An Alternative look to the weeks news Concordia Sunk, Peacocks and Kodak Go Under Plus Gary Glitter
Well Hello,
In a week where the Cruise Liner 'Costa Concordia' sunk! High street shop 'Peacocks' also goes under! Ricky Gervais hosts the golden globes and much much more!

So firstly earlier this week the Costa Concordia sunk, and it has come out the captain of the ship, jumped off in a life boat before every one else! Well to uses the phrase that the Captain him self used, 'He Fell Off'. I tell you what he must be one lucky person to fall off a boat and straight into a life boat!

Now i worked on a ship for a short amount of time and the drills on the boat were every week, i worked with a french crew and they were relentless in drills, and took them very seriously. I remember one drill lasted over 3 hours when we were docked in Portsmouth, but hearing reports of how un organised every one was onboard is terrible.

Of the course Costa Cruises are set to looses up to £95 million pounds over this, and have already said that the captain will never work again and may be facing a prison sentence! Which makes me think? who can be the new captain? Recent polls have suggested that ex England striker 'Emile Heskey' should take charge? Lets face it he would of missed those rocks! Some people are blaming the Captain for plugging his new Iphone 4s into the ships computer and asking it to snyc?

All though on brighter news this week i did purchase a lottery ticket to win a mediterranean cruise! it should be a good one as last weeks was a rollover!

In Sports News this week, Joey Barton has popped up on twitter this week again bad mouthing his former manager at QPR 'Neil Warnock' blaming him for the clubs failing. This led to Everton newly signed midfield 'Darren Gibson' Tweeting

'Joey Barton left Newcastle: Newcastle rose. Joey Barton joined QPR: QPR dropped. ---> Doesn't take a rocket scientist, does it?'

A great response from Gibson, Joey Barton cannot be trusted with a twitter account, I added Joey Barton on facebook earlier.... when he accepted my request for a laugh I thought I would poke him........

This week on Twitter, Peaches Geldof reached over 127,000 followers! Peaches i feel she is a lot like Jesus in many ways, relying on her Dad's fame to get more followers.
Also this week on Twitter the second most famous Peadofile in the word just behind Michael Jackson, Gary Glitter Joined Twitter! His Twitter name @officialglitter gained over 18,000 followers in the first week, in other news Haribo Sales are at an all time high! There are talks that Gary is having a comeback album and releasing a book! The question has to be asked is it him or the captian of the Concordia who fucked the most people in international waters. That last gag credit goes to 'Frankie Boyle'.
My view on it? I don't think everyone should give him a hard time, he just wants to settle down and have kids!

In a week where the Football Transfer Market Opens, the new year begins and the Levison Enquiry opens once again!

OAP FA CUP
This week Manchester United and Arsenal both took to calling up an old gun to help them get through the rest of season. Arsenal took back there French Legend Thierry Henry on loan from MLS side New York Red bulls for a couple months, then only a couple of days later, Manchester United re-signed there Star midfielder Paul Scholes , who retired at the end of last season. So why is it that a couple of the biggest English Teams have decided or Needed to take back some of there old superstars? Is it because they cannot keep up with the free spending Manchester City? Man City who upset the US government this week when Barrack Obama announced that they will cut the defence budget to $680 million , meaning that the USA no longer has the highest annual defence budget in the world, That honour now goes to Manchester City.

TV NEWS
This week has seen the death of the much loved soap character 'Pat Butcher',which also means that the Eastenders make up budget will seriously be reduced (i bet there avon lady is fumming) . Of course this had to happen over the christmas , as every year in Eastenders its tradition that someone must die, its like a year long game of cluedo!

Also the start of Celebrity Big Brother happened on Chanel 5! There flagship show got off to a flyer , although watching it i couldn't help but feel it was missing something............ A CELEBRITY! I dont think i will be watching much of this in the next few weeks, unless Chanel 5 are going to try out some left over new years fireworks directly in the house.

SHOP LIFTING SUPERSTAR - PICK OF THE WEEK!
Ok superstar might be a little bit strong but the funniest piece of news this week has to be that Antony Worral Thompson has been caught shop lifting in Tesco. Small items like wine and cheese and has been caught several times! Now where do i start with this, i could understand if it was from Sainsburys, to piss off Jamie Oliver, or Waitrose cause i feel like i have been robbed everytime i go in there! Or even Lidils cause them bastards charge you for a career bag! But tesco, please no one needs to steel from tesco, who are they pissing off! He said that these were only little items, i dont know if he mis heard there slogan, 'every little helps' maybe he thought ' every little helps yourself!' . Police stopped him outside the store and told him to empty his bag and then tell them what he planned to make with it!
Now im no angel but this weeks antics have made me feel a little better about myself, now i do not feel so bad for steeling that Antony Worral Thompson blender and knife set!

At least now it answers the age old question, why did the chicken cross the road? beacause it was stuffed in Antony Worral Thompson's jacket!

Glastonbury u2 gig gets violent

Violent scenes broke out in the crowd at U2's long-awaited Glastonbury debut as a protest against the band's tax status was foiled by security guards.

As Bono and his bandmates took to the Pyramid Stage, activists from direct action group Art Uncut inflated a 20ft balloon emblazoned with the message "U Pay Your Tax 2".

But as the campaigners tried to release it over the 50,000-strong crowd, a team of 10 burly security guards wrestled them to the ground before deflating the balloon and taking it away.

The intervention by security after U2's opening song Until The End Of The World sparked angry clashes with 30 or more protesters. One security guard told a photographer to "go away", adding: "If you are press, I'll have you."

Several protesters were pinned against a fence near the Pyramid Stage after attempting to hold on to the balloon. There were no arrests.

One of the campaign group members said: "That was totally over the top. He threatened to hit me." Another said: "Political activism used to belong at Glastonbury. This was all going to be completely peaceful."

A handful of U2 fans looked on open-mouthed and booed as the security guards swooped.

Gary Noble, 45, from Eastbourne, said: "It was all a bit shocking. I love U2 but I think everyone should pay their taxes. The campaigners have a right to voice their opinion."

Campaigner Charlie Dewar said: "U2's multi million-euro tax dodge is depriving the Irish people at a time when they desperately need income to offset the Irish government's savage austerity programme.

"Tax nestling in the band's bank account should be helping to keep open the hospitals, schools and libraries that are closing all over Ireland. Bono is well-known for his anti-poverty campaigning but Art Uncut is accusing him of hypocrisy."

Piers Morgan has a paddy!!

Piers Morgan warned the Vice President of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel he won't be happy if he gives Prince William and Kate Middleton his hotel suite.

The 46-year-old CNN host regularly stays at the hotel in Los Angeles while he's over in the States and took to his Twitter page after hearing that the newlyweds are heading to California this summer.

He said: "Wills and Kate coming to Hollywood - #wantmetoshowyouthesights?"

But the TV presenter and former newspaper editor had a warning for the hotel's Vice President Radha Arora.

He said: "If you give my BeverlyWilshire suite to Wills & Kate in July then we're over."

EUROVISION 2011! BLUE & JEDWARD

So Blue, did a good job representing us in the Euro’s, strange enough the more i watched the contest the more i got into it!

There song ‘I can’ was a catchy pop tune and was performed well. The song contest is much like the world cup, england pretend there not bothered but then when it comes down to the scoring were gripped!

We started so well on the scoring even topping the chart at one point! But after that short high it all went down hill, often no evening getting a score from countries.

So what does this mean for the boys from Blue? I feel a summer filled with gigs from Butlins, Pontins and other holiday parks and night clubs.

When interviewed about deciding to perform at the contest they thought this would be a good chance to re ignite there pop career! No such luck me thinks, the only plus of the night would be finishing higher than the gruesome two some , JEDWARD!!!

Gaga brings drama to American Idol

Lady Gaga turned up the heat on American Idol.

The eccentric pop superstar pushed the Fox singing competition's top four finalists to add theatrics to their performances of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller songs.

Her advice that Scotty McCreery should pretend that the microphone is his girlfriend prompted the deep-voiced 17-year-old country crooner to kiss the cross around his neck.

Lady Gaga's steamy direction didn't seem to deter Scotty, who impressed the judges with both his rollicking take on The Coasters' Young Blood and heartfelt rendition of Alan Jackson's Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning).

Lauren Alaina also seemed poised for greatness with her inspirational ballad of Martina McBride's Anyway, but she wasn't ready to proclaim that she was "evil", as noted in the lyrics to Elvis Presley's Trouble, until she received some motivation from Lady Gaga, who directed the 16-year-old singer to sing the ditty in character.

"When I was 16, I was way too weird to be on American Idol," Lady Gaga admitted.

The judges bickered about Haley Reinhart's interpretation of Michael Jackson's Earth Song. "I felt like you were just screaming," Jackson said over a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Haley returned with a vengeance with Ben E King's I (Who Have Nothing). Lady Gaga directed her to let out a dramatic exhale in the middle of the song.

Jackson dubbed it "her moment" of the night, and Tyler informed her that she "just Reinharted yourself into the middle of next week".

Rocker James Durbin opened the show clad in tails with Journey's Don't Stop Believin' and closed it down with a metal-tinged take on The Clovers' Love Potion No 9. Jackson, who formerly played bass with Journey, said James was "paying homage to my friends".

Coronation Street icon Betty Driver has been inundated with words of support as she battles pneumonia.
The 90-year-old actress who plays Weatherfield resident Betty Williams, was rushed to hospital with pneumonia earlier this week, and forums, websites and fansites have been festooned with messages wishing her the best.
Co-star Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, tweeted: "A Special Tweet For The Amazing Betty Driver!! Stay Strong & My Thoughts Are With You ....... "
Several cast members are already believed to have visited the soap icon.
A show source told The Sun: "She's a feisty old thing and is battling like a woman half her age."
Betty was due to be filming this week, but producers have had to re-write the scenes she was set to shoot.
Some fear the star's latest health problems could see her give up her role, but the Rovers' longest-serving barmaid has insisted she loves the soap so wants to work right up until she dies.

Hugh Laurie could be set to end his award-winning role as maverick medic Dr Gregory House.

Hugh, 51, has sealed his Hollywood career starring in the hit US show House, earning a reputed Â£256,000 an episode.

But the British actor told the Radio Times that the eighth season, which he films this summer, could be his last.

He told the magazine that "the end of that season, right now, looks like the end of the show".

Asked if leaving was his decision, he said of his contract: "Well, that's as far as they've got me for."

Hugh, who is based in Los Angeles, where his wife joins him for two weeks each month, won the role of Dr Gregory House in 2004 in the medical drama.

His performance as the US medical genius has won him two Golden Globe Awards, five Emmy nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Hugh recently branched out into music by recording his first album, Let Them Talk, a collection of covers of blues standards, in which he tackles lead vocals, piano and guitar.

Another Eastenders Star to Leave!!

Mercy Olubunmi is set to leave Albert Square later this year, EastEnders bosses have confirmed.

The student, played by actress Bunmi Mojekwu, is already battling to stay in Walford after the UK Border Agency threatened to deport when it emerged her visa expired.

Arthur 'Fatboy' Chubb, played by Ricky Norwood, has offered to try and save his friend from the immigration authorities by proposing to her, but an EastEnders spokesperson revealed Mercy will leave the soap in July.

They added: "Bunmi has done a great job of bringing the role of Mercy to life and we wish her every success in the future."

Mercy arrived in Albert Square in on internet spin-off EastEnders: E20 in January 2010.

She was initially the only character who did not move over to appear in the main show, but Bunmi began making regular appearances in EastEnders from May.

As Sam Attwater and Emer Kenny, who played Leon and Zsa Zsa have also left EastEnders, Ricky will be the only E20 cast member left in Walford.

Corrie Star sad to leave soap!

Katherine Kelly announced she was quitting Coronation Street a couple of weeks ago, and it seems her fans aren't happy about losing her.

The actress has been moved by the amount of tributes to her and her on-screen alter ego Becky left by viewers on Twitter.

She responded by writing: "I am utterly blown away by all your lovely tweets. What a treat to come home to."

Katherine also revealed that some people had come up with ideas about Becky's departure.

She said: "I'm laughing at all your ideas for Bex exit story. Esp ones involving Roy! You are too funny!"

Katherine admitted recently that she had no plans for any future projects, but it seems a music career could be beckoning. A remix of her song If It's Too Late, recorded for the Coronation Street album Rogues, Angels, Heroes & Fools, is currently doing well in the US club charts.

Cheryl Cole named US X FACTOR JUDGE

Cheryl Cole finally landed her longed-for role as a judge on the US version of The X Factor today and declared: "I can't wait to get started."

But the 27-year-old's new job means she will leave the British version of the show after three years.

Today's announcement by Simon Cowell and bosses of the Fox network ends months of speculation about whether Cheryl could make it in the US.

Launching the show with her pal Simon could make the erstwhile Girls Aloud singer a huge star, but there had been fears her accent could be impenetrable for American viewers. Cheryl will take her place on the panel alongside show boss Cowell, respected former record boss LA Reid and one more unnamed figure when the show starts later this year.

Simon said: "I'm thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with.

"She is also a complete brat. Most importantly, this girl can spot talent."

The appointment spells the end of her run on ITV's hugely successful Saturday night UK show. She has twice mentored the eventual winner during her stint.

ITV's official X Factor website confirmed she would be quitting the programme. It said: "It's with a pride-filled lump in our throat that today we announce Cheryl Cole's departure from the UK version of The X Factor."

Cheryl said: "I'm so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor.

"I can't wait to get started. I just can't decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me."

big brother host revealed????

Emma Willis has revealed it would be "amazing" to be asked to present the Channel 5 version of Big Brother.

The presenter was the face of the reality show's online coverage when it was on Channel 4 and a host on off-shoot Big Brother's Little Brother. Now it has moved channels, she'd like to take over from Davina McCall as the main presenter, the Daily Star reports.

"It's no secret I'm a bit of freaky fan and Davina bigged me up for it as well which was the nicest thing ever," she said.

Emma has also been tipped to take over from Konnie Huq on The Xtra Factor this year.

She said: "I think Big Brother or The Xtra Factor would be amazing, but so far I haven't been approached."

Potential housemates have also been invited to apply for the show via its website, with public auditions to be announced at a later date.

What happened to the Classic Gladiators, from the ITV Show?

The Gladiators was one of the most sucessfull saturday night tv show's in the 90's, the show had the whole of the uk captivated for over 5 years!

What we want to know is what happened to the famous Gladiators now?

JET

At an early age Jet took up gymnastics and was the North of England Junior Champion for four consecutive years. Jet gave up gymnastics at 13, and took up dance at the Darlington Arts Centre.

She branched out on jazz and contemporary dance, and then again broadened her horizons to do some choreography and acting. Jet joined the Studio Centre in London and graduated. She also has two diploma's in Performing Arts and Fitness and Exercise, plus an RSA in teaching exercise to music.

Jet's skill in the Gladiators events, good looks and fantastic personality made her one of the most popular Gladiators of all time.

Unfortunately Jet's Gladiator career came to a sudden end during the 1996 Live Shows in Wembley Arena, London. She was competing on the Pyramid and as she tackled the Contender she fell awkwardly, trapping nerves in her neck. Jet decided it was time to move on as she no longer could put 100% into the show.

Jet now spends more time devoted to counselling young people who are suffering from eating disorders, Jet herself suffered from bulimia from the age of 14 until 19. After gaining a degree in Psychotherapy and NLP training she also spends time working as a therapist. She will soon be joining Five's 'Trisha Goddard' chat show as a guest therapist. She will be onhand to help Trisha with some real life cases, really helping to make a difference to peoples lives.

Lightning

At six years old Lightning took up gymnastics after she was accepted into Lichfield Olympic Gymnastic Club. Lightning had her first competitive event when she was eight years old. In her time as a gymnast she competed all over Great Britain as well as in Bulgaria, Belgium and Germany. Between the ages of 10 and 16 she trained with the British Squad and gained 32 medals.

After gymnastics Lightning took up weight training and competed four times in the Miss Figure Bodybuilding competition and came second in the British Championship Finals. She also won the Willenhall BB Show, Muscle Beach Open and the EFBB British Qualifier. Next came aerobics to help build up her stamina. She was a fitness instructor for eighteen months.

Lightning is certainly one of the most toughest and determined of the UK Gladiators. She is known as the 'Queen of Hang Tough' remaining undefeated in the UK Arena. She has only ever been beaten once during filming of the first Ashes series in Australia.

Lightning gave birth to a baby boy called Lexus just three weeks before competing in the Gladiators arena for the 1999 series, herself and husband, Francis Betts, were overjoyed. They also have a little girl called Skye.

Lightning became a TV Presenter for kids show Room 785 airing on BFBS TV which is a channel for Britain's Armed Forces around the world. She then moved to Spain with Francis and the children but has since returned to the UK.

THE WOLF

Wolf has always been an avid bodybuilder but before Gladiators, Wolf was already appearing on television in shows such as London's Burning. During Gladiators Wolf made it big in the film industry starring as a bad guy in the film The Bruce.
Wolf has been the resident bad guy of the UK Gladiators since the first series and is one of the most popular Gladiators ever. As contenders, the audience and in some cases the Gladiators presenters have found out- Wolf hates loosing. The Wolf-Man is probably the meanest Gladiator in the world!
There is only one man in the Gladiators arena that can control him and that is referee, John Anderson. He may be the oldest UK Gladiator but he has proved that he can still compete with the best.
Wolf, who owned and ran his own health club, can often be seen roller blading or snow boarding in his spare time. He is married to his long-term girlfriend Paula and is a doting dad to their son, Nico, who was born in 1998. Wolf is also a devoting dad to his other son, Dean, who lives with his Mum in Ibiza.
In the 1999 special series, Wolf was sporting a new image - his long hair had been cut off, and he looked all the better for it.
After Gladiators Wolf was still very much a celebrity. He was part of the Sky One television show Toughman and regularly appeared on other TV shows such as The Weakest Link. Nowadays, Wolf keeps more of a low profile and lives in New Zealand with his wife Paula and their four children. They run an indoor play centre called Chipmunks Playground and Cafe which looks after 3 to 12-year-olds.

Kidnap victim on tv talent show

A woman who hit world headlines when she was snatched from her mother's arms at 36 hours old is to appear on Britain's Got Talent.
Alex Griffiths was taken from a London hospital by a woman posing as a social worker, and found in a Cotswold cottage after a 17-day global police search.
The university student, now 21,
will be seen performing a song and dance routine on the ITV1 talent show.
In an interview, Ms Griffiths said she wanted to be known for her talent rather than her story.
She told the Sun: "I want to impress people for who I am and what I can do, not because I was kidnapped as a baby.
"People were saying I should tell the judges my story as it could help me get through .
"I've watched loads of these shows and I know people use sob stories to get the judges in their side. But the producers understood my decision to stay quiet - and I don't regret it."
Her audition - a rendition of I Can't Do It Alone from the musical Chicago - will be shown later in the series.
She said performing for the judges was "one of the best things I've done", and added: "In an ideal world, being on stage is what I want to do. I'm also considering taking a gap year after I graduate to go dancing on cruise ships."

Tv star gives birth

Holly Willoughby has given birth to a baby girl called Belle, her agent confirmed.
The This Morning presenter's second child was born at 5.10pm on Thursday and weighed in at 5lbs 2oz.
In a statement from her management, Willoughby and her husband Dan Baldwin were said to be "thrilled and feel very lucky and can't wait for their son Harry to meet his little sister Belle".
Willoughby later tweeted her fans thanking them for their support and described Belle as "amazing".
Her friend, Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton tweeted: "So happy for my Holly dolly!! A gorgeous baby girl!"
Willoughby's co-host Phillip Schofield had kept fans informed of her progress on his Twitter feed since Tuesday when she missed the show amid confusion over whether she was about to give birth.
The star, who was due to go on maternity leave on Thursday, was replaced by stand-in Jenni Falconer.
Willoughby married Baldwin, who she met on children's show Ministry Of Mayhem, in West Sussex in August 2007.
She gave birth to her first child, Harry, in May 2009 and told viewers in January she was expecting a baby girl.

Shock X factor host???

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh is reportedly set to replace Konnie Huq as the presenter of Xtra Factor after Cheryl Cole put in a good word for her.

Sources have suggested Kimberley, 29, is in final talks to land the role on the UK version of the show.

And fellow Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl, 27, is said to have fought her corner.

According to website Misformusic.com, a source said: "Kimberley was worried that she wouldn't be suitable for the role with Cole as a judge, as she may have been biased towards her acts but now Cheryl is off to America she feels it is the perfect opportunity.

"Cheryl has put in a good word for her and bosses were impressed after seeing her present Suck My Pop last year. It's pretty much a done deal."

Crazy Baby Name!!

TV presenter Myleene Klass has been forced to defend her choice of baby name after naming her baby daughter Hero.

The British star gave birth to baby Hero three weeks ago and she recently tweeted her excitement at finally registering her birth.

She wrote: "Today Hero 'officially' becomes a little civilian and gets registered. Excited."

However one of her followers didn't seem to appreciate the name choice and wrote a message to her saying: "Is there any chance you could change your mind and give her a name she might appreciate in ten years!"

But Myleene did not agree.

She wrote: "Are you crazy?! Her name's amazing!"

Myleene and her fiance Graham Quinn chose the name as they love the Shakespeare play Much Ado About Nothing.

Charlie Sheens Latest antics

Charlie Sheen has closed a show on his tour of Canada by toasting the ashes of an audience member's dead husband.

After an hour of frenetic conversation between the troubled actor and comedian Russell Peters during Sheen's My Violent Torpedo of Truth show in Toronto, Charlie called out to the audience for a woman whose husband had died two years ago to come on stage.

Charlie, 45, said he read about her in a newspaper article.

The audience in Toronto's Massey Hall fell silent as Wendy Newman took to the stage, wearing black and carrying a vessel. Ms Newman told the show-goers that her husband died of a heart attack and the only way she got through her difficult period was by watching dvds of Sheen's former sitcom Two And A Half Men.

When she learned the celebrity was coming to her home city, she bought tickets, then posted a message on Charlie's Facebook page asking if she could bring her husband's ashes to the show and have Sheen raise a glass in honour of her husband of 19 years.

He did, but it was a glass of non-alcoholic cider, according to Peters, since Sheen has said he has put an end to his drinking and drug use.

"I think I can now send you off, Charlie Sheen is here now," said Ms Newman after giving a brief eulogy of her husband.

The show abruptly ended, followed by an incomprehensible video of Snoop Dogg rapping, leaving the audience unsure if it was really over.

Meanwhile lawyers for Warner Bros Television rejected Sheen's claim that he was in talks to return to two And A Half Men. A letter from Warner Bros lawyers to Sheen's lawyer dismisses as "false" the actor's comments that discussions are under way to reinstate him.

Glastonbury festival line up announced

The full line-up of this year's Glastonbury Festival has been announced, with stars including Morrissey, Elbow and Plan B added to the event.
Blues veteran BB King will also appear, as well as Tinie Tempah and critics' favourite Laura Marling.
There is also space for two veteran American stars with Paul Simon and American Pie singer Don McLean both appearing on the main Pyramid stage.
Rock superstars U2 will headline on Friday night after pulling out of last year's festival at the last minute.
The Irish band's 2010 date was axed when singer Bono suffered a back injury and Gorillaz were hastily lined up as a replacement.
They join Beyonce and Coldplay as bill-toppers this June.
Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis said: "After the disappointment of U2 being unable to play last year, we're now doubly excited at the prospect of the Friday night supergroup breaking the sound barrier."

Rihanna out of x factor

Rihanna has ruled herself out of a role on the US X Factor.
Asked about rumours that she was getting a judging role on Simon Cowell's show, the 23-year-old singer said she was too busy.
She told US radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest: "Yes, it's something that I would have loved to do. But my schedule doesn't allow because we are going to be on tour for the rest of the year.
"It's a demanding schedule. To be on that show you have to be around for months at a time. That makes it impossible for me."
The Barbados-born singer praised Britney Spears in the interview, after the pair recorded a cover of her latest single S&M.
"She was great, very professional and worked very hard," she said.

Eastender's star has shot thier final scene

It has been revealed that eastenders star 'John Bardon' has filmed his last scenes in the soap. The story line includes 'Jim' having to have to go live in a home after Dot cannot look after him any more. His current filming schedule have been around his health.

This comes after Jim Brannings real life soap story line became true when his character was due to have a stroke on the soap, and actor John Bardon had one in real life.

John's character was a fan favourite and him and June Brown ( Dott Cotton in the soap) had won several prizes at various tv awards.

All the cast are said to be sad to say goodbye to John who has become a real star on the square
