facing our fashion fears. - Fashion fears. - To me a fashion fear is everything that I don't want to wear.

- That insecurity that I've kept repressed for years and years and now focusing on that
and doing only that. - The thing you don't do on your body. - My fashion fear is my boobs, just everything surrounding them. - The bodycon dress.

- Pants. - Low rise jeans. - Overalls, big, big overalls. - It'll be interesting confronting
our insecurities head on.

- Wait, I'm like sweating now. Is this actually happening? I'm moist. - I'm Tiffany Reese of lookieboo.Com. I'm a big believer in
facing our fashion fears because I don't think
we should let clothing have so much power over us.

- Hi, I'm Kristen. - I'm Tiffany. It's so nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you. - I need your help.

- I am afraid of bodycon dresses. It's more the being
exposed that freaks me out. I just prefer a flowy dress just in case I want to eat a big lunch. One time I wore a bodycon dress to work and Freddie was just the whole day like "Hey!" And I was like, "This
is why I don't do it." - Even though they're all tight fitting, they're tight fitting in different ways so I'm hoping you'll find
one that's like the winner, the go to.

- So, I am afraid to show
my boobs in any sort of way. I think I don't show them or display them because they are large for my body and I don't like getting that attention. - As a kid, I pissed myself constantly. You have 10 to 15 seconds
to get everything off and sit your ass down or else
pee is dripping down your leg and if you're wearing overalls, you can't get them off in time.

Do you piss your pants a lot? - Well, I have had three kids so the pissing thing. They zip all the way down, then you just-- - Oh. - So if you really have to pee yourself, these are the overalls for you. - My fashion fear is pants.

I don't like pants because
I have something called PCOS. And what that basically means
is the majority of my fat congregates around my stomach and so whenever I wear
pants it's just like, "Ugh, there's that thing
I can't get rid of." - I have a good variety of stuff to try. - Wooh! - And I'm hoping that you
will only hate them 50%. - I go for pants that
cover the belly button.

Anything below that makes me stressed. I never thought about it but
I think I hate belly buttons. - I'm gonna have you start
with the long tee shirt but the shirts are gonna maybe get a little tighter
and shorter as the week goes. So we're gonna push it.

Let's start with this one. Let's start with this girl. - What's her name? - Sexy secretary. - So, they just are the Marshas, like their name is Marsha.

Here we go. We're all about to experience the Marshas in all their glory. - I can't wait. - So these are full length overalls.

So they are similar to coveralls but they don't cover it all. - My belly button is indeed exposed. - I'm trying to not use
my hair as a crutch. - We're out here.

- They're a little warm, which is what I was concerned about but that is the nature of pants and I need to accept that. Step one is accepting
pants for who they are. Step two, I think, is to wear them. Step three, I think, is to
throw them in the garbage.

So we're gonna skip step three and just enjoy them and have a great time. - This is the worst possible week for me to be on my period and guess what week it is? - To be honest, I'm trying
to not think about it because they're just so here. - I think these are more of
like maybe a jeggings material so it's not really cutting. Tiffany gave me tot option
to maybe tie the shirt up to make it a little more va va voom and I decided against it.

- I feel a little bit like a sausage. If I go to Chipotle at any
point during this week, it's just gonna be food baby central. I'm expecting a burrito
in t minus three weeks. More like t minus 24 hours but (giggles) - I feel uncomfortable about the fact that the neck lines might get lower but that's what we're here to do.

- That's my own insecurity
and I have to deal with it. I have to face it. I have to face my fashion fear. That's alliteration for you.

- So day one wearing my low rise jeans. I just keep pulling up my pants even though they're not even falling down but I just keep pulling them up. I want them to be above my belly button. - Having to go to the bathroom with these overalls has been tough because it adds an extra
45 seconds to my bathrooms which is sort of why I
was so scared of them in the first place.

- I do not know how you guys
wear pants all the time. I do feel flattered in this outfit but I don't feel, what's
the word, comfortable. - So I've only been wearing this shirt for two and a half hours and it happened. Someone exited the bathroom, our eyes met, but before our eyes met
their eyes met the Marshas.

- I think I look a lot fancier than usual because I've had a lot of
people open doors for me. I think that the lip and the sunglasses are like helping me along
with this kind of character. Twisted Joan from Mad Men. - It's day two of pants.

Got these cords. I mean, they're comfortable. Honestly the one thing I like about them is I feel like I can do cartwheels. - So this is the lowest
and most revealing outfit that I have.

- How do you feel about my jeans? - I officially made it through
the day wearing this dress and not covering them up but I was definitely
uncomfortable the whole time. It's just not me. - I'm at a work event. I'm wearing overalls.

I've gotten so many compliments
or comments on overalls. It's like a big surprise. I kind of like them when I'm outside. To have them outdoors
makes me kind of feel like a happy farmer.

- It's a very boss ass bitch outfit. - I love this outfit. - You know, my fashion
fear is showing any boobs or just like accentuating them. - Oh, exciting! - So here they are.

- I'm just taken by the dress and the overall effect that it had. It's just like boobs are
part of the ensemble. - What do you think of my outfit? - I love it. - You didn't notice anything different? That I'm wearing a really tight dress? - It's got a little bit of red on it.

Oh, I mean, I don't know. I think it looks great. - You haven't been staring at my butt? - Well, I always do that. - As the days go on, I'm starting to hate low
rise jeans a little bit less.

I've realized why I
like high waisted jeans. High waist jeans make me feel
like I have a popping booty. Low rise jeans deccentuate the booty. Is that a word? - [Camera Woman] Alright
Jen, how do you have to do in the bathroom? - You have to flip it up and it hurts you.

- Stuff fits, feeling like I could dance. I can't dance but if I could
dance, this would be great. - This is one of my favorite
dresses of the week. - I like this dress.

- I like the way it's styled a lot. I like pretty much everything about it - It's stylish. - Except for the fact that we did eat a lot of curly fries just now.
- A lot of curly fries. - Kind of trying to suck in and get rid of any curly
fry food baby action.

- So the day is here where
I have to wear a crop top. I'm very upset, barely
want to get out of the car. I'm cold. - I'm getting kind of used to these pants.

So many people have been
giving me compliments that I feel like maybe I'm just over thinking this a little bit and that pants aren't that bad. - This is the legally
brunette dress for real. I did too much. I did too much.

- No you didn't. - It's a lot. - The shirt is fine. I'm just done.

I'm just ready for it to kind of be over. - [Camera Man] What has happened Jen? - I thought there was an extra step. - [Camera Man] You just
tripped on your overalls and just almost got pierced by this wall. - Yeah, I did fall.

- So this week we faced our fashion fears and it's been terrible. - Educational. - Better than expected. - Um.

(Growls) - I definitely feel like I
actually look better in pants than I thought I did. Today, I got lots of compliments and at first I was like,
"Really on this outfit?" And I looked in the mirror and I was like Okay, yeah i could see a world where someone else was wearing this. I'd compliment them too. - I guess I'm just not seven anymore and I don't piss myself
as often as I used to.

I also never really thought overalls could be cute before this
but they can be so cute. Look at how cute this shit is. - I felt weird because I was like, "Is it bad that I'm an empowered women but I still don't feel comfortable showing these natural parts of my body?" I want the attention to be up here in just what I'm saying and what I'm doing rather than on a body part. - I did not have a great
experience this week but I don't think belly buttons are as bad as I thought they were at
the beginning of the week.

- [Camera Woman] Let me see
your belly button, Freddie. - No, never. - I thought that maybe
by the end of the week, I would feel more comfortable but I just don't. - I think I might start
wearing overalls though because I kind of felt like, "Hey, this item of
clothing, not that bad." - I think that after this week, I am more likely to wear a bodycon dress.

This was a little bit of rejection therapy where it's like people
are staring at your butt, people are staring at your butt. But then after awhile you're
just like listen, it's my butt. It's there. What are we gonna do about it? Pretty much nothing because I go to yoga twice a week and that's about as much as I can manage.

Laddy Girls - What Does it Take to Be A Fashion Designer

- Hi, my name is Zachary Fernandez and I'm currently a fashion student. So I am starting my
Kathmandu 2016 collection. My collection's gonna
be debuting at my school fashion show, and so I have
little under seven weeks to get this all put together. So our school assignment
was to pick a city that we wanted to be inspired
by for this collection.

I ended with Kathmandu, Nepal, all of the trouble that
they went through last year was really inspiring and I
was able to take those ideas of imbalance and the
destruction of culture and apply that to this new collection. These are the pieces that
I ended up designing. They're ever-changing
and they kind of just are always in flux. My sketching process
involves a lot of images, a lot of mixed medias,
I like to do collages, watercolors, acrylic paste,
it's a real reflection of what my mind looks like.

Here you have the final
sketches that I've done. The sketching process for me is really a major step between just
ideas and kind of this fantasy world that I've created in my mind to really functional wearable pieces. Fabric sourcing is one of
my favorite things to do. It's really like a group
activity, like meet a couple of friends, we'll just go, we'll explore the city,
we'll get inspiration.

So I'm looking for like a very pale blue that's almost like very silverish, and then I'm gonna be looking for a very deep, rust orange color. Okay, so I need to find
this, but more grayish blue. The fabric store is one of those places that you go in with one
idea and one concept and one thought, and you
come out with like 500 more. This is it.

- This is it! - This is it.
- [Girl] Dude! - Hey! Yes! So I spend the majority
of my time draping and it's definitely a part that
will make or break a piece. I take a piece of muslin,
which is just a really basic blend fabric, and I started
sculpting it to the dress form. And then those mock-ups that
I make of the dress form are then fitted to the
model, and sometimes I try them on a model, I'm
like, this is hideous, I don't know why, it just overpowers her or something happens
and that leads to even better ideas and even
more just, creativeness. When you design while you create, I just think it takes so much longer and you like pressure
yourself so much more.

So, my design mind is turned off. And it's just about sewing, and sewing, and sewing, and sewing, and sewing. So after I finish draping, I take a part of that mockup and I totally seam rip it and I re-pattern it, and then I cut out of my real fabric. (Sewing machine) It's always really nerve-wracking 'cause a lot of times the
fabric's all that you have, either the budget doesn't
allow for you to get more fabric, or there's
simply not anymore left.

It has this like box-like structure in it. The box is actually lined with horse-hair so that it can kind of take the shape and that's why I'm kind of trying to like manipulate it right now
'cause it just takes on whatever shape you really need it to. The show, oh the show. Six days, and I'm still
cutting up fabric like, I don't think that's normal.

There's always going to be
that last minute hurry up and finish like state of being. I have a picture in my mind about how this is supposed to go, but who knows if it actually go that way. I think that there can be
a lot of different ways to read the look. Obviously you look for
like the main things like color, silhouette,
is this an evening piece, is this a day piece and you just kind of put the garment and
choose certain categories and that really helps
people read fashion out, by the time the piece is on the runway I'm already thinking about
a whole new collection and I'm really thinking
something totally different, but it doesn't really
hit me that these people, for them it's the first
time that they've seen this.

I've spent months and months
planning and sketching and putting it together. If I see all these different
things in these pieces, but no one else does,
then it's kind of sad, but then it's also part
of what makes fashion art, is because people see it
in so many different ways. (Applause and cheering) We are in my home, studio,
bedroom combination in Berkeley, California. I have this look from
Project Runway Junior, which was the first episode, and this look for my most recent collection.

They really mean a lot
to me 'cause they show how much progress I've made within the last four, five months. .

Laddy Girls - Top Trends 2018 according to Pinterest !Womens styleJustine Leconte

Hi everyone its Justine. Pinterest is that
place where people pin things they like: if you take all the pins and the
keywords that get searched and saved on Pinterest boards, all around the world,
then you get a pretty good feeling for the trends that people consider rather
wearable, things that they actually want to try. In other words, on Pinterest you
see trends that we're actually gonna see on the streets. So I looked into the
report that they just released and here are the things that have been pinned a
lot more often this year than last year.

First thing: structured statement
earrings. I'd love to say that I. Single-handedly made big earrings a
thing... I think it wouldn't be entirely true though.

But I really am a fan of
huge earrings so I'm very happy about this one. There are different ways of making a
statement with your ears: a large shape, multiple elements, various materials, a
combination of colors, etc. This is the board that I created for this particular
trend and I've created a Pinterest board for each trend that I'm going to mention
today. Trend number 2: berets.

That's one I honestly wouldn't have guessed
because I think it's a trend being driven by countries that are not France, since in France it is quite clich, a bit old school to wear a beret, nowadays, unless
you're a painter or an artist and you live on a certain hill in Paris, which is
Montmartre ;-) Other than that I haven't seen berets anywhere I have to say. The
traditional beret is in wool with a discreet plaid pattern but modern
berets can have different materials, colors and shapes again. In fact it looks
more like a beanie and women and men can wear them alike. In the past, berets have
rather been men's hats only.

Number 3: embellished shoes. Bling-bling :-)
Embellishments are purely decorative details that don't actually have a
function on the shoe. Embroidered beads might be the first thing you think of
here la Manolo Blahnik, shoes with that big
buckle on the top of the foot. But embellishments are more varied than this:
McQueen would do thread embroidery all over, Dolce & Gabbana would create a
pattern with beads on the heel, etc.

By the way, if you look at my interest
account (here is my Pinterest name), you will see more suggestions for each one
of the trends. I will be adding more pins on all of those boards. Trend number 4: wide leg. Could that be the end of skinny jeans? Could that mark the
return of non stretchy fabric for pants? It's very interesting actually because
most commercial brands are still offering super tight stretchy spandex
filled fabrics in their jeans, while consumers' interest, according to this
report, seems to have already shifted towards a new silhouette.

By wide-leg,
people who pin mean anything from straight leg to bootcut and bell bottom,
like in the 70's. Notice that the definition of a wide leg
isn't the same anymore as in previous decades. Number 5: logos.
I mentioned loud prints being a trend coming back from the runways in my
spring/summer 2017 video. It has a lot to do with the new design director of
Balenciaga, who got hyped like hell by the fashion press.

So it's really a
designer driven trend and other designers, streetstyle-inspired, have been
going in that direction too, which makes logos a "cool" thing to wear again. Even
luxury brands brand their collections and even in Western European markets, where
luxury usually means high quality but a more discreet statement in terms of
branding. Trend number 6: side slits. Thanks to the Kardashian family for
making a naked leg appropriate to wear outside of the red carpet...

On a dress or
a tunic worn over pants, it's a well-known thing: think 70's. But slits
are now also adapted onto pants or tops. Showing more skin is officially "in", in
2018. Number 7: hundred percent cotton denim.

You might have noticed that right
now, it's pretty hard to find jeans that don't have spandex in them.
Well, pure cotton denim seems to be having a moment again, like the iconic
classic Levi's 501 which had gone a little bit out of fashion and is
coming back, big time. Its fabric is a lot more resistant, it lasts longer, it's
also a lot stiffer than what you can find in stores right now. The
interesting thing here is that jeans without stretch need to be cut completely
differently to allow for movement, which is not compatible with a skinny
silhouette. So this trend is absolutely going
in the same direction as the wide-leg trend that we've seen earlier.

Trend
number 8: lucite and paten leather. So double trend here. Lucite is actually a brand of a sort of acrylic and it refers to this kind of
plastic transparent heel that we've seen on many runways last year. As a shoe, it
is not very durable and exposure to sunlight can make it turn yellowish.

But
it is a vegan alternative to leather so it's interesting to see blue lucite and
patent leather trend in parallel to each other, as they illustrate two different
lifestyles, in my opinion! Trend number 9: long layered clothing. Long and
layered mean "casual" and it means "comfort", so if that can help us get over
that super tight body-shaping trend out there, then I'm all for it.
Layering is a thing every winter, in cold regions of the world. But it can
also be styled in summer and the longer you go, the more you'll elongate your
silhouette. So if you have a rather shorter frame, it is something that you
can definitely try for yourself.

Number 10:
sheer socks. I would never have guessed up one. Maybe that's because I'm French
and I would never show my socks in sandals... So there's no point having sheer
sucks.

But I'm guessing now that other countries do disagree indeed... I suspect
sheer socks to be coming from Asia and I'd love to hear whether you agree if you
are living in Asia right now, and you're watching this. While preparing this video,
I did see some sheer socks worn with sneakers. Now that's rather something I
would do, if the material used feels good on the skin, of course.

- I feel like this day's gonna be better than my wedding day, honestly. (Synth pop music) Fashion Week to me is honestly, I think it's gonna be some craziness, some avant garde shit. - I'm just like this girl from Texas that has never been to a
fashion show in my life. Are they just gonna like, reject me? We planned three weeks in advance what we were gonna wear
'cause we were like, "We gotta get this right,
we gotta get this down." - I bought a dress.

It was $111.00. It was supposed to be
$84.00 But I clicked it at midnight and the sale went away. I still bought the dress. - We can go back to L.A.

And be like. - Actually, wear this color. - You know what? (Bleep) it, let's just go, let's do it. - You said (bleep) it.

- I did, I did. - She doesn't cuss. - Is this New York? - Yeah! (Bleep) fashion, here we come! (Pop music) - On Friday I wanted to go
for a chic, high fashion look so I slicked back my hair, I
put it in a little pony tail. I wore a choker.

I wore pastel pink pants
that were kind of flowy and then some strappy shoes that were not the comfiest, but, fashion. - I decided to wear
like, a floor length gown and it was all black
and it had a cape on it. - [Linday] It was amazing. - And then I wore these black shoes that said (bleep) on them.

- Fashion. - Fashion. - [Lindsay] We're headed
to Nicole Miller right now. Woo! - I'm hoping that it's
like a free, fun place and that it's not like
ritzy and like, meh.

- So we arrived to the show and it's already feeling super chaotic. We're in. I honestly was not
expecting like, what it is. Five people have already like looked me up and down, critiquing my outfit.

- Yeah. Two things, one, I saw one
of my favorite actresses from Orange Is The New
Black, she's my favorite. Two, I also saw a rich
kid from Beverly Hills that I've also seen in Beverly Hills. But that's the update so far.

- So we're waiting in line for the show for like a good hour. They finally let us through and the show's about to start in literally one minute. - [Jazzmyne] Literally. - And there's about 50 or
so people behind us still yet they just close the
doors in front of them.

- [Jazzmyne] We were the last like, maybe ten people to get in and then they were just like, (squeals). - Can you imagine waiting in line for like two hours and then not getting in? (Electronic music) - [Jazzmyne] The first
show had a lot of like, different, really cool patterns. - It was very colorful, it's very preppy. It was cute.

- It was alright. - We did it! - Woo, first fashion show down. - Oh yeah. - I think the biggest
thing we both realized is that like so much goes into it for literally a five minute show.

- Five minutes. It's chaos getting there. You're in traffic, you're
trying to find your spot. And then you sit down, it starts, it's five minutes long and then you leave and you go to the next one.

- And that's it. (Electronic pop music) We're at the Tadashi Fashion Show. We just realized that this
was gonna be all gowns. - Yes! - So this is gonna be cool.

- That guy just took a picture of us! - I don't know what the (bleep) that was. - Okay. (Electronic pop music) When we got there, we
actually had our own seats so I felt super VIP. - [Jazzmyne] It also had
a brochure of the show that told you all the looks that were gonna be coming down the runway.

- We're on the runway. - We're on the runway. You know this is gonna be a good show because the music is slightly scary. - [Lindsay] When it started,
there was this cool, crazy animation.

- It was kinda trippy. It was like a tiger hanging
on to like an elephant. It was saying something with
like, inter-connectivity and just like all being
sound and on the same level and just like chillin', it
was really cool, I liked it. - I didn't get any of
that from that video.

- Exactly. - [Lindsay] Then the gowns came out. (Vibey pop music) The colors were so vibrant. All the gowns had just such a
beautiful structure to them.

- [Jazzmyne] Like, these
looked like just like little masterpieces walking around. - (Singing) It started raining. - (Singing) Fashion show rain. But that fashion show? Tadashi, you know your shit.

- So we just got back from
our first two fashion shows. Nicole Miller was mainly the
same ethnicity, which is white. - The Tadashi show had at least like, three to four women of
color, so that was nice. Something we were not used to, all around in both these shows
was the fact of just like, seeing these model's bodies in real life.

- These high, high fashion models, their job is to sell the
clothes and not themselves. Just become literally a walking mannequin. - Outside of high fashion
I feel like our society is trying to make these huge strides into like, curves, blah,
blah, blah, love yourself. And then we go to these high fashion shows and it's like, woah.

- [Lindsay] This is another club. - Now we're gonna eat Thai
and sushi and go to bed. - Bye, see you Sunday. (Sparse electronic music) Good morning and welcome to our
second day of fashion shows! - Woo! - We're at the BuzzFeed New York office and we're taking all their snacks.

- I personally was excited for Sunday because this is my shit. Street style, weird concepts like, oh! I decided to throw it back
to a little Missy Elliot. (Chirps like a record) Literally a pink velvet
jumpsuit with a hat and some tennis shoes and
I'm not ashamed to say that I rocked the (bleep) out of that. - So I decided to stay with the whole chic trend that I was going
for through Fashion Week and I slicked my hair
back but I kept it down.

I had a really light blue blazer and I had black trousers and
then I just wore tennis shoes 'cause it was more like
casual street style and really comfortable. (Camera shutter snaps) - Today we're going to the
Hood By Air Fashion Show which I'm so excited
for because this is like really cool street style,
Rihanna just wore it, I'm dying if I see her, I can't
believe my life right now. (Record scratch) Yeah we didn't see Rihanna. What was different
about these shows for us is that we were going behind the scenes instead of just attending the show.

(Techno music) We got to meet the Creative Director that basically explained
the hair and make up looks. They were literally like smearing Vaseline and it was inspired by like, kids going and getting like
messy in their parent's stuff. And it was also supposed to be like a little bit of like weird, back of the woods shit going on too. Like the thought process? Like what is going on the actual looks, like it is all absolutely crazy.

And all the models are so sweet and nice. I like just wanna talk,
so that's really nice. - We were just walking down the runway and Whoopi Goldberg was next to me and then all of a sudden
Jaden Smith walks in and then it was Naomi Campbell. - [Jazzmyne] Yeah.

- [Lindsay] And I was like, "Hey girl." (Record scratch) - You did not say hey to her. (Laughter) - That didn't happen, that didn't happen. - We saw Teyana Taylor. I was in a background of a
picture that I didn't know about.

- [Lindsay] So when the show started it was some trippy, like music, that sounded like it was in reverse. - [Jazzmyne] It was great. - This is gonna be weird. The fashions in this show were so cool.

I think knowing what we knew from the Creative Director backstage
and what their vision was like and seeing it go onto the runway was like an amazing experience because we could see how the adolescent, childhood theme transferred
into how they were walking. One guy had like a pout on his face as if he had just gotten in trouble. - He was my favorite! Literally was like. And I liked it because even though we knew the background story to everything, we were still like, what
the (bleep) are we watching? I actually, literally
cried and had to make sure that my eyeliner was not
running down my face.

- It got to the point where I was like, this is beyond fashion,
this is an art piece. I feel so honored to
have like gone to this. It's amazing. (Electronic music) - [Jazzmyne] So we got
in there and it was cool because it was all just like
mix match of everything.

Like nothing was supposed to feel fluid. Not the gender, not
the race, not the hair, not the colors, everything
was supposed to be mixed. It was sick, it was so cool. - [Lindsay] When the show started, there was a performance, like a pre-show.

- [Jazzmyne] What we realized
later that this is called Gypsy Sport and it opened with like almost a half-time performance. - Get it? - Sport. - Get it? - Gypsy Sport. - [Lindsay] Instead of the
models walking out to just music, they had these two presenters
that were basically commenting on the styles
as they walked by.

- And there was also this
really cool mix of colors. They were all just colors
you wouldn't be like, "Yeah, those go together," and they still kind of all
like flowed with each other. Gypsy Sport was awesome. It was really cool to see so many people with like different body
types and skin type.

You could connect with
any of the models there. - I'm like so sad it's over. - I know I can't believe it. - I thought that I'd be
exhausted and want it to end by the end of the week but I
actually had such a good time.

- My biggest take away
from New York Fashion Week, and being like, the people that we are, not 100% in the industry, is to like, if you're gonna go, go and be you. - Everyone that attended the
shows had their own style. There wasn't this common style
that we saw everyone wearing. Like, you are you.

Dress for you. Dress the best way you can
and that's what's accepted. - We'll be ready for you next year. Goodbye year two K 17.

Like necklace strings are in fashion. A bit like that. If you add some grunge it will look like me. Breaking it and making it punk is in fashion.

I think that will be a trend soon. Hey guys this is Cathy Cat and today we have come to Bunka fashion college. One of the most famous fashion schools in Japan. Today I have the pleasure to go round and ask the Students here What styles they think are in fashion right now, what kind of styles will be in fashion, and if they can explain what they're wearing right now.

Let's go and Ask Japanese. I think Fast Fashion is a trend. Uniqlo and H&M and such. Those things are in fashion but we in contrast are wearing something completely else.

I wish other styles would be more in style too. Neo Street fashion has become more popular compared to earlier. What are you wearing right now? Mine is very much Neo Street style. Me too.

Mine is also close to Neo Street fashion. Recently sporty fashion styles seem to be the thing. Mode and Grunge seem to be in fashion. A bit like that.

If you add some grunge it will look like me. Street fashion like styles are bigger now. Mode and Street Fashion mix styles have increased. Casual fashion and styles that use color are being used a lot.

Clothes that are made out of rare materials. People seem to wear that. ? Big sizes and letting things drop off your shoulder. And stretching your sleeves.

I think that's in fashion right now. ? Things that have come out of high fashion brands are in style. Wearing military styles together with casual things is in style. Strings, like necklace strings are a thing right now.

You see those a lot in Harajuku. Yes you do. They sell out too. I think sneakers are still a thing.

They are fashionable, right? Asics Onizuka Tiger things. ? Berets are super popular. Wearing things off your shoulder is in style. Thermals, lace and fluffy things.

Recently, vintage girly is popular with me. Where do you buy it? Shibuya, Harajuku and Koenji. Recently popular fashion? I wear a fur coat with everything. There are so many colors.

Today I am wearing black but I own purple, pink and green and such. It's popular. Are those real? It's real fur. Net stockings.

I match everything with net stockings. Knitted fashion will be in style. It will definitely be a thing. Things keep changing.

There are many different silhouettes. Right now oversized things are in fashion. I think skinny might make a reappearance. The next fashion will not care about gender.

Boys will wear skirts. I think genderless fashion might come to be a new trend. Right now we have genderless fashion, right. Men and women can wear it.

Looking at abroad... ? A stronger form of the punk style might come back in style. The next fashion will be even more free than it is now. Recently in Tokyo, Neo Street fashion has been a thing.

Street fashion get's broken up and turned into a more punk style. I think that's up and coming. Colors will be less flashy. Just blacks and whites.

I think it will be avant garde. Skirts with a different cut and such More casual things. Japanese fashion in general... Works with many layers and accessories.

I like that but next might be the more simple styles, I hope in winter more casual styles will come in fashion. Chinese styles are up and coming. What type of Chinese clothes? Clothes that have lots of Chinese buttons and such. Satin pajama pants with Chinese patterns.

Korean clothes with long sleeves. You see those a lot. What like that?
- Yes. I want Versace to be more popular.

It's expensive but I want everyone to get interested in high brand fashion. But the money! Well money will be tough but... Vintage brands are quite cheap. Everyone get high brand.

I think more gorgeous styles. More gorgeous styles would be really good. ? ? More revealing clothes. Showing your skin more.

Recently, inside of all the fashion strands, there are some that mix nowadays. Fashion styles will merge. So Street Fashion mixed with high brands will be a thing of the future. A metamorphosis of styles.

Using different materials and shapes. I think those would be great. Yes. I think Fast Fashion is easy for the general public to accept.

Those places and luxory, high brands. That mix of both sides will come to be the next thing. What do you define as Fast Fashion? Fast Fashion is Uniqlo, ZARA and such. They are generally cheap.

And good things. Those mixed with brands. Berets, I guess. I personally want more punk styles.

So you generally want people to wear? More punk fashion. What do you wish would be in fashion? I generally wear Lolita fashion a lot too. So I hope more cute girls will wear it. I wish there were more Lolitas.

I want everyone do wear dresses and headdresses. ? I think that will catch people's attention. When I was in primary school, Harajuku had so many exciting people in flashy fashion. I was always looking forward to going to Harajuku.

Seeing people dressed people in flashy fashion, makes me so excited. I want it to be more popular again. I think people from abroad see that fashion as part of Japanese culture. And decide to go to Harajuku.

They will take lots of pictures and spread that fashion due to that. Abroad more people are wearing Lolita fashion and such... I hope so. I hope more people will dress like this.

Things like this Kimono. A Japanese wearing a Kimono. Clothes that really suit a Japanese person. Japanese clothes fit a Japanese body perfectly.

I think that's what makes it special. If you wear a Kimono, you stand out. In a good or bad way. This should be normal.

At least in my opinion. Japanese type clothes that incorporate the Japanese spirit. I think those might become the next thing, I think. Wearing Japanese fashion second hand or in a cool way I think that would be cool.

That was everything. Thank you. As you can see many students said MODE. MODE seems to be in style right now, which is basically keeping to blacks and whites.

Very simple and plain but kind of cool style. That's one of the big styles here. But then depending on what style the students were into they said different things as well. It was nice to get a good mix there.

Many people said please stop wearing fast fashion, start wearing designer fashion, cause obviously that is their future as well and they want people to dress more unique which brings us to the topic of future fashions. People said we hope that this and that fashion gets more popular, and many people said we had those really flamboyant very unique Harajuku fashion styles and they are starting to die out. How about we bring them back a little bit more. That's a thing that only you guys and people on the streets can do.

Laddy Girls - I Followed Body-Slimming Fashion Tips Throughout History

- I look like a marshmallow
that someone just threw the stick and the
marshmallow into the fire and was like fuck it, I don't want to see that marshmallow ever again. This week I'm going to be
following fashion rules from women's magazines form
the past several decades. I think for a lot of girls
growing up, women's magazines are sort of your first venture
into the world of womanhood. Plus size fashion has come
so far in like the last five years alone, so I feel like
in the 70s and 80s it's gonna be like if you're a
little heavier, you should wear a circus tent.

So for day one I had to
follow some rules from a 1981 Woman's Day magazine. So one of the things they
suggested was a chemise style dress, that's
supposed to skim the hips and hide your problem areas. I look like the woman at
an Italian funeral who gets mad at everybody for not eating. What do you think about this? - I just, you know it just ages you.

- You look like you're
about to play an organ. - At your own funeral. - Showing this outfit on
someone who's a completely different body type to
you is like so useless. - It seemed like the idea
in the early 80s was that like if you have figure
problems you should just go into the witness protection program.

For my next outfit I also
picked something from the later 80s. So the rules suggested
that I wear something that had like fitted trousers but
like a really loose tunic that would skim my hips. So it wasn't like a total potato sack. This feels huge on me.

I look like a goth pillow case. It was like a black M&M with legs. - This does not make your
figure look slimmer at all. - It's very shall we say, tent-chic.

- [Kristin] Yeah that's one way to put it. - It's flowy. - I mostly just kind of
look like parts of me are censored, like from here down. I'm too hot for TV.

This was a thumbs sideways for me. I saw in a magazine there was
a spread where on one half it talked about how to
make a problem waist look better and then on the
other half it talked about how to make a problem tummy look better. And they were two different outfits. If you have a problem
waist or a problem tummy, you probably have both.

So I decided to follow the
waist flattering tips on day three, I wore a brightly
colored blazer with a belt and slim trousers. Alright, it's my 90s outfit,
I got this little belted jacket situation here, I kind
of feel like a newscaster or like, I dunno Effie from
The Hunger Games on like a casual Friday. This is definitely a distinct
improvement from all black every day, I look like if
a highlighting marker went to a business meeting. - I mean, it's flattering, it's
just not your personal style usually, it doesn't look
like, you're not usually in like color-blocked things.

- I think the first 90s
outfit was pretty good. 90S rules were more about
drawing attention to certain parts of my body and less
about making sure that no one could see my body at all. These rules seemed focused
on being like well, at least you have boobs, so let's play
up the consolation prize. The second 90s outfit kind
of made me feel like I was trying a little bit too
hard, sort of trying to draw attention to one area
when I clearly don't want you to look at the other area.

This is what the first
wife wears in court to make sure that her husband doesn't
get any of the estate. - It's just square, it's
very box, it's very boxy. - [Kristin] It's like,
I'm not a textbook I don't need to be skimmed over. - Yeah, exactly.

- Yes to the coat, maybe not to the scarf. If you had the coat open
and you show a little cleave I think that'd be really sexy. - I look like a doctor at
like the fanciest OBGYN. Office ever.

So this outfit was also
like a thumbs sideways. So day five was an outfit
from the mid-2000s. I wore an empire waisted top
with a pair of bootcut jeans because according to the
magazines I saw, bootcut jeans are supposed to balance out your hips. Finding a pair of like really
flared bootcut jeans was really hard, they're really
not super cool right now so people aren't wearing them.

I think what we learned
here is that I don't so much look smaller as I just of
look like Hillary Duff. I think this is a really
good way of making sure no one knows you have feet. - These feel sort of like when
I used to wear baggy jeans because I didn't know how
to wear clothes that fit me back in high school, like
that's what it reminds me of. - I spent all of college
thinking that I should be wearing these things.

- You look like Reese Witherspoon
in Sweet Home Alabama. - Yeah, I look like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Pairs of Bellbottoms. Everyone just kind of
thought I looked dated. This outfit was a thumbs down for me.

I read an article in Oprah
magazine that talks about how wrap dresses accentuate
your curves and cinch in your waist because cinching
in your waist is cool again. Got the v-neck, 'cause
you can't forget about my two favorite backup dancers, my boobs. What do you think? - You look nice! - I like it, it's giving me
like, Angelina Jolie like pop at the Oscars vibes right now. - This dress never fails.

I don't think I talked to anyone
who didn't like this dress. I think right now we're very
conditioned to feel that like showing yourself off is good
and so you know this is kind of how black looks like in 2017. It's the intersection of
what's cool and what I like about my body which is these
fun little curves here. If you don't cinch in your
waist you can't see 'em.

Take that 80s. This outfit is a thumbs up. People always want to feel
like they're wearing the thing that's gonna make them look the best. Fashion has such a powerful
role to play in how people view themselves and
it seems so silly to like cut yourself off from
different outfits because some dork in a magazine said it was bad.

Looking your best is
about feeling your best. And you can feel your best
in basically anything..

Laddy Girls - How to do fashion sketches step by step

Hi, I am Ioana Avram and I am a fashion designer
and a fashion illustration teacher from Romania, Europe. We will learn together how to do some fashion
sketches step by step. So today we said we will learn about how to
do a fashion sketch. I will use some special pencils, for example Staedtler, it's a German
mark.

You have here the number of the pencil - so it's 8B. This means the color is very dark, the shade
is very dark, and then, you have another brand that i would recommend, it's Toison d'Or,
and the last one, you will see here, it's Koh-I-Noor. And Koh-I-Noor also has the gray pencils.
They are almost the same like this one. This ones I would recommend because they have a
darker color, a darker shade.

So, for the beginning, the difference between
8B for example and B, like this one ( you will see the numbers of the pencils: 3B and
2B). So you have a lot of range of different pencils.You
will see that, the bigger the number is, the darker the color is. Like this one, compared
to, for example, 2B - that it's not so dark. So, at the beginning, we will leave an empty
frame around the page, like this.

It could be like one or two fingers, depending on the
size of the paper. So you have this safe area, just to make sure
you will not put your figure here, or here, or on the left or on the right side. Then, you'll split this in two, into equal
parts: so this is equal with this, and then, depending on the size of the paper - but usually
on this A4 - so it's an A4 format - you will need your thumb like this, and then you have
the shape of the human figure. You will have this one replicated by 7 times
and a half - until nine.

So this means the had enters nine times or seven and a half
in your human body and then you will leave half of the size of the human head - this
is for the neck here and then you will choose your shoulder line that will go down and having
this line down it means that the other line - or the hips - will go up. And then you connect the upper part of this
line - so this is AB - the B part you have to connect with this, with the symmetric line,
because otherwise your human body will fall in one part or the other and then this one
you can connect: you can go like this, or here, or you can go like here and this, and
then you just have this line that should be parallel with the link of the knee, and then
you can choose what's the position of your leg. After you did all these, you should know that
half this size is the size where the hands are finished , like this.
In the beginning you should do the axes, and then we will do the primary shapes and at
the end the connections between the shapes. Ok.

So, we will do the cylinders now, like
primary shapes: cylinders, spheres, cone and cube. And then here. The hand. And once the
drawing is finished you just go to the third step.

And you just connnect the shapes. Very
easily because you have the previous two: axes and primary shapes that will help you
draw the human body and then you just connect these simple shapes.
This is a very important muscle: because it is the bigger in the human body. And another
pair of muscles: this one is bigger, this one is smaller, this is on the left side and
this is on the interior side of the leg. You just connect them and then the lower part
of the leg and we are almost finished.

You just add some details if you want, to
the human face. Just to trace the axes where the eyes will be positioned, and the nose

A new year means a whole slew of fun fashion
trends to try and to incorporate into your already fabulous wardrobe. What silhouettes, fabrics, colors, and concepts
will reign supreme in 2018? And what sort of wardrobe updates do you need
to do? Here's what fashion experts expect to make
the biggest splashes in the new year. '70S-inspired fashion Fashion trends and details from decades past
are always cyclical. Nostalgia for the '90s has been dominating
pop culture for the past few years, with the era's music and fashion being more visible
in both high-end stores and in the malls.

But in 2018, it looks like the era of style
to make a big comeback will be the '70s when things were groovy and more low-key. "It's all happening"
"It's all happening" "It's all happening" So, feel free to hit the vintage shops and
scoop up some of those elongated-collar blouses, peasant tops, and retro color palette pieces
because it looks we're all gonna be taking a trip back to funky town together, fashion-wise. Nerd chic The Star Wars hype that's currently infiltrating
pop culture has generated several co-branded fashion and beauty lines in 2017. But fangirl and nerd chic styles aren't exclusively
related to the films that cruise into the multiplexes.

"And my checks have baby farm animals on them
b------!" In fact, nerd chic will continue to assert
itself in 2018 beyond the realm of graphic tees, with attire and silhouettes long associated
with nerdiness and the collegiate environment making a stay. One example of such is seen in Rihanna's recent
Puma Fenty University collection, which shifts geekwear to a high fashion skew. So get your nerd on in the new year with glee. Geometric minimalism Stark shapes will influence fashion in the
new year as well, especially when it comes to accessories.

The trick will be to skew towards minimalism
but still incorporate clunky patterns like hexagons and diamonds in fashion, fine jewelry,
and even home decor. Also look for those bold shapes to be complimented
by simple trimming and eye-popping colors to make them stand out even more. Denim on denim Jeans have been a staple of every wardrobe
for generations. But while the denim-on-denim trend has been
hard to pull off -- with Canadian tuxedos being more of a joke than anything -- the
classic fabric will reach new heights next year.

The trick will be to wear different washes
and colors together to offer up a lot of versatility and make the look work. But it's not just about light washes or distressed
details when it comes to denim being dominant in 2018, either. We can also count on the styling to have a
throwback tinge with flared legs and more material than we've seen in years. Velvet Another fabric coming back into vogue in 2018
will be velvet.

The soft-to-the-touch texture won't just be
favored during cold weather months but will make its way into all kinds of pieces from
blazers to slip dresses to mini skirts. "This is beautiful. What is that? Velvet?" While the darker colored versions of velvet
will probably still be reserved for the fall and winter months, experts predict the material
will make an earlier splash thanks to brighter colors and slinkier designs. Start Wearing Purple Of the many hues that will be huge in 2018,
purple is poised to be among the most prominent.

Shades like lavender and lilac should make
their way into any number of fashion items, from pastel spring designs to more muted tones
suited for the later months. And purple's pal on the color spectrum, pink,
will also be a big feature of the new year's fashion items, making the palette for 2018
both soft and spunky. "I like it." "Me too." Large floral prints Florals aren't dowdy tablecloth fodder anymore. In the coming year, expect to see large floral
prints all over your fashion magazine spreads.

What you won't see as much of are the small
floral prints and paisley designs that have dominated years past; the increased size and
shape of the new designs will give the floral prints a more modern and fashion forward touch
that your grandma will still love. French Riviera style French girl chic is always in. But in 2018, it's about the French Riviera
and its signature nautical looks. Styles like subtle mariner stripes, clean,
minimalist lines, and shades of bright white and light blues, will be a big feature of
the warmer months.

We often try to look our best when we
walk out the front door but its hard to keep up with every trend. But what are some fashions that we all ended
up hating? And when did the designers go to far? Heres fifteen fashion trends that offended
the world. 15 Low Slung Jeans
A lot of the time, fashion ends up just doing the opposite of what was popular before. While the late 90s saw a return of flared
pants; tight at the thigh and loose at the ankle, this decade has reversed that.

Popularised by Justin Bieber, among others,
many people wore skinny jeans that are tight on the calf but with a low, baggy crotch. It looks a bit like youve shit yourself
in leggings. 14 Lip implants
Around 1900, surgeons were already trying to give lips a boost by injecting them with
paraffin but it never really worked; probably a good thing as a hot meal could set your
face on fire. In the 60s it was silicone and now the most
popular is bovine collagen, meaning it comes from cows, or transferring fat from somewhere
else in your body.

In the US alone, there are almost 30,000 lip
surgeries per year. However, if its slightly over done,
then you end up with bloated fish lips, or the trout pout as its sometimes known. 13 Mullet
The mullet is often referred to as business at the front, party at the back but it
has to be one of the most universally disliked haircuts that has ever existed. And the name has an interesting history.

Mullet-Headed has been an insult for a couple
of hundred years, even referenced by Mark Twain. The haircut was actually named by legendary
hip-hop group The Beastie Boys, on a track called Mullet Head. Ad-Rock describes it clearly saying Cut
the sides, don't touch the back. Seriously, its in the dictionary that
The Beastie Boys created the term mullet 12 Fur coats
In the old days, animal skins and furs were one of the only things you could wear
to stay warm in winter.

However, now that we can make textiles from
coconut husks and, this is totally true, fermented wine, we clearly have the technology to make
amazing fabric, without all the animal murdering. Many countries in Europe now prevent farming
animals specifically for fur and for certain species, the fur is banned completely. 11 Socks and sandals
If you are wearing a white sock, there are two things you cant put on next. One is a black shoe, youre not Michael
Jackson.

The second is a sandal. Socks and sandals is a look which says I
have given up on my appearance. Surprisingly, some studies have found
trace fibres on roman sandals, which suggests that the worlds most famous sandal wearers
may have begun this horrific combination. 10 Louis Vuitton fakes
Louis Vuitton were one of the first companies ever to use a branded material.

They started out making travel cases and used
brown and beige stripes, and later their famous monogram, to help customers identify their
product. But, ironically, their brand is now the
most faked in the world. So those wallets and handbags have gone from
being a symbol of exclusive wealth, to being associated with celebrity and cheap holiday
knock offs. 9 Ramones t-shirts
The Ramones were a hugely influential punk band, active from the mid-70s to the
mid-90s.

And although they were quite a big band, this
isnt why you see their t-shirts all over the world. Recently, major fashion retailers like
H&M have started selling massive quantities of band t-shirts, like The Ramones and Nirvana,
just for the design. There are plenty of kids out there wearing
one who have no idea who the band are. As you can guess, true fans are pretty annoyed
by this.

8 Orange tan In much of Europe and North America, tanning
salons and fake tan creams are an enormous business, as people try to cheat their way
to that perfect summer glow. It used to be that tanning was a sign
of poorer, outdoor workers but this changed after the growth of air travel in the 1920s
and 30s, and through icons like Coco Channel. Fake tans first appeared in the 1950s
and are still a growing market, despite the many orange disasters you see walking the
streets and occasionally, you know, running countries
7 Cultural appropriation The great thing about fashion is that
it can take inspiration from anywhere and anything. The not so great thing, is that it takes them
and then hands them over to wealthy white westerners.

This year, Channel released a boomerang. It cost $2000 despite the fact that it is
basically a fake version of traditional Aboriginal art and culture. The Maasai tribe had a similar issue with
Louis Vuitton in 2012, since they copied Maasai styles but without offering any compensation. 6 Jumpsuits for men
The 70s were a very strange time for mens fashion, with trends like wearing a belt over
a knitted sweater or having a collar so high, it looks like your being protected from vampires.

But worst of all has to be the male all-in-one
jumpsuit. Unless youre flying a plane or doing
maintenance, please have the top and bottom of your clothes separated, guys. 5 Nazi Zara
Zara create new designs in a fraction the time of most other brands. This means new clothes are hitting the stores
all the time, which is part of the reason for their success.

But some items could have done with a
bit more planning. It was supposed to have a fun, wild-west feel,
with a sheriffs badge. But a lot of people saw it and wondered
why Zara were selling a Nazi concentration camp outfit, complete with a Star of David. Awkward.

4 Adidas shackles
Another similarly insensitive step came from Adidas. A new line of basketball sneakers were due
to be released until someone pointed out that the fun, yellow, plastic shackles that came
attached to them might not go down to well with their black audience, you know, because
slavery was a thing. 3 Flash thong
Nude beaches exist so people who want to be naked at the beach can run wild and
free, theres nothing wrong with that. But this nightmare piece of swimwear,
very sexily named the alter lateral flash thong is so much worse than someone being
naked.

Even Paris Hilton was offended by the sight,
tweeting a picture with the hashtag #isthisajoke? 2 Coloured afros
Fashion magazines and catwalks are never as representative as they should be, with
the majority of the models being very thin and very white. But when Vogue had a white, blonde model
called Gigi Hadid on their cover in 2015, they put her in an afro in every shot, and
the question is: why? 1 Giant Fur Keychains
Theres nothing wrong with accessorising your bag, and theres nothing wrong with
keychains. But not when the keychain is BIGGER THAN THE
BAG. At that point youre likely going to
forget which one contains all your things and which is a useless whenever you reach
down..

Here you have vegetables from Mount Jiri. It's not only delicious but nutritious too and has been tickling the taste buds of many locals and tourists for many years. There are dried radish greens, bamboo shoots, seasoned aster and boiled Sancheong's black pork. - Black pork.

/ - Those and many more can be enjoyed with a bowl of yellow safflower rice. There's not a seat empty at the table now. We haven't felt this way warm in a long time. One person makes a huge difference.

Finally, we found the last piece to our puzzle. Normally, Defconn should be left out from dinner. But since today's a special day, a day of reunion for the six of you, we'll allow you to share dinner with them. - We should share.
