These are so intricately linked to each other that any adversity in one aspect affects the two others too. Thus, the whole life of the person may get jeopardized for a deficiency in one sphere of his/her life. Such a thing happens because persons don’t raise partitions in between these three aspects of life and let them intermingle with each other. This intermingling is a natural process while raising the partitions in between has to be arranged artificially.

What is Partitioning

A person lives three principal lives, or plays three roles, simultaneously, that of the person him/herself, that of member of his/her family, and that of a professional. In the first role, his/her main concern is of keeping good health – physically and mentally, in the second role, his/her concern remains togetherness, care and share of pleasures and pains in between family members, while the third role is the source of livelihood. In all these roles, the person finds much-needed reliefs of different kinds. Any role becoming problematic not only creates problem of that particular role but creates an imbalance in the person’s life, creating problems for the person to play other roles too. For example, a person feeling unhealthy can neither take good care of his/her family nor attend to his/her professional duties.

Partitioning of the three roles ensures that a problem on one account does not affect the other accounts. For example, a minor personal health problem if not shared with the family and the professional colleagues but dealt with effectively, may disappear soon without creating worries in the family and without much affecting his/her professional duties. Similarly, a professional problem if not carried to home, the person’s pleasures at home remain unaffected and thereby his/her health too remains normal.

For a partition, don’t inter-mix the three things but deal with each as a separate subject. When alone, think of own health and well-being, when with family, talk about family matters only, and when on professional duty, talk nothing but the work only. I understand that a total isolation of the three roles is impossible to achieve, but an effort to have it to the maximum extent is worth trying.

Dimensions of Partitioning

The partition we are discussing about has three dimensions – time, space and social contacts. Having different timings reserved for the self, family and the profession is the first step towards partitioning. Keeping a room generally reserved for the self helps in isolating the self from the family, and having separate spaces for the family and performing professional duties is always desirable. The third dimension of social contacts is highly complicated and none can afford to have totally exclusive contacts for the self, family and the profession. These contacts often become common. A great mistake, professional colleagues often commit is discussing family matters in office and official matters at homes. What is meant by social partitioning is taking care of this – when at home, talk of family matters only and when at office don’t talk about family matters but official matters only.

Why Partitioning

Why do I suggest here to be artificial instead of being natural, as I often suggest through my writings and also preached by many learned persons? It is because we are no more leading natural lifestyles of wandering in jungles but have come up far away to be called civilized and socially organized. For this reason, I or anybody else never advises to go back to the jungle life of our primate form. We need to tune up with what we are and where we stand today. In this tuning, I suggest to artificially raise partitions in personal, family and professional lives of ours, with reasons of that I am going to discuss here.

If there is no adversity in any of these three aspects of life, all the three support each other through intermingling making the intermingling desirable. Conversely, if any one aspect becomes problematic for some reason, the intermingling of the three proves detrimental to others two also, blocking any possibility for the person to have some succor from any side. This succor to the person from any side helps him/her to overcome problems in other fields too. So, it is the succor to the person that plays a positive role in the person’s life, and for this, raising partitions becomes desirable.

It is often found that professionally successful persons often fail in having good family relationships, a person careful about the self is disliked by his/her family or professional colleagues. Such things make it difficult for a person to keep balanced fulfillment in all the three aspects of life. Somewhere, someone aspect goes weak as compared to others. In case the three aspects are inter-mixed, any deficit on one account shall immediately be reflected on the other two aspects of life creating disorder in the life. Under such a situation, the person finds no place to relieve him/herself intensifying the problems.

Fatty substances with maximum possible Carbon and Hydrogen atoms in their molecular structures are saturated fats. Conversely, molecular structures of unsaturated fats have less than their maximum possible number of Carbon and Hydrogen structures. This saturation of Carbon and Hydrogen atoms make the saturated fats to get solidified at room temperatures. When such fats are eaten as food, these tend to get solidified in blood vessels of the person, thus, restricting normal flow of blood through the blood vessels. This is supposed to cause disorders of high blood pressure and cardiac arrests. Modern medical practitioners recommend minimum use of saturated fats in foods.

Fatty substances derived from animal bodies are mostly of saturated type while those from vegetation have a major component of unsaturated fats. Even major vegetable oils considered to be health-boosters have saturated component in them varying from 5 to 15 percent. Therefore, consumption of saturated fats as a food ingredient by humans can’t be avoided in totality.

Animal beef, containing saturated fats, has been a food of humans since prehistoric times. Even vegetarians have been using milk and its derivates, containing saturated fat, as an important food item for fulfilling body’s requirement of fats.

In the second instance of saturated fat consumption, Asian countries have a tradition of deriving ghee - a pure animal saturated fat, in their homes and using it as the principal source of gaining good health of body and mind. Mothers - particularly after childbirth, and students are still fed with diet enriched with ghee. A popular saying of India, “maans khaaye maans badhe, ghee khaye khopada” that means – ‘those eating meat, get more flesh in their respective bodies, whereas eating ghee causes development of brain’. Indian system medical practitioners recommend ghee for sharpening memory. However, the tradition has taken a back seat and ghee production and consumption is gradually becoming a thing of the past.

Vegetable oils have a short shelf life. To enhance it, an industrial process - called hydrogenation, is still being used that converts vegetable oils into saturated fat to solidify at room temperatures. This is popularly known as vegetable ghee and many such industrial plants are still working in India, however, with decreasing production.

All this proves that humans have been preferring saturated fats over unsaturated fats available to them as their food ingredient to get fat for body’s requirement and improve palatability of food. I am not aware whether any researches were done on this matter before such practices of using saturated fats became traditions. The modern trend of avoiding saturated fats is picking up fast with exception of milk and its modern derivatives such as cheese, butter, etc.

The Cause of Defamation of Saturated Fats

With the scientific and industrial progress all over the world to various degrees, major processes have been mechanized leaving little or no scope for physical activities by humans in their routine lifestyles. The west now talks of ‘exercising’ only as the only possibility of physical activity. Even the simplest methods of walking and bicycling to workplaces are conveniently forgotten. This has ushered into anatomical changes in the human body weakening its digestion capability, breathing depth and force of blood circulation through the blood vessels. Rich foods containing saturated fats derived from animals have become not only difficult to get digested but also detrimental to human health through restricting blood circulation. Thus, the principal cause of case against saturated fats is not the characteristics of fats themselves but failure of human community to remain active enough to stay healthy. Two options are available now – restrict on rich foods, or improve upon physical activities in routine lifestyle. The first option is going to further weaken the body anatomically to invite more diseases - not yet imagined, and the second option paves way for better human health.

How amazing? A passive thing remaining as it have always been and favored in the past by a vast humanity is blamed now just because the humans have derailed themselves from the track of gaining good health through physical activities in their routine lives.

Genesis and Fate of SOPA/PIPA Battle

Capitalists have been ruling not only the planet Earth but its space too, for a pretty long time since the modernity entered human minds. They have been playing the game, called business, as they think fit to maximize their profits with all sorts of exploitations of common people and inhumane practices called their business strategies.

To support my above said view, I would just give two examples on how the capitalism is driving humanity away from very basic humane traits which we choose to get civilized. These two traits are ‘cooperation’ with and ‘non-exploitation’ of others in endeavors of any individual. The capitalists, now, preach instead ‘competition for progress’ and ‘exploitation of opportunities’ to maximize their profits. In the above phrases, the ‘progress’ is their own while the ‘opportunities’ are compulsions of other people.

The Genesis

With the advent of Internet and its availability to common people, a new type of business enterprising evolved called ‘collaborative enterprising’ with opportunities open for all to participate even without any capital investment in the enterprise. Wikipedia, Google, Wordpress, etc are few leading names of a huge list of those seeding the spirit of collaborative enterprising. With this type of enterprising, now anybody sitting in his/her own home may contribute his/her might to this type of enterprising through using his/her fingers on the keyboard of his/her computer, as and when he/she wishes with gains proportionate to his/her strategic involvement in the enterprising. Home-bound women, with responsibilities of taking care of their respective families, are participating in this enterprising in a big way, apart from retired professionals. For example, with my involvement of a few hours of my free time, I earn a few dollars every month without any investment and through use of my fingers only.

This collaborative enterprising becomes an ocean with minute drops of contributions from millions of individuals from all over the globe, and surely a challenge to the capitalistic empires of the world. These capitalists with a fear in their minds, got united and lobbied to bring a legislation to block the free participation of people in this collaborative enterprising using Internet services. Free expression of public opinion and free participation in collaborative enterprising go against capitalistic interests, hence, they are determined to block it. The SOPA/PIPA legislations are aimed at this blockade.

The Fate

There is a popular saying in rural India, “Nobody can’t fight the society and the God”. I know with certainty that no God exists else there would not have been anything like capitalism, but I can very much realize and visualize the power of the society as an undefeatable force. The world history witnesses whenever and wherever the people have risen against tyrannical forces, they have won. Capitalistic business empires all over the globe are no less tyrannical than Emperors of the past who used to keep thousands of women in their harems as status symbols.
The victory of the people and their collaborative enterprising is the certain outcome of the current SOPA/PIPA battle. Similar battles are on in various countries, including India, where freedom of collaborative enterprising and that of expression are being challenged in corridors of power.

What does a Woman wants from her Man

So, here I concentrate on what each of us can do and how.

Have a Purpose

Human psychology is not to move an inch without a purpose but it seems a lot of those in human form move without any purpose of their own. They are so terrified with divine fears in their minds that they follow anybody promising them a resurrection from the terror. Let this terror go away from your mind, and have a purpose of life of your own. Such a purpose is often made of pieces diversified spatially as well as temporally. So, you need to have a purpose in your mind wherever you are and whatever time it is of the day. Mind it, even taking rest after a hard work is an important purpose of life to get rejuvenated for the next bout of performance.

You are Never too Old but More Experienced

Age certainly has a telling effect on your body making you incapable physically what you could do easily during your childhood or youthfulness. Simultaneously with this, realize that age has made you more intellectually matured through experiences, and now you can do many things so easily with your intellect what you could never do physically. Thus, the physical deficiency is over-compensated by your experiences and hence you gain as you age. For this, you need to be just healthy to keep your vitality intact.

The formula for activities on a age-graph is that with advancements in age, go on reducing your physical activities with proportional increments in intellectual activities.

Begin with Small Things

Have patience, confidence and continuity of efforts to achieve big goals through small steps.

Second thing to realize is that the world is not limited to one life-time but a sequence of lives sequenced with genetic information passed from one generation to another. So, with whatever constructive you do – big or small, you are making an imprint on the canvass of time and space for the later generations to follow up for making an ever-better world. You always live in this world through the genetic information you transmit to your next generation through your thoughts, words and actions.

Be a Master

Incidentally, humanity recognizes on its past masters. So, to live in this world past your lifetime, you need to be a master of subject of your choice whose number has always been unlimited from educating a child, to innovating on stick for an old-man. Discover what you love to do, and do it with all your faculties being put to use – the only way to become a master and leave an imprint for the next generations.

Every person has some or other, one or more talent, to develop and become master of through a craze for it. It may be some field of creativity, productivity or even just your involvement in anything beyond normal imaginations.

Learn from Others

Each of us grows his/her knowledge and expertise through taking advantages of experiences of past generations and also of contemporaries. In the continuum of the world, there is no need to learn and begin from a scratch. Pick up the chain where others have brought it to and proceed on to add some imprints on the chain from your side for others to pursue. This is the essence of getting and imparting education through generations.

Don’t Die for Anything but Live for Something

Eastern spiritualists have unfortunately been reminding the humanity of eventual deaths and that is a very sad application of human intellect. This reminder puts psyche of a person to peril, hence, need be abandoned from human mind. What is eventual why to worry about that when we have a much better thing to live with, and that is life. Even if you die in your struggle for living, you make an imprint of life, thus live for ever. Can a soldier stop fighting for his/her life on the nation’s border seeing his/her eventual death some day, and surrender to the enemies forces. Heroes never die while cowards never live.

(Miss)Deeds to Misdeeds of Maya

The word 'Maya' is used in three connotations from ancient to the present day politics of India. I would just touch all these three aspects of maya, here in this post.

1. Maya in Scriptures

Ancient Indian scriptures have many references of 'maya' and there its meaning is a 'girl'. Even in modern Bengali language which is very close to Vedic Sanskrut, a girl is called a 'meya', a derivation from 'maya'. In these references in scriptures, importance of women in the human society as the mother of the living creation is shown for saving its honor and respectability.

2. Maya in modern Religious/Spiritual references

Indian religious and spiritual preachers have all the bad things to say about maya, with the word being used for worldly pleasures and things including women, while they preach to the people for getting free from these worldly attachments without themselves being free from these. They want to have all the worldly pleasures for themselves for which they want people to keep away from these. Still, the basic fact remains that we are worldly creatures and are here to be part of worldly things and enjoy everything worldly around us.

3. Maya of modern Indian Politics

In the state I live in India, Uttar Pradesh, am unmarried woman named Mayavati is the fourth time Chief Minister of the state for her dirtiest tactical moves in the dirty politics of the country. She belongs to a community which had been mistreated as untouchable by Brahmins of India for the last 2,000 years or so. The community has very little wealth in its possession, used to work hard for survival, but is huge in number of heads with each couple producing half dozen children on an average. This gives them an advantage in democratic politics of the country. They vote enbloc for anybody belonging to their community irrespective of merit. Mayavati is their present heroine who is defamed for putting her own statues all over the state misusing public trust and money. She wins the elections by allying with the community of Brahmins, their torturers of the immediate past. In politics, they say, there are no permanent friends or foes - all are marriages of conveniences of immediate nature,

Impact of politics of Mayavati has many ill effects on Indian society -

Members of her community don't work any more but keep on looking for government funds for their survival under various social welfare schemes, all dedicated to this community itself with directions to administration from the government.

There are draconian laws favoring the community and against all other communities for providing legal and administrative protections to the community. This is detrimental to the society as the particular community is misusing law and the democratic norms of forming the government.

Huge public funds are being put to misuse by the government in erecting statues of Mayavati, her election symbol elephant and other past leaders of the community in public places all over the state while people of the state keep on suffering for basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, roads, irrigation facilities, etc. Industrialization process has come to standstill stage with rising unemployment in the state.

Corruption is open in all the government offices with officials demanding bribes from people reaching them for administrative helps in solving their problems. Undoubtedly, Uttar Pradesh under rule of this Dalit woman is the worst governed state of India.

Thus, modern form of Maya in politics of India is true to her form as in modern religious and spiritual references.

It is a Women's World, We are Living in, Today

Discipline is a self-imposed restrain on oneself chosen by humanity when it decided to stay put at fixed places along water streams about 2,500 years back in socially cohesive groups. Without this restrain, humanity is as wild as wild animals who believe in snatching things from others for gaining individually. Even in those days, many races chose to remain wild and wandering and depending on snatching from others whenever and howsoever possible. Might was the only right for them. As compared to these wild races, those who decided to settle down were less violent and believed in thinking in terms of morality before every action of theirs. This tendency of intellectualism made them physically weaker than those of the wild races. The latter used to take advantage of it in looting whatever the former used to accumulate for their lean periods. This trend continues even today to a lesser extent than that in those days.

Discipline is respecting rights of other persons just like those of the self, thus discipline has a social angle in all its considerations and implementations. For this reason, discipline is also termed as social-discipline. It guides a person on how to move with others without arousing mutual dis-pleasures or disharmony. For this, all others are put in two classes - those considered to be on the right path in their conducts and those with illicit conducts. The social discipline covers both the classes to deal harmoniously with those on the right path, and to oppose those with nefarious dealings. This requires the person to be judicious about others and to have courage to oppose the culprits. Since this courage is lacking in most of the persons, the present social norm has been to keep off with those with doubtful conducts. This has encouraged the evil-doers to go on moving on their misconducts without any check by the society itself.

Social discipline puts the responsibility of keeping the whole society on the right track on shoulders of each adult person for doing his/her best in three prong strategy -

To be on the right moral path by him/herself,

To oppose all those not on the right path in order to bring them back on the right path, and

To guide the children - as future citizens under formation, to get the right education, training and inspiration.

These duties are designed for taking care that the human society shall always be on the right path in its march of civilization against time. Let us do so.

Article Writing Guidance from Ancient Scriptures

Since 1993, I have been working on a Desk-top Computer, but yesterday i decided a Laptop Computer for myself. Is it my decision due me having a free will, or it is some thing else but looking like my free-will to do things in my own way?

True, I was not asked by anyone to buy a Laptop or was compelled by my circumstances to do that. I decided on it myself without any external interference. I could have decided to spend the money I have to buy some thing else also, indicating thereby that I have a free-will to do things as I like. Let me now point out the details of my decision more minutely than just what appears to be.

Factors that prompted me to the decision are enumerated below -

Recently, I sold out a manuscript for a lump-sum payment enough to buy the laptop computer,

I have no pressing demands on myself to use the money I got,

In recent years, I have become more mobile, and feel incapable away from my desk-top computer,

The old computer I have often breakdowns due voltage surges and I get stuck up with work in hand,

My four children and a number of friends have lap-top computers and I find them more satisfied with their possessions than myself,

The publisher that paid me for the manuscript, asked me write a voluminous book for them to publish. On doing the manuscript, I would be more comfortable with my financial position, so I wish to do that fast and in that laptop computer shall be highly useful.

... ... .... and so on.

From the above, it becomes clear that my decision has not come from my free-will but from many other factors like my circumstances, my desires, my society, my needs, .... and so on.

On further insight into the subject, I find that our minds always remain pre-programmed in specific ways by our backgrounds, present circumstances and future aspirations, and every time we make choices, looking like our respective free-wills, these are under heavily influenced by these pre-programs, indicating thereby that we have no free-will as a creature of this world.

We all are often said to be slave of our circumstances, and that is true to a great extent, in-spite of the fact that some of us, to varying degrees, make their own circumstances. In rural India, there is a popular saying, "No body can afford to go against God and the society". This may not be true literally, particularly for an atheist like me, but has an essence.

It is also true that results of our past actions determine our present and this, in turn, determine our future plans. We keep on following this chain of causes-and-effects on our way from past to the future, all the time of our life. If that were not so, we would have been doing the same thing throughout our lifetimes. We differ individually, spatially as well as temporally just because we don't have our own free-wills.

Judging your Actions in Advance
