Mike Maverick Episode in progress

2012-04-30T03:13:00.000-07:00

After got the lines from Latieria and Haruko, the episode is back in production. Lucca is still on vacation, plus I want to congratulate her on having her first child on board...It's a boy! It's been 3 or 4 months since she announced it, soon as she return from her vacation, I will ask her if she still up for voice acting. One line for Maya is all I need from her...Also, ever since my last camera was destroyed like a long time ago during the production of Rocket Knight Adventure review, I willing to revamp it as well since I already have the voice clips from Lucca.

Anyways, I will count that as episode 2 as well as Bamboo Blade review as episode 3 and the Tiny Toon Adventures walkthrough/review (which is still in progress) as episode 4. Turnabout Turtles revamp review will be as episode 1, but I will work very hard on that episode.

Back to the one I'm working on...episode 4...I have to record the Wackyland and Montana's Mansion stage all over again through my NES since the file from my last playthrough was erased. It was a pain in the ass to go through all the procedures of getting the game footage recorded. Now, I will be up all night getting it done and hopefully this week it will be completed without any interruptions and delays. I might as well skip another Monday Night Raw, Monday Night Riffs, and Manime Monday on Spaceman Hardy's stream just to get some work done.

UPDATE!!

The review is nearly in completion, now all I need are the opening, the ending, and the finale to wrap up this review...This won't take long. I will have it done this week! I will be making a trailer for it on YouTube as well! right now all the editing for the whole review last night, I will relax by playing some video games...as usual. Heh. More updates for Great Justice, this is Mike Maverick.

Welcome to the New Turnabout Entertainment!

2012-04-25T21:28:00.001-07:00

A few modifications, a new look, and new ways to entertain for Great Justice!

Now don't worry, I won't be able to turn it into a group website like the last time due to rushing a few things, but I can see if I can affiliate and able use it as my blogging process, along with working on series and podcasts. Future podcasts coming soon.

Also, blogs and reviews will be uploaded here, and boy I am dead tired by configuring this thing out!

It is hard to figure out how to mange the slider automatically instead of going through HTML and update it manually. It's nearly done, but right now, I will be making more updates as I will continue to entertain for great justice!

Mike Maverick updated content list

2012-04-24T10:22:00.001-07:00

DISCLAIMER!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING!!

Most content or the deadline of the content are subject to change if major problems occur: Work, hard drive crashed, productions erased and/or plan on revamp, vacation, family issues, and personal issues. Other words, it can be written-in-stone, but when I get the feeling it might turn out as a good idea, I will be edit this post to keep you guys and myself what percentage of each episode is nearly done, for instance: narration, on camera scenes, script, voice-overs, effects, cameos, final cut, and rendering.

the reason why I making this disclaimer, is for the fact that I have been having some people who obviously pushing things forward to see if my content is done without any time and effort. I don't want the series to feel rushed. It's a low-budget series, that's true, but sometimes I have to put some time and effort in order to get it released. That's the same with other projects and specials too. Plus, I don't like to be rushed. When someone rushes me, then I get a melancholy feeling that my work will be either: half-done, nervous through the recording, stop the production for a while. If that come up, then I will tell you in a kind manner as a warning, but I will let you guys know personally via PM.

Two new series in progress

2012-04-24T02:07:00.002-07:00

During the production of the first episode of Mike Maverick Ace Reviewer, I have been doing some revamps of the Turnabout Gaming project. One entitled: Turnabout Gaming TV Walkthrough Experience will be series based on gaming and walkthrough experience of gaming. For instance: Fatal Frame 4, Zelda 1 2nd Quest, Yggdra Union, and others.

Another is a series which I have been planning for quite a while and I'm FINALLY got the chance to get to work on it. Ace Attorney: Courtroom Legends is a retrospective of the Ace Attorney series and by God, I will also be putting alot of effort into this show.

Anyways, I have got back into video making and enjoy every single bit of it. I dunno what stopped me from doing it, but I finally snapped out of it. Now if I can reconstruct the Nerd Fortress Podcast...

Turnabout Gaming Live! - Yggdra Union

2012-02-05T12:06:00.000-08:00

Anyways, I will be streaming this until the damn thing is finished. I dunno how many maps it has but I might try to see if I can beat like 10 maps per day.

I won't be streaming on Sunday through Tuesday due to college and a special podcasting. Plus I need to gather my sleep schedule back due to too much focus in this game.

It's been a while

2012-02-04T22:13:00.000-08:00

Turnabout Turtles revamp in progress and Stream Scheduling

2012-01-02T11:59:00.000-08:00

Mike Maverick: Ace Reviewer is in progress! FINALLY! After a year of production hell, I am beginning to work on my web show! It will be revamped and adding a storyline onto the series. No, I'm not going to imitate what Movie-Bob is been doing for the past 10 episodes of Game Over-Thinker. Anyways, in this episode, Mike Maverick was explaining how he earn the title "Ace Reviewer" while reviewing...yeah...hence the title...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When I look back at the pilot I made back in 2010, it has a good concept, but not too much of it. As for the intro, I willing to revamp the intro with the new Mike Maverick logo, and starting next week, I will be starting a LiveStream schedule and TwitchTV schedule as well. With all that said, I will continue to entertain for Great Justice!

Gyakuten Saiban (Turnabout Courtroom) /Ace Attorney movie Trailer

2011-12-29T22:20:00.000-08:00

Ok, as a huge Ace Attorney fan, I'm not going to let this opportunity slipped by. As you can see, the Ace Attorney movie will be in theaters for the Japanese audience on February 11, 2012.

The year: 2016, as heinous crimes been committed, Attorneys and Prosecutors are settle their differences through the new court system, which they allow to have 3 days before the final verdict of the defendant.

Phoenix Wright, or his Japanese counterpart, Ryuichi Naruhodo (Hiroki Narimiya), is a rookie attorney who was trained by Mia Fey or in her Japanese pseudonym, Chihiro Ayasato (Rei Dan) before she was murdered. He is tackling tough cases and turning things around to prove his clients innocence within 3 days. With the assistance of Maya Fey, or Mayoi Ayasato (Mirei Kiritani), and through tougher challenges from his rival prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth, or Reiji Mitsurugi (Takumi Saito), Phoenix will find the trust within his clients and fate within the evidence to unlock the truth

According to Capcom-Unity and JEfusion, the story stays true to the game, and I hope the U.S. and other nations out there will receive the movie on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Gotta keep movin'

"My last review video is being panned on YouTube and well I've decided to go the extra mile for my future reviews. I know Doug (NC) and James (AVGN) did not become popular overnight, but I'll be lucky if I can even be half as good as them." ~ EZ "EZ Rider" Peterson

If you want inspiration, take it from what EZ Rider said. Not only him, but for the people who started on the lower top of the barrel on the internet reviewing cycle. I know people will say the whole internet reviewing trend is stale and unoriginal, but so as everything. I have learned that the hard way when I started on the SRS Gamer review show in 2008, and something tells me that I shouldn't gave up so easily. Right now, I'm mostly busy with school, trying my best to keep my grades up, (especially pulling them up to a C or B averages), trying to find a job, and mostly busy with real life problem outside the internet. Like EZ, I too have a long way to go and hopefully when I become lucky, I will attract some fans since I have some knowledge in underrated games.

I want to introduce people to games such as Popful Mail, Ys, the Mana series, and many more. Hell, if I want to be obscure, I might as well give out a text review on some rated "M" titles like "Pachinko Sexy Reaction"

I'm lucky to be part of the websites such as Reviewers Unknown and the Game Toon Zone. I'm also part of Reviewtopia (well somewhat part of it since I'm in the community reviews) I have met new friends, re-unite with older friends (like the Gaming Pixie, Koi Kitsune, and BigAl), and became friends with a long time enemy (Spax BTW), and a friend of mine, Latieria, want to be part of my Turnabout Entertainment show, and she loves the concept and it's fun to work with her as we discuss and she help with the co-writing, Like Lucca, the voice actress of Maya Fey in my series, and come up with epic ideas along the way.

Anyways, I wanna give a special shout out to EZ Rider for finishing up "Moonrise". Great job, and I will watch it again.

Later days.

Welcome to my Turnabout Entrertainment Blogspot account.

2011-12-29T21:39:00.000-08:00

I'm pretty sure that I will be using this website to upload my videos, text reviews and blogs as well. I will be keeping my game-face on when it comes to reviewing and updates on my everyday life and what's going down. I tried it once on Wordpress blog I have under the name, "theMikeMaverickProject" and realized...I have friends on Blogger. Anyways, I will continue to update on Blogger for Great Justice. =)

About Ys and Piracy

2011-12-29T20:46:00.000-08:00

Not all Ys fans are pirates, and this is coming from a fan of the series since the late 90s. When I was browsing around for Ys I and II Complete translation, I came across a comment from Nightwolfe who stated that “Ys fanholes love their pirating as well as their freeloading; that's not gonna change any time soon…” Well, if you have a problem with piracy, that’s fine when it comes to supporting games and anime, but still, targeting Ys fans all because of piracy of Ys I and II Complete is completely farfetched. I mean, I’m not attacking the guy or anything, but not most “Ys fanholes” are not into piracy and freeloading.

Ever since 2007, I was building up my Ys collection, as well as the game I have purchased for the Virtual Console, Ys: Book I and II, and YES I have Ys III for the SNES, but I will get the Sega Genesis and the TG-CD version soon.

Those types of games have got me into the fantasy style of action RPG and other genre of RPG such as Lufia, the Tales series, and the Legend of Heroes series. Those games gave me the satisfaction of searching more to these types of genre, especially the MMORPGs like Elsword and LaTale.

As for the piracy is concern, I don’t like piracy as much as any other person, unless there is a huge reason, for instance: the Kamen Rider Series never been released in the U.S., so they actually fan subbing it, thank you TV Nihon and JEFusion, but I don’t be too quick to judge a person or the fan base, that’s my two cents.
