Ernie Harwell Dead at Age of 92

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 05 May 2010 04:56:00 +0000

Ernie Harwell, the long-time Detroit Tigers radio and TV announcer died tonight at age 92 after a battle with cancer. The voice of the summers of my childhood has been quieted and a piece of the innocence in all of us goes with it. He was a good man who got to spend his life around the game he loved and was able to share it with all of us with humility, class, and an abundance of grace.

The Twins announced the news to the Target Field crowd during the seventh-inning stretch, putting a picture of his smiling face on the big screen. Twins fans saluted him with a warm standing ovation.

"His passion and wisdom during each broadcast gave you insight to his love for the Tigers, and for the state of Michigan," Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski said in a statement. "The entire Detroit Tigers' family extends their heartfelt condolences to his wife, Lulu, and the Harwell family."

If you didn't grow up within earshot of the 50,000 watts of WJR in Detroit, you probably can't quite understand this, but trust me when I say the man's voice simply WAS summer. It WAS baseball. It WAS childhood. It WAS Detroit. And it WAS innocence. And it was all of those things for several generations of Tigers fans.

No matter what was happening in my beleaguered hometown, from riots, to unemployment, to corruption, to an exodus, Ernie was the constant. And every year, spring came and anything was possible for Detroit when Ernie came on the radio to call a Tigers game. He stood above all the problems of that city with elegance, grace, class and never a nasty word for anyone.

Sandra Boss:"Who is Clark Rockefeller?"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sun, 14 Mar 2010 07:16:00 +0000

Who Is Clark Rockefeller? which is based on a true story, stars Eric McCormack and Sherry Stringfield as Clark and Sandra Boss, a married couple who have one child and eventually get divorced. The reason for the divorce is that Sandra (Stringfield) doesn't have a clue as to who Clark really is.

Clark Rockefeller is living a lie and is a con artist of the nth degree. He plays his role(s) completely and dupes smart, educated people who should be able to see through him. Sandra Boss is an educated woman who falls for his stories and for him hook, line and sinker. She honestly believes that he is one of those "Rockefellers" and that because he comes from a wealthy, prestigious family he is entitled to be a little different.

Her gullibility costs her a fortune. He stays at home with t heir child and she earns the living for the family. She even stays in the city during the week and comes home on weekends so that she can earn more money and keep him in the lifestyle to which he is accustomed. While she is doing it, it all seems so logical.

McCormack is fairly solid as the chameleon like Clark. It isn't an amazing acting job but it does serve the purpose of the story. Stringfield out acts him as the gullible but intelligent Sandra. She plays her role with such confidence and involvement you can almost accept Sandra's gullibility.

Elin Nordegren’s Custody Battle

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 23 Dec 2009 17:31:00 +0000

Will Elin Nordegren’s custody wishes come true? Some say that she may try to become the sole custodian of her children when they file for divorce. It appears that she may be waiting for a while before actually filing for divorce. Obviously the word is that she has lost trust in Tiger so she wants out, but their separation would leave the couple’s kids hanging in the balance.

In the meantime Tiger is apparently going to check himself into rehab for his reported ‘sexual addiction,’ and even for his alleged misuse of prescription drugs. So far, it doesn’t sound like that is enough to placate Elin.Elin could have easily forgiven Tiger if it had only been a single foolish affair but the fact that he maintained a relationship with one of his mistresses for more than three years and during her pregnancy is hard to forget.

Whenever Elin files for divorce, which is almost 100% certain she will sooner rather than later, she is expected to seek sole custody of their two children, 2 year-old Sam and 10 month-old Charlie. Elin has allegedly already contacted California divorce attorney Sorell Trope.

Elin thinks Tiger still hasn’t done enough to save their marriage, in spite of his announced indefinite break from golf. Tiger is rumored to be checking into rehab to treat his “sexual compulsions” and use of prescribed meds, Ambien, which he used to have wild sex with Rachel Uchitel, and Vicodin.

Peaches Geldof Sizzles In Hot Lingerie Shoot

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 01 Dec 2009 18:00:00 +0000

Peaches Geldof reveals her playful side as she springs into action on a merry-go-round, wearing only her underwear. The 20-year-old socialite modelled a series of festive lingerie numbers for fashion line Miss Ultimo, complete with colourful bows in her hair.

But the trimmings were not enough to distract from her many tattoos, which include a long daisy chain that curls from her rib to her lower thigh.Peaches is the face - and decorated body - for Ultimo's line for younger women, which has been a huge success since launching earlier this year.

The company's boss Michelle Mone is believed to have quickly snapped up the socialite after seeing topless beach pictures of her in Brazil in February. She said: 'Peaches was the perfect choice for this campaign. She's young, edgy with lashings of style.'

Peaches added: 'I'd rather young girls were looking at a normal body like mine rather than an anorexic model.'
Bob Geldof's middle daughter has spent much of the past two years based in the U.S. following her brief marriage to American rocker Max Drummey, which ended in February.Following their quickie Las Vegas wedding, Peaches moved to Williamsburg, New York, and landed a job writing for local fashion magazine Nylon.

Serena Williams Swimsuit Malfunction !!

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 01 Dec 2009 17:48:00 +0000

Messing around in the sea on a Barbados beach yesterday, Serena Williams suffered an embarrassing slip-up - when her strapless swimsuit rolled down.Luckily for her friends, the tennis ace saw the funny side, laughing off the incident.

Her relaxed attitude must have been a relief - the 28-year-old isn't known for being placid.Yesterday, the world number one was hit with a record penalty in women’s tennis for her US Open outburst.Serena was fined £50,000 and given a suspended ban from Flushing Meadows over the next three years for the threats she directed at a line judge who foot-faulted her during her semi-final against Kim Clijsters.

While an immediate suspension was never likely to materialise, the fine, which could double if Williams commits another major misdemeanour at a grand slam event, was lower than had been widely expected.Williams’ earnings from the singles and doubles events at the tournament were £334,307, so the penalty was covered by what she made from that fortnight alone.

The possible £106,658 that she could forfeit is, in effect, a match fee fine, as that is the difference between the money paid to singles quarter-finalists and beaten semi-finalists.

She plopped a huge bracelet on each arm, went for massive bling earrings and a ring and finished off the whole ensemble with a pair of blue suede shoes that didn't appear to match anything. Her alter ego Jordan made her name from the lack of clothes she wore, and as Katie Price her spectacular array of outfits have fallen into the category of in-your-face garishness.

Britney Spears Shoots Steamy Video for Controversial New Song 3

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 16 Oct 2009 12:13:00 +0000

Cavorting with two men in a skimpy see-through lace outfit, this is Britney Spears filming scenes for her latest controversial song 3.The track has already claimed the top spot in the U.S. charts and is taken from her forthcoming album The Singles Collection, released next month.Masterminded by Max Martin - the producer who helped catapult 16-year-old Spears into the world spotlight with Hit Me Baby One More Time 10 years ago - the lyrics fall back on the Britney tried and tested sexy routine.

While the lyrics are less controversial than her last hit If you seek Amy (which refers to sexual intercourse), the song mentions 'Peter, Paul and Mary' - not a homage to the 60's folk group, but a sexual slangword for a threesome. On the track, Britney, 27, sings: 'Three is a charm, two is not the same, I don't see the harm, so are you game?'

And the video was also shot in true Britney style, with the mother of two spending most of her time grinding against two muscular male dancers in the lace outfit. She then switched to a flesh coloured leotard to continue the steamy routine, which she filmed in Los Angeles last week.

Britney, who is now being managed and mentored by her father Jamie Spears, seems well on the road to recovery after her well-documented breakdown last year.Millions of adoring fans watched her flashy Circus tour complete with big-top, acrobats, clowns and jugglers, which earned Britney $74.6million in its first 48 shows but was not loved by critics, who compared her to a miming robot.

Halle Berry Sizzles in Sexy Revealing Dress

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 16 Oct 2009 12:12:00 +0000

Halle Berry's film career has been less than stellar since her Oscar-winning turn in Monster's Ball. But she is always on top form when she hits the red carpet, and an appearance last night at the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in New York proved no exception.Halle, 43, stepped out in an show-stoppping black sequin cut-out dress by Kaufman Franco accessorised with sexy Christian Louboutin stilettos, red clutch bag - and handsome boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

But the actress looked in danger of spilling out of the dress with its strategic cut-outs.Halle's tight-fitting dress put any pregnancy rumours firmly to bed as she revealed not even a spare inch of flab in the hard to wear cut out style. Its figure-hugging style showed off the actress's physique to stunning effect. However, it appeared to be somewhat lacking in fabric in the bust area.

She credits yoga and pilates for her stunning physique, and as a diabetic she always maintains a healthy diet. The 42-year-old actress - who has a one-year-old daughter, Nahla, with partner Aubrey - says she has to work hard to maintain her impressive physique, and insists it is the same for most women. She said: 'God bless them if they're telling the truth. It's questionable if they are. I always had to diet.

'I'm diabetic, so it's a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital.'Halle said she had to change her diet and exercise regime after giving birth to ensure she didn't pile on the pounds.

Meghan McCain’s Twitter Photo: Too Sexy?

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 16 Oct 2009 11:51:00 +0000

Meghan McCain’s Twitter photo is causing problems for her, and she is even considering deleting her account because of the backlash she received over the sexy tank-top photo.Last night, Meghan posted the about picture on her Twitter account and Tweeted, my “spontaneous” night in is my Andy Warhol biography and takeout….I’m getting old

It was not so much the content of the post, but what she was wearing for the photo, which was a tank top that was quite revealing. I would even go as far to suggest there is push up bra involved or the angle is simply amazing and I need some tips. It is certainly nothing to apologize over though; I mean she isn’t naked or offending in any way!

Well, immediately after posting, Meghan began receiving backlash for her attire, which upset her so much she was considering deleting her account.

She tweeted several time saying, “so I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing but apparently anything other than a pantsuit I am a slut, this is why I have been considering deleting my twitter account, what once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment.” “when I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a “slut”, I can’t even tell you how hurt I am.”

After sleeping on it, the Senator’s daughter decided not to delete her account, but will be “more careful in the future about my use with the medium.”So what do you think about Meghan McCain’s Twitter picture? I sit too sexy or are people too harsh? I told you my thought, now tell me your in the comment section below!

For November’s issue of Men’s Fitness magazine, Ashley Greene gets sassy and sultry and dishes on what she looks for in a guy, her turnoffs, and what she considers romantic. And she has some interesting answers. For the November issue of Men’s Fitness magazine, Ashley Greene gives some interesting answers about guys, relationships and what she thinks is sexy.

When it comes to guys, Greene says, “I’m independent. If a guy is too clingy or needy, I actually get afraid of hurting him — and I can’t deal with that.” When it comes to relationships Ashley adds, “I need a guy that understands give-and-take. I can’t be the only one giving.”So just what does she think is sexy? She tells the magazine, “It’s attitude that gives a guy an edge. When you walk around thinking ‘everyone wants to f— me,’ that’s what comes across. Those guys just scream sex!”

And you jealous men out there? You better forget it. Ashley says, “I hate jealous guys! Everyone can be jealous. We all have that in us. Push the demon down or it’s going to drive the other person away.”When it comes to romance, Greene adds, “Don’t throw petals on the floor if they have no meaning. I would rather have a fun, casual relationship than have someone pretending they’re completely in love with me.”

Hot January Jones Posed for Men's Magazine GQ

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 14 Oct 2009 18:29:00 +0000

Stunning actress January Jones of hit US period drama Mad Men has gained a legion of fans for her portrayal of trophy wife and mother of two Betty Draper. The bored housewife with the Hitchcock blonde image has been seen suffering after revelations of husband Don Draper's cheating in the cult show set in the sixties.

But just in case anyone was under the illusion there were any similarities between the 31-year-old former model turned actress and the fictional desperate housewife, a raunchy photoshoot in men's magazine GQ should pretty much put paid to that.January has certainly put Betty's strait-laced image to bed with the revealing shoot in which she poses semi-nude, and in a variety of raunchy poses for the US version of the men's magazine.

Gone are the wasp-waisted day gowns, and in it's place a leather jacket under which she appears to be braless on the magazine cover. In the interview which accompanies the covershoot she reveals that her stellar success since joining the show should leave one particular star red-faced.The less than supportive A-lister - a former boyfriend - told her she would never be a success and that she should give up acting - because she wasn't any good at it.

Pink’s Hart & Huntington Hot Photo Shoot

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 13 Oct 2009 18:03:00 +0000

Pink’s Hart and Huntington sexy photo shoot is all around the net. The singer posed with her husband for his clothing link in a very hot campaign!Pink and her husband Carey Hart were on the rocks for a while, and it seemed like they were going to become another Hollywood statistic. But it looks like the couple s back on track, and their chemistry is hotter than ever.

Pink’s Hart and Huntington pictures have hit the web, and they are super sexy! The singer poses in clothing from her husband’s line, which is a spin off from his tattoo shop and is based on the designs of artists that work at the Hart and Huntington Tattoo Company. The clothing is super fun, with items like super short shorts, and crop tops – perfect summer wear.

Thought I am not a huge fan of Pink personally, there is no denying that she is super talented and has a killer body. No wonder she was fit enough to do that amazing trapeze show at this year’s Video Music Awards. Girlfriend is in shape! I am not a fan of all of her tattoos either, but they are fitting for her personality, and aren’t half bad.Hopefully we will get to see more another Pink Hart and Huntington sexy photo shoot in the near future. You can check out a fully gallery of the pictures here.
