On your lids, use Brush #1: Liberally sweep a dark wash of color all over your eyelids; the dense rounded bristles make it easy for you to cover the entire area with minimal effort.

In your creases, use Brush #2: Intensify your look by dusting a darker shadow into the creases of your eyes. The slanted bristles ensure that you won't mistakenly apply your shadow too high above the eye, or too low on the lid.

She was having lunch with her husband when they ran into a tall, muscular hottie that she knew from school. She introduced the guys, and promptly turned incredibly red with embarrassment.She swears it’s because she was eating with her fingers,but her husband thought she was flustered because she had a big old crush on Mr. Muscles,Lol and he wouldn’t let her hear the end of it (in a lighthearted way, he wasn’t really mad). Knowing my crazy-in-a-good-way friend--I’m not sure I completely believe she was embarrassed about eating with her fingers in a restaurant.

But hey, we’ve all been there. We’re only human and sometimes, other guys are very charming. Or they just smell really good. As long as it doesn’t go any further than a harmless crush and maybe a bit of innocent flirtation, I see no problem with it.

Back in the days(my first relationship),I could always tell when my boyfriend had a crush on another girl. He once gave a girl we had just met a drink--that I’d given him!--because she was thirsty. Hello obvious! And to be fair, he definitely noticed that his room mate’s pink lips made me swoon just a bit. The questions as to what is the right lingerie for your body type has disturbed women for years but there are some simple rules that you can follow that will help ensure that you do get the right lingerie for your body type. If you have a smaller size body type and bust then it is very important that you choose a piece of lingerie that has adjustable straps, an underwire bra and padding. Larger, endowed ladies or those who have a plus size body type will find that you are better off buying lingerie that doesn't have a strictly formed bra shape with under wire as this will allow more flexibility. Hello Divas,Its weekend and every woman wants to make sure that her weekend away with her boyfriend is special and one way to do that is to buy a special piece of lingerie that you can model just for him but what happens if you get it wrong. When choosing the piece for your weekend, you first need to work out whether it will be a piece you are going to wear out to dinner, a piece you will put on prior to retiring to bed or something you will surprise him with in the morning.

The most common type of lingerie that couples select for their weekend away for dinner is a nice sexy bra and panty set. If you are buying your lingerie for dinner then the two best colours to wear are either red or grey. The setting you are going to be in will depend on whether the bra and panty set come with suspenders or not. It is recommended that if you are in a formal dining environment in the city then suspenders are a must including stockings. If your weekend away is in the country, than a nice pair of jeans that suit your lingerie would be more appropriate.

Always make sure that the lingerie suits your outerwear. There are many nice sets of ruffle bra and panty sets but they wouldn't necessarily work with jeans. A flat style of lingerie would be more suitable.

If you are buying lingerie for retiring to bed, then satin is always the best way to go. What you buy is dependent on your goals. In a colder climate satin or silk long pajamas in either red or purple are the way to go with a long matching gown and matching g-string, thong or panty.

Remember the key with lingerie is that less is more. To make your weekend more exciting then slowly reveal what you are wearing. If your weekend away is in a warmer climate then a satin stretch sleepwear dress would be more appropriate with matching panty.

When choosing day lingerie, the really cool way to surprise him is to choose a piece that can be worn exposed. A nice external bustier is one way that you can achieve this. Alternatively, you can wear a buttoned shirt that part exposes the bustier or even a nice quality bra.

What is Breast Cancer and how does it happen?

According to www.breastcancer.org Breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells. To better understand breast cancer, it helps to understand how any cancer can develop.
Cancer occurs as a result of mutations, or abnormal changes, in the genes responsible for regulating the growth of cells and keeping them healthy. The genes are in each cell’s nucleus, which acts as the “control room” of each cell. Normally, the cells in our bodies replace themselves through an orderly process of cell growth: healthy new cells take over as old ones die out. But over time, mutations can “turn on” certain genes and “turn off” others in a cell. That changed cell gains the ability to keep dividing without control or order, producing more cells just like it and forming a tumour.Hmmmmmmmmm

A tumour can be benign (not dangerous to health) or malignant (has the potential to be dangerous). Benign tumours are not considered cancerous: their cells are close to normal in appearance, they grow slowly, and they do not invade nearby tissues or spread to other parts of the body. Malignant tumours are cancerous. Left unchecked, malignant cells eventually can spread beyond the original tumour to other parts of the body.

The term “breast cancer” refers to a malignant tumour that has developed from cells in the breast. Usually breast cancer either begins in the cells of the lobules, which are the milk-producing glands, or the ducts, the passages that drain milk from the lobules to the nipple. Less commonly, breast cancer can begin in the stromal tissues, which include the fatty and fibrous connective tissues of the breast.

Breast Anatomy

Over time, cancer cells can invade nearby healthy breast tissue and make their way into the underarm lymph nodes, small organs that filter out foreign substances in the body. If cancer cells get into the lymph nodes, they then have a pathway into other parts of the body. The breast cancer’s stage refers to how far the cancer cells have spread beyond the original tumor.

Breast cancer is always caused by a genetic abnormality (a “mistake” in the genetic material). However, only 5-10% of cancers are due to an abnormality inherited from your mother or father. About 90% of breast cancers are due to genetic abnormalities that happen as a result of the aging process and the “wear and tear” of life in general and hope you know guys have breast cancer too.

There are steps every person can take to help the body stay as healthy as possible and lower risk of breast cancer or a breast cancer recurrence (such as maintaining a healthy weight, not smoking, limiting alcohol, and exercising regularly). Always remember, breast cancer is never anyone's fault. Feeling guilty, or telling yourself that breast cancer happened because of something you or anyone else did, is not productive.

Symptoms & Diagnosis

Initially, breast cancer may not cause any symptoms. A lump may be too small for you to feel or to cause any unusual changes you can notice on your own. Often, an abnormal area turns up on a screening mammogram (x-ray of the breast), which leads to further testing.

In some cases, however, the first sign of breast cancer is a new lump or mass in the breast that you or your doctor can feel. A lump that is painless, hard, and has uneven edges is more likely to be cancer but sometimes cancers can be tender, soft, and rounded. So it's important to have anything unusual checked by your doctor.

According to the American Cancer Society, any of the following unusual changes in the breast can be a symptom of breast cancer:
• Swelling of all or part of the breast
• Skin irritation or dimpling
• Breast pain
• Nipple pain or the nipple turning inward
• Redness, scaliness, or thickening of the nipple or breast skin
• A nipple discharge other than breast milk
• A lump in the underarm area

These changes also can be signs of less serious conditions that are not cancerous, such as an infection or a cyst.It’s important to get any breast changes checked out promptly by a doctor.

Breast Cancer Tests: Screening, Diagnosis, and Monitoring

Whether you’ve never had breast cancer and want to increase your odds of early detection, you’ve recently been diagnosed, or you are in the midst of treatment and follow-up, you know that breast cancer and medical tests go hand in hand.
Most breast-cancer-related tests fall into one or more of the following categories:

• Screening tests: Screening tests (such as yearly mammograms) are given routinely to people who appear to be healthy and are not suspected of having breast cancer. Their purpose is to find breast cancer early, before any symptoms can develop and the cancer usually is easier to treat.
• Diagnostic tests: Diagnostic tests (such as biopsy) are given to people who are suspected of having breast cancer, either because of symptoms they may be experiencing or a screening test result. These tests are used to determine whether or not breast cancer is present and, if so, whether or not it has travelled outside the breast. Diagnostic tests also are used to gather more information about the cancer to guide decisions about treatment.

• Monitoring tests: Once breast cancer is diagnosed, many tests are used during and after treatment to monitor how well therapies are working. Monitoring tests also may be used to check for any signs of recurrence.

Also Breast self-examination (BSE), or regularly examining your breasts on your own, can be an important way to find a breast cancer early, when it's more likely to be treated successfully. Not every cancer can be found this way, but it is a critical step you can and should take for yourself.

5 steps of breast self-examination

Step 1: Begin by looking at your breasts in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your arms on your hips.
Here's what you should look for:
• Breasts that are their usual size, shape, and colour
• Breasts that are evenly shaped without visible distortion or swelling
If you see any of the following changes, bring them to your doctor's attention:
• Dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin
• A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple (pushed inward instead of sticking out)
• Redness, soreness, rash, or swelling
Breast Self-Exam - Step 1

Step 2: Now, raise your arms and look for the same changes.

Step 3: While you're at the mirror, look for any signs of fluid coming out of one or both nipples (this could be a watery, milky, or yellow fluid or blood).

Step 4: Next, feel your breasts while lying down, using your right hand to feel your left breast and then your left hand to feel your right breast. Use a firm, smooth touch with the first few finger pads of your hand, keeping the fingers flat and together. Use a circular motion, about the size of a quarter.
Cover the entire breast from top to bottom, side to side — from your collarbone to the top of your abdomen, and from your armpit to your cleavage.
Follow a pattern to be sure that you cover the whole breast. You can begin at the nipple, moving in larger and larger circles until you reach the outer edge of the breast. You can also move your fingers up and down vertically, in rows, as if you were mowing a lawn. This up-and-down approach seems to work best for most women. Be sure to feel all the tissue from the front to the back of your breasts: for the skin and tissue just beneath, use light pressure; use medium pressure for tissue in the middle of your breasts; use firm pressure for the deep tissue in the back. When you've reached the deep tissue, you should be able to feel down to your ribcage.

Over the last five years in Nigeria, there has been an explosion of lingerie stores (both online and physical stores) We have seen many new players like fashion models, actresses and socialites develop their own brands of lingerie and flaunt them in the market place; however this has created challenges for women in choosing the right type of lingerie for their body.

There are five key tips you should consider when looking to buy ANY lingerie.

Tip 1: Check the Sizing for the Lingerie
Most lingerie stores will not allow you to try on their lingerie and this is often due to hygiene rules.Most especially if you are buying online,there is no way you will check to see if its your size.Therefore it is very important to carefully check the sizing of the lingerie.
Contrary to popular belief, there is no single standard for lingerie measurements or sizes but there are things you can do to decrease the chance of buying a piece of lingerie that doesn't fit. Most designers when creating their lingerie range will in fact develop a sizing scale for their range. The sizing scale will tell you how to measure yourself and where to measure yourself for the best outcome.
Many clients become concerned about buying lingerie online, however you will find that those stores usually have the sizing
information easily accessible compared to physical stores.

Tip 2: Check the Fabric Type of the Lingerie
Fabric type is one of the critical choices any women can make. When looking either online or in a shop check to see what the fabric is made of and the style. Often products that are marked as OS (one size) are often made of very stretchy material which can be easily torn.
Other fabric styles, especially some made of pvc can also be very uncomfortable on some skin types. Before buying any piece, check on the internet by visiting some of the online forums and newsgroups and see what people have written about the garments you are going to purchase.

Tip 3: Check the Returns Policy of the Store
Most lingerie stores in Nigeria have a no-returns policy for lingerie or underwear unless the item is faulty. For example if you were buying a piece of lingerie for a plus size lady, it would most likely not be appropriate to purchase a g-string or thong for her. Don't Neglect The Negligees
Negligees are basically any item of lingerie that resembles a dress (mini or floor length).
The most flattering negligee is the Baby Doll design, which basically starts out tight around the breasts and then opens up (it's usually see-through; yum) and stops right under her buttocks, yet another bone -us.

Another wonderful thing about the Baby Doll design is that many of them are open down the middle starting under the breasts, which in turn, gives "easy access" a whole spanking new meaning*wink.

Another hot seller is the Chemise that is basically a silky plain mini dress that drapes her body and ends at her thighs.Oh, I forgot the best part; most of these negligees come with G-string or thong underwear.Can I get a yayyyy?

Guys,If bras aren't your thing and you don't seem to have any luck removing them though some guys can remove it with one hand -- or even their teeth,hahaha!, why don't you buy her a Camisole instead? Remember your art class in primary school about the colour chart? Well you can use that knowledge to help you with mixing your colours. The colours at the center of the wheel are Primary colours; Red, Yellow and Blue. By mixing equal amounts of the primary colours you get Secondary colours,the inner ring. By mixing the primary colours with the secondary colours you get the outer ring, tertiary colours. We will work with the outer ring.

Colours opposite each other on the colour wheel are complimentary colours and those next to each other are analogous colours; they are in the same colour hue. Also there are Warm colours; these are the yellows, reds and oranges, they convey energy and have a warm psychological effect on us. Then there are Cool colours; these are blues, greens and violet, they have a calming effect.
With this simple knowledge it’s very easy to colour block without looking like a clown.

The secret to pulling it off is choosing shades that are the direct opposites on the colour wheel. Try clashing pink and yellow, orange and blue to create the most effective blocking effect.

DO: Choose shades that have the same level of intensity. You can't team fluro yellow with blah purple - make sure that each piece has the same amount of grunt otherwise the look will be unbalanced.

DON'T: Add prints, stripes, florals or patterns of any kind when colour blocking an outfit - it's a fast track to circus clown.LOL

COLOUR TONE If you're scared of super bright colours you can try colour toning. Similar to blocking, it uses shades within the same family.

DO: Opt for neutrals, metallic or black accessories to keep the look simple and allow the colour to pop.

DON'T: Accessorise with bags and shoes in the same shade as your outfit - this look belongs to 1985 and it needs to stay there.

COLOUR POP- My favourite way to wear brights is in a single pop. One colour, on one item in your look. Try a pink shift dress, a yellow bag or an aqua shoe.

This is a way of dipping your toe into the trend and working it back with the basics in your wardrobe like black, white and denim.

DO: Choose seriously bright colours when wearing a single statement piece. Don't be afraid to go a little crazy - think fluro, neon, even sequins.

DON'T: Jumble your hues. Be strict. The key to successfully pulling this look off is restraint.

BODY TRICK: Know your shape and use colour to work it. If you're pear shaped opt for darker colours on your bottom half. If you have a tummy avoid horizontal blocks across the stomach, minimize a large bust with a darker shade on top, maximise a smaller décolletage with the reverse. Colour blocking looks great on an hourglass shape when you cut the look in half - right on the waistline.

Get your combos right

To flawlessly accomplish this trend, choose the right colour combinations. Examples of colour-block colours that work well together are pink and purple, yellow and green, red and pink, cobalt-blue and red.

The brighter the better

If you are bold enough for colour blocking, there is no point in investing in pale colours and pastel shades ( no matter how much they clash). That would just look faint hearted. Go bright or go home!

Invest in a pair of coloured jeans

A bright pair of jeans is a good start for a colour blocking newbie and a staple for a colour blocking addict. Something in the colours pink, red or blue will do it for you.

Mix up your fabric

To avoid looking like you are off to a rave, chose rich fabric such as silk, satin and taffeta in bright colours. They will add a splash of luxury to your look and give the bright block colour an even more sumptuous feel.

Do not overdo it

It’s not that more than three to four colours don’t look nice, it just looks very ramp-ish. Besides more colours will keep cutting your body shape here and there, in this way accomplishing the opposite of its intended effect.

Colour blocking without colour clashing

If you don’t feel brave enough to clash your colours, you can still wear the colour blocking trend by wearing one vibrant shade from top to bottom for example, wear a long dress in sunshine yellow, bright red or eye-popping pink.

Tone the look down with a simple black or white tee

A black or white tee in a cotton and/or silk mix will complement bright coloured trousers or skirts beautifully.

Add pops of colours with accessories

The easiest way to wear the colour blocking trend is to add an accessory or two in deliciously-bright colours. A bright pink clutch bag, a pair of neon yellow shoes, a vivid blue bangle is all you need to lift an understated outfit up.

Mix bright colours with light hues

A simple way to tone the look down is by wearing one brightly coloured piece and keeping the rest of the outfit muted by wearing neutral shades. For example, a colour block shift dress in red or bright orange will look fantastic with nude shoes.

Wear brightly coloured stripes

If you still don’t have the balls to rock this trend all-out, you can start subtly by investing in a dress with vivid coloured stripes. And then progress gradually till you are bold enough to do a thorough colour block.

Keep the look suitable for work

The best way to wear this trend for work is by choosing items in colours that are updated styles of usual work wear. For example, swap your navy suit with a more vivid blue. Tone the look down with a simple white shirt.

Dear Worried Boyfriend,

Perhaps your worries about hygiene arise from watching too much soft-core porn in which women get in the shower and soap their breasts for extended periods. This is not because breasts are intrinsically dirty but because such scenes are gratifying to dirty minds. If bra hygiene were an actual issue, don't you think it would have been subjected to decades of commercials along the lines of, "What's that smell?" "It's Kemmy's bra.LOL.Someone has to tell her!"

On your behalf, I actually polled some of the cleanest women I know on their bra-washing schedules. The answers ranged from "weekly" to "when my white bras look black and can walk themselves to the washing machine." The average was a monthly laundering. Here at the Sexy Little Things,We believe Lingerie is more than just bras and panties. No other article of clothing holds the symbolism and the significance of lingerie. Whether it's your first bra or something else entirely...lingerie touches almost every aspect of our lives. Here are 3 life lessons I believe we can learn from lingerie.

1) You can't fake a good fit. You know when your bra fits and you know when it doesn't. It doesn't matter how many adjustments you make or what the sales lady tells you...you just know. The same is true of life. Friends, Relationships, Jobs...they either fit or they don't. And when it doesn't fit, don't force it. Otherwise (much like an ill-fitting bra) you'll wind up in a lot of pain and discomfort that you could have avoided.

2) Treat what you love with care. By now, you've probably heard that your lingerie should always be washed by hand and hung to dry...never subjected to the vagaries of a machine washer and dryer. Yes, it takes a little more time (and we all know how precious that is) but the benefit is that you'll have an undergarment that lasts for years...all because you took proper care of it. The same is true for life. The people we value should be treated with care. Yes, it'll take more time, but it's worth it for the relationships that truly matter.

3) You are your own best reason. Lingerie isn't just for your significant other. The very best reason to buy beautiful lingerie (whatever beautiful means to you) is because of how it makes you feel. You deserve to feel good and any lingerie that helps with that is worth the price tag...no matter how big or how small. By the same token, you don't have to wait for the right person to show up before you start taking care of yourself. You are your own best reason for living the life you want.

Lust
Drooling over something just because you saw a model wearing it in a magazine ad and then buying that something because your subconscious whispered that it'll make you look like the model. No, sweetie, it won't. If you have real boobs, you'll need a real bra...not a bralette.

Pride
Buying lingerie in the size you used to be. Here's the deal--if you lose weight, gain weight, get pregnant, have a baby, stop breastfeeding, or do anything else that changes the way your boobies fit in your bras then you need to have a professional refitting. The same rule applies to panties. Don't buy knickers in the size you wish you were; buy them in the size you actually are. Your bum (and the rest of your bits) will thank you.

Sloth
Not taking care of your lingerie. How often have we heard the handwashing rule? The no dryer rule? The no wringing rule? Plain and simple--your lingerie will look better and last longer if you take care of it. That means your knickers should never touch the inside of a machine washer and/or dryer. And if you really want to get hardcore about lingerie care, then invest in quality products like specialty washes and cotton hosiery gloves. I promise you'll notice the difference.

Envy
Being jealous of someone else's lingerie (this also includes being jealous of their figure).The 21st century has a bigger variety of sizes, a wider range of colors, and better quality fabrics than any other time in the past 100 years. There is no reason whatsoever to wear lingerie that doesn't make you look and feel like a goddess.

Gluttony
Buying anything and everything...especially if it's on sale or cheap. All together now...it's not a deal if you never wear it. There are plenty of good, inexpensive bras out there that will amortize to thousands per wear if taken care of properly.

Wrath
Hating on other people's lingerie. Yes, I know g-strings aren't your thing. Yes, I know you prefer stockings over pantyhose but there is no reason to call people who wear those items by bad names or to create entire web forums, discussion boards, and blogs dedicated to badmouthing those people.

Greed
Buying lingerie out of your price range, even if you have to borrow to get it. Yes, I too can be seduced by the beauty of a perfect pair of high waist, chantilly lace, hand embroidered panties...but that doesn't mean they're worth a month of ramen dinners, much less going into debt over. If that lingerie keeps calling your name, set up a separate bank account, and then treat yourself after you sock away enough money to pay for it in cash.

What makes someone a Lingerie expert?

Last month,I was talking to a lady about lingerie and she said to me "For someone who isn't a lingerie expert, you sure know a lot about lingerie."

Now, I wasn't offended by her comment. I've always been completely open and honest about the fact that I've never worked for a lingerie boutique, a lingerie brand, or a lingerie designer. I'm proud of being one of the very few lingerie bloggers out there who doesn't come from a fashion, media background. I have been talking about lingerie since i started the business from an everyday woman's point of view...not from the industry point of view.

I don't believe working in a lingerie boutique is enough in and of itself to make one a lingerie expert. I've had a bra fitting at one of the most famous lingerie boutiques in London and was left unimpressed. And I'm sure we've all had the experience of visiting a lingerie boutique and realizing the staff knew very little about the merchandise (which, if you're a boutique owner reading this, is really not okay).

I don't believe working for a lingerie brand necessarily makes you a lingerie expert either.You'll learn that particular brand's products inside and out, but how much of your knowledge is generalizable to other brands? Not to mention the inherent conflict of interest in working for one brand--you're automatically inclined to think their products are best for everyone...when that may not be the case.

And, to bring things a little bit closer to home, I don't believe being a writer or an editor (yes, even a writer or editor of a lingerie publication) automatically makes you an expert. As I mentioned in this article,one of the lesser-known secrets of the lingerie industry (and of fashion in general) is that the brand with the biggest PR team wins. Which means there is a lot of amazing lingerie we never, ever hear about.

I guess what I'm asking is the same question from the title, "What makes someone a lingerie expert?" I don't think you have to be an "expert" to know what fits and flatters your body, or to know what you like and don't like. And you certainly don't need to live in a fashion capital or have a huge lingerie budget to be an expert...though I think that's the message we get from the media sometimes.

I've said a lot about what I don't think so far...so here's what I do think. I think every woman has the ability and the capacity to become a lingerie expert, even if you're just a lingerie expert for yourself. Being passionate about lingerie, being curious about lingerie, being well-informed about lingerie, and being willing to make a lingerie mistake or two...that's what makes you an expert (and a lingerie addict too, for that matter). It's not necessarily about being told what to wear or telling others what to wear, it's about caring enough to make sure you are wearing the best possible undies you can. That your lingerie fits, flatters, and makes you feel like the amazing woman you already are.

I know this is a controversial position. I'm basically saying that everyone's a lingerie expert...or that no one's a lingerie expert but I've been turning this question over for awhile, and I'm really interested in what other people have to say. So what do you think, dear readers? What makes someone a lingerie expert? Can we all be lingerie experts? Are lingerie experts helpful at all?
