NBA 2K10 is a basketball video game based on the National Basketball Association developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It was released on October 6, 2009 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PSP and on October 12, 2009 on PC. It was released on Wii on November 9, 2009 in North America. It was released in Europe on November 27. Kobe Bryant is the cover athlete of the game. The game is the first PSP and Wii release of the NBA 2K series, and the first on a Nintendo system since NBA 2K7 for the GameCube. The Wii version, while containing version-specific controls and nuances, is a general port of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions - including all the modes (online and offline) of the current-gen iterations. The PSP release is essentially a port of the PS2 version, though lacking online play.

* My Player Mode - Players can create their own basketball player and guide him through his career. Starting as a drafted or undrafted rookie in the Summer Circuit, players will have to work their way up into an NBA team’s training camp, or in the D-League. Again My Player mode feature was not added to PlayStation 2 version of this game.

* Signature Play - New signature player styles, tendencies, dribble packages, dunk packages, facial expressions, and team rituals, such as the Cavaliers photo shoot, LeBron James' chalk toss, Dwyane Wade's pull-ups on rim, Vince Carter kissing the rim while pulling himself up on the net, and Kevin Garnett's fist pump, as well as specialty jerseys. These features are not available on the PlayStation 2 version.

* Reworked Gameplay - New easy-to-use dribbling and post game controls and the new stamina system.

* Deeper Association Mode - The Association Mode now incorporates the NBA Development League, the ability to control all 30 NBA teams at once, restricted free agency, real-time practice, an all-new player progression system, and many other enhancements.

* Intense Defense - New defensive controls that allow players to shadow their opponent's moves, deny position off-ball, and select how they want to contest shots.

* Improved Create-A-Player Mode - Players can now customize their player's facial styles, tattoos, and shoes. Also included are new dunk packages, dribble packages, signature leaners, floaters and post moves. This feature is also not added to version to PlayStation 2.

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron is the third entry in the Star Wars Battlefront series of video games, first released on October 9, 2007 in North America and later in Australia and Europe. The game was designed as a PlayStation Portable (PSP) exclusive and features the eponymous Rebel Alliance covert ops unit Renegade Squadron, previously unmentioned in Star Wars canon. Renegade Squadron was one of the first games available in a bundle pack with the newly released PSP redesign.

The single-player campaign follows the exploits of Renegade Squadron from its inception by Han Solo throughout its operational history, until its dissolution after the Battle of Endor. During play the Renegades participate in several battles, including those of Yavin and Hoth. The game also features several types of multiplayer modes. In contrast with previous titles in the series that require characters to have a set class, players in Renegade Squadron are able to build their character as they see fit.

Renegade Squadron received a mixed reaction from the video gaming community. The game was considered superior to its predecessor (the PSP version of Star Wars: Battlefront II) and it was praised for its customization options and online play, but the single-player campaign was criticized for being brief and shallow. Gameplay:

The overall structure of Renegade Squadron is similar to other games in the Battlefront series in that it is a war game played primarily from a third-person view. Battles take place on the ground and in space and require the player to capture command posts, specific areas of territory represented by floating icons on the playing field and colored dots on the player's heads-up display. Each map has a set number of command posts, and it is beneficial for the player to occupy as many as possible (space battles use a modified command post system). Each side has a set number of reinforcement tickets at the beginning of the battle—any time a soldier dies, that team loses one ticket when that soldier respawns. To win a match, a player must capture every command post or reduce their opponent's ticket count to zero.

At the beginning of each mission, every time the character respawns, and when at a command post, it is possible for the player to adjust their character’s weapons, appearance, and other traits to their liking. The player gets 100 credits to purchase weapons and equipment for their character. In previous games in the series, players chose a character's class before battle from a list of pre-made options, such as pilot or other regular infantry units. Each class had a specific combination of weapons and equipment. Before Renegade Squadron's release, LucasArts stated that the customization engine would allow millions of different character combinations. * Soft Tires: These tires are softer than the normal tires. As such they grip the road better, but must be replaced after every race.

* Qualifying Tires: These tires are even softer than the Soft Tires, but can only be used during qualifying and must be replaced after every race.

* Aero Upgrade: This upgrade allows you to adjust the front and rear downforce of your car, producing different handling aspects. With the GT-90, the acceleration is so high that the downforce can be set to its highest levels without substantially affecting speed on the track.

* Suspension Upgrade: This allows you to adjust certain parameters of your suspension.

* Transmission Upgrade: This allows you to adjust your gear ratios. on cars with high redlines and high top speeds, such as the mustang and GT-90, the gear ratios can be set to the fastest acceleration ratios without affecting top speed substantially.

* Braking Upgrade: This allows you to adjust the balance between front and rear braking force.

* Tuned Engine: This engine has more horse power than the stock engine.

* Racing Engine: This engine has even more power than the Tuned Engine. The Tuned Engine must be purchased first.

* Qualifying Engine: This engine has even more power than the Racing Engine, but can only be used during qualifying and must be rebuilt after every race. The Racing Engine must be purchased first.

* Weight Reduction Stage 1: Reduces the weight of the car.

Wipeout Pulse is broadly similar to other games in the Wipeout franchise, and indeed to other racing games as a whole. The player drives futuristic hovering vehicles powered on a series of race tracks which they must navigate, and sometimes other vehicles to compete against. They are aided in this endeavor by the traditional Wipeout arsenal of weaponry (including rockets, missiles, plasma bolts, etc) and bursts of speed, both of which are gained by driving over special pads on the track; they are also allowed to choose between a number of different vehicles, each with their own handling characteristics. The game features electronic music and extraordinary visual and graphic design, two hallmarks of the Wipeout franchise; it also features downloadable content from the PlayStation Network, each containing a new vehicle and two new tracks, though four have been released in Europe and are not yet available elsewhere in the world.

Pulse delivers a number of new variations on this basic formula: while the game only ships with 12 tracks, these can be driven both forward and backwards; the race's direction is marked by the suffix "White" or "Black" on the race's title (i.e. "Talon's Junction White") and may show subtle variations depending on which way they are driven. Certain circuits also have "Mag-Strips" on some portion of the track, which lock the player's vehicle onto the track and allow for roller coaster-esque loops, sideways U turns, waterfall-like sheer drops, and so on. It also completely revamps the standard method of game progression. Most racing games (F-Zero, Mario Kart, Gran Turismo) present the player with a series of "cups" in which they must come in first while racing against opposition. Pulse players are instead challenged to complete "grids," a cluster of hexagons which represent a wide variety of tracks and race types: time trials; seven-lap "Best Lap" races in which the player attempts to achieve a particular lap time; single races against one opponent ("Head-to-Head" mode); single races against seven opponents ("Single Race"); multiple-track Tournaments (the cups of other games); "Eliminator" matches returning from Wipeout 3; and the "Zone" mode from Wipeout Fusion, in which the player attempts to survive as long as possible in a vehicle whose speed is slowly but infinitely accelerating. Players can race against the computer, against other human players within range of the PSP's built-in wireless card ("Ad-Hoc" mode), and over the Internet via a wireless network.

The game features a number of extras. Players can take screenshots of in-progress races at any time from the Pause menu. Players are rewarded for using the same team's vehicle over and over via the Loyalty system which unlocks new vehicle skins. Players are able to create custom skins for any vehicle at the game's central website using a Adobe Shockwave-based client, which can be downloaded to the PSP by the creator and/or the public at large. Gameplay:

The core gameplay of Warriors Orochi 2 follows the same premise as its predecessor; three warriors are selected and can be switched at will. However, this sequel introduces additional new concepts:

* Team assists: When the primary character is attacked, one of the standby characters will appear and assist the player. The assist attacks and effects depend on the class of the character (Power, Speed, Technique).

* Strategies When the player fulfills a certain requirement like defeating a certain amount of officers or enemies, a special strategy will be activated and are beneficial to allies.

* Triple attacks: When the ability is triggered, the two standby characters will appear and, together with the primary character, unleash a triple Musou attack. These are some combinations of characters that have a special triple Musou attack unique to the team.

Among the classes included for the various characters in The Rise of Cobra include Commando who do well at close range, Heavy Weapons who possess extraordinary shooting skills but do it best from a distance and Soldier who are a balance between the two .[3] The classic "Yo Joe!" battle cry is in the game, being used as an invulnerability power-up when the G.I. James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is a 2009 third-person action video game prequel to James Cameron's film of the same name. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Nintendo DS on December 1, 2009, with a PSP version released later on December 8, 2009. It was announced by Ubisoft that it would be using the same technology as the film to be displayed in stereoscopic 3D. Gameplay:

As a Soldier, the player is equipped with firearms such as assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers. The soldier generally have to eliminate the enemies, which are fast and resilient and usually charging towards the player, from afar. Playing as an Avatar limits the player to only one Avatar-issued machine gun and various primitive weapons such as bows, crossbows and melee weapons. The Avatar player usually has to charge the enemies since ranged weapon are either weak (the machine gun), have slow rate of fire (bows and crossbows), or have limited ammunition; however, the human enemies are generally weak and the basic foot soldiers can die in one hit. The environment also reacts differently to the character: many plants will attack the soldier, while the Avatar can walk past said plants unharmed. A variety of vehicles or mounts are also available to each race.

If the player's health is reduced to 0, s/he can use a Recovery that instantly recovers to full health. Recoveries can be acquired by gathering cell samples left behind by killed creatures (including Humans or Na'vi) or plants, but only 5 Recoveries can be carried at any one time. Avatar players can collect Cell Samples more easily from many plants without having to "kill" them. If the player falls to his death, however, he cannot use Recoveries and have to reload from a check point which is automatically saved. The game offers no way to manually save when playing the game (it is only saved when player reach certain points, completed an objective, or quit the game). A special case involves a separate checkpoint when the user decides which race to side with, which cannot be overwritten.

As the player completes mission objectives or eliminates opposition, the character gains experience points and levels up. The leveling up process is quite linear, with no way to customize the character. Each level rewards the character with better version of the weapon, armor and skills she/he already has. The character can have only 1 armor, 4 skills and 4 weapons equipped into quick slot at any one time. The skills can be offensive (boost damage, summon air strikes / wild life), defensive (boost damage resistance, heal) or of general purpose (boost speed, invisibility).

Experience points is also converted to credits that is used in the Conquer minigame. It is a Risk-style strategy game in which the player captures territories from enemies. Credits is used to buy troops (which has 3 types: infantry, heavy ground unit and air unit), defenses or limited special attacks. Some territores captured reward player with passive enhancements such as damage boost, critical chance, armor, health to use in the main game, as long as they are in the player's possession. Overview:

The game's plot sees a terrorist cell dubbed Black Falcon planejacking 13 prototype fighter jets dubbed "Assassin" from the CIA. Players will be tasked with making the skies friendly again by screeching through the skies in an assortment of 19 originally designed planes, including the F-14D Tomcat, the F-22 Raptor and the F-15E Strike Eagle. Each of the planes can be customized with a variety of weapons, items and custom paint jobs.

Harrison "Bull" Duke A marine pilot for the USMC. A very talented pilot with a sarcastic personality, Bull intends to quit the Marines soon and work for the private sector. His sole reason for helping the hunt for Black Falcon is to gain money and fame which will help his mercenary career in the future. He pilots a F/A-18E Super Hornet.

Tomiko "Shinsei" Rossellini A female United States Navy pilot who is obsessed with perfection. Her mother was Japanese while her father was a talented pilot for the US Navy who was stationed in Kadena Naval Air Base in Okinawa. She grew up watching Navy planes which also motivated her to be a pilot as well. Her reason for accepting the mission is to prove to everyone that she is the only candidate to be the squadron leader. There are 11 planes available, which can be customized. Performance upgrades can increase the speed, agility, or power. Visual upgrades can add flags or other symbols to almost any part of the plane.

In Race Mode, the player races seven enemy planes to try to score third place or higher. Pick ups are available, such as rocket cluster, anti gravity mines, homing missile, machpower, and stealth. Guns are disabled in race mode. In Dogfight Mode the player fights seven enemy planes, attempting to keep the highest kill rate until the competition is finished. Guns are unlimited but do overheat.

Multiplayer options include a head-to-head dogfight or a race. A game sharing feature allows multiple people to play with only one copy of the game.

Features:

The new base of operations is Yukumo Village. This village has a feudal Japanese feel to it, both from its design to its residents. When you take Felynes out on a quests, monster attacks are divided between the player and the companions, making hunts easier. Also new to Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is the ability to customize the Felyne companions' equipment. Doing so will change the creature's physical appearance and properties. The player will be able to customize the Felynes in three areas: weapon, head parts and torso parts. A new field introduced in the game is Keiryu, or Mountain Stream. All the fields in Monster Hunter Tri, along with the addition of the Mountain Stream field are expected to be included in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. However there will be no under water levels and certain stages are edited to compensate for this. Players can play as Iron Man or War Machine, each with their own unique play style. While Iron Man is more sleek and relies much more on energy weapons, War Machine is outfitted with heavier weaponry and tougher armor. Iron Man can choose from multiple suits of armor, including Marks 2 through Mark 6. Players can customize upgrades and weaponry on the armor. Flight control has been improved, as well as melee combat, allowing players to get near to the ground. Artificial Intelligence also was updated from the previous title. The weapons can be switched during gameplay. In the Wii/PSP version, simplified graphics, different combat systems (not using melee during midair) and different missions are added, but sticks to the story of the game. Flying across levels were removed, instead letting Iron Man hover or walk across the level. The POV was also changed. Gameplay:

Tekken 6 features bigger stages with more interactivity than its predecessors, such as walls or floors that can be broken to reveal new fighting areas. The character customization feature has been enhanced, and certain items have implications in some aspects of gameplay.

A new "rage" system has been added, giving characters more damage per hit when their vitality is below a certain point. Once activated, a reddish energy aura appears around the character, and their health bar starts to flicker in red. The rage aura can be customized with different colors and effects to appear like fire, electricity, ice, among others. Another gameplay feature added is the "bound" system. Every character has several moves that, when used on an opponent that is currently midair in a juggle combo, will cause the opponent to be smashed hard into the ground, bouncing them off the floor in a stunned state and leaving them vulnerable to another combo or additional attack.

The console versions (excluding the PSP version) also include an extra mode entitled "Scenario Campaign" which bears similarities with the "Tekken Force" and "Devil Within" modes from previous installments. In this mode, the player can move freely in an environment similar to that of a third-person role-playing game. Players can also pick up weapons such as poles and gatling guns, along with lootable items, money, and power-ups which can be found inside crates that are scattered all throughout the playing environment. Players can move freely between fights, but when a group of enemies are encountered, the gameplay switches to the traditional, two-dimensional Tekken style. This mode originally only had single player offline. Namco released a patch on January 18, 2010 that allows Co-Op Mode for Scenario Campaign.

Both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game include an online versus multiplayer mode over PlayStation Network and Xbox Live respectively.

The game features gameplay similar to previous installments in the series. It is a third-person action adventure game, where the player controls Kratos, containing quick time events, box-based puzzles and boss fights. The game features new weapons, magical powers and navigational abilities not present in previous games, and has been cited as featuring 25 percent more gameplay than its PSP predecessor Chains of Olympus.

Gameplay

Kratos' arsenal includes the "Blades of Athena" and the "Arms of Sparta" (a spear and shield). Kratos also gains the ability "Thera's Bane" (infuses the Blades of Athena with fire) and in this game acts as the "Rage" feature. As with the Items used in God of War III, this ability automatically replenishes itself. Both Arms of Sparta and Thera's Bane are used to overcome environmental obstacles.

The combat system has been updated to allow Kratos to "pummel enemies to the ground as well as throw them", and perform air-to-air attacks. An "augmented death system" is also being used.

Magical abilities include the "Eye of Atlantis", "Scourge of Erinys", and the "Horn of Boreas". The relic "Poseidon's Trident" is retained (God of War).

As with previous games, chests found throughout the game contain orbs and are marked with a corresponding color for the orbs (green, blue, and red). Green Orbs replenish health, blue orbs replenish magic and red orbs provide experience, which in turn allows the upgrading of magical abilities and weapons.

Health and Magic upgrades—Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers respectively—reappear and can be found in chests, with five items needed for an upgrade. Minotaur Horns also reappear (from God of War III) and upgrade the Fire meter for Thera's Bane.

As with previous installments, a challenge mode ("Challenge of the Gods": five "Challenges of Ares" and another eight "Challenges of Athena" that can be unlocked) is included. Another mode has been added ("The Temple of Zeus") and allows players to sacrifice collected red orbs (both in-game and Challenge) to unlock additional features, such as the "Challenges of Athena", costumes and bonus videos.
