&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Oggi ho corso 60'' sul tapis roulant. Non particolarmente veloce (4'50''/km), non particolarmente in salita (1,5%), ma è la mia prima vera corsa del 2012. Avevo una gran paura di sentire male al ginocchio, quasi cercavo il dolore. E invece niente. I tempi vanno da circa 1h35' a circa 1h45', non mi pare giusto fare una classifica tra di loro perchè hanno dato il meglio in condizioni proibitive e sono stati ugualmente bravi. Mi auguro che un qualcosa sia rimasto loro: emozioni, sensazioni, dolori, gioie... esperienze da sfruttare alla prossima occasione... Cosa? Come già annunciato non partecipo, anche se il dolore è ormai quasi un ricordo (la Tecar ha fatto il suo "sporco lavoro", ma anche il riposo c'ha messo del suo) è troppo tempo (quasi due mesi) che non corro, anche se mi sono continuato ad allenare (spinning e pesi).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Partecipano i miei tre amici, i miei tre alfieri, tre ragazzi del team Run&amp;amp;Motion, alla loro prima "vera" gara. Gli ho fatto le magliette (la scritta "I BELIEVE" non vuol dire "io ci credo" come ha detto qualcuno, ma "io credo", che ha un significato un pelino più profondo (ma non è il caso di approfondire qui; chi l'ha ricevuta ha capito), spero le indossino, perchè stamattina c'è freddo e pioggia mista neve... un bel battesimo!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Mi hanno trascinato (o mi sono trascinato, ancora non mi è chiaro), in una nuova avventura. domenica 29 gennaio 2012, Maratonina dei Turchi, la mezza maratona di Ceriale (SV).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;In questa gara, però, non sarò solo. Con me i miei tre fidi moschettieri di Run&amp;amp;Motion: Simone, Davide e Massimo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Allora, sono tre ragazzi che si impegnano, è poco (pochissimo) che corrono, vogliono mettersi alla prova. Il coraggio mi piace, quindi li accompagno e li preparo. Capisco che il tempo a disposizione non è molto, ma ho organizzato il loro allenamento e, senza tante pretese "cronometriche", andiamo a viverci questa corsa, con l'entusiamo dei bambini che aprono i regali di Natale, godendoci le emozioni che una performance del genere può regalare, impegnandoci a dare il meglio. Che poi è quello che conta.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Per quel che mi riguarda il ginocchio mi rompe le palle, ed è ormai una settimana, ho fatto un po' di antiinfiammatorio e un po' di riposo (3 giorni) le cose sembravano sistemate, ma dopo la corsetina di ieri, siamo quasi punto e a capo. Allora la decisione è la seguente. Non corro fino al 28 di questo mese, se tutto (come penso) si sistema, ho poi un mese per ottimizzare. &lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Come annunciato un mesetto fa, per il mio compleanno (l'otto novembre, appunto), avevo deciso di farmi "regalare" i soldi per fare il sesto tatuaggio. Che ho fatto oggi sull'avambraccio destro. Un ramo di ciliegio, con alcuni ideogrammi che simboleggiano il coraggio, la forza di volontà e la determinazione.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Le ho prese un po' al buio, acquistando on line sul sito del negozio "Koala Sport", ho specificato la mia taglia e devo dire che mi calzano proprio bene. Sono arrivate mezz'ora fa, oggi in palestra le tengo ai piedi tutto il giorno, in modo da provarle, con tutta calma domattina. Saluto con affetto le Diadora Mythos Samurai 3, che alla Firenze Marathon mi hanno regalato una delle emozioni sportive più grandi della mia vita.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;La Maratona, per chi non è ferrato, è la regina delle corse di lunga durata (e per questo merita la maiuscola), lunga a sufficienza (42km195metri) da coninvolgere totalmente l'essere umano che la percorre, in uno stretto connubio corpo-mente, ma lontana dalle esagerazioni delle modaiole "ultra" (che hanno comunque il loro fascino). Una prova totale che richiede una ferrea disciplina e preparazione nei mesi che la precedono.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Partiamo proprio da qui. Da come ho affrontato e costruito questa mia partecipazione. Dobbiamo fare qualche passo indietro...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;L'idea di affrontare (ri-affrontare) un percorso (soprattutto interiore) di purificazione con la fatica è spuntata l'estate appenba scorsa, dopo un inverno difficile, duro, spossante. Non ricordo bene che cosa sia scattato, in quel periodo (ma in fondo possiamo dire negli ultimi due anni) non correvo molto, forse, quindi, quel sapore di sfida impossibile mi attraeva particolarmente. Il programma, nella mia testa era presto fatto. Dal primo di agosto passare da due corse di 30' alla settimana a tre, dal primo di settembre le corse dovevano diventare da 45'. I ritmi, decisamente infernali. Siccome mi ero messo in testa di correre la gara in 3 ore (4'15''/km), quello doveva diventare un mio "ritmo di riposo". Quindi allenamenti violenti a 3'30'' - 3'40'', con "defaticamenti a 4'/km.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;In teoria tutto bene, tutto facile. In pratica... il trascloco che non avveniva mai, ha deciso di comparire tra la fine di agosto ed i primi di settembre, con il risultato che fino a metà di quest'ultimo non ho particamente mai corso, saltando, quindi, quasi due settimane di preparazione. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Non è che sono rimasto proprio fermo... qualche piccola corsetta ogni tanto (tiratissima, magari in salita) e le mie 5 lezioni settimanali di spinning. Ma il mio programma subiva, così, una imprevedibile modifica.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Arriviamo, dunque, ad ottobre, dove cerco di infilare 2/3 corse veloci da 40 - 45' e una (sempre tirata) da 60'. Riesco più o meno sempre (complice il clima favorevole) a portare a casa il lavoro. Il problema è che la gara si avvicina. tocca infilare la corsa lunga... quindi a novembre cerco di buttare 3 corse da 45-50' e una più lunga... riesco ad inserire un allenamento da 1h30' (forte, forse troppo, stremato all'arrivo) e uno da 2h (ritmo leggermente più veloce di quello "Maratona", buone sensazioni), ma nulla di più. Incomincio a stufarmi di "dover correre", a me piace correre quando mi pare ed improvvisare, quindi questa necessarietà dei km mi mette un pochino a disagio. Tutto sommato, però, un po' di fieno in cascina c'è, contando che ogni settimana, oltre alle 3/4 corse, ci sono 5 lezioni di spinning. Ora mi aspetta la prova finale. Firenze.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Non so se capita anche a voi, ma i due tre giorni prima della prestazione le ho avute tutte... dolori ovunque, stanchezza assoluta, poca voglia... quasi il corpo dicesse "occhio, ma cosa vuoi fare, alla tua età...". Finalmente, poi, è arrivato il momento. Lascio perdere tutto il racconto dei momenti prima della partenza, il tragitto dall'albergo al Lungarno, tutta la concentrazione accumulata... sono cose mie, sono i miei riti, le mie manie, i miei mantra, recitati nel silenzio della mia mente. In un momento, lungo ore, ero pronto. Via la tuta, un po' di riscaldamento e via...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;I primi km facilissimi, a farmi pensare di essere partito troppo piano. Al 15 km dovevo rallentare per non sorpassare i "palloncini" delle tre ore. Un campanello in testa mi suggeriva il ritmo, il mio respiro, facile mi permetteva di chiaccherare con i compagni di viaggio, il mio passo leggero non aveva cedimenti. Il passaggio alla mezza, in 1h29' e poco più era simbolo di questa mia condizione idilliaca. Condizione che, grossomodo, prosegue fino al 28/30° km. Quando supero la linea dei 30k, le gambe già facevano male, ma il passaggio in 2h07' era in linea con le aspettative, mi volto verso un compagno di fatica e gli dico "sono due anni e mezzo che non corro più di 30 km, mi sembra fantastico!!!" la sua faccia stupita mi sembra la risposta migliore. Il dolore agli arti inferiori aumenta, stringo i denti e tengo duro.Al 34°, con ancora i palloncini a qualche metro di distanza mi aspettano Mary e Paride. Provano a farmi una foto e passarmi una bottiglietta con acqua, sali e glucosio... un numero da circo... ma che funziona!!! Il vai Fede e il vai Pappo, (ma non l'intruglio ingurgitato... vomitevole) fanno un mezzo miracolo, e per un km, complice anche il tifo di Piazza Duomo, torno ad essere me stesso. Poi il dolore diventa quasi insopportabile. Ho superato gente che zoppicava, gente che si trascinava, ma a costo di arrivare sui gomiti non mi sarei fermato. Certo che no. Questa Maratona non l'ho corsa per me. Non devo dimostrare più niente a nessuno; l'ho corsa per altri motivi. E allora quando in testa le tentazioni dolorifiche mi suggerivano la resa, le immagini che comparivano mi dicevano di fare il contrario... sentivo il rumore di quel rasoio maledetto, vedevo i ciuffi che cadevano a terra inesorabili e poi il volto, e quell'odore, quell'odore che non lavi via neanche sotto la doccia, l'odore di quelle flebo che solo a starci vicino viene da vomitare. Quella è resistenza, quella è sofferenza... la mia è solo una passeggiata, mi dico; stringo i denti e vado avanti, quindi quando, come d'incanto, vedo la scritta 42km, il fatto di accelerare, quasi in preda ai crampi, viene da solo e quei pugni che, con violenza, spingo in alto mi dicono che ci sono riuscito. 3h04'23''. Non è un tempo da Olimpiadi, ne sono consapevole, ma ho dato tutto me stesso in una maniera così viscerale che è come se avessi vinto. Tutti possono correre una Maratona. Pochi riescono a viverla. Questa l'ho vissuta, in tutto e per tutto (e per tutti). Il rammarico di aver mancato l'obiettivo per poco più di 4' in effetti non c'è. Ho raggiunto me stesso. questo basta e avanza.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Come al solito prosegue la nostra avventura podistica Run&amp;amp;motion. Dopo ponti, alluvioni, mareggiate e ben tre settimane di assenza, ieri ci siamo presentati al via, nella consueta formazione tipo. Per l'occasione un rinomato fotografo locale (Gix), ha voluto immortalare la squadra in allenamento: statuari come divinità greche, performanti come atleti olimpionici.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Riconosciamo, oltre alla prorompente fisicità (e chioma) del sottoscritto, il profilo segnato dal lavoro con i pesi dell'avvocato Paolo, le tornite gambe del rocker Simone, le devastanti leve di Davide, gli addominali cesellati di Gianni, la steroideica muscolarità di Massimo, il bicipite ipertrofico di Matteo, la fisicità statuaria di Massimo Maiocco, la leggiadria della Manu e la velocità di gambe di Michele... Un affiatato gruppo di VERI sportivi che ad ampie falcate solca le impervie strade di Finale. E negli occhi di che ci guarda passare non posso fare altro che scorgere un pizzico di invidia...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Diadora Mythos Samurai 3 (diciamo che le ho prese perchè si chiamano Samurai...). Allora, pur essndo classificate come A2, le ho trovate un pochino più rigide rispetto alle precedenti (sia Brooks Launch che Mizuno Precision), sicuramente leggere e, tutto sommato confortevoli e protettive. Devo cercare di ammorbidirle un po', con qualche corsa ben fatta, visto che saranno le mie compagne nella Firenze Marathon del 27/11. &lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Siamo ripartiti!!! Ieri, martedi 20 settembre, una decina di baldanzosi atleti hanno solcato ad ampie falcate le strade finalesi, per i primi 30' di run&amp;amp;motion nuova stagione.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

Un atto di coraggio o una ennesima dimostrazione di follia?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: arial;"&gt;E' dal marzo 2009 che non mi cimento sulla distanza regina e, con rammarico, devo dire che in questi due anni e mezzo non ho corso proprio tantissimo, tanti allenamenti corti e veloci, ma poco lavoro lungo... chissà.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: arial;"&gt;Obiettivo, come sempre, quello di dare il massimo ed uscirne vivo; obiettivo non dichiarato, beh quello c'è, ma essendo "non dichiarato" non lo diciamo, però contando che ho un "personale" di 3h15', costruito con due corse alla settimana e un po' di cross training, questa volta che ho in programma tre corse alla settimana e un po' di cross training... vedremo!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: arial;"&gt;Dimenticavo... pettorale 2019&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/913432186659976846-8264898620874674396?l=runemotion.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

Devo dire che è stato quasi commovente, perchè se da un lato c'era l'inevitabile gioia (tipo quando finisce la scuola) sempre legata all'ultima lezione, dall'altro c'era una sorta di malinconia dettata dal fatto che, e lo dico veramente, quest'anno ho avuto delle classi eccellenti, fino alla fine.&lt;br /&gt;L'inizio è stato volutamente tranquillo, la musica, timido sottofondo, ci ha accompagnato per quasi 10 minuti in una strada pianeggiante, dove il profumo dei fiori, il frusciare degli alberi e la "fresca" brezza estiva erano quasi tangibili. Poi è stata subito bagarre... la strada ha impennato, violenta ma pedalabile, per pochi minuti, fino ad accompagnarci ad un altro tratto (ultimo!) pianeggiante, dove abbiamo mantenuto l'intensità su valori medi inserendo qualche piccolo salto. Da questo momento in poi solo salita, ritmi pazzeschi dettati da percussioni che confondevano anche il battito del cuore, piccoli recuperi con melodie romantiche ma allo stesso tempo dense di significato che permettevano riposo alle gambe e inebriavano lo spirito, fino ad un'ultima rampa, sei minuti di energia allo stato puro, dove il fuoco che ardeva dentro di noi ha sprigionato tutta la sua forza, trascinandoci in cima alla strada e, con un ultimo tratto, galoppato liberi come purosangue nella prateria, siamo giunti sulla via di casa... La musica degli ultimi minuti ha regalato il resto delle emozioni, tante emozioni vissute insieme, da settembre 2010 a giugno 2011, indimenticabili...&lt;br /&gt;Un abbraccio "virtuale" a tutti i partecipanti alle lezioni. La nostra struttura scheletrica, le nostre modalità di consumo energetico, le nostre capacità di smaltire il calore prodotto, sono quelle di un efficientissimo corridore di lunga durata. Un recente articolo comparso su &lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-weight:bold"&gt;Nature &lt;/span&gt;ce ne spiega il perché.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p style="font-family: arial;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Spesso ci sentiamo dire in palestra (dove è attivo da un paio di anni : “Run&amp;amp;Motion”, un programma di avvicinamento alla corsa) quanto correre sia una innaturale forzatura per il nostro organismo, quanto ci faccia male, quanto sia sport faticoso, dannoso, rischioso. Questa posizione serve, in genere, solo a giustificare una sedentarietà di lunga data, i cui effetti sul sovrappeso e sulla salute talvolta sono spesso più che visibili. Bene, farà piacere a molti sapere che le cose stanno esattamente all'opposto. Chiaramente chi inizia a correre senza la minima preparazione o dopo parecchio tempo di sedentarietà non ricaverà belle sensazioni dalle prime uscite, muscoli doloranti, cuore in gola, respiro affannoso…; ma questo è semplicemente dovuto ad alcuni grossolani errori, facilmente evitabili con un avvicinamento graduale all’attività fisica, non certo ad un rifiuto del corpo alla corsa. Perché il nostro corpo è nato per correre. Questa l'autorevole opinione di due eminenti studiosi americani, Dennis Bramble e Daniel Lieberman, che hanno pubblicato una ricerca di estremo interesse su &lt;b&gt;Nature&lt;/b&gt; nel Novembre 2004:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p style="font-family: arial;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;“&lt;a href="http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v432/n7015/full/nature03052.html"&gt;http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v432/n7015/full/nature03052.html&lt;/a&gt;”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p style="font-family: arial;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Lo studio ha analizzato in dettaglio le caratteristiche differenziali tra Homo sapiens e i suoi ominidi predecessori, come Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Australopithecus afarensis (la famosa “Lucy”) e le moderne scimmie antropomorfe come lo scimpanzé. Sono state esaminate le peculiarità di Homo sapiens (cioè le nostre) sotto quattro diversi punti di vista: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul style="font-family: arial;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;      mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 36.0pt"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Meccanismi energetici &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;      mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 36.0pt"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Forze a cui lo scheletro è soggetto &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;      mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 36.0pt"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Bilanciamento in corsa &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;      mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 36.0pt"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Termoregolazione&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p style="font-family: arial;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Sotto ciascuno di questi punti di vista emerge con chiarezza come le modificazioni fisiche che differenziano il corpo dell'uomo da quello della scimmia non servano solo a camminare o a stare in piedi come bipedi, ma trovino una piena giustificazione specificamente nell'accompagnare in modo efficiente un'azione di corsa di lunga durata.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p style="font-family: arial;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;L’uomo si è distaccato dagli altri primati modificando tutte le sue abitudini (alimentari, sessuali, sociali e di linguaggio) grazie ad un adattamento corporeo alla corsa di lunga durata. In pratica solo la capacità di correre a lungo ci ha permesso di ”uscire dal gruppo”, cambiando poi, poco per volta, tutto il resto (cervello, apparato digerente, corde vocali).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Dal punto di vista energetico gli uomini, rispetto alle scimmie, dispongono di un buon numero di tendini legati a corti fasci muscolari, in grado di generare forza in modo molto economico. Durante una blanda camminata una struttura muscolare del genere non genera particolari vantaggi, ma quando si corre il risparmio energetico diventa quasi del 50%! Al contrario grandi muscoli con piccoli tendini, come quelli dei primati nostri predecessori, permettono grande potenza, ma con alto consumo energetico. Anche la lunghezza delle gambe è correlata al risparmio energetico (le nostre molto più lunghe), così come un piede più corto e snello e arti superiori più piccoli. Infine la mutazione di un gene ha prodotto nelle gambe un’alta percentuale di fibre rosse (slow-twitch fibers) dalla grande efficienza aerobica. Grazie a questi cambiamenti la macchina-uomo ha potuto affrontare corse di lunga durata in modo energeticamente paragonabile a quadrupedi di grande efficienza, come i cavalli o i cani, pur conservando bipedismo e postura eretta.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Ci sono stati importanti cambiamenti anche dal punto di vista della forza e robustezza dello scheletro, atti a sopportare i notevoli carichi che si sviluppano nella corsa, così come modificazioni importanti a livello muscolare (basti pensare al muscolo gluteo, terribilmente potente nell’uomo e praticamente insignificante nei primati: noi adatti a correre, loro ad arrampicarsi sugli alberi). Importantissimo, infine, lo sviluppo di un forte legamento nucale (tipico dei grandi animali corridori; serve a sopportare le flessioni in avanti della testa nella corsa), assente negli Australopitechi e negli scimpanzé (che evidentemente non avevano ragione di correre). Evidenti anche i cambiamenti avvenuti per facilitare la termoregolazione, come perdita di gran parte del pelo e l’aumento delle ghiandole sudoripare ed un adattamento alla respirazione con la bocca, sotto sforzo, sconosciuta agli scimpanzé.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Volenti o nolenti, dobbiamo ammettere che la corsa fa parte di noi, della nostra storia, del nostro corpo, del nostro equilibrio psicofisico. Se proprio non riusciamo a correre, almeno muoviamoci con costanza, il “sedentario” sta rinunciando a qualcosa che è stato centrale nella sua storia evolutiva.
