DimFourth is an app that lets you communicate in the public space by using augmented reality.

DimFourth is a smartphone app, created and promoted by Tomorrow Machine which is a design studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, that lets you communicate and make an impression in the public space by using augmented reality linked to coordinates. You can upload your post and it will automatically be linked to the coordinates where you’re located or you can see other people’s posts by just dragging your smartphone over the area you want to explore.

They are in the process of trying to make the app a reality by having a Kickstarter campaign, so go check it out in the following link:
