With a little encouragement from my friend Tom Dougherty, (link on the right) I turned it into several drawings. What's fun is that the Star Wars universe really blends with the goofy, strangely-named world of Dr. Seuss pretty easily. To make a delightful evening of it, the artists themselves will be in the gallery drawing for and with the people in the crowd on opening night. Of course, lots of foot traffic means that the work may disappear quickly, (it's cash and carry) so don't wait! I hope to change that. I'd like this web-log to be a dumping ground for things I'm workin' on but don't feel are polished enough to fit in a gallery on the website.<br /><br />This one I'm quite happy with, but it's someone else's art. Eric Talbot draws the best ninja turtles. I grabbed a piece of his from </span><a href="http://erictalbot.blogspot.com/2009/08/blog-post_07.html"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">here</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"> with the intention of inking it in Illustrator, (a program with which I wanted more practice.)<br /><br />Once digitally inked, I colored it up in Photoshop. I think it all took about 3 hours (?) I was at work so there were lots of starts and stops.
