The names of Jesus

10 Names and Titles of Jesus:

The Bible is filled with many references to who Jesus is, His life, His Lordship, and what He came to do. Here’s just some of those names, titles, and verses from God’s Word.

1. Almighty One – “…who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Rev. 1:8

2. Alpha and Omega – “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev. 22:13

3. Advocate – “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” 1 John 2:1

4. Author and Perfecter of Our faith – “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb. 12:2

5. Authority – “Jesus said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matt. 28:18

6. Bread of Life – “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” John 6:35

7. Beloved Son of God – “And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matt. 3:17

8. Bridegroom – “And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.” Matt. 9:15

9. Chief Cornerstone – “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone.” Ps. 118:22

10. Deliverer – “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thess.1:10

Rod Stewart in a Disguise.

Rod Stewart wears disguise to travel by tube to London O2 concert - and he went unnoticed!

He’s a global superstar who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, so it’s safe to say Sir Rod Stewart can afford to travel in style.

But the legendary singer, 72, shunned the luxury of a private car on Monday, instead choosing to hop on the train and tube like a regular member of the public.

The couple's journey began by train - and they posed for this fun picture at the railway station (Image: penny.lancaster/Instagram)

Rod’s wife Penny Lancaster , 45, shared photos to Instagram showing the couple “sneaking” into London for Rod’s gig at the O2 Arena - and fans were both surprised and thrilled to see them embracing public transport.

It seems Rod wanted to go unnoticed as he wore an oversized black coat with the hood up, although the addition of sunglasses on a dreary, rainy day in the capital may have given the game away!

Rod and Penny were all smiles as they posed for a photo on the steps of a railway station platform, with Penny telling fans: “Sneaking into London by train today.”

A further photo showed the famous pair had jumped on the London Underground on their arrival in the city, with Rod flashing a cheeky grin as he pulled his hood down and tried to remain incognito during a stop at Tottenham Court Road station. Fans praised the couple for their “normality”, leaving hundreds of comments on the images laughing about Rod’s attempt at a disguise and asking for an update as to whether he was noticed.

“Love that everyone around is oblivious they have a legend riding with them,” said one Integra user. “I’m in awe!”

A second joked of the notoriously crowded commuter trains: “Now there’s someone I wouldn’t mind being squashed against!”

Luke 24:13-35

The Road to Emmaus

13 Now behold, two of them were travelling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.

17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”

18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have you not known the things which happened there in these days?”

19 And He said to them, “What things?”

So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”

25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

The Disciples’ Eyes Opened

28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.

30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” 35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Commentary Jesus in a disguise

In today’s scripture there are two men who walked and talked with Jesus those men new Jesus personally.

He showed up right there after his resurrection walked with them yet they were blinded to who they were walking with.

Often Jesus revels himself to us and we can totally miss him.

So many times sinners pray and seek him and he reveals himself in some way not the way they are expected and because of there darkened hearts and eyes clouded by sin they can miss the connection .

My personal testimony

I am not going to share all of my personal testimony here, but I will say this from the time I discovered and became convinced God was real [1980 at age 28.]

I thought I was a Christian but there was still something missing .
As I was not going to church or reading the bible.
I had no knowledge of that missing part of my at that time .

But I was hungry to find the missing piece of my God puzzle.

Daily I would pray one thing I did learn was to pray and daily for three months Jesus would show up in many different ways.

Some times he would reveal himself through a street preacher, or an old Christian lady who would walk up to me in a cafe and hand me a tract about Christ.

I had dreams I had visions of Jesus.

For three months daily I had Emmaus road experiences .
But my eyes were as it says in the scripture restrained.

Jesus did show up especially in the dreams and visions but he also showed himself in disguises.
What disguise ?

As a street preacher as the old lady who handed me a tract.

But after three months of seeking one day mt spiritual eyes were opened and I recognize him and what he was showing me and I am thankful for his faithfulness that he was revealing himself to me over those many months .

The things of God are often revealed as mysteries.

God often appears to us in a disguise

You may have heard the old saying quote ‘’God moves in mysteries ways ‘’

Those saying’s did not come about for no reason my friend.

Jesus is always there always interested in you always interested in every aspect of your life;
He wants to walk daily with you.

My advice is watch out for him ask God to open your eyes he is closer than you think today.

Just like Rod Steward been right there next to his fans and only some recognizing him Jesus today is right there will you recognize when he is near ?

Pray this with me.

Lord I seek you and want to know you beater .
Your word states clearly seek and you will find, help me to have my spiritual eyes opened so that when you reveal your self to me I will see you amen.

Matthew 6:26

No lack With God

Yesterday my finances were a bit tight to say the least.

I gave Connor my grandson what little money to buy a subway.

When he went to pay the lady who made it she said it was on her, not only that she gave him two extra fresh cookies and large drink !

Neither Connor nor I had ever met the lady serving before .

As most of you know this generally would never happen in a franchise food out let.

What a huge blessing and demonstration of God's goodness .

Think About It,

There was no reason for this act of kindness ?

And it just doesn’t happen in that sort store, unless there is a promotion of some sort.

There was no promotion running.

But some how God moved on that worker to makes the food give it free and throw in a lot of extra cool stuff !

I believe in The Principle of Tithing and Giving and Receiving .

I see God doing things like this daily in both my financial area and food supply and many other area's of my life . .
Yes i said daily.
It has become a way of life for many years .
Giving and receiving .
I Decided some time ago I would never post, write preach teach on areas I personally don't practice .
I only share what I practice and practice what preach .

Jesus Said ''What You Sow You Will Reap''

Give food, financially, and any other area of life love prayer time were needed and it will come back to you.
No need for a 30 day right of return this works folks !

[I help other in need that have a lack of food from time to time.]

Not saying the above to boast but to make a point that this principle works.

You want to get then start to give.

Have lack in any area of you life ?
Jesus is the solution giver, look to him and the bible .
Sure its not the way the world works .
Not what you learn at economics studies .
But the bible is not of this world its supernatural, from a supernatural God ,who moves in supernatural principles

Move in The Supernatural laws Jesus's Taught His Disciples.

As Christians we should also move in spiritual law, like the law of gravity, it can not be denied.

But be warned if some one sows hate violence steals from others it will only be a matter of time and that also will come back also careful what you sow .

Matthew 6:8 b

For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

The people of Israel were under attack by the Philistines.

1 Samuel Chapter 7; 7-10

Were and who would they turn to?
There choice ,
There leader at that time Samuel and asked him to pray to the Lord, that they would be delivered from the impending slaughter.

Samuel been fully trained as a priest before by Eli in the temple from a young age.

He knew exactly how to approach God as laid out in the Holy Scriptures given to the Jews by God.

Before going into prayer for Israel’s deliverance from her enemies.

He began by the sacrificing of a lamb. he hardly had time to pray the request when the Philistines showed up and attacked Israel .

The Lord thundered from heaven and sent confusion and set the Philistines back on there heels.
The slaughter of the Philistines and victory for Israel was grand as God once again delivered his people out of the hand Israel’s enemies.

God had heard Samuel's prayer even before he prayed it.

This was not the first time God had heard the prayer of Israel and delivered them

See Josh 10; 10 Judges 4; 15.

Samuel was a righteous man .

Samuel was faithful in his duties and devotion before God.

People knew exactly who to turn to time of trouble a man who could approach the holy God a man with oil in his lamp a man who had favor with God.

That is still true today

After the events of 9/11 in the USA the nation looked to its christian spiritual leaders for comfort and help prayers the performing of christian songs on nation wide TV and address to the nation were wide spread .
But all to soon in time the need for God in the nation began to become distant for many .
This is a very common fault we can all have in not paying attention to the devotion to God in the good times but when some personal tragic event hits then turning to him .

We need to be devoted in both the good and bad times .

James 5; 16 confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Application.

Are you under an attack in some way?

Have a need?

Maybe a victory against the demons of torment or addiction maybe some sinful habit?

Jesus said even before you pray your heavenly father know exactly what you need.

Coming before him in prayer and asking is vital, you have not because you ask not.

But we must be mindful that the Lord knows exactly what we need how to he can give us the victory, how to set free, deliver,heal, fight our battles

Faith come s by hearing and hearing Gods word ponder what the Lord did for Israel in the above scripture's let your faith arise today brothers and sister rise up claim your inheritance victory is your inheritance.
Defeat is not the inheritance of the sons and daughters of the living God .
God declares to you today you are the head not the tail .

Sometimes the victory’s of the Lord is fast & sweet and other time the battle rages on sometimes for long periods .
But never give up on the one who fights for you .
Today if you will call upon the King of heaven he knows exactly what you need and he is watching over his word watching over you to hear you cry

About This Ministry

Before I talk about what i am doing enjoy, and soak up the psalms, as i read them to you in this video . .

Ministry update 23 January 2017

Main Area of ministry

My gifts and callings as a Evangelist and work in the ministry have been recognized & acknowledged by the body of Christ ,
I am active in my local church & community here in New Zealand .
Bringing hope faith salvation & prayer to the down cast where ever and when ever as the holy spirit directs , I also use my gift of music to lift up many souls .

I also believe in moving in the gifts and do exercise the gift of speaking in tongues mainly in my private prayer times ,word of knowledge ,wisdom, dreams ,laying on hands , healing , miracles ,baptism of the holy spirit , teaching the word of God , encouragement casting out demons .
I also mainly play christian music out on the streets trumpet / pan flute and that in most case's leads to times of encouragement with other Christians the backsliders & sharing Gods love with non Christians
Music is a great door opener for conversation and often times prayer friendship .

A second big part of my ministry

Is on the internet .

Clearly in today's world this is one of the greatest tools to fulfill the great commission right from home !
Reaching out to all nations,to be salt and light .
I am now on twitter godtweets777 - Facebook Max Lines and You Tube Max Lines - All those platforms are becoming more linked so as to reach out to touch lives along with this blog .Posting on Facebook, twitter,You tube and a blog is both challenging and rewarding

Prayer needs for this ministry at this time

Please pray
1 That I could win more souls and lead backsliders back to Jesus
2 Continue to minister under the anointing of the holy spirit .
3 Pray for The community i live in horowhenua district New Zealand .
There thousands of hurting people from drug & alcohol abuse, child abuse per head of population in this area sadly the highest in NZ .
Pray for the churches and ministers who also reach out in this community also the local police who have many call outs to domestic violence incidents
and the community has the third highest rate of domestic violence in my country .
There are many other social difficulty's such as high unemployment and now housing is also now becoming a issue for many low income family's

4 Please pray I can reach out and bring hope in those often desperate situations.

Also please pray for my internet out reach this blog and other social media to touch lives my aim is to sharing the scriptures as God's world will not return void .

Also God's provision .
At this time I would consider my income as low but I am blessed to be able to call on my heavenly father for my needs .
At this time I am reaching a average of 200 + people a day on the internet .
This number is growing daily due to twitter automation software updated this week January 2017 .
As you will know any work of this nature on the net is always ongoing challenging as the technology changes and I also learn to do things beater .
I have the ability and skills to make beater web sites and video but need financial resources for more software such as Camstia studio .

The lord is in the honey market.

Psalm 81 New King James Version (NKJV)

13“Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
¹⁴I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.
¹⁵The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever.
¹⁶He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat;
And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.”

We learn about this due to the fact our text says so: "With honey from the rock I would satisfy you" (v. 16). God has honey, and God wants to give us some.

Show me the honey!

Acquiring honey from a rock is unlike getting blood from a turnip — it's something that can actually be done — however it requires keeping your ears wide open.

If you're searching for a real beehive in a rock-strewn land, listening for the buzzing of the bees helps you discover the location of a hive.
If you happen to be searching for honey from a rock as God promises in Psalm 81, where the term is a metaphorical stand-in for God's blessings, listening for God's voice makes it possible to receive it.

"Honey from the rock" is an intriguing phrase, and, at the very least to those among us who don't dwell where its commonplace, it may appear to be something impossible. But not so.
No less an authority as compared to the "Orkin Man," who without doubt understands a few things about insects, claims, "Wild honey bees make hives in rock crevices, hollow tree limbs and other spaces that... are appropriate for their colony." And an old biblical reference work describes, "The territory of Canaan abounded with hills and rocks in which bees had their hives, and from whence honey dropped to lower areas; hence the location is said to ooze with milk and honey...."

This psalm recalls God's past acts of deliverance on Israel's behalf and rebukes the people for their subsequent faithlessness. Thus, in verse 11, our father says, "But my people did not listen to my voice...," and in verse 13, God laments, "O that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!" In verse 16, God tells how listening to him would benefit them: "... with honey from the rock I would satisfy you."

God wants to be a honey-supplier; unfortunately God's people are reluctant to cooperate not to mention pay attention.

O taste and see that the Lord is good the bible states the question is will you listen and seek out the honey today ?

God’s Holy Spirit

Is God’s Holy Spirit leading me in this wilderness?

Ever asked God that ?

You meet Jesus and God fills you with his spirit.
You’re on this almost high for lack of a beater word .
You have been diligently seeking the Holy Spirits leading.
Yes that is sound and biblical,
After seeking the Holy Spirits leading he takes you into a very undesirable situation were every thing is difficult to say the least!
Like the chairs are hard even if you have one!
Yet you were 100% sure this was the leading of the Holy Spirit?

Seeking counsel good friends assure you we all get it wrong now and then “Maybe you’re just not listening to God enough “”You lack faith “another tells you.
It seems at this point in time every one is a expert at running God’s business for him.
Well yea they mean well.
But there is that knowing the spirit led you to this place /situation.
So what is up with all this is this experience is it even biblical?
Well yes it can be and yes the leading of the spirit of God will not necessarily take you to some wonderful fun filled comfort zone.
Like were are the waters as in psalm 23.?

No seeking the leading of the spirit of God is not always going to take you to a 5 star Hilton in Miami despite what so many well meaning prosperity pastors may preach.

You see his leading has nothing to do with your personal desires.

God’s not running a feel good amusement park he’s no Disney land guild.

The kingdom and God's will & purpose’s are not in our way of thinking especially in our let's all feel good live good western culture .

So many people come to Christ thinking this will be the good life sad the gospel is so often presented this way “Come to Jesus and you will be happy daily “

Sure there is a joy there are those moments of great Joy with God but don’t think its all roses when God wants to lead you in a way to accomplish his will and purpose's .

It’s his will that needs to be done not yours.

Seem to recall some one teaching 12 guys how to pray thy will be done thy kingdom come .

not my will be done my kingdom come .

Let’s look at the leading of the spirit in our master’s life.

John was preaching and baptizing in the Jordan Jesus went to him to be baptized by him a voice thundered from heaven this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased the father, just could not contain his joy and excitement. The Holy Spirit was seen as a dove coming down upon Jesus in bodily form.

This was the beginning of the son of God’s ministry a ministry that would change the world

.It was a pivotal moment in time

Then in Matthew 4 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit in to the wilderness to be tempted of the devil

Mark chapter 1 v 12 it was immediately after the baptism of Jesus that he was driven into the wilderness by the spirit.

The bible even says driven instead of led

The spirit of God is out to lead us into the place were he needs us to be to accomplish Gods purposes for two reasons to work in our hearts and to establish his will in our lives and establish his kingdom .

Jesus ended up in a desert place fasting for forty days and then been tested to the limit by Satan.

Just maybe now or at some time in the future the spirit of God’s leading makes no sense to you?

Your in a desert experience it lonely there’s not much to eat spiritually or even physically you feel dry even confused why would the spirit of God have lead me here you ask your self and God over and over .

Think of Jesus had he got it right has he really been led by the spirit nothing in the scripture indicates he doubted but we just don’t know what he was thinking as he marched of into the wildness?

Sitting in a desert hungry after 40 days of fasting .Then been tempted to the extreme .

Now lets put ourselves in his place man I can hear the moaning from here.

So we are then challenged .

But this is the lesson here the spirit of God doe not always lead and direct us in our plans our will that why the bible states over and over to give those up die to self and then the spirit can truly direct a life 100% surrendered to him .

sorry 99.5% just will not cut it he demands all . .

Was this desert place really the leading of God’s spirit for Jesus ?

Yes it turns out it was and until the purpose God had planed there that was over coming the temptation of Satan God's plan and ministry could not be activated .

But right on cue the forty days were over the battle won by the son of God the activation button pushed and the greatest ministry ever known to man kind began to unfold before the world to change history and mankind's access to the holy father forever there was no moving on for our Lord till the temptation was over , he just had to stay there.

Application

Sometime's the spirit of God lead’s us to a place we just do not won’t to be a situation circumstance a geographical location but we had just beater get used to it !
The spirit and the father will never move you on till his plan and purpose for leading you there in the first place will be worked out .
The writer is writing from a biblical point of view and also personal experiences with the holy spirits leading .
This go’s against every thing we are conditioned to and taught in our western culture
You can hear the grumbling now.” Why put up with that “You deserve beater than that “You need to step out and move forward” and on and on the cliches go.
And add to that the new age law of attraction philosophy and God's very reason for placing you on the face of this earth will be lost i a cloud you been God doing your own thing.

And God will never move you on if you are grumbling and complaining think about the people of Israel in the desert.
Here we go again once more around the block they would say.
I kings 12 v 18 that the spirit of the Lord shall carry thee wither I know not.
Jesus talked about the spirit of the Lord as a wind blowing were ever it will.
That was like a metaphor there is a freedom with the spirit of God moving through out the earth.
Leading moving touching lives when we least expect it in ways we don’t except
So lets not think in the natural when the spirit of the lord leads us to a place we don’t wont to be yet deep down we know it’s the place he wants us to be give thanks rejoice and let him out work his plan for you till he moves you on .
But I hope that this short teaching time will show you in all the disappointment you might feel at the spirit’s leading that you will learn you are no longer the master that he will lead you were ever he will’s and there will be those times he will lead you to the places of peace and calm but there are other times he will lead you to the desert experiences.

Let Go and Let God

Isaiah 42:16 New King James Version (NKJV)

¹⁶I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them,
And not forsake them.

There are two types of blindness in this world one is the physical blindness were a person has no sight.
The other is a spiritual blindness.
There are many reasons for both conditions.
Both are very sad situations often I have known folk who are physically blind but certainly not spiritually blind and vice versa.

Many especially in western society are spiritually blind they know there is a God and many have had a revelation but have turned away from total surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.
There over the last 35 years as a Christian I have not only heard every excuse and reason for turning away from God and I have even much to my shame added to the collection of excuses .
The most common been I was heart in a church or some one offended me always good value there but at the judgment throne of God its will be like a little school boy saying he could not do his home work because he was to busy playing games on his play station it just will not cut it dose that upset you tough this is tough love iv been there and I am not watering the way it is to get more likes shares on my Face book or more views on this blog I am here to do the will of God not the will of man don't like it go to one those wishy washy preachers .
So stop your misery and man up or women up for once in your life your excuse's will not cut it with God .
Also there is some secret habit or sin often done in secret adultery watching of porn on the net a hidden gambling addiction no matter what don’t kid your self God see’s and knows every thing you do think and say he even knows the number of hairs on your head.
Jesus did not come to condemn any of us for our sin he came to take away the sin and bring freedom and in our lives’ if we will surrender. [The writer knows this only to well]

There is a reason many will no surrender sadly this fulfils the scripture that states man would rather walk in darkness than light.

If in some way this short message is speaking to you today all Jesus is waiting for is your total surrender he is not waiting for you to put on your make up loss weight change you dirty shirt stop smoking no all this self improvement stuff is good but not a requirement.

Coming into the light God has for us and letting the spiritual darkness be moved for eternity requires only surrender to Christ of your life every part of it repentance from sins .
Don’t be robbed of God’s salvation plan purpose for your life today my friends just surrender.
As I heard a young man says recently on the street ‘’easy as man ‘’

Was Joshua Just Telling Porky's ? 

I got the  inspiration for the title to this post after reading about Joshua's long day ? 
Take the long day that is recorded in the book of Joshua do we just have blind faith on this as Christians ?

If those facts were bought to a court could we produce more witness outside the biblical account Joshua chapter 10 v 12-14 ;

In a court of law concrete evidence would surly be demanded to confirm this story .

That this event has taken place in our historical past and that our friend Joshua was not making up a pack of lie's heavy stuff challenging .

If there was a long day in Israel and the sun stood still surely on the other side of the earth there must have been a long night right  ?

There are 15 accounts from other cultures nations and tribes that there was confirming the long day of Joshua watch this video .

So back to my title on this post "Was Joshua telling Porky's my conclusion is defiantly not the accounts of the longest day are with out question correct and confirmed in history as well as the bible .

With the blessing of new technology and research, evidence gathered from many source's namely a large number of historical accounts from eye witness who lived in that time zone now confirms those biblical accounts .

Don’t just sit there use it.

Does the title of this blog post suggest I am been rude?

Well I hope not but I had to get your attention.

Often when we as Christians share our thoughts of what the Lord has prompted us to share and sometimes it is as much for us as it is for our congregation or readers.

In this case it is so true.

But I know some one out there in internet land and I have this sense that a number of you folk who read this will get blessed and motivated by this post so please read on.

Stewardship

When I became a Christian in 1980 I began to read the bible for me this new book was like finding a river full of gold nuggets it has so much wisdom so much truth.

I was living in a non Christian flat at this time and I just could not stop reading this book.

To the extent that my flat mates thought I had gone a little crazy.

One of the truth’s I came upon was what Jesus taught on stewardship.

God has given you and me talents and gifts

I totally believe every person on God’ earth has been given talents and gifts that are from our heavenly father.

Do you?

You might right now feel like a no one? No talent no gift any hope?

Like hay man God missed me when he was handing out the candy bars!

But nothing could be further from the truth!

Lets get this straight don’t sit there in your self pity party with your head down because of stuff you have been through in the past we have all had that come on RISE UP OUT THAT BED IN JESUS NAME !

I won’t YOU TO BE BLESSED whoever you are were ever you are no matter what your struggles no matter what your circumstances.

God has a plan’s and purposes for your life.

Let God touch your heart right now with his word.

Jeremiah 29: 11 the Voice (VOICE) Bible

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope—never forget that.

You see God has your life all worked out but it is up to you and me to find his plan his purpose and the talents to help fulfil that plan that’s why he gave them in the first place

And he has give to us all talents and gifts to use for his glory and to help build his kingdom.

God gave to some of us one talent to some of us he give many talents.

But there is one thing I know through scripture that to every person he gives talents and gifts.

I am now 64 and I know through meeting so many people from all walks of life that so many have been given talents and so many sit on them and others use what they have easy to spot.

It’s biblical.

I really feel very strongly right now that there are people who will read this and say in there heart not me I am just a no one and a nothing.

I have nothing any talent no motivation God has given me nothing.

WRONG.

If this is you friend today I wont you to put you hand on the PC or lap top or I phone right now and ask God to reveal what your talents and gifting are ’.

Begin to seek after the gifts and talents God has blessed you with.

Concerning God’s gifts and talents

Sadly this world has a way of putting a value on gifts and talents’

To keep this in perspective I have been so blessed to have been given a gift of music from a young age.

Now the difficulty I see with talents in the year 2016 is that there is a perception that music and the arts are the only talents and gifts.

This in part has been driven by social media videos of talented musicians and reality TV shows like’’ Australians got talent ‘’.

Many who use there talents will not get the applause and hugs at the end of there performance but there is one who will be waiting to hug and applaud them his name is Jesus and he will welcome them in on day with those words well do thy good and faithful servant .

In the parable of the talents did you notice Jesus did not make a fuss about what those talents were ?

There is no limit on the gifts /talents God gives my late mother who just passed away had a gift of knitting for the blind foundation small coats that were used to keep the puppies warm that is was a gift and talent and mum used it well God Bless her soul .

There is no limit to the talents God has blessed mankind with.

But God has given so many other talents to so many people.

I see this every were I go.

An example that comes to mind is givers who love care giving and looking after the elderly & disabled.

It is difficult and challenging often those folk are terribly under paid and under valued by society and worse than this many are not appreciated and recognized.

But for most of them they have found there talent there gift to care for others and they are totally in the will of God for there lives they use what they have been given to full fill the will of God for there live s .

You can spot a person who is using there talent and is in the will of God for there life there is that sense of purpose and joy as they go about there daily work.

Some people have talents to grow flowers look after and work with animals.

Some folks have talents just to sit listen to hurting people and bring comfort and hope often this is call pastoral ministry.

Some have talents to preach others to serve as door greeters at church.

Some have talents to clean bathrooms .WHAT! Yes you heard me so never look down on such people who serve they are special in God‘s sight and they have there gifting just as you have yours God puts as much a vale on the bathroom cleaner as he dose on the big time person singing who has just had 23 million views on you tube its just this world that twists the truth also value them! [Tears as I write this].

We have a dear elderly lady in the church that I go to and every Easter she makes the loveliest crosses out of chocolate she has a creative gift of cooking each on is a special gift wrapped normally about 150 of them and given out to every person on Sunday Easter Sunday morning.

What a gif what a blessing I look forward to that each year.

You see when we look at the parable of the talents.

And other scriptures on steward ship in the bible we will discover it’s what we do with the gifts that we have been given by God that really counts. Not the value of the gift that is placed on the gift.

Application

If you don’t know what your talents are pray and if you need to fast and pray that the Lord will show you and reveal to you hay and it might take time day’s months but keep trusting him on this and don’t get frustrated.

You can also be practical and try different things and see if something just feels right and begins to fall into place for you.

If you are well aware and I know there are many Christians who are sitting on there gifts [no names] but if you are sitting on your talents that God has given you what do you think you are a bird on a nest no they don’t need keeping warm they were given to you to use for him so be faithful and motivated today and use what you have been given no matter how small or insignificant that might seem.

NB Application to my own life my talent for music I am beginning to extend and use more for his glory .- I perform and worship the Lord on Pan flute /Trumpet

Were is Your Treasure ?

How to Find True and Real treasure .

Christian do you really treasure your faith in Jesus Christ and your relationship with our heavenly father  ?

Thinking on this today .

 This world and every thing in it will one day pass away the bible tells us over and over .

Sure enjoy it but don't set your heart on it its all temporal set your heart on the eternal things .

Jesus put it this way .

Matthew 6:21
                                        For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Ask your self the following .

Has your car ,money . home , family , talent , become your treasure ?

Well I have bad news for you my friend all the above and more are temporal and will pass away one day ..

The Bible states this many times .

Take some time to sit down and think about were your at right now with your walk with God .

 Ask your self this, is Christ really the Lord of my life is he the most central figure I love and adore ? 

Am I really putting God first above all else ?

Don't be robbed

I have done my reality check just one hour ago .

I Never write or post on anything that I will not practice myself .

That's the reason you will not see a post on fasting here at this time not a strong point in my life .

So I can say yes God is my greatest treasure , like you there is a heap of other stuff I love in this life Nothing wrong with enjoying family friends music art ,sport, show's ,Pets ,good food and even your I phone but is it in its rightful place ? 

Is there anything that totally dominates Your Thinking Out Side of God's things ?

Is there any thing you have allowed to take over your thoughts thinking and time so that you no longer have time for God ?

I might be a bit confronting But we are Iron and the scripture say's Iron sharpens iron - You keep me sharp and ill keep you sharp it's biblical .

So back to our subject who or what have we set our affections on at the top of the list ?

Don't be robbed especially by our materialist western greedy culture .

Jesus Is Busy Building His Chruch .

Jesus will build his Church

What is his Church ?

The truth is that Jesus's is building his church as he said he would in Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it.
This raise's a lot of question's what is it ? Were is it ? What is the true church ? Can we see it ? Is it still been built today ? Can we be a part of it ?
What about the next claim Jesus makes .
And the gates of hell will never stop it . .
Is that statement that Jesus made been fulfilled ?
Or was he really just a con man setting the world up ?
Those words are prophetic in its nature .
So if those words are true we should be seeing the building of his church the manifestation today..
So is Jesus true to his word this is evidence that he is who the bible says he is the son of God .

What the church is & is not

It is not some cathedral in Europe or Presbyterian or Baptist building in some town or city, this is a widely held misconception held by countless millions .
Those are places for Christians to Worship and meet with one another but a true Christian can meet with God anywhere any place at a beach home in a busy city, a building dose not contain the presence of God for a Christian
The bible tells us that our body's are the temple of the holy spirit .
Not a build with a sign saying church on it .
We have all seen church building's most times with a cross some were this is universally accepted as the Christian symbol and marks such buildings as church's .
And we will all say '' There is the church ''.[ I still say this it is part of our way of life so I am not condemning any one for this world wide unbiblical view ].
So if those buildings are not the church that the Christ is building then what is ?

Let's look at what God say's about his Church and Body .

You might think I am bagging the establishment wrong, just hang in there with me .
Well the church is not made up of bricks and timber, no it is not buildings .
It is made up of people who have put there faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ .
You see biblical truth is what this blog is all about and we are all seeking biblical truth I hope we are .
So we need to look at the scripture's to find that truth .
This is what the bible says about The Church Christ is building.

Colossians 1:18 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.
Do you see that?
Christ is the head of the body so what is this body THE CHURCH the bible is talking about?
The body of Christ.
It is people like you and me who have put there faith in him.
We are told this in the following scripture’s

V 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

So You Are His Body and part of his church not the building that is just a meeting place .

Personally I have never seen the glory of God in the building itself we call a church no matter how wonderful the art work or magnificent the cathedral .
The truth is that is not the glory of God the art is the glory of a talented man a artist or so on how dare we say this is Gods glory when looking on his true glory we would fall down before him as Isaiah did and cry out for mercy in his holy presence
See Isaiah chapter 6
I have seen a foretaste of God's glory in the lives of his dedicated people who worship him live for him and will lay down there own lives dreams and aspiration's to give him service .
This is one place the true glory of God is reflected .
His church [His people ] as described in the bible is the world wide body of believers, that have put there faith and trust in him.
They come from many denominations .

Beware of wolves in the body

Whenever you hear any one church group or preacher saying they are the only people who know God and will make heaven watch out !
This is the first sign of a cult such as the Jehovah's Witness or the Mormons and sadly some Christian church's make the same claim .
Another tell tail sign is this superior attitude that they are above every one else .
This is not biblical and very narrow-minded some church groups the members of such cults will always be easy to spot as once they get going there fanatical ranting and raving becomes unbearable on this issue keep away from them all unless you are deaf or have a good set of ear muffs
The Body of Christ is so much bigger that some man made exclusive club who tend to live by rules not by grace .

So what about other styles and difference's

Some worship with guitars some like the older more traditional style but no matter what there difference's they are all part of the body of Christ his church that he is building .

Jesus said this Matthew v 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The Gates of hell can not stop Jesus Christ building his church

The Romans tried to stop the spread and of Christianity, as did the religious Jews and many still do today.
Communist china and

Russia

burnt hundreds of millions of bibles they burnt down churches and put ten of thousands of Christians in horrific labour camps and many to death .
And many other nations followed in there stupidity.
They clearly never read or realized you can not negate the word of Christ never have and never will .
The evolutionist with there theory headed up by Mr Darwin have had a good go at pulling down God's bible starting with the story of creation .
And although this pack of lies is taught as fact it still is not holding back the tide of people who look at Gods creation daily and acknowledge intelligent design .
The atheist and intellectuals have hammered Christians with Richard Dawkins using every form of media world wide TV books radio and the internet and other available resources to disprove God.
But still the bible stands as the biggest selling book today , people are healed set free from addictions hurt and pain and countless millions claim to have meet with Christ in dreams vision's and visitations .
Sorry Mr Dawkins and Mr Darwin Christ will build his church and the gates of hell and all your stupidity will never stop him .

So what about today

The Muslims in the name of there god & jihad are trying desperately to stop people converting to Christianity by killing tens of thousands if not millions of Christians with both beheading and Crucifixions setting fire to churches and other atrocities..
Lets not water this down and insult our brothers and sister's in Christ who have suffered and given there lives for Christ .
This is happening daily all over the world and in many of the poor nations it go's unreported due to the lack of communication in those place's

But despite this hundreds of millions make ,Christ there Lord and dedicate there lives to his service.
and that includes tens of thousands of disillusioned Muslims who find the violence and haltered perpetrated by there faith unacceptable there is no love of God in any of it lets face the facts .
So to all my Muslim friends and I do have a lot and to the radical Muslim element Christ is building his church and the gates of hell will not stop it .Jesus Christ will do what he said he will do as he is God .

So why are more people accepting Christ now like never before

There are a number of reason's for this but I would like to focuses on what God said he would do

Because God is not a man that he would lie and when Jesus said those words in the holy bible he will build his church he gave his word. And as the saying go's a man is as good as his word.

To all those who think they will defeat Christ and the building his church and seeing millions follow him you are fighting a losing battle as more and more people follow the Lord Jesus Christ and the bible still remains the biggest selling book in the world as it has done for decades.

The gates of hell will not stop Christ from building his church !

Because God’s way's ways are not mans ways , his thoughts are not mans thoughts he is bigger than mans stupidity and persecution and Satan's plans and lies

There is so much of modern day persecution is going on in different forms so what is God doing about it ?

How can God stand back and let this happen.?
Well the good news is he is not.
He has a plan that is bigger than ours and he is moving on this people group by his spirit.

The Church converting the Muslims or attempting to influence the conversions is not the reason for this striking conversion in figures.

According to the Carnegie Endowment for Worldwide Peace, the Muslim community is currently 2.00 billion people as per the current statistics.

Other reports which have been authorized for some years have confirmed that more than 6 million Muslims in Africa become Christians every year, apart from the ‘mass conversion’ of Muslims in Islamic nations.

In the previous 3.5 years, many Christians are not being encompassed in ‘refugee numbers’ suggesting that they have been executed and more than 3 million Christians are ‘missing’ from Syria currently.

It is claimed that the mass massacre of Christians taking place currently is exactly because of the fact that millions of Muslims have adopted Christianity, and the authorities are aware of the changes that are taking place so are in an attempt to stop it.
What a waste of time maybe they will wake up to the truth that this Jesus is bigger than all there stupidity and foolish actions .

But if the gates of hell will not stop Christ building his kingdom then it stands to reason then all the violence , armies, power, fear and persecution of this current age will not stop him .
Christ is no historical figure he is a real person who rose from the grave is alive today and fulfilling his word & building his church and tens of millions more converts been won in this end time harvest .
But Let us all pray as it is the Lords prayer Thy will be done thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven .
Lastly Christian please pray daily for your brothers and sister who live in those area's that are beset by this persecution .

The Assyrians were the inhabitants of the area that grew to become a great empire controlling the biblical Middle East from the ninth to the seventh century BC. They triumphed over an area that comprises what are now Iraq, Syria, Jordan and

. In the seventh century BC, Assyria occupied and governed the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The capital city of Assyria was Nineveh, one of the biggest cities of ancient times. Excavations in Mesopotamia have confirmed the Bible’s clarification that it did take three days' excursion to walk around this city (Jonah 3:3). The Assyrians were a ruthless also nasty nation who showed minimal amount of mercy to those they conquered (2 Kings 19:17).

The Assyrians were a thorn in the side of Israel. Commencing in 733 BC under King Tilgath-pileser, Assyria took the Northern Kingdom’s territory in addition to carried the people into exile (2 Kings 15:29). Eventually, beginning in 721 BC, the Assyrian king Shalmaneser overwhelmed Israel’s capital city, Samaria, and it fell three years after that (2 Kings 18:9-12). This event made real Isaiah’s prophecy that God intended to take advantage of Assyria as the “rod of His anger” (Isaiah 10:5-19); that is, the Assyrian Empire was implementing God’s judgment against the idolatrous Israelites. The sovereign God receives the full credit as the source of Assyria’s authority (review Isaiah 7:18; 8:7; 9:11; and Daniel 4:17). Secular history records that in 703 BC Assyria under King Sennacherib suppressed a serious Chaldean dilemma.

Given the Assyrian danger against Israel, it is obvious that the prophet Jonah would not wish to head to Nineveh (Jonah 1:1-3). When he eventually showed up in the Assyrian capital, Jonah preached God’s imminent judgment. After being attentive to Jonah’s advice, the king of Assyria as well as the entire city of Nineveh repented, and God turned His anger away for a time (Jonah 3:10). The grace of God was extended also to the Assyrians.

In the fourteenth year of Hezekiah’s reign, in 701 BC, the Assyrians under Sennacherib captured 46 of Judah’s fortified municipalities (Isaiah 36:1). Then they laid siege to Jerusalem—the Assyrian king engraved upon his stele that he had the king of Judah caught like a caged bird in his own nation.

Nevertheless, even though Sennacherib’s army occupied Judah up to the very doorstep of Jerusalem, and even though Sennacherib’s emissary Rabshakeh boasted against God and Hezekiah (Isaiah 36:4-21), Assyria was rebuffed. Hezekiah prayed, and God stated that the Assyrians would certainly never set foot inside the city (Isaiah 37:33). God slew one hundred and eighty five thousand Assyrian forces in the same night (Isaiah 37:36), and Sennacherib returned to Nineveh the place he was slain by his very own sons as he worshiped his god Nisroch (Isaiah 37:38).

In 612 BC, Nineveh was besieged by an alliance of the Medes, Babylonians and Scythians, and the city was so wholly defeated that even its location was long forgotten until British archaeologist Sir Austen Layard began uncovering it in the nineteenth century. Accordingly, as the Babylonian Empire ascended, Assyria decreased the pages of the past.

Do You won't to be free from torment and the

demonic .

So many People today are bound up with curse's and the demonic spirits .

This might sound a bit left field , but it is biblical .

But it is also Biblical for people to get free from torment, fear, and the demonic..

Mark chapter 3
Jesus Accused by His Family and by Teachers of the Law

20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.
21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”

23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

Note ;If you are not a Christian ,when Jesus was talking in
v 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house. .
He was talking about demons that get into a persons life and take over that person .

This binding of the strongman [demons] is done in prayer by Christians and the name above every name is used .
Often the Christians will also fast and pray there is also the laying on of hands [This is best not undertaken unless a minister is present or a Christian has had some training teaching in this area ]
Many people with all sorts of difficulty's in life have been set free from demonic curses sickness mental illness and more . [ I also do not advocate the throwing out of medicine's with out consultation with you health provider ]
God can set people free from all sorts of illness but Jesus also called DR Luke as a disciple one of the 12 So clearly Jesus approved of doctors and so should we also .
Some Christians do not accept that Jesus can do this today but there are currently tens of millions of people in the world who have been freed from many conditions of sickness and depression and so on and other demonic afflictions that have been set free .[take a look on you tube ]
You will not hear those testimony on the 6 pm news but if you wont some doom gloom and bad news go and have your fill of darkness ..
The Jesus i know is all about good news ..
Jesus can and dose still set free as i have seen it many times and the bible declares it clearly this is Gods word and he is not a man that he will lie about those tings .
Jesus came to bring salvation healing and hope .
He has not changed is mission ..
Satan is very real and running rampant in the world today as he knows his time is short .
Don't be robbed by the devil of the freedom that is only found in Jesus Christ get your feet on the rock and out of the stinking sinking sand today.

There will be no peace of God in your life, unless you make PEACE WITH GOD .

So why spend you life in turmoil and misery sadness and hopelessness ?

I have been on this earth now for 63 years I have tried in my youth especially many different paths to find peace fulfilment and purpose.
No matter how many times I went flying and how many thrills I experienced [learn to fly]
No matter how much alcohol and drank and parties and night clubs I went to and so called good times i had ..
No matter how many times I went surfing or ran marathons and trophies I won.
No matter how many cool gigs I played music at to the adoration of adoring fans .
No matter how many great theatres i worked in [86 all up ] and all the friends i made in the movie industry along with more alcohol party's pride and vanity and high wages .
And mixing with big name acts like Johnny Cash I got to work with and stage shows I worked on.
No fame and fortune did not cut it .
No matter how much money I made and all the nice cars I drove around in my dinner suit like some holly wood playboy .
and my flash flat i had in Western Australia ..
No matter how many women I loved and slept with.
No matter how many hours I devoted to the practice of hatah yoga.
With all this and like Solomon of old i did so much more much more I tried almost every thing this world has had on offer .i could never find a lasting peace purpose and fulfilment.
I think you might get the picture by now and friend I am opening my heart to you.
To be singing '' I still haven't found what i m looking for''U2 was about right for me .

But I did at age 28 I found peace purpose and true fulfilment.

That is when I meet a person who has stuck closer to me than a brother his name Jesus Christ.[No he is no dead founder of a religion of a dead cult he is alive today ].

You see the bible says we have a problem that is we are all born with a sinful nature.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
As much as I tried through yoga to have a relationship with a holy God and find peace it did not work .
Why ? Because I was not forgiven of my sins and God had not changed my sinful nature with his .
If any person is in Christ the old things will pass away and all things will become new [Yes a whole new start waits for you friend right now.
This did take place when I found the person of Jesus Christ and discovered after a long time searching.[Often called been born again]
So i found that God had sent his son Jesus to this earth to live a sinless life then take all my sins [and the sins of all mankind] on himself he suffered and took my sins and the punishment I deserved [and all mankind’s] by dyeing on the cross for me.[and you ].
Then three days later God raised him from the dead so that I could also receive eternal life.
By finding and putting my faith in this person of Jesus Christ.
I was forgiven all my sins
I found peace with God the purpose [or reason if you like] that God put me on this earth.
I also received the free gift of God eternal life
Along with all of this then real fulfilment and purpose .and that was slowly shown to me by the Lord as God showed me his will and his will and purpose for my life.
He changed my life slowly taking away all my frustrations torment loneliness he dealt with my bad habits and I have seen thousands of times when I have called on him and seen him answer my prayers
Do I have a exclusive right to this God?
No .
Was there something special about me my talents or righteous life that God would do this for Max Lines ?
A huge No !!!to that notion .
Is God there for all people no matter how bad good no matter the colour of there skin poor or rich or no matter how rotten or tormented a person is because of there life style ?
A HUGE YES wow that is great news if it was no then no one would be saved .

I declare to you that in my darkest moments of this life since that time and i have had a lot , like seeing some get murdered in front of me [the killers were later convicted and jailed ] that his peace love purpose and will and the assurance that he is with me has always be there in this life and the next to come can you say that ?
I can .
If not my friend then you need to start today, seek him in prayer you are a sinner and you need to ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of every all the sins you have ever committed [You do not have to name them all you’ll probably be there for a week or two] there is no other way to access to the holy God and make your peace with him but through the act of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ who died on the cross in your place.
There is no financial gain or other motive for me sharing this with you other than I have the greatest treasure that I wont you to find also.
I was never brainwashed into been a Christian as I never went to a church before been converted .
I am writing and sharing this form a pure motive for all to read because I have the greatest treasure in the world peace with God and eternal life PLEASE I beg you don’t let this moment pass you by Jesus is calling to you right now give up you struggling torment and make you peace with him today .Jesus is waiting right now for you to call out his name in prayer repent of your sins and ask him to give you a whole new life a whole new start and he will then start reading the new testament in the bible and he will reveal more of himself to you .

DEATH

LETS FACE IT---- WE DON'T LIKE TO FACE IT .

I recently played trumpet a an funeral service of a friend [this was Dave who passed after a short battle with cancer] and spoke at the service
Most people do not like to talk about or face the issue of death.
Can’t blame them its never that pleasant.
But in having faith in Christ he won the victory over death and the grave.
He faced death head on our behalf were he got the victory over death and the grave, when he rose again from the grave this was called the resurrection.
Jesus stated that if we believe in him we will not die but live with him for eternity .
How do we know because he rose on the third day .This is the hope of every one who puts there faith and trust in Jesus Christ .

Isaiah the prophet in the bible spoke of the victory Christ would win over death some 600 years before Jesus was even born read what he said about Jesus and his victory over the grave and death.
Isaiah 25
8 He will swallow up death forever,
And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people
He will take away from all the earth;
For the LORD has spoken.
9 And it will be said in that day:
“Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the LORD;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
Do you see that in v 8 that is what Jesus did when he was resurrected.
Friend If you are a skeptic then ask Christ to show you pray a simple prayer today to Jesus .
I could give you a prayer but I am not going to, say it in your own words.
Start talking to God in your own words God looks at your heart friend not if your on your knees, not if your are great speaker, not if your in some fancy cathedral ,this is just you and him but no matter how you go about it start talking to him that’s what prayer is if you call on him he will answer and it will probably not be in the way that you or I think he will .But what ever you do face it death will come to us all are you ready for eternity

Growing in God

Do you wont to grow ?

Over the last 9 months i have set a goal of doing one hour bible study a day 7 days a week .
I set a alarm count down and eliminate as many of life's distractions cell phone off check land line off check .
The worst distraction I find is the computer and cell phone's or to most probably iPhone but I don't have one at this point in time .

I lead a busy life raising my 9 year old grandson as a solo granddad .
Cooking shopping washing cleaning also playing trumpet on the street and transporting to from school looking after two dogs a cat and some pet birds .
I have other interests and help other people also that come across my path .
Also write those bog posts.
like most of us in the west life is very busy .
Hay I understand were your at .

I can do this .

Well most days I do my one hour study some time I only make a half hour .
But the more I do this the more of a habit it becomes there is discipline involved .
As I am getting older 63 it keeps my mind sharp my spirit on fire for God and my soul well feed spiritually .
I have been reading the bible for 35 years and every time I study its like going to a river to pan for gold and every now and then finding new nuggets of truth is a real delight as the holy spirit reveals them to me .

If I can do this so can you !

Maybe you can set a new goal now for this year 2017 .

Friend I don't know how busy your life is or what your personal circumstances are, but there is one thing I can tell you regular studies of Gods word the bible will enrich your life and change you from the inside out .
You will never get the spiritual food you need to grow looking at some game on a computer screen watching TV or staring blankly at a IPhone .
I have a lot of concerns for our younger folk who are now becoming Christian s will they grow ?

God communicates to humanity through a few different ways but one of the primarily is with out doubt through his word the bible .
Matthew 4:4
. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
We need GOOD food for the natural body but we need GOOD food for our spirit .
Make sure you do not neglect your spiritual vitamins daily .
Personally i love my studies time and my soul and spirit is growing fat and that's the way i like it .
I hope you will to please be encouraged to read and study your bible .

LASTLY

“The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.” (Prov 20:4)

Ask yourself '' If a calamity comes today will I be ready will my lamp be filled with oil ''?

If your life is not bearing fruit for God this could be one of the reasons .
I do not won't to be a condemning judgmental Christian and I only preach what I practice myself .
I just find it so sad that countless millions are missing out on such a tressure don't be one of those .

The fall of Lucifer

Who said I will be like the most high?

Well many a man has tried to become like God.

There is a popular teaching especially amounts the new age movement that we can become like God or are God

So going back to my original question who said I WILL be like the most high?

It was the Lucifer [see scriptures below] an angel of God cherubim an angel of praise who was worshiping in the holy place before the throne of God.

Why Satan perverts music on earth .

Ever wondered why so much music has satanic themes in it because Satan has a great interest in music as he was the angel of praise before he fell so he enters the heart of musicians and uses this gift he once had to worship God to pervert mankind.

This is especially so in a lot of heavy rock music not all hay and some rock is rather cool it’s the lyrics and spirit behind it that makes it that draws the distinction.

Do you really think the song ‘’ Highway to hell ‘’will be heard in Gods throne room in heaven?

Our will or God’s will

How many times did Lucifer say I will?

Isaiah 14 V 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.

Let’s look at the fall of Lucifer as recorded in Isaiah 14

V 12

“How you are fallen from heaven,

O Lucifer, son of the morning!

How you are cut down to the ground,

You who weakened the nations!

for you have said in your heart:

‘I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;

I will also sit on the mount of the congregation

On the farthest sides of the north;

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.’

Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,

To the lowest depths of the Pit

Notice that Satan said in his rebellion I WILL five times

[Word Sheol means hell ]

Satan the father of lies

So who pulled out this same cheap trick and cause mankind to fall into sin in the Garden of Eden?

That’s right Satan when he came to the woman as a serpent and said in

Genesis chapter 3 v5

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

v 5

“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Do you see that YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD and then came the fall of man into sin

Satan is the father of all lies and he is the master of deception.

What a cheap trick and were did he get it from?

He got it from his own fall from the throne of God .

When ever we as Christians start this I WILL then lets consider its not I WILL BUT HIS WILL.

Hay and I have said the I will many times as we all have but it’s a case of constantly reminding myself not to and it's his will that I need to full fill ..

That we should be putting first his will not ours.

Jesus said in teaching his disciples to pray in the Lords prayer

Your kingdom come. Your will be done

So from all of this study we can learn those valuable lessons

1 Any religion or faith or even preacher church that teachers you can be God is in danger of been cut down God hates this.

This can lead to total anarchy and destruction also such as the people who started to worship Hitler and many other tyrants some still on the face of this earth North Korea been one of the worst demanding God worship of there leader.

2 We especially in the west are taught over and over about our dreams our will do it our way hang on what about his way his will.

It’s not about our will friends it’s about his will and his plans for our lives and his way so lets GFI [Go for it] his way.

Final Thought

Lastly I have talked a lot about Satan his lies deception and his rebellion before God.

So to make sure I do not give him any glory this will be his end because of the work at Calvary by our Lord Jesus Christ.

God will have the last say concerning were Satan and all who follow him well dwell for eternity.

The gift of Sleep

Psalm 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.

God wants to give us the gift of sleep.
You are his beloved and good sleep is essential for both good physical and mental health.

Don’t be robed of Gods gift to you.

As Christians, we can learn so much from the bible.

But a word of warning there is very little point in reading the instruction manual on life then going away and not applying it to our lives.

Have I done that?

Sure every Christian has at some point .

But by hiding the word of God in our hearts the Holy Spirit he will bring it to our notice at the appropriate time.

Psalm 119:11 your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you

Psalm 119:105 your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Lets acknowledge the gifts that God gives to his beloved children and take full advantage of there benefits.

God longs to bless and do us all good .

Some practical advice

I will share with you now something I have discovered .
If I allow it then I will be robed of Gods gift of sleep.
This was pointed out to me by health professionals some years ago.

I am sure it will be help full to you also
It is to stay away from caffeine and sugar and other stimulants after 12 pm.

Coffee, Tea and Coke and worse still energy drinks are very bad in this regard also candy chocolate and foods high in sugar add alcohol and or illegal drugs and you really have not got a show of a good nights rest .
Get in control your the boss of your temple .
Don’t get angry at God if you wake up grumpy [or your wife or husband ] you will be the one who is robbing yourself of the gift he has for you .

I have friend who often works right through to 3 am well that person drinks 16 cups of tea a day so its not surprising with that much caffeine in the system any sleep would ever be possible at all !

Sleep deprivation is a painful condition both mentally and physically and has been used as a form of torture to extract secrets from spies and so on it is no joke it is a very serious condition.

I have experienced some very serious sleep deprivation at one stage of my life I will not go into the circumstances but I will assure you it is agony and I would not wish it on any one.

It was never Gods purpose plan and will that we should suffer in this way it is Satan who comes to rob steal and destroy.
But sadly millions of Christians fall for his wicked plans and also make mistakes and rob themselves .
The Christian church should be leading the word in areas such as this not the opposite way around .
So do be wary and in control of those stimulants and sugars .

Stay away from bad news

Psalm 127 V 2

It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep

What is the bread of sorrows?

Well it is found in the media try sitting up late watching the late night news and listing to talk back radio then get on the internet there's a great feast of sorrows to be had.

Avoid the bad news before sleep .

Sadly as humans we gravitate to this stuff and marketers no the power of those juicy morsels of destruction that’s why they pay countless millions to display there products along side all the doom and gloom of this world.

Rape ,murders, wars ,suicides, political tensions, earth quakes, refuge crisis’s and so much more juicy delights are dished up right before bed time to entice us into more depression and anxiety .

Do we need to be informed?

Yes

Before sleeping?

No
So don't sit around feeding your mind and spirit on the bad news it’s a receipt for insomnia.
The bead of sorrows will rob you of the gift God has for you sleep .

If you lie in bed thinking on some difficulty in your life or in the world this will also rob you of sleep protect and train your mind don't ever underestimate the value of this principle
Sleep time is switch off time for your mind that has been pounded with information in this high tech world .

Get control of your mind

Any one can do this you might won’t to alter a few things as what works well for one person will not always work well for another but the principle is to take control you are the boss of your thoughts not the other way around.

You also have a big God who will help you and never leave you so take control think on good stuff its scriptural

Replace those thoughts of bad news and worry with psalm 23 start saying confessing

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
²He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
³He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

⁴Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

⁵You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
⁶Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Read it memorize it repeat it to yourself over and over and out loud if you can and picture in your mind a lovely river where there is a blue sky and still water this might be a place you know and have great memory’s of.
Now see and feel your self sitting enjoying the sun enjoying the river the place psalm 23 talks about get into the presence of God .

Don’t picture a place you might have had a bad experience at some point in time or the power of association will come in to play and things will go from bad to worse, soon you will be back were you started from .

I developed this method and I use this often

If you try this your mind will switch back to the worrying thoughts in the early stages that’s because you mind has been in control not you so begin to practice and over time you will train it .
So who’s in control here YOU ARE .
Regular practice and training of your mind is like exercise to your physical body and in time this method along with Psalm 23 will help you but if you have not tried this before it will take effort persistence and time to see results don't force it just be patience .

Don’t forget you have a friend who is there to help

Jesus shoulders are a lot broader and stronger that mine or yours.
So cast all your cares on him before you sleep pray hand over and ask him to take any concerns he is there for you

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

If you have never asked God for the gift of sleep he talks about in the psalm 127 v2 then isn't it time you asked him ?
Ask and it will be given seek and you shall find knock and the door will be open .

I can never understate it enough .

God cares and loves us all and wants’ to do us good so lets not rob our very own heavenly father of the gifts he has fore us .

The Bible Promises Wisdom and Guidance

This post is simply the scriptures that the Lord gives to assure you that he will guide and direct you .
Your part is to commit you ways to him and seek him in prayer .
Wisdom is one of God's promises. It's in the Bible, James 1:5, NKJV. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
God gives wisdom and guides us. It's in the Bible, Psalms 32:8, KJV. "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
Don't look to yourself for wisdom. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 3:5-7, NKJV. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil."
God promises to guide you on His pathway. It's in the Bible, Isaiah 30:21, KJV. "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."
Note Gods guidance has a condition attached you must commit your ways to him .
How to toy do that ?
Simply put aside you own ways s of doing things pray commit the plans and wait on him for direction .

And please don't turn up at church on Sunday bleating about how spiritually dry you feel make some good choices and changes right now take action .

The hall marks of this man were faith and totally incredible signs and wonders following his preaching that are still talked about today .

The use of our tongue

Our tongues are so very powerful .

What a weapon the human tongue is, how powerful it can be for good or evil to build up or break down, to destroy or create.

Hitler was a single little Austrian upstart and yet he became the most powerful evil murdering man this world has sadly encountered.

What was his most powerful weapon?

Think about it through his mouth he inspired a whole nation to make war on the world and commanded and inspired his men to carry out the most appalling atrocities.

He was a short and odd looking little runt he did not have much going as far as good looks were concerned, with his ridiculous matching moustache.
So how did he gain such a following?
He found power in his speech making and used his tongue for evil.

That shows the bible is truth when it says the tongue can be used like a piercing sword.
But there have been more good men and women [ thank the Lord ] who have used the tongue and speech to bring about good to millions.
I am sure you can think of many .
The founder of the Salvation Army was one of those [William Booth].
So what dose God say about the power of the tongue?

Proverbs 12 v 18

There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.

God shares this truth that our tongues can be like a sword and a sword can cut wound and damage.
But if we are wise our tongue can bring health, blessing encouragement.

PRAYER

Lord help us to use our tongue to bring Blessing health and healing every day in Jesus name amen

God Loves Animals

God loves animals and God hates the abuse of his creatures .

There has been a huge out cry on social media at the shooting of Cecil the lion .
I am not going far with this issue as I fell every thing that ever needed to be said and done has already happened via face book posts and the main stream media .
I am sure we have all read many of the comments on dozens of FB posts .
Every view point on the matter been expressed .
.

As a result there has been some good positive action's taken to protect those creatures God has made .
And Congratulations to Delta airlines who have banned the transporting on trophy's from game hunting .
May other airlines and transport providers take a stand also .

My blog is about bible truth and one of my aims is to show how biblical truth is still relevant in todays world .
So I would like to share this proverb that stuck with me when reading of Cecil's fate
Proverbs 12 v 10 states

A righteous man regards the life of his animal,
But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

There is a responsibility towards animals for us all to do the best for those creatures .
The truth is God loves and made animals and in the first book of the bible it states ''God gave man dominion over them ''
Genesis 1:26.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God use's strong language about those who abuse animal's such people are WICKED and CRUEL.
Gods tells us his truth as it is he dose not mince his words .
Clearly mankind has domination over them but that is not to be abused .
I will leave this issue there, we all must think and act on what his word teachers us .
God is watching nothing is hidden from him .
