New Style ideas: Style Icons Denise Huxtable and Eri Tsukimoto

2013-01-09T14:53:00.002-08:00

Considering implementing different colors, not different shades, to my all black on black wardrobe and a new year comes new trends, but trends are so boring! Why not just a style based on every day lifestyle?

After a week of pure sinfull pleassure (just being lazy) I saw i needed a more laid back but still chic style.

And that's how Denis Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) became my muse

And how can I forget my girl crush, Eri Tsukimoto. I've been following this babe's style for years and it's japan's streets meet london Punk (i'm sorry i still havent found the right way to describe her) but she's simply Eri.

Childhood dreams

2012-12-12T13:21:00.003-08:00

when i was a little kid all i ever wanted to be was a waitress

Because in my eyes they made people happy.

When you see food coming your way you get this rush flowing through your face

a sense of excitement.

And once the food has reached the table you are content and everything seems to disappear.

As a kid it was waitresses that made this happen.

We rarely went out to eat

we couldn't really afford it

so every time we did go out

it was a special occasion

and everything about eating out was so magical.

Now i almost take eating out for granted

it's almost become the norm

but that feeling of having your food served to you

is still the same

see food coming your way you
get this rush flowing through your face
a sense of excitement.

And once the food has reached the table you are content and everything seems to disappear.

What happens at the end of the day
when there is no one to confide in?

Some days even I can't stand myself
and if I can't who will. . .

I'm not someone who's easy to understand
(but who is? really)
but I've always believed
that as long as you understand yourself
everything will be ok

But lately I no longer know
why
i do what i do
why
i say what i say
why
i act this way
why i think thoughts that bring me down

I take the little things and praise them
blow them up to find happiness in them
the little things are the only things I have

but at the end of the day
it's not enough

always extremes
when I'm happy it's at the highest
and when im sad, it's at the lowest

there's no in between
never
and if there is, its a state of numbness
an awful state where I'm not happy
and im not sad
but confused

I call it "the medi-state"
so confused with who i am
what i am
what i do
what i say
what i think
that there is no place for sadness
and no place for happiness

a state of self doubt
where I don't hate or love self
but question.
question everything
and try to form answers and theories
but non make sense

I wish someone could explain my self to
myself

Daydreaming

2012-12-02T22:27:00.001-08:00

In a recent Job interview I was asked
"how often do you find yourself day dreaming?"
But how do you answer a question like that?
How often?

So often...
so often .... I don't recall a moment when I wasn't
I day dream of at least 5 different things a day
sometimes childish daydreams
magical encounters
sometimes absurd daydreams

Sometimes a daydream becomes how i wished my day had gone
nothing special

I spend so much time daydreaming
it's got me thinking,
what if i Stopped?
what could i accomplish?

But i don't want to stop
im afraid to stop
the past days
weeks
months
have been so hard
I can barely keep myself composed
all i have are my dreams
without them I don't know who i am
they are an extension of me.

My dreams can't be shared
they're my own private island
where only I am aloud
If someone came in to my dreams
they would no longer be mine
I would no longer be me

Suffering people part III

2012-12-02T22:18:00.001-08:00

There was a part I
There was a part II

it is time for a part III
or maybe a II.2

The more you try to understand something the more confused you become.
When you answer one question, more seem to be created.
There's never one answer to why people are sad, not suffering, I think that was poor use of words.

To think that one person can't, or shouldn't, be sad because of any reason is cruel.
Everyone has the right to feel sadness.
Recently I read a study between different states of sadness, Being Depressed & depressed thinking

"depression” are withdrawal from and loss the loss of interest in job, family, social activities and personal hobbies. "Depressed thinking" is said to be pessimistic, critical of others and oneself and tends toward guilty ruminations and suicidal thoughts."

-Stephen Gislason MD

But this post isn't about depression, it's about the beauty behind sadness and depression.

It's absurd to me when people don't use their sadness

The saying goes

"when life gives you lemons

make lemonade"

How many musicians, painters, and writers, have created masterpieces when they were at the lowest n their lives?

What are you doing with your sadness?
