So much has happened in her shirt life but she's finally come to the realisation that in order to be happy, things need to change. <br /> Change, however, isn't as easy as it sounds. Change means facing her past and the people she left behind. </span></div><div class="text_exposed_show" style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> Camden had a chance to make it big but he's clinging onto his anger, resentment and the secret he's kept for years. </span></div><div class="text_exposed_show" style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> I loved the way this book was written. I thought Kendall Ryan executed it really well and I found the pages went by really easily. I liked Noah's character but I wasn't sure about Olivia. She seemed a bit precious and pretentious at times. Some scenes included are deleted ones that never made the final draft, some scenes are what Suanne Laqueur wrote quite a few years ago, before the series I have come to absolutely love took shape. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> I have to say that I loved some parts of this book and others made me appreciative they didn't make the final edits of the books, although I am in complete awe at the thought processes it took to come up with what I can only describe as complex characters and a totally engaging storyline. This book explains all of that and more. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> As well as giving us the many unedited drafts, Suanne herself pops up throughout this book to explain certain things and it was during these moments that I found to be the most fun and interesting. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> This isn't one of those books that makes you sit in wonder at the end of it, as it's almost biographical in nature, in so much as it is Suanne herself telling us what it took for her to write a novel/series. Pretty; is a dark and edgy romance filled with suspense and angsty drama. If you love angst and suspenseful action then this is the perfect read for you! The two have an instant connection and they both have a brokenness about them, but Andie is still in danger from being found out by some dangerous people linked to her horrible past. Anything that can go wrong has and she finds herself staying with her best friend and her three loud children. <br /> However, as the story progress, I found her rather annoying - which is not a first for me - I don't often connect with a female lead.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> My major pull with books, is a male lead that I'm drawn to or one who intrigues me, keeps me guessing. I love a egotistical alpha who knows what he wants. I'm sad to say that I just didn't get Frazer at all. This is a well written story that is engagingly paced to keep you turning the pages. I found these to be well inserted into the story and loved getting both of their sides due to the third POV rather than just one side.</div><div style="text-align: center;">This is a beautiful story of how love can conquer all eventually. Some parts were heart-breaking to read especially in respect of poor Rupert who my heart went out to. I loved how he stuck by Jodi despite everything. The authors seemed to jump around a lot and the book didn't really seem to naturally flow. Kai is a bit of a closed book with a bit of a bad boy past, he doesn't know what he wants in life so tends to separate parts of his life from the real world. After Kai hires Norah to look after his Mum following her hip surgery he can't ignore the attraction that's brewing between them. Can Norah and Kai come together and work it out? </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> I kinda felt agitated whilst reading this and I hated feeling so because I loved this story line and it has great potential. The first 20% of the book was so confusing in terms of to many characters speaking and being introduced at once kind of thing. POV is a killer for me when it's not split into chapters and the first 20% there was several character switches on the same pages which made it very confusing as to who's pov it was. The author has repeatedly through this book switched POV in the space of a paragraph with no warning. Although wasn't so bad after 20% as we mostly had it switching between Norah and Kai which was easier to work out, however I think it could have been better executed if it had been split by chapter POV. <br /> The ending was really abrupt as well so I would liked to have saw some sort of epilogue or longer ending since I noticed the next book is a different character. T-Rex has been held in Viper's dungeon for 3 months, he's been beaten and tortured daily and is on death's door when one day, a woman is thrown into the basement where he's being kept chained up. <br /> Naiya found herself back in Viper's clutches when her druggie mother passed away. Her mother was Viper's own club wh*re, and now he's after Naiya to take her place. Together T-Rex, a.k.a Holt, and Naiya manage to escape Viper's dungeon by the skin of their teeth but the Black Jacks are hot on their tails.<br /> I found myself really emotionally invested in Holt, he brought out all the feels in me and my heart broke for him at times to see the damaged caused by what he went through in that torture basement. His friendship with Tank was something special and to see how that was affected was a shot to the heart.<br /> This book is just as well-written and action-packed as the others in the series. I highly recommend this series to fans of biker books, it's one that I don't think gets enough recognition but it's as good as the likes of Bella Jewel's or Joanna Wylde's MC series in my opinion. I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. In this book, we learn that Trip has a vulnerable sweet side and Jamie Beck did an amazing job with Trip's backstory and the reasons why he has such a careless demeanor. I loved Trip in the first book but I loved him even more after his sweet vulnerable side is revealed. He tries to hide this secret side of him, but Kelsey sees the real him. They start up a friends with benefits relationship and in exchange Trip will give her the perfect tips to land herself a husband. I have been a fan of Jaimie Roberts for a while. Her ability to tell a story is what has me eagerly anticipating every book she releases. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> The hot cover and synopsis of Scars is what grabbed my attention and the epilogue was so amazing and gave me such high hopes for the rest of the book. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> It was clear from the beginning that Lily was a goody two-shoes type, who falls for her mysterious stalker and for the purpose of this review I shall call him Mr X. At first I didn't feel it plausible that a girl like Lily fall for someone like Mr X, but now I believe that it was more due to not being able to get into Lily's head. It also meant a huge portion of the book lost a lot of momentum and I do largely think that is down to the fact that Lily showed very little personality. Mr X's hidden identity, especially to Lily, was a major part of the story and the fact that we as readers were also kept from knowing too much about him, I felt it was more important that Lily's character had more in depth. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> For me, Jaimie Roberts' books have always been about the great storylines and dare I say, hot sex? Scars had more of a young adult feel to it, although due to a particular scene I don't feel it could safely fall under this category. I felt a lot of what I love about Jaimie's books was missing, due to the very slow build up, although the feeling of suspense did remain strong throughout. Ledger has a troubled past and Jacy has a tragic past and both of them are still running from it. When Ledger moves into a rented run down beach house in a small beach town, naturally Jace wants to know who her new sexy tattooed neighbour is? So Jacy decides to introduce herself with some lovely muffins her friend baked and she even admits that to him! Ledger is ecstatic that Jacy has made introductions easy since he has been admiring Jacy from afar daily when she takes her dog a walk on the beach daily. Jacy doesn't know if she is ready to give her heart away again and is initially hesitant to take things further once they become acquainted. However there's a lot more to this story than you think and there is a bit of a large twist where slight hints are dropped along the way, but it still keeps you guessing as to what the heck is going on so you will just have to read to find out. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> I love Tess Oliver's books. Tess has the ability to write a unique story subject every time she puts words on the page. This one is no different and flows really well where everything just slots in as it should be. Basically we have one guy, Griffin who had held Elyce's heart for so long only to throw it away and then there's Ritter, her hot, doting, attentive lover. Now what has incensed me so much about this book is that it made me side with one guy over the other. We get in his head, understand his motives, see that he is in fact a great big jerk, but somewhere along the line you feel sorry for. Where as the other guy we know very little about and that prevented me from actually caring whether he got the girl or not. I'm not going to tell you who wins in the end, that's not what this is about, but I can tell you I'm not happy about the outcome, because neither deserved her in my eyes. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> Elyce for much of this book was incredibly frustrating and never really developed as a character because she was so weak for much of it. Yes she'd had an image overhaul, but deep down she still harboured those same insecurities that made her engage in such an unhealthy relationship with Griffin. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"> Why the 4 stars, you may ask? Well deep down I know this book was well written and to evoke such strong emotions from me, even if it is anger has to be commended, so my utter fury at the outcome is mine alone. She's a marketing guru that is basically being given a chance to prove herself and make a name for herself and further her career, there's one thing that could screw all that up though, West Rykman. <br /><br />West Rykman is a business owner, but not just any business owner, he's the man that Mia had a crazy night with in Vegas on her best friends bachelorette party and what happens in Vegas definitely doesn't always stay in Vegas. West has his heart closed off and is all about his work, hence his want for a marketing guru to spruce up his business. <br /><br />West and Mia's attraction is crazy hot. He is every bit the alpha male, strong, sexy, commanding and over all a lot deeper than we're first lead to believe. Mia is sassy as hell and gives West a run for his money. Her internal dialogue is great, she's hilarious inside and out of her head, full of sass and sarcasm. I love that Mia is a strong female character, she's a challenge for West and I love to see the chemistry and spark from these to very strong characters, it makes for a very interesting read. Kayla is a Watcher, a warrior whose prupose is to protect innocents from vampires. They should be enemies but from the moment they met they felt a strong connection to each other.<br /> This story is a good one, the premise is interesting and could quite easily pan out into a whole series. This book felt more like a taster of the world laid out in this story, it's not a complete story and there are lots of stones left unturned so I do hope it is intended to become a series.<br /> This book is well written and as I said the premise is a good one but I'm giving this book 3.5 stars because it is not a full story, and although the ending isn't exactly what I'd call a cliffhanger, it is in no way complete and it left me feeling somewhat unsatisfied.
