's not exactly the minutes of the meeting or anything like that, but I'll discuss about the most important things that were in the meeting.

Unfortunately, we forgot to take some pictures. No worries, maybe next time, you guys just got to bear with reading :D It's okay, I promise there'll be one or two pics by the end of this post.

Adeline Chen introduced herself at the start of the meeting to the new recruits who still do not really know her (like myself :)) She's back from her hometown, and she's our Public Relations Officer. Nice meeting you by the way :)

Anyway, we continued with (yours truely :)) going up to talk about the games we're going to have for Lantern Festival. It was kinda unexpected, was informed earlier that day only, but it's okay, I like unpredictable stuff. And being the spontaneous guy I am, (Mardigras post hoho :)) I went up and talked.

Danny : Okay guys, you all know Lantern Festival is next Friday right?

The Crowd : Er... Really ar?

Danny : =.= Anyway, the first game were gonna play is the Fox and the Lantern

The Crowd : Ooohh....

Danny : It's the game where you know, the Bapa Ayam protects the-

Elliot : Bapa Ayam!?

Danny : LOL. Okay Okay, sorry, wrong term used. The ibu ayam -

Chaman : Danny, English, some can't understand Malay.

Danny : Okay, the chicken mother -

The Crowd : LOL

Danny : Haha, seriously now, the parent will have to protect the 4 little children from the opposing team. The last child holds a lit lantern. They will try to make each other's light go off.

By the way, those who don't know what Bapa Ayam is... It's... nevermind, go ask a friend who knows Malay :)

Oh yeah, there will be a minimum of four teams. If there are many people then perhaps we could have eight? But we'll see how on that day. 2 teams will go against each other. The winner of each team will go against each other until one winner is found. It's like you know, the chart for football or basketball competitions? Yeah :)

Then I proceeded to tell about the next game, which is after the buffet. The lighting candles and water gun game. We have to test run the game before we can really conclude how we're gonna play this game but, here's how it roughly works. Teams of two will be formed. One person is blindfolded, and the other person guides him or her to light the candle. Points will be given for the candles lighted within time limit. Then yeah, they will use a water gun to put out the candles. Points will be given for the candles that are put out and do not drop.

Something along those lines, still have to be tested. And we have to come up with a backup incase it rains or is too windy. The last game is the longest. I feel a tad bit lazy to explain but... I guess I'll just do it. Bear with me :) I know this is getting long.

The last game requires people in teams of 5 to run with that lantern to a designated location. Only the first two teams will qualify to the next round. There will be 5 mooncake on two tables, one table for each team. Only one of the mooncakes has a paper inside. So you know, it's like 20% chance. If they get it, they must answer the riddle in the paper before they can proceed.

Then they will run an obstacle course that we will set on that day. We probably will obstruct the contestants too :) So anyway, the treasure will be there at the end of the line. Phew :)

So later, Michelle and Chaman went on to talk about Prom Night (Yeah~) Were going to start selling tickets by next week. The first two weeks of sales, the tickets are priced atRM110. These are for the early birds. After that the tickets will be priced at RM150.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Can save RM40 you know. And only limited to the first 150 tickets.

Okay, so when we got to our respective teams to discuss stuff about Prom Night, Daniel asked me about the games. So after some talk, we decided to discuss the games there with everyone.

So since I wrote a review about the games, I went up to talk about it.

The four games are in the posts 'Let the games Begin', 'Honey if you love me please Smile :D' and 'Mercy Chaman' Hoho.

-Cinderella Game

When I explained this game I showed them my shoe. To explain clearly :) It flew off my feet when I took it out (Too tight..) Why is this important? You'll see at the end of the post. (I am so gonna kill you Leon...)

My Adidas Shoe :D

-Honey if you love me Please Smile :D

-Imitation

-Rubber Band Game

And we got two new suggestions :

-Bongo-bongo

-Glam-o-rous

I will review the two new games another time :)

Please look forward to it :)

So after the meeting, I walked out of the school and headed home (Centrepoint Hostel)

On the road opposite of the bus stop, I met Leon, Hui Shan, Yong Jian and Louis.

Leon, who was awed and inspired by my taking out of my shoe, decided to launch his slippers at my face =.=

It hit me squarely in the forehead. I stumbled and was stunned.

You see the red mark? It's proof !

According to Leon, he didn't mean to do it, and he wanted to retract his leg but didn't do it in time before the slipper was launched for explosion.

Danny : Hey all!! :D

Leon : Target Acquired. Launching 3...2...1... *SHIUUUU*

Danny : Watcha all do- *PONG* *Twists body and falls to the floor*

Leon : Heuston, we have a problem :D

Imagine taking a big shoe from Leon in the head :) Ok lar... It was a slipper :D And I gotta give you credit. You should be a football player ya know. You might be famous someday. Use your skill to attack goalkeepers of opposing teams. AHAHA they all sure pay good money to use you :D

Edit : I might have exaggerated abit :)

Till next time then :)

noreply@blogger.com (Leon) — Tue, 02 Sep 2008 15:42:00 +0000

Hello everyone, i am pretty sure Danny had already posted about me... considering that my picture were taken without my permission... Anyway!!!! Here is the bottomline - i got involved in the merdeka marching, and I swear to everyone, This will be the last time I did something so patriotic... I will not march for the next time, not at all, I won't go anymore, not in my lifetime now...

Hmmmm... All those involved will probably think the same thing as I do!

The timeline is kinda messy if you asked me because they requested us to go there so early in the morning and yet the marching won't take place after a few hour... which is around 9.00am...

hmm.... teh nerds....

The monash uni Students...

All of those who were involved in the marching have to wake up around 5.00am because we have to gather at the college where our college's van will send us there for Free(^o^) but overall... Its a painful experience...

HMM... guess what department this is???

Hmm... I dunno...

hmmm....

Lets see... we see many other department and corporation around malaysia representing themselves in the name of Malaysia... Well i won't talk much but instead!!! I SHALL LET THE PICTURE DO THE TALKING FOR ME!! as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words!
