It's the Minkster, and I'm ridin' high! Some of my most favoritest people and best friends in the whole wide world, Ellen and Jeff, went to the Pro-Bowl in Hawaii -- and invited the Mink!!

WhoooHoooo!! Can you believe it? I was turning cartwheels, riding Minkey Mama's cat, raiding the wine cooler and screeching for 2 whole days when Minkey Mama told me about my special invitation. She said it sounded like a Yoko Ono concert around there.

I've been to Hawaii before with them, cos they take me EVERYwhere they go, but this was extra, extra special that they would think to take the Mink to something like this. YES!! We partied on the plane, we partied the first day we got there (there were all day/all nite parties everywhere), and I don't think any of us slept the night before. I had a special NFL pass, so I think they thought I was 18 even though I'm only 12" tall, so they let me drink. Whoooopeeeeee!

The game was actually funny in a few parts. In one, all those big and famous football players were down there in a big pile, and arms and legs and players were flying everywhere and so was the ball, and the guy who dropped it ended up with it the last time it flew out! HeeeeeHeeeee!! Then one guy made a touchdown just laying down there at the goal line. Hey, the Mink wants to do that career if that's all there is to it!

Ellen was going to try to get a pic of me with some of those giant football players, but she couldn't get close enough. She's a brazen lady though, and God knows she tried! hehe I wanted to climb on everyones' seats and heads to get down there to the players, but Ellen threatened me with 100 time outs if I even thought about doing that. So I plopped down in Jeff's lap and pouted and fussed about when was it going to start???

Other than that, I only got in trouble one other time when I started eating peanuts off the floor of the stadium. Ellen said I was gonna get sick and miss the game if I didn't stop. Phooey. She's good at spoiling my fun sometimes. I love her, but she can be a big ole pain in the butt.

We managed to squeeze in a little sight-seeing, snorkeling, and para-sailing. Weeeeeeee! So much fun. Especially the para-sailing! Hawaii is beautiful, but you ain't seen nothin' until you've floated above it all with a bird's eye view.

Speaking of birds, I wasn't nervous about being so high, but I was VERY nervous about the birds pooping all over us. We were lambs to the slaughter sitting right under them all. But I felt so special floating around up there with Ellen and Jeff. They include me in EVERYthing.

Finally, after the game and sight-seeing and fun and sun, it was time to leave Hawaii. I thought Ellen was going to start blubbering, she loves it so much there, but she finally gave in and we all got on the plane. Can't wait for the next trip with them. They're fun even if you're going to the library with em!

Minkey's Dream-Visiting Santa at the North Pole!

Minkey was so excited about seeing the real Santa Claus in person, that he misbehaved for 8 full days in Alaska. Of course, that caused his poor friend Charlene, to chase him all over the state, so we're not sure he'll be taking any more trips with Charlene. He probably burned her out with his shenanigans.

ANYway, Minkey rode more public transport than he had on any other trip. First he rode a passenger plane, and then when he got to Alaska, he rode a tour boat, a seaplane, and a train. He had special places on all of them (like elevated baby seats so he could see better, etc.). And Charlene set him up in a special child type seat for the train. He felt just just soooooo special.

The first place we traveled was from Anchorage through Denali National Park and all the way to Fairbanks, which is about 440 miles. That's like a whole trip in itself! We did that part of the trip in a little car, and Minkey was terrified a moose would stop all over us in that tiny tin can because we saw one tromping around in a downtown street in one of the cities we went through, and MAN they are HUGE with legs as tall as a building!

Then the next morning, we got on a tour bus about the same time the chickens get up (like 5 a.m.) to go to the Arctic Circle. The Mink was soooooo sleepy, he konked out on the bus and snorted and snored in his sleep til we got to Joy, Alaska. I think Charlene was embarrassed at all the noise I was making, cos when I woke up, Charlene had a blankie on top of me looking all around to see who all had heard all the rukus!

We stopped at the trading post in Joy on our way to the Arctic Circle and that was pretty cool. Minkey felt like a wilderness critter, just like Grizzly Adams or guys like that. I'm really happy we didn't see any Grizzlies though, because the Mink has seen stuffed ones, and they are a zillion, katrillon feet tall and almost as wide with teeth taller than the Minkster. YIKES!!!! Very scary.

Charlene took some pics of me and her at the Arctic Circle, then got on a prop plane and flew back to Fairbanks (about 350 miles). This is where we went to Santa's House and took some more pics while we were telling Santie what we wanted for Christmas.

In one pic inside Santa's house, Minkey Mama had to put a circle around me in the pic cos I was swinging from the rafters above Santa. I was so excited about being there, Charlene had a hard time getting me to let Santa hold me in his lap so I could tell him what I wanted. It was borderline whether I'd get anything but sticks because I had done some pretty bad things on several cruises this last year.

After that, we travelled back down to Anchorage and caught a train to Seward so he could see the glaciers and take a day cruise on a little boat to see some marine wildlife. We actually saw some ginormous humpback whales. They came up and then dove back down and we were all afraid their HUGE tails would whip the boat out of the water and us with it like little stick dolls.
SCARY!! Oooooooooooo.

There was one pic where I was standing on a Glacier, and you can see how terrible Minkey's hair looked there! It was curling and waving and frizzing so much, you could hardly tell it was the Gorgeous Hunk of Minkey that I am! hehe

Well, that's about it for now. DON'T FORGET TO WATCH THE SLIDESHOW. This is one of the most beautiful states in the whole world and you'll miss a lot if you don't see it!

I have to go home and pack for San Francisco now. I'm going there with a guy Faisal and his friend Hank, coming home, and going again with a chick named Robin Nicholas. They're both crazy and fun people, so Minkey cannot wait!!

Minkey Goes on Back-to-Back Trips to San Francisco!

Hey, it's Minkey here, and I am in LOVE with California! It is so exciting that it can keep even a high-energy little red monkey like me busy and zipping around for YEARS.
This trip was great, cos it was a "guy" trip. And party guys at that! No girlies to worry about their hair blowing or stopping every 10 minutes to go to the bathroom, etc. etc. Just the Mink, Faisal, and his bud Hank.I thought it was going to be only San Francisco, but we did Hollywood too, and it rocked! We went partying downtown night, and it was lit up like Vegas almost! Just such a cool and fun place.

First, we went and checked out ritzy Beverly Hills. I don't know why, but Faisal and Hank refused to get me some new threads there. Hmmm ... that wasn't very generous of them. They didn't buy me ONE souvenir! Blah.

Then we had to go to Graumann's Theater where the stars get their hand and footprints on the sidewalk. I was looking for a wet cement block for the Mink's prints, but I guess they forgot I was coming.
Next, we went to Graumann's Egyptian Theatre, and it was WAY cool. I was afraid a mummy was going to come out and chase me, so I didn't want to stay there too long.

Of course, we just had to go to the famous Madame Tussaud's to see all of the wax dummies there. They were so real-looking, some of them scared Minkey. And then Hank and Faisal were making fools of themselves acting like they were talking and dancing with dummies!! lol They just WISH they were talking to those stars.
Next, we went cruisin' down Mulhollan Drive in the Hollywood Hills and got each other's pics with the famous Hollywood sign behind us. The Mink has been there once before with some really good friends and travel buds, Ellen and Jeff. We got some good distant shots there too, of downtown Los Angeles.
We rented a car and drove all up and down Highway One, which is one of the most beautiful drives in the world. There were tunnels we went through, and roads that felt like you were going to sail out into the ocean. I hate to admit it, but the Minkster peed his pants on one road it was so scary. There's lots of rocky hills all around, too, but they were fun cos I could climb all over them.
In San Francisco, we took a boat ride around the bay and saw Alcatraz Island. I was terrified Faisal was going to drop me off there and send me 'down the river' forever for all the bad things I do when I travel (like the minkey chica and baby I brought back from Hawaii). MinkeyMama calls me a womanizer, a lush, a smoker, a gambler, and a jello-shot fiend.

Anyway, I hid from the guys on the boat so they couldn't drop me off at Alcatraz. Oh yeah, and San Francisco looked really cool from the boat with that big pointy building and houses and things built all up and down the hills.
Before we left, we went to the Golden Gate Bridge and the beach there, and to Golden Gate Park and Crissy Field. Then we drove by Danielle Steel's humongous mansion. It had big ole iron gates like the ones the Queen has on her castle in Scotland (where the Scottish lady who took me stuck a pointy fence post up my butt to get a pic!) Sheesh. Minkey was humiliated hanging there like that.
Before driving on down Highway One around Monterey and all those gorgeous places, we went across the Golden Gate and across the bay to downtown Sausalito. It was a pretty interesting place, but not nearly as pretty as San Francisco.

And one last thing ... everybody has to risk the Mink's life on their rips trying to get a good pic. Faisal held me up in front of the bridge, and it was like 60 mph winds (as youcan see by my poor hair in the pics), and he had a hard time hanging on to me. YIKES! I know there's a lot of sharks in the bay who would just love a little tidbit like Minkey for a snack, so I started sniffling and whining til he put me safely back in his backpack.
After that, we went on that spectacular drive down Highway One. We ate at Bubba Gump's right over the water in Monterey. WAY cool. I looked for Forrest Gump to see if he had some candy for me, but he was no where in sight. So we left and went to the rocky beaches there in Monterey to look at the elephant seals.
Minkey never heard of elephant seals, but let me tell you they were GIGANTIC lazy things!! They barely moved, and when they did, they'd roll around and drag their fat carcasses a couple of inches and then plop down on another seal. It's good Minkey isn't a elephant seal, cos when one of em tried to sit on me, I'd kick his ass!

For a minute there, I thought Hank and Faisal were going to try to pose me on one of those ellie-fonts. I'd be flatter than a pancake if they rolled on me during the picture session! No thank you.
Well, that was it for THIS trip. A few days after I get back, I'm goin' back again with another friend from Minkey Mama's job ..... Robin Nicholas. But it's going to be a completey different trip. I'll get to meet her brother and some friends of hers there. Yipee!! Can't wait.
We're going to San Francisco again, but mainly, to Napa Valley and the Vineyards ...YES!!!!! Minkey's gonna get to taste a butt-load of wine. Don't know if I'll be able to type my blog after I go there. I plan on losing a few thousand brain cells 'tasting' (chugging) that lovely, delicate wine. hehe Then Robin said we'll go and see the historic Cannery Row, too, in Monterey.
WHAT A LIFE!! Minkey has to be the luckiest little guy in the whole wide world. Here's my secret ..... you have to weigh one ounce and be 12" tall and limber so you can stow away in peoples bags and back packs. That's it! Simple.
Well, guys, gotta run. We have to catch the plane back to Dallas so I can get ready to come back here!

Hey guys, here's Part II of my trips to San Francisco and Monterey, California. I had a great time and met Robin's family and friends and made some brand new friends here as well.

Robin was a lot of fun, but once, she made me mad enough to bite. She took me to the casino, but wouldn't let me pull the levers and all that and I was madder than a wet hen. And she ratted me out for getting cranky. Ptttttttttth. We went to Ghirardelli Square and to the famous choclate factory there, and the Mink just scarfed it down til I got sick. I throught it would make me feel better, but all it did was give me a tummy ache.

Anyway, Robin is a good writer, so she's going to tell you more about the trip:

"This was my first trip with Minkey, but (hopefully) not the last. He was a great traveling companion. He could get a little cranky when he was tired or bored but mostly we had a lot of fun together. He was a bit wild a time or two after too much wine but then he'd just pass out for a while and then be ready for the next stop.

We stayed with my brother Bruce and his wife Sheila in San Jose. They were great hosts and took us to Monterey/Cannery Row, Berkley, Napa Valley, Cache Creek Casino, San Francisco, and all over San Jose.

My brother seemed to get a kick out of taking Minkey's picture, posing him just right, and making sure we had good shots of him at various places.We drank a lot of good wine, ate a lot of terrific food, visited some great places, and spent time with family and old family friends. The Minkster made a great good luck charm for me at the casino. He wasn't allowed to play but he was with me for every spin. We got a few odd looks but we were on a roll so we didn't care.

To celebrate the unexpected boost in vacation funds at the casino, we were going to get matching tattoos, but Minkey chickened out at the last minute. Maybe I should have given him a glass of wine first...

All in all it was a great vacation and I'm glad Minkey was there to share it with me. He's welcome on any trip I take. Our first night in San Francisco, Minkey, me, and new friends to him -- Lance, Sheila and Bruce had a wonderful meal in a place called Little Italy. The restaurant had the words "pizza institute" in it, so Minkey got upset because he thought they were going to teach him how to make a pizza himself. He wanted to toss it in the air and all that, but I can only imagine the mess we would have had!

Next day, we went to the Ballentine Vinyards in Napa Valley. The people there were really nice -- especially the hostess, Kym. She took a pic of Minkey for a new collage they're making for their wine-tasting room. Then afterwards, she got the vineyard owners (three generations) to pose for pictures with him as well. They were sort of dignified, so it wasn't an easy thing to do!

Some of the other pics you'll see are all of us at the Gargoyle Castle, the castle bridge and beautiful surrounding countryside. Minkey came very close to a tantrum when I kept hanging him from these huge chains near all the doorways of the castle.

From there, we drove down the spectacular Monterey Coast and went to the beaches and piers there before we went on to the historic Cannery Row.

I hope I get to go back to California again soon, and if we do, the Mink will go with me again. He absolutely LOVES that state!"

Ok, guys this is it! These two trips to the San Francisco area were just fabulous and great fun because Faisal, Robin and all my other new peeps were tons of fun to be around. I hope I get to go there again real soon. My energy's gone, so I have to go to bed now. Hope everyone has been having an awesome holiday season!

Subject: Minkey's 1st Day in Krakow - He's not Behaving!!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that after 24 hours intransit and 4 plane changes, Minkey and I finally made it to my motherland. Most flights were fine ... I even got two seats on the one to London. But the last plane had mechanical problems before take-off, which made me pretty nervous, but at that point I was so exhausted, I just passed out.

When I woke up, I was greeted by my mom, dad, and beautiful 75 degree weather! I already had some of Ula's cooking and visited lots of polish bakeries on my first day here -- in fact, I'm so full I can't fall asleep, so i decided to drop you guys a few lines. I hope you all are doing great and I'm looking forward to hearing from you

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well.

I've been spending lots of time with friends and traveling the country to visit my family. My mom and I have been trying to find time to sight-see as well. We visited a replica of an 18th century Polish town, toured the Jewish part of Krakow, and hiked the Tatra mountains. The weather is fabulous, so we get to do a lot of outdoor activities. I have a million pics, but I'll have to share them with you when I get back in 2 weeks.

My family and friends are desperately trying to find me a husband. I told them that while I love all of them and enjoy my time in Poland, I wouldn't move back unless I got proposed to by a prince of some sort. They're on a mission and don't seem to be giving up.

I got to catch up with all of my close friends from high school, but one lunch date just isn't enough. My schedule is really packed as I'm trying to spend as much time with everyone as I can.

I did get to go out and experience the Krakow night life as well. It's amazing! All the clubs/bars are in the basements of the Old Town. There are a bunch of foreigners here even if I didn't like to dance, I would be 100% happy just to people-watch. You see a lot of pretty wild characters out here. Everyone has their own individual style and embraces it. People don't judge, and let you be yourself.

I be also been trying to help my dad out with his household chores. He lives on the 5th floor of an old building, and he walks the stairs every day carrying groceries. I'm less than half his age, and it takes me 5 minutes to catch my breath once I make my way up there!

Oh, and shopping is to die for! My mom had to hide my money from me after my first trip to Krakow's Galleria. I am NOT allowed to go there any more. Everything is nice and fashionable, but very, very expensive.

Hey, it's Minkey again. As you can tell, we had a fabulous time, and were gone almost a month!

The trip was extremely interesting: Aneta's family and home life, her friends, Poland club scene, historic places in Poland, Krakow (town square, etc.), beautiful Polish landscapes, yummy Polish food (homemade and bakeries), and lots more.

My next trip is the NORTH POLE! I'm going there to see reindeer, the ididerad dog team (and new puppies), Alaskan scenery, etc. And last but not least ....THE MINKSTER IS MEETING THE REAL SANTA CLAUS in his own village!!
Yipppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I won't be able to settle down til I go.

Gotta run now. Need to get some new clothes.

Minkey Cruises to Haiti, Grand Caymen, Nassau The Bahamas & Jamaica

A guy at work named Rick Moyer took me with his girlfriend on a fabulous cruise to some places Minkey has never been.

We took a plane to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where we boarded the Celebrity Solstice to start our cruise. They took me everywhere they went on land when we docked, too, so that I didn't miss a thing! Rick's one of the most fun travel buds I've ever had.

Minkey likes to go with guys sometimes, cause they really understand me and the fact I like to take a swig of some hooch ever now and then. He bought me some really fancy cocktails BIGGER THAN ME if you look at all the pics!

We had a lot of fun on the ship. We ate like piggies, hung around at the pool and the pool BAR of course, heh heh ..... and they even let me sleep on their bed and lay out on the balcony to tan. Minkey turned a beautiful carrot-bronze color. A bronze God for the chicas to admire!

One of the places I've been before ... but not on land (the Grand Caymen Islands), had a place called HELL where I think he was maybe trying to leave the Minkster at first) until he got to know me and like me a little better. He even put me on the Devil's shoulder like I was his peep or something. YIKES!!! Minkey does NOT hang around with the Devil, so no calls or letters, please!

Then (whew!!) he took me back to the ship with them to finish the cruise!

We also went to Labadee, Haiti, a place the Mink has never been. That was cool. And then there was Nassau, the Bahamas. That's a really beautiful place ..... really colorful and fun!

We got to go to Jamaica, too, where I met one of my long-lost cousins. He called me "MON'". I'm not grown yet, so I don't know why he did that. He was kind of a chunky monkey. A lot taller and fatter than Minkey. Too many twinkies and bananas, I guess!

I hope Rick will take me again sometime with him. He did an awesome job on the pics and descriptions and everything, and then Minkey Mama sat on her a___ working on some other websites or something til I thought she'd never finish this!

But here we are ...... another amazing trip "in the bag"!! Thank you Rick!

Minkey Visits Ottawa, Canada

Wow! Was this ever a cool trip. The Minkster was the Star of the Show!

I went to stay with a friend and landscape customer of Minkey Mama's in Ottawa named Germaine. She spoke some sort of language Minkey didn't understand. It was real fancy, and my mom said it was French.

Germaine was shocked at how tiny I am when my little crate arrived at her house. Minkey mama put all these holes in it so I didn't arrive DEAD, but I'm surprised I was alive, cos those post men really throw stuff around! Minkey is a witness, because I was right there when they did it.

ANYway, I do photograph much larger than I am. It's because the Minkster is larger than life and has STAR Quality! hehe That's what Minkey mama says. I never brag, of course.

Germaine had some kids, so I got to hang out with all of them for over a month. They were lots of fun, and took me to a really special place called Parliament Hill.

Parliament Hill was very historic and had all sorts of cool buildings and beautiful old statues and things. Germaine made sure I got to pose at and on just about everything!

I hope she didn't climb too high on any of those statues, because they were really HUGE and she would have been risking her life. I bet lots of people were staring at her too, wondering what in the heck she was doing sticking a little red monkey on everything!

I posed with Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, several men who were part of Canada's history, and some bronze ladies having tea and stuff (I of course, had to sit in their big tea cups!).

I also got to see where the Canadian Mounties keep their horsies. Their gear and the colors of ther uniforms were so pretty. They like red in that country just like Americans do. They do the changing of the guard there just like in England.

They also have a huge, beautiful clock tower that reminded the Mink of Big Ben in London. It's at the Parliament Buildings and is called the Peace Tower. We saw their library too, and it's nothing like ours at home. It's really old and fancy and has a pointy top!

Like everyone who takes me on their trips, I got put in a few dangerous places. One was a tall, black iron gate overlooking Parliament. I think it may have been around the Alexandria Bridge which is the gateway to Quebec. Minkey Mama said since it's near Quebec, that's probably why Germaine speaks French.

The other dangerous place was a huge round thing called the Peace Flame that she laid me on. If they'd lit it when the Minkster was there, he would have had a tail missing. YIKES!!

Well, that's all I have to say ( and all I know ) about Ottawa. It's a very cool place, and everyone should take the time to go see it if they have a chance. Canada is so beautiful and green, Minkey just loves it there.

The Mink has to go now and get ready for a trip to the chiropractor with one of my peeps at work. They bend and crack your body in ways it's not supposed to go!

Minkey Goes on a Fall Color Train Ride in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas

Went with Minkey Mama in October to VanBuren, Arkansas for a Fall Train Ride through the Ozark Mountains. It was soooo beautiful, the Mink couldn't believe what he was seeing. Some of those pretty trees were the color of my fur!ome of the people on the train were laughing and having fun with Minkey, and one lady practically took me away from my mom she liked me so much. Her picture with me is up above.

We went through a scary rock tunnel, and when we came out, there was a train robber onboard! YIKES!! Minkey flew around trying to get out, but all the doors were shut and I was too short to reach the handles, so I sat back down. When he came through our car, I tried to stop him (that pic is above as well), but he threatened to put me in his money box and take me off the train, so I sat back down again and started to blubber.

When we got off, I finally calmed down, cos Minkey Mama took me shopping, which I love. She got me a new little black cowboy hat and all the shop owners wanted me to pose in their stores (see that on the slideshow).

We went into a honey shop where there was a wall of glass so you could see the bees making the honey you could buy in there. There's some pics of me in there, too. A real sweet little ole lady ran the shop and had for years. She asked to be on our blog.

The town the train was in was called VanBuren, and it had lots of cool buildings from the 1800's made into the shops as well as an old theatre and a bank that is HAUNTED!! The ghosties sometimes can be seen dancing on the second floor, and the former bank president still tries to work there so you can see him sometime too.

Last, we went to an old Civil War Graveyard, where Minkey posed on one of the tombs in honor of one of the unknown soldiers buried there.

Hey Mon! I had to stop travelling to tell you about this trip. It was a quick but fun one! My new friend Marjorie, who is herself from Jamaica, was going there to visit some friends, so she asked if I'd like to go. WOULD I?

To Jamaica. Are you kiddin' me? The Mink has been there a time or two, but it was combined with other cruises and things, so this was very special.

Don't get me wrong .... the cruises are always a blast and Minkey gets to see lots of pretty ladies in bikinis on the ship where they can't go anywhere. Ye Ha! Perfect for girl watching. And the Minkster is an Olympian at that!

But here, I got to meet several people who live and work in Jamaica, and that was really cool. My peep Marjorie, didn't want to put anyone out, so we stayed at a hotel .... a 5-Star Hotel! YES!! It was called The Gran Bahia Principe and it's known world-wide. The Mink was travellin' in the lap of luxury.

One of the coolest parts of the trip was when everyone went to Duns River Falls. That's the famous place (a few pics above) where everyone has to hold hands to climb the wet rocks to the top to frolick in the waterfalls.

Hey Everybody! Sorry it's taken so long to get this blog up. It's Minkey Mama's fault. She wouldn't get the lead out .. and wouldn't even let me type it in!! She said little minkies couldn't type or spell right. WITCH. She's being mean to me, so some of y'all need to call the SPCA and get some help for me.

ANYway, this really nice and cool guy from work over the Techies there -- Kent -- took me with him on a fishing trip with him and 8 other guys. I don't know their names cos Kent wasn't very nice to me and didn't introduce me to them, but one of them was his brother. He's the one in the slideshow that caught the "dinky" little fish and was posing with it and acting all proud like it was an 8' sailfish. HeeeeeHeeeee!

Kent said this girl who kind of ran things at the main "depot" there where the trip started, was 'more of a man that he was'! I was curious to see her then, so she's now in the slideshow pics. She was little and blonde and very pretty, so I wasn't sure if he was tellin' the Mink a big ole white one or what. He said she trapped tons of beavers, skinned em, ran trot lines, and all that manly man stuff.

WOW!!! A chick that's pretty and who does man things too? Minkey was impressed. I did stay well away from her though, cos I was scared she might skin little red minkies, too!! YIKES!!

MY trip didn't start right away, cos Kent left me in the stupid, smelly fishing box with all the worms and scary sharp hooks and all that. The Minkster was FURIOUS when he finally took me out, and when he wasn't looking, I put some of those worms in his shorts and stuff. Hope you enjoyed those slimy little disgusting things wiggling around in there, Kent. LOL! LOL!~

When I settled down, I went with em in the boat and Kent let me drive it to help calm me down. It was a little boat, so this time I didn't hit anything like I've done before. In Cabo where I went with my girl Debbie Gibby, I took out a couple of boulders near the shore. Oppsey. Who knew a little monkey could change the landscape of Cabo San Lucas? LMAO!

One of the guys at the cabin who stayed there a lot, built some of THE coolest stuff! And all those things are in the slideshow you can see by clicking in the title area above. He built a boat (altho I think he messed that one up cos it had holes in it and water was coming up in the bottom).

He also built a log lamp and bench outside, a desk, and tons of other stuff. He had the coolest chandelier the Minkey had ever seen. It was wood, but looked like Antler's horns! I swung all over that thang when everyone was asleep. Hehe

Here is some more background on the trip from Kent himself sent to Minkey Mama:

"Hey Sharon,

Your little buddy Minky and 9 other guys flew to International Falls, MN and crossed the border into Canada from there. We had to smuggle him in because he evidently did not have his passport with him. We told him to bring it, but obviously his listening skills need improvement. (That wasn't nice ... Bite me, Kent!).

Although I will say he has excellent grooming skills. (You're forgiven now, I guess).

Well, as luck would have it, our car was pulled over for a vehicle inspection at the border. I was certain they were going to discover him hiding under the seat. Soon enough, we had a German Shepherd sniffing around. I was sure the dog would sniff him out, but he was suddenly distracted by the car next to us and started barking uncontrollably.

Border patrol quickly surrounded the car and in a detailed search uncovered a sizable stash of cocaine being smuggled into the country.

The agents were so caught up in the chaos that ensued, we just drove away. Whew! (Sounds like I almost got eaten by a German Shepherd ... Ye Gads and Little Fishes!).

From there, we drove to what is considered Northwest Ontario or the “North Woods”. We stopped at Nestor Falls at a fishing lodge called “Tinker’s. (That's where the pretty girl was so the Mink got to see her).

From there we boarded something like a 1949 Beaver float plane (pic included in the slideshow) and flew to Lake Kairiskons which is the only way in and out. We spent a week fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, and Smallmouth Bass. Fishing was great, and weather was great.

I probably would have taken more pictures of Minky, but I m afraid you didn’t tell me everything I needed to know about travelling with this little guy (that's right, Kent, blame Minkey Mama for everything! Turkey!!).

Apparently, he seems to be a bit of a “Lush”! (Hey!! I represent that remark!). He spent a great deal of time drinking our beer and several times I caught him sneaking a drink of our Crown Royal. Pictures would have only embarrassed him further (Yeah, whatEVER).

But he was funny. As a matter of fact, he has been invited back next time. If he decides to join in, he needs to bring “beer money” and I promise more pics. (See, he won't even share his beer unless MINKEY PAYS HIS OWN WAY!! I'm appalled because my little body doesn't hold THAT much hooch!).

Okay ... the Mink is back now to say bye-bye. Even though Kent did a few things that ruffled the Mink's fur, he is still a very nice and fun guy, so I've forgiven him and will go with him there again ... prob next year ... AS LONG AS he doesn't lock me in the fishing box again.

This was one crazy trip! The Minkster went with one of his most favoritest girls, Dana, to the Texas Hill Country and what we in Texas call Germantown to meet up with a group of high school classmates that haven't been together for 30 years! We rode with Paige (also one of the school mates) and her dog Emma so the Minkster would have some animal company. We were going to celebrate Sharon Jasper's birthday. She's one of Dana's buds and she's really sweet and pretty.

We stayed at the family home of Mike Johnson and it was one of Minkey's fav places cos it was all cozy like a cottage in the woods with a ton of HUGE trees. It was a bed and breakfast, Dana called it.

ANYway, all the girlies fawned all over me and held me and wanted to pose with me. Two of em that had several pics made with me were Rachel Broussard (a Cajun friend of Sharon's from Louisiana) and Sharon (the birthday girl) WhoooooHooooooo! The Minkster liked that a lot.

I even got to party with em and hang from a guitar when one of the guys was singin' and playin'. His name was Cody Jasper (Sharon Jasper's nephew), and he may be going on a gig soon to back up the famous band Boston! Don't forget .... you can't miss these pics in the slideshow!! Set it where you can read my comments on the pics, too, or you'll miss some of the fun.

We went to New Braunfels and Gruene, two of the most well-known German towns in Texas. New Braunfels is known as one of the best places to go toooooobin, and boy, is it ever. WAY cool place. On the way there, you'll see German bakeries, restaurants, sausage factories, beer halls, and some of the coolest little towns you'll ever see.

Gruene is built right on the Guadalupe river, and Minkey Mama and me used to go to the Grist Mill there with her family just about every year. It's really an old mill and a great place to get steaks and eat outside above the river. The town is pretty awesome, too. It has a really old bar and dancehall/theater, and lots of famous people, especially C&W bands, have performed there, including John Travolta (he did "Michael" where he played an angel).

Then we all headed for the Comal River where this huge gang of wild and crazy people jumped in the water with their big ole toobs and floated down the river with some beer coolers. Minkey got to ride in the beer cooler part of the way, but they took me out cos it was pretty obvious all the beer would be gone if the Minkster stayed there very long! Bahhhhh Humbug. They found me out. Hmmmmmmm. That's ok. The Mink knows lots of sneaky ways to get at the hooch!

I did get pretty trashed before the trip was over, so maybe they had something there. (You need to look at the slideshow so you can see all the junk Minkey was FORCED to take into his innocent little body). Example: they gave me jello, and I thought it was just childrens' lime jell in a little cup. WRONG!!!! It was jello 'shots' and I got so wasted, I ended up with my head in the toilet that whole night!! BAD humans. Exploiting such an innocent little red monkey like that.

And then when I was ripped, some of them posed me in some not very nice positions. SHAME. I think the ones doing that were Karl and Cat. They're probably the two wildest ones in the group! Karl is really funny and I liked him a lot even though he did take advantage of the Minkster at his most vulnerable. Snifff....snifff......Waaaaaaa!

All in all, though it was good times, and I was glad to meet so many of Dana's friends all in one place. Hopefully, I'll get to go and hang out with them again sometime in the future.

Gotta run now and get all packed up for my next trip. I'm going to Canada on a fishing trip with one of the guys who takes care of all the techy equipment at work. His name is Kent, and he's a really nice and fun guy, so the Minkster can't wait!! I already got my fishin' pole and hat bought and ready to go!

SINGAPORE ..... WOW!!!!!

I've been so excited about this trip, Minkey Mama had to put me in my travelling crate to calm me down several nights in a row.

One of the techies at her company took me on a business trip with him (I think they also might be called "Geeks"). Oppsey ... calling him a Geek may cost me a trip, but not the one to Singapore. It's too late! I've already been there, heh, heh.

I thought I was going to meet all the people from the company's Singapore office. But oh, noooooooooo. I think Jeff was ashamed of me because he kept me locked up in his room several nights, which made the Mink very angry. Hey Jeff, you should check a few of your shirts for holes at the bottom seam. HeeeeeeHeeeeeee! Can I help it if I was bored in the room while you were out galavanting around all Singapore without me all day and night?

Anyway, FINALLY, he took me out on the town with him (even though it may have been on the way to the airport on his way out), and we went and rode the tallest ferris wheel in the whole wide world!! The Mink went CRAZY!! It was soooooooooo fun and soooooooooooo high. Higher than any tree could possibly go. It had little cars on it that were closed in glass, or I might have risen to the challenge to climb to the top of it. I think Jeff probably would have let me do it too, because he was pretty oblivious to where I was most of the time. Just like a guy.

Sorry Jeff, I don't mean to be an evil little red monkey, but I rag on everyone I travel with soon or later. Just can't help myself. I think it's one of those obsessive compulsive thangs. hehe

Oh yeah, speaking of raggin' on you ..... I noticed there were like at least THREE pics of a waitress in there. I think maybe Jeff thought she was really pretty since there were so many pics of her. Maybe he had a little bit of a crush on her. lol

I was jealous of her in one pic, cos she was in the mall getting on one of those 2-wheel stand-up riding thingys that look like dollys. I think they're called Segways, and the Minkster wanted to drive one, but I didn't get to do that either.

Whatever you do, don't miss the slide show on this one. This is a very hip, trendy, and colorful town. And at night, the lights here are BEAUTIFUL. Even their food is really pretty and colorful. Some of it the Minkster wouldn't know what to do with, but it was pretty anyway! There are these giant spikey green thangs on a stick that smelled kind of like feet and the Mink screamed every time those were around cos he thought Jeff would make him eat one.

Minkey has to go now. He's got to get ready to go to Ottawa, Canada.

Grand Caymen, Jamaica & Cozumel with 3 Wild Travel Chica Peeps!!

OK, as you all know, the Minkster has been on many, many party cruises. He LIVES to party. However, this was the King Bee of em all! I went with 3 of my favorite travel peeps -- Dana, Stella & Paula to 3 different party cruise locations, and did we ever get down! WhooooooooHoooooooo Chicas!

We started partying before we ever got on the boat. We were in a hotel waiting for our "ship to come in" lol .... and they made me gamble before the ball even started rolling.

We played Farkle, that game everyone plays on Facebook, only it was for $$$. The Mink only travels with a tiny bit of money in his little black travel bag, and they won it all from me before the trip even began! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

That's ok ... I have some sharp little teeth, and they know it, so they didn't take advantage of me the rest of the trip. (Darn ... I wanted them to take advantage of me ... heh heh).

I met tons and tons of new friends though, cos Dana and Stella would get completely ripped and take me EVERYwhere to mix with everyone. And they were brazen little hussies, let me tell you. They even went to the "Appleton Rum Estate" in Jamaica so they could try to get at those giant barrels of rum, but they could only use glasses to drink.

That's ok, though, cos they let the Mink have his share, too, during the whole trip. The first place we went was to Jamaica. There's some pics in the slideshow of the old way to make rum ... with a donkey turning a little barrell of sugarcane to make the molasses that goes in the rum. It's a SUGAR high... not a boozey one, hehe! Then we went to a rum cake factory, too. Bet they never do that again. With all that sugar, the Minkster was pinging off every tree and every wall in sight! hehe

Paula was doing a "zip line" while everyone else was at the rum estate. I wanted to do that too, but between booze and zip line? Nah. The Mink knows how to "zip" around without some silly line!

Then we went to Grand Caymen Island and were supposed to go pet sting rays, but the water was all murky, and you wouldn't want to reach in to pet one of those thangs and not know where that big ole tail stinger is. It'd be Fried Minkey for sure!

So instead, we went to a sea turtle farm! The Mink liked that, cos he likes to visit with other animals on his trips. These were baby turtles though, thank goodness, because in Hawaii, a GIANT one chased after the Minkster at the Honolulu Zoo! It only went 1 mile in 5 hours, but it had that huge beak-thingy and a head that could shoot out and get the Mink. YIKES!!! It made me cry.

Then they actually took me to HELL!!! Yes, that's right ..... HELL. That's where they're going to spend all eternity if they don't watch it, too! That was a horrible influence on a little red minkey. I put Stella's bra in the freezer for that one. She'll pull it out from under her blouse if she gets tired of it. That was a mistake with me nearby, though. heh heh. There's a video of her actually doing that at work. Told you she was wild!!

Next place we went was Cozumel, Mexico. There, Stella and Dana went on a 65' catamarand for a beach party and snorkeling. Then Paula went and actually walked on the bottom of the ocean 20 feet down! There were no helmets the size for a little red monkey, so I got left out of that and sniffled all day on the bed with my friend the towel monkey. He's a good friend to have, cos he can dry your tears.

Back on the ship, I danced with one of the cruise directors, I got to sing in my Yoko Ono voice using the sound equipment on the ship's stage, they took me for some really nice meals where everyone wanted to meet me and have their pictures taken with me .... and I even played a piano!

They let me gamble on the slot machines, and on one of them, I think it was a banana that came up and threw me into a tizzy, cos you can tell there was some real Minkster action goin' on in some of those photos!

Then of course, we hit every bar we passed and every store that had a drop of booze in it. These women are (sort of) lushes! HeeeeeeeHeeeeeee! Just look at the slide show to see the Minkster ain't lyin' cos they have a drink in their hand in just about every picture. hehe WAY tee many martoonies on this trip ... even for me. The Mink likes to at least remember where he's been!

I had a slumber party every nite in our rooms where I felt really pampered and special (look at the slideshow for those pics too). And one of the cruise employees made a towell toy again for me to ride (I get those on every trip). I may be getting jaded on the towell animals. Minkey is getting to be a very sophisticated traveler.

Next trip is exotic Singapore! I went with one of the techie guys she works with, and he was working there most of the time, so he didn't take many pictures of me, but that's ok. Minkey Mama will fix that. She's waiting to get those pics digitally before she does that one (HINT, HINT, JEFF!), so y'all try to be patient. I know it's hard when you're waiting on anything to do with the Mink! hehe

This was the most unusual trip yet, cos I got to go and be a Pirate in South Padre Island with Minkey Mama's boss and some of her family. We went on the pirate ship because this trip was with the kids. YIPEE!!! I always have so much fun with them. Their names are Kevin, Alex and the twins - Kylee and Baylee. We got to do lots of things we wouldn't have done without the kids, so that made the Mink very happy. Oh, and I don't want to leave the big people out (big as in old). No wait....They're young, tall people! hehe Don't want to make them mad, or they won't ever take me again. That was Lena and Jason, in addition to Mz.Colene.

We did a road trip to get there, and then we went to the beach on the Island and to a Pirate Ship with real Pirates and everything! There was a treasure chest, and all the kids had sword fights with the Pirates. The Minkster decided against that. One fell swoop with that big ole knife, and red fur would fly everywhere. No more little red monkey! Ooooooooo. Just too scary for me. The Pirates turned out to be real mean, just like you hear, because they were making all the poor, innocent kids swab the deck!

There were also some really fun children's museums there that we went to, and all the kids included the Mink in everything they did. I liked that. They're really fun peeps to have.

The beach was extra fun this time, too. The Mink always has fun on beach trips. We all built a HUGE sand castle, and I got to sit on top of it because it was just my size! Yipee!! I had lots of weird looks from strangers when I did that. I got really stinky, too, with all the sand and seaweed smells, and when I got back home and to Minkey Mama's desk, I was pretty ripe!! hehehe STINKY MINKEY. lol

Colene tried to cover it with some Minkey/Man cologne, but the smell in the office was pretty loud! I had to go home that night and take a nice little soak in Woolite! My mama said it would make me all soft and fluffy again. And it did, so all was well in the end.

I especially liked going with a bunch of kids, cos they're really creative at fun and different stuff to do. I'm looking forward to the next trip with the Hightowers. They always get great pics, too. I think it's mostly Colene that takes the creative pics. She's a real artistic lady.

I have to go now ..... getting ready for my next trip TO ALASKA!!! I have a really pretty Alaskan parka that Minkey Mama bought me for the trip. I hope it will be warm enough for a little monkey who's supposed to live in the tropics!

Whoooooooo Hooooooooo! I can't wait to go crusin again. They always have buffets and bars with bananas and other fruits the Mink loves, and best of all, they have banana dacquiris. Hopefully, the lady and her husband who are taking me there, will let me sneak a drink or two. We'll see. This lady was Minkey Mama's boss at another job and now they work at the same company again. She's one of my mom's most favorite people in the world!

Gotta run and start packing and see if they have some bear and moose repellant at the stores!

Minkey Does Cabo San Lucas

Here I am in Cabo San Lucas .... Finally! I went there once with another very pretty lady, Missi, but she lost her camera in the ocean, so no pics for that trip.

This time I went with some major party animals. Debbie Gibby, her husband, and some of their friends. Whooooooo Hooooooooo! Party Down, Mink! We hung out a lot at the beach and went boating, and my new peep, Debbie, let me have anything to drink I wanted. My kind of girl!

When we went out in the boat, Debbie and her husband let me drive the boat. Wow, that was SO much fun!!! I only hit a couple of those rock formations and a few people who were stupid enough to swim out too far, but other than that, the Mink was a natural-born Skipper!

Back to the trip ..... we went shopping one day, and one of Debbie's friends bought me a beautiful new black sombrero. It was all sparkly like monkeys like, and fit me like a glove. It definitely gave the Minkster "Star Quality". I may get a call from Paramount when I get home I looked so cool. Got lots of looks from the Chicas, too! hehe

Some of the locals tried to kidnap me by asking Debbie if they could "hold me". They were trying to grab over the fence in the shopping area and the Minkster started crying it scared him so much and he had to have one of those umbrella drinks to recover.

I took siestas regularly there; I think because Debbie let the Minkster have a lot of cocktails. Maybe I was unconscious. Who knows ... or cares? Whatever it was, it was blissful. That's the way to live! I wanted to go home with Debbie, but she said Minkey Mama would be upset if I did, so she took me back. Oh well, maybe Debbie will take me on another trip in the future.

Minkey Visits Beautiful ScotlandFor the Second Time!

Yeah!!! The Mink got to go to Scotland again with his friend, Fiona, who is herself a Scottish lassie। Can't get more authentic than that! The last time we went, she took me to Loch Ness, and there's a picture of me in the slideshow (click title above) where we're at that lake, and I think Nessie is in the background waiting to grab the Minkster। Ye Gads and little fishies!

Next time out, we went into the heart of Edinburgh and to a little seaside town called Crammond. You can see that on the slideshow, too. It used to be an oyster fishing village, but I guess the oysters moved off some place else, so now it's just a pretty place to go with 15th and 16th century buildings. They think it was a Roman port, too. Ooooo. Pretty cool stuff.

Edinburgh is an awesome looking place. People have been there since 5000bc. I think that means there were no minkies on the earth yet. Lots of people come to see it every year for the history, and just because it's so beautiful. We saw Rosslyn Chapel there too. They made a show called the DaVinci Code in it, and there's a tour there where they look for the Holy Grail, so it's famous, too. If they ever find the grail, I bet they turn into skeletons and their hair falls out like on Indiana Jones.

We saw the Queen's Palace there, and there's a really cool road leading up to it called The Royal Mile. There's lots of cool shops and pubs in that area, so the Mink was really ready to go down that street, that's for sure. Scottish Whiskey here I come! WhoooooHoooooo! You can see one of the most famous pubs at the top of this page with flowers all over it, and a few on the slideshow too, so don't miss it!

Fiona seemed like such a sweet, gentle lady .... NOT!!! Check out the picture up above, and you'll see she IMPALED the Mink on the gates of the Queen's palace And it really hurt to have that metal point up my rear. Right in front of God, the Queen, and all those people, too! Some people will do anything for a picture. Sniff....sniff....Waaaaaa!

And hey ... that's just the tip of the iceburg! Next, we went on a bus shopping, and FIONA LEFT THE MINK AT THE STORE!! Can you EVEN believe that? I almost became a permanent resident of Scotland, and Fiona almost fainted she was so scared that someone would steal me and she'd be in HUGE trouble with Minkey Mama. But at least she called there and went back, and I was safe and sound with the owner.

When it first happened, I started hollering real loud, "Fiona --- Fi-oooooh-na?" And after several times she didn't answer, I threw myself on the floor and just cried and cried. The manager felt sorry for me, so he took me up to the front counter to see if she'd come back for me. Then FINALLY, after letting the Mink suffer for a long, long time, she came in and took me back on the bus to her family's house. I was all ragged out from being so upset. That cost her several bananas, I'll tell you for sure.

This is where the Mink's roots are, so I loved this trip to Texas Hill Country with one of my most favoritest peeps, Colene. The first pic of me at the top here is the fabulous Minkster in a field of Bluebonnets, the Texas state flower. Minkey Mama liked this one so much she gave all my travel buds at work a pic for their desks. Now I'm just everywhere up there! hehehe

We went to visit her friend Lisa, her 2 dogs, Sam & Louie, and her cat Ziggy. We even went to Saledo, the town where the Minkster was born! The last pic up there is the Old Stagecoach Inn in Saledo - one of the coolest places to go and eat in Texas.

Lisa has a very comfy homey little house in the hills of Austin that was SO cool. Tons of trees and big rocks.   WhooooHoooo! Minkey Gone Wild! I was flyin all over that place. Yipeeee! Fun! Lisa and Colene had to chase me down and Colene put me in her purse til we got away from there when we needed to go somewhere. Blaaaaaah.

We went to a park in Austin dedicated to Lady Bird Johnson, and it was pretty cool. It had some torture tools in it, though.   If you look at Lisa and Colene, they look all sweet and innocent. NOT!!!   Take a look at the slide show to this post and you'll see me with cactus up my ass, me on a giant scorpion's tail -- right on the stinger. I was planning to go bite Colene's ankle if I ever got off that thang, but I figured I better not since she's Minky Mama's boss.

One more WAY COOL thing at the park .... one of my FANS ran up and said, "I know him -- that's the Mink, and I read his blog!!"    Ohhhhh .... I'm famous. I think I'm going to faint.

We went into town, too. To Elvis Presley Blvd., to a really pretty historic house in Austin (the pic of that is above), and we went on a Peeps Day Out to a spa. I had a new friend with me from Lisa's house, and he was really nice. He was really short .... actually, he was a head with feet!   HeeeeeeeeHeeeeeeeee! But I liked him, and we hung out in town.   They put little towells on our heads for our day at the spa.

Then Colene had to get ONE MORE incident of Minkey abuse in -- she had that facial girl put a HUGE blob of hot blue wax on the Mink's face and I was terrified it was going to grow and take me over like in that movie, The Blob.   Oooooooo.   I was really scared.

That's about it. It was a short trip, but a really fun one.

My next post is going to be on my trip to Scotland with my friend, Fiona. She's a Scot herself and this was my second time she took me there.   DON'T MISS IT -- THERE'S SOME GREAT PICS, and one of the Mink in a KILT!! hehe

Part 2 of the Minkey Travels with the Hightowers

There's no better place for a little red monkey to party down than a cruise ... especially a cruise to Mexico! Those people really know how to hang out and have a good time. And they love the Mink. Not to brag, but I'm always a fav of the waiters, and this trip I even got to have some fun with a clown!

It's soooo exciting to see that cruise liner coming in, knowing that within minutes, you'll be on it cruising away on the big, beautiful ocean. Yeah, Buddy. Doesn't get much better than that!

We partied on the boat, we partied when we got to Mexico ... I don't really remember doing anything else BUT partying, come to think of it. That was the coolest ship, too. The huge main lobby was all shiny and glowing with brass and neon, and we went to several bars and restaurants and buffets so we could get all fat and happy just in time to put the swim suits on for Mexico! hehe

Those buffets are awesome, cos they have all kinds of fruits and things that minkies like. I was over there basking in the bowl of bananas and managed to scarf quite a few down before Colene (Minkey Mama's boss) caught me.

I screeched and screamed when she pulled me off the bowl. Grrrrrrr. I thought about taking a big ole bite out of her, but she might fire Minkey Mama if I did that. So I had to sit there and sniffle in silence.

When we got to Mexico, we just hung out and played at the beach, and I got to have some banana daquiris when we went to clubs and restaurants there. I didn't have to show my id cos I was smuggled in via Colene's purse! hehe

We ate and partied so much there, I gained 2 ounces! Minkey Mama told me I'd have to climb 20 trees a day to get my vacation ounces off!! Whew ... I'm gonna really be tired.

Next, I'm off to Biloxi, Mississippi to do a little gambling. I don't know about Minkey Mama's friends. They're kind of a wild bunch and are very bad influences on the Mink! But I'll never tell if they don't.

I gotta go. Minkey Mama told me it's time to do my tree-climbing so I can get in shape for my next trip!

Minkey Visits the Fabulous French Quarter In New Orleans, Louisiana

This is one of Minkey Mama's favorite places anywhere, and I got to go without her! NaNaNa Na-Na!! I love it. I went with a really fun family, too. The Hightower family. One of the ladies is Minkey Mama's boss. She let me drink and everything, and my mom couldn't do a thing or SHE'd get in trouble. HehHeh.

Anyway, this was a two-part trip. First we went to New Orleans and the French Quarter, then we got on a huge cruise ship and cruised off to Cozumel, Mexico. That will be in the next post (above this one).

New Orleans is such a cool place. It's really old ... like Europe, and has some awesome looking houses and things there. And you know what's really cool? There's a ton of ghosties there. Ooooooooooo.

My mom saw one when she went. It was a ghost named Julie, and she froze to death on the roof of one of those 3-story houses. It was a tragic love story, so her spirit never left the house. She still lives there so no one else will stay there even if they buy the house. They always get creeped out and move. It was for sale -again, during her last trip there.

And do these people know how to chow down? Yeah, baby! They have a very famous pastry place there with some delicious thingies called bin'ets or something, and a restaurant called "Mother's" where they make food like you WISH yo mama would! Ummmm-ummm.

We went to some other way cool places there, too, like the famous Pat O'Briens, Jackson Square where you can get carriage rides, voo-doo stores (Yikes!). At this store, if you don't like someone, you can get a doll that's supposed to be them and then stick pins in it when they make you mad. Minkey Mama wouldn't let me have one because she said it's evil.

They have the most awesome cemetery you've ever seen anywhere. All the graves are on top of the ground - in some very fancy tombs they used in the movie "Easy Rider". They do that because it floods there a lot and they didn't want all those dead bodies floating down the street. Ye gads and little fishes!! hehe There are some famous ghosties that hang around there, too.

Ok. That's all I can write on New Orleans. Minkey Mama said I was getting carried away and needed to stop. Fine ... FINE. I'll move on to the cruise that left from New Orleans.

Minkey Goes to Hollywood-Graumann's & Universal Studios* - #1 of 3

I got to go on another fantastic trip with my best buds, Ellen and Jeff. And when these two go on a trip, they go on a trip!!! I'm so lucky that they always invite me to tag along!

I felt especially honored on this trip, because before we got started, Ellen and Jeff got married! WhoooooooHooooooooo!! CONGRATULATIONS ELLEN AND JEFF!! You'll see me posing on Ellen's dress on the slideshow.

They even took me to their fabulous room with a view at the Hilton on their wedding night. . WOW!! I felt sooooo special. But I also felt kinda naughty, being with them on their special night because I thought I was going to get some hot tips (and I really mean "hot" ... ooo-Eeeee), but they zipped me up in Ellen's bag so I didn't get to see anything. DARN!! I was going to use my new-found knowledge teach my minkey chicas a few new tricks, but alas ....... it was not meant to be.

Before we left Vegas, we saw the famous "Gatsby" car and some cool motorcycles, and then it was off to Hollywood. YeeeeeHaaaaa!

First, they took me to a street called Durand Drive where a lot of famous people have lived. Then we went to see Capitol Records. I wanted to try to get a record contract there, but Jeff said I screeched like Yoko Ono and figured that wasn't my calling, so we didn't go inside. Sniff .....sniff....Waaaaaaaa!

Then we went to the famous Griffith Park and they took my pic in front of the Hollywood sign, which was cool. That's one of the most humongous parks that exists. People horse-back ride there, swim, bicycle, go to a building where they can look at the moon, etc.

Next, they drove me up in the hills to get behind the Hollywood sign, and we almost all got arrested!! We were messin around up there, and a policeman came up and asked what we were doing. I got in the back seat and started bawling, because his fussing at us really scared me. I was afraid I was going to be the first Minkey to go to Sing-Sing!

Next, we went to a very chi-chi shopping area and saw some of the famous stores there, and then on to the Kodak Threatre. That's where they have a Academy Awards every year, and it's an incredible looking place. I had my pic taken on the famous red carpet and in front of the Babylon Gates, which made me look like I was in Egypt! We saw Jimmy Kimmel's live set there too, and also Heros. Those movie stars sure get a lot of special treatment. I want to be one, too.

They showed me Ripley's Believe It Or Not Building, but I was scared to go in there. Too much weird stuff AND a giant Dinosaur on the roof. No thank you. I went and had a cool drink instead.

I was REALLY impressed with where we went next .... to Graumann's Chinese Theatre, where stars from all time (like Clark Gable and Marily Monroe) have gone to get their feet and hand prints in squares, and then they sign their name, too. I got to put my minkey feet into some mighty big and famous shoes and play like I was them! Then we saw the Hollywood Wax Museum and we didn't go in it either, because it had a humongous KING KONG at the entrance with HUGE teeth, and even though he might be my cousin, I stayed clear of him.

After that, we went to Paramount Studios and Forever Hollywood Cemetery of the stars. I don't know why they took me to see a bunch of dead people. They're really boring. They just lay there and do nothing. I wanted to climb some of the big trees there and play in a little pond there, but Ellen said it was disrespectful and gave me a rosary to wear instead. We saw Bugsy Seagel's grave where legend has it that if you leave some money there, you'll win next time you gamble. I left a penny.

Paramount owns some of the land the graves are on, so I've heard some of the ghosties of the stars get up and try to go to work again in there. Ooooooooo ..... They've scared the heebie-jeebies out of plenty of guards!! Cecil B. deMille even walks through the gates sometimes. I don't know how he thinks he's going to direct a picture .... no one can see or hear him most of the time.

The last place we went in Hollywood was the Walk of Stars, and I had my picture taken on so many of the stars, Minkey Mama had to make a separate post and slideshow on that, so be sure and go to the next few posts on here or you'll miss a bunch of cool stuff!

** UNIVERSAL STUDIOS #2-Danger!

This was the most amazing place imaginable as you can see by just the few pics above. The rest of the pictures are in the slideshow that you can view by clicking on the title of this post**.

There were cars flying off buildings, a whole town that was on fire all around us, dinosaurs running after me, pirates threatening me with their huge swords, etc. And then I went on a terrifying rollacoaster type ride in Jurasic Park. Ellen really outdid herself here on putting me in life-threatening danger everywhere I turned. Congrats, Ellen. Have a drink on the Mink!

Then I had my picture taken with Marilyn Monroe, Matt Damon, The Hulk, Bart Simpson, the shark from Jaws, the Access Hollywood stars, some astronauts, etc., and then one of Shrek and his lady holding me between them by my hands, and one of me and my bud, Curious George. Maybe that'll make me famous since Paramount wouldn't hire me and I didn't get to sing at Capitol Records.

If you've never been to this place and you have kids or a monkey like me, you gotta go!! It's one of the most fun places I ever went in my life.

Just one more life-defying situation (those are becoming a really regular thing, by the way if you haven't noticed). Here, I'm in the middle of a plane crash. And where were Ellen and Jeff? WAY away from the crash zone taking pictures, of course!

NOW, if you don't recognize it, I'm standing in front of that horrible and terrifying Psycho house. That hair-raising granny was sittin' up there in the window. I ran away when I saw that, and Ellen thought somebody kidnapped me!

It was getting dark in this last picture and that was fun, because we were on the beach with the rides in the background and it was really pretty cos they were all lit up.

Minkey on the Farm - Smoky Mountains - Ashville, NC

Minkey Mama shipped me off to a "mini farm" of her sister's in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. It was near Asheville, NC where that huge fancy Biltmore Estates is. We were going to go there, but that part didn't work out.

Come and see all the animals I met (an evil little piglet named Fluffy, some HUGE chickens, a stupid goat that would eat anything, and some cows ... one that had a major crush on the Minkster).

It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, BUT, they made me work a lot here, so I got kinda fussy about that.

I helped build a pig pen, drove a tractor, shoveled pig poo poo, and went on a little trip with them to Tennessee and Michigan, where I got some really great R&R and managed to squeeze in some of my bad habits and even learned a new one (you have to look at the slideshow to see what that is). I got in a lot of trouble with Minkey Mama when I got back, but I guess I did do a lot of bad stuff and gripe a lot here.
