TRUE STORY (THE CASH SECRET)

Parents of 15-year-old find $71,000 cash hidden in his closet!

Does this headline look familiar? Of course it does. You most

likely have just seen this story recently featured on a major
nightly news program in the (USA).

His mother was cleaning and putting laundry away when she came
across a large brown paper bag that was suspiciously buried

beneath some clothes and a skateboard in the back of her
15-year-old sons closet. Nothing could have prepared her for
the shock when she opened the bag and found it was full of cash.
Five dollar bills, twenties, fifties and hundreds- all bundled in

labeled piles. (My first thought was that he had robbed a bank),
says the 41-year-old woman, "Over $71,000 CASH in that bag-
more than my husband earns in a year".

The woman immediately called her husband at the car-dealership

where he worked to tell him what she discovered. He came home
right away and they drove together to the boys school and
picked him up. Little did they suspect that where the money came
from was more shocking than actually finding it in the closet.

As it turns out, the boy had been sending out via E-mail on the
Internet a type of chain-letter to E-mail addresses that he
obtained off of the Internet. Everyday after school for the past
2 months, he had been doing this right on his computer in his

bedroom.

(I just got the E-mail one day and I figured what the heck, I
put my name on it like the instructions said and I started sending
it out,) says the clever 15-year-old.

The E-mail letter listed 3 addresses and contained instructions

to send one $5 dollar bill to the person at the top of the list,
then delete that address and move the other 2 addresses up, and
finally to add your name to the bottom of the list. The letter goes
onto state that you would receive several thousand dollars in five

dollar bills within 2 weeks if you sent out the letter with your
name at the bottom of the 3-address list, (I get junk E-mail all
the time, and I really did not think it was gonna work), the boy
continues.

Within the first few days of sending out the E-mail, the Post
Office Box that his parents had gotten him for his video-game
magazine subscriptions began to fill up with not magazines, but
envelopes containing $5 dollar bills.(About a week later I rode

my bike down to the post office and my box had 1 magazine and
about 300 envelopes stuffed in it. There was also a yellow slip
that said I had to go up to the post office counter- I thought I
was in trouble or something laughs). He goes on, (I went up to

the counter and they had a whole box of more mail for me. I had
to ride back home and empty out my back pack, cause I couldn't
carry it all.)

Over the next few weeks, the boy continued sending out the

E-mail. (The money just kept coming in and I just kept sorting it and
stashing it in the closet, I barely had time for my homework.)
He had also been riding his bike to several of the area banks and
exchanging the $5 bills for twenties, fifties and hundreds.

(I didn't want the banks to get suspicious so I kept riding to
different banks with like five thousand at a time in my
backpack. I would usually tell the lady at the bank counter that my
dad had sent me in to exchange the money and he was outside waiting.

One time the lady gave me a really strange look and told me that
she would not be able to do it for me and my dad would have to
come in and do it, but I just rode to the next bank down the
street -laughing).

Surprisingly, the boy didn't have any reason to be afraid.
The reporting news team examined and investigated the so-called
chain-letter the boy was sending out and found that it was not
a chain-letter at all. In fact, it was completely legal according

to (US Postal and Lottery Laws, Title 18, Section 1302 and 1341,
or Title 18, Section 3005 in the US code, also in the code of
federal regulations, Volume 16, Sections 255 and 436, which state a
product or service must be exchanged for money received.)

Every five dollar bill that he received contained a little note
that read, (Please add me to your mailing list.) This simple
note made the letter legal because he was exchanging a service
(adding the purchasers name to his mailing list) for a five dollar fee!

Here is the letter that the 15-year-old was sending out by
E-mail, you can do the exact same thing he was doing, simply by
following the instructions in this fast cash secret letter-

Here are instructions on how to make a minimum $10,000 US

cash in the next 2 weeks

There are 3 addresses listed below.

Send the person at the top of the list a $5 bill wrapped in 2
pieces of paper (to securely hide it), along with a note that
says (Please add me to your mailing list.)

Then delete that name, move the other 2 up and put your name at
the bottom.

Now start sending this ENTIRE E-mail back out to people. When 20
people receive it, those 20 people will move your name up to the

middle position and they will each send out 20. That totals 400
people that will receive this letter with your name in the
middle. Then, those 400 people will move your name up to the top
and they will each send out 20 E-mails. That totals 8,000 people that

will receive this E-mail with your name at the top and they will each
send you a $5 bill.

8,000 people each sending you a $5 bill = $40,000 cash.
That is if everyone responds to this E-mail, but not everyone will,

so you can expect more realistic to receive about $10,000 cash
$5 bills in your mailbox. However, do not be surprised if you receive
much more! All it takes is 1 or 2 people who decide they are going
to mail out thousands of these letters! Then see what happens!!!

This will work for anyone, anywhere in the world in any country,
but send only a US CASH $5 or $10 CAN bill.

The more E-mails you send out, the more cash you will receive.
If each person sends out 100 E-mails, there will be 1,000,000

people that receive this letter when your name reaches the top.
If only 1% of those people respond, you will still get $50,000 cash.

THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO DO. When your name reaches the top
in a few days, you will start receiving $5 bills from other people

just like yourself, who are willing to invest a $5 bill to receive $10,000 cash.

If you do not try - you will never know!

Besides, there are no mailing lists to buy (and wait for), and

trips to the printer or copier, and you can do it again and again
with your regular groups or gifters, or start up a new group.
Each time you receive an MLM offer, respond with this letter!
Your name will climb to the number one position at dizzying rates.

Follow the simple instructions, and above all, PLEASE PLAY FAIR.
That is the key to your success. Your name must run from
the bottom up the list to produce the end results. Sneaking your name

the right to be there. So please, play by the rules and bundles of
cash will come to you!

2010 Census Cautions from the Better Business Bureau

Be Cautious About Giving Info to Census Workers, by Susan Johnson

With the U.S. Census process beginning, the Better Business Bureau (BBB)
advises people to be cooperative, but cautious, so as not to become a
victim of fraud or identity theft. The first phase of the 2010 U.S.
Census is under way as workers have begun verifying the addresses of
households across the country. Eventually, more than 140,000 U.S. Census
workers will count every person in the United States and will gather
information about every person living at each address including name,
age, gender, race, and other relevant data.

The big question is - how do you tell the difference between a U.S.
Census worker and a con artist? BBB offers the following advice:

If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a
handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality
notice. Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering
their questions. However, you should never invite anyone you don't know
into your home.

Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address
information. Do not give your Social Security number, credit card or
banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the
U.S. Census.

REMEMBER,
NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY
PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS.

While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such
as a salary range, YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING
AT ALL ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION. The Census Bureau will NOT ask
for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will
employees solicit donations. Any one asking for that information is
NOT with the Census Bureau.

AND REMEMBER, THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON
GATHERING THIS INFORMATION. No Acorn worker should approach you saying
he/she is with the Census Bureau.

Eventually, Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail,
or in person at home. However, the Census Bureau will NOT contact you
by Email, so be on the lookout for Email scams impersonating the Census.

Never click on a link or open any attachments in an Email that are
supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Saggin Pants

Pass this on to Our Youth, Our Parents, Our Black Men and Women
Letter from a college student
The other day, a friend of mine visited me in the lobby of my dorm just to chat while her laundry was drying. As we were chatting, two young freshmen came by. One of the 2 boys wanted to 'talk' to my friend (as in date). She asked him how old they were, and both of the boys replied 18. My friend and I both laughed hysterically because we are both 22 years old.
After my friend left, the young men were still hanging around and one wanted to know how he could gain her interest.
The first thing I told him to do was to pull up his pants! He asked why, and then said he liked saggin ' his pants. I told him to come over to my computer and spell the word saggin'. Then I told him to write the word saggin ' backwards.
S-A-G-G-I-N
N-I-G- G-A-S
I told him the origin of that look was from centuries ago. It was the intent of slave owners to demoralize the field workers by forbidding them to wear a belt as they worked in the fields or at any other rigorous job. In addition, men in prison wore their pants low when they were 'spoken for'. The other reason their pants looked like that was they were not allowed to have belts because prisoners were likely to try to commit suicide. And, saggin' pants prevents you from running.
We as young Black people have to be the ones to effect change. We are dying. The media has made a mockery of the Black American. Even our brothers and sisters from Africa don't take us seriously. Something as simple as pulling up your pants and standing with your head held high could make the biggest difference in the world's perception of us. It is time to do right by ourselves. We need to love and embrace each other. No one is going to do that for us.
It all comes down to perception. What people perceive is what reality to them is. We have to change not only the media's perception of us, but we need to change our perception of ourselves.
Remember all eyes are on you Black Man. All eyes are on you Black Woman. All eyes are on your Black Child. People point the finger at us and expect us to engage in negative and illegal activities, to manifest loud, boisterous behavior, to spend our hard earned money in their stores, buying goods we don't need, or really want. We have allowed not only the media, but the government and the world to portray us as a 'sub-culture. ' They have stripped our culture down to the point where the image of Black people is perpetuated as rappers, athletes, drug users, and consumers of junk food, expensive tennis shoes, expensive cars, expensive TVs, cell phones and not investing in homes for our families.
We are so much more!!!!!!!
To all our Black Men : It's time to stand up. There are billions of Black Women who want to do nothing more than worship the ground that you walk on. We are so in love with your potential. We want to have your back, we want to love, support20and cherish every ounce of your being. But with that you have to show that you are willing to be the head of our households. You have to prove yourselves worthy of our submission. We need you to be hard working...Not a hustler. We need you to seek higher education, to seek spirituality. We need you to stand! And trust us; we will have your back. We know that it gets hard. We know you get weary. Trust and believe that there is nothing that a Black Man and a Black Woman can't handle with GOD on their side.
To all our Black Women : It is also time for you to stand up. It is time for you to stop using our bodies as our primary form of communication. It is time to be that virtuous woman that Proverbs spoke of. You cannot sit by the wayside while our men are dying by the masses. You are the epitome of Black Love. It starts within you. You need to speak with conviction to let not only our Black Men know, but the world, that you are the Mothers of this world. You are so powerful. You are so beautiful. You need to love and embrace every blessing God has given us physically, emotionally and spiritually.
For all our Black Children : We need to love them. We need to teach them. We need to stand up for them. We need to protect them. We need to show them that there are no 'get rich quick' schemes. We need to tell them that they WILL die trying if they submit to a life of crime and deceit. We need to teach our children that no one will love them the way we can. And be ing a basketball player, a rapper, or a drug dealer is not reality. It's not realistic and only a small percentage of people ever make it as a rapper or professional athlete. We need to teach our children that we can be more than rappers and athletes. We can be the owners of these sports teams. We can be the CEO's of OUR fortune 500 companies. We need to believe in literacy.
Please Keep This Going & Have a wonderful day
'This is the year of empowerment. ' God will empower us to accomplish things this year that will be mind blowing'.
GOD BLESS,

DADDY IT HURTS

2009-10-22T09:23:00.000-07:00

"Daddy......it hurts"

Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 3:27pm

This is A TRUE STORY AND IF YOU DON'T PASS THIS ON YOU DON'T
HAVE A SOUL!!!

My name is Chris ,
I am three,
My eyes are swollen..
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
What else could have made,
My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy,
Would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong,
I can't speak at all,
Or else I'm locked up,
All day long.

When I'm awake,
I'm all alone,
The house is dark,
My folks aren't home.

When my mommy does come home,
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll just get,
One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car,
My daddy is back,
From Charlie's bar

I hear him curse,
My name is called ,
I press myself,
Against the wall.

I try to hide,
>From his evil eyes,
I'm so afraid now,
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping,
Calls me ugly words,
He says its my fault,
He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me,
And yells at me more,
I finally get free,
And run to the door.

He's already locked it,
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me,
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor,
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues,
With more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!', I scream,
But it's now much to late,
His face has been twisted,
Into a unimaginable sh ape.

The hurt and the pain,
Again and again,
O please God, have mercy!
O please let it end!

And he finally stops,
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless,
Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Chris ,
I am three,
Tonight my daddy,
Murdered me.

And you can help,
Sickens me to the soul,
If you read this,
And don't pass it on.

I pray for your forgiveness,
You would have to be,
One heartless person,
Not to be affected,
By this Poem.

And because you ARE affected,
Do something about it!
So all I ask you to do,
Is pass this on!

IF YOU ARE AGAINST CHILD ABUSE!
Post this as 'Daddy ... It hurts'

If you do not send this to everyone you know
Then you obviously don't care about child abuse.

At first I thought this was just a chain letter
And I wasn't going to send it either,
But now I realize that this is an important situation.

At least 5 children each day from around the world die from child abuse!!!!

This happens across the board, no matter how much money they have or their ethnicity.
Please help.

GREAT STORY!!

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill, which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed that the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan ...

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have
been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'
Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the
money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.' Today I sent you this story; and I'm asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes puts people in our lives for a reason.

I COULDN'T forward this FAST enough..........!!

2010 is an election year for 1/3 of the senate and 1/2 of the house of representatives. It would be nice if congress got the message; the voting taxpayers are in charge now.

Social Security 2009

LET US SHOW OUR LEADERS IN WASHINGTON "PEOPLE POWER" AND THE POWER OF THE INTERNET. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!

KEEP IT GOING!!!!

Propose this in 2009:

START A BILL TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOCIAL SECURITY

------------ --------- --------- ----

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments. ......

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000..00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. ZIP!! NADA!!! ZILCH!!!

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer ), We can expect to get an average of
$1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. . Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

Then sit back.....

And see how fast they would fix it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

How many people can YOU send this to?

Better yet......

How many people WILL you send this to?

P.S. The same goes for their healthplan

Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report'. If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful...'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your Name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.

I Love You Mom

2009-09-19T15:54:00.000-07:00

I LOVE YOU MOM "

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... She was such an embarrassment. .
She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to
Say hello to me.
I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me?
I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.
The next day at school one of my classmates said, "EEEE, your mom only
Has one eye!"
I wanted to bury myself.
I also wanted my mom to just disappear..
I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only gonna make me a
Laughing stock, why don't you just die?"
My mom did not respond....
I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because
I was full of anger.
I was oblivious to her feelings.
I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.
So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.
Then, I got married.
I bought a house of my own.
I had kids of my own.
I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts, Then one day, my
Mother came to visit me.
She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her
Grandchildren.
When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at
Her for coming over uninvited.
I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my
Children!"
GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!"
And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have
Gotten the wrong address,"
And she disappeared out of sight..
One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house..
So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.
After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.
My neighbors said that she died.
I did not shed a single tear..
They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have..
"My dearest son,
I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and
Scared your children.
I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion.
But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.
I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were
Growing up.
You see.........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and
Lost your eye.
As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you
Having to grow up with one eye.
So I gave you mine.
I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my
Place, with that eye.
With all my love to you,
Your mother..

Send this to at least 10 people in the next 5 minutes to show you love your mother.
If you don't then it shows you have no heart

Always tell someone that you love them because you never know what day
Will be their last, or your own.

Always seek to resolve your problems or disagreements with loved ones
Because if either of you should pass on before, the one who is left alive will have the rest of their life to ponder those unresolved feelings but will never find closure. And closure usually brings

GPS AND CELLPHONES PLEASE READ!

2009-09-18T14:39:00.001-07:00

GPS
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had
their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was
parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and
specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included
a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been
prominently mounted on the dashboard.

When the victims got home, they found that their house had been
ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.

The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then
used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain
entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football
game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so
they knew how much time they had to clean out the house. It would
appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.

Something to consider if you have a GPS - don't put your home
address in it. Put a nearby address (like a store or gas station) so you
can still find your way home if you need to, but no one else would know
where you live if your GPS were stolen.

MOBILE PHONES
I never thought of this.......

This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on
her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which
contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet... Etc...was stolen.

20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling
him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text asking
about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.'

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the
money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen
cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin
number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their
bank account.

Moral of the lesson:
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in
your contact list.

Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad,
Mom, etc....

And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts,
CONFIRM by calling back.

Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them
somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came
from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places
to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

*PLEASE PASS THIS ON
* I never thought about the above!
As of now, I no longer have 'home' listed on my cell phone.

Must Read about McDonalds......

2009-09-17T08:38:00.000-07:00

Subject: MUST Read about McDonalds (from a Texas A&M Animal Sciences PhD)

I'm sure those of you who aren't in the cattle business don't understand the issues here. But to those of us whose living depends on the cattle market, selling cattle, raising the best beef possible... This is frustrating. This will keep us from ever stopping there again, even for a drink. The original message is from the Texas Cattle Feeders Association American cattle producers are very passionate about this.

McDonald's claims that there is not enough beef in the US A to support their restaurants. Well, we know that is not so. Our opinion is they are looking to save money at our expense. The sad thing of it is that the people of the USA are the ones who made McDonald's successful in the first place, but we are not good enough to provide beef. We personally are no longer eating at McDonald's, which I am sure does not make an impact, but if we pass this around maybe there will be an impact felt.

All Americans that sell cows at a livestock auction barn had to sign a paper stating that we do NOT EVER feed our cows any part of another cow. South
Americans are not required to do this as of yet. McDonald's has announced that they are going to start importing much of their beef from South America . The problem is that South Americans aren't under the same regulations as American beef producers, and the regulations they have are loosely controlled.

They can spray numerous pesticides on their pastures that have been banned here at home because of residues found in the beef. They can also use various hormones and growth regulators that we can't. The American public needs to be aware of this problem and that they may be putting themselves at risk from now on by eating at good old McDonald's.

American ranchers raise the highest quality beef in the world and this is what Americans deserve to eat. Not beef from countries where quality is loosely controlled. Therefore, I am proposing a boycott of McDonald's until they see the light. I'm sorry but everything is not always about the bottom line, and when it comes to jeopardizing my family's health, that is where I draw the line.

I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) … and those 300 send it to at l east ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on..

Unbelievable!

2009-09-11T18:39:00.000-07:00

Some people just don't get it!

Oh that new car? Jesus is gonna pay for it

JACKSONVILLE, FL — A woman came into the Coggin Pontiac dealership on Blanding Blvd. looking to buy a car. But how she tried to pay for the car is what caught the salesman’s attention.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says Emma Harrison, 25, wrote the dealership a check for $67,768 for the purchase of a car, with the names Jesus Christ and Emma Christ on the account. The check was handed over to the financial manager for verification.
But when the funds didn’t check out, he called police.
Reports show that Harrison would sign the checks as Emma Christ, or even sometimes sign both Jesus Christ and Emma Christ.
Emma told police Harrison was her maiden name, and she was married to Jesus Christ, and Jesus was coming in next week to sign the paperwork for the car.
She also said the dealership called the wrong company to verify the funds. Police looked into Harrison ’s accounts, and found that she had no money in any of her accounts, so she could not purchase the car.
When asked about work, Harrison told police she does not work, but she has a traveling website that people deposit money into.
She had three active credit cards in the name of Emma Christ.

Harrison was arrested on three fraud-related counts.

ASK FOR AN AMERICAN!

2009-09-05T16:01:00.000-07:00

I Received this email from a good friend of mine and I thought it was very helpful to all of us. It is titled: Ask For An American.

Try to remember this every time you have to talk to a Customer Service Rep and you can't understand a word that they are saying. I didn't know that we could do this....but I was sure going to try it. Help bring jobs back to the USA. Ask for an American!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you some great information that I found out purely by accident. I believe it can also save jobs in America while giving people better customer service.

So how many times have you called a companies phone service line and found out that the rep can barely speak English? Once with a major mortgage company it was so bad that I demanded to speak to someone who spoke English. Right at that moment, I broke the code, The secret password for customer service.....come to find out, that every AMERICAN COMPANY USING OVERSEAS OPERATORS, MUST TRANSFER YOU TO A REP IN AMERICA! ( Don't take no for an answer on this!). This was confirmed by the American rep that they must transfer you after that request. I've tried it on half a dozen major companies including cable, phone, credit cards companies, banks, and mortgage companies. It works every time and I actually get my issues taken care of!

Another thing to help save even more jobs....Don't use the automated check out lines that they are pushing at the big box stores. Once again I found out that if we use those lanes, rather than real cashiers, people lose their jobs too. I have had at least two cashiers thank me for helping to save their jobs! I didn't know we could do this, but I will start doing this from now on to keep Americans working. Will you do your part to?

Read And Weep! Blacks Don't Read

2009-09-02T17:39:00.000-07:00

For those of you who heard it, this is the article Dee Lee was reading on a New York radio station. For those of you who didn't here it, this is very deep and true! BLACKS DON'T READ. This is a heavy piece and a Caucasian wrote it.

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES we can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery. Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE GREED AND SELFISHNESS.

Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment A great man once said " The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book". We now live in the information age. They have They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they they refuse to read. There are numerous books available at Borders, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon .com, not to mention their own Black Bookstores that provide solid blueprints to reach economic equality ( which should have been their fight all along), but few read consistently, if at all.

GREED is another powerful weapon of containment. Blacks , since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal.Last year, They spent 10 billion dollars during Christmas, out of Their450 billion dollars in total yearly income (2.22%). Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up, no matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a comsumer people, they function totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing. They would rather buy some new sneaker than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest Jordans or Tommy, and they still think that having a Mercedes and a big house gives them "STATUS" or that they have achieved the American Dream. They are fools! the vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities. With the help of BET, and the rest of their Black media that often broadcast destructive into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits ! Profits like those of Tommy and Nike, Tommy Hilfiger has jeered them, saying he doesn't want their money, and look at how the fools spend more with him than ever before. They'll continue to show off to each other while we build communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.

SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the major ways we can continue to contain them. One of their own, Dubois, said that their was an inate division in their culture. A " Talented Tenth" , he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segment of their culture that has achieved some form of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of it's work. They didn't read that 'The Talented Tenth" was then responsible to ais the Non -Talented ninety percent in achieving a better life, instead, That segment has created another class, A Buppie class that looks down on their own people or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. And when they do get together, their selfishness let's their egos get in the way of their goals. Their so-called self help organizations seem to only want to promote their names without making any real change in their communities. They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not the best doers! Is there no end to their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE! (TEAM). They do not understand that they are no better than each other of what they own...in fact, most of those buppies are but one or two paychecks away from poverty. All of which is under control of our pens in our offices and our rooms. Yes, we will continue to but anything they want and keep thinking they are helping their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. Buy the way, don't worry about any of them reading this letter, Remember .......THEY DON'T READ!!!

WAKE UP BLACK AMERICA!

Burnt toast

2009-08-26T20:53:00.000-07:00

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then.. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burnt toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burnt toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!'

You know, life is full of imperfect things......and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of GOD. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!"

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket, but into your own."

A prayer for our homes

2009-08-19T07:52:00.000-07:00

Let us pray.......That God will grant us a happy home.
"My people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places."
Isaiah 32:8
Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, I turn to thee like a wanderer in the dark, seeking a way out of the noise and confusion in my life.

For you know, dear Father, how much noise and confusion enters our homes. Yes I realize that many of the words and deeds are not always badly meant, But they do upset our homes so much Father.

So, today, dear Lord, I want to ask Thy blessing on all who dwell under this roof. Help us to bear cheerfully together in any sickness, any sorrow, and any hardship.

Bless those in our home who have jobs and duties to perform, dear Father. And bless any small children within our home and those who may have left it for homes of their own. Yes Father, bless and keep those whom have left our dear homes for places far away.

Thank you, dear Father, that even this little talk with you has brought thy spirit into my heart. I know you will answer my prayer and I thank you-I thank you for such comfort, happiness and peace.

We pray in this holy miricle working name.

AMEN

Powerful but true!

2009-08-17T12:16:00.000-07:00

This little girl is supposed to be a fictional character, but the message is still powerful.

Ms. Janitra Patrcik: Dear BET, Why Do You Hate Us?

Dear Debra Lee,

I’m Janita Patrick, a 15-year-old African-American female from Cincinnati. Recently, I watched the 2009 BET Awards and felt the strongest urge to reach out to the program. My family is of the typical middle-class variety; both parents and four brothers. See, I’m a junior in high school (got skipped), so naturally EVERYBODY in my age group watches BET. I’m used to seeing the sagging pants, tattoos, lack of emphasis on reading and respecting women that makes up your videos. People in my class live this out everyday, while teachers tell us that we’re acting just like the people in your shows.

In your shows. That struck me as odd, because I would think that with your show being the primary outlet for black entertainers and musicians, and considering the context of blacks in this country, there’s a social responsibility factor to consider. I would never blame BET alone for the way a great deal of my classmates act and talk and dress. Everybody makes their own choices. However, if anybody is aware the power of television on impressionable minds, it’s the people running the television operations. If you are not aware, then perhaps you shouldn’t be running the operations.

Guess who watches your network the most? Not those who are intelligent enough to discern foolishness from substance, but those who are barely teenagers, impressionable and believing. It’s awfully cruel to plant seeds of ignorance in fertile minds. You know it’s really bad when the co-founder of BET, Sheila Johnson, said that she “really doesn’t watch it” anymore.

I am constantly fighting against the images and messages put forth on your program. What made you think that it’s okay to bring my classmates on stage to dance behind Lil Wayne and Drake to a song talking about boffing “every girl in the world”? Why does reality train wrecks have to thrown in our faces? Are you aware of the achievement gap going in inner-city African-American communities? A report from America’s Promise Alliance, a non-profit group started by Colin Powell, recently stated that 47 percent of high school students in the nation’s top 50 cities don’t graduate. (Fifty-four percent of males of color in Ingham County graduated from high school, compared to 74 percent of white males). This isn’t because of BET per se, but I don’t see any episodes on your show doing anything to counteract this disturbing trend. In fact, your show is a part of this cycle of media depicting us at our worst.

My older brother told me something about profit being the number one goal for every business. I’m not sure I understand what that means, but I do know that your shows have to be entertaining enough to generate viewers, which is how you make your money. But surely our culture is rich enough to entertain without anything extra to “boost” ratings; why the over-the-top foolery? I listen to classmates talk about Baldwin Hills like it’s the Manhattan Project. It doesn’t take much effort to produce a throng of degenerative reality shows, nor does it take much to eliminate socially conscious shows off the air. MTV isn’t much better, but since when does two wrongs ever make a right? It’s one thing for white television shows to depict us in a particular way, but for black television shows to do it is baffling.

Why do you hate us?

All of the values that my parents seek to instill in me and my brothers seems to be contradicted by a more powerful force from the media, and your show is at the forefront. Your network is the only network that features rap videos and shows exclusively to children of my color. I know that you have no control over the music that the artists put out, but you do have influence as to how you air these videos. I’m sure if a stand was taken to use the talent in your organization to actually crank out thought-provoking entertaining shows and videos, then artists will follow suit. Being that they need you as much as you need them.

There was one awkward segment in the BET Awards when Jamie Foxx singled out three black doctors-turned-authors, but the introduction was so powerless that many of the viewers had no idea who they were. Had they been introduced as Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt and George Jenkins, three brothers who overcame major obstacles to become a success without the use of lyrics that berate women, the sell of substance that destroy communities or through raps about loose gunplay, then maybe my classmates would have come to school talking about more than Beyonce, T-Pain’s BIG ASS CHAIN and Soulja Boy Tell Em’s hopping out the bed.

But they weren’t introduced like that. It seemed like a throwaway obligatory tribute to appease some irritated fans. It missed the mark. Big time. Ask Michelle Obama if she watches BET or encourages Sasha and Malia to do so. Ask President Obama. It’s a reason he is the leader of the free world, and it isn’t because of Buffoonery Exists Today.

You’d be surprised how smart young black children can be with the absence of Blacks Embarrassing Themselves. If your goal is to deter engaged, forward-thinking articulate black minds, then consider your goal fulfilled. It’s hard-pressed to think that your shows are working to promote cultural betterment. However, it’s quite easy to conclude that the destruction of black children through the glorification of immoral behavior and rushed production is by design. Poison is being swallowed by every viewer who adores your network, and the worse thing is, these viewers - my classmates - are not even aware what they’re swallowing.

There is nothing edifying for black women on your show. I don’t judge people who do throng to your programs though; I mean, if a jet crashes in right in front of me, I’ll watch it too. That’s why I don’t flip by your channel…I don’t even want to be sucked in.

I have aspirations of acquiring a law degree and possibly entering the public sphere, so I can counteract conditions in my community perpetuated by the images on your channel. So I should thank you, because in a weird sense, your shoddy programming is the wind behind my back. And it is my hope that I can accomplish my dreams despite BET’s pictorial messages, because Lord knows it won’t be because of them.

Sincerely,

Janita Patrick

Real friends vs Fake friends

2009-08-17T10:36:00.000-07:00

Today I would like to talk about friends. How many times have we met someone whom, at the time, seemed like someone we could keep in our lives forever. Only to find out later, that they we snakes. I went to Cleveland, my hometown this weekend to visit a very dear friend of mine, and I asked another friend whom I thought was a good friend to watch my dog for me while I was away. When I got ready to return home which was the following day, I called to let my friend no that I was on my way home and to please have my dog ready for pickup. She said that I couldn't have my dog back! She also said when I got back , she wasn't going to let me in! Well of course, I THOUGHT SHE WAS JUST PLAYING! So I told her that I would be there around 8 pm and that my husband and I were tired and I asked her If she could have his things ready. We got to her house around 8:05 pm and to my surprise, She was not there! Or would not open the door. I happen to know that my dog would never not bark when someone knocks on the door so I concluded that she wasn't there! Can you believe it! I sure didn't. Well a few hours rolled by and still no dog. At about 11:20 pm, This so called friend calls my house and says come and get your f#@$$#@ dog! I was heated....so when I got there, she was running down the hall. I could see her through the glass entrance doors to her building....and no, my dog charlie was not with her! I was even more heated! This girl actually had hidden my dog in someone else's apartment! She must have came out the back door because I ndidn't see her coming towards my truck! all of a sudden I look up and she is standing outside the car yelling and screaming and calling me names and totally intoxicated! Now let me remind you that I said she was a good friend of mine. My husband retrieved our dog and he got back in the truck and we pulled off! Now, in a situation such as this, I felt that because she was intoxicated, I shouldn't add to a no-win situation although I was mad as hell! Now What would you have done? Let's talk about it!

The Company You Keep!

2009-07-28T22:57:00.000-07:00

It is better to be alone than to be in the wrong company.Tell me who your best friends are ..And I'll tell you who you are.If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights, "A mirror reflects a mans face, but what he is really like is shown by the kinds of friends he chooses." the simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate with-for the good and the bad.The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve. any time you associate mediocrity
in others it increases with negative thinking and negative acting people. as you grow , your associates will change. They will want you to stay were they are. Friends that don't help you climb will help you crawl.Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dreams. Those that don't increase you, will decrease you. Consider this: Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, Because those who never succeed themselves are always quick to tell you how! Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are always certain to get the wrong end of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person. Don't follow anyone who is not going anywhere. With some people you spend an evening: with others, you invest in it.Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Let's Talk about It

Today I want t0 talk about marriage. I have been married for 7 years to a wonderful man. He treats me like a queen. He still takes me out and opens car doors for me and cooks for me. He does whatever is needed to make me happy. And I do the same for him. What I want to talk about is the men and women who are in unhealthy relationships and can't seem to find their way out. What happens when a man or woman is mentally and verbally abusive? What do you do? What happens when there are children involved? Now don't get me wrong.....we have been there done that! But....What about those who can't seem to break away knowing that this relationship is going nowhere? Over the years I have met so many wonderful and beautiful women in a relationship with what I would call the devil. What I can't understand is why do they stay? Let's talk about it!

I really married my husband because of his difference. It is not my job to make him over, but rather to discover and value that difference!
