I like the above description of my Zodiac, very similar to my Personality! Haha! I'm not sure which is one that determine my way of thinking; If it's zodiac, then does everybody born with the same zodiac think like how I think? I doubt that! So as much as I want to believe in those Zodiac things (fortune-telling, personality, health predictions), I have some reservations for it as well!

Haha! Not avoiding these beliefs because the Dragon people are going to have a bad year ahead, instead it's me not getting any luck despite positive (even 'very very prosperous') predictions for the past years. Sad eh?

Well, if it's really dependable, then I believe i'm in a very very negative position (in lay man's term 'bo hua'). If my 'very lucky' was mediocre, then my very unlucky will be...

Christmas and 2012!

It's a new year!! wow.. what a relief as 2011 brush past us like this. Fortunately, it was a rather good year for me, I hope it was to you too! =)

Basically, in 2011:

Heh heh! Sense of accomplishment, and I hope 2012 will be filled with even more achievements!

Nevertheless, it still dawn on me about how to welcome and receive the new year. I believe I'm not superstitious or naive, but feelings are having debate in me on whether I should plan for the future or just enjoy whatever I have before the proclaimed apocalypse.

I shouldn't just listen to those controversial prediction, which threw many into discussing how or whether it will happen, and just live like normal; but the signs of a probable wipe-out are too prominent for me to ignore them. Look at the number of disaster and tragedies, isn't the rate of happenings disturbing?

Whether or not it's happening, I can't decide anyway, just caught in a dilemma between enjoying whatever I have now and preparing for the future instead? If you still don't get what I mean, I'm referring to Money.

Sigh. Don't you just hate question marks now?

That aside, Christmas and New Year celebration was just splendid for me. Regrets because I couldn't spend it with BOSB this year like previous years due to different schedules and indecisiveness, but memorable because I have Jia Juan! I'll try my best to make up the loss this year for the next (provided the mayans fail!), and hopefully 2013 countdown will be a better one!

Peak period

Looking at this picture, the peak is indeed appealing and tempts you to reach for it. Well, everybody knows the route up the mountain will not be an easy one, but you don't know it yourself until you overcome it.

While in the calm before the storm, I'm oiling up my gears and all set for my first run.

USS were pretty good in terms of its decorations, facilities and entertainment. However, I'm reminded that I'm not rich when I visit there. Sad. loL! Not a place with good memory, but I would want to go there again. Anyone?

Nevertheless, Jingle bells songs are sounding over the radio, Chrismtas trees have been erected almost at every shopping centers and workplaces, many santa claus and elf creepily stalks you while you're shopping, but do you feel the Christmas? I hope you do, cause it may well be our last christmas - according to the mayans.

Running

How motivating, the 1st scene I witness even before the run. =)

Don't you just love Cats' laziness and intelligence at the same time? Awww....

There were a few pictures taken from the marathon (one-which-is-enough-to-run-just-once-to-realise-it's-a-bitch marathon). We will have to wait for Brian to upload them up as he was the only one holding on to his phone and taking pictures for us. Anyway, we took this at the 34 km mark. The route which seems to be so dreadful (it's at the mark after the golf course before heading up to Marina Barrage). Yes, dreadful. Did I say dreadful already? Oh, it was dreadful.

Fortunately, managed to complete the race without cramps. Was able to stretch whenever there is chance.

So.. after many walks, walks, run and walks, I managed to complete my first ever full marathon. Kudos! Not very convinced though, but I got the Finisher Tee and medal. =) Never believed I'll do this in my life, thanks to Clarence's foolishness to sign me up for this!

And last friday was Wang Cai's wedding! Got a chance to get my hands on his SLK. ShioK! The drive was simply awesome!

So because it's a wedding day with the marriage atmosphere, my lame friend just decided to try something funny with Siri:

Imm le' tired~

Finally got a time to actually catch a breath or two, right before my exam which is in a week's time.

How hard is it to study one module? Well it is procrastination and the fact that it is only one paper that makes it hard. Why? Because... ...

"it's only 1 paper wad? 1 day enough already..."

That's why.

Right before my study leave, I met with a client which smokes. Not literally, but verbally. Damn.. now I don't know how to de-smoke it, which leads to 2 possible consequence.

1) The team senior will be able to reslove it?

2) I'll enjoy now for the time being and suffer when I return 2 weeks later.

My 1st ever iPhone. Decided to just go along with the crowd and see what is so good behind this much discussed entertainment hardware. Online reviews and friends' comments aren't enough, you know you can listen to all different opinions until you try it yourself! =)

The Siri is the catch from this revised iPhone 4. In actual fact, the only thing which is worth the difference from the iPhone 4 is the Camera hardware. They put in an extra lens to enhance the quality of the photograph taken. The rest seems indifferent.

Watched this show on Saturday night, but the emotions and memory created by this movie still lingers within me.

Somehow, it made me crawl back to the past, with films of secondary school days rolling past me. The undeniably fun and carefree moments, shared and given to me by my ever innocent and positively naïve friends and buddies, make these montage so memorable it can never be erased no matter how bad my Alzheimer might become in the future; It has become a significant part of my childhood, my youth!

Unfortunately, pegged with the permanent reminiscent is the many regrets that stained the perfect story, like the earmarks on a diary. Not only it foils the book, it leads you to that page before you read the other stories.

Coincidentally, the movie tells a story where the 2 lead actor and actress were so sweet and suitable for each other in their younger days as if only a spartan group can extend their distance; The female lead didn't end up marrying the man.

I can totally understand how it feels like to have your scribbled drafts erased. You can pencil it down how many times you want, it remains erasable. It would have drawn a different conclusion if a pen was used instead.

My apologies for being carried away. Had a dream this morning and woke up with mixed feelings that disturbed me the whole train trip. I'm so thankful that Jia Juan is here to show me the light of this tunnel. I cannot be more fortunate because she was so much a better paper and I'm glad I have chosen the right pen.

The scribbles have left those sink-marks and it stays in the paper. Nonetheless, I will continue to the next page, and it will definitely be written more beautifully. =)

Finally, I'm touched by the movie's scriptwriter in-depth description and ability to portray a student's life so close to ours', so close to mine.

This is what everyone needs.

A state of body and mind in the most relaxed and carefree position, where there is no disturbance, no pressure, no noises, just you and the most quiet environment. How nice if anybody can just stay in this mental state of utmost peace for just even a while, say 10 minutes?

I'm really glad things have been going very smoothly for me... Not that I am complaining, but I think they are really going TOO smoothly.

Not that I want things to go bad, nor do I want to be complacent about it. So every now and then, I will sit down and think about how things are going now and how can I cherish and appreciate what ever that is happening to me. I am really thankful for all these, though I do not know who is going to be the one receiving the thanks.

Life is pretty short to be just thinking about making fame and fortunes. It is undeniably wiser, while time and youth is still on our side of the court, to take some busy schedule out for our loved ones and notice all the little actions and changes happening now and then.

Taking things for granted, we hear this all day long, but how many of us really consider and think about what this phrase means? I know, we should not take things for granted, so we should appreciate more and complain less, period. Have they really believed what they preached? Is it an obligation to follow the saying or do they really appreciate the things around them from the bottom of their heart?

Did you notice your mug was not in its current colour when you first bought it?

Did you realise there's dust gathering at the back of your bookshelves?

Do you remember how your mum always wake you up or prepare food for you in the past and how things have changed over the years?

Are the folks in your house having lesser conversation with you?

We ignore these little changes in our daily lives. Sometimes, it just further annoys us when we are tied up with something. Nonetheless, these insignificant adjustments reminds you that you are still alive and not living in the past.

It might appear that I am deviating from my topic. My mere intention is to hope that you can create time or opportunity to take a step back from the current economy and immerse yourself in a world, a place where there is no such thing as fame and fortune but just plain field with a clear blue sky. The word is Care-free. Then you will realise that what really matters from deep within, is that you are alive and alive for the purpose of being with the people around you!

Well, I found out that my grandma is being neglected as we grow old when she complained of gastric pains. She didn't want to bother us, but I know she's in bad pain. Then it came a time when i realised that I almost forgotten about her well-being and that she will always be fine. =(

Fortunately, I'm being reminded just in time.

Well, I'm getting more familiar with my office and colleagues already! Fortunately, unlike those army days, the people and peers are all friendly and humane! =) They make us feel very comfortable and include us in their events and activities.. Many foodie treat as well! Love my job as of now!

Not sure how long this passion will last, hopefully it span till i finish my ACCA!

4th time this year and coming..

To the ZOO! =D

Nothing actually changed in the zoo, as most of the things remained intact and unchanged for the past 4 times I've been to the garden just this year alone. Ya, recalled"Vamoosh" from the 'Rainforest fights back' show who changed it's actor twice.

Well, come to think about it, even I, who only come 4 times this year, is already tired and bored of the whole setting and decorations.. what about the park rangers and keepers? Much worse those poor animals in the cage and enclosure... Kind of sympathize them, but there is nothing much I can do eh? I hope the zookeepers really treat those creature as good as possible!

Had it infront of the pygmy hippos. Fortunately we finished the s/w before the hippos defecated. Gosh it was disgusting. loL! The whole water turned yellowish brown, comparable to those in Huang He. Poor fishes that were swimming right at it's asshole. Sad.

Tiring a day it may be (waking up as early as 5.45 and non-stop walking and standing), it's as fulfilling too. Finally, for the longest time ever, I get to hold another girl's hand and more than ever, I wish this is the last.

Naruwan!

That's how the Yuan Zu Min say welcome to you!

Been there for 8 days and conquered the leaf-shaped island on a green cosy volkswagon van which the tour guide said was the most classy tour van to be used. Well, no comments on that, but that pathetic vehicle did its job well and bring us safely around Taiwan, from north to east, south, west and then to North again. Not advisable for people who get car-sickness easily.. especially when the car gets by the mountain trails and uneven tracks.

In a brief summary, we reached Tao Yuan international airport on a China Airlines (besides the space allowance and pilot landing skills, the rest of the facilities is pretty commendable).

Well, wait till my sister upload the photos, then I'll consider putting some of them up here! =)

Went to the Asian Civilization Museum on Friday for the Terracotta warriors exhibition.

haha...but quite disappointed these are all just replicas. =(

After this, we went to the SPM where it's all about stamps! LoL! That place is even worse, to think i suggested the idea. Nonetheless, I had a great day with my companion! =)

and on monday, I'm flying to Taiwan for the very first time.

It was indeed an entertaining performance! Kudos to these Korean martial arts lover!

How I admire their humour mixed with their martial arts exhibition, dashing and flipping all over the stage tirelessly, entertaining the whole audience with ironic ease. There wasn't a time where I really see them gasping for air or breathing hard..it's just pure smooth stances executed by each and one of them!

How I envy them to be brought together in such a wonderful team, working together and doing things they like best - Performance!

Well spent money for a satisfying entertainment. Thank me! =)

OH YA! It's the start of the lunar 7th month and I clean forgot about it this morning that I went swimming with Zach and Brian! Lol!! We tried swimming in the newly opened sports and recreation center beside whitesands. *And I got a scar across my chest unknowingly*

The pool is fresh and wide, nice! However, I think the number of people in the pool just don't make you want to swim. Every 5 strokes, you have to change lane. Zzz~ So I gave up and try the slide! So embarrassing, only kids were queueing! The lifeguard in charge of the slide was looking at us with one kind of look. LoL!! I ignored! Just play nia! =P Zach and Brian felt so ashamed! *I know deep down inside, they also want to try one!*

Anyway, sent ASTA off at the Airport. What a hassle! She didn't know the actual weight requirement for the luggage when she packed, creating such a big hoo-hah at the airport check-in counter area. LoL! She teared over the pressure. Funny! Girls girls...bring so many unnecessary stuffs!

Anyway, hope she enjoys her exchange program there! Bon Voyage, Asta!

Heard about this Thai Movie from Woon Kin Wang, and many other battery-mates claiming it's one of the best Thai Movie. Decided to watch it just now as I see the same name on someone's facebook. loL! Kinda touching. Just reminds me of another brilliant thai romance-comedy titled: "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."

I really wondered what make me like both the movie so much despite it being so new and foreign? The plot? Setting? Or it could just be the actress. =)

Just hate it but after every romance show, the emotion lingering just brings back memories. Zzz~

Combined Rehearsal 5, granted a chance to cam-whore all day long on that M3g together with the ceremonial 25 pounder guns. Nothing to be impressed about but it's true that this is one of the rare chance to snap ourselves in Number 1 uniform. No film/memory space wasted! haha!!

Well, looking back at all the trainings and saturdays burnt for the rehearsals, we're now left with just 2 more chances to fire the 25-pounders - Preview and Actual.

As National day steps nearer, many things start flashing past me. When the fireworks on the actual day marks my last duty in my NSF period, I begin to reflect what really happened in the chronosphere of this 1 Year 10 Months.

I wouldn't say this 2 year is only grief, remorse and regrets. Many things didn't go well prior to my enlistment until recently. However, it's only these shits and breakdowns that got me to be stronger and more independent.

I know who're my real friends.

I knew my clique's flaw, every single one of them and there's a time where I despised their flaw. Well, army enlightened me, BOSB flaws are much pleasant. Appreciate your TRUE friends while you can, for I've seen people who's so nasty you cannot believe they exist.

Reality and the practical world.

Before army, I still believe the world is what i see it to be, what i want it to be and what i think it should be. Army gave me the big tight slap. I've picked that up and am now moving on. I'm thankful for that pain because it makes me realise the harsh world before it's even later.

To do things for myself.

A friend in my Unit told me about my shortcoming. I care too much for others. There's time you wonder why i do things which is so out of the way. There's time where I can't explain things to you clearly. There's time when I just choose to ignore and smile. If you knew me well enough, I seldom do things for myself. I always have the others in mind before every of my considerations. It's this mindset that make people detest me, because they feel in debt for me when I create guilt in them. Now, I feel my friends like me more for being more outspoken and more decisive. Well, if not for army, I'll still be trapped in that prison!

Things don't happen if you don't work for it.

You hear this all the time, but it's no doubt the only way to make things happen. From Primary sch to Secondary and even Poly, I always take things for granted. I thought things will happen automatically and turn out to be ideal. Another pinch from the army. Look where I am now, because I chose to let things happen 'naturally.' I'm sure there's so much room for satisfaction!

Long story short, as much as I hate the green uniform obligation, I begin to appreciate the additional favour done to me. I think I'm more prepared and confident to face the real world now.

I hope I am not doing this alone. There's this very big part of me which is longing for someone who I can share my ideas and love with. Learning that XX is doing very well now, it's time for me to get my Mary Jane.
