We started working on our one of our websites that we able to hang on to. It's gonna be filled with recipes with a New York flair added to them. We will also be accepting recipes from other people with blogs and websites related to cooking. Right now if you'd like to share any just leave a comment here and we'll get back to you.

It's slow going but we do have a whole 2 pages up, lol, the home page and home made pizza with the sauce recipe. So, if you'd like to have some home made New York style pizza have a look see.

Word From Chris

Chris's mom has email me to let me know that he has had a massive heart attack.
He has been in and out of surgery. He has been a good friend for the past 5 years. I feel terrible that he has been ill and no one even knew what has happened to him.

As far as the mess left behind, I still have no clue why things got shut down.
My contact and Willem's contact was easy enough to get from the server, forums or our websites. I can't imagine that there was no over draft of funds towards your personal hosting plans. The forums and my sites were paid via the boards, so I expect mine to be gone.

Some of you have contacted me about recent payments that were paid by you for your hosting and your clients hosting. Was it by pay pal, direct payment?
I don't know where the monies were directed to, if it went to the hosting company direct. If anyone has that information it might help to sort this out.

I know some of you may be ****ed with Chris, but I am still asking for a pray, for he health sounds to be in dire need of them.

Thanks You and please post what ever angle you may provide to get this sorted out.

Hosting Hostage?

Through this whole mess, I have asked for someone to help get the data (at least that much} to the hosting clients. There is a good chance they have lost their domain names, their client domain names and all of the data in which they have posted on the server.
I am terribly sorry this has happened to all of you.
Some of you may have joined DXC via my newsletters over time, and over time the hosting went well for you all. Not the case anymore, and this nightmare just keeps getting worst.
I know some of you are updated on your hosting payments, and looking for refunds, which is all expected, except for those who seem to be getting involved and talking nothing but crap, or taking vacations.
It seem now they are looking for you folks to lay out more money for what is rightfully yours.
You can read my post and thoughts on the way this is being handled. Right Here and as you can see a few days ago I mentioned your work is being held HOSTAGE!
In which the reply was no it is not, and yet today a post went up to inform you all, that they want more of your money.
Once again I am painfully sorry for all of you that are going through this.

I had been following the trail back to whoever flipped the switch to turn things off and the info led to UK2.net as the hosting company. At first they denied all knowledge of DXC/DXHosting, but when I emailed them the info from a whois which clearly shows that my sites are on their servers, they stopped responding. Why is anyone's guess.

It has been over a week now and still no word from the server owner, the tech support of even a partner, in which had told me he would contact me. And hasn't, even though he he has contact with tech support.

We are a small market template company that offers free and professional website templates created with Swish, Swishmax, Flash, CSS, XHTML and other web designer elements. Our marketing budget is basically zero. We have been using Google Adsemse ads since 2003, and have enjoy a nice run with this service.

We just want to share a few tips on how to help you make some money using the adsense program. We notice people posting how happy they are they they made a big $10.00 in a month and also reading post how some of the big guys make a hell of a lot more.

We are here to help bring into prospective a middle ground. If you can afford marketing and have millions of viewers than you need not read this, but if your a start up and looking to grab some dollars on the cheap here are few tips.

1) You will need traffic, it goes with out saying no traffic not growth for your blog or website. We have some fine resource for you to use for free on our Website and we love to use Self Promotion as well, it's free to use and a small donation will let use some of their special tools.

2) Start a newsletter, make sure it where people will see it and make sure they have a reason to sign up. We offer free templates and web designer resources and this helps get them to sign up and also when a new template is made, it gives us reason to send out a newsletter. When we do we make a page that includes out Google Adsense script and some other offers that can bring in money, like an affiliate offer for hosting or other templates.

3) As for you blog or website, be sure your Google ads work with your web design theme. Too many people are to lazy to change the colors and the shape to work with their sites and this just creates a eye sore. People do not click if they have a pain in their eyes.

4) Keep content fresh and keep your blog, website filled with options so your keywords can bring you different ads for different pages. Running through a website and every page has the same ads will not help you gain clicks.

5) Do not click your own ads, or have others do it for you, it is a no no and could cause you to lose your account.

These are just a few ideas to get you started in a direction and getting the most out of Google Adsense.

Entrecard Hot or Hype?

We have been designing websites and templates since the year 2000. We have spent hours on end digging into search engines looking for new resources for design, marketing and coding. Every now and again something comes along that blast through the internet like wild fire. I remember when bigstep, hot yellow and even netscape was big doings and when the dancing gif girl was all of the rage. Some things do die out, but some do not. Google was a baby when we found it and was one of the first to sign up with their adsense program. We started to blog a few years ago, but never got into it on full mode till a couple of months ago. In that time we have tried every widget, ping, rss resource, blog template and host we could get our hands on. Which leads us to this post about Entrecard, a new form of marketing that lets bloggers share their blog sites through credit induced business cards.
It's a free program and you build credits in different ways. All you have to do is place a simple widget on your site and have other people post their business cards on it for a certain amount of credits.
Some people seem a bit turned off, because the credits for popular site are on the rise, but I found if you stay on top of this program, you can catch new sites that have good page ranks when they first sign up and get ad space for low credits.
Does it drive traffic to your blog, sure you get some, is it quality traffic, that is yet to be seen. But, all in all for the amount of effort you put into it, it does show dividends. Right now I would say Entrecard looks like a HOT item and only time will tell if it stays hot or becomes a victim of it's own hype. Either way Entrecard is worth a try.

Content! Content! Content!

Spider Bots need to feed off the content of a web page. If you want good ranking on search engines you must include content on your web page!

What is Content
As with many websites developed today using Flash or Swish, content is normally within the fla and swi files. SE's are starting to read these, but it is still not the same as having content on your web page, html content.

First of all your content must be true to the theme of your web site and so should your tags. If your selling ladies shoes than your content should reflect that. Not automobile parts. Bots, get pissed off when you try to trick them and so do people doing a search for something.

Each and every page of your website should be created this way. Let say your main page will feature ladies shoes, you want to reflect that, and then your about page is concentrating on your company specifics, then that page's content and tags should do the same.

Remember to add content to every web page, but also remember to be true as to what you add.

swishmax 2, parameters

This simple example of using parameters in swishmax 2.
The example shows random movement of a movie clip with a shape in it. Used are a few parameters to change to move area, the easing speed and the min and max size of the shape.
when you select the sprite random_move goto the menu bar Modify and chose Author component. Now the author component panel shows and here you see the parameters used, first the name i gave them which is used in the scripting of the movement. then the discription and after that the type. I chose number for type, because the animation needs number value's for the parameters.
Now close the author component and just play the movie in swishmax to see what it does. after seeing it stop the movie and press Ctrl+Shift+F3 to open the parameters panel. Now you see the parameters and their value's

They have developed a solution (based on the Adobe - Macromedia) recommendation that solves this issue on every page in your site with a few clicks. Flash Release will run trough all the documents in your site with one click, checking which of them have unprotected flash documents.

Web Design Elements

A Web Page, a web site, what a concept. It is amazing how a few lines of code can bring to the world your thoughts and design desires.
We all have our favorite programs in which we use to create our online doorways to our personality. Some people prefer the use of HTML, or XHTML, or CSS or Flash or a combination of these elements. I myself have been using Swish since 2000, and have long been breaking up the standard motion website from a 770 x 600 movie to a movie of broken down elements. I embed my files within a HTML frame so I could always have fresh content for the search engine spiders to feed off of. I may use a motion banner and a motion navigation layout, with a HTML body and footer, so the spiders have something to read. I also feel it gives a web page a more interesting look and creates a depth to the work being presented.

I have notice many people use the HTML and Meta Tags that are offered in some of these programs. What you get is free advertising for the program and you leave out important information about your site. The site that you are designing.

You can use Swish just like CSS, by creating elements like menus, footers, banners etc and only change and upload that particular file and all your pages are updated.
Breaking it down into different elements leaves may options open to you. One of the most important is, being able to use your HTML and have your meta tags and content work for you to the max.
