Of course our election was peaceful. There was nothing like violence which made the election one of it's kind.

Most appreciative is the way students turn up. Who knew that students will come out to vote like this. I personally was puzzled.

And to God be the glory, we are proud to announce to the general public the winners for each categories but before we do that, please note that everyone is a winner and remember that I kept saying something to the hearing of everyone " politics, election and voting is not what we were sent to do in school.... It is only a school activity and we cherish it because they help us in many aspects".

If you're not among the winners, there's definitely a reason for that. You might think you're the best but God is just the perfect choice maker.

JAMB registers over 1,171,998 candidates, reveals steps to resolve registration issues

JAMB has revealed that about 1,116,662 candidates have been registered in the ongoing 2021 UTME registration while over 55,336 candidates have been registered for the Direct Entry as of May 16th, 2021. This was contained in the weekly bulletin publication of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) via its official website.

The board also disclosed measures that have been put in place to ensure that as many candidates as possible are able to register before the new deadline.

In order to resolve the bottlenecks that have been identified in the ongoing registration the following measures have been put in place;

i. The Board is to seek an alternative Value-Added Service (VAS) provider to enhance the smooth dispatch of profile

codes.

ii. CBT centres are to, henceforth, stop the sale of pins as flouting this directive would attract appropriate sanctions.

iii. No CBT centre is allowed to collect e PIN and registration fees simultaneously.

iv. No CBT centre is to collect registration fee until completion of registration.

v. The Board reiterated the prohibition of group registration for candidates while CBT centres are forbidden from

registering candidates in groups, especially from elite schools.

vi. CBT centres are to ensure optimal utilization of their registration outlets by opening all the twenty (20) allowable

registration points to ease congestion.

vii. Candidates for Direct Entry are reminded to specify their category of admission while procuring their pins. As

such, if a DE candidate mistakenly purchases an ePIN for UTME, the selling point is to rectify the error by swapping

the ePIN to DE at no further cost to the candidate.

viii. JAMB Digital Service Providers were encouraged to expand their facilities, which include the provision of redundancy links for more efficient service delivery.

ix. Extraction of pledge from NIMC to give priority attention to UTME/DE prospective candidates. Consequently,

all prospective candidates and other Users who have not received a response from 55019 are advised to send their

Tracking ID or NIN to nimc-jamb2021@nimc.gov.ng However, those who had obtained their NINs through

unauthorised sources and are having challenges would have to visit the NIMC office to resolve them.

x. NIMC to deploy special monitoring teams to monitor its operators to forestall any incidence of extortion and to sanction any NIMC agent found extorting candidates in the cause of enrollment.

xi. Against the background of below par performance from one of the service providers, a firm commitment to

optimise its service during the period of the extension of registration was obtained from the operator.

Similarly, the stakeholders also implored the Federal Ministry of Education to introduce a policy that would discourage parents from seeking to register underage and immature candidates for the UTME to pursue tertiary education ahead of their time.

300 LEVEL STUDENT OF UNICAL COMMITS SUICIDE AS HE COULDN'T PAY HIS DEBT

A 300 level student of the Department of Religious Studies UNICAL, Mazi, has comitted suicide bacuase he wasn't able to pay up to 4million naira he collected from people to do online investment.

Meanwhile, the department have refused to mourn him or do any form of procession because it was shameful death.

JAMB shifts 2021 registration deadline, dates for UTME and Mock by 2 weeks

JAMB has made huge changes to the 2021 UTME calendar by shifting the dates of UTME, mock and registration deadline by 2 weeks. The 2021 UTME, which was initially expected to begin as from 5th June, 2021 has now been moved to begin from 19th June, 2021 and will run until 3rd July, 2021.

In a similar fashion, the registration deadline has been moved to 29th May, 2021. This is a 2 weeks shift from the initial deadline.

Again, the JAMB mock exam for 2021 which was earlier slated for 20th May, will now hold on 3rd June.

The JAMB registrar explained that these changes had become relevant and unavoidable due to the challenges experienced during registration, which saw over 600,000 candidates left out of the process.

JAMB closes Sales of Direct Entry E-pin 2021

Information reaching us as at 14th of May, 2021 has it that JAMB Direct Entry E-pin for registration is no longer available for vending. This implies that JAMB had closed the sales of Direct Entry E-pin 2021.

In view of this, we urge all Direct Entry aspirants who are yet to register for the 2021 session to vend UTME Pin and will after all do conversation to DE immediately after Jamb exam.

Note that for now, the closing date for JAMB Registration remains 15th of May. Though we hope that an extension is annouced before 15th of May.

FUTO extends MBBS application deadline, 2020/2021

This is to inform all prospective students willing to apply for the medicine and surgery course of Federal University of Owerri that the management has extended the registration deadline.

According to the management, the new Deadline is 24th May, 2021.

All candidates are to make use of this opportunity to complete their registration.

All interested candidates who chose FUTO as First Choice University in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 220 are eligible to apply.

Those who did not choose FUTO as first choice University but scored a minimum of 220 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution to FUTO and course to Medicine & Surgery only on JAMB CAPS not later than May 10th, 2021.

UTME subject combination of English Language, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics is applicable in addition to possession of at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at one sitting.

Application commences on Monday 3rd May, 2021 and closes on Monday 10th May, 2021.

Mode of Payment and Registration Procedure

Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00) only.

FULOKOJA Cut-off Mark for 2020/2021 Academic Session is out

The management of Federal University Lokoja, (FULOKOJA) has pegged 180 and 49.5% as the JAMB and departmental Cut-off mark for 2020/2021 academic session respectively.

This implies that all 2020 JAMB candidates who scored at least 180 in UTME and chose FULOKOJA as their choice of institution are eligible to get the FULOKOJA POST UTME FORM.

Also this means that all candidates who scored at least 49.5% in the screening will be considered for admission into any course of their choice.

All candidates who participated in the Admissions Screening Exercise and also seeking admissions into FUL should ensure that their O’level results are uploaded/updated on the Jamb e-Facility platform as it would impact on their admission.

Corona students win $2 million scholarships

Some students of Corona secondary school, Agbara, Ogun state have won themselves $2 million worth of scholarship grants after performing excellently in various competitions.

A statement released by the school management disclosed that the school prefect, Jay Esemudje received the Council of British International School (COBIS) award, and is said to be the first student in Africa to win the Association of International School Award (AISA) with a scholarship grant of over $600,000.

Other COBIS awardees are, Tamara Akika and Kenechukwu Ozoemene. Oyindoubra Akika emerged as the overall winner of the National History Award (NHA), in Nigeria, followed by Toluwanimi Sonuga who also got the NHA award.

The school principal, Mrs. Chinedum Oluwadamilola during the award presentation ceremony, commended the students for making the school proud with their diligence and commitment to success.

Candidates are required to visit https://portal.delsu.edu.ng/ to generate virtual pin of N15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only payable at any of Ecobank, Unity Bank, Zenith Bank or UBA banks.

PROCEDURE TO GENERATE VIRTUAL PIN

i) Visit https://portal.delsu.edu.ng/

ii) Click online registration

iii) Click Start

(iv) Click Diploma Programme

(v) Click Start

(vi) Submit the form and generate pin

(vii) Print out the pin generated

(viii). Visit the specified bank for payment.

(viii) Candidates should with the payment pin (valid for six (6) hours only) access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2020/2021 Diploma Form online at https://portal.delsu.edu.ng/ with their recent coloured passport-sized photograph (JPEG format & 20kb in size).

(ix). Candidates are advised to use virtual pin immediately after payment, as the pin will be invalid after six (6) hours of generation.

(x) Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the front page of the website before completing the form.

(xi). Candidates are required to come to the examination venue with the following:

a copy of the Print-out of completed on-line confirmation of application;

two recent passport-sized colour photographs with full names of candidates & signature on the reversed side of photographs;

four-figure table (where applicable), biro, HB pencil and eraser.

NOTE:

Candidates are to log in ONLY the courses they chose for the Diploma Programme.

GSM phones are not allowed.

Parents, guardians and well-wishers will not be allowed to stay around the venue of the examination.

Any person caught impersonating will be handed over to the Police and the candidates impersonated will automatically be disqualified.

All Candidates with four (4) Credits are advised to make up the relevant five (5) Credits at the end of the programme to enable them to qualify for the degree programme.

DIPLOMA PROGRAMME: Online application starts: 26th August 2020 and closes: Midnight on 31st March 2021.

NEW DIPLOMA PROGRAMME: Online application starts on 5th September 2020. Application Website closes by 6.00 p.m. on 31st May 2021.

2021 UTME/DE: Network operators deny being responsible for registration issues

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and mobile telecommunication operators have been blamed for the inability of some prospective candidates to register for the ongoing 2021 UTME/DE. The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), responsible for the issuance of NIN is expected to generate the linked number to be sent to candidates as soon as they input their required USSD code while the mobile telecommunication operators are expected to send the generated codes to the candidates.

However, these processes have not worked as smoothly as they sound, going by the difficulties being experienced by prospective candidates.

When contacted for a response concerning this, the chairman, Association of Licenced Telecommunications Operators in Nigeria (ALTON) said the delays cannot be from the systems of the telecommunication companies as its role is simply to transport the codes to the candidates and not to generate.

“Telecommunication companies don’t manage the process of generating the code for candidates, we only provide the “transport” access to their servers and we rely on the examination agency to generate the code. We don’t manage their database and as such we’re not responsible for generating the said examination code,” Mr. Adebayo said.

Efforts made to get an official of NIMC to respond to this did not yield any result as the phone number was unreachable and a message sent to the phone was yet to be replied as at the time of this report.

How to Check COHSTKEFFI Admission List

Candidates who applied for admission into the following National Diploma Programs; Environmental Health Technology, Health Information Management and Nutrition and Dietetics of the above-mentioned institution through Jamb for the 2020/2021 academic session are hereby advised to log into their Jamb profile and check their admission status.

Go to the JAMB admission portal.
Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.
Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your admission status.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to:

Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.

Candidates not yet admitted should note that admission is in progress, and regularly check the JAMB site and the University website for their admission status.

Furthermore, those who are offered admission are to proceed to the School for registration as follows:

The admission List of the Federal University of Dutse (FUDUTSE) for the 2020/2021 academic session has been released. This is to inform all candidates who participated in the 2020/2021 Post-UTME that they can proceed to check if their names are on the Provisional Admission list of successful candidates.
