This was the clip that inspired the creation for the "Dasher Cam"--a dashboard mount for the camera. Lindsay's camera work was so bad, something had to be done. We were so happy with the Dasher Cam, we decided to put my 1980 Diesel Dasher Volkswagen to work. This would be the venue for our upcoming interview series with local musicians. Stay tuned.

Rising Appalachia Dedicates African Birthing Song--mp3

This recording captures one of my favorite concert moments from last summer at the Duckpond. This is Leah and Chloe of Rising Appalachia singing "Tuli Tuli," an African birthing meditation song. It was a dedication to my yet unborn son, Jack. One thing you'll notice is the sound of the cicadas in the background. This became a kind of trademark to the Duckpond recordings and they just got louder and louder as the summer went on. This show was the last of the summer and took place on September 13, 2007. Oh, and Jack was born about 5 weeks later.
