Short Trip to Belitong #2

Second day! At this morning, you can have a jogging and visit the beach to watch the sun rise. That's really beautiful. After that, maybe you want to go to the local market, fresh fish and all of sea creatures can be found here, vegetables also available but since its main commodity from the sea so there will be much fish, squids, etc. You can get a very cheap price for this seafood if you buy it directly from the fisherman, and lucky me, I have this friend that introduced me to one of the fisherman there, I got 2kgs squids for a cheap price! Wow, seafood party tonight!

All right, enough with local market, remember with our main purpose here, beach! So, today, we will go to one of the famous beach here, because the scenery is really beautiful and it also where one of popular Indonesian movie took place for shooting, it's called Tanjung Tinggi. My friend told that sometimes the ocean will be very quiet, not much high waves, and that's perfect for swimming. The sands were really white and wow! You know, I was really lucky that day, why? Because there were not much people visited at that time, maybe because it's not vacation time, so it's like a private beach to me. Unfortunately, I didn't bring any spare clothes with me, so I didn't swim that day. Today will just be a tour to visit beaches, just visit. Here is a picture of Tanjung Tinggi.

We spend much time here to take some (many, actually) photographs, a chance for me to enhance my photography skills. A few good picture successfully taken by me, yeah! Okay, enough, let's go the next beach!

Another thing that you should know about Belitung is, there were not much traffic, it means you will not face a traffic jam! How cool is that! You can speed up your vehicle to the limit, but still you have to careful 'cause someone may pass the road! It didn't take a long time from Tanjung Tinggi to the next beach. 20 minutes to 30 minutes, maybe less, I didn't count. Same as previous, there were not much people here, or maybe no one else except us. There were some fisherman's ship, but I didn't see anyone. Again, there I just took some pictures and felt the wind, heard the waves crushing white sands. So relaxing.

I went back to the hotel at 4 PM, enough for the beach, let's explore the night market (?) tonight!

50/50

Again, it's too late for me to write this, but, it's never too late to write your feelings, right? I hope so.

So, have you heard 50/50. yet? Well, it's a movie that really moving you, not moving from one place to another but the other moving, you know what I mean. The movie is about Adam Lerner who just had a cancer. And tells how his life changed. If you think that this movie must be really sad then you were wrong, it's actually, somehow entertaining. How Adam react when he knew the disease, and when he told his friend, his girlfriend and finally his parent. I must say Joseph Gordon-Levitt really played his role perfectly, and Seth Rogen as his friend, Kyle, really a nice partner. If I'm not mistaken, Gordon-Levitt did really shaved his hair, but I don't know if he really shave all of his hair or not. This means he really into the character that he played and you can see it, how he acted as a man that his life is threaten by a cancer. You could see here how Adam live through his disease, and how Kyle use his friend's illness to get a woman, also the relationship that happened between Adam and his therapist, Katie McCay (Anna Kendrick) was interesting. This is not a 'hard' movie to watch, the dialogue, meaning and all that stuffs are easy to understand, it doesn't require you to think too much like a detective movie, but still it has a lot of meaning.

The climax of the movie served perfectly, and ended peacefully.

Despite all the things like drinking, smoking, etc, I think this movie has some message that we can learn. You should watch this movie to get the idea, and this is one of the movie I really recommend you to watch.

Shrelock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Hello...

I just watched this movie a couple days ago, and now I would like to share some thing (like a review as usual) to you if you haven't watch it yet.

First of all, I want to ask, have you watched the first movie yet? Well, I think you should watch it before go on, but if you don't have time I think it's okay if you watch the second and then go back to the first, sometimes I did that when I read books with many sequel, lol.

Now, to the movie. Truthfully, I'm a little bit confused in the beginning, because I couldn't relate one scene to another, what's the point, and why. I don't know if this happen to the other or not, but if you can think well I'm sure you can follow it. Thankfully, as the movie goes on, I understand about what happened in the beginning. So, if you thought you had low brain's engine to process information, don't worry to be not able to follow, because you will understand it later.

The action scenes are good, like when Holmes used his analytical (?) thinking to fight, what will happen next; what moves he should use; etc that's awesome, and the boom-boom scenes also great. They have a lot of bombs in this movie, because they have a bomb maker. Another thing that makes me fun is, dance! We will see gypsies here and their music, even it's just a short time but I love the music, Hans Zimmer really know how to make good scores, you will hear his creation along the movie.

The twist; the secret, that revealed along the movie or at the end was also exciting! There was one scene where I really fascinated, the slow motion and all of the effects was absolutely stunning!

Overall, it's worth for you to watch this movie, and if you have watched the first movie, it's a good thing to follow the next. Watch it and judge it by yourself.

Short Trip to Belitong #1

Happy holiday everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (not yet)...

Have you decide where to spend your holiday? Not yet? Well, have you ever been to Belitung before, or at least Indonesia? You should try to go here for a couple of days and spend you holiday! In Indonesia we have many places to visit , and one of them is Belitung Island also known as Belitong. Belitung have so many beautiful beaches, and I really love them, why? Because you can really enjoy it, it's like your own beach! In other word, not so many tourists known this beaches, but I expect it will be known soon.

To get to Belitong you can use airplane or a ship. But, since I only knew the airplane trip, then I will only tell you this. Last time I went to Belitong, there was only two airplane companies that have flights to there and it's only from International Airport Soekarno-Hatta (CJK). The airport in Belitung is Tanjung Pandan (TJQ). It's only 1 hour (even less) of flight from CJK. You may want to reserve your seat first from their website, yoou can check Batavia Air or Sriwijaya Air. Batavia Air is the cheapest one, but you have to know that sometimes (or usually) they might have to delay your flight for 1 or 2 hours. Sriwijaya Air is the expensive one, but if you lucky you can get promo ticket, not much different with the other air company. Expensive but almost always on time.

As you arrived at Tanjung Pandan, you just need to wait your baggage and go out. As far as I knew, there was no public transportation yet there, so you have to rent a car. To get to the city it's just 30-45 minutes drive from airport. There's a few hotel you can chose, but I recommend Sarila Hotel, the place is nice and it's near the heart of the city where you can buy things, and near the beach! Just walk down and you'll find Tanjung Pendam beach. If you take flight in the morning, you'll arrive at afternoon, you have time to explore the city and go to Tanjung Pendam beach. Here is some photos I took when I went there, not really good pictures :(

So, after playing with the beach you can go walk again to the hotel while seeing many stuff in the evening. There will be many food seller along the street, you may want to try some.

Next day, get ready for another beaches!

Trip to France Part #2

I really enjoyed the flight, somehow you had a larger space but actually it doesn't. That's what makes you feel comfort riding the Airbus. We got a lot of meals, as I said before, and really nice too.
Finally we arrived at Aéroport Paris-Charles de Gaulle also known as Roissy Airport, and CDG is the airport code. I don't want to leave this Airbus A380, it's so comfort here. But, the journey awaits me outside.

At first look, the airport interior in my opinion is adequate, and after you look around the airport is great, big as usual. We have to pass the immigration first here, and one thing I noticed, why is every immigration officer that I had met in Japan, Indonesia, or France never give a smile, even a short, little smile. Is it just me or is it the rule? 'Never give a smile to every single passenger.'

Forget the immigration, it's time to take the baggage. Oh, I need a trolley. After everyone in the group got their baggage, we headed out. While heading out, I saw two passengers being checked by some officers, they opened the baggage and identifying every item in baggage, shorts, T-shirt, etc. And I remembered that several days ago we had some meeting about this study trip, the travel agent encourage us to not bring any fake-brand, like bags, shirts, pants, etc. because France really appreciate the originality of copyrighted items. I think it's not always happen, if you're lucky you got passed, because me and everyone else didn't get checked by officer, we just walk and pass. *sigh*
Here it is, for the first time I feel the breeze of Paris, so cool but really fresh! We rode a bus that will take us to Chalon-sur-Saone, it's 3 hours driving, another long trip. We stopped at some place, I didn't know what it is, but it seems like a place where we can rest after long driving. After rest a little bit, we continued again. The road here, it seems quiet, and if I'm not mistaken the bus were at 100km/hour speed, but it's really smooth. Unlike in my country :p.
I fell a sleep during the rest of the trip. When I awake, we already arrived at the destination, Chalon-sur-Saone. For a couple of days, we stayed at a motel. It was already dinner time, so we eat first then we can go to our room. Here it is, my first dinner in France, it seems like I have to adapt with this manner where there is appetizer, main course, and desert. The main course for today's dinner is steak! One of my favorite,and I'm still hungry, I want to eat more....T_T
Dinner finished. We all go back to our own room, one room occupied with two persons. First thing to do is, bath! Oh, I don't know if this is common or not, but the bathroom door didn't have lock! You can feel the anxiety when you are taking a bath or doing your thing (you know what I mean? poop!) without locking the door. Enough for bathroom time, now I need a proper sleep. Recharge energy for tomorrow.

Music review!

On November 30, 2011, 2PM a Korean boyband group released their first Full Japanese album.

Congratulation! lol. The album released in 3 different types, but the different is just the bonus you'll get. For type A you will get a DVD and a CD, the DVD will contain live footage from the "1st Contact in Japan" concert performed at Ryogoku Kokugikan on 2010.12.8 as well as a documentary movie on their Japan arrival, you'll also get the Ryogoku Kokugikan concert photobook. The CD will contain 12 songs.

In type B, you'll also get a DVD and a CD, but the DVD contain filming of album concept, and music videos for 'Take Off', 'I'm Your Man', 'Ultra Lover', and 'Hands Up Japan ver.'. You'll get a photobook too, but it's album concept photobook. The CD contain the same.

The last but not least, is type C a.k.a regular type, you'll only get a CD.

Overall, it's all worth to buy. But you have to take note that the DVD have a Region Code 2.

Now, for the songs, from what I've heard the original Japanese songs, exclude the translated one like 'Without You Japanese Ver.', they are all actually good. I like really like '100日記念日' You have to hear it by yourself! 'Hands Up Japanese ver.' is also interesting because I think they changed some lyric so it fits with the rhythm and another lyric. There is a thing that bothering me, it's the album concept, it's actually interesting and unique, but I think it's not related to the songs? Well, I don't know, but maybe someone can explain to me how it related?

In conclusion, if you really interested with the songs, you should buy the album! Support the artist!

Friends with Benefits

Well, I know it's really too late to write a review for this movie, but since I really like this movie I will go all the way.

So, Friends with Benefit starred Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, I don't know how to say it but...oh my GOD they're really perfect together, you can feel the chemistry between them and that is 'Wow'. From what I see, they played their character really well. First, Timberlake as Dylan, a guy from LA discover New York for the first time. Is it so different between LA and New York? Well, if that's the fact then Timberlake played the characteristic of Dylan really well, how he amazed and confused when he saw NY's lifestyle. Second, Mila Kunis as Jamie, a headhunter. It is really funny when she interact with Timberlake as Dylan, it flows just like that, smooth if I may say. How she convince Dylan to take the job also amazing, I mean how Kunis played her role.

The story going complicated around the middle, and how the conflict made was great, I don't know how to express it because my lack of vocab, I just can say it flows smoothly, and didn't make it awkward.

Well, you have to watch it by yourself and make your judgement, all I can say is that in my opinion this movie is worth to watch!

Watch it on DVD or Blu-ray Disc, it was released on December 2, 2011.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Finally, the time for the fans of Twilight Saga has come, Breaking Dawn Part 1 released on November 18, 2011. The story continues where Edward and Bella made their commitment in a marriage. One by one, problems come to this newly bride.

In my opinion as a movies-watcher, the film flows as it should, like the novel did. Even tough there is some scene that did not come in the movie, it still holds the core of the novel. I realize that this film has brought several controversies even before it was released. Though, this movie has satisfied me with it contents. Not much actions, good dialouge, and the film flows fast. Oh! the soundtracks, it's just beautiful! I really like them, it really match with all the scenes.

Overall, I like this movie so much, despite all the negative reviews from the other. Well, it's all coming back to you, people may have different taste, so what's good to me may be not good to you. Don't just read the reviews, watch and judge it by yourself!

Girls' Generation 3rd Album, 'The Boys'

A Total of 12 Songs are Contained Including the Title Song, ‘The Boys,’ and Sooyoung’s the first self-written song, ‘How great is your love’! Girls’ Generation’s new song ‘The Boys’ is written, composed and arranged by one of the world’s three producers, Teddy Riley. Teddy Riley is a world's producer, he was Michael Jackson's producer. And surprisingly, Teddy Riley stated in his twitter that SNSD's Tiffany also have contribute in making 'The Boys'. The album contain various genres of music like 'How Great is Your Love' (봄날) is a a bright R&B ballad, cheerful synth pop ‘Telepathy', fun and retro pop track ‘Say Yes’ and a cheerful song ‘Vitamin', it is enough to fascinate global music fans.

Girls’ Generation is back!

After a long time, finally Girls’ Generation will release their 3^rd Album, “The Boys”. This album has gained so much attention from SONE and everyone else, it’s showed at how much people that watched the teaser of ‘The Boys’ music video on youtube. This new album had a new concept, different than any other album they had released before. Firstly we got the teaser picture of each member of Girls’ Generation with their very own dress. Following the pictures, SME released a teaser image on youtube, showing every member with their lovely dress. Then finally ‘The Boys’ music video teaser released through SMTOWN account on youtube. Within a day of it’s release, there are already over one million of people watched the teaser, what causing this? It’s because this come back is really special, Girls’ Generation will make their debut in U.S., yes, they’re going to spread their wings by releasing a single song, ‘The Boys’ English version. The album and music video will be released on October 19^th, 2011.

Hello Ghost

Hello Everyone! Now, I want to give some review about the film that I just watched. Hello Ghost. It’s a South Korean comedy film, starring Cha Tae Hyeon, Kang Ye Won, Lee Moon Soo, and directed by Kim Yeong Tak.

It’s a story about Sang-Man a man who is depressed and lonely, he attempted suicide many times but always saved from death. After the last time attempting a suicide he started to see ghosts, a chain smoking cab driver, an alcoholic grandfather, an always-cry woman, and a young kid. They follow Sang-Man everywhere, and it makes him annoyed, then he comes to a psychic and found that he cannot get rid of these ghosts until he fulfills their last desires.

If you just read the synopsis it will seems common or not interesting, in fact it’s not just about getting rid the ghosts but also a journey finding who Sang-Man really is. Well, I don’t want to give any spoiler, just watch it until the end. You’ll know why.

Trip to France Part #1

It was getting dark on that day. I'm getting nervous yet impatient as time goes by. It's time to leave. Airport I'm coming....

I was going to France at that time, about two months ago. I followed a student exchange programs held by government. Now I want to tell you some of my experience when I was there, but I will try to be more specific in tourist area.
Skip the airport scenes, there is nothing important there.
Emirates. Yes, I used that airplane to get to France, well, actually it's government choice (-___-"), I've been browsing the internet for Emirates, and it turns out that this airplane was really great. It's time to prove that. At first-look the crews are really tidy and neat. When they began the service they used vest, but when they walking around the airport or when it's time to say goodbye, they used formal jacket or you can say blazer. The plane is Boeing 777 if I'm not mistaken, it's comfort enough but still I can't sleep well, always like this. Because I can't sleep so I decided to go to the bathroom with my camera, I want to take some pictures in there (You may think I'm weird, lol). The bathroom was good, clean, and they have hot water too! After taking some pictures I go back and see the crews have chat, looks like they have a time, with all my confidence I talk to them and ask for a photo! Hey, they're really friendly! They really know how to befriend with teenagers. A photo turns out to more photos, I have to admit I was having fun here, and I regret I didn't ask their email or something so I can contact them, have so many friends from many countries is really great.
Time goes by and we're almost arrived. We got some meals, and it's enough until you got into the connecting flight. If you fly with Emirates from Indonesia you have to transit first at Dubai Airport, and get your connecting flight to France with Emirates too, Why? Wait for it.

DBX, it's Dubai Airport code. My friends said that this Airport was really big and great. Well, I guessed they were right, it's really big and there are so many stores here, time for shopping? Well, for me it's not yet, but for you maybe yes. I was really tired, so I just sit down near the waiting room and waited untill it open. The waiting room opened, and we have to wait a little more. Finally, we can get into the plane. And what surprise me is....it's Airbus A380-800. Wow, it's really huge, double-deck, and have four-engine jet airliner. It's the largest passenger airliner in the world!! It's very very very comfortable, and you got a lot of meals too. That's why I suggest you to choose Emirates. The mini touchscreen-tv has a lot of improvement, better than they have in Boeing 777. The service? Oh, it's improved too, they really nice and even tell me a joke too. Funny!

Do you knnow Peter Gene Hernandez? If you don't, then maybe you know Bruno Mars. Yes, his real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 8, 1985. Born from a family of musician, and he began making music at a young age.

Mars decided to pursue a musical career after performing in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He moved to Los Angeles after graduating from his High School. He worked with B.o.B by lending his vocals and co-writing the hooks for the song 'Nothin' on You' and 'Billionare' by Travie McCoy. He also co-wrote the hits "Right Round" by Flo Rida featuring Kesha, "Wavin' Flag" by K'naan, and "Fuck You!" by Cee Lo Green. Then, Mars became recognized as a solo artist and released a debut album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' on October 5, 2010. In the United States, 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 for the week of October 13, 2010, selling 55,000 copies.

On September 19, 2010, Mars was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine. When talking to a police officer, Mars reportedly stated that what he did was "foolish" and that "he has never used drugs before". Mars pled guilty to felony drug possession, and in return for his plea, the charges will be erased from his criminal record as long as he pays a $2,000 fine, does 200 hours of community service and completes a drug counseling course.

Midnight in Paris, a Spanish-American romantic-comedy film directed by Woody Allen. Midnight in Paris got good reviews, and Rotten Tomatoes certified it fresh!

The story tells us about Gil (Owen Wilson) a Hollywood screenwriter, vacationing with his fiance, Inez (Rachel McAdams) and her Republican parents in Paris. Gil is currently writing his first novel after giving up his career in the Hollywood, he is now struggling to finish the novel, which is about a man who works in a nostalgia shop, but Inez and her parents are critical and demeaning of Gil's decision to give up his lucrative Hollywood career. They do not share his romantic view of Paris, and while Gil wanted to move to the city for inspiration, Inez is intent on living in Malibu. By chance, they are joined by Inez's friend Paul (Michael Sheen), a pseudo-intellectual who speaks with great authority but little actual substance or accuracy on the history and art of the city. Inez idolizes him but Gil, who is a ardent admirer of the Lost Generation, finds him insufferable.
The film premiering at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in May 2011, and released on June 10, 2011. The film stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Carla Bruni, and Adrien Brody.

Green Lantern

This superhero film based on the DC Comics character with the same name, directed by Martin Campbell. Released on June 17, 2011.

So, this movie tells about 'Green Lantern Corp', somekind of intergalactic police that protect the universe which they split it into 3.600 sectors. Oneday, there is a bad guy called 'Parallax', he was prisoned from a long time ago, and now managed to escape from his prison. One of the 'Green Lantern Corps', Abin Sur battled with Parallax but he was defeated. Abin Sur then crash-lands on Earth. The dying Abin Sur commands his ring to find a worthy successor on the planet.

Hal Jordan, a Ferrich Aircraft test pilot is chosen by the ring and transported to where Abin Sur is dying. Abin Sur appoints him a Green Lantern, by telling him to take the lantern and speak the oath.

After that, Jordan comes to the Green Lantern Corps home planet of Oa, where he meets and trains with Tomar-Re and Kilowog. But, after meeting with Sinestro he get back to Earth. Meanwhile, the corpse of Abin Sur was moved to a secret goverment facility and a piece of Parallax's DNA inject itself inside a scientist. So, how is it going to end? Curious? Watch it at your cinema!

Began her career signed to Gut Records, recording an album but the company went bakrupt before anything released. Jessie then move on, becoming a songwriter she found a success. It took six years to create Jessie J's first studio Album 'Who You Are', it was completed on January 19, 2011 and released on February 25, 2011.

You know about a romantic story titled 'Romeo and Juliet'? Do you know who wrote the story? He is William Shakespeare.

Roland Emmerich will bring William Shakespeare into life again in his new movie 'Anonymous' that will release on October 28, 2011. The tagline of the movie, 'Was Shakespeare A Fraud?' has gained a lot of attention, and brought a controversy. Well, actually it's not only because of the tagline but the movie also.

I have to say the poster was somehow artictic, a person holding a pen that's now known who he is and inks that scattered around. An unknown person that holding a pen also describe the movie, is it true Shakespeare, or is it someone else? It will remain a mystery even if the movie released.

Have you heard a song titled Firework? or maybe E.T? Whether you have heard or not, you must be heard about this women, Katy Perry.

Now, I will write about her, please read it if you're interested :D

Katy Perry was born with name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California. When she was a child, Perry listening to only gospel music sang in her local church as a child., it's because she raised by Christian pastor parents. She began to pursue a career in music after earning a GED during her first year of high school, her first stage name was Katy Hudson, she she released a self-titled gospel album in 2001, unfortunately it was unsuccessful. But this doesn't break Katy Perry's spirit, she is later signing to the newly created Capitol Music Group, a merger between Virgin and Capitol. Adopted a new stage new name into 'Katy Perry'. She started a campaign in November 2007 with the release of the video "Ur So Gay", aimed at introducing her to the music market. A digital EP (Extended Play) led by "Ur So Gay" was later released to create online buzz and press story. This move gained an attention of Madonna, and she mentioned Katy Perry on KISS FM and KRQ's JohnJay & Rich morning show in Arizona.

Lead single "California Gurls" was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals with title-track and second single "Teenage Dream" nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The album also won International Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2011.

Ae you a fan of Tintin? This reporter will come in big screen on December 23, 2011. The film that will come in 3D is based on a series of comic books of 'The Advantures of Tintin' created by Belgian artist Georges "Hergé" Remi. The poster of the movie released in two different versions, the first version is International Poster, and the second is US version, look at it below:

From the poster we can see what is in the movie and what will happen in the movie, the first thing is there's a broken plane that about to fall, and in the right of the poster there is a ship which is (maybe) a Legendary Unicorn Ship. At the first poster it seems that Tintin and his dog are standing in Europe, his signature blue jersey and plus fours are all present and correct. Another thing is, there is seen a somekind of dessert. The second poster is darker, and the face of Tintin can't be seen clearly.

The film combine from several stories of Tintin, The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure. It tells how Tintin meet with Captain Haddock, and they will discover the treasure of Captain Haddock ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock.

Do you remember Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Tiger, Rabbit, Owl, Roo, Kanga, and last but not least Christoper Robin? Well, I do still remeber it, how can I forget it's my favourite story when I was young, very young.

An upcoming 2011 American sci-fi is Cowboys & Aliens, the film starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde. The film is based on the 2006 graphic novel created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg titled Cowboys & Aliens.

Cowboys & Aliens is scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada on July 29, 2011.

Cowboys & Aliens sets in 1873 and tells about a loner named Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) awakens in Arizona with no memory about his past and the mysterious shackle around his wrist.

He enters the town of Absolution where he learns that he is a notorious criminal wanted by many people, including Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford), who rules the town with an iron fist. Absolution soon faces an even greater threat when alien spaceships attack the town. While his shackle holds the key to defeating the aliens.

Do you remember Mumble and Gloria from Happy Feet?

Yes, there will be Happy Feet 2! They scheduled Happy Feet 2 to be released on November 2011.

There are no synopsis yet, but the movie is still far from release so I think it's okay. So I will tell about the voice cast first. There seems no big changing at the voice cast, but one thing is Gloria will be voiced by Pink, because Brittany Murphy who is the original voice of Gloria has passed away on December 20, 2010.

It's a shocking news, because her death is so sudden, she has a great voice I really love her.

Mumble will still voiced by Elijah Wood and so Ramon/Lovelace voiced by Robin Williams.

There is no trailer too as far as I know. So please stay tuned!
