However, as it brings considerable peace of mind it is always a worthwhile expense in the household bills. But if you are thinking of obtaining or renewing your home insurance, how can you save money on your insurance?

The best tip to save money on your insurance is to always shop around. By taking the time to search different providers and compare their policies you do stand the best chance of getting a good deal. Also, take personal preferences from friends or family of companies that have been good in the past, after all, even at a cheap price, you will want a service that is effective.

By raising the amount you will pay as an excess you also can secure a lower premium. Essentially the excess is the amount of money you will have to pay in the event of a claim before your provider chips in. Typically a higher excess will result in you saving a percentage on your monthly or annual premium. Naturally this means you have to hold back some of your funds to ensure you can afford repairs if something does happen to your home.

A great way to save money on your household insurance is to buy multiple policies from the same provider. This is not to say that you have to cover the same house twice but if you have a car you can obtain your car insurance from the same insurance provider as your household, in many cases they will give some form of discount.

When you are looking to buy a home it is always important to consider the insurance costs. For instance, if you are planning to buy that lovely chocolate box cottage, consider that the age of the house makes it a more daunting and subsequently expensive proposition for insurers. Contrastingly, if you instead buy a newer home, there is less chance of items like boilers and electrics going wrong, usually leading to cheaper premiums.

In a similar vein, when you are buying your home considering where the home is located should also be factored in. Understandably a house on a normal estate is not likely to incur any penalties from the insurance provider, however, if you move to flood plain, the risk of flooding is increased and hence your premiums will be higher. As always; bearing in mind a range of factors when buying your home is the sensible option.

This article has hoped to set out some of the ways in which it is possible to pick up cheap home insurance and also how it is possible to make premiums cheaper by shopping around and choosing carefully where you may move to.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Horace_Tait

Sadly, many of the policies out there for this class of drivers are expensive. It is almost a norm for many insurance providers to offer their services to young drivers at a high rate; this is so because they are considered "high risk" customers. So, if you are young and you own, and drive a car, below are ways that will help you find your best policy at an affordable rate from a reliable insurer; this combination actually serves you best.

For your best policy, make a good study of your car. Is your car a sedan, 2 doors, 4 doors or an SUV? Depending on the make and model of your car, the year it was manufactured, if its still brand new or if it is fairly used, you may find varying coverage options and prices. However, what determines if you are having the best protection is the quality of the insurance optimally targeted to your car type and insurance need. Do not compromise on this when researching the insurers to buy your policy from.

To get cheaper rates for the same coverage, use online comparison websites. Get free quotes on car insurance for young drivers and compare. Make sure you get as many free quotes as needed for you to have an excellent study. The more you have to study using quotes comparison, the better the chances that you will find a cheaper rate at the end of the day. Also, since you are sourcing these quotes from different insurance providers, chances are high that you will find the best insurer in your state. Start now and save!

Where To Start?

Here Are My Favorites: Young-Drivers Car Insurance / Affordable Auto Insurance

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Iyke_Phelim

If you had an ounce of imagination you were given free-reign to take that creativity and make something special. Those were the days when the piece itself held the power in marketing.
It used to be that the focus for a marketing campaign was fairly cut and dried. You either marketed directly to a male or a female. Granted looking back now on some of these ads we might wonder what the heck the marketer was thinking when he designed a campaign to begin with! They did however make an impression.
Previously a direct marketer only needed to devise an ad and then find a simple slogan or jingle that coincided with the graphics and copy. Bingo, companies were noticed and products were sold. Today that creativity is being stalled by the mechanics of marketing. No longer can a designer fly by the seat of their pants and create something significant without looking at analytics and metrics first.

SEO, PPC, ROI, B2B, B2C, PPL, SEP... Marketers now have an alphabet soup of mechanics to be aware of before they attempt putting pen to paper (or keyboard to computer). Creativity is now relegated to not only grabbing the attention of the public but to making sure every graphic works in multiple venues and every copy-written phrase is checked for keyword strength. Let us not forget that after all that, the campaign will be changed multiple times as it is tested again and again, looking for the strongest optimization before final launch.
Excuse me a moment while I react to all of that.
ARGH!

Google has given us many spectacular technological ideas. By being able to "rank" a website, drench the internet with banner ads and the ability to analyze website visitors to the nth degree, business owners are more informed about the results of viral marketing than ever before.
Clever software developers decided that it was not enough to only analyze web based marketing. Every day more and more technicians are devising software that tracks and analyzes emails, television ads, radio spots, direct mail pieces, subscriptions... The list goes on and on.
What I want to know is what happened to the creativity?
Reading an article online titled "Grab On Tight and Enjoy The Ride" sounds much more interesting than one titled "7 Ways to Increase Website ROI". Personally there comes a time when seeing a number in a title becomes off putting. Enough already! If a direct marketer employs titling that is unique but does not reference the keywords of the article needed for ranking purposes, then forget about being found through any common browser.
When it comes to inventiveness, today copywriters are the ones being creative in the direct marketing movement. Thanks to pay versus organic ranking strategies finding a two word phrase that depicts the idea of a campaign is easier said than done. Marketers are now in the position to construct three and four word phrases instead. Before long it will be five and six words as optimization keywords over-saturate the viral world.
Where does it all end? Will direct marketers ever again be allowed to let their imagination flourish? Is it possible that direct marketing campaigns shall once again be based upon originality and intrigue? Or will scientific and mechanical instruction be embraced instead.

Grace O'Malley is the voice of Precision Analytics Group with 20 years of helping companies market their visions. It seems nearly everyone wants to tell you what to do or what not to do. If you're an up and coming Web writer, it can be hard to decipher all the many pieces of advice that are out there and determine what is really best for you. When it comes to writing for the Internet, learning keywords is going to be important.
SEO stands for search engine optimization and it refers to how content on the Internet is indexed by the search engines so that Web users can find it. For example, content optimized for the keyword phrase "cat grooming" would be ranked in the search engine among other sites or pages that are optimized for cat grooming.

For some writers, especially those new to the Internet, the concept of SEO in writing can be overwhelming. If you use your key phrases too much in one article, it can make it hard for the human reader to understand and it can also cause your article to be rejected by the publisher. However, if you do not use key phases at all in your writing, this will affect your ability to be seen online.
There is a bit of a fine line in SEO writing successfully. You want to use the keywords enough to get ranked well but not so much that it affects the comprehension of the article. You don't want to be seen as someone who is "keyword stuffing". It may sound like a tall task to be expected to please the readers, the publishers and the search engines all in one but it can be done. With more practice, it will even become easier and easier to do.
Here are some tips to making that happen:
· Make sure your title reflects what the article is about. Your title is a promise about what the reader will get when they click. Make sure you fulfill that promise.
· Use keywords in the title. But don't make the title your keyword phrase only. This is too short and will not give valuable information about what is in the article.
· Use your keyword phrase about once every 100 words, as a general rule. So a 400-word article will contain your main keyword phrase about 4 times.
These are just some beginner tips on using keywords in SEO article writing but they are valuable tips to get you started. As you progress in your Internet writing, continue to learn more and more about SEO writing and using keywords in your articles. Experiment with different techniques so that you can see which ones work best for you.

       About the Author:
Sites, and Microsoft Sites. Recently however, both Yahoo! and Microsoft have experienced respectable search market gains; in the United States. Perhaps this can be attributed to the introduction of new website navigation, and the 10-year deal (between Yahoo! and Microsoft) announced in July 2009; that sees Bing eventually powering Yahoo! Search.
Regardless, as the search marketplace evolves, it is very important to be aware of the major search engine players; and the influence they have on consumer search. Here is a current (April 2010) description of the most influential search providers:

Google
Originally developed in 1997 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google is the most-used search engine on the Internet; with 64.4 percent (10 billion) of the searches conducted. Google utilizes a unique system that analyzed the relationships between websites; called PageRank. This technology determines website relevance, based on the number of pages that link to the original site; and also the importance of those linked pages.
Google's mission statement from the beginning has been "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful". The company's popular and unofficial slogan (introduced by Google engineer Paul Buchheit) is "Don't be evil."
Yahoo!
Yahoo! Search began as a web directory of other websites, organized in a hierarchy, as opposed to a searchable index of pages. Throughout its evolution, Yahoo has partnered with a number of companies, including Google; to help it achieve it's search engine goals. In July 2009, Microsoft and Yahoo! announced a deal, in which Bing would begin to use it's technology to power Yahoo! Search. As well, Yahoo! will have the right to sell advertisements on some Microsoft sites. Although it may seem that Yahoo! has been struggling, the number two search engine has seen it's U.S. market-share increase; to 17.7 percent (2.8 billion) of searched conducted.
To service search clients in international marketplaces, the Yahoo! Search interface is available in a variety of languages, and found in (at least) 38 international marketplaces. Yahoo! has a mentionable presence in Europe, Asia and across emerging marketplaces.
Bing (Microsoft)
Bing, formerly known as Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search; is the current web search engine solution from Microsoft. Advertised as a "decision engine", Bing is the number 3 search engine; with 11.8 percent of the search market-share.
In July 2009, Microsoft and Yahoo! announced that they had negotiated a ten (10) year deal, which will replace the Yahoo! search engine with Microsoft's search technology; Bing. Yahoo! will retain 88% of revenues from all search ad sales on its website, for the first five years of the deal. Yahoo! Search will maintain its own user interface and brand, however, it will eventually be complimented by the "Powered by Bing" branding; as well.
Bing is available in many languages and has been localized for many countries.
Ask
Ask.com was originally known as Ask Jeeves. Affectionately named after "Jeeves", the name of the "gentleman's personal gentleman", or valet; fetching answers to all questions asked. The Ask Jeeves concept was adapted to encourage users to seek answers to questions posed in everyday, natural language; as well as traditional keyword searching. The current Ask.com still supports this approach, however it has introduced added support for math, dictionary, and conversion questions.
Ask uses different websites offering localized services for many countries, outside of North America; including: France, United Kingdom (Ask Jeeves), Germany, Spain, Italy and Russia. Holding steady as the number four search engine, Ask has retained 3.7 percent of the U.S. search market-share.
When scheduling your SEO duties, take consideration of each search engine's market-share; and influence. Google is seen as the number one search engine, but still retains less than 65% of Internet searches. With the new implementation of Microsoft (Bing) technology at Yahoo!, their market-share influence rises to 29.5 percent. This figure is half of Google's total search percentage, however it still represents (approximately) 30 percent; or one in three search clients.

Kristoffer Howes is TWMG's CEO, Corporate SEO Team Leader and veteran Search Consultant. This is a technical process webmasters do to web pages for an entire website to gain online traffic. With the explosion of the World Wide Web, it is now harder than ever to advertise for your website through conventional means, which is why the value of SEO has only increased as the amount of websites has increased. The main difference between successful websites and thus that receive little traffic and eventually fail is the SEO marketing tools that are utilized and how they are utilized. One great way to drive free traffic to your website is article submission, but in order for it to work you need to adhere to the following three tips.

Keep it unique -:

In the same way that there are millions of websites out there on the internet, there are also millions of article submissions all attempting to attract traffic to first the articles and then to the websites. Thus, in order to actually draw attention into your submissions, you need to make them unique and tailored to your target audience. Oftentimes exploring a tiny focused area within your main subject topic that has not yet been widely discussed is the best way to attract attention.

Submit carefully -:

Once an article submission is complete, it can be tempting to want to post it throughout the web, however this will only lead to failure given the fact that many so-called directories are a waste of time that will only bring down your website with poor backlinks. Instead, maximize your exposure by only submitting articles to the top directories such as articblesbase.com, ezines.com, and other leading websites.

Don't pay -:

One of the best ways to determine if an article submission website is trustworthy, is if they force you to pay to submit a submission. While you may decide to outsource the writing of your articles to a third party, you should never have to pay in order to post them. If you are told that a fee is required, it is best to steer clear of this directory as they will only take your money and you will never see the free traffic you were promised.

SKG Technologies provide professional Article Submission Service that aids enterprises, small businesses, and nonprofits rise to the top of their industries. Here are some tips how you can increase your website rankings and get more targeted traffic.
Add Value First

Create a site with valuable content, products or services. If you don't give value to your own website why do you expect search engines to give value to it in first place? If you have a blog about "internet marketing" then your visitors would expect you to share your thoughts, ideas, ventures, success and failure stories or even to show them something they didn't know about.
If you have a website where you sell products, then tell your visitors why they need this product, what would their benefits be by using this product. That is what I mean with "add value" to your site and content, only then visitors will follow.
Do your homework, find the proper keywords you need to target
Research what keywords people use most often on search engines that pertain to your products or services. There are hundreds of people that fail with their online business because they have weak internet marketing knowledge (and even weaker SEO knowledge). If you have a pizza restaurant in New York, you would not want to try target keywords like: pizza or your restaurants name. Instead try to target a keyword that has search volume and has to do with your business, just as an idea would be: Best Pizza Place in New York or Pizza Restaurant in New York following by your restaurants name.
Engage your visitors (or other people that share the same interests as you)
Engaging with visitors, i.e. leading them into leaving a comment into your posts, following and responding to their comments, creating a communication will make so that those visitors come back to your site. We are humans, and eager to have communication. Not only this will bring you regular visitors (subscribers to your RSS or newsletter) but you will most likely get your site linked from these same visitors websites when they mention a discussion or something you wrote about. Each and every inbound link gives more authority and more value to your site.
Prepare your website for search engines (but don't forget visitors too)
It is important that your websites layout is search engine friendly, but by paying too much attention to that happens that web design (or seo) companies forget about the web usability (at least small wanna-be internet marketers do this) and the value of an easy-to-use website where visitors can easily find their way through your site.
SEO wise, your website should have included your main keywords in the first heading of the site and this heading should be as close as possible to the body start. The menu should be textual based so search engine spider bots can follow those links and crawl your other pages. The content should be as close as possible to the start the body tag, and each page should have a rough of 1.5-1.7% keyword density for your targeted keywords. This tells the search engine what this site is about and for which words you should rank (warning: overusing keywords will lead to keyword stuffing for which your site might suffer a penalty).
Marketing your website the proper way
There are different ways how you could do internet marketing to your website, and each method might work for one site but not for another one. Lets take the pizza restaurant example once again. Your pizza restaurant is well known in your block in New York, but one block further perhaps nobody heard of it, tourists that visit new york will most likely make a research on internet where they can find the best places to eat something. Here are few ways how you can market your website online

Press releases - Your restaurant has been launched online just now. Perfect, let people know by publishing and spreading a press release about your restaurant. Where is located, what can guests expect from your restaurant etc...in simple words, pre-sell your services online already. But do not forget to link to your website from each press-release by using as anchor text the keywords for which you want to rank (assuming you have made your homework already). This will lead into more readers, and perhaps some big website will catch the story and link to your site.

Directory submission - Very old still, but still works. Having links from valuable directories such as DMOZ, Google directory, Yahoo directory etc increases authority of your website (with each gained link, your authority increases by just a bit).

2010 SEO Priorities
As we know, search engine optimization not only it depends from search engine to search engine, but often the same engines change their algorithm and the way how they give value to each and every site.
The 2010 SEO news keyword is: Website speed. And it completely makes sense, a website that is taking forever to load should not be ranking at all. What is the point of directing a visitor to a website that will never load? Try to create a website that is loading fast (serving your visitors as fast as possible with your content/services/products)>

Astrit also blogs over at SEO Optimization since 2007 and shares his seo tutorials so you could learn SEO too.

Article Source: http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Astrit_Kita

Top 5 SEO Experts Tips For 2010

The world of internet marketing and online advertising is so dynamic that it may change almost everyday. The change is not just limited to the content but to how the whole system operates. The rules, guidelines or tips that help you in cutting the competition and bringing out the best content to the world in the best possible manner can also change very rapidly. The only way your business can sustain and you can ensure consistent quality is by regularly keeping a track of these changes. This will help you in getting ahead in the race and ensure continual success.

Specifically, talking about the rules of SEO, one needs to keep track of how the search engines are evolving, which are the most commonly used search engines, and how to their algorithms for ranking the websites work. For example, Google which is considered the most famous and highly used search engine has a very extensive algorithm with almost 200 parameters for ranking any website. Moreover, this list is every evolving and parameters are continuously added to this list. As an SEO expert, its our job to keep track of these additions so that we don't lose any time in implementing them in our work.
Here are few very critical SEO tips that will help you in achieving success in 2010.
• Site speed: This factor was more of a usage feature till now as it mostly affected only the users in terms of usability and convenience of the users, but never really had any influence on the ranking of a website in a search engine's search results. However, with Google introducing site-speed as one of the new parameters in its ranking algorithm, it is going to become aspect to look at while deciding any SEO strategy for the future.
• Link Validation: Link validation may not be a listed parameter in the list of rank determining parameters but it indirectly and very severely affects the ranking of a website in the search results of a search engine. This is based on a simple logic that if any link in the website is not working, a search engine spider bot will not be able to browse through the website completely and hence will be able to read the whole content.
• Genuine Content: Determination of genuineness of any content in terms of originality, usefulness and understandability may not be a straightforward task. There may be some parameters that may automatically determine the genuineness of content, but most of the determination will be performed indirectly such as by user interest and linking content.
• Managing Duplicate Content: Though it is always advisable to avoid duplicate content in you website, it may be unavoidable in some situations. You need to ensure that any duplicate content does not affect your search engine rankings negatively. One way of ensuring this is by redirecting between duplicate content.
• File Nomenclature: We already know about the importance of optimizing the titles and URLs of web pages. It is equally important to manage the names of the files that are being used in your web pages. This especially becomes important with more and more multimedia and other non-html files being used in website.

Quick Recap:
Despite a recession, search engine Optimization and internet marketing practices are still growing each year.
Experts predict that internet marketing activities in the US will have doubled from $13 billion dollars spent in 2009 to $26 billion by the year 2014.

With all that money pouring into Internet marketing efforts, how are organizations and companies choosing to allocate it? Multiple surveys have been conducted on where budgets for SEM are headed in the year 2010, and although they've turned out different results, one thing is clear-more businesses are putting in more money to get the SEO and SEM results they want.
In a survey conducted by WordStream:

68% of survey respondents say they intend to spend more on internet Marketing in 2010.

They intend to spend more for both SEO and PPC (in slight favor of SEO).

68% believe SEO is more essential to online growth then PPC.

Local Search is becoming more popular. Half the survey's respondents intend to spend more on local efforts and specific geo-targeting.

In another recent 2010 Marketing Trends survey conducted by Strong Mail, almost 90% of over 1,000 global business leaders disclosed plans to increase or maintain their current online media budgets in 2010. The areas they intended to spend the most on were social media marketing and email efforts, with search marketing and web promotions coming in at third. More traditional Marketing efforts, such as events, conferences, and direct mailing decreased.
69% of survey respondents responded that Social Media marketing is now a clear focus. The purpose of Social media is to build customer loyalty, expand the reach of the company, and encourage customer retention. Although many companies are integrating email and social media marketing, many are still looking for tools and strategies to track, measure, and monetize these services.
Goldstein and Hearst conducted a similar study, but found that although there is a shift from traditional marketing efforts to online tactics, it's less then anticipated and the recipe for successful long-term marketing has always been a balanced approach. However, social media and online video experienced growth and received increased spending, with search engine Optimization playing an important role as always. Similarly to the StrongMail study, trade shows and events are still essential to marketing efforts and social media is expected to continue growing, despite being allocated minimal budget. Aside from the problems associated with measuring social media success, social media takes a backseat to traditional search engine optimization because of SEO's proven long-term website success.
Here we see that Social Media and Online Video efforts, although receiving minimal budget are still increasing. Online advertising, Web Development, and internet Marketing are big players as expected, and trade show funding, print advertising, and direct mail and telemarketing efforts have decreased.
What is the gist of these marketing surveys? Although talk of Twitter, Facebook, and social media is everywhere, established online marketing efforts are still being given priority as they're measurable and deliver proven results. That doesn't mean you shouldn't explore Social Media and find out how it can benefit your company.
Maryland is a leader in our economy, notably in the fields of technology and science. Maryland websites receive greater online recognition with smart Maryland internet marketing and Online Marketing efforts. Maryland web promotions is essential for any solid Online Marketing plan-in order to develop online business success, Maryland web promotions drives websites to achieve optimal results and long-term success.
Maryland businesses learn more information about how your company can establish a valuable presence on the web by Maryland web promotion as well as a balanced approach to internet growth strategies in 2010.

Article Source: http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=E._Ronchetti

SEO Growth Rates on the Rise

Obituary: the once beloved yellow pages have passed away in 2010. Cause of death: Internet search engines. Gone the way of the buggy whip, the big yellow book has found nirvana in the afterlife as doorstops and recycled paper. Oh they may still print a few of the big books, but they're really just for Internet holdouts and people at phone booths in remote areas. In a related story, print advertising, also close to giving up the ghost is in the throes of death gurgles, although it may resuscitate with CPR and a niche role in the advertising world.

Given the untimely demise of the big book, people now find products and services through Internet search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. Using search engines is faster than clumsily flipping through those cumbersome yellow pages and getting black ink all over your fingertips. Search engines are also more effective in terms of finding gobs of useful information. And there's no junk mail to pile up and throw away.
And so enters the golden age of SEO, search engine optimization, the Holy Grail, the darling of the Internet marketing community! Like the mythical Phoenix of ancient Greek lore, SEO is rising from the ashes of the yellow pages and print advertising.
However SEO is not quite a household word yet. We did an informal survey and asked people if they knew what SEO is. Then we asked them if they know what Paris Hilton is. Guess who came out on top. 10-4, copy that. Even in 2010 I find myself frequently explaining what SEO is to people, but not what Paris Hilton is.
Oh yeah, they usually get the basic concept (of SEO that is, not Paris Hilton) when I explain it to them. "It gets your website to the top page of Google." Ok, that's great, but the real issue is when business owners still don't understand why it is important for their business. Google, schmoogle, why should I care?
I was recently was speaking with a startup business owner client about his advertising campaign. I had written the content for his website and was aware that he considered the website to be very important to his business because wisely he wanted his URL on all his print advertising. Now bear in mind that this business has no physical location.
He said that he wanted to mail out postcards and distribute flyers. I knew that he had a healthy advertising budget, and being a marketing guy, well naturally I recommended that we also start a search engine optimization campaign for his website. He understood what SEO is: "yeah, it makes people find your website". But online advertising (SEO) just wasn't important to him. It wasn't that he didn't have the budget, or didn't want to give the work to me. His mind was fixed on postcards and flyers. That's where his priority was.
Fine, no skin off of my back but let me get this out there right now. Putting up a website, but then not promoting it online is like opening a store, but then not hanging out a sign! No one will find your store or your website! Whew, I feel better! This is especially true for a virtual business that has no physical location like his.
Now this is an intelligent dude who owns other extremely successful businesses, all old-school. What boggled my mind is that he knew it was important to have a website, and he knew that you need to work to get people to go to your site, but he couldn't see the value of Internet marketing. I had seen this condition before: a debilitating malady that I call SEO mental block! After much perplexing I determined in myself to make it my life's mission to discover a cure for SEO mental block. I searched high and low, on search engines of course. Finally my quest proved fortuitous as I stumbled upon a discovery.
After trekking through the deepest, darkest jungles and across parched desert lands, (virtually of course), at last I found the cure for SEO mental block. And so I'm revealing it here gratis for the benefit of all humanity. We must remove the blockage by showing the victim that everybody is doing SEO. You see you can get anybody to do anything if you can just convince them that everybody is doing it and that they are going to miss out on those wondrous delights if they don't do it too.
You don't believe me? Ok, when you were a teenager and your mother told you that you couldn't do something, what did you say? Of course you said "everybody is doing it". It's the universal justifier. Not to be outdone, your mother countered quickly and decisively with the wisdom of the ages and profound logic that would make even Mr. Spock green with envy. She knew she had you when she said "if everybody was jumping off the bridge would you do it too?" But did that change your mind? Of course not! "Everybody is doing it" is the most potent reason for doing anything on earth, more powerful than wisdom or logic.
So in my dedication to rid the entire world of that insidious SEO mental block, below are a few statistics that you can use to free the minds of even the most stalwart print ad devotees and set them on the path to SEO enlightenment.
A recent survey of U.S. small business owners confirms that SEO and social media marketing are gaining acceptance. The FedEx Office Signs of the Times Small Business Survey polled 500 small business owners across the USA in early April. When asked how they plan to grow their businesses in 2010, social media was one of the few methods that gained when compared to the 2009 survey.
The survey shows that 36% of respondents listed social media in their plans for business growth in 2010, compared to 24% in 2009.
In another study by SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) Search marketing doubled from $5.8 billion in 2005 to $12.2 billion in 2007, and will double again to $25.2 billion in 2011.
Search engine marketing spending wildly exceeded projections in 2007 and, based on survey responses the search marketing industry will exhibit continued healthy growth.
A major finding is that search marketing spending is increasing at the expense of print magazine advertising, website development and other marketing functions, as marketers essentially shift the portions of their spending pie, following consumers as they increasingly rely on search engines to conduct pre-purchase research.
Here are some key findings:
· The North American search engine marketing industry grew from $9.4 billion in 2006 to $12.2 billion in 2007, exceeding earlier projections of $11.5 billion for 2007.
· North American SEM spending is now projected to grow to $25.2 billion in 2011, up significantly from the $18.6 billion forecast a year ago.
· Marketers are finding more search dollars by shifting budget from print magazine spending, website development, direct mail and other marketing programs to search engine optimization, Internet marketing, search marketing, etc.
· Paid placement captured 87.4% of 2007 spending; organic SEO, 10.5%; paid inclusion,.07%, and technology investment, 1.4%.
The survey showed a significant increase in North American search engine marketing spending projections from $18.6 billion to $25.2 billion. The drivers behind this higher estimate are advertiser demand, rising costs of keywords and pay-per-click campaigns, an increase in the number of small-to-midsized businesses using search engine marketing, greater consumer participation in search and increased interest in targeting, such as behavioral and demographic targeting of searchers.
So here's the good news, not only can people rid their minds of SEO mental block, they can likely be the first person on their block to get to the top page of Google! Bottom line, if you don't want to go the way of the buggy whip, then it's time to start seriously promoting your website online through natural, organic SEO and search engine marketing.

Article Source: http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=David_Omega
