First attempt at clay jewellary

Hi Folks ,
I just started following some pages on facebook related to clay creations and wanted to try something small but fancy :P

This is my first attempt at clay jewellary.

I had so much fun creatig this.Its nice to sometime try a different craft :)

Simple Quilling card

Hi Folks ,
I created this card as a copy of Molly Smith's simple but amazing simple card that I saw on Pinterest, but now I cant find it anywhere :(

I wanted to make it for a dear friend and I was short on time , hence this simple one

The dot embossed paper was a RAK from Tejal :)

She loved it , hope you all like it too :)

Air Balloon Quilling

Hi Folks ,

This is a card I created recently for my brother-in-laws birthday.

I handdrew the image and created the background using Distress Inks.

Tried beehive quilling for the first time , however its not so neat :(

I guess the more you try , the more better it gets , but its a great filling technique.

Gift box for gifting money

Hi Folks ,

It was my friend's wedding and since I didnt have any time to buy a gift , we decided on giving cash.

But giving cash in a envelope is such a ancient way :P Why not try something new...

This is when I found my inspiration at Astoria's blog(Do check her blog for tutorials on creating roses and other flowers, they are amazing) :)

The tutorial for creating the box is this found on Astoria's blog itself

This is what I came up with :

For the pull out try I used tight coils of quilling and glued them together to form the knob to easily pull it out :)

I had high expectations with my creations but not wholly satisfied.I am going to give it another try another time ;)

Materials used :

1) Cardstock : Elle

2) Scraps I had received from Lucy.

My quilled watch

Hi All,
Not much to say...but loved the outcome.Perfect for gifting :)

I got this watch from Craft Universe.The delivery was very prompt and I definately recommend this site :) But the strap colours are limited to white and black.

Altered gift box :)

Hi All ,
I had an plain empty box which I altered so that it can hold a gift card to be given for a friend's wedding.

This is what I came up with :

Material used :
1) Pattern Paper : Itsy Bitsy
2) Embellishment : Glitter Butterfly and flowers - Itsy Bitsy ,Flourishes- Pie Lane
3) Label - For the Record - Echo Park
4) Stamps - Lawn Fawn.

Petrikov quilling

I was inspired by the Russian Petrikov painting to create this.
This went to a friend as a gift.

This is what I created :

The picture from which I was inspired.Found from a google search on Petrikov painting. I didnt make the large flower on the right hand top corner due to lack of time :P Its a 12 by 15 frame.

Quillography - Not so easy at it looks !

Hi Guys ,
Long time no see..I know !
When I saw this post at Pritesh's blog,I was so happy becuase I had wanted to try my hands at Quillography(Quilling + Typography) for a long time and her challenge gave me a reason to do that !
It is definately not as easy as it looks ! I must say artists like Yulia who work all the time on Quillography must have hell lot of patience !
Nevertheless, the results are beautiful :)

Here is my humble attempt at Quillography : Ta daaa...

I hand drew the bunch , coloured it in and then stuck the strips..
Inspired by something here :

As per Pritesh's rules , a scale by the side of the creation :

This is for my mother-in-law , whose birthday is on the 15th of August.
This is what I had made for her last year :)

Tent card

Hi All,

I am a die hard fan of Inna , and when I saw the gorgeous tent cards that she had created , I wanted to try that too ! I loved her this creation , I want to make something exact ! Yes exact and not even inspired :P
I just love the details in her work and my jaws always drop when she creates something !

Here is a birthday card that I made as an exact copy :P

Hi All ,

I had tried to post this card earlier on but Blogger did something to it and it just couldnt come !So here it goes again !

I love my Hero arts Heart winged butterfly stamp a lot and cant seem to stop using it..

Another one of my cards with it here :

I first started out with coloring by applying the Memento Dew Drop Dandelion ink to the white card stock.Then I stamped the Antique brocade stamp with embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.I then applied the Spiced Marmalade Distress ink to finish off the background.

The brads are Basic grey ones that I found in Pune :) At 150 bucks , it was definitely a good buy :)

I also ,found that they carried this : At 50 bucks it was a steal, but the tape does not last long...so wont be buying this for now.But it did help me with the pleated ribbon on this card :)

I saw this challenge posted by the Young Crafters Unite blog and I knew I wanted to make a clear card from the longest of times !

I was inspired by this card by Lucy Abrahms...

Indian Craft Room Challenge 12

Hi All ,
The current ICRC12 challenge had the perfect timing.I was yearning to create something on a very similar line for the longest time :)

Here is my creation for the same. Please forgive the poor picture quality , my camera has gone for a toss and this is the best pic that I could take from my mobile camera :(

I love this card and it has turned out to be exactly the way I wanted it to be :

This is what I created first but then I felt it needed improvisation since the tree branch cannot be blue :) So I added some quilling elements and here is the final outcome, however the picture is not very clear :(

Pot decoration

Hi Guys ,

Things have been hectic around here and I have struggling to keep my mojo still alive :(

With Diwali round the corner and a pot decoration competition in office, I created this with my mother-in-law's help .It was fun , doing stuff with the family....

We had received a plain pot in office, which we painted with acrylic colours and decorated with mirrors and ric-rac.

We then drew the flowers with acrylic colours and added Pie-Lane red glitter balls to give that nice shine.I love the outcome.

I found another store in Aundh,Pune called Leader stationers which carries most of the stuff that is present at Venus traders. I think its a good find for me :) I found that they carry a lot of Quilling supplies and Quilling books.
