Egg Delivery Decor Piece Featuring Bunny Hop

Long before I started making mini albums I made a lot of 3D projects. So for my final design team project I decided to make a decor piece using elements from the Bunny Hop line and some Doodlebug SVG Files.

I used the adorable Bunny in Truck SVG file from Lori Whitlock to create this cute decor piece. The base elements were cut with my Glowforge from lightweight birch wood but this could be done by cutting the elements with a Cricut or Silhouette, tracing on to foam board and cutting by hand. To fill out the scene I added the the Striped Egg SVG file and the Bunny Hop Tree.

For my base I used a random splat shape from Cricut Design Space because I wanted a more organic base. Into that piece I cut a well to add a little shaker element using the Bunnies and Chicks Shakers and Spring Flowers Shakers. I covered my base with the Spring Sprouts and May Flowers 12x12 papers cut with my Cricut.

For the truck I wanted to make this as dimensional as possible so I cut and layered some of the elements from the SVG file. I covered these elements with papers from the Bunny Hop Coordinating Cardstock and Coordinating Petite Print papers. I also added the Egg Shape Sprinkles in the back of the the truck. I added a Chit Chat piece on the door of the truck as well.

For a finishing touch I made a tiny banner to hang on the trees using the Bunny Hop Puffy Icons and some Bubblegum Doodle Twine.

When a collection as fun as Lucky Me has so many cute icons to choose from how do you incorporate a bunch into one project? Make a sampler!

Samplers are a fun was to make a cute decor piece and make good use of all your embellishments. I started with a Limeade Gingham Linen Petite Print paper. I then layered on nine squares 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" using the Lucky Me Cardstock Assortment. Each block then gets layered again with a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square of patterned paper. When doing a sampler you'll want to pop up as many elements and layers as possible with foam tape to really make the elements pop.

The center square is the only one without a patterned paper mat. For this one I just popped up the Lucky Me sticker from the This and That sticker sheet. I added some Lots of Luck shape sprinkles and a lady bug from the All the Things pack.

The rest of the squares I used a combination of the All the Things pack, Icon stickers and Lots of Luck shape sprinkles and Rainbow Bright shape sprinkles. I also used some of the Lucky Lady Icon Sprinkles.

I added the Lucky Leprechaun Doodle Pop on the center bottom square.

Now I can add it to one of my Doodlebug clipboards or frame it and I have a fun March decor piece!

Lucky Me Leprechaun Trap

As soon as I saw the Lucky Me collection I knew I needed to make a leprechaun trap! This is super easy to put together and there is a full video tutorial linked at the bottom of this post.

The overall trap is 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" and the box itself can absolutely be repurposed as a photo storage box or a card storage box or even a box to hold a mini album. The top has a window so you can see inside to check if you trapped your leprechaun! I used the new Rainbow Dots Heavyweight acetate for the window.

The trap is "set" by raising the little prop that is attached to the front of the box with a Ladybug Chunky Brad. The prop is made from a craft stick from the dollar store. I also constructed a little ladder using craft sticks to help the leprechaun climb inside. When the prop falls it catches behind the Rainbow word from the All the Things pack.

On the front we have a bunch of garden items from the All the Things pack and a leprechaun. I fussy cut the pot of gold from one of the cut aparts because I'd used my other two on my other projects.

I add the Happy St. Patrick's Day sentiment and a couple more elements from the All the Things pack to the top.

The box is matted on all four sides and I used two of the border strips that left attached around the top of the box and on the closure.

I've been on a card making kick lately so as soon as I got my hands on the new Lucky Me collection I knew I needed to make some fun acetate cards!

I used one sheet of the new Rainbow Drops Heavy Acetate for my card bases. I cut two A4 card bases and used the leftover to cut a "spine" for a third card.

For my first card I kept it simple. I used the "spine" scrap and a couple of sheets from the 6x8 Lucky Me paper pad to make my card. I decorated it with pieces from the All the Things pack and some Lucky Me Sprinkles.

I hid my inside leprechaun behind the balloon on the front of the card. I also used the Lucky Me sentiment on the front of the card to hide the inside sentiment. Both came from the All the Things pack.

For my second card I used one of my card bases and a 4x4 cut apart from the Color Me Happy sheet in the collection kit. I cut the center out and used the leftover frame for the top of my shaker. I backed it with clear Doodlebug Heavyweight acetate.

I adhered the center to the front of card and added my Rainbow Bright Shakers then finished it off with the top frame. Since I overfilled my shaker I added a sentiment from the All the Things pack and a small rainbow along with some Sprinkles.

Inside I added some more 4x4 mats from the My Lucky Charm 12x12 paper. This is to cover the adhesive on the back of the shaker. I also added another sentiment from the All the Things pack along with a flower cluster and one of the adorable Lucky Lady Icon Sprinkles.

For my third card I used the You are My Sunshine Doodle Cuts to cut the rainbow and cloud shapes into the front of my card base. I then die cut the rainbow from the Lucky Me Coordinating Cardstock pack and assembled it. I added to the inside of the card directly behind the cutout. I cut a number of extra clouds and layered them together to give them dimension and topped them with a final cloud cut from the Plaid Polka Dot 6x6 Petite Print paper pad.

I finished it off with a sentiment from the All the Things pack and the sun die cut. Inside I backed those with a second sentiment and another sun.

Snow Much Fun at Disneyland Layout

For my final Snow Much Fun Project I decided to do a simple layout. I decided to document a fun event on a Disneyland trip. We went at the end of Feburary a couple of years ago and got snowed on! It only lasted ten minutes and melted almost immediately but it was so fun and unexpected!

For my layout I started with the All Bundled Up paper and added the Spot of Snow paper at an angle on top. I added my title from the Chit Chat pack and lots of snowflakes from the Bits and Pieces.

I matted my photos with a coordinating solid and layered then onto the layout. I also matted my journaling cut apart with the same solid.

Finally, I layered together the two little flags from the Chit Chat and topped them with a snowflake.

Snow Much Fun Winter Banner

I like making small seasonal banners for my craft room. I realized I didn't have a winter themed one I liked so I decided to use Snow Much Fun to fix that!

My banner pieces are 4" x 6" and are layered to create a shaker on each. I used my Cricut and basic shapes to cut my banner and the top pieces. The bases are cut from the coordinating solids so that the snowflakes on the acetate would show better. The tops were cut from the 6x6 paper pad so I could use the smaller prints.

To assemble each banner piece I added strong tape to the back of the banner piece with the centers cut out. Rather than try and cut the acetate with my Cricut I just cut the sheet into 4" x 6" pieces. I adhered the piece to the acetate and then used my scissors to cut out anything that was hanging over. I then added foam tape to the base piece and added my Snow Crystals Shakers and then finished assembly.

Next I cut my letters using my cricut and cut them from both grey and black and layered them together to create a little shadow. I also cut the large snowflake using the Snow Fun Snowflakes 4 file from Lori Whitlock. I added two shadow layers to the snowflakes using the offset function in Design Space.

Finally, I strung it all together using Lilac Chunky Twine. I then embellished with Odds and Ends pieces and an entire pack of the Snow Much Fun Sprinkles Assortment.

Snow Much Fun Gatefold Album

Doodlebug's Snow Much Fun collection is in my top five all time favorites so I was thrilled to get the chance to work with it again! For my project today I've made a gatefold mini album. The overall album measures 8" x 8" with a 1 1/4" spine. I used the Let It Snow Heavy acetate to do a faux belly band closure.

Inside, the right and left inside covers have stacked pockets. I used leftover acetate as photo mat inserts. The pockets are build on flap with more photo space underneath.

In the center is a photo flap and lots of yetis! On the back is an acetate pocket. I matted inside the pocket with one of the coordinating solids from the collection to really make the snowflakes on the acetate stand out.

The next page has a 5" x 7" photo mat. On the back is a large belly band with a waterfall using the 3x4 cut apart elements from the collection.

Next we have an acetate pocket flap. The pocket opens from the back side of the flap and there are a couple of small photo mats there as well.

The last flap has a large pocket and I used the tag cut apart paper to make a smaller pocket on top. The back of this flap has a couple of photo spots and more of the cute Odds and Ends.

The back of the album has an acetate belly band and two 5" x 7" trifold inserts. I managed to use almost the entire This and That Sticker Sheet throughout this project.

Oh What Fun Small Tag Album

I love tag albums. I've done them in many sizes from large 6x8 to small using only the Doodlebug tag paper that is typically in a collection. But smaller tag albums are perfect for using up scraps!

Today I have a smaller tag album using my left overs from Oh What Fun. My tags base are 3" wide and 5" tall. I angled to tops and punched holes. I used three colors of Doodlebug Textured Cardstock from the coordinating solids pack but you could use more colors or even make them all the same color.

The front and back covers of my tag album are cut from the new Christmas Magic acetate. The heavy Doodlebug acetate is amazing from tag albums. On the front I used one of my leftover stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. To that I added a couple of the gingerbread men from the Goody Goody Gumdrops shape sprinkles.

Inside I used the number squares from the 12x12 paper pack (Flannel Season paper) on the front of each tag. This would be a super simple way to make a quick December Daily style album. Some of the number squares are add to a white flap so you could journal or add small pictures underneath. I did leave the back of each tag blank to add a picture.

I mixed leftovers from the 12x12 papers and the 6x8 pad. Here I added one of the small journaling cut aparts from the 6x8 pad.

To decorate the front of each tag I've used a variety of Mini Icons, Icons, Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, and Bits and Pieces. The larger embellishments hang off the sides of the tags and just add an extra pop.

I finished it up with a final acetate tag for the back cover and added another sticker from the This and That sticker sheet.

I love making folios and the Doodlebug 6x8 paper pads are perfect for them! For today's project I used 100lb cardstock for my base to make this simple Envelope Folio.

On my cover I used the adorable Hello Santa Doodle-Pop along with one of the mini cut aparts from the 6x8 pad and the clipboard die cut from the Bits and Pieces pack. The flap is cut to a point to look like the flap of an envelope.

On the front inside cover is the other "half" of the envelope with an angled pocket.

Inside there are more pockets, including the new addition to the Bits and Pieces pack the little notched piece shown above!

All the way inside there is a small waterfall on top of a side loading pocket.

There are also several large flaps that will hold 5x7 photos.

Doodlebug Oh What Fun! Layout Book

As you all know by now I love making mini albums. I've always liked traditional 12x12 layouts but I wanted to take a different approach. For my project this week I mad a 12x12 layout book. This book has a chipboard base and then the layouts are inserts as pages in the album. This entire project can be done with one collection kit, the Odds and Ends, Chit Chat and a few sheets of textured cardstock and petite prints. In all the book has three two page layouts and four single page layouts.

I didn't add any photo mats to the cover but you could! I did add a journaling cut apart and items from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat. I added some Lily White Doodle Twine at the top to "hang" the ornaments.

The front inside cover is fairly simple using the Cupcake Gingham Linen Petite Print and some borders from the collection kit. The journaling cut apart is tucked behind one of the photo mats and can be taken out.

The first single page layout will hold a total of eight photos - the two portrait photo mats are also flaps!

The first double page layout is all about those little gingerbread men. They're peeking out from behind photo mats and they've scattered candy all over the pages!

The next double page layout used just a Ladybug Candy Stripe Sprinkle Petite Print with the white page bases. I've used the train pieces from the Bits and Pieces and replaced the engine with the Santa's on His Way Doodle Pop. On the second page I've used the Playful Pixies and Santa's Elves Doodle Pops to help get the sleigh ready!

The last double page layout uses more of the journaling cut aparts and has some more photo flips. One the first page I've added the little village buildings from the Odds and Ends. The 3 1/2" x 5" photo mats on the second page are put on white flaps to hold more photos.

The next page is another single page layout. I've added a landscape 5" x 7" photo mat and a journaling cut apart. I just love the little Santa wearing the tree hat from the Odds and Ends!

And the last single page layout on the back in side cover has four photo mats and Santa and Mrs. Claus ready to Christmas Day!

Do you send out Christmas cards? Every year I mean to send them and then run out of time! So how do you get around that? Make them now!

I decided to use the Cards and Envelopes Pack and ALL the new dies and stamps to make a set of Christmas cards.

For the first card I went very simple. I took a piece of Lily White Candy Stripe Sprinkle Petite prints for a mat and cut the scalloped end using the Borders and Edges Doodle Cuts dies. I then decorated using the Oh What Fun Puffy Works and Puffy Icons.

For my second card I used Happy Holidays Doodle Cuts dies for this fun Santa card. I matted the card with Limeade Gingham Linen Petite Prints. I used the Puffy Words again for my sentiments.

For my third card I cut a rainbow of trees using the Merry Christmas Doodle Cuts dies. I cut only the trees that don't have a trunk since that area was going to be covered up. I used a blending brush and inks to ink a little coordinating halo behind the different trees. I blended along the bottom in red. I then added a white strip and topped that with a Ladybug Plaid Polka Dot strip. My sentiment is cut with the die set but I cut it several times out of white and layered them together before topping with the red sentiment.

For the next two cards I stamped and colored the images from the Oh What Fun Doodle Stamps set and cut them with the coordinating dies. There is a little tag die on that set that I used for the front of this card. I added two 1 1/4" wide strips of Limeade Gingham Linen Petite Print to look like ribbon on a package. I tied Ladybug Chunky Twine on my tag and adhered it with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Puffy Words.

The next card I matted with a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" Candy Stripe Sprinkle Petite print. I used the Puffy Words again for my sentiment on a strip of white cardstock that I lightly inked with red ink. I put all my little colored gingerbread men at the top and my ornaments at the bottom. I added some Ladybug Doodle Twine to make an ornament garland or sorts.

For my last card I used the Deck the Halls Doodle Cuts dies to make a shaker. I filled the shaker with the new Christmas Confetti and Peppermints Shakers. I matted the front with Bumblebee Dot Stripe Petite Prints topped with a white panel that had been lightly inked in pink. I finished it off with the sentiment from the Puffy Words and some snowflakes from the Snow What Fun Shape Sprinkles.

It's a BOO-tiful Day!

The Hey Pumpkin Collection has some of the cutest images! I have many favorites in this collection and it was hard to choose but I decided to make a little door hanger with the Boo Ghost! I used the Boo Ghost SVG file from Lori Whitlock to make this cute little decor piece. The little glasses on this guy are just the cutest!

First I cut three layers of black chipboard for my base using my Cricut.

I added small holes to each one to thread my chunky twin through to hang it. I tied it on the back side so that the body of the ghost hides it on the front.

Next I layered together my ghost. There is a grey base layer and then the white. Theres a small black oval that goes behind his eyes and little smile.

Next up are the glasses and banner. I cut the little banner pieces from the 6x6 paper pad. I usedfoam tape to pop up the glasses. I also used foam tape to pop up the layers of the front of the BOO banner and then another layer behind.

And it's the perfect addition to my craft room for the spooky season!

Monsters in the Closet - Doodlebug Design Team

There might be monsters in your closet! Thankfully they're the super cute Doodlebug kind!

This week I'm working with the adorable Monster Madness collection. I have always loved this collection and never had a chance to work with it when it first came out so I was THRILLED to get to use it for my project with week!

I have made a very simple 5x7 mini album. The inspiration for this project was the Odds and Ends pieces with the monsters and ghost peeking out of the door. I used the Haunted Door cut file from Lori Whitlock (https://shop.loriwhitlock.com/monster-mash-haunted-door) to make the door for the front of my album. Rather than cutting the same monsters I used the Mini Monsters, Boo to You, and Candy Monster Doodle-Pops. I added my Spooky title from the Chit Chat pack.

Inside are four pages, all with the same layout. I added a pocket to the front of each page and flap that I have decorated like a door using the Monster Madness Solid Cardstock Pack. For doorknobs I used the Halloween Assortment Sprinkles. Each door also got a Chit Chat pieces as door decor.

Inside each pocket is an insert that will fit 4x6 photos. There are monsters from the Odds and Ends pack hanging out on the edge of each insert so it looks like they are peeking out the doors as you flip through the album.

On the last page of the album I added the Odds and Ends piece that inspired my album.

And on the back of the album I couldn't help myself and I build a little scene using some more of the Odds and Ends.

When you need a fall gift or a thank you gift Farmhouse is the perfect collection. The warm fall colors and leaves and flowers are just so cozy! For this project I decided to make a gift crate and fill it with Doodlebug product perfect for card making.

I made the crate out of kraft cardstock and matted it with Kraft Buffalo Check Wood Grain Petite Print. I measured the inside and did a bunch of math and added the Fall Floral 12x12 paper draped off the sides as if I'd added a tea towel or something inside. I score this to fit down inside It shows through the slats on the side and the back side of the paper hangs over the front and back.

On the ends I used various elements from the Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, and Odds and Ends, and Puffy Icons. On the front and back I clustered more ephemera and added the Thankful for You Shaker Pop.

I finished it off with a tag from the Bits and Pieces pack and decorated it with Puffy Icons and Puffy Words from Butterfly Kisses. I tied the tag on with Mint, Bon Bon, and Tangerine Doodle Twine.

I filled the crate with Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, Mini Icons, Puffy Icons, ALL the Doodlepops, and coordinating Cards and Envelopes Pack and 6x6 Farmhouse Paper Pad. I added Chunky Twine in Mint, Tangerine, and Bon Bon to all of them to make the whole thing more fun.

Farm Stand Shaker Mini Album with Farmers Market

I am so excited to get to play with the Farmers Market collection! This is in my top five favorite Doodlebug Collections. The little veggie elements, the fall colors, it's perfection! For my project today I decided to do a simple 5x7 mini album. This album has six pages and will hold about 50 4x6 photos.

On the front I created a little farm stand shaker. When this collection first came out I made a large folio with a farm stand on the cover and it was so fun to reimagine it on a smaller scale for this album. I used lightweight chipboard to build the "stand" and matted it with Buffalo Check Wood Grain 6x6 Petite Prints. For the "shelves" I used one of the border stickers from the This and That sticker sheet mounted on narrow foam tape. I used the Veggie Garden Puffy Icons for all my veggies. I added a couple of bees and a lady bug from the Farmers Market Puffy Icons. Inside the shaker I used Lily White, Ladybug, Bumblebee, Tangerine, and Limeade Shakers.

Inside there are six pages done on a stacked hinge. Each page has a front flap and a back pocket. The pockets each have a 4x6 photo mat. I decorated the inside with various elements from the Farmers Market Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, and This and That Sticker Sheet.

Summer Fun Junk Journal Using Doodlebug Cards and Envelopes

I love junk journals. I've done lots with old Little Golden Books and other things and they're so freeing. You can do whatever you want and whatever feels right in the moment. So for this week's project I decided to decided to push myself and do a different kind of junk journal with my scraps and leftover ephemera.

I made my cover from some leftover Summer Fun Acetate. I cut it to 7" x 12" and scored it at 5 1/2" and 6 1/2". I punched holes on the top and bottom and added elastic cord. On the front I used stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. At the top I used my Tiny Attacher to add some pieces from the Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces. I also added a traveler's notebook style closure with some more of the elastic cord.

Inside are two signatures. For the base of each signature I used leftover papers (Let's Luau and Paradise Palms). Inside I used the Summer Card and Envelope pack to make the pages of each signature. The envelopes work great as pockets. Most of the envelopes I fold in half so half the envelope is on one side and half is on the other.

As a small, but fun, decoration on some of the envelopes I used the Doodle Stamps. I used the new Flamazing Doodle Stamps, as well as Sea Life and Seaside Summer Doodle Stamps in places. I just thought it was a fun way to use those stamp sets.

To finish things off I distressed and inked papers to create pockets and other elements. I used a couple of leftover Doodle Pops and and lots of extra Odds and Ends.

Summer Fun Easy 6x8 Folio

I absolutely the adore the 6x8 paper pads from Doodlebug. You get 24 papers for a reasonable price and they are adorable. They are perfect for cards and smaller non-card projects amd that's what I have for you today!

Today I have a simple folio using one 6x8 Summer Fun paper pad. I had quite a bit left over and will probably use if for more photo mats. This goes together super quick and of course there is a tutorial!

One the cover I took some of the large stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and matted them on white cardstock and fussy cut them out. I took one of the sentiment stickers from the same sheet and added it as a sentiment. I finished it off with one of the border stickers and the Diggin' Summer sandcastle Doodle Pop.

Inside I used the title page from the 6x8 pad and added some of the Tropical Trio Doodle Pops to decorate it. On the opposite side I've added a 4x6 photo mat and used the Icon Stickers and Puffy Words to add a title to the page. I finished it off with the little toucan from the Tropical Trio Doodle Pop set.

On the left side under the top flap we have a pocket that I matted with one of the 4x6 cut aparts from the Summer Fun 6x8 paper pad. I also used the border sheet and the journaling cutaparts. I added the last animal from the Tropical Trio Doodle Pop set and a couple of the flowers from the Puffy Words sheet.

On another left side flap I have another 4x6 photo mat that I've added a title using the Puffy Words and decorated with Icon Stickers.

On the right side of the folio I've added belly bands and pockets as well. For these pages I've decorated with Puffy Words, Sam and Sally Seahorse Doodle Pops, and Icon stickers. It was so fun to use the Puffy Words in a different way!

Summer Fun Shaker Album

There is so much to love about the new Summer Fun collection! The cute wave patterened acetate, the Bitty Bubbles and Fishies shakers, literally every piece in the Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, and Bits and Pieces - I used them all! Today I have a shaker cover mini album using the Summer Fun collection.

The finished album measures 8" x 8" with a 2" spine. I used my Glowforge to cut the Summer Fun title into the spine and backed it with the Gull Friends paper. The shaker on the front cover I used a mix of the Bitty Bubble and the Fishies shakers. Through the shaker you can see a photo mat inside the pocket on the front insde cover.

Inside we have three packed pages with lots of flaps for all your pictures. One of my favorite elements is the Polaroid-style cut aparts on Flamazing paper. Here I've used it as the focal on the first page.

I've used the various Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces to build ephemera clusters. On this page I used the flowers from the Bits and Pieces to build a floral cluster on the bottom corner of my flap.

On the back page I used leftover Summer Fun acetate for a photo mat. That mat is used to keep the flaps closed, I added Chit Chat and Odds and Ends on top of the small belly bands and under where my acetate photo mat sits.

Underneath those flap are two more held closed with a 4x6 photo mat.

That opens to a layout page with lots of photo mats. I used an assortment of Odds and Ends and Chit Chat to finish it off.

Bee Happy Beehive Tag Album

For my second Bee Happy project I wanted to do something a little different. I've wanted to do a shaped tag album for a while and this collection is perfect!

I used the Beehive SVG from Farmhouse (I didn't realize the Bee Happy SVG files were live on Lori Whitlock's site!) and sized it up in Cricut Design Space. I added an offset layer for my cover and a negative offset to mat my tags.

On the fron I added the extra bee I had cut with the Busy Bee Doodle Cuts die and some more of his bee friends from the Icon sticker sheet. I used the sentiment from the This and That sticker sheet.

Inside I've added 3x3 photo mats and various stickers from the This and That sticker sheet, Icon stickers, and Puffy Icons.

I used one of the journaling cut aparts from the collection kit and folded it to make it fit on one of my tags. I tied it closed with some Beetle Black Doodle Twine.

I also took some of the tag cut aparts and folded them in half to make little flaps.

The Bee Happy mini collection is fun! Lots of bees doing bee things and the sweetest color palette! As soon as I got my hands on this collection I knew I wanted to play with the Doodle Cuts Busy Bee dies first.

I made a fun little decor piece using the dies and one of the Doodlebug DIY Snow Globes. I had a vision of building a little scene of bees out doing their job and the dies were perfect for it!

I added the green and white pattern from the 12x12 Bee-utiful paper for my back ground. I hand cut some hills with the green cardstock in the coordinating Bee Happy cardstock pack and inked them with some dark green ink to give them some dimension.

Just a tip for when you are cutting and assembling your bees: Adhere the wings first. I used some light blue vellum from my stash for the wings. Add a tiny dot of glue to your base at the top and bottom corner of where the wing will attach. This glue will be hidden by the head and larger stripe on your bee when fully assembled.

I popped up all of my elements at different heights and added an action wobble on my big bee. I added some of the Busy Bees Shakers and closed it up.

On the front added some Puffy Icons and a sentiment from the This and That sticker sheet. I finished it off with some Beetle Black and Bumble Doodle Twine.

That's No Strawberry! Single Page Layout

I'm not usually a 12x12 layout girly but every once in a while I'll see a paper collection and remember a picture or event and I just have to do it! Today's project I used the adorable Berry Sweet collection to document a summer barbecue and my son's refusal to eat strawberries!

I used one of the coordinating solids as my base and added an 8x8 piece of white cardstock layered with an 8x10 piece of the Berry Sweet paper. I trimmed one of the journaling cut aparts down and added a small piece of one of the border strips for my journaling. I finished it off with the Berry Sweet Shaker Pop.

I used the Berry Basket Doodle Pop and added two of the mice stickers from the Icons sticker sheet.

Finally I used the All the Things pack to add my title and layered it with the fun strawberry lemonade and another berry basket.

Who knew strawberries could be so cute? The new Berry Sweet Mini Collection from Doodlebug is so much fun and perfect for a mini project!

I have made a super easy Garden Planner for you today. I used the cooriding solids for the collection to build my base. I added a small notebook to make notes or lists of plants. On the other side is a flap with stacked pockets to hold receipts or other notes.

When you open the flap we have a spot for a picture. I added a 4x4 cut apart from the 12x12 collection kit.

Finally, I have some simple accordion pockets. These pockets expand to hold even more things you want to hang on to like seed packets or pictures of your progress!

Shakers have been my obsession since I started paper crafting. I made a shaker card at a class and was hooked. When I started making mini albums the first thing I did was figure out how to incorporate a shaker element. So when Doodlebug first released their Shakers I was thrilled. THEN we got the Butterfly Kisses Shakers! Heaven!

For my project today I used the Butterfly Kisses Shakers and the Butterfly Kisses Heavy Acetate to make the cover of a gatefold shaker folio. The folio measures 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" with a 1 1/4" spine. I added butterflies from the Odds and Ends pack to cover inside and out, positioned so you don't see the back on either side. I also created an acetate belly band as a closure so the cut apart on the front feels like it's floating.

Inside we start out with a large pocket with a little scene built using Odds and Ends. That little frog is just the cutest!

As you open up the flaps inside the folio we have an acetate belly band using more of the Butterfly Kisses Heavy Acetate. I've tucked one of the chunky tag cut aparts inside.

On the back of that flap we have more picture spots and a couple of smaller flaps as well.

Next, we have some skinny belly bands that hold journaling cut apart booklets. When you open those up we have more picture space.

On the back of the folio is a small 3x4 waterfall and an acetate box pocket for all your extra photos or keepsakes.

I'm a sucker for anything with butterflies so when Doodlebug announced the brand new Butterfly Kisses collection I was immediately obsessed! In the sneak peeks one piece in the Odds and Ends pack caught my eye - the little greenhouse. So of course I had to be extra and make my own!

I've made a greenhouse box to hold my tiered greenhouse album. On the outside of the greenhouse box I used the Butterfly Kisses Shape Sprinkles and some of the Bitty Bugs Shape Sprinkles.

The album measures 6x8 and I used the new Butterfly Kisses 6x8 paper pad and coordinating Petite Prints to mat it.

The album has three sections and two pages with lots of flaps and pockets with plenty of room for photos. The front section measures 4x6.

I used the Butterfly Kisses Mini Icons and Chit Chat to decorate. I made my base for my album out of black cardstock. The black really makes the bright colors in this collection pop! The second section measures 6x6 and opens the opposite direction.

The back section is 6x8. I used the cute full page sentiment to mat the pocket on the inside cover.

On the back inside cover I added a 4x6 waterfall to use the 4x6 journaling cards. This project will use the entire 6x8 paper pad!

Acetate Easter Treat Boxes featuring Doodlebug Bunny Hop

Easter is late this year which gives you plenty of time to make some cute Easter treats! Today I have a pair of fun treat boxes using the Doodlebug Easter Dots acetate and Bunny Hop paper collections.

I used a milk carton treat box die from my stash to cut the treat boxes out of the Easter Dots acetate sheets. I added some Odds and Ends pieces on two sides to cover up my adhesive from assembling the boxes.

On the top I've tied them shut with some Bubblegum and Swimming Pool Chunky Twine. I added little tent tags to the top using the Bunny Hop 6x6 paper pad and the coordinating Puffy Icons and Mini Icons.

On each I used the same Mini Icon as the tiny cut apart on the opposite side of the tag. On each I added puffy icons to add some dimension.

All ready for the special little people in your life!
