Just as an experiment, a friend of mine subscribe to ten different opt-in e-mail marketing lists to see which ones are effective. Many websites and online businesses have resorted to sending promotional materials to people who have subscribed to them in an effort to boost their sales or traffic. Opt-in email marketing sends newsletters, catalogs updates and many more promotional materials to website visitors who have agreed to be updated whether monthly, weekly or semiannually.

Through e-mail, an internet user that is on the list will receive their updates through email. If a promotional material piques their interest they will go to the site to learn more or to purchase outright. For the website operators or owners, this is a chance to remind their list of their existence and parlor their wares. PLR and free reprint articles have in common the fact that they are both a quick way to get quality content for your website. Both come in a wide array of topics.

However with free reprint articles you are very limited. Basically you can just copy and paste them to your website. You have to leave the author box intact and you have to name the author, thus giving them all of the credit for the article.

The author of the article gets traffic and possibly sales from your website because you are advertising for them when you place their free reprint articles on your website.

While this isn’t a bad thing, because sometimes you run across articles that you feel would greatly benefit your audience, if done moderately, you wouldn’t want all of your content to consist of someone else’s work with their name attached to it.

With PLR you are not limited because you do not have to name the author. As far as you readers are concerned, you are the author and you get all of the credit.

There isn’t an author box when you use PLR. In fact if you don’t tell anyone you are using PLR, no one else will either. How will they know? There are no identifying factors that show you are using someone else’s work.

Using PLR is like having a ghost writer at your beck and call minus the exclusivity and the huge price tag. However you can easily edit the articles and make them exclusive or unique to you alone.

If there is something that you wish to add you can do so. If there is something you don’t agree with you can either omit it or add your own opinion to the article.

You can create videos, ebooks and more from PLR. Once you purchase PLR it belongs to you. You can’t get those kind of perks with Free reprinted articles because all credit goes to the author. You can’t sell work that doesn’t belong to you without the authors permission.

Build links randomly, index links systematically

Tips on getting better SEO rankings are ten a penny these days, and the methods change so quickly! And for good reason too. Almost everyone that’s doing SEO today will have seen their ranking rise and fall - seemingly at random. Google, Yahoo and Bing are all individual companies that rank your website based on their own private systems/algorithms – so a lot of it is out of your hands.

So how can you definitely achieve top rankings? Well, the method that I use with each new site that I build is to use the Mini-Net system.

Before you begin this you have to make absolutely sure your onsite optimization is really good, so your efforts pay off quicker and easier.

Everyone knows you have to build backlinks, but with so much conflicting information around how do you know what works best? After all, there are people saying ‘Don’t build too many links a day or you’ll be sandboxed’; which is exactly the opposite view to ‘Inbound links can’t damage your site, otherwise everyone would be spamming their competitors sites’.

I’m not going to take a side, I’m just going to let you know what works.

When building your backlinks it’s important to build them in a random pattern – this is even more effective than a pyramid. Tiered structures work great...

...you cannot not rank!

Not happy to only give you one of my secrets in one post, here’s another: Once you’ve built your backlinks, your work is only half finished.

You see the thing that separates the marketers that get the high rankings, and those that want the high rankings is backlink indexing. You have to work with your links and make sure they get found, spidered and indexed.

Now traditionally that would mean backlinking even more – which leaves you with more links to work with! While this does work well, it’s too much work.

It’s far better to use a software program to convert all you links into RSS Feeds and submit them all over the internet - it’s quicker and much more effective.

A great program that I bought recently and now pretty much use every day is Index Assistant.

It builds your links into different types of RSS Feeds and gets to work – getting tons of links indexed each submission. I think it was only around $60 and it just saved one of my staff about 20 hours a week of work. Not a bad return on investment.

So today’s lesson summed up in a sentence? = “Build links randomly, index links systematically”
