BRB on Hiatus

2010-06-14T18:00:00.000+08:00

So yeah. I'm going to leave this blog for a while because school will start on Wednesday and it'll be pretty hectic (ugh majoring years) so, yeah. I must lessen the time I spend doing absolutely unproductive things on the computer so I must stop watching animu and similar shiz.

Random stuff before ending this post..

Oh, there's Toycon 2010 on the 19th! I heard that Tuxedo Team will be attending. Baaaww, I cannot because I'm broke, too bad. Have fun, to those who can attend.

FMA Brotherhood manga has ended, I heard. And with the release of FMA Brotherhood 61, there are only 2 episodes to go before the finale.

Ugh, I must finish watching Liar Game 2! The show ended months ago and I'm still on episode something.

Check out Yankee- kun to Megane- chan! IT HAS KANATA HONGO IN IT, YOU KNOW.

Stylish eSper Shooting Sports-- S4 LEAGUE!

2010-06-02T04:50:00.005+08:00

S4 League is originally a Korean online multiplayer third person shooting game developed by the guys behind my favorite rhythm game DJ Max, Pentavision. The English version is hosted at UK by Alaplaya and the Korean by Pmang.
I stumbled upon this game when I was playing DJ Max almost two years ago, specifically in Supersonic. I discovered that Supersonic is the BGM on one of the maps in the game. Anyhoo, I just bothered to download the client when my summer vacation for this year started, hence the low rank.

GAMEPLAY

S4 has four modes of play. Here's a brief description of each:

Chaser- This mode is like a game of tag, wherein there is a randomly chosen Chaser that will chase the other players while they struggle for survival within the time limit.

What I love about this mode is that if players see the chance, they will cooperate on bullying the chaser earning them points and making the chaser fall off the map (often the case on Circle 2).

This game is even more fun played on Sword Match, because it will be challenging for the chaser and lulz- inducing for the other players.

Touchdown- Just like in a game of football, you need to put the ball (in this case, it's a Fumbi) on the enemy's goal to score.

While holding the Fumbi, the player is subject to Über sp loss, Über counter sword spam and Über stuns. My favorite map on this mode is Station 2 because you can rail if you're a faggot/noob/whatnot and ta-da, instant TD. Teamwork is really essential and in my case, I usually support the one holding the ball, defend the goal post and kill railing dudes (they are really annoying I swear, killing them is usually pure luck). I also like playing this on sword match because I hate snipers.

Deathmatch- One really crazy and exciting mode. There are two teams killing each other until they reach a certain score or until the time is up.

Killed three enemies kinda simultaneously by accident. Got killed afterwards. XD

Arcade- The most rarely played mode in S4. It's about completing lame missions with other players and you're going to fight robots and whatnot to earn PEN (money used to buy the basic stuff).

WEAPONS

Weapons include guns, some melee, and some recovery weapons which can also be used for offense. There are also pretty useful skill items like block, shield, flying etc. Well, I love using melee weapons and playing sword matches because I suck at dodging shots, especially from snipers. Plus, there is some sort of "FUCK YEAH" feel that I love when I do a one-hit KO with a storm bat. :3

CHARACTERS

S4 has this anime- like kickass-ness (wut) feel on the costumes.

They have pretty cool poses too. There are also commands that will make your character wave, boo, and even dance Wonder Girls's Nobody.

S4 League is really a fun action- packed online game you'll never get tired of playing. There are cool jump tricks you'll be frustrated (happens a lot in my case, haha almost broke the keyboard) to learn and some other shooting and dodging techniques. Unfortunately, I live far from the server so players usually get mad at me for lagging :< BUT I heard the US version is in the works already so yeah, hope that'll make me things better.

Pokemon Black/White Starter Pokemons and Protagonists Revealed

2010-05-14T03:23:00.001+08:00

Kinda late post. Found this the day before yesterday on Serebii.net:

BAAAAWWWW what about the flaming scorpion? DX

Pokemon Black/White Starter Pokemon Teaser

2010-05-11T20:41:00.001+08:00

These silhouettes are posted on Serebii.net however, I found this picture on Tumblr:

GREEN PANDA/ RACCOON, RANDOM SEA CREATURE AND FLAMING SCORPION LIKE YEAH. Which do you think is the real one? That stuff from a magazine does not fit the silhouettes so, yeah. Anyhow, I'LL FRICKIN' GET THAT FLAMING SCORPION.

My eyes.. my eyes.. + Pokemon Heart Gold

2010-05-07T02:49:00.002+08:00

I've noticed that compared to my summer vacation last year, I'm pretty unproductive this year on this certain hobby called watching anime. BLAME IT ON MY EYES.
Gah, can't stand watching five hours straight anymore because it frickin' hurts to do so like ffffff FML. I have to finish watching 81 episodes of Gintama before school starts!

LESSON: TAKE CARE OF YOUR EYES IF YOU WANT TO GROW OLD WATCHING ANIME, LOL.

And oh, another thing. I lost my dundundundun... save data for Pokemon Platinum. OTL
Like wtf, when will I be finally given the chance to finish that game? That game is more than one year old in my HD and I'm still on the 7th gym at Snowpoint. TAT

Soooo.. to get over that thing, I resumed playing Heart Gold English version, which again I doubt that I will finish (I love dropping things haha) because of those stupid random crashes caused by the anti-piracy shiz Nintendo invented (bad me is bad >:D). Anyhoo, I found some cheat codes for the black screen problem:
The code:
020DD9E4 E1A00000
020D3820 E1A00000

OR
020DE16C E1A00000
020D3FA8 E1A00000

To install, just go to utility>cheats>add new in your No$, copy and paste those stuff, select RAW and Action Replay DS.
And for the random "The ROM image has crashed" on NO$GBA, I have this alternative NDS emulator called iDeas.

Some screenshots:

Yay, rotating Pokemart sign! *w* Pokecenter looks like a gym tho.

That same effin rival.

Eggs. Pfffft

Nice wind effect. Pretty nifty stuff on the lower screen, yes?

Lockerz and Left 4 Dead 2

2010-04-27T04:20:00.005+08:00

I feel like talking about things starting with the letter L today. @_@

1. Lockerz.com
*copy pastah*

Lockerz is a new interactive website, where you can earn points which are called PTZ. You can earn PTZ just by logging in, answering daily questions or polls, watching videos, referring friends. You earn 2 PTZ by logging in, 2 PTZ for answering daily questions or polls, 2 PTZ for every video you watch, and 2 PTZ for referring friends. Earn more by becoming a Z-List member.

What do you do with the PTZ (Points)?

The PTZ can be used to redeem for prizes. Well what kind of prizes? Well, the list of prizes includes Amazon Cash, Paypal Cash, Apple Nano, Apple MacBook, Apple Ipad, Apple Itouch, Apple Ipod, Sony PS3 Slim, Sony PSP, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DSI, Burton Snowboards, T-Shirts and many more being added.

So yeah, that pretty much explained everything. Pretty cool, yes? Registration is only possible through invitations so I'll send you one if you want, just comment your e-mail ad or something.

2. Left 4 Dead 2's The Passing

Finally, Valve released their first L4D2 DLC, The Passing, last April 22. Got the chance to play it today and well, it is too short! Some screenshots:

Nick vs Francis

The Wedding Witch (reminds me of this certain anime I used to watch when I was little, Wedding Peach XD)

The Fallen Survivor.

IFLY Nick

I was expecting some explanation about Bill's death but there's nothing but fan speculations, gah. I was surprised to see him lying dead and I was like, EH WTF that's it? I was expecting some drama. Bummer.

Anyhow, the finale is pretty challenging! Similar to the Dead Center finale, you need to collect gas cans (16 frickin' gas cans in this case). Problem is, they are so frickin' far apart and frickin' hordes attacking almost every 3 minutes. PLUS, too many fothermuckin Tanks! I have never been attacked by that many Tanks in my entire life. I think a total of 7 Tanks have appeared when I'm halfway through and shiz happened. As of now, I'm still not properly done with that finale (finished it using cheats just to see the ending, lulz).

Money and guns. Yeah.

Pffft. PvZ

This made my day:

Inactive blog is veeeery inactive

2010-04-16T05:10:00.000+08:00

Last post: December 2009.
WELL, I was on hiatus on watching anime shiz for three months because of stuff and I just resumed coping with the anime community. Can't find anything new that is interesting other than Karas which is soo 2007. Anyhow, I've been ~~posting~~ ranting a lot in my Wordpress and Tumblr hence the inactivity in this site. Lulz, I almost forgot that this exist. Haha adashbcfjkhsihjsdinhfj my brother is here.

2009 Anime List

2009-12-30T00:49:00.008+08:00

2009 is about to end so I'm going to reminisce some (because I'm too lazy to include the shows I ditched after seeing an episode or so) of the anime shows I've seen this year.
Obtw, I'm fond of watching completed anime series so you may find pretty old stuff here. Eh, it's such a hassle to download episodes one-by-one so I download by batch. ;)
Moving on.. The first thing I've finished this year...

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi

Action, comedy, and er... ecchi. Those are the first things I could think of about this one. It teaches many lessons in life too. Eh basically about being stronger and stuff like that. And oh, I can somehow relate to Kenichi. Like me, he has no talent. He only has determination and diligence. But somehow, he can beat the crap out of the gangsters in the story. @_@ Awesumsauce. The manga is still ongoing I think. I dropped reading it tho. Action stories are better watched, not read you know. OH HERE COMES MY RHYMES AGAIN ZOMG
My score: 9/10

Kuroshitsuji

SHONEN AI SHONEN AI SHONEN AI SHONEN AI PLEASE!
Hoho. While I'm interested in shonen ai and similar stuff (*coughs*yaoi*coughs*), I haven't really watched a series that revolves around such (*coughs*Junjou Romantica*coughs*Gravitation*coughs*). Well, it is NOT SAFE FOR.. kids. There are kids around me so, no. Just no. Moving on. Why the hell am I talking about guy- love when it is not really sure that Kuroshitsuji has one? OH U. Malicious much? XD
Now, moving on for real, Kuroshitsuji is about Sebastian and Ciel and their awesum buttse and fulfilling Ciel's goal. I love how dark and gothic the atmosphere in Kuroshitsuji is. I also love the irony in this show. Well, Ciel sold his soul to the demon-turned-butler-but-in-any-case-still-a-demon-lol Sebastian in order to fulfill his wish that I think is to avenge his parents and his dignity (?). So Sebastian is a demon and guess wut. The enemies are the angels. The angels want Ciel to forget his past or something like that which is, come to think of it, good, but Ciel refuses. Well, what's the use of selling his soul to the demon if he will just forget it and stuff. Oh right. The angels look veeeery eeeevil here as they try to destroy London in order to 'purify' the city or something like that. Oh my memory is failing me again. Other than the real plot, what I really love about this anime is the Victorian feel it gives- the dresses, the structures, the elegance and stuff. Lol I should've wrote a full- length review of this anime instead. >_>
My score: 9/10

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
WARNING: YOU MIGHT CONSIDER ME AS A HERETIC HERE, PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE. I'M STILL YOUNG AND I'M STILL NOT DONE WATCHING MY 200 GB WORTH OF ANIME GOODNESS IN MY HARD DRIVE.

Let me begin with something really rude.
WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH THIS SHOW?
Srsly, tell me please. WTF's wrong with the order of the episodes? I appreciate a little of it tho. Just like in Higurashi, a bit related to the previous ep appears in the next one or in the next next one and so on. But no, JUST NO. Haruhi is a mess. Sorry gaiz, but I'm a little bit irritated at Mikuru. She's so moe and I hate that. Oh lol, I remember this otaku guy I met when I was buying DVDs. He was insisting that I should watch Lamune blah blah. So he asked the the 'saleslady' to play the first episode of Lamune. I heard the voice of the moe character and I was like... DO NOT WANT. So he told me that her seiyuu was the seiyuu of Mikuru. I knew it. ULTIMATE DO NOT WANT. Enough of this moe crap, pretty please? (Bitter girl here, oh lol).
Sorry but I hate cute anime girls who were made to satisfy the desires of otaku men. And I hate the creators of such even more. So other than the moe characters and dancing, there's nothing really good in this show. Like, seriously. At first I liked this because of the Haruhi-is-God crap but I got tired of it as it gets so overrated. Yeah, this show is frickin' overrated and I don't have any idea how it even became one.
My score: 3/10 I'm being kind here. The animation is fine so let's give it some score.

Darker Than Black- Kuro no Keiyakusha and Ryuusei no Gemini

I like the action and mystery in this show. Yeah mystery. There are many things I didn't fully understand in the first season and the second one didn't help. The characters are so interesting as each contractor differ from another in terms of capabilities and remunerations.
My score: 9/10

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

The most anticipated show of mine this year, I think? I'm not a hardcore FMA fan, but I was really looking forward to this show. Brotherhood is basically the same story as the first anime, it's just that it follows the storyline of the FMA manga. I'm not sure how much stuff was changed since I'm not a die-hard fan of this so yeah. This anime is awesome anyway so who cares. XD
Score: 9/10

Bokurano

I have something posted about this: here.
I rewatch some episodes occassionally because it is really great. Eh, scrap that, some episodes are really great.
Score: 7/10

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai

I have something about this here.
My favorite anime this year. It is really frickin' awesome.
Some snapshots:

Kasai with a shotgun: coolest Higurashi thing ever.
Score: 10/10

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

I refused to watch this for so many times because I thought it was an old school type of anime. I was not impressed at the graphics I see on posters so I just ignored this. But heck, I discovered this show is really awesome! Too lazy to elaborate but this is really a must- watch gaiz, for those who haven't watched it yet.
Score: 10/10

Soul Eater

It's really entertaining at first but it became boring at the last episodes. The art is really great though.
Score: 9/10
Bakemonogatari

I am somehow disappointed with this show. The first episode is sooo impressive, I watch it over and over again but the succeeding ones are not.. that... er... good. Well, compared to the first ep! I decided to cosplay Senjougahara because of the first episode. The kickass girl who uses stationaries to hurt people. But well, it was a trap. Eh, somehow it was a trap. I did not know that she is a frickin tsundere. Well yeah, Bakemonogatari failed to give me the action and gore that I was anticipating. Well, just look at the first events (NO, not that pantsu- viewing event) srsly, look.

Eh, nvm, here it is. Start with 0:50 please.

So in the first episode, I gave it a 10 but in the next ones, eh, just the average score. But it is unique, nonetheless. And that's what I love about this. Senjougahara is so awesome and I adore her relationship with Araragi. They are both good at words and I love them arguing.
Score: 8/10

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

The funniest thing I've ever seen after Gintama. It's so random and it is super hilarious.

ZETSUBOUSHITA!
Score: 9/10

Gundam 00 S2

I'm too lazy to elaborate how epic this show is so I'll just post vids.
This is a very funny preview of this season:

But srsly, here's the climax. Ooooooh spoilers.

So that's it. I'm too lazy to include more.
Happy New Year to everyone!
I'm expecting Alive: The Final Evolution to air in 2010. Oh pretty please?

Cowboy Bebop Live- Action Movie

2009-12-28T23:07:00.000+08:00

Srsly, kill me gaiz. Kill me.
I'm not updated! WTF.
Anyhow, 20th Century Fox will be adapting the anime Cowboy Bebop into a live- action movie!
More info here:
Hurr hurr too lazy
Keanu Reeves as Spike! *w*
I suck. This was announced almost a year ago and I didn't even got a hint of this news. FML

Gintama on ABS-CBN

2009-12-26T16:25:00.001+08:00

So I heard ABS-CBN will air a Tagalog- dubbed Gintama soon.
Ummm.. Okay.
Now I'm wondering how the hell are they going to explain the parodies and jokes in that show?
Are they going to put a subtitle or something? Hahaha.
I'm curious. I must check that out.

Ore wa Gundam da!

2009-12-23T01:17:00.004+08:00

So after more than a year, I finally had the time to watch the second season of Gundam 00.
LOL at episode 18.
Celestial Being was about to commence an operation when the Meisters expressed their sentiments (lol?) by saying one word. So most of the Meisters mentioned a person. Here it goes:
(not sure about the order)
Lockon: Anew
Soma: Taisa
Allelujah: Mary
Saji: Louise
Tieria: Veda (I LOL'd)
Setsuna: GUNDAM.

So I was like, GUNDAM, FOR THE EFFIN WIN!
I seriously ROFL'd when I heard that. Sheesh, Setsuna needs a life. Eh, Gundam is his life I think? He said he's a Gundam anyway. Ore wa Gundam ftw.

An Anime Fan's Childhood Memories

2009-11-20T17:37:00.003+08:00

I've been an anime fan since childhood and in this post, I'mma dump all the anime opening/ending songs that remind me of my childhood days.

Magic Knight Rayearth- Yuzurenai Negai

Honestly, I have forgotten the story of this show already. After a long time, I heard this song again in AOF 09. OH THE FRICKIN' CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. I remember being obsessed with this show. My sketchpad was full of Rayearth stuff. Now, I don't even remember its story and the names of the characters. Wait. I remember Hikaru, Umi and.. something. Ah, Fuu! There, I remembered the main characters! :D

Yu Yu Hakusho- Hohoemi no Bakudan

I'm not much of a fan of this anime but this is such a classic. I remember my uncles watching this so I got to watch too. Oh, the memories. Lol, Toguro Brothers.

Pokemon Theme Song

Any kid of my time loves Pokemon! I love this song so much. I listen to it until now.And oh, I'm still playing the game. Oh the Game Boy memories.

Fushigi Yuugi- Itooshi Hito no Tameni

Any girl my age back then is obsessed with this anime! I LOVE YOU HOTOHORI. I think I finished this. LOL at the ecchi scenes. I remember Yui falling from the sky, NAKED. XD

Monster Rancher- DUNNO THE TITLE OMG

Another forgotten story. I remember the character, Molly, though. I think I used to play the game in my PSone..

Cyborg Kuro-chan

LOL at the Tagalog version. Reminds me of the lulz I had with my grade school classmates. POW! Alright! Talbog lahat ng kalaban, baby! POW! HAHAHAHA!

Shaman King- Oversoul

Shaman King is such a great anime! The title of this song is cool too. Hahaha. I don't remember the names of the characters well. Hmmm. I remember Ren Tao. Yeah! Right! That guy with an insanely huge DAD.

Cardcaptor Sakura

YEAH I HAVE TO ADMIT I USED TO WATCH AND LOVE THIS ANIME, LOL. Oh the cuteness. XD

So, yeah. That's it. Hmmm.. I think I'll post my favorite anime opening and ending songs next. Ja~

Random Random Random Stuff

2009-11-16T23:49:00.007+08:00

I am not posting stuffs lately because I'm not in the mood to do so and heck, I was in despair for no particular reason at all. For the lulz, I'll just post some stuffs I have encountered recently.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood 31

Kimblee is out of jail and he is being creepy with swallowing that stone. UGH. Dr. Marcoh... needs a plastic surgery, many thanks to Scar. You can simply have him undergo a surgery or some alchemy thing you know. What's with the blasting-Marcoh's-face act? Oh, maybe that's the alchemy thing since Scar's alchemy is all about destruction.

Naruto 471

New Samehada is new. K. Kisame is being creepy by combining with his sword. Ugh.

Bakemonogatari 13

Delayed and stuff and I remember not finding any torrents on Nov. 8 but it looks like it was released on Nov. 3. =_= It's the continuation of the Tsubasa cat story. Bakemonogatari's nearing its end and I need to find a new anime now. Oh crap. 07 Ghost. Gah. I find it really hard to cope with that. Straying away from the topic, oops.

Liar Game 2

Oh joooooooy~
I love this J-drama so much. I'm not familiar with the manga so I don't know if it's a continuation of the story or if it follows the manga story so, yeah. Anyhow, I loved the first season so I'm expecting so much from this sequel. Matsuda Shota and Erika Toda! OH NOES. I don't wanna see that Mushroom guy again. "Nao-chan, kimi wa hontoni.. BAKA DAYO NE?!"
*throws mushrooms at Mushroom guy's face*

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Downloading this took super less time so, yeah. Another random comedy anime

Instant fav. I love it. I'm done with the first season and I'm almost done with this one. Finishing Zan will take a while though since there's school now. ;___; ZETSUBOUSHITA!

The Hunger Games series

I saw a large banner of this and when I saw the description, I instantly searched for an e-book!
Kids killing each other, gore, politics, a love story that is given more emphasis in its sequel, and stuff. Kinda short and full of zzzzzzzzs though. Anyway, KATNISS IS THE MAN YO.

AOF 09

Did not spend much time inside the event for the lulz.
Well, because of this:

Anyhow, some pictures:

I went there with my sister.

We were also with a good friend Robby..

and Alex. We had a sort-of photoshoot for her debut party invitation. XD

I cosplayed as Senjougahara Hitagi from Bakemonogatari and my sister as Roxanne from Pokemon. Special thanks to pedobear for haunting my sister. XD

So there, finally posted a lenghty post again. Eh, not really. But compared to the previous ones.. meh. Whatevs. Kay, I'll be online but for a very short short short time only. Maybe just to check my mail. So yeah. Happy Hunger Games! May the odds be EVER in you favor!
Lolz too lazy to check the grammarz and spellingz

P.S.
I'm stalking quite a handful of blogs now. You should also check them out. You'll surely have fun. :)
And oh, they're just doing it for the lulz, mmmkay?

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni + Kai

2009-09-29T15:14:00.006+08:00

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (When The Cicadas Cry) started as a murder mystery doujin soft sound novel by Ryukusihi07, turned into a game, and then an anime series. The first anime, licensed by Geneon, aired from April 2006 until September 2006 with 26 episodes. The sequel, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai (When The Cicadas Cry Solutions) aired from July 2007 to December 2007, with 24 episodes. This has also been adapted into two live- action movies, released in May 2008 and May 2009.

PLOT

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni takes place during June 1983, at a fictional rural village called Hinamizawa which is based on Shirakawa, Gifu which has a population of approximately 2,000.
The main character, Keiichi Maebara, moves to Hinamizawa and befriends his new classmates Rena Ryuugu, Mion Sonozaki, Rika Furude, and Satoko Hojo. Keiichi joins their after-school club activities, which consist mostly of card and board games (and punishment games for the loser, usually him.) Hinamizawa appears to be a normal, peaceful, rural village to Keiichi. However, the tranquility abruptly ends after the annual Watanagashi Festival, a celebration to commemorate and give thanks to the local god, Oyashiro. Keiichi learns that every year for the past four years, one person has been murdered and another has gone missing on the day of the Watanagashi Festival. Keiichi himself soon becomes drawn into the strange events surrounding the Watanagashi Festival and Oyashiro. In each story arc, he or one of his friends become paranoid, and a crime is committed. Usually, the crime involves the murder of one of their own friends.
-From Wikipedia
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
At first, this anime will make you think it's the usual harem type with cute little girls who are going to get raped. Then, it will become a story of paranoid kids killing each other because of paranoia over "Oyashiro-sama". Then it'll become a fight versus fate. Then, you'll find out there's a deeper meaning with a political conflict (SRS BSNS) involved.

For starters, let's have this video of episode 1

The very first scene will already give you an idea of what kind of anime this is. Each chapter kinda show a different perspective of the story. Each character is given a spotlight. All ends the same way- Watanagashi time, someone will be the killer and someone will be killed, Furude Rika will die and all residents of Hinamizawa will die. At first, I thought this "Oyashiro-sama" really has something to do with it. It will be revealed later on that this has a scientific explanation and it is not about the wrath of a god and stuff. There is a survivor occasionally. Then a new story will start. At the end of the first Higurashi, viewers are given a bit of an explanation of why the heck this crazy story is happening. What I love about this series is that, a mystery in a story will be answered in the next, though the next has no direct connection to the previous. So you need to complete watching it to understand the story better. Pretty hard to explain, really. But all will be answered in Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai. And oh, I suggest you skip the first episodes of an arc if you want serious action. Watch the last two episodes! ;)

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai

The first episode is pretty boring. It starts with the old policeman (gwah, forgot his name) and Akasaka interviewing the grown- up Rena. Then the usual story will start. The story will develop (and will make more sense) on the episodes that will follow. On episode 11 most especially, the mastermind will be revealed. Episode 12, the kids will discover the truth and on episode 13, they will try to fight fate and the mystery of the death of the Hinamizawa residents will be revealed. They will lose and they will return to a new Hinamizawa and again, they will fight fate. By this time, each of them has memories of the 'other world' they were in and they will correct their mistakes in the current world. Too much spoiler already! XD

On other note, I haven't watched Rei, (the third installment) because I've been reading many negative feedbacks about it. In fact, Hitler was not impressed.

Score: 10/10

ART
Hmmm.. Not bad for a violent anime. They are good at showing terrible things but unfortunately, it is usually just a glimpse. Bummer. My favorite is the glimpse of Keiichi's body with fingers full of nails and stomach cut open. :3 Shion made that episode really epic.

Score: 8/10

SOUND
I love the eerie feeling of Eiko Shimamiya's voice! Her songs really fit the Higurashi atmosphere. I love Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni above all.

Score: 9/10

ENJOYMENT
I think this is not for weak- hearted people, lol. On the contrary, people who love violence will surely like this. But hey, it's not all about the violence. It has a deeper meaning! Violence just serves as the appetizer of this show. :3

Score : 10/10

OVERALL
This is a very good anime. All horror stories must be like this! Conventional horror stories usually include ghosts and legends and stuff. Higurashi looks like the same at first, but in Kai, everything will be revealed including the real sense of the story. The ending is perfect. All became clear and there're no frickin' cliffhangers (I HATE CLIFFHANGERS).

Score: 9/10

An event organized by the people behind Otakuzine mag and other events like Cosplay Mania and Ozine Fest. I really had fun! I saw loads of dA people. There were anime geeks everywhere!

Complete pics here.

We were too early so we decided to chill at Starbucks on the 4th floor.
Ticket number 61! Early birds are early.

Hai thur Hetalia's Italy and Gurren Lagann's Yoko! >:3 Pasta~

Vocaloid's Hatsune Miku and my sister

K-On! people. Mica (discordia24 on dA) on the left.

Kuroshitsuji's Meirin!

We got exhausted and tired so we took a stroll outside the venue.

We spotted this Timezone game, Guitar Hero! Hooray! No one's playing so we grabbed the guitars immediately. In Timezone Trinoma, this game is so in-demand. I have never tried playing it there, because it is usually surrounded by lots of people.

We also dropped by Power Books...

..and Bubble Tea. My sister wants her bubbles, NAO.

We spotted these Wii imitations! LOL, WiWi and Vii!

We headed back to Megatrade Hall 3 and arrived just in time for the Cosplay Competition.

These are my favorites:

After the competition, I approached the Gosiengfiao sisters and took these:

Aside from spotting Internet celebrities and dA people, I also spotted an old friend, Moses!

ZOMG this post is so loaded with pictures! That's all for this post!

Cosplay Mania and UAAP cheerdance competition on Sept. 13! I'm planning to attend Cosplay Mania after watching the cheerdance competition. XD

P.S.

I saw this on Alodia's dA journal:

That's me and my sister, being members of the paparazzi! XD

That's how I took the photos of the Gosiengfiao sisters. XD

Bokurano

2009-06-29T14:10:00.017+08:00

Bokurano is a 24-episode anime produced by the studio who fancy dark stories (like this), Gonzo. It is an adaptation of Moshiro Kitoh's 10-volume manga. This anime has mecha and lots of drama.

STORY

While on a summer nature school in Mitomi Island, fifteen kids discovers a cave by the sea. They meet a man, who claims to be a programmer, named Kokopelli. He persuades them to try his game by entering a contract. The game is about defeating 15 alien invasions using the robot which the kids named Zearth.

The first pilot, after successfully defeating the first enemy, "accidentally" falls from the robot. The kids discover that Zearth runs using life force, meaning, a pilot will die after every battle. KAY, survival tiem.

The story is sort of sadistic. The children entered the contract, terms are not explained. The chosen pilot fights and wins, then dies. The pilot loses, his Earth dies. The pilot will not fight, his Earth dies. The kids have no option, and there's no way to escape the contract. And heck, the fights usually occur in a city so there is a great deal of wrecking and destroying involved.

Each story in Bokurano centers on the life of the current pilot. I was moved by each story, as it usually centers on the thing each kid has to face- death. Bokurano's drama is extraordinary unlike the usual love story we usually encounter in a show under this genre. Each story reflects real- life situations we are experiencing today. Bokurano teaches many lessons too.

Score: 9/10

ART
I'm not impressed plz. However, the style they used on the robots is awesome. Unfortunately, the robots here are very lame and not that kickass type we see on Gundam. I was really disappointed. Since it is sort of mecha anime, I was expecting good animation.

Score: 5/10

SOUND
Nothing special.

Score: 6/10

ENJOYMENT
I was really affected by this show. Actually I was thinking about making my last will because I realized there's really no way to know when you'll die. Hahaha. I enjoyed this show because of its lessons and excellent portraying of real life.

Score: 9/10

OVERALL
The sound sucks, the art sucks, THE ROBOTS SUCK. However, this show gives many life lessons. Plus, [WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD] the seiyuu of Ushiro Jun (the last pilot) is Junko Minagawa! Yes, yes, the woman behind Ryoma Echizen's voice! Anyway, Bokurano is a must- watch if you are into dark, serious, deep, twisted and crazy stories.
Score: 7/10

Naruto 453

2009-06-26T18:46:00.024+08:00

This week's Naruto will surely cause fangasms all over the Internetz! Sasgay's back and all over the place! There's even Gaara at the end.

Team Taka heads to Konoha. Then, Tobi (who is definitely not a good boy anymore) appears.
Team Taka was like "Oh shi-" and stuff.
Suigetsu: Shit, bad timing. We are very tired and we're about to rest, you know.
Sasuke: How did you know where I was?
Madara: Don't underestimate my hunk radar, idiot.
Sasuke: Damn it, why am I always being followed by these frickin' rapists? First Orochimaru, then Naruto, then this Madara!
Then Tobi tells them how stupid they was for being tricked by that Kirabi (Killerbee, the gangsta jinchuuriki of the hachibi).
Tobi: Now, that's one big epic fail gaiz.
Team Taka:
Tobi:
Team Taka:
Sasuke: Tobi:

~~Tobi~~ Madara tells Sasuke that Konohagakure no longer exists. Zetsu appears, telling them that Danzou is the new hokage.
Sasuke:
Madara: Just as planned.
Madara tells him that the five kages will hold a meeting.

Meanwhile, Naruto meets Killerbee's gangsta friends and asked them to tell everything they know about Saskay.
Sakura:
Karui: Damn, your crying won't bring Killerbee or Yugito back!
Sai: Er.. you know, now that the order has been sent out to kill Sasuke, I'm sure the village will provide you with all the information you need. There's no need to pressure these guys.
Naruto: Yeah right. You've said the "S" word many times already.

Team Samui:
Team Samui: B-b-b-b-but we just thought we'd see if we could find more info (like what's his favorite color and type of girl, lol.)!
Naruto:
So there, they decide to find Killerbee instead. I miss that guy, btw.
On the other hand, the Akatsuki guys found that Naruto defeated Pain. Yes. I can understand them if they can't believe it. You'll never believe how Pain was defeated, really. Read Sasuke's reply? Good.
(YOU FAILED NARUTO, LOL)

Kay, change of plans. They're going to kill the kages! FFFFFFFFF
O WAAAAAI.
Yeah, Danzou will be targeted and hopefully, killed (>:D OH JOY). BUT, it just happened that..
...ONE OF OUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS IS ALSO A KAGE, GODDAMMIT!

Well, that's it for this week.

PSP Go Hands- on Preview

2009-06-26T11:56:00.009+08:00

The PSP Go, Sony's big announcement for E3, crept out way early. The PSP Go was leaked ahead of schedule in a video with Qore host Veronica Belmont and John Koller, director of hardware marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America. A basic rundown of the portable console reveals that it has 16GB of onboard storage, no UMD drive, is substantially smaller, and will cost $249 when it hits retail on October 1.

PSP Go open

According to Sony, the PSP Go isn't meant to replace an existing PSP but merely augment the device for a different class of users. It made the device for those who abandoned physical media; hence, the 16GB of storage space, expandable via the M2 memory stick slot.
With onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the PSP Go downloads data, games, and connects to headsets wirelessly. Sony is emphasizing downloadable games for the device, a play to meet Nintendo's DSi Shop and Apple's monumentally successful App Store for the iPhone. Representatives indicated that there's a good will plan in the works to prevent alienation of existing PSP owners. Basically, if you already have a ton of PSP games, Sony will likely offer some sort of program so that you don't have to repurchase them.

PSP Go closed

The PSP Go weighs 40 percent less and is 50 percent smaller than the existing PSP-3000. Despite its lightness, the PSP Go feels very solid. The sliding mechanism moves smoothly, and it seems like it could take a decent amount of wear and tear. Like the iPhone, the PSP Go does not have an interchangeable battery.
While we haven't exactly had a prolonged gaming session with the device, the smaller screen doesn't seem to detract from gameplay much. The Go's screen has the same resolution as the original PSP, except it's squished into a 3.8" LCD.

PSP Go comparison

Surprisingly, the PSP Go isn't much larger than the iPhone. It's roughly twice as thick and extends slightly over the iPhone's screen to totally cover it. As a result, the controls are also squished together, but they don't seem to suffer for it. The buttons and D pad work well, and the analog stick functions about the same as the one found on the original PSP.
We didn't get to try out any of the wireless capabilities of the console or even the software that will come with it. From a hardware standpoint, the PSP Go seems remarkably well built and fit for consumption. We'll have a more in-depth analysis of the handheld once we have a retail kit.

Naruto Shippuden Movie 2: Bonds

2009-06-24T16:38:00.029+08:00

Bonds is the second Shippuden movie which was released on August 2, 2008. The DVD came out last April 22, 2009 (and from there came the fansubbed copies that we're enjoying lol).

The movie begins with Sasuke showing his fangirls how manly he is with his cowboy music.

And there, he takes off his clothes and...

dundundundun.. shows his AWESOME *rolls eyes* muscles....

....then, drowns himself.
Meanwhile...

Unknown shit appears on the sea.

Unfamiliar ninja village symbol on forehead protector is unfamiliar.
Then suddenly.. they launch..
STUFF! Oooh technology. This made me check if it's Naruto I'm watching.

And off they go... attacking Konoha!

Konoha ninjas attacks them with kunais and ninja stuff..

Unfortunately, they're useless! D:

Because ninja stuff is soo 1400!

So they fight until the bastards ran out of chakra.
Naruto meets a doctor and asks..
Well, it just happened that you're a frickin' famous ninja boy.
Famous ninja. Oh, the irony. XD

Okay. I'm making this post too long and heavy with photos.
So I'll just get into the review.

PLOT
For the summary, click this. Lazy me is lazy. So, I was like, "Er... that's it?" when I finished the movie. The story is sort of small and lame.

Score: 7/10

ART
Eh, same old same old. Nothing new. Anyhow, the quality is awesome.

Score: 9/10

SOUND
Now, this is what I love in this movie. The sound effects are awesome. They suit the events perfectly. I lol'd at the the part where Shino finishes his job and his bugs starts to eat the enemy's ships. The background music is The Flight of the Bumblebee! EPIC WIN!

Score: 10/10

ENJOYMENT
For me, reading the manga is better than watching the series, and watching the movie is the best way to enjoy Naruto! Naruto movies have less talk and drama compared to the anime series (which is sooo full of fillers). I really enjoyed this movie. It's so packed with action and lulz.

Example of lulz:

Amaru confessed.
Sensei LOL'd
And received a punch. Hahaha! DON'T MESS WITH A WOMAN'S HEART, YOU BASTARD!

Another one..

Shut up, betch.

SO.. Sasuke and Naruto are alone in the flying fortress. Sasuke sees this as an opportunity to do it with Naruto......

Unfortunately...
Naruto seems unprepared so he uses his Rasengan to break the stuff Sasuke is on.
Sasuke:

Naruto: Later!

Sasuke: Dammit.

Why, it's a pity they were not able to do it. To hang out and catch up on each other' s lives, that is. XD

Score: 10/10

OVERALL

I enjoyed the action in this movie. Two thumbs up.

Score: 9/10

Gintama

2009-06-07T13:33:00.004+08:00

Gintama is a hilarious anime airing since April 2006. As of now, there are 161 episodes that can be watched on Crunchyroll. Unlike any other comedy anime, it is not boring because it has less talk. If you like Naruto and Bleach but hate those long boring talks and fights that take over 9000 episodes to finish, you'll probably love Gintama. Gintama's story is sooo random, so watching it is all for the heck of enjoying 24 minutes of your life. Samurai/Ninja- themed anime fans may be disappointed, though. Because unlike Basilisk and Afro Samurai, this does not contain heavy drama and gore.

STORY
The story takes place in Edo (known today as Tokyo because of the name change in 1868), Japan, which has been taken over by aliens called Amanto since the late Edo period. The samurai of Japan have fallen, and the Amanto placed a ban on carrying swords in public. The story focuses on an eccentric samurai, Gintoki Sakata, his (partial) apprentice Shinpachi Shimura, and a teenage alien girl: Kagura. All three are "free-lancers" who search for work in order to pay the monthly rent, which usually goes unpaid anyway.

Score: 3/10. LOL. It's so random. There's no storyline. Period. XD

ART
Gintama has the style otakus of this generation love. Just the same style, though. Nothing new and special.

Score: 9/10

SOUND
The opening and closing songs are quite catchy. I like Pray (the first opening song) the most.

Score: 9/10

WORTH WATCHING?
F yes! I highly recommend this anime for those people bored of the same old anime that fall under the comedy category. The parodies are frickin' funny! There's Prince of Tennis, Naruto, Bleach and many more! It has the right amount of action and comedy.

OVERALL
9/10
The best comedy anime I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it's just about the comedy.. and action.

About

2009-06-07T12:26:00.021+08:00

My name is Faye! I'm 17 (turning 18 reaaaally soon) and I'm an engineering student at the University of Santo Tomas. I'm from the beautiful tropical country of the Philippines hence the morena skin. I'm into things that depend on my mood and I'm usually in the mood to fangirl over Kanata Hongo, watch shonen anime and play arcade, occasional console, and online/offline/multiplayer/whatever computer games. I occasionally read e-books., I used to be a huge fiction dork when I was younger. I don't really have something that I really love and hate. K lame blog name, lame link and everything, but who cares, I can't think of anything better and I'm moody so those 'catchy' blog links don't suit me. ANYHOW, I created this blog to express my interest in stuff, mostly about anime, and amusing things about life. This a very random blog, I must say. Initially, I created this to test my theoretical knowledge about web design because I'm too poor to afford a host and I haven't met this certain free hosting site yet. So now, I blab about things I find interesting and lulz- inducing. To make things short, I blog to have fun. Let's spread the love by blogging and eh, sniping players that are afk?
