Hey ya'll. Posting has been light as hell cause I got nicked up and found out that I'm gonna have to get cut on (AGAIN!). Still moving and getting stuff done but its kinda wearing me out so at the end of the day I'm dragging bad. Gonna be like this for a little while longer (till probably mid July) till I get this fixed and get back to it so bear with me.

All that's hanging with me I appreciate it.

A resignation by a leader to save his organization? That was once the US Marines way, way back when...not so sure today but I'm off on a tangent. The UK's defense sec resigns because the budget for his organization is untenable.

Did you know that political leaders are promising a military brigade to go to Ukraine as a peacekeeping force once hostilities end?

Did you know that military leaders are cringing at the idea? That they're not sure that they can support such a deployment.

Are you aware of the state of the Royal Navy? How about the British Army? From what I've read only their Air Force is anywhere near fit to fight.

Does it surprise you that only British Special Ops would be considered combat capable from a US Army or Marine Corps view (yeah I'm imposing my view on them but you get it...their Army is in trouble).

This is painful to watch but the total decline of the UK seems inevitable now. I'm not talking about simply sliding into number two as far as militaries are concerned in Europe but all the way to the middle of the pack at best.

Want to know the nations that I would rate as being ahead of the UK at this time?

* France

* Germany

* Poland

* Italy

* Switzerland (small active duty with a HUGE in European terms of active/reserve conscripts)

Who are they now on par with? Spain and Greece with both in my estimation to be at least on par and probably a bit ahead at this time.

When I first saw the vid and saw her pre-lift shennanigans I was like WTF! Then I realized that her dad had taken the time to get her involved in the sport, probably by having her watch him workout and then by her WANTING to do it too and she was simply modeling his behavior before a heavy lift. So good on her and her dad. I consider this impressive by any standard. Well done.

Issues to discuss?

1. The war in Iran. We gotta get Netanyahu on a leash. Dudes is spinning and on a different kind of mission. We want this over for NUMEROUS reasons but he can't find a fight he doesn't want to send his troops into.

2. The economy. We are inching toward something....weird. I can't place it and it might be another conspiracy theory (I'll take that bashing) but high oil affects alot more than just gas. Fertilizer which affects food, plastics etc...We need this war over and yesterday.

3. Is anyone noticing that the old playbook that we ran on the USSR is being rolled out again for China? Maybe its just me.

Ok. I'm trying to make heads and tails of this thing. In the old Corps (guess I have to call it that now), MEF is the biggest, MEB is your medium/flex force for major combat, MEU is your crisis response show the flag force and SPMAGTF is for special circumstances/don't require a full up MEU.

So when did this Littoral Combat Force come into being? We've done "single ship amphibious operations" for a little while now but they flew under the banner of the MEU.

Screw it. Read the announcement (click on it to expand) and some brainiac tell me where I'm going wrong with this. FUCK MAN they even use SPMAGTF in the description of this thing! I don't get it. If this is just more fucking branding then HQMC needs an enema.

Either he's off his meds, being goofy or just revealed classified information...

The sad thing about this is that the title could cover any of those circumstances. Yeah I don't dismiss the idea that some "organization" launches drones from the roof as part of their security measures but that covers the "revealed classified information" of the title of this blog post.

AND YEAH I KNOW I post goofy shit from time to time but I'm a nobody. Not president.

Whoever is in control of his social media needs to be fired. If he's in charge then someone needs to take it away from him.

This kinda shit does not inspire confidence.

Let me get this in before I get roasted. YES! Being president is a high profile, high stress job and a sense of humor is necessary just to survive the pressures (I would think anyway). But how about keeping the humor confined to a circle of close friends and confidants?

Interesting. Read somewhere that a mixed fleet would be a more expensive option than going pure Gripen but I guess --- POLITICS? But having said that a hi-lo mix is or rather was all the rage and I guess you could say that even the US Air Force is doing the same by buying F-XX, F-22, on the high end...F-35 as middle and F-15EX as the new low end on our mix.

Notice how the focus is on the operations in Iran and not one mention of the ongoing war in Ukraine. One thing is obvious to me. We're coasting on reputation. We are no longer the "factory of freedom". The real question is this. Do we take care of ourselves or do we try and supply the rest of the world? Ya know what has me spinning? The Chinese have fully automated missile, rocket and cannon artillery facilities. Those factories run 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Why can't we?

If unmanned vehicles (whether air, land or sea) is all about software then why are we developing all these new platforms to carry weapons? On the ground side we have a metric shit ton of M113s, Humvees, 2.5 ton trucks, 5 ton trucks, etc...laying around rusting. Need a ship to shore cargo delivery UGV? Put some software on AAVs and have them swim instead of rusting in a depot! Need high speed drones? Refurb a few F-16s and set them up to be one way supersonic delivery platforms! Are we making the simple hard?

Sounds good until you remember 1962! Are they a credible threat today? Not sure. China moves carefully so their might be "support forces" on the island...perhaps even the drone threat that was trotted out a week or so ago. Either way Trump appears to be going against his "no new war" pledge and seems to have a list of countries he's gonna knock off. It's almost like he thinks a weakening economy, high gas prices, soon rising FOOD prices (beyond what its risen so far) and goofy statements/memes that he seems like he can't resist putting out be damned. I'm not anti-Trump (not yet but much longer on this path and I'm gonna start having serious questions) but he's pushing my buttons.
