RIVERSIDE, Calif. – With the 2013 AMA Motocross race season just days away, the N-Fab/TiLUBE/Yamaha team today announced the talented group of riders who will be contesting the entire 12-race series this summer. Headlining the four-rider team will 450 class racers Phillip Nicoletti, Chris Blose and Bobby Kiniry. Complimenting this trio will be six-time WMX national champion Jessica Patterson. Final preparations are being done and the team is looking forward to getting things off on the right foot this Saturday, May 18 at the Red Bull Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, Calif.
Phil Nicoletti (Bethel, New York),Chris Blose (Phoenix) and Bobby Kiniry (Holland Patent, New York) will pilot the revolutionary Yamaha YZ450F across the American countryside as they look to make their mark on the 2013 season. Jessica Patterson (Tallahassee, Florida) will pilot the Yamaha YZ250F in the WMX class looking to add a seventh title to her resume.
Team Manager Allan Brown is certainly excited about contesting the complete motocross series with such a talented team, “We are hoping for good things out of the 23 year old Phil Nicoletti who showed tremendous potential in 2012, capping off the motocross season with a string of top 10 finishes in the 450 class,” said Brown. “I have worked with Chris Blose in Supercorss for several years now and this will be his return to Motocross. He is hungry and wants to show everyone he is not just a Supercross rider. Bobby Kiniry is the veteran of the team and we hope he will be able to show what heart and detrmination are all about. As for Jessica Patterson, we have already won three national titles together and are certainly looking to add another!”
Brown went on to say team will also be offering limited support to Gareth Swanepoel (South Africa) on a race-by-race basis. “As a former outdoor moto winner we are happy he (Swanepoel) is running our graphics on his own program,” said Brown. “By racing and being prepared, should an opportunity arise, he could quickly and easily step into that role. We’re looking forward to a successful season not only for Nicoletti, Blose, Kiniry and Patterson, but also for Swanepoel.”

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – It was announced today that Thunder Valley Motocross Park, host of the second round of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, has signed Rockwell Watches to serve as title sponsor of the Thunder Valley National scheduled for Saturday, May 25, in Lakewood.
Thunder Valley Motocross Park has hosted a round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship since the 2005 season. The 2013 campaign signifies the earliest the track has ever been in the championship, moving up one round from last season. In its eight seasons as a stop in the world’s most prestigious motocross series, Thunder Valley has been the sight of many memorable moments, including the first ever motocross national to be run at night during the 2008 season.

Due to the thinner air, the motorcycles must be adjusted to perform at their peak despite trying atmospheric conditions. Cobra Moto salutes its Amateur National Arenacross Championship champs!

Cobra Moto racers rack up the titles at Las Vegas’ South Point Arena this past weekend, led by New York’s Reed Cooper who won both 50cc & 65cc titles!

LAS VEGAS (May 10, 2013) – The 14^th annual AMSOIL AMA Amateur National Arenacross Championship had a decided Cobra Moto appeal to it in the junior classes as kids on their American-made Cobras nailed national AMA titles in three 50cc class championship divisions, as well as a national title in the 65cc class.

New York’s Reed Cooper was the top dog for Cobra at the ANAC, taking division titles in both the hotly-contested 65cc 7-9 class, as well as the overall No. 1 position in the 50cc class’ senior 7-8 division. Cobra Moto’s Dane Morales (Calif.) – who doubles as one of the nation’s top young BMX racers when he’s not ripping on his King 50 - would reign supreme in the 50cc 4-6 class. And Pennsylvania’s Cole Bader would add Cobra Moto’s impressive fourth title with an overall victory in the 50cc 4-8 class.

Adding solid podium finishes for Cobra Moto at the ANAC were California’s Ty Freehill, who was the runner-up in both the 7-8 50cc and the 4-8 50cc classes. New York’s Ryder Cooper, Reed Cooper’s younger brother, placed 2^nd in the 4-6 50cc class and California’s Chandler Jones rounded out Cobra’s scoring at the ANAC with a 3^rd place finish in the 7-9 65cc class.

MX Royalty to Attend MX Rewind at Unadilla

New Berlin, New York - Fifteen former racing legends, with countless International and National Motocross Championships to their names, have once again committed to attend and participate at MX Rewind at Unadilla, which is taking place June 14-16, 2013.
Returning to Unadilla will be a familiar voice who called all the races in the 1970s and 1980s ---- Larry Maiers. Maiers voice will once again be heard at Unadilla as he calls the races of the legends and lends his hand as Master of Ceremonies at the various bench racing sessions. Back on the bike, the racing legends will be led by "Bad Brad" Lackey, the first American to win a World Championship, Danny "The Door" LaPorte, who became the second American World Champion, and Trampas Parker, the third American to win a World Championship and the only one to do it twice. The list of legends is both long and distinguished and reads like a whose-who of Motocross.
Joining the three American World Champions will be Gary "The Professor" Bailey, John "The Flyin' Hawaiian" DeSoto, New Jersey's own Mickey Kessler, Warren Reid, Gary Semics, and New York's own Jimmy "The Jammer" Weinert (1974 and 1975 500cc National Champion).
From the more recent era of the 1980s and 1990s, we have Guy Cooper (1990 125cc National Champion), Ryan "Ryno" Hughes (1st place overall in the 125cc National at Unadilla in 1994 and 1995), Shaun Kalos, "The Dogger" Ron Lechien (a member of the winning U.S. team at the 1985 and 1988 MX des Nations and 1985 125cc National Champion, as well as winner of the 1984 USGP at Unadilla), Nate Ramsey, and Jeff Stanton (a member of the winning U.S. MX des Nations teams in 1989,1990, and 1991, 250cc National Champion in 1989, 1990, and 1992, and winner of the Unadilla 250cc USGP in 1990,1991, and 1992).

MEDFORD, Ore.- Being out of the gate first can add up to big money for riders in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, which will kick off May 18 at the Hangtown MX Classic in Sacramento, Calif., because Motorcycle-Superstore.com will again stake the holeshot award for both the 450cc and 250cc classes.
"The holeshot is such a vital part of success in a motocross race," said Motorcycle Superstore Director of Sports Marketing Tim Clark. "We're adding a little extra incentive for the riders out there, which we think will add to the fun and excitement for the fans."
In a switch from conventional holeshot awards, this year's riders will have a chance to collect four points per race in each of the 12 stops on the outdoor circuit this year. Moto 1 will be worth one point, Moto 2 will be worth two, and a rider who sweeps both holeshots will get a bonus point. The rider with the most points at the end of the season will collect the bonus money, which is $25,000 for the 450cc class and $15,000 for the 250cc class.
"Sponsoring the holeshot awards have become a signature feature for Motorcycle Superstore," Clark said. "We've made our mark in prestigious amateur races like the Loretta Lynn's and the Ricky Carmichael race in Daytona and we wanted to bring that same excitement to the pro level."
The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship season gets underway next Saturday at the Hangtown MX Classic and will conclude Aug. 24 at the Lake Elsinore National in Lake Elsinore, Calif.

Irvine, Calif. – (May 9, 2013) – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Adam Cianciarulo will be on the gate for the entire 2013 AMA Pro Motocross season with today’s announcement that the 16-year-old rider will make his professional debut on May18th at Hangtown. Cianciarulo will race for one of the most decorated teams in AMA motocross history as he joins the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki stable riding the No. 292 Kawasaki KX™250F.
“I can’t wait for the season to start,” said Cianciarulo. “This is something I’ve been dreaming about since I saw my first ever supercross race when I was 4 years old. To be able to race for Mitch Payton and the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team is an honor. I am looking to learn a lot this year because everyone knows how good this team is and I know my job is to put more number one plates on the door of the truck.”
Cianciarulo is following in the footsteps of some of the greatest riders in the history of the sport as he makes the transition from Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green to race professionally. While an amateur, the Port Orange, Fla. native became the winningest mini-bike rider in the history of the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s with 11 championships. After winning four titles at Loretta’s in the last two years, Cianciarulo put his name in the record books ahead of superstars like Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto.
“Adam is a testament to Kawasaki’s Team Green amateur racing program,” said Senior Manager of Kawasaki Racing Reid Nordin. “Like many supercross and motocross champions, Adam has grown up on green and I am excited to see how he continues to mature as a professional.”
Cianciarulo last raced his KX250F at the Monster Energy Cup in October in the Amateur All Star class where he finished second overall after finishing fifth in the first race and winning the second race. Following the Monster Energy Cup, Cianciarulo was injured and did not return to riding until February of this year. Since then he has been training to achieve his goal of lining up at the 2013 AMA Pro Motocross opener at Hangtown.
“Obviously we have been watching Adam for a long time,” said Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Mitch Payton. “He is a special kid who will bring a lot to the team this summer. I know he has been working hard all spring to get ready to race and we are going to provide him with the best equipment on the track. It will also help him to have veteran teammates like Blake (Baggett), Martin (Davalos), Dean (Wilson) and Tyla (Rattray) who can help him as he makes the jump to professional racing.”

Veterans Eligible for Free Admission at the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 9, 2013) – Thanks to an initiative with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), active and retired military veterans will once again have the opportunity to attend any round of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, at no cost.
The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross event promoters have donated 50 General Admission tickets for each of the 12 rounds of the Nationals to Vet Tix, which will be available to all military veterans through VetTix.org.

Murrieta, CA – KTM Motorsports is proud to announce the launch of a new KTM-backed support team for the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series, the FMF/Orange Brigade/KTM Racing Team, which will feature 250 Motocross rider Joey Savatgy and will be overseen by Team Coordinator James Coy.
After the announcement of the collapse of the JDR/J-Star/KTM Team, KTM Motorsports and FMF Racing combined efforts to create a team for Savatgy, recently named the AMA Rookie of the Year.

Bel-Ray racers Tommy Searle, Alessandro Lupino, and Jimmy Decotis were all in attendance, fit and ready to compete against the best racers in the world.

In MX1 competition, Tommy Searle overcame the pain from a finger injury suffered early in the day to score a strong sixth place in the opening moto. Searle again showed he is one of the top riders in the world in the second moto as he came through the field after a mid-pack start to finish just off the podium in 4th place. Searle was credited with a 5th overall for the event. “In the first moto I took a stone on the middle finger of my left hand; the ligament was broken so the race was tough but I managed to finish sixth. I was wondering if it would be OK for the second race, but the pain subsided after a couple of laps and I was able to charge to fourth place. The track here is always demanding, but it was much more difficult in the tight corners with a 450 than with a 250, particularly with my hand injury.”

The MX2 class was not as kind to Bel-Ray racers Lupino and Decotis. Lupino suffered a crash in the first moto while he was in a top ten position and was credited a 21st place finish. He charged back strong in the second moto to score a 7th place finish and valuable championship points. Lupino spoke about the day following his second moto. “I felt good on the bike this weekend and had a good feeling with the track but I was unlucky and didn’t get the results I deserved. I was not feeling 100% for the second moto, but nevertheless I finished seventh.”

Lupino’s teammate, American racer Jimmy Decotis, is still adapting to life across the Atlantic and struggled for a top finish. He is optimistically looking forward to the rest of the season and continues to work hard preparing for each weekend. “I’ve worked hard with the team since Bulgaria, but again this weekend I had difficulty with the track,” said Decotis. “I had the worst place on the grid and crashed during the opening lap of race one, then in race two I started last and finished twenty-first; for sure it’s not what I and the team are expecting but we’ll continue to work until we get there.”

AURORA, Ill. (May 3, 2013) – Feld Motor Sports announced today that the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season will feature 17 races inside North America’s most renowned football and baseball stadiums. For the first time ever the Monster Energy Supercross checkered flags will drop inside the greater New York Metropolitan area’s MetLife Stadium. In addition, Detroit’s Ford Field will be returning to the Monster Energy Supercross schedule.

Tickets for the 2014 Monster Energy Supercross season will once again be offered first to Cross Club Members, beginning on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 following the 2013 season finale in Las Vegas. The state-of-the-art MetLife Stadium, in the greater New York Metropolitan area, is not only one of the newest venues in the country, but it sits on one of the most iconic pieces of land in the history of major sports competition. For over 30 years, The Meadowlands, which was torn down a few years ago and replaced with the beautiful MetLife Stadium, has been the site of some of the biggest events in sports and entertainment, including a five-year period with Monster Energy Supercross in the late 80s and early 90s. MetLife Stadium will play host to the penultimate stop of the 2014 Monster Energy Supercross season on April 26.

“I’m looking forward to the new stops during the 2014 Monster Energy Supercross season,” said newly crowned three-time defending champion Ryan Villopoto. “I think it'll be good to race in some new stadiums. There's a big racing community in the Northeast, which should draw a big crowd. Just like in Seattle, being that far north in the winter, the weather will likely play a part in the dirt and temperature. It'll be cool to go somewhere new with no expectations. Every stop we go to is unique, but I'd say the racing tends to get better on the East Coast because the dirt allows us to push a little harder.”

The “Motor City” has not hosted a Monster Energy Supercross race since the 2008 season. The stadium will once again serve as the host site of the Detroit stop for the fourth time, as the 11^th race of the season on March 15. Monster Energy Supercross has raced in the Detroit area for 32 years, dating back to 1976. The first 29 years were hosted in nearby Pontiac, inside the legendary Silverdome.

Continuing from a timeline that spans across four decades, Angel Stadium, in Anaheim, Calif., will once again host three races, including the season opener on January 4. The proverbial home of Monster Energy Supercross has hosted a total of 60 races in the 40-year history of the sport and will extend its legacy as the most visited venue of all time.

Legends and Heroes to Honor Kevin Windham at Las Vegas

The 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season is about to wrap up in Las Vegas, and the Legends and Heroes Tour is ready to close out the season by honoring the venerable number 14 - Kevin "K-Dub" Windham, who has been called the best and most consistent rider to have never won a national championship, while coming in a close second in five separate seasons.

Kevin first began riding motorcycles at the age of three, and hasn't been able to step off two-wheels since. Not only did he have an impressive professional career, but he also was very successful in the amateur rankings. After many successful years of working his way up the amateur classes, Kevin Windham won both the 125cc A Modified and the 250cc Open A Modified divisions at Loretta Lynn's, setting a new lap record, grabbing his seventh and eighth amateur national titles, and extending his personal win streak at Loretta Lynn's to eighteen consecutive motos.

Kevin Windham, who is now 35 years old, began his pro career at age 17 with a Kawasaki support ride, which assisted him in becoming the highly acclaimed AMA "Rookie of the Year" and helped land him a full factory ride for Yamaha by the end of the 1994 season. He has raced for many factory teams during his pro career, and although Kevin has never held an AMA Pro national championship, this legend holds several titles, including back-to-back AMA 125 West Supercross Championships in 1996 and 1997, the 1999 United States Grand Prix of Motocross held at Budds Creek, Maryland and the 2005 Motocross des Nations team championship.

The man is a true champion and fan favorite. He has given so much to our sport as a racer and continues to be a great ambassador of motocross and Supercross. Anderson Scores First Career Supercross Victory in Salt Lake City

FARMINGDALE, N.J. (April 29, 2013) ― The 2013 Monster Energy Supercross Series reached its penultimate round this past weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday night. Bel-Ray racer Jason Anderson reached a milestone event in his professional racing career with his first Supercross main event victory in the 250 class. Anderson’s Rockstar Energy Racing teammate Davi Millsaps continued his podium streak with a solid 2nd place finish in the 450 class main event.

Anderson’s night began well enough after scoring the third fastest time during afternoon qualifying and winning a strong 2nd place finish in his heat race, but it was during the main event when he was really able to shine. The clutch on his Bel-Ray Lubricants powered Suzuki hooked up well off the line, and he entered the first turn in a top five position. In 2nd place after lap one, Anderson was close to the early race leader Zach Osborne and checked out from the field. Anderson then rode a consistent, flawless race to take the checkered flag for the first Supercross victory of his professional racing career. Anderson’s teammate, Ryan Sipes, scored a 7th place finish in only his second race after returning from an early season injury.

In 450 class racing, Bel-Ray sponsored Rockstar Energy Racing’s Davi Millsaps came into Salt Lake City following his tenth podium of the season the previous week in Seattle. Millsaps looked good all night long, including during a confident win in his heat race over series champion Ryan Villopoto. In the main event, Millsaps again started well and was into 2nd place by the third lap. For the entire 20 lap main event, Millsaps was close to the leader, closing each lap with a fantastic drive through the challenging whoop section. In the end, he simply ran out of time, was unable to make the pass to first place, and had to settle for a hard-fought 2nd place. Millsaps remains in 2nd place in the series standings heading into the finals next weekend in Las Vegas.

Bel-Ray powered RCH Racing again put in an excellent night of racing with team riders Josh Hill and Broc Tickle scoring top 15 place finishes. Hill’s 7th place was the best finish of his season, while Tickle’s consistent 11th keeps him inside the top 10 in the series standings. “I got a decent start in the Main and made a few quick passes to gain some spots,” Hill said. “I got up into the top 10 early and that helped. The race start was so hard if you were starting outside of the first few gates because it was such a short straightaway and tight left-hand turn. Guys would just bang into each other. Riders with the first eight gate picks chose the inside. It was a battle.”

“It was a solid start in the Main until I went down,” Tickle said. “I was riding ninth and about to pass Andrew Short but skipped over a couple of the whoops and crashed pretty good. So I got up, got in behind (Trey) Canard and just started picking guys off that I had lost positions to earlier.”

SPOKANE, WA (April 24, 2013) - MotoConcepts Racing by Smartop rider Mike Alessi will miss the remaining two rounds of the AMA Supercross season. Alessi will not be racing the Salt Lake or Las Vegas rounds in order to dedicate testing time on his MCR450 for the Nationals.

“It’s a unique situation whereby we have new technology for the 450 that requires a great deal of attention and testing time to develop,” explains Team Manager Tony Alessi. “Mike had decent results in the Supercross series but our goals for the Nationals are much higher. The team needs additional testing to best develop the 450 technology, and all of us, from Mike, to the team, to our sponsors want to be back on the podium.”

“Last year we had a great run in the Nationals, finishing second overall with solid moto finishes. I got great starts, ran up front and won a moto last year but expect more from myself coming into this season,” says Mike Alessi while testing at Comp Edge on Tuesday. “Without testing support or factory backing I need to develop the MCR450 and, with the new parts we are using, it’s best to get as much track time as possible.”

Millsaps Scores Tenth Podium of Season at Seattle Supercross

FARMINGDALE, N.J. (April 24, 2013) -The 2013 Monster Energy Supercross Series continued this weekend in Seattle, Washington, with round 15 of the 17-round series. Bel-Ray racer Davi Millsaps scored his 10th podium of the season with a solid third place in the rainy conditions.

Millsaps' podium finish allowed him to jump back into second place in the series standings, just one point ahead of series rival Ryan Dungey. Millsaps night began well with a victory in his heat race, and he backed it up with a solid twenty lap main event for a strong third place finish. “It was a great night though and it was my 10th podium of the year so I’m pretty stoked on that, said Millsaps following the main event. “Also my 7th heat race win. It’s just been an awesome season. I know I lost the points lead, then dropped to 3rd, and now I’m back to 2nd, but it doesn’t matter. It’s been a great run and the best of the best are all in this class right now and we’re all near the front.”

In the 450-class racing, Bel-Ray sponsored RCH Racing duo Josh Hill and Broc Tickle rode excellent races, overcoming adversity throughout the day. Hill qualified directly from his heat race into the main event, but he went down in the first turn at the beginning of the main event. He quickly remounted and charged through the field for an eventual 12th place finish. His teammate, Broc Tickle, was forced to qualify into the main event through the last-chance qualifier after a crash in his heat race. Despite a starting position on the outside of the gate, Tickle came through the field for his seventh top-ten finish of the season.

Bel-Ray-sponsored Rockstar Energy Racing fielded two racers in the 250 class this weekend. The West Coast Series started up following the nine-week break for the East Coast Series. Jason Anderson struggled with the difficult track conditions to score a 10th-place finish. With two rounds remaining, Anderson is currently in 5th place in the series standings. Despite being fast all day, a poor start in the main event meant that he was buried in the pack during the main event. Anderson’s teammate, Ryan Sipes, made his return to racing following a hand injury suffered earlier this season. He ran up front early in the main event, but the time off forced him to tighten up, though he held on for a credible 7th-place finish at the checkered flag.

RacerTV returns in 2013 with coverage of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series and the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship. This year's platform features a 15-week television package on NBC Sports Network, as well as a full-schedule of racing on RacerTV.com - all brought to viewers by this year's television sponsors AMSOIL, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Can-Am.

This year's 15-week television package on NBC Sports Network begins this weekend, April 14 and runs through November. NBC Sports Network will air 13 episodes of GNCC Racing, as well as an additional two episodes of ATV Motocross Nationals.

Bel-Ray Racers Score Two Podium Finishes at Minneapolis Supercross

The 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series continued on Saturday night at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bel-Ray racers scored victories in three of the four heat races and were rewarded with two podium finishes in the evening’s main events.

Bel-Ray-backed Rockstar Energy racing’s Blake Wharton continued the momentum he gained from last week’s Houston Supercross victory to score a strong win in the first 250SX heat race of the night. He started the main event inside the top five and battled early on with his competitors before settling into a third-place finish and his fifth podium of the season.

Bel-Ray racers won both 450SX heat races of the evening, with RCH Racing’s Josh Hill scoring the victory in the first heat race and Rockstar Energy’s Davi Millsaps taking the victory in the second. Hill’s success was especially inspirational, as it marked his first heat race victory since recovering from multiple injuries suffered over the past two years.

The main event began with both Hill and Millsaps inside the top five. Millsaps quickly got by Hill and moved into third place, a position he would hold until the finish. Hill, meanwhile, continued inside the top five until the halfway point of the race. He slipped back to sixth and eventually finished in eighth place at the checkered flag. Hill’s RCH Racing teammate Broc Tickle began the main event in 15th and moved up as high as 12th place during the 20-lap main event. He eventually finished 13th by the time the checkered flag fell.

AURORA, Ill. (April XX, 2013) – In just a few weeks, the world’s fastest amateur AMSOIL Arenacross riders will take center stage on the world famous Las Vegas Strip for the annual AMSOIL AMA Amateur National Arenacross Championships (ANAC). This year, South Point Casino and its state-of-the-art arena will once again be the sight of two action-packed days of activity that is sure to maintain the highly competitive legacy of this prestigious event.

Day one on Friday, May 3, will feature practice and qualifying for all 27 classes in addition to the first four Main Events of the weekend. Racing continues on Sunday, May 5, with an action-packed day of competition that will crown champions for the remaining 23 classes. With a wide range of skill levels and ages competing at the ANAC, this annual tradition has become one of the most highly regarded amateur competitions in the world.

In conjunction with the 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross season, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross, hundreds of riders of all ages and skill levels have been competing for his or her shot at a chance to win a coveted national title. Over the course of the 10 weekends that composed the 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross schedule, riders qualified from one of five different amateur regions – North, South, East, West and Central – during the Amateur Day races that took place every Sunday following professional action.

With over 300 riders looking for the chance to qualify on any given weekend, earning one’s way into the ANAC was no easy task. As a result, this year presents one of the most talented fields of riders to ever compete. In total, 540 of the nation’s best amateur competitors, male and female, will converge in Las Vegas the first weekend in May, in conjunction with the Monster Energy Supercross Finals. In the end, a total of 26 riders will emerge as a one-of-a-kind AMA National Champion by the time the weekend concludes.

In the highly talented Expert Class, the top 10 finishers from the ANAC will receive a sought-after 250SX Class Endorsement, which makes them eligible to compete in the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season.

Since the 2010 season, the ANAC has been run in conjunction with the dramatic finale of Monster Energy Supercross. With the addition of a full day of practice and qualifying one year ago, doubling the amount of track time for the future stars of AMSOIL Arenacross makes for an action-packed weekend that has enough excitement to satiate any enthusiasts’ hunger for competition. Simply put, combining the ANAC with Monster Energy Supercross in Las Vegas is the ultimate way to close out an incredible 2013 season, making for a can’t-miss weekend for any fan.

Friday’s practice and qualifying sessions for the ANAC, will allow all qualified riders to familiarize themselves with the track while also setting their gate selection for the weekend. The first four Main Events of the weekend in the 85cc (9-15), Expert, Pit Bike, and 65cc (7-11) classes will bring Friday night to a close. On Sunday, eliminations begin for the remaining 23 classes of competition until a rider is crowned as an AMA National Champion for each respective division.

Tickets for the 2013 AMSOIL AMA Amateur National Arenacross Championships are on sale now. Gates and pits open promptly at 8 a.m. for Sunday’s action, with racing set to start shortly thereafter. Friday’s practice and qualifying sessions are free to the public. All competition will be hosted within the spacious South Point Arena, which has established itself as the new home of the ANAC.

Bel-Ray Racer Tommy Searle Scores Top Ten Finish in Italy

The 2013 World Motocross series continued this weekend at the Arco di Trento track in Italy for the fourth round of the seventeen round series. The Bel-Ray supported Team CLS Kawasaki entered three racers in two separate classes during the event. In MX1 class, Englishman Tommy Searle finished 6^th overall, while in the MX2 class, Italian Alessandro Lupino finished 10^th overall and new-comer American Jimmy Decotis finished 31^st overall in his grand prix debut.

Following his first moto 5^th place, Searle was forced to come from the rear of the field following a collision early in the second moto. His charge through the pack resulted in a 6^thplace finish overall. “I’m pleased with my weekend; we continue to improve our results and I’m happy about that,” said Searle following the second moto.

Alessandro Lupino was looking forward to a top finish at his home track, but a series of unfortunate events kept him to a 10^th overall finish. His finishes were a result of gritty determination following a first moto crash that resulted in a broken rib for the Italian racer. “I knew from the first practice session that my speed was OK here, and with a good start I could easily have achieved a top five result. I had a medical examination after the race and the doctors told me that the 4^th rib is broken, so let’s hope that I can race next weekend.”

The newest member of the team, Jimmy Decotis, arrived from the United States with little time to prepare and struggled in his grand prix debut. His moto finishes resulted in a 31^st place finish overall, but he is optimistic and believes that better races are ahead. “I knew that it wouldn’t be easy, coming here last week and racing for the first time on a European track. I had a good start in the first moto but crashed in the first lap when someone ran into me from behind. It was a tough race after that. In the second race, I was in the top fifteen but got cramps and struggled. I hate to retire, but that could be dangerous on this track. I know that the Bulgarian track will be different, and we’ll have one more week to work and prepare it with the team.”
