I perpetually worship Sri Nityananda, the root of the tree of Krishna-Bhakti, who wandering around in Bengal approached the door of every home. With upraised arms he exclaimed: "O Brothers! Traditional
Hindu scriptures view history as cyclical in character, with vast repeating
series of ages. Each age has its own particular
qualities. Interestingly, this system seems to be taken literally by modern
Yoga masters such as Swami Muktananda, Baba Hari Dass, Swami Vishnu Tirtha, and
so on. As a Western devotee, I found myself wondering exactly what the full system of Hindu cycles

What actually is non-violence?

Gary and Richard (now Radhanath Swami) were at France and wondered where to go now. Richard replied they surrender to God’s will. Hitch hiking, they reached Geneva and befriended Jim. Richard revealed how he had been accidently left out by the draft board. Later Jim’s belongings got stolen and Gary wondered if the both of them were bad luck as others are troubled because of their association

Radha Madhava, Mayapur, India

Q. I have a "natural" tendency to be very critical and hence find mistakes/faults in people. Most of the time, I find fault with people at the mental level and not necessarily express it. This habit also extends to devotees. I feel and know I am not supposed to do this. But, like I said, this has become a habit and I am finding it hard to relinquish it.In this whole process, I know I am wrong

"Toxic Vocabulary"

I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success. One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. On the occasion of Sri Krishna Pusya abhisheka, Sri Sri Radha-Madhava were offered flower outfits. Preparations for making the outfit began a few days ago. During the past one week, under the dedicated planning, organizing and designing of HG Ramadevi mataji, the clothes designing, stitching of outfits, making butterflies and satin ribbons were done.

New Year Resolutions

Srila A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's sannyasa guru, Srila Bhaki-prajnana Kesava Maharaja said, "Due to the eternal nature of Sri Sri Damodarastaka, it is necessary to study it every day during the month of Karttika (or Damodara)." The following passages describing this bhajan are taken from Sri Sanatana Gosvamipada's commentary on the DAMODARASTAKAM:
Kartik Vrata: What day was Damodara
