We will have a valentine's party at work and we were asked to prepare gifts under $20 and I find it very exciting. Last year we had fun about this especially the singles and I hope this year it is more fun. It is also a great way to forget our stressful work for a meantime since we are completing the year end reports. So by the time of heart's day we are already finish with the reports and it's time to party party party...

I started blogging five years ago in my own computer. I wrote everyday from the day one I arrived here being an expat. I had a lot of fun summarizing my days adventure. And then I discovered a free blogging site. I learned and meet new friends young and old with different walks of life. I learned some are true others were not. I love being lurker to those who write so well and admired them greatly. I just wonder how they come up with their astonishing masterpieces.

Early as new year I made a resolution that I will reduce weight with in this year. I tried to lessen up some of my calorie intakes and more time for exercises like my usual early morning walks and biking around in our place. Before I have problems to gain weight this time that I have it is also quiet a problem to loosen up. But nowadays losing weight is faster and easy with the help of diet tips and exercises around. I have know this less carbo but more in protein diet. I hope I can have the result soon that will inspire me more.

He wanted to enroll in a dermatology course before but he chose to get a college course the same as his mom which is nursing. But now that he has served so many years in one hospital, yes he never left his first job in a local hospital. He decided to change careers. I mean add a career. He enrolled in a cosmetology school just likecosmetology school, where he trained to be the best beautician ever –that is his words anyway. He often times called me to tell me stories about his struggles in his learning process. Now he is one of the beauticians of a local star and has two branches of his saloon. I admired his aspirations in life.

New year's resolution

Last year this is my new year's resolution:

1. I will retain all bad habits.
2. I won’t save any money.
3. I won’t be good.
4. I won’t exercise or lose weight.

I intended the other way round just to motivate me more in achieving them all. And for this year this is still my new year's resolution since it helped me in a way. I got a little saving that at the end of the year I was able to buy myself a rare gift. For the other resolution I cant say that I have done it constantly but I tried my best and I will continue to do it this year. I hope I can be better this year.

Summer is the most awaited season in here. Due to long cold winter days it's time for vacations, grill parties, swimming, sunbathing, and other outdoor activities. It's also time for constructions, renovations and general cleaning for the households. It is also the best time for gardening, the surroundings are colorful with all flowers blooming around. The lawn is well maintained too.

We were all present in our family reunion during the holidays and we all enjoyed the said affair. One of my nephew happily informed me of his new work after applying for Webmaster Jobs in different companies. I am happy for him that finally he can start to achieve his goals and dream in life. Anyway, the family reunion was great specially the foods which was prepared by the chef cooks in the family. I wish we will have this family gathering every time to be closer to each other.

This coming holidays, I have already a full schedule of house invitation for lunch or dinner. My in laws are preparing for a family gathering and some friends also invited us to their lunch or dinner Christmas party. For this time I will not be on diet but to have a lot of burn out exercises after the holiday. Anyway its time to feast out and just enjoy the merrymaking with our loves ones.

O Christmas tree

Last Saturday, we visited a Christmas market in where the tallest Christmas tree stands there. They formed it by stacking hundreds of trees into the shape of a pyramid in 45m high and a base of 14 x 14 meters and a net weight of 30 tons. The Christmas tree consists of 1,700 pine trees (firs) and carries 13,000 small lamps. It was sad that we didn't make up to stay there till night. We didn't saw how the lights were but I just viewed some pictures from the city's website.

I was scouting for gifts for men when I saw mens titanium watches which are also great ideas for gifts. Anyway, I already bought the wish give of my niece and I hope he will like. This holiday is very much different from other Christmases we have since for the first time my whole family is complete. So we are all excited and I tried to grant the little wishes of my nieces and nephews. I hope every one of us will have a great and blessed holiday celebrations.

I plan to buy a new mattress next year and according to my research foambymail latex mattresses are great. I also want to renovate my bedroom this time and make my wishes come true. I want a relaxing corner in the room where I can read and it's a nook for me and myself only. The wall papers will also have a new look and colors. The curtains will be in light tone and the bed sheets will have a color match with the color of the room. My home office corner will be at its corner and I still have the big space at the center of the room. I can’t wait this project of mine to start with and I’m very excited for the outcome.

This holiday season, shopping is fun because there are a lot of sales and discounted items. I like to buy a pair of earings for the pendant I received as a gift from my birthday. Tomorrow is my day off and I want to go and canvass first for sale earings and do also my christmas shopping I did not yet complete it. And on sunday I can finalized everything including the dinner I will host on the eve of Christmas.

My sister was kidding me the last time we talked on the phone about our family reunion this holiday. She wanted to have the best weight loss pill in order that she will enjoy the feastings. I told her this is her only chance and it's just only once in her lifetime so why not refuse it lol. Anyway, the preparation for the family affair was already plan and the preparations just started. I am excited with it since all of my siblings are coming home including my nieces and nephews. My parents will be delighted about this and all of us will have a different holiday this year.

I visited my aunt last week at the hospital since she was confine for just a mild illness. She was already fine and waiting for her disposal. The weather was great and so I help her to get down on her bed with the medical step stool and we went walking at the park. The hospital park was very convenient for patients and I think it helps them a lot in their fast recovery. Yesterday, she went home and I hope she will get a lot better.

When it’s Christmas in here, feast are celebrated all over from family, church, work, clubs and schools festivals. Each organizes their Christmas party with dancing, eating and playing some games with lots of prizes to be won too. This year our club is planning to have a family Christmas party. We will have also some team uniforms courtesy from one of the members who works in Nihon Superior product company. I’m excited at the same time nervous because I was chosen to prepare two menus. I hope I can prepare well, cook well and taste good too. Wish me luck!

Shopping for christmas holiday is fun as well as stressful when we can not find the perfect gift for our love ones. Because giving gifts is a sign to express how much we care and love them. Last weekend I did some cleaning and accidentally I broke one of the side lampshade. So after doing my chores I went to buy for a replacement. At the shop I saw my brother in law who was also buying Christmas lights. That reminded me that I have still another to do list that I forgot. That is bringing out the christmas decorations. I thought to do the next day since hubby has a day off and he can help me.

Photography is my favorite hobby nowadays,it all started when I owned a five mega pixel camera and attracted to capture the landscapes and the four seasons. Since a lot of different digital cameras in the market nowadays, I want to change my old one to a better one. Weekend in Belgium

When all are busy partying last weekend, we escaped the wilderness lol! We drove along the borders of Belgium to spend our weekends with the fishes. We visited an aquarium along the river meuse. Inside the hall taking pictures is allowed but no flash. I got no good shots in spite my eagerness to shot those big fishes, sharks and even frogs so I ended up taking videos.

We had also fun time to explore the city sights like the small town having a 373 stairway steps .we didn’t attempt to climb instead we drove up the city to have a grasp of the fascinating overview of the town. On our way home we drop by at their big supermarket. What a weekend that was.

My sister plans to buy a new smartphone and she is choosing between three phones that includes Motorola Atrix 4G. If I were she, I just prefer a mobile with camera and internet and that I can spend only a few amount of money.

I hope she can make a good decision soon and buy the phone she really wanted since she saved for it. I admired her since she really saves for the things she wanted. I wish I am like here too who knows how to save. I will try to start saving now.

Last Thursday, my sister used my laptop in the office because she needed to transfer some files from her office computer. She will be borrowing my laptop for a weekend business trip.

Anyway, something happened after that. Friday night, I was using my laptop as I was surfing the internet, visiting blogs and while cleaning up unused and unwanted files on my disk, because my sister requested a larger disk space. Also, we (with my sister) were chatting and laughing, because she was telling me a funny story she experienced that morning, while she was packing her bags for her business trip.

Then I didn’t really know what happened because I have deleted those mp3 files. I was more upset because I could not find them in the recycle bin. Maybe, I accidentally emptied my bin. Good thing, my sister installed a software that I easily recovered my deleted files
