Aloha and Welcome!! Yesterday was a lazy day for me.... I went grocery shopping in the morning. The cashier lines at the store that I shop at had moved from one side of the store to the other. Last week when I had been there, they were in the process of moving the cashiers, and I remember thinking to myself while leaving, that the next time I come back, they will already have been moved. So I got to see them in their now location yesterday. The cashiers got new "booths". The lady that I usually go to, "Naomi" told me last week, "what fo' they changing 'em fo'??? The only ting wrong with these (the old booths) was the belts get some holes, but no need change out the whole ting!!"... LOL... well, I just smiled n' laughed. I thought to myself that maybe the owners wanted a new change and somewhere to spend that money. So that's where it's going to. Naomi continued to say, "look like Foodland's old booths...so small, and all buss up! I bet they got 'em from dem. Gotta be, cause green just like, ya???"... LOL!! Love her.... I go to her line cause she can talk up a storm and cracks me up everytime I go there. She was right though, they were too small. The belt wasn't as long as the last one, and the space for where the food goes to be bagged was very limited. But I guess it allowed for more room for the store owner to put more products out on the floor. Regardless, they still have the same foods that I love to eat, so not like the new cashier's booth or it's location is going to change my mind about going there.

After grocery shopping, I pretty much wasted my day. Well, actually - I spent about 4 hours trying to input my Mary Kay order, and then my Stampin' Up! order. The MK order took the longest, because I was trying to get used to their ordering platform. I almost wanted to jump out of my seat, and just say "forget it!!!"... but I just dealt with it, and kept going. I have been procrastinating on both orders... but FINALLY I got to put them in, and yay, so happy that I did!!!

We later attended home fellowship in the evening. We watched the movie "Courageous" last week, and then talked about the movie and the biblical views from the movie. I tell ya... so much to take from that movie. If you haven't had the chance to watch that movie, go check it out. Whether you are a Christian or not, that movie just has a lot of core values that would make it so worth watching. :O) In the movie, {{spoiler alert}} there is a scene where the men take an oath over a resolution that was drawn up. Such a touching part. The men of our home fellowship decided to also take this oath. However, please note, as Christians, these men are already living this oath, but we all thought that it would be an awesome thing for them to read and do together. Here is a picture of them doing just that.

Anyways, my project that I am sharing with you today is a card created for one of my card orders I received last year. The image is from Karber Digital Designs. This is a real sweet image. I didn't really put that much work on this card, and after looking at it, I thought I should've done more. But the order was for simple n' sweet cards, not too much embellishments, so I didn't want to over do it. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch markers. I have downloaded a bunch of other digital images from Karber Designs, and am looking forward in creating with them. So be on a look out!!!! The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. :O)

Oh, by the way, on the 11th and 12th of this month, I will be participating in a blog hop called, "Sexy Sirens and Vixen's Blog Hop". We will be featuring Kenny G's Download sexy images. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with, and you won't wanna miss this really sexy blog hop. It was so much fun coloring those images, I had to get me some of my own!!! Ok, it is time for bed for me... long day tomorrow. Well, should be a nice one, mid-morning I'll be enjoying a full body massage, on the North Shore. I'll try and take some pics while I'm out there. Then Mid-Week Bible Study in the evening. Yeeee... Praise the Lord!!! It is NICE to be busy in HIM and for HIM!! Thank U, Jesus!!!

Hiyah!! I'm back!!! This is my 2nd post for today... since I had to step out earlier, I didn't have a chance to share these cards that I created using Kitty Bee Designs. Ok, as I mentioned earlier - the illustrator is Ruth, and she is a local who lives here in Hawaii. I've colored all the Kitty images that she gave me, so now I just have to turn them into cards. Here are 2 of the images that I've created into cards...

Earlier I stepped out to hang out with my mom n' dad. They are getting pretty old, and do not feel comfortable with driving around. So my mom had asked me if I could take her and dad and run some errands. Of course, I was fine with that. My mom also wanted to stop by the open-market. We later went to a Chinese restaurant that my dad loves, and it was just a real treat to hang out with those 2. I made them laugh with my silly remarks, and they made me laugh with their reactions. One thing I notice was that I was done with eating before them. I didn't have much to eat, because I have told myself that once I feel full, that's it, I need to STOP. They on the other hand kept eating and eating. I mentioned to them, "Wow - you guys can really put away, ya??" my mom laughs, and she tells me, "well, not too long for me to live - I might as well eat up and all that I can". It was such a fun day with them. The weather was perfect too... rainy n' cold. Loved it. Although my dad was nervous about the situation on the road, I just had to reassure him that I was the best driver around, because I drive JUST LIKE HIM!!!! Funny thing is, I think that worried him even MORE! LOL....

Some info on this 2nd card... the layers that the sentiment is on is a cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I love this cart!!! I used my white pen to add stitch marks unto the layers, but as I was marking around the white pen started to disappear... ugh!! Irritating!!!! So I decided to make the stitches with my black sharpie instead. Works so much better!! I also added stickles, and the flowers are from Hero Arts.

NEW Images from Kitty Bee Designs

Hey Gang... a real quick post this morning! Just wanted to share with you a new and upcoming digital/stamp company called "Kitty Bee Designs". The illustrator is Ruth, a local girl of Hawaii, whom I have met via Facebook! Facebook is awesome isn't it? Anyways, she gave me a couple of images to mess with, and I am honored that she has asked me to play with them. I've colored them here, and have already made several cards. But because I am just about ready to head out the door, I only have time to share with you the images that I've colored. I will post the cards as soon as I get home. Valentine's Send A Hug

Aloha!! This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down to view the cards Ali n' I created for the month of January, which we are sending to ATP Ministries Hawaii. Speaking of the ministry....well it is the month of February, and during this month, we as paper crafters are usually creating cards of love. A blog reader, Chris, had suggested a great idea for this card ministry that I am in. "A Valentine Send A Hug" was what she called it. This would be a fun project for you to also do with your child, and then you can share with them where or to whom the card(s) are going to. Or even have your child create a card on her/his own and send that to the youth. Basically, if you would like to send a handmade card to brighten the day of a locked up youth, here are the rules to follow:

Do not include candies or goodies
If you decide to sign them, sign them only by your 1st name (keeping your privacy confidential).
No Personal Information on your cards (if you have a "created by" stamp, please do not include anything else but your 1st name.
No sharp objects.

This is the ministries that I was sharing with you earlier, about how I wanted to create n' donate at least 10 cards to this ministry monthly. For this month, I used digital images from Dustin Pike's Doodle Dragon's Studio and Hero Arts sentiments. Ali used Stampin' Up! images and sentiments.

My Recent Stampin' Up! Order....

Hi Gang!!

This 2nd time around as being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I've recognized that I haven't been doing much with my Stampin' Up! "career"- other than purchasing products and having my girlfriends purchase products along with me, just so I can meet the quarterly goals. I ask myself, Am I really serious about this "career"? No...Not really.... because I have too much fun buying the stuff, and not paying attention to the part of "making money". That really sucks! I really should try and get some projects created so that I can either make money selling the products to make these or, make money selling the creations I make with these products. It's hard, because there's always something else that comes up and takes my attention and focus away from creating. I also find myself buying these products, and then not using them, and then the next thing I know, the promotion is long gone, and then I'm purchasing new products again thinking I am going to make samples for the next promotion coming up, and then the cycle continues!!! Irked!! It's crazy!!! It's like I am Stampin' Up!'s personal "DT", but they have so much "DT's" out there, that it doesn't really matter if I do my job as a "DT" or not, because other "DT's" who actually have the time to create with their products are doing a great job selling the products with their samples. LOL!! I am a dork. I really need to get off of this blog and start creating... I think I am addicted to SHOPPING for craft products, and not creating with them. Stampin' Up! reeks the benefits off of crazies like me. But hey, that's business... so anyways, I just wanted to share with you the latest items that I've purchased from Stampin' Up!... I am hoping that I can create with them before I make my next purchase!!!! Also right now it is "Sell-A-Bration" promotion time. Lovely As A Tree Cards and Spot Coloring on Photo

Aloha and Happy Saturday!!! Hope your weekend is going well... I'm going to be creating today, but wanted to post my project for the day. I don't have a digi page to share with you! Duh! slacking already. LOL... but I hope I will be able to catch up with my pages later today! if I do, I will post another blog post then.

In the mean time I will share 2 card creations with you. These cards were created using Stampin' Up!'s "Lovely As A Tree" set. Both could pass for masculine cards, and the trees are so lovely - I will probably never let go of this set. Makes great mellow/masculine cards, right??

Here is my photo for today... I was playing with my PSE, and was able to do "Spot Coloring". Super Fun!!! This is a photo of our doggie who passed away about 5 years ago. Super sad..... we miss him so much, cause he was such a sweetheart and he listened so well!!!

Hi Gang!! Sorry this post is LATE in the day. I have been helping my girlfriend plan her wedding, so we're checking out venues of where she could possible hold her ceremony and reception. It is very exciting... and on top of that, another friend of mines who is a wedding coordinator has approached me and asked for my help with her business. What an awesome opportunity this would be for the both of us!! So exciting!! Please help me pray about this, that I am guided in the path that the Lord would want for me. :o)

Here are the projects for today.... my card creation is another masculine card. The image is a digi image from Tiffany Doodles. Love that she has some masculine images, because I have so many "cutesy" images!! Thank U, Tiffany!! :O)

Here is my digital page for the day.... this is a family shot of all of us that attended the mini-high school reunion for my hubby's buddies. Yes, there is a boat in the restaurant. Cy's favorite restaurant, because he gets to play in the boat after eating. Haven't gone there in a while... I didn't really put too much on this page. Wanted to keep it pretty simple.

Ok, so I have been searching high n' lo for digital printing, because I wanna start printing my pages. I checked out Costco $2.99/page, and Sam's size not avail, well they have a larger size, which you will have to cut down yourself, but I didn't want to go that route. For Costco, if I picked up at the store, for 10 prints, I would pay $31, if shipped $34. I thought that was still a little steep - thinking I'd print at least 20 pages per month, that'll be $60/month I'd have to dish out. Anyways, the Lord heard my prayers!!!! I finally came across Scrapbooks to Share - which charges only $1.50/page, shipping of $6, still coming out to only $21 for 10 pages!!! Yay!!! I think I am going to go with them. Not sure of the quality, but I will be sure to let ya all know how I like it after my 1st order. :O)

I also wanted to start posting all these photos I have been taking with my cameras.... man so many things, so little time!! Was going to start reposting to my photo blog, but bleh... just gonna keep it all here!! It is a photo of Ali's n' my car!! YES... it is IDENTICAL!!! Heee heee.... isn't it awesome?? Ali loved my car so much, she decided to get one herself. We both LOVE our cars.... Thanks to our hubbies!!!

Shaker Card and Digi Page

Aloha and Happy Wednesday, Gang!! Today I have a card that my 7 year old (6 at the time he created it) practically made all on his own. It is a shaker card that he asked me to show him how to make, so that he could give to his lil' cousin on her birthday. It turned out soooo cute!! I just loved watching him work with all my supplies {{with very close guidance tho'!}}... he was just having a blast creating with what he had. I helped him with the tying of the ribbon. :o)

Here is my daily digital page... I was going back n' forth about posting them on 2 different posts, or keeping them on the same post, and then I just figured, just put them on 1 post, so that if someone comments, they can comment on 1 post easily. So here's today's digi page:

These guys have been buddies since high school, and back in 2009, we had a dinner at Sam Choy's, and these are a couple of pics that we took that night. I have several more to create pages of.

Thanks for popping.... it's a challenge to stay on top of these digi pages, but I am happy that I am following through. It's only January, so I should talk too soon! I was soooo sleepy tonight (I'm pre-posting this the night before), and I thought I was going to skip the digi creation. But I did it!! Praise the Lord! :o)

Hey there... hope your week has started off on a great start so far! Well, here is what I have to share with you today. You should've already seen my digitally created page that was previously posted. I am quite pleased with myself, so far, to be able to keep up with my daily digi scrapbooking pages. So much fun!! Well, here is a card that I created. Image is a Greeting Farm image. Heart n' Heart Scallop are Cricut cuts. I am thinking that the sentiment is also a TGF stamp, but I am not sure about that. This card was fun to create.

Sorry, pic is kinda blurry... oh well, you get the idea.

Happy New Baby

Aloha! Happy Monday!! How was your weekend? Mines was a lot quieter than last week's bought of stomach virus. The fam-bam is back in tack and back on track. Praise The Lord. It was pretty tough to go through that stuff, but what else can you do? You can only let the virus take it's course, and get the yuckies out of our tummies, right? Well, so happy that it is soooo over!!

Here is today's project. It is a baby card that I created for a card order. The punch that I used for the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!. This punch is a punch that Ali is trying to decide to get. Ali, get it! LOL.... It has so much diversities... and I am sure so much easier n' quicker to use. Once she has it, she'll be happy she made that choice of purchasing it, right? Hee hee...

The image on this card is a Whipper Snapper image, which I colored with my Copics. Speaking of Copics, I have been using them recently, coloring some images for a Sexy Blog Hop we will have in February. I've been having so much fun with my Copics lately, it reminded me of how much I love this hobby!!

Anyways, I have added another "creative goal" to my list of things I want to accomplish this year. I have decided that I want to start reposting photos to my "Hawaii Photos By Jen" blog. I will post a daily photo, and if you have a chance to check it out - please stop on by. Thanks again for your support in my crazy creativity activities. I really appreciate it!!

Birthday RAK

Happy Aloha Friday!!! It's the beginning of a new year, and I have all these ideas of what I want to do creatively.... One of them is to focus on getting the Birthday RAK going again. I've had it for several years now, but haven't paid much attention to it all last year. I really want to focus more attention on that, because I don't want to have to have to put an end to it. I'm going to try and send out a card to each birthday participant. Projects For My Grand-Niece and 1st Digi Scrapped Page of the Year

Good Day, Peeps!! How is your new year coming along so far??? Well, I've gotta tell ya, for us, we had a stomach sickening start. My eldest son, CY4 caught the stomach virus from my brother on Christmas day. He was sick, sick, sick... poor boy! Throwing up and just not feeling well all around. Then right before New Year's Eve, my lil' one caught the bug. He too threw up and wasn't feeling well for at least 2 days. Then it was my turn... ugh!! I just hate throwing up!! I can handle all the other types of sickness, but the stomach sickness sucks!!! It just takes all the energy out of you, and oh boy, I was sore all over!! I caught it the morning of New Year's day!! I remember getting up at 3:45 am, then feeling queasy, and I kept thinking to myself, "no, no, no, don't throw up!"... but that didn't work, because soon enough, I was running to the bathroom and letting it out. Oh boy! My body was just not in control of what was going on. Now, it is my hubby's turn to have it. I know that he is suffering thru all that pain, and I feel bad because I want to do something to make him feel better, but I know that I can't really do anything that'll make him feel better - and that he has just got to ride it out. Praying that it goes quickly though.

The kids are back in school, and I am trying to get my house back in order. It is always hard to get back on track in a timely manner, right after vacay. I will be helping a girlfriend of mines with her wedding plans, so I gotta make sure that I can juggling all my chores, and pleasures equally. This year, I also wanted to set a goal of creating a 12x12 Digi Scrapbook Page daily. LOL!! Yes, you heard right, I did say DAILY!! I hope I can pull through... I am starting with the digital pictures that I took back in 2009. So hopefully I will be able to FINALLY start some kinda 12x12 album of mines that is all digitally scrapped. I'll post a page daily, along with the other projects I've created.

Today's projects were created for my grand-niece's birthday, back in October. I have been so crazy busy, haven't had the chance to post these, so finally I am getting around to it. :o)

The tags shown above are individual tags that I created for the center piece that my niece was giving to the VIP's of the party. I cut the tags on my Cricut, sorry I can't remember what cartridge it came from. But there are so many carts out there that come with tags, that you could really chose any tag cut that you want to. The frill came from "Cindy Loo" cartridge. I then highlighted with white pen, and then added dew drops, and flowers from Prima. Names were handwritten by me.

Here is the birthday card I created for my grand-niece. I used the "CTMH Art Philosophy" cartridge to cut out the card, and the frame. Also the sentiment is from the set that I purchased when I got the cartridge. The cartridge is only available thru a CTMH rep, which I found on eBay. I have more to play with using this set, so hopefully I will get around to it before time goes by!!! The frill on this card was also cut out using "Cindy Loo". The flowers are from All Natural Accents, and I used my White Pen to draw stitches. Pearls are from J's Knicknacks. Here's a closer look...

Now for my digitally scrapped page... one of my boys at Aloha Tower Marketplace. I know we were waiting for our table to be ready, but I am not sure where we were going to eat. But as we waited, they were so sweet to pose for a few photo shots. :o) BTW, this is officially the 1st project I created this year. :o)

They created a whole bunch too... like I said in the post from yesterday, those Locked up Lambs were truly blessed!!!

Hi Gang!! This past Christmas, Ali and I were blessed to be able to serve the Lord by creating some Christmas cards for some Locked up Lambs at a juvenile home located here on the island. Here are a bunch of cards that I created. Tomorrow I will post the bunch of cards Ali created. Together we were able to provide the ministry with 44 cards total!!! I posted a blog post about this ministry a couple of weeks ago, asking for cards to be sent directly to the ATP Ministry. If you sent in a card, I sincerely thank you!! The kids were humbly blessed by all those that sent cards in, as they were able to receive 4 Christmas cards EACH!!! Wowie!!! God is sooo Good!!! Thank U, Lord!!

The kids felt loved and were just in awe that there were people out there, that don't even know them, but cared enough to send a card ~ and through this, shared with them the love of Christ!! It would be an awesome testimony, for even just 1 child to receive a card, and that feeling of love and encouragement is given to them through that card, that it might even perhaps change thier view of how the world is, thus changing the life path of that child. Therefore, this year, I am committing myself to this ministry, by creating cards monthly for them. Either for them to receive from, or to send out to someone they might want to contact during their time being locked up. Please keep me in prayer as I create these cards truly for the Lord, and that each card is a blessing to anyone that receives it. Thank U, for your prayers in advance!!!

I just had an idear... if you would like to join me in this ministry, and create for these locked up lambs as well, feel free to do so!!! They are open to receiving cards throughout the year. Any type of occasions will do. Just keep in mind a few of these rules:

Do not include candies or goodies
Do not include your full name - if you decide to sign them (keeping your privacy confidential)
No sharp objects

For My Friend's Mama....

Aloha and Welcome to my blog!! Here is a simple but sweet project I made for my friend's mom. It was for her birthday, last year. This is a spiral notebook, which I covered with DSP from Die Cuts with a View, and added pretty ribbons to the spiral rings. Love these simple n' sweet projects. I used my Cricut to cut out her initials, using "Calligraphy Collection" cartridge. The Oval and Oval Scallop layers were also cut out using my Cricut, using "Mini Monograms" cartridge.
