Hey all! Once again, apologies for my MIA with too many events going on with my life that I sort of abandoned my little blog for a while.

I'm back now, being more inspired than ever, especially with this one guest blogger - Jackie Clark. Jackie does outreach for the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance, a leading web resource for mesothelioma cancer. Jackie approached me with a strong inspirational interest to guest blog on my fashion blog with the idea of combining fashion x fighting cancer. I just had to post the article, it's truly amazing, have a read and tell me what you think:

- All women love looking and feeling their best. It's a fact that looking one's best and feeling one's best go hand in hand: looking your best helps you to feel better, and feeling your best makes you look better. But what about the times when a woman doesn't necessarily feel her best, but still wants to look like a million bucks? For women who are receiving cancer treatments, feeling their best isn't always easy. For example, women in treatment for mesothelioma and other cancers often feel sick and tired. These treatments can be overwhelming and exhausting: mentally and emotionally, as well as physically. It's understandable that many women in this situation opt for comfort over style. Instead of focusing on outward appearances, many tend to concern themselves with what's going on inside their bodies. However, it is important for women, especially those who have been diagnosed with cancer, to look and feel their best.

Experimenting with fashion is a great way for women to give their spirits and self-confidence a tremendous boost. It's important to have your own personal style, but it's also fun to try things you've never tried before. If you're used to wearing jeans or slacks every day, try a little black dress. If you're already accustomed to dresses and skirts, try wearing different, edgier accessories to update your look. Accessories such as shoes and jewelry can make a tired outfit feel brand new. Try dangling earrings, waist-cinching belts and even fancy or funky hosiery!

Most women love shoes, but many are If you're used to wearing flats, try a pair of heels just to see how it feels! And if stilettos are too much for you, consider trying a pair of wedges, or even dressier flats. Sexy, strappy sandals are a great option for warm weather, whereas tall boots are perfect for winter.

Feeling better through fashion doesn't have to stop with clothes, shoes and accessories; experimenting with makeup is also a great way to give your self-confidence a little shove in the right direction. For example, bright red lipstick can instantly make a woman feel beautiful and glamorous, despite her health or mood. The same can be said for false eyelashes, a new hairstyle or color, smokey eye shadow, and even a dazzling manicure.

Expressing themselves through fashion is a wonderful way for women with cancer to look and feel their best. And remember this one simple rule: You have to get dressed anyway, so you may as well have fun with it. After all, it takes just as much effort to put on sweatpants and a t-shirt as it takes to put on a little black dress and heels.

BOLD lips

Big and Bold coloured lips seem to stay hot on the runways for quite a few seasons, and has been a love for several A-listers. It does, somehow, have a dose of 'vava-voom'-effect on the lips, pretty much guarantees everyone's attention. What's not to love about em?
Bold, Bright, Gorgeous, Sexy, Kissable, bright lip colours also act as the perfect icing on the cake to whatever outfit you're pulling off ;)

Inspired by bold lips, I attempted on the only bright lip colour I have, check out my humble photo below, I'm considering getting some new coral colours now ;)

Ever freaked out before a cocktail/smart casual dress code event? I know I did! I'll go frantic and blank with no idea on what to wear, trying to rummage through my wardrobe the last minute, and before I realised, the whole bed would be covered in clothes and accessories with nothing being deiced.
Sometimes I thought being a dude is much more easier, black tie, suit or a tux will do for almost any dinner!

This is one of those moments when I'm all psyched up with writing up a blog post.
I have never done this before, but I actually got the wonderful opportunity and permission to head into a local designer store, tried on the crazy amazing pieces, took photos, and wrote a blog post about it. What's even better, I scored the opportunity to appear in their online shop catalogue! I'm a happy girl ;)

Armoire's flagshipe store in Malaysia.

The label - ARMOIRE (yep I know, such a glamorous word and I didin't know how to pronounce it initially, well ladies and gentlemen, it's pronounced as 'armwahr' or ärm-wär, meaning "wardrobe" in French), according to the talented designer Evon Tan, is inspired by French fashion during her Europe trip.

My favourite piece from Armoire, the leopard print blazer-jacket, extremely well-fitted! It gives you curves ;)

Armoire's collection has it's own impeccable style and transcends a mix of Far East-European elegance, incorporated clean-cut tailoring to suit the modern-day women's desire in fashion. All pieces of Armoire's are made with high-quality fabrics imported from all over the world, personally hand-picked by the designer herself. Armoire's perfectly tailored dresses are aimed for women aged between 26-35, but after going through almost all of the pieces in the boutique in person, I'd say the collections are definitely versatile enough for every girl and woman of a wide range of ages, perfect from day-to night wear ;)

The talented designer Evon Tan behind the label

Pictured above is the gorgeous and down-to-earth designer Evon Tan, the mastermind behind all these perfect collection, was actually a graduate with a Chemical Engineering degree and had no whatsoever training behind fashion design. This is what have truly impressed and inspired me. She has always wanted to go for design but opted for a proper degree before jumping straight into it. Well luckily, she did and see what happened - the birth of another amazing label to feast our fashion craves. This perfect mix of an engineering background with fashion design also explains the main vision behind Armoire - 'To Engineer the Perfect Dress".

Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev, an actress most well known for her portrayal of two very different characters in the same tv hit series The Vampire Diaries. I fell in love with her ever since I watched the first episode. I thought she's absolutely gorgeous and I admire her talent in changing roles and acting so well in the same story plot. A lot of media has reported Miss Dobrev as really sweet and down-to-earth in person, but in The Vampire Diaries it's a lot more. Hence NYLON magazine was smart enough to snap her up for their cover and created a shoot with her that brought out her inner darker and rebellious side. I must say they did a good job! Also being a former teen model erself, Nina looked effortlessly cool and stunning in this shoot :)

Emma the Midnight Rose

I lost count of how many times I have blogged about Emma Watson. Yes, I admit, I'm a massive fan of her, not just a pretty face, but an amazing actress, stlye icon, and young achiever. I'd say she's one of my biggest inspiration ;)
I got extremely excited when I finally get to watch Lancome’s Trésor Midnight Rose fragrance campaign video, starring Emma Watson with French hottie actor Cyril Descours (yes, I have to add the word 'hottie' cos I think it's necessary). The video was mildly tinted with purple to bring out the purple essence of the new fragrance bottle. Emma looked amazingly gorgeous with classic deep red lip, and I'm especially in love with her parissien chic look at the book store, enjoy the vid people ;)

Pieces with printed snake skin/textures are absolutely gorgeous don't you think? (I dun mean REAL snake skin, I'm against animal cruelty :)
Lately there's all this buzz in the fashion world about animal instincts, animal prints etc, I know it's been going on for a while now but it seems like the trend survived pretty well. Successfully gained the attention of many fashion lovers including myself, I thought wearing animal prints actually give you a kind of mysterious vibe, elegance, edgy and sophisticated, perfect for modern day women. My preference so far would be snake like textures. what are yours? zebra prints, leopard prints, or tiger strips?
