I told my friend that leadership is all about commitment and vision. The first part of a skill that needs to be learned is how to have vision while the second part is about commitment. Commitment to yourself first, ( gain your self knowledge, know who you are, your strengths and weaknesses) second its commitment to your people, ( who are they how will they help, what makes them tick, what do you need to do?) and the third thing is to commit to your customer. (What type of services do your customers want, what do they need, how can you help them get what they want and how do you service them.)

So leadership is commitment to making sure that everything is in alignment with everything else. Customer service is a commitment to ensuring that you customers receive the best from your organization. In regards to your product is the cheapest, fastest, best, quality, fun, quality, experience that you can give them. For your staff its about giving them a place that they can call home, where they feel respected, wanted, where they can feel they can contribute, be part of team and have the same basic beliefs that you are committed to your products or services.

Commitment to communication includes the understanding, leading, painting the picture or developing a sense of vision for where the company is going, where the profits are coming from and where you want to be in regards to what is required for your company to be successful.

In my book I talk about over responding in regards to helping the world become a better place. By over responding you take everything that happens and just make it better.

Inside a corporate environment , its simple enough to understand that if you take everything and react to it immediately then there are no issues, no outstanding problems and most of all there are no real issues since its easy enough to do what it is to\ do to bring about the changes that will make a difference. All you need to do is to commit to doing something better, more efficient, more effective, more value, the overall more of something.

Leadership then starts with commitment. Commitment to quality, customers, staff, suppliers and partners. Once you chose this path, all of a sudden everything becomes easier and easier and more profits or growth can be generated and long term legacy programs can begin.

Getting What You Want from Life

Its pretty interesting, my wife is writing a new book called " Inspiration in Action, A Women's Guide to Happiness" which is coming out in the spring. As an inspiration for my book "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life" she has been a big player in supporting me and in making my life happy that's for sure.

Anyway, her book has a chapter in it that focuses in on gratitude. For the past few months she has been writing about it, talking about and teaching it in her " Inspiration in Action" courses that she teaches to women. So I have heard a lot about it and I have discussed it with her a lot.

When I started to write the book "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life", I was a less focused on the process for getting what it was you wanted and being grateful and more about integrity. I felt that once you were in integrity you could easily attract everything to you since you were clear about who you were and what you wanted and where it was you were going. I think however I was incorrect in that I was making it really too simple.

In Kathie's context, if you are grateful for what you already have; you already recognize that you have more than most people, just by being thankful and grateful for what you have no matter how small or large it is.

For example Louise Hay said at a recent " You Can Do It " event that she thanks her car everyday. That really resonated with me since I love cars and I am always looking at the next new one vrs thanking or thinking about the one I already have. Its really funny, because as soon I started to do that, thank my car, I realized the vehicle I am driving is really a great vehicle and realized that it had more features than what I even realized were on the car in the first place and that I took for granted.

The concept of being grateful is pretty powerful. It allows you to take stock that you already have a lot of things in your life and that the quest for more is really predicated on advertising and marketing and creating a want or fulfilling a need.

Being in that industry for the past thirty years, our key goal was to create either a need for fulfill a want. That by itself seems like a weird concept for some since advertising is about telling a story of things you should consider or purchase. For example, the new watch, car, clothing, shoes, lipstick, Kraft dinner, soup or fast food. Like if we did not tell you there was a Panini Sandwich at Tim Horton's, most people would not care. However we go out and spend a lot of money on advertising and all of a sudden you want a Panini sandwich even if you don't really know what it is, but you want one.

So gratitude takes away the need and the want. It says; I am already happy with what I have and I am thankful. It allows you to appreciate the simple things. The smell and taste of a good cup of coffee, a great band, a sunset, green grass, a sauna, warm soup on cold day, a cozy cat, warm socks or a hug from someone you love.

Getting what you want then is far simpler than the power of attraction or wishing for more of something. Once you become thankful or grateful it is through this appreciation of gratitude that you appreciate more of what you already have and that makes you open to receive. By being open to receive you get more of what you are already grateful for. A rule of thumb for example is that if you have loose change in some form of receptical in your bedroom, you have more money that 90% of the people on the planet today.

So gratitude is pretty unique concept in that, once you are thankful for what is already been acquired you actually want less and anything that shows up is a bonus, giving you a great deal of satisfaction.

This may seem like a simple concept, but like the little book the "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life", life is pretty simple. When you commit to over responding to life, and all the things that come into that life, you can be really pretty thankful.

I wanted to thank my wife this month for her Inspiration in Action program. The chapter on gratitude resonates with me and resonates with me even more now. I already have what I want, love, life, happeniess, health, wealth, water, thoughts and on and on and even having the ability to write these words in something called a blog and that makes me extremely happy. Thanks Kathie!

Connecting to the Source - Finding the God Within

Its been a while since I have written on my Ten Commitments blog and a lot of new amazing things are happening in my life. I have been reading Wayne Dyer's new book about getting your wishes fulfilled and I think that Wayne has something here.

A few years back after my walk in the desert of 8 years and the quest for self I read a book called " Initiation". It was a good book that focused in the the fact that humans had lost their way by attaching themselves to the earth plane and giving up their connection to the " source". It was quite a revelation for me since I was looking for a path to enlightenment and wondering how to get there. Part of what getting into integrity is all about is becoming totally who you are.

This definition usually starts with love. The fact that all humans are begins with love then its just up to us how we deal with love and these emotions. The fact that love is a simple thing that we are looking for is also a bit of challenge for most humans. You look for love and search for it, however giving it attracts it. What is crazy is that its the easiest thing for us to do. Give and get love, its in all of us. Now this love is connected to the source, the pure and powerful god source that helps us to develop and helps us grow. Our problem, like the bible says, that we are all addicted to the earth plane and all the elements it provides. Money, cars, homes, tangible things that are supposed to provide us with what we want. These material things are ego driven and therefore few come from a place of love.

In the book the "Ten Commitments to a Better Life" we talk about getting into and being integrity. If there is one thing we missed in this book is that when we do this we have the conduit to love. We can therefore be more open to experiences and to giving from the heart, because we know that is. We can also tell the world more about what we stand for. So if its love in your heart and the giving of love to others and the need to serve others then that's your integrity.

Wayne says that all of your wishes will be revealed just by starting with love as the basis of your mission and connecting to the source. I love that. Its a pretty simple process, just be you, connect to your creator 0r inner creator and give love. That's my new mission here on planet earth and I will start to cultivate that starting today.

Thoughts Become Things

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 73px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJBC1QEuXMyH5s-oDmtmMZdrILzyntnBTQXA6TxhEDOM2g2L04QUhLpbXup_hf7l49WYf5exp339C1xiCvREmkmfNW8-4zdDrNiRYw9fZAuPWTrGb4nCohweNi7NgXpoSsYmbNwqy5blgJ/s200/homeownerContent02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5623704062898500626" />
It has been said that what you think about expands and the you can attract what it is you want simply by being focused on what you want. This morning I was coaching a business client that was telling me that everytime she had money problems she lost faith in the universe.

I am not sure however that its the universe's fault if the money is running low. I think its most likely the fact that you have not told the universe what you are looking for and what it is you want with intention. I think that everytime you get lazy with your thoughts, the universe get lazy as well. It thinks, if its not important to you then its not important to me either.

I think you need to get yourself primed for success and that means being ready to play the game every day. When things drop off, thats when the universe says, hey this is not that important and then takes a rest as well. What do you expect? Do you think the universe is sitting there saying, if he is taking a break then I should continue to keep sending those good vibes, that business that he is looking for when I think all he is asking for is a break.

To be certain the universe follows your every thought. It says to you, what are you thinking about what do you want me to send you. I know some you think that should be a your soul mate an attractive man, women or new car, but it does not work like that. The universe picks up on your vibrations. It understands that you are in a high or low vibration and it decievers the the difference between positive and negative thoughts.

Therefore, negative thoughts produce negative vibrations and so on. Remember thoughts become things. Think good and productive thoughts and the universe is in that zone, right beside you.

Gratitude the Ultimate Tool for Success

Having recently enjoyed an amazing and wet spring in the Gatineau Hills it reminded me that I should be talking about gratitude in my blog. The word is an amazing tool when you want to ensure that you are making a difference here on the planet. Its a simple process, all you need to do is thank the universe and the creator every day for some of the simple things you already have.

We all get caught up in the fact that we want more of something to be happy. The simple fact is that the more you are thankful for including what you already have the happier you will become. Its pretty simple, we have everything in this world already around us. We don't need much else. Its simple just to say thanks for everything and realize when you do you whole attitude changes.

So thanks to the creator for the spring, as wet as you were, the cloudy days, the moody nights, the dandelions and the black flys. They are all the magnificent things that are part of making up this amazing world we live in. Just writing this blog, I feel a whole lot better and I am already more optimistic that the money is now on its way and will be in my hands. Thanks to the creator for making all of this possible.

Ten on the Prosperity Scale

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiYDel5Vqx6J9lKH3p9j3D0gBluwm3S8cUCWp2QT1tCgq08EEUnoOrwxWz5xcD6q1d4g_Pl29U5nRhJ0TaE_wicyEa5hTGsf5hANx5wDdf2YivLQOn2rwHM1jlzmr2Wp9buslhwgXcqzs-/s200/xcountry-podium.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578851834297465298" />
This week we discuss the prosperity scale from one to ten. First off, prosperity should be defined.

My view of prosperity is that it is made up of personal happiness and gratitude. For real prosperity, one should understand that one can be happy as long as one is living in integrity.

Integrity is a totally misunderstood thing. Integrity means being truthful and honest with yourself and those around you. It means being understanding, setting boundaries and dedicated and focused on what is right. In our modern society we have a lot of people that consider there lives to be in integrity but its mostly based on selfishness that what they are doing right for them and not those around them.

Prosperity on the other hand is about having and giving and giving freely to others. Prosperity can also focus in on telling the truth, keeping your commitments, living in integrity and making sure that you are sharing your true self with others.

How often have you walked into a room full of people and met those that are the one's that are contrived or seem to be unreal in how they discuss anything with you. Once you understand that prosperity is truth and truth leads to prosperity then you have hit ten on the prosperity scale.

There’s a Lot to be Thankful for in Business This Holiday Season

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 126px; height: 90px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm1RliMZCNekjNc0PjGqwpW9oHNs6sq3FrpQ-S1_pE1UERvtBQyMVphCGKbhHdx6D1_bVCNbIOlfwkMtkaXr0LQqbU3U6CqWVDqKFSdvg2-4GUmaWzz6LZrpGKL22Iweu2InOHAVb5jeN3/s200/Thankyou.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578852589160766946" />
A lot of North America is going through tough times especially our friends to the south who are still finding their way out of the recession. Just when it was thought that things were turning around it now seems that the recession is still got a hold on the U.S. and well in Canada things are still pretty much the same. We are holding our own and things are starting to look brighter every day.

In my book the Ten Commitments to a Better Life, I talk about how to say thank you for what you have. If you commit to saying thanks amazing things can happen.

It does not matter much where you are in the grand scheme of business or what religion you practice or preach, the holiday or the Christmas season is upon us and as a world we still have a lot to be thankful for. The following represents my five top business things to be thankful for this holiday season.

One: I want to say thank you for the Internet and all the free services provided by the Internet. Everything from sharing pictures and photos with friends, talking on Skype and having access to free email and millions upon millions of bytes of information on Google. This is one business tool we should never stop thanking.

Two: I want to say thank you for my Blackberry mobile phone. The Blackberry in my mind is one of Canada’s greatest inventions. Mind you it’s now taking second place to the Apple IPhone and the I pad but hopefully it won’t be there for long and with the advent of the new tablet in the spring, Blackberry should be back in the game.

Three: I wanted to say thank you to my customers. Customers are my greatest asset. They teach me how to run my business. They demand more from me and push me to be better than I could ever be alone. A wise man once said, if you want to know how to sell your product, just ask your customers. Too often as business people we forget that it’s our customers that are really our business. Without them we would not have a business, so thanks.

Four: I wanted to thank my suppliers. Without them I would also not have a business. They help me to produce the products I need to sell. Without my suppliers I would not have the research and development and the help to develop better products. So to my suppliers, thank you.

So we have a lot to be thankful for. I left out the usual stuff, like my family, my health and my banker, however those things get thanked every day. They are actually ranked, number one everyday. My health is the main thing and during my daily meditation I thank my body for its ability to heal when sick, or injured and able to provide so many great things for me to participate in including this manifestation of the reality of life around me.

I also thank the creator for making my life an amazing thing and in Canada (and North America for that matter) we have the opportunity to do anything we want in business.

So if you are business person out there and think and wonder when it’s going to turn around, just remember you are connected and you to have a lot to be thankful for. As we move into a new year, there are a lot of little things to be thankful for. It’s the little things that take care of the big things. So when in doubt say thanks and prosper.

Finding Passion in Your Life

Its been a while since I wrote on this page since my view of the world has been basically distorted and I have not considered the spiritual side of my being for some time. That does not mean I have not been considering it, I just have not written my thoughts down for a while.

With this blog, I promote basically living in the moment and marvelling at how great life is. Take this morning for instance. A long walk on a cold morning, a few snow flakes falling, the sun coming up over the vista's of the Gatineau Hills.

A black cat, smiling happy playing with his ball, a good cup of Starbucks coffee, a warm bet, the scent of the perfume of my girl friend ( my wife of 21 years) and the buzz after a yoga class and my meditation. This is what I call life. Simple things, simple things we can get passionate about.

Happy Friday in the Fall of 2010.

Back in the Spiritual Saddle

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiWHqLSISX-T2gw-zjpKD8vvdG7iE2Jti7AMvFvAvGqmN8tz_QA7kTFYFmD6_VmneE1f8PtXl64-iRTRuThWeTM9mB5HfpgmI9mDeuKKyZj_2mb2fqRDjjvWc3DGdO7YCbeOqBMumox0ry/s200/Glasses.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437740491502001698" />
I just got back from Mt. Tremblant in Quebec skiing with my old friends, something we have been doing for the past 25 years. Two of the guys I have known since public school since grade three. We get together every year we can and throw ourselves recklessly off the side of mountain. The neat thing about this is that when we get together its almost as if time sits still. We pick up the old conversations, we talk skiing, wives, kids, and tip a few just for old times sake.

The thing about skiing is that it takes a lot of confidence and getting over the fear of going down steep slopes on two worn out skis and knees and just trusting yourself. A few years back I was kind of afraid the whole time I skiing. I kept thinking I am too old for this and its too much trouble. Needless to say we got cold weather, blowing snow and skiing was not much fun. I decided it was time to give it up. At 57 why did I need to ski. Last year's trip I got the flu before the trip and did not make it. I felt at the time I could not care less.

The funny thing about your thoughts is that they dominate who you are and what you can become. Over the past year, I started to think about the ski trip again. I started to get a renewed interest and started to remember that skiing was one of the great fears in life I needed to get over. I started to want to ski. The closer the week came the more excited I became. I pulled out the old skis put them in the car, started getting my gear and boots together a week prior and by the time I was heading up to the slopes I was excited. I was excited to see my old friends, to conquer my fear once again and excited to be zipping down the slopes at high speeds and feeling the wind in my ears.

Needless to say the trip was amazing. Four days of glorious sun, great snow conditions, no people and lots of perfect temperatures. Is it coincidence? Did the universe provide ( as it always does) or was it just dumb luck?

In my book " The Ten Commitments to A Better Life" I describe in one chapter about the committing to where you fit it. For me this week I fit in as a skier. As such the universe provided the best conditions and the best situation for me because I was focused on having a great ski trip and looking forward to skiing in great conditions and with good friends.

As I have said many times, be careful for what you ask for as it usually shows up. Once again, the power of attraction and help from the universe was most likely on my side. Another great tip, is to not be attached to the outcome. You never know how the solution will appear, but the moment you give yourself a dedicated focus, the universe is always there. Can I say that with conviction. My ego doubts it, my personal self agrees with it and overall, I am not going to worry about it. As my book says -- ask the universe for what you want, be 100% clear and you will be amazed at what will happen.

Kensel Tracy is the Marketing Coach and helps small, medium and large sized business grow and prosper.

Getting In Touch - Deep Meaning and Commitment

Its been a while since I have been in touch on this blog since I have been running around like a manic and trying to build some business opportunities. The cool thing about this summer and some of the great break throughs I have had personally is that I am working now well within my means as a human being and operating completely within the confines of my overall unique persona. What I mean by this is that I am operating at a level of high integrity. I say this because one of the key commitments in my book " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life" was to get to know more about yourself and operate within the limits of your own personal integrity.

I have a lot to be thankful for especially now that I no longer " BS" myself. This was one of things I did not like about the other guy. He tended to live within a dream world of what he wanted rather than operating in a world that is complete.

I say this because in order to be complete and totally in integrity you need to operate at a specific level of having truth in everything you do. You cannot get to a high level of integrity if you continue to operate in the " bullshit " zone. This zone is one where you have not made amends to your past. You are still replaying the poor me movie.

The second thing is getting rid of tolerations. Major tolerations that continually take you directions that are not of your choosing. A key one is doing things with or for people you don't want to do only to please them. This happens a lot with high maintenance friends, parents, siblings, clients or other people that take your life as their own. They steal your time, your energy and your emotions.

The third key focus is knowing where you fit it. Knowing what level of skill you have, what you can bring to the party that is meaningful by using and sharing your knowledge. Its no longer about strutting your ego in situations, but making meaningful contributions to helping to make the world a better place.

How you do that is totally up to how you operate. Do you speak truths in a meaningful way? Do you help others willingly? Do you appreciate what you have.

Writing this blog and few others help me to discuss things with myself and I continually grow through this discussion. I really don't care if anyone reads it, however I am always amazed that I am found in the blogosphere and get comments on various things continuously. So I know it works. The universe is listening, listening to everything I say and do. If I give it misguided or the wrong messages I get the results that are intended regardless.

So being in integrity is kind of like riding a bike. Once you get there its easy to say what you mean and say what you want. You then commit to having the life you want. Everyone can receive the gifts they desire.

Once you are in integrity the world finds you. Isn't that funny. "Once you are in integrity the world finds you."

Kensel Tracy is The Marketing Coach and is a Senior Partner with the Corporate Coachworkz a coaching and business development company that helps small, medium and large sized business to grow and prosper.

Getting Off the Path -- Stop the Planet I want to Get On

Its been a while since I put anything in this blog. It sort of happened for a number or reasons. First off, I have gotten off the path. What I mean by this is that I have forgotten to get into the world and be a human being and not a human doing.

Human doing is about being on automatic pilot. It is sort of like not be conscious of what is around you and what is going on. Its been about doing things that have not allowed you to relax with the world, so sort of slow the process down, to consider your stress level, your health and your relationships.

Over the winter, life seemed more or less really hectic. Winter was not a hardship. It just seemed that I needed to be somewhere else for a while. After all if you keep up a torrid pace doing things everyday then you are " doing" and "not being".

The sanity that I have is with my lovely little place on the Gatineau river, my amazing wife and our cats. We lost a little girl cat, one that had been with us for 13 years and brought in Simon the wild man. The coolest thing about cats is that they are all pretty much the same as a cat that is, but they all have different personalities.

Simon sort of personifies the relationships in our house. He and Foster and Kathie all get along great. My wife sees amazing things and most of all sees hearts everywhere she goes. She attracts them. Anyway little Simon a kitten of 6 months and a terror has a heart on his back leg. Who knew and it is one of the amazing things that gets me back on the path.

The attraction path of knowing that everything happens just as its supposed to without not a lot pushing and pulling. Attracting what you what is part of the guiding principles in the "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". Written well before the big attraction phase, I learned early that if you wanted something all you needed to do was ask. You just needed to know what you wanted. Simon sort of happened as an attraction story since we were looking for a loving little cat to take the place of Maddie. We sort of described Simon together and then there he was with a loving heart and his own heart and all.

So I hope to take some time over the next few months to take stock, slow down, smell the flowers and feel the moment. I think that's what we all want. A lot more moments and whole lots less action on the crisis front.

So -- I have to go now, I need to start thinking about something new and getting back on the path.

Committing to Self Expression

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLZKyIxk2vj2sIcZXzN3tWp80Eqbmnjt2_gbjCGqBkEye1Y-Lb_H0hjKjXNEdHuc-FtNslwJnSIj1bqIVifd4tV-2MTh2N6MKGGsvwOcq45XLHZrXw64Jr6zHh2k3FOsRKycswlvynh2sq/s200/natur27.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252560196065980402" />
I have been writing this blog for some time now along with about four others and its amazing how much self expression can help you have a better understanding of yourself.

One of the key reasons most humans have trouble sorting themselves out is that they have a lot of creative energy swirling around them all the time. Most people refuse to pay attention to this creative spirit. I play music, write poetry, write and generally interested in anything that has a creative soul. I believe that this creative spirit is playful, fun, supportive and extremely helpful in helping you find out about more of who you are. You just need to let it in.

In my book the " Ten Commitments to a Better Life", I have one commitment dedicated to knowing where you fit it. I truly believe that it is this creative spirit that will help you do that. The aboriginal people have many traditions including drum ceremonies which they say helps connect them to their creator. I know that there is nothing better than banging out a few assorted riffs on the keyboard with a band full on and in the pocket. How many times have you listened to classical music and been taken to a higher place. It is this creative spirit that is a work all the time.

In order to get to that place, I suggest that you commit to carrying out one act of self expression this week. For example you can write in your journal. This one act will help you develop a relationship with your self and your self expression. Try to learn a new instrument even if its a drum. Listen to the sound and how it inspires your soul.

I made a commitment to learn a new instrument every year and now play key boards, harmonica, accordion extremely well along with cowbell and triangle. I still have not mastered the guitar even though I tried various approaches over the years only to decide to focus on keyboards and leave the guitar to Eric Clapton and John Mayer.

So when your creative spirit stirs -- give it some food for thought. I cannot tell you how many times our band has played and people come up to me and say, "god I wish I could do that". I say you can. That is how I like to spend my holidays. Its funny that a day at the beach can seem like a lifetime in comparison to our everyday work days which seem to pass by too quickly. As a student of life its good to connect with nature on an ongoing basis and remember that we are all connected a some point to the big picture and the energy around us. The power of the ocean and the energy it gives is extremely powerful and I think that is why a day at the beach can bring about major changes in a person's thought patterns.

So this week I am trying to get my thoughts organized and committing to becoming less stressed and more in the moment. In my book " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life", I point out the being balanced all the time is a big commitment. It is this balance that allows you to develop thoughts about what is most important.

Its not about worry. Worry is a thought that is manifested by the ego and it needs to have something to feed to you so it can be in charge. The more we worry about something the more of "that" we attract. Trying to stay balanced in the moment is one of the hardest things we can do, as the ego will always try to take you in direction and then compound those thoughts and piles it on and before long we have more problems or issues than we intended on in the first place. A lot has been said about thoughts and how thoughts can manifest change. Trying to be more in the moment will allow you to think about where you are right here and right now.

Now if you want to change the channel, just change your thoughts. Remember what you think about expands both positive and negative. So controlling your thoughts and the ego is one of most challenging commitments we can make.

It is this single commitment of trying to keep your thoughts in check and being balanced all time, that will help you think about things that are important and not things; that you can not change.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business coach and is a Senior Partner with the Corporate Coachworkz Inc. I realized that if it was all that important I would have made a firm commitment to focusing on that specific thing. I realized that it is these things that get us in trouble.

When an individual commits to something that is not really important, they are starting to get off the path. In deciding how and when to make commitments one needs to heed this advice. If you have not kept a commitment it cannot be that important.

It is time to reevaluate the level of the commitment and why you made it in the first place. It is also part of a bigger picture and shows you that you are operating on reflex and not on purpose. When one is dedicated to making and keeping commitments, this focus of operating on purpose is the thing that makes the commitment easy to keep.

In future I will think twice about making a commitment, especially to something I already know is not in my plan. I learned an important lesson this week. Its easy to commit and keep a commitment especially if its something that is important in your life. If its marginal then its time to move on, so that you do not make a commitment reluctantly and get yourself in trouble later, by not keeping you promise to do what you say you will do.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business coach, ( The Marketing Coach) and has written the book " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". She has been promoting this book for the past few weeks and getting people world wide to sign up for her online training program. At last count over 500,000 people world-wide had signed up. It not only shows the power of television but it also shows that the world is really in search of a new way of thinking. It also shows that there is a need for the world to change its current pattern on how it operates. A few years back I read a lot of books that talked about how humans were fed up with the merry-go-round of going to work to get money to buy things so that they could be satisfied about going to work. It was a perfect example of a world that needs to change its priorities in regards to where you are now.

Most of the people I know in Canada anyway, live in nice homes, have money, drive nice cars, complain about the weather and have pretty much everything they want. However there seems to be a general feeling of unhappiness in what most people do. Tolle's " A New Earth" is a pretty amazing book as it breaks down a lot of the myths that humans have operated under for a lot of life and starts to help people get in touch with what is important now. His other books " The Power of Now" teach, that the "now" exists in the mind and that the mind is the most important tool there is as " what you think about expands". Its this commitment to being present that will help you take the ego out of your everyday life and give you a positive mind set to allow you to accomplish what it is you want as opposed to doing what you think it is you want.

I admire my wife, Oprah and Eckhart Tolle for being " life pioneers" again and committing to making the world a better place. Now if we can only get the rest of the world to remove its historical and religious biases the world will be a better place.

Kensel Tracy is a Personal and Business Coach and author of the "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". My book " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life" was written in one weekend. The way it happened was quite amazing. I had been writing a book about " new age sales" sort of a best practices for selling in the modern era. I had close to 150 pages written when my hard drive crashed. I lost the book. Thomas Leonard the founder of Coach University and literally everything that was written or created in coaching had also just passed away. I was devastated. I had just talked with Thomas a few months earlier as he made his journey around North America by RV, selling his book "The Portable Coach.".

One night a couple of weeks after my computer melt down, I could not sleep. Life was getting crazy for me as I had a full service advertising agency and the pace I was keeping was nuts. I was also slightly bummed out, Thomas, the book; life just was not getting any better. Sitting in my wife's most comfortable chair, I took out my journal and started to think about what I should write about. I thought that the biggest problem for most of my clients is they could not commit to the changes that they needed to make to have more in their lives.

At that point I started writing the ten commitments people needed to make to make their life better. I carried these around on a piece of paper, posted them in my office and even delivered a couple of short presentations on "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life" to a couple of business groups.

One Saturday morning armed with a cup of coffee and the spa channel on the satellite radio, the ten commitments were written. At that time, I felt as if Thomas was talking through me. I got the tingles and the hair on the back of my neck went up, as the words flowed through me like a mad man.

Sunday afternoon around 2:00 pm the book was finished. Although its only 75 pages, in my mind it is a masterpiece of direct contact with the universe. I added a self help guide and had an editor review it for grammar and spelling.

Today it is one of my really fine personal accomplishments, as one should always have a legacy project. Two copies sit in the National Library of Canada archives and to date, 1500 copies have been sold, given away or sent to publishers. Not a great deal of books, but the results have been fascinating. Everyone who I have talked to that has read it says they have received one small thing that has changed their life. Its not too often that you can create something that really makes a difference.

So, connect with the universe if you can, through meditation, prayer, contemplation or whatever. Listen to the inner voice and act upon what is given. It may be a simple book that makes a difference or it could be the next Facebook or Google. Either way you will be acting upon your inner passion and making your life more of what it is for you and what you supposed to become. Who knows the next Mircosoft could be just around the corner.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business coach and is a Senior Partner with the Corporate Coachworkz. Wattles. It is a bold title for a book and suggests that getting rich is a predictable outcome if one can master the principles outlined in the book. Here is how Wallace D. Wattles puts it in his own words, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

Certainly, this book is well referenced by many of the great teachers today and it is the same book that inspired Rhonda Byrne to produce that runaway success "the Secret". Here is what Rhonda Byrne said on her introductory note to the book, "I can honestly say that, since that first night when a tattered printed manuscript found its way to me (thanks to one of my daughters), my life has never been the same. Once you read it for yourself, you will understand why". Rhonda went on to produce the movie "the Secret" and the best-selling book of the same title which has sold millions of copies worldwide.

However, learning how to do things in that "certain way" as described by Wallace D. Wattles may be more challenging for some as the book was written nearly 100 years ago. Some of the language is a little dated and much of its wisdom lost from a modern day perspective.

Fortunately, a new training seminar for the Science of Getting Rich has brought the wisdom of this timeless classic back to life for modern readers. Called "the Science of Getting Rich", this program is the most comprehensive training system for mastering Wallace D. Wattles wealth creation philosophies and principles since its creation. It comprises written, audio and live seminar formats for learning, applying and mastering the Science of Getting Rich.

A unique "twist" to the program is the fact that it has an in-built vehicle for creating substantial financial wealth through its affiliate program. This is truly a unique wealth eduction and wealth building program designed to empower any individual with the resources to get rich. It is a program whose time has come. This is not the time to make a bunch of ill conceived new year's resolutions. In order to have the best year of your life you need to get back to that place where you feel you belong. This usually requires some form of key decision making about where you are right now, right here right now. This is a great place to start. Get yourself a planning journal.

This book should become your bible for the new year. Start with a review of where you have been in the past year and where you would like to go. Take everything just as it is, bumps and all and write it down. Develop your dream journal so you can have a few new things on the horizon. The secret is that the power of attraction will move towards you as you start to get more in integrity about where you are and where you want to go.

The dream list should point out a few new opportunities. The other keys to having your best year ever, are to believe, that what it you are looking for this year will just show up. The only thing to be aware of is that it may not happen as fast as you would like. A good trick and one that is used by a lot of zen practitioners is to participate in segment living. In other words, taking sections of the year and building them into segments. You develop a focus through concentrating on focusing on each segment of your life.

Understanding everything about where you are now, what it is you are experiencing and then fully living each and every experience. Each segment has a focus so that everything your are doing has meaning.

As soon as you have faith in what it is your are experiencing especially with the truths that you experience and accepting then what it is that is given to you. The other key is to know it will show up. The biggest issue with most people is; they usually give up thinking or manifesting what it is they want too soon. Remember the universe works on its own time.

So this year when you go into that state of depression where everything you wanted has not shown up yet, go back to your journal and start manifesting a whole lot more. When you commit to something and focus in on it, it will have a better chance of success than not committing to anything at all. Its time to manefist you best year ever.

Kensel Tracy is a small business coach and author of the Ten Commitments to a Better LIfed

Meditation Helps to Build the Connection to Getting What You Desire

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsASFiqnaTsCaVrFUb2DD0h6WhwF2UQ2rDwS5XWNno-gsExSoONc1OEvBP6LyuC6LH-h_dnva0gSQubT8xEpkP0BehCZkCzN9_xPzpYy-d09EIZqw3YhGn3Ncu3ITTyP_ox9ku9ljmtljB/s200/P1010487.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5138613613514355010" />
In my morning meditation today, I was thinking about what I should write in my blog. I know for all of you out there who meditate regularly that you are not supposed to really have any thoughts and just let it happen.

I have however found that this few moments of selfish time spent in deep thought each morning is really refreshing and very nourishing to the inner and outer self. This
morning for example, I felt the connection with the great source of power. This connection is what helps human beings attract what it is they want. Its also this connection that all the great spiritual leaders over time considered as their actual conduit to god.

The power of meditation is that it slows time down. It can take 10 minutes and make if feel like an hour. I always feel that right after a good mediation, that the world is brighter and I feel more thankful and energized. I also feel that the body needs this time to reconnect with the mind which can be a really good friend or can deter you from what it is you want. The secret to getting what it is you want is to make this connection with the creator. It takes time to build; however once you find a method that works for you, you can go to that place at anytime.

So today I asked for some help in finding my next mission, some help in sending some energy to a couple of places on my body that were bothering me, shoulder, hand, and the sinus headache I felt I was developing. After 10 glorious minutes I felt energized and a whole lot better. Also the debate about what I was going to write this morning vanished, as I just sat down at the computer and here we are together.

So I think its important if you are trying to find out some of those important things in your life, you can assist yourself by going further within and connecting to the creator. This power is an amazing asset. Most religions practice prayer and meditation as part of regular routine. It is these 10-15 minutes every morning that can open the awareness door and help you to find out what it is you are searching for.

I have also setup a new morning routine, something I have been committed to now for the better part of year. It includes a coffee club, 30 minutes of laying in bed with a coffee talking with my wife. This has allowed our love to grow and to really build a powerful connection, 30 minutes of yoga using a yoga television show as the motivator. This is something I thought I would never do but now I look forward to getting out the mat and meeting Sonja every morning at 6:00 am, ( tuning out the commercials) and then a short meditation right after of 10-20 minutes depending on my time availability and then a walk.

Our walk ranges from 30-45 minutes depending on my commitments to my consulting practice in the morning. I have found this to be an amazing routine as it allows me to spend time with my wife, my inner self and my outer self. I also believe it is this time that at 55 years of age has helped me to keep feeling young and having an energized prospective on life each and every day.

So try to commit to being more in the moment, and if you are feeling a bit confused about life in general try to get some time to renew your spirit and connect with your inner self. I also have a program called " Soul Destiny". It also preaches and practices meditation along with a mediation journal. It has helped me to focus and put a few things in prospective and along the way helped me to self heal a few aches and pains. It is this connection to your inner self that can help harness your energy and your connection to the creator. It will help move you in a direction that leads you to where is you want to be. If you commit to just 10 minutes a day of mediation, great things will happen and you will be helping yourself harness the power of the universe in moving you towards finding those dreams and desires you want.

Kensel Tracy is Personal and Business Coach and author of the book, " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". We find ourselves thinking, if only I had the money I would do ....

Most of us don't think we have all the money we want or need. It is easy to feel that if we could just get a few thousand more dollars, all our problems would be solved. However, you may find even if you won the lottery, you would still want more. Life will always create money worries,so the important thing is how to deal with them. Try to keep money in its proper place, don’t let it dominate your life. Take practical steps to improve your financial situation, but try also to be content with your current situation; it is a mistake to always feel that a lack of money is our most significant problem.

Try to take a look at how money is ruling your life. Try also to commit to knowing that the lack of money should not hold you back from what it is you want. It's also important to look at the other things, like your health, your lack of motivation or your lack of commitment to getting the things you want.

So if you want something in your life and think you can't have it because you lack the money, try to commit to thinking again and also be thankful for what you have right here, right now. Abundance is not necessarily about money. Try to give this some thought this week. When you start adding everything up you will find you have everything you need.

Commit to Happiness

My thoughts are turning to winter here in Canada and soon the ground will be covered in snow. The summer is behind me now. As usual I tend to get a little sad about the loss of the plants, leaves and greenery as we settle in for the bland months. This year however I have committed myself to just being happy.

I know that sounds simple enough, but it really is. If you are living your life in integrity, happiness is easy to find. When one is living their life without worrying about the past and is more present centered then its really easy to be happy. A lot of unhappy people are still letting there past dictate their present. They are always reverting back to those unhappy memories, wishing they could change something or feeling guilty for something that happened a long time ago.

A while back I read in a book, I can't remember where, the writer defined every day a new day as long as his feet hit the ground. I remember at that time thinking that I could be reborn everyday and that I would from then on forgive myself for the things I did yesterday and live this day like it was my last.

The cool thing about that is, my outlook changed almost immediately. I felt happy and carefree just like a kid again, when summers lasted forever and days seemed like eternity. At that time I committed to trying to experience every day in the present. Once in the present I could change my way of thinking and commit to being happier. In fact without working too hard at it I found myself singing, smiling, being open with everyone I met and generally being more accepting to everything and everyone.

I now make it a point to smile at everyone I meet and say " how's your day going". It's interesting to see the response. In the coffee bar the other day, the women serving a lineup of people, stopped, looked up and said with a smile on her face, really good thanks. Here she was at 7:30 in the morning looking tired from starting at 4:00 am and she took the time to smile and reinforce my own day.

So today, try to commit to sharing more of your day with others. If your questing or re-questing for something, the piece of the puzzle may come from the people you meet. Open yourself to being happier, let the universe shine its light on you and remember -- it all will be given, you just need to notice.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business coach, and author of "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life." You can get it a Amazon.com

Commit to Keeping an Open Mind

I was on my way back in the car from Toronto today and had a lot of time to think. I was thinking why some people get what it is they want and others are still not making the connection. The key to getting what it is you want I think, is keeping an open mind. Too often, what it is we want does not show up because we revert back to the our old thoughts. This causes us to doubt what it is that we want and then we just give up and move on to something else.

It's this one important commitment of keeping an open mind that will help us achieve our goals. For example, keeping an open mind, gives you more reasons why what it you are working on manifesting, will work. Keeping an open mind allows you to see the opportunities when they show up. Keeping an open mind lets you put lots of little clues together helping you to move more in the direction of your desire. So next time you are on the verge of doubting your want or reaching your goal, remember that doubt is the strongest tool there is . Doubt is beneficial when trying to throw an adversary off their game, but keeping an open mind and keeping the negatives away will help to move you in the direction of getting everything you want.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business Coach and author of "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". Manifesting is getting what it is you want and why. I realized however that manifesting is a major commitment. If one really wants something to happen in the world, then one needs to become clear with the creator, get connected and really commit to believing that it will happen.

Manifesting is a simple process. It takes commitment however, as you need to truly understand and believe that whatever you want to have happen in your life, is truly possible. The power of the commitment is to have enough faith in knowing that you will get what it is you want, when you want it even if it is something that you think is totally out of your grasp.

Manifesting is also a significant focusing technique. The individual just needs to learn to follow through and stay focused on the outcome and not give up. Another tip for manifesting is to remember the universe's time for delivering may be different from your timing.

The key here is to give your dreams a time line that is broad based. Another tip I have learned is not to ask for money. For example; if it is money that you need, then abundance is what you want. The key to everything is to be committed to the asking and then recognizing the opportunities that are presented that start to lead you to your manifested outcome.

Here's an example. A number of years ago, I wrote down five things I wanted in my life on a piece of paper and put it in a drawer. Five years after that exercise I was moving into my new log house in the country and found this piece of paper. All five things that were written down on the piece of paper had been achieved without me really knowing it. I had forgotten that I even wrote them down and one of things was living in a log house in the country.

I believe now that I set the path then for the universe to help me by committing and writing down what is was I wanted and since I did not cancel my request, everything happened as it was supposed to.

So, if you just commit to manifesting what it is you want, then good things can
happen. You just need to become more aware them when they do. Also be careful for what you ask for as it will always show up. Its all about attitude and commitment.

Kensel Tracy is a Personal and Business Coach and is Senior Partner with the Corporate Coachworkz in Chelsea Quebec and Author of The Ten Commitments to a Better Life.
You can order it now at Amazon.com

Committing to Inspired Action Helps You Get Want You Want

I was having coffee this morning with my wife in our morning coffee club. This is where we get up early and lay in bed with a coffee talking about our life together. Its the most important part of my day. I was telling her about the blog and how it was shaping up and she said that in her mind commitment was about taking inspired action to get what it is you want. I thought, wow she was right, the basis of every commitment is really about taking inspired action.

In order to get what you want and move your life forward all you need to do is take inspired actions. This can include any number of things such as more research or investigation, writing something down, meditating and asking for something, making key decisions, or just getting out and just doing it. Inspired action is about getting over the fear of the outcome and just getting yourself more engaged in what it is you want to do. Think about this today and make a commitment to take more inspired action towards what it is you want. When you do this you have better chance of getting what it is you want and need.

Kensel Tracy is a personal and business coach and is Senior Partner with the Corporate Coachworkz Inc.
