The Basic Social Networking Tools

Digg: Create a news niche by uploading information that’s useful to you and to others who want your information. This is a great place to find like-minded individuals who are interested in your information.
Facebook: Not just for kids, this tool can help you create ‘Pages’ that relate to your business where you gather ‘fans’ like ‘followers’ on Twitter.
Flickr: Share photos of your products or services, staff, convention photos and get-togethers to show that you’re a pro and that you like to have fun as well.

創業第二章 - 資金 - 創投 Y Combinator 介紹

Y Combinator（簡稱 YC）是一家位於矽谷的創投 VC（Venture Capital），有別於其他大型創投，他們投資的標的為剛起步的新創公司（startup），為這些草創的團隊提供種子資金（Seed），扶植網路應用服務的創業。

Y Combinator 到底做什麼呢？

簡單來說，他們是媒婆，就是提供創業初期的資金援助（Seed Funder），協助創業者度過最艱困的階段，然後 YC 會幫忙介紹其他的金主，讓創業者募集資金。

YC 的網站開宗明義表示，每個團隊他們投資的金額並不多（通常在 USD 2 萬以下），其實很多微型創業的公司，自有資金可能都超過這個數字了。所以這個資金只是一個補助（但 YC 要求持有 2~10% 的股份），他們真正想做的是參與你的創業過程，幫助創業者檢視Idea、修正方向，提供一個類似創業顧問的服務。

再者 YC 還指導創業者，如何面對投資人、併購者與其他創投；此外還提供智慧財產權及法律問題的諮詢，他們會幫你負擔這部分的律師諮詢費用，幫助你捍衛權益。

如何取得 Y Combinator 的資金及援助？

每年 YC 都會舉辦兩次的徵選活動（Match），分別為每年的 1 至 3 月與 6 至 8 月。
想參加 Match 不需要繳交 Business Plan 或 Presentation，你只要填寫他們的申請表。
YC 會挑選出一些他們覺得不錯的團隊，邀請你過去面談。
面談過後，如果覺得適合，他們會馬上做出決定，給予入場門票及資金協助
（兩萬美金以內, 這費用補貼你在灣區三個月的生活費用）。

一旦被選中後，YC 會希望你暫時去灣區（Bay Area）住一陣子參加徵選活動（Match），這段時間（10週）他們會舉辦很多的餐會，引見投資者、創投、媒體、律師及會計師給你，讓你得到這些人脈資源，希望創業者在這段期間內找到天使投資者（Angel）。

這個模式，很像在舉辦 Job affair，把求職者（創業者）跟僱主 / HR（投資者）聚集起來，自己想辦法去 social，尋求機會，以集團式作戰的方式，總會有新創公司找到金主甚至得到被併購的機會。YC 稱這種方式為 Boot Camp（新訓中心 / 培訓營）

摘要並非是引言或介紹，而是一整個Business Plan的縮影，將整份文件濃縮成摘要，長度以2頁為最佳，最多不超過5頁。

摘要應該：

清楚表達
邏輯明確
具吸引力 (有趣)

寫摘要目標是，當讀者看完摘要時，就可以很清楚知道：

你是誰
想做什麼
市場狀況及策略
你需要多少的資金

因此在一份摘要中，建議包含以下內容：

公司、產品概念的描述
機會與策略
目標市場
競爭優勢
財務計畫與預估的獲利能力
核心團隊介紹

1. 為何要撰寫營運計畫書 (Business Plan, BP)?

基本目的：

需要創業資金
尋求策略合作的機會
向潛在投資者解釋Business model
吸引關鍵的資金決策者 (Key men)

一份完整的營運計畫書也可以協助創業者聚焦

確立商業模型 (Business model)
誰是目標客群 (Customers)
為何他們要購買你的產品、服務 (Why to buy)
付款與交付的流程 (How to pay and deliver)
創業所需的資源，包含人、技術、資金等 (Resources)
是否可以創造價值 (Money, Value)

同時，創業者可以利用撰寫的過程，不斷的重複審視目標與機會，具體化營運流程，這是一個規劃的過程。

2. 營運計畫書應具備的基本要素 (Basics)

在撰寫之前，先要有一個基本認知，BP是一份行銷文件，而行銷的商品是你的創意、你的公司。
所以BP也可以說是一個新創公司 (Startup) 的履歷 (Resume)，故事要生動吸引人，方向要明確清楚，有了基本的認知後，就可以開始發想。

1. 基礎支柱：

願景 (Vision) - 公司到底要做啥？
形象 (Image) - 如何吸引別人？
策略發展 (Strategy) - 怎麼做？

2. 封面 (Cover Page)：包含公司名稱與聯絡方式、版本編號、法律宣告等。
3. 目錄：記得包含頁碼
4. 基本大綱：

摘要 (Executive Summary) - 整份BP的縮影，2-5頁為原則
公司及產品、服務描述 (Company and Products)
市場分析、調查 (Market Research/Analysis)
行銷計畫 (Marketing Plan)
研發計畫 (Design and Development Plan)
生產營運計畫 (Manufacturing and Operations Plan)
團隊介紹 (Management Team)
時程 (Schedule)
風險評估 (Risks Evaluation)
財務計畫 (The Financial Plan)
附錄 (Appendices)

應該是颱風快要來了，悶熱的天氣，加上昨天睡眠不足，精神一整個不好。

只拍了一些朋友間的照片，相信公開的會場照片應該在網路上都可以搜尋到。

雖然昏昏沉沉的，不過還是速記一下吧。

今年進場有採用一個電子報到機，果然有比較科技一點

早上：英文場次

網路公仔：有點像 second life，你可以在網路上選擇一個公仔代表你，可與他人互動，並運用硬體裝置，增添服務趣味。

VR Walker：Google 車的個人版。使用者可分享一段影片，並標明地點來進行分享。

Armorize HackAlert：名稱應該已經很響亮了。看報導最近又獲得新募資。

不過個人覺得，對一般使用者來說，資訊安全的服務很難理解。即使電腦出現警訊通知，仍不知道該如何解決吧？舉例來說，我家失火了，不是要用簡訊通知我，而是應該是要幫我報警吧。

YouVivid：線上版的簡易影音編輯軟體，可製作個人版的MV。上傳你的影片或是照片後，可後製一些效果或過場動畫，分享給你的好友。

Gogrok：結合遠端桌面(Remote desktop)、網路會議(Net meeting)、協同工作(Collaboration)的軟體，頗有名氣。對一些企業協助或是異地工作應該很有幫助。跟影音整合度雖然沒有像昂貴的WebEx或其他商用平台那樣完整，但使用上相當方便。BTW 我個人目前使用是 Skype + Team viewer。

Special Deal (HHOTT)：標榜 special deals，模式是一般使用者可以訂閱喜歡的商家，而廠商可以藉由系統後台發送優惠訊息。可選擇要發佈的Channel ，如 facebook / twiiter 等。

這個模式蠻實用的，也跟 craig 最近很想做的服務非常像。他想做幫中小企業發送優惠訊息至社群網路。說個跟這個服務無關的題外話。我覺得未來商家進入社群網路後，會演變成一種獨特的 spam，也就是 craig 說的 social spam。

因為人際型社群網路本來就是尋求朋友情感的交流，對廣告的敏感度不高，人們看到廣告很容易自動避開或忽略。不像目的性社群網路，如電玩，彩妝，旅遊等特定主題，如果配合一點優惠或新奇消息很容易達到廣告效果，接受度很高。

MyOwnRealEstate：線上管理你的不動產。已經很紅很成熟了。現在回台攻佔市場。今天是由CTO 為我們介紹，整個人感覺很穩很專業，又很有熱情。

Whiich：民宿黃頁平台，我覺得 present 的很好，果然是外商公司出來的。

Richi：這篇Blog有解釋

CyWee Q：IPTV 數位內容平台。CyWee 已經非常紅了，不過他們這次是用一個類似 media center 的機器，家庭數位中心的概念。但是是利用 CyWee 來控制。

Frienditude：線上的手機通訊錄。

我個人覺得還不錯，蠻有潛力的。

幾位創辦人很有熱情。雖然 present 時個人風格過於強烈，導致失焦。不過後來去攤位瞭解後，感覺不錯。

贊助商工商時間

台灣微軟：檔案同步化至機器。例如你手機拍了一張照片可選擇要同步至那些機器，即使沒開機，也會等到連上線後再送過去。與家人朋友分享。也是服務裝置化的特殊應用。

手寫塗鴉 AV 即時通：利用 smartphone 上安裝軟體，通話時可標示雙方地點，傳遞畫面來輔助溝通。應該是今日 present 最好的。有創意又不冷場。

Hinet Xuite 隨意遊：旅遊景點 Wiki

華語文：chinese plaza。用 3D 虛擬實境學中文。

Hinet KOD：iSing 99 有網路的地方 + 點歌機就可以唱歌啦

總結心得：（走了很大一圈，終於找到一家咖啡廳跟 craig 聊聊）

網路服務生存的門檻越來越高，已經不能再是車庫創業了，一定要去尋找很多資源。
大家都愛 LBS （Location Base Service）和裝置服務化，很多服務都喜歡跟硬體硬扯上關係。或是強調 iPhone 的運用。可能是因為台灣硬體產業太成功，所以比較喜歡軟中帶硬。
用手走路的服務不少，連 asobee 也都算。
看人家作，或是批評人家是很簡單的，自己下去做很容易有盲點或是變成用手走路。一定要保持清醒與設定好目標。
運氣要好。今天我看很多服務的團隊其實很堅強，就差了點運氣，替他們加油，也替台灣整個網路產業加油。
