Budget perfume!

Most of my perfumes are budget and so is this one. Stripes and squares was bought for a mere 1.60 and contains a royal amount of 100 ml. I didn't smell it before buying it, I just grabbed the first pink perfume box that I saw. I bought this one at the action

The perfume is a nice shade of light pink and the bottle is tall and thin. I love the design of this bottle. It is very minimal yet beautiful. What I can say about this perfume is that it has a semi-sweet but very strong smell, it is perfect for spring. Other people describe this similar to a perfume of Burberry yet I never smelled burberry so I have idea.

While my other budget perfumes don't smell so strong during this day I can faintly smell this one at the end of the day. I am a fan!

Smell is of coarse very personal, I love this smell while others might think it stinks. So take my advise and go to your nearest action and smell this one. You might love it!

Just a small tip today! I got this adorable phone hanger in the mail. I ordered it from eBay for a euro. This plastic toy is made to look like a kitty paw...Click read more to hear what it does.

As you can it has a battery slot and a speaker on the backside. All you smart people will of coarse make it connection that it makes sound! Now when you click the soft squishy part you will hear a sound.

What do you think? I think it is an adorable gift to give just for fun.

Baked eye shadow from Max!

A baked eye shadow was something that I didn't have in my collection. I also never felt the need because I love my 88 pallet. While I normally wear a variety of eye shadow colors I never felt the need to go for brown shades. Yet while walking in the action I noticed a cheap pallet for only 1.28 euro and I quick snatched one. This one is called brown and beige, read more for swatches and more pictures.

I have to admit that I actually like the design of this eye shadow but they could have left the brush behind. The quad opens smoothly but doesn't seem to close really good I wouldn't advice to take this one with you in a bag because it doesn't seem that strong.

I like the fact that it are little balls, it looks nice. I am all for design over functionality. I cant say that this way it gives less or more mess in your pallet I find the balls easy to work with. Now this pallet has four colors and to be honest I didn't expect much from the white cause I have a childhood trauma finding the perfect white.

Now as you might know baked eye shadows can be used wet or dry. So when I ripped this out of the cardboard I directly checked how it was dry. (because I had the illusion it would also be very pigmented dry) as you can see in the swatches it isn't very pigmented dry. But then when I dipped my brush in the water I got what I wanted. I fell in love with the white and bronze. It is a very nice pallet to use wet.

D is dry of coarse and W is wet.

Now I want to end this with the fact that I will be going back to check for other colors. The way it looks wet is very nice and especially for so cheap.

Tangle Teezer part two

So part two of the tangle teezer review. I have been using my tt for over a month now. I wanted to really test this out before screaming how amazing it is because normally when I get a new 'toy' I am so in love and after a week it ends up in the back of my closet. so what do I think of it? So to start my review I have to admit a lot of people call my brush a cheap plastic child toy. My sister tough it was a horrible pink mess that would never come near her hair. The shape of this brush is advertised as ergonomic, now I am studying to become an occopational therapist and let me state this it is not very ergonomic in my eyes you need to hold it tight or ells it will slip out your hand and it doesn't sit in a relaxed position. Also on the subject of the design and shape it doesn't have a handle or strap, and it flew out of my hands a few times. I do believe it is something you have to get used to, nowadays it doesn't slip out my hand anymore but I had to practice.

As you can see the brush has different length teeth (Do take note not to put it the way I did in the above picture) I believe that is why the brush works the way it works. My hair has knots from time to time and with this amazing brush it gets out without me pulling out almost all my hair. It is not a miracle where the knot vanishes with one brushstroke but after a few times going trough it the knot is gone and it leaves your hair very nice. Now my sister has lower back length hair and brushing knots out is hell for her. Since she tried it once with this brush she decided to 'steal' my brush everyday. This brush is something you need to try for yourself, you will be amazed!

What I also want to add is the fact that it seems like I have less hair to clean from my brush while I normally pull out a load of hairs this brush doesn't. Now I also want to share is how to clean this, I normally pull the hairs of it with my hands but recently I noticed that if I use a needle [or other pointy subject] I can easy lift the hairs from the brush.

My verdict is that this brush does cost a bit, yet it is something I use everyday.
I replaced my normal brush and I use it everyday.
It is a lot better for your hair then a normal brush for your hair.
It is a very good investment!

Tangle Teezer: A first look

I want to start this article with the fact that it is just a first look. I have been testing the Tangle Teezer for a few weeks and I want to show it in action so that will be posted an other day when my hair is actually tangled up and I can make a nice video to show how it works and some detail pictures. I will tell you where to get this wonder, what it promises and a bit about packaging. Tomorrow a article with come about the brush and what I think of it.

So the Tangle Teezer after a long debate I ordered mine from Asos for €13.98 but I also saw this one in Germany for €15.00 so it is always good to check where you can get it cheapest. I got the original model but there is a compact for travel use. There is a wide range for colors and Asos carries pink and black, after a small debate I went for the hot pink wonder which I will show you. Now the Tangle Teezer makes some promises.

A full explanation and tips are included in a little booklet that is included with the Tangle Teezer. I have to admit that the little booklet gives it a more expensive feel. It has a nice design and cute illustrations. It also gives some information how to clean your brush and what makes the Tangle Teezer so special. also as you can see it gives some information about the man who designed this brush, but I shamefully have to admit I cared very little about that side. Fun note is that my hair is the same length as the blonde illustration and that I am also a blonde. I tough that was rather funny.

So now I raised everybody there explanation yet I gave nothing about the product. I talked design and package but not how it works. I actually have a follow up article after this one where I will show you the brush and how it works. I decided against making one big article because it would be a long long read. I will end this with the package shot and soon I will take about this brush.

Today I am going to show you a few swatches of my new favorite topper. It was kind of hard to take a picture of but I tried my best. It has a scale affect or flakkies in a few colors. This polish looks bland and blah when you see it in the store yet layered over a darker polish you hit the jackpot. Read more for a few swatches

I layered two layers over P2 black nail polish. I did this because I wanted a lot of sparkle but it also gives a nice sparkle when you use one coat.
It has green till orange shades depending on the light.

For only 1.79 euro it is rather budged proof. And I am thinking about buying a few more as back-up

I snatched my new favorite shoes for a mere 21 euro's. I cant wait till summer, also I am aiming my credit card toward some belts from this collection. Balea dry shampoo. I have been raving about wanting this one for a while! I love the green/teal package and neat design of this yet I wondered how it would work. I was satisfied with my old dry shampoo but I like testing out new things, So want to read my opinion? Read more!

So this lovely packaged dry shampoo is from the trend it up line where I already reviewed the hairspray and mouse here. So I bought this one in Germany for a rather cheap price that I cant remember, but I promise it wont make you poor!

So it looks like a normal spray can, I personally think it looks like you can spray graffiti from it. The can has 200ML which is rather tiny for dry shampoo's in my opinion. But the amazing design of the package makes up for it also you can toss this in your bag seeing it wont take up much room.

So what does Balea say about there own product? Excuse the shabby translation I use a translator from German to English.

Also it promises to eliminate party smells and provides a fresh smelling hair that is perfect for styling. And as all other dry shampoos it cleans without water.

So to put this product to the test I used it on my greasy unwashed hair. The first thing you will notice is the sound it makes it makes a rather hard sound yet all dry shampoo's I used so far did this. The next thing that hits you is the smell, it smell clean. I have a hard time placing this smell it just smells clean. Now the thing normally with dry shampoo's is that if you spray to close or to long on one place you get a white powdery layer that looks horrible on darker hair. I have to admit with my white hair I did use it in the pas to cover my roots. Now while spraying close to my head on one spot I did notice something, It didn't give a white powder! It is transparent which I assume is a large selling point for darker haired girls.

This spray also give a tad of volume and does make my hair feel cleaner. The only downside is that it goes empty rather fast but for the price you can always buy a few. I am a fan for the cleanness it gives and my darker haired mother also likes to use it. Good job Balea!

Want clean hair without a while powder layer? Get this one.

This is my normal fast everyday look. Just a simple brown eye with a winged liner. I am one of those people who wears a wing every day because I got tiny tiny eyes. Do not mind the wonky line with the eyeliner..I just noticed that.

Herbal Essence Smooth and Soft

Excuse the German text of the product seeing I bought this in the sale in Germany. For the English speaking people this is Herbal Essence Smooth and Soft. To be honest I my German is horrible and I didn't even know what this mask was for. The fact that it was from Herbal put me over the moon and the bright orange package made me notice it. Read more for my review!

I always like to start with what Herbal has to say about there own product.

My rich care formula with mandarin extracts and beads beautiful protected you from unmanageable hair. I am the third step towards irresistible suppleness and silky-soft hair. In just 1 minute, I suggest unruly hair into the flight, and will be washed out. Best way to use my once a week.

So what do I have to say about this decent sized 200ML pot of orange? I am a regular user of hair masks seeing my bleached locks need care. So before this one I used many many others and I surely can compare them but that is later. To start with the package, I already mentioned the eye-burning beautiful package. I love the label and the design they put into it but have the rounded top. While standing in the shower I had a hard time trying to open it. I would have preferred some more grip.

But like they say package is one thing but the inside is more important. When opening I got greeted by a nice orange ice cream smell. The smell is also very nice while you are waiting for this mask to do the work. It only takes one minute which is a plus! Also the color of the mask make me want to eat it, it looks so yummy. But take note that this is not to eat but for your hair.

So after slapping a good amount of this light pink orange smelling goo I waited for a bit longer then a minute. A pro of this product that it is rather firm, there is nothing I hate more then a hair mask that runs of your hair or fingers. The texture is just the way I like it and you can pile it on your head and it keeps your hair firm in a bun. (At least I always make a bun while applying a hair-mask) So after washing out my hair I pulled my Tangle Teezer (more about this later) trough it and surprise! it went very smoothly. I like the fact that it does what it promises. The downside of this product is that it makes my hair very heavy, so I don't use it that much. When comparing it to other used hair masks that I loved this one doesn't give the care that my hair needs and leaves my hair a tad static.

Still it is a good smelling decent priced (round 5 euro) hair mask that leaves your hair smelling nice and tangle free. I always ask myself when using a new product if I would use it again, I might for the summer when I want nice fruity smelling hair.

Experimenting with pink and purple eye shadow at night. I still haven't gotten the hang of taking pictures of my eyes but I am a believer that I will learn some day. So drag race, Denna what are you blogging about? RuPaul's Drag Race is my new favorite tv show to follow (online) and I am hooked. You can compare it slightly with project runway and next top model. Fabouless queens battle it out on runway, photo shoots and if they are in the bottom two they have to lip-sync for there life. Stunning themes and beauty got me hooked. I believe that many of these Fab Queens can do there make-up better then me. All hosted by the lovely RuPaul.

As mentioned before I am watching Season 4 because this season is currently in progress and more easy to find. I am debating to buy the other seasons on dvd. I am going to share some of my favorite two contestants

Kenya Michaels is in my eyes a front runner because she looks really like a girl. She is adorible and small in size. My favorite look till date is this pink little number with blonde hair. Stunning! While Kenya looks amazing she is not my favorite, Sharon Needles is. After a small debate I decided not to post a picture of here hear because it might be a bit shocking cause she does horror very good. Fake blood and contacts all the way, I do believe she will win this season.

Also some individual outfits that I adore!

How amazing is this dress. It holographic and gives out a very classy look.

While miss Needles normally does creepy this look gives of a very rock vibe. Those bracelets need to be mine some day and that collar! Love Love Love.

Again Chad Michaels. The eye make-up is stunning while I am not a fan of the brows. In a weird way it kind of looks like Paris Hilton.

The dress is very cute and the theme I like. I am not a fan of the hair but the dress can rest in my closet if it wants to.

Sadly enough if I had this outfit I would rock this on a daily bases.

Now I did mention something about lip sync for there lives right? It kind of looks like this:It's a show that you will love or hate!

Carnaval! and my cheap hipster costume

A filler article while I am off spending Carnaval, I mean it silly. Seeing I currently didn't have to time to whip up an nice article I am going to post a semi outfit post. Semi because you cant see my outfit. Carnaval is a time to dress up. It is my Halloween cause in Holland we don't celebrate Halloween. Yet this year I am saving up and did not want to spend atleast 30 euro's on a costume. So I made do with the things I had. I went hipster...sort of..

So I started of like I normally look..but with curls cause curls make everything better. Winged liner and a load of white eye shadow. Do check out the cat creeping behind me. Now you only need a cap and glasses and your costume is done.

Also pulling silly expressions is a must. And look at how my glasses reflect my computer. Keep in mind always look up like you see the light. Cheapest costume I ever owned. The glasses are my real glasses and the cap was one euro.

So anybody ells celebrating carnival?
