PLDT Phone Number Update!!!

2019-10-06T09:28:00.000+08:00

PLDT Phone Number Update!!!

So, today is D-Day. The first day of implementing the most recent update of PLDT in compliance with NTC’s order wherein all telephone numbers with area code 02 will add the number 8 followed by the 7 digit number so there will now be a standard 8 digit phone number apart from the area code.

As per their site:

NTC assigned a PTE (Public Telephone Entity) identified per telecommunication operator. Number 8 is assigned to PLDT.

I haven’t tried my phone number yet as I needed to make sure first that I wouldn’t have any problems when trying to contact my mother… So I dialed hers. And Voila…. I was misdirected to MANULIFE!!! So the first day FAILED! I immediately called PLDT to report this and had them try calling my mom to check if her line is working. Then it dawned on me, hers is not while ours is working… So now, the next question falls on what will happen? I was advised that they will work on my mom's phone number and ETA is 3-6 DAYS!!!! So she will be out of touch for 6 DAYS! Ok, given that the system is not perfect, I understood and gave them a chance. Besides, we have been with PLDT for decades now and so far, is satisfied except for some bouts of challenges which rarely happens.

No ticket number was available as they will just text me the information within 24 hours (just for the ticket number, ugh!)

I will have this post updated once her line gets fixed, for now if you are having the same trouble, call the 171 number and go to technical support for landline. They are already aware that this is happening.

Good luck to all PLDT subscribers!!! I will just update this post at a later date!

You may visit their page for more info using this LINK! Thanks for dropping by! J

********** UPDATE AS OF October 7, 2019**********

I hope everyone's number has already been safely migrated as my mom’s phone number is already up and ready to use in less than 24 hours! Thank you PLDT, I am still one of your million satisfied subscribers!!! For those who are still experiencing problems in line with the recent change, please call the PLDT 171 number and I'm sure they will also do their best to provide you with a speedy service... J

ENZO's 7th Birthday!!!

ENZO’s 7^th Birthday – Roblox Party at Shakey’s

This is a long overdue post which I nevertheless still wanted to share with all of you… My baby is now 7!!! (as of the time of writing, he’s about to turn 8).

We didn’t have much of a choice which was why we came back to Shakey’s Restaurant where he celebrated his 1^st. For the 2^nd time, the place did not disappoint us.

Enzo wanted to have a Roblox party so, again I had to ask for their permission if we (me and hubby) can have the place decorated with our DIY items (most of which were printed out).

Our Roblox standee

The giveaways. what's inside? Roblox items which unfortunately I was unable to document in a picture.

I made a very special invitation for this party and inside the invitation, i have included a bookmark -like item which has a QR Code. I made 20 pcs of this item and assigned a person to scan the code. Each kid who had the winning code got a special prize! You can visit this LINK for the redirect of each code.

This piece was used as the centerpiece made of styrofoam and paper straw. I had the characters printed out in a sticker paper and the final touch is a red ribbon.

These bottles were filled with different kind of sweets which was used to get the Styrofoam standing. Bought the bottles at Daiso for 99php per pack with 4 bots.

The Piñata, made of copy paper box with confetti inside and lots and lotsa sweets and small toys!

The cake from Iko’s. Highly recommended! They were super nice in accommodating all my requests. Of course, it had to be a Roblox cake!!!

We also did the balloons displayed in front, the miniflags hanging everywhere and the logo in the middle… J

and that is me making some last-minute requests with the crew.

Sharing with you all the main event of the day...

My baby had a blast and days away from the party has had sleepless nights due to over-excitement! My heart was filled with joy and I'm sure Jon's as well...

I hope you all enjoy going over the photos...

If you have any questions regarding the expenses and the DIYs, feel free to comment below! :) God bless to us all!

Summer Trip to Bauan , Batangas - New Yorkers Resort

2018-05-17T01:09:00.000+08:00

Bauan, Batangas Trip

As we head towards the last few weeks of summer, just before the new school year starts, we headed out to one of the destination every person from the South is very familiar of, Batangas. This is a province in the Philippines located in the Calabarzon region in Luzon.

According to Wikipedia, Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. It is home to the well-known Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes, and Taal Heritage town, a small town that has ancestral houses and structures dating back to the 19th century. The province also has numerous beaches and diving spots including Anilao in Mabini, Sombrero Island in Tingloy, Ligpo Island and Sampaguita Beach in Bauan, Matabungkay in Lian, Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Calatagan and Laiya in San Juan. All of the marine waters of the province are part of the Verde Island Passage, the center of the center of world's marine biodiversity.

According to Google Map, it is estimated at 99kms from our place in Muntinlupa, not bad for a short weekend getaway.

Initially, we planned on going to Dasol in Pangasinan however, due to time constraints as we need to vote Monday morning (aside from it being a long drive at 312 km), we just decided to explore more of Batangas.

We stayed at the New Yorkers Resort which is a part of Locloc, Bauan. Just a word of caution as the drive was pretty challenging because of very steep and narrow roads.

But wait 'til you get there and see what's in store for you... breathtaking as it has always been, after a few hours of drive, this is what unfolded before us... Sorry guys as I didn't have time to edit the pictures #nofilter

Welcome to New Yorker's Resort! It was an urgent booking that I did the day before we left. I spoke and made the booking through Chelsea who's one of the many nice people in Bauan. you'll never regret booking this place as the people here are super great, kind and very accommodating especially Tatay Rolly and his companions. Grabe, saludo po ako sa inyong lahat and maraming salamat po!

They usually respond within minutes (or seconds!) or you can call them up at 0956 511 6628. If you will be using Google Map or Waze, you can just look up Thalia Beach Resort as they are located just beside it.

Also guys, please note that there is no nearby market so you have to buy all your food on your way to the place. There is one store though that offers food. We tried their Lomi and Pancit Bihon, highly recommended. =D

Sharing with you some more photos I took during our stay...

This is one of my most favorite picture during this trip... Oh before I forget, there are parts of the beach which are rocky while some parts are not...

The pictures below were taken during our boat trip.

Also my favorite, the sunset...

Hope you also had a fun-filled summer. There are a lot of beaches this province has to offer, all we have to do is explore. Goodluck guys and hope you can also visit the New Yorkers Beach... =)

Christmas is still the best and most celebrated time of the year. Just a take away before I end this blog... Let us not forget the true meaning of this season. We do not have to buy expensive gifts for our loved ones, but if we have all the money to spend for them then it is good, otherwise, we can still show them our love by being there for them and by showing them how much love we have. Christmas doesn't have to be expensive, instead it has to be special.

Here's a wonderful Christmas message from Brian Walters

Merry Christmas everyone and may the good Lord shower us with His blessings and Love all throughout this and the years to come...

Peace to ALL!

Hound Haven Philippines

Hound Haven Philippines

I was browsing through the list of my favorite GMA documentaries when I came across an iWitness episode by Kara David on Dogs particularly on K9 dogs who served the military for the most part of their lives. My heart was torn into pieces upon learning the lives these dogs take on after retirement. Good thing Hound Haven is here to give them a temporary shelter and find them a new HOME...

Please watch and share!

I am sharing this with you all so as to create awareness that these furry friends need our care and to belong to a family who can provide shelter and love... They truly deserve more than what they are getting now...

Here is how we can help!

I believe they will soon find their new family. I am planning to visit this place one of these days... I know I can make a difference through small things, I hope you can visit them too!

See you! =)

Intro To Freediving

2017-08-13T17:52:00.000+08:00

I recently had the chance to spend a weekend conquering one of my fears… Exploring THE SEA… and to top it all, I learned the basics of freediving.

Before I start, let’s define what Freediving is… According to Wikipedia (which I suppose is the “go to” for such definitions. Lol!) - Freediving, free-diving, free diving, breath-hold diving, or skin diving is a form of underwater diving that relies on divers' ability to hold their breath until resurfacing rather than on the use of a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear.

Upon arrival, we were asked to leave an ID for the rental of freediving gears (snorkel and a pair of fins).

Introducing Coach Roger and my new friend Audrie

My good friend Reymond Pante who introduced me to freediving...

Pictures below were taken during lecture. So, since the activity entails holding your breath, we started off by learning the techniques of how to properly do it.

After this, we then proceeded to the site. Two options to go to the site, you can either walk (takes about 30 mins) or take a tricycle for 50php.

Pictures below were taken during the floating session before we headed off to the deeper part of the sea.

After checking on each of our swimming and floating skills, we then started to swim going to the diving site.

Below were our pictures during the diving activity. I didn't know that this event will change the way I look at deep seas (everything went good except from my few bouts with muscle spasms, lol!) Before I post our pictures, first off, let me thank the people behind this unforgettable experience. Freediving Coaches of Asia, you guys are the best. They are composed of people working on a common goal and that is to bring people closer to the sea... special shoutout to the Master Coach @Jeroen Elout who hails from another country yet chose to stay in our beautiful Philippines and spearheaded this freediving activity.

Free Diving Coaches of Asia aims to:

1. To teach EVERYBODY on sea survival. To reduce non swimmer rate and the yearly drowning count. (Drowning is the no.1 cause of death among Thai youngsters aged 15 below, each year 3000 kids drown)

2. To teach freediving to everyone, because once people start to love the sea they can eventually help in taking care of it.

3. To train more coaches as thousands are needed if we seriously want to teach a nation how to survive at sea.

Photo op with the diving master...

Freediving Main event

Kudos to all our Coaches Coach Roger, Coach Anthony and everyone (sorry I forgot the names of the rest of them)! You guys are really awesome...

Guys, here is the most recent upcoming event posted by Free Diving Coaches of Asia. Kindly visit their site and like the page.

Lastly, Special thanks to my newfound friends... I hope we can all get together again for another set of Freediving activity. Thank you everyone for being the best! Ryan Eramis Apayat, Aubrey Rodriguez, Crissy FabelPadre, Jeff Belchez, Kenneth Domingo, Lawrence San Juan, Tiffany Delos Santos, Presa Prangko, Rap Paolo and Reymond Pante.

I highly recommend this activity as it will make you appreciate nature at its best. Hope you enjoyed my weekend escapade! 'Til my next adventure!

Our Boracay Escapade 2017

2017-05-20T10:00:00.000+08:00

Our Boracay Escapade 2017

If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t posted in a while which left me a bit excited in sharing with all of you our most recent escapade. I had a wonderful time with my family as we ventured and explored Boracay. This was during my birthday week, glad to have the approval of my boss to work from home before we left.

Since I have not tried a flight from Clark Field Pampanaga to Kalibo, we had to take the route. So first off, from Laguna (we came from my mother’s house, since I got her yes to come with my family =D) to Clark was a 4 hour drive and we rented a van, rental fee: 3000php.

Ouch sorry, didn't get to check first the settings of my cameruh... That's me, my Motherbells (always looking so dashing as ever!) and Daddy Jon =)...

Here are some of the pictures taken during our trip... Oh and by the way, terminal fee is at 150php. =)

So, it was an hour flight from Clark to Kalibo and from the latter we had to take another van ride to get to Caticlan Jetty Port to board a boat going to the island. Van rental: 1,500php, boat fare 25php, environmental fee 75php (ages 5 and below are free), terminal fee (again) 100php.

This is what will greet you upon arriving at Kalibo, of course my mom won't miss a picture with it! =D. And then beside it, you will find a desk where you can find assistance that you will need for the rest of your travel going to Caticlan. They have basic services like taxis and vans with an all-in fee including terminal, environmental and boat fare, depends on what you want to avail.

Welcome to Cagban Jetty Port, this is where you can get a ride going to your room/house/hotel and what have you... Fare: 150/trike, unless your hotel has a transport provided for you.

We arrived at the port about half past 5pm so as soon as we went in our place of stay, everyone was pretty exhausted from the trips so we had to rest and call it a day. Also, our wake up call that day was about 5am plus I worked the previous night until it was time to leave, so pretty much I'm kindda drained.

Strolling in Boracay... As per majority vote, our first activity was island hopping. If you avail of this activity online with the rest of your vacation package, you will get this for 1,500/head. So what I did was to scout for a cheap deal which only costed 800/head including lunch.

Can you guess whose rest house this is? Clue: Boxer turned politician! Lol! Among the sites you will see while island hopping. =D

Night time adventure...

I didn't get to capture all the nice views during most of the trip because there was something wrong with my camera, dang! Oh and by the way, during lunch time, the lines may go really, really long so you may want to hurry up your stay at Puka Beach Island. =D

Sorry to have to cut the posting short... I promise to post some more, in maybe a few days. =D

Hope you had a good summer as well! XOXO

Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas March 2016

2016-03-13T07:46:00.001+08:00

Burot Beach 2016

A friend recently shared with me a site where I can find great beaches which is just some kilometers away from my place. Well, if you would like to get some peace after a stressful week at work, you may want to check out the beaches in Batangas. Roughly 2-3 hours away from the metro. I have been scouting for a place not so expensive to feature here since summer is almost here, well I guess with the scorching heat that we are experiencing right now, I would say that Summer has officially began.

Been going through some sites to check out a place where we will be spending less while having the time of our lives, place not too crowded for a weekend getaway, also taking into consideration that we are on a very tight budget.

We decided between Burot and Tingloy… had to do some reading to make sure that this will be an inexpensive trip otherwise I will not get an approval from the head of the family hahaha!

We decided between Burot and Tingloy… had to do some reading to make sure that this will be an inexpensive trip otherwise I will not get an approval from the head of the family, LOL!

So it will be Burot for our 1^st Summer Camping. No directions needed as we have WAZE application to serve as our guide, and guess what? It really took us to our destination without hassle, so for those who will be taking their car, I would suggest for you to use the app.

Via SLEX: Santa Rosa Exit - Tagaytay- Nasugbu Highway

Distance: 122 Kilometers from Alabang (one way)

We didn't really know what to see when we get there to Burot but since I did my assignment and went trhu some reviews, I figured, I needed to bring our own tent (which we have 2). And on our way, we saw people on the side streets selling firewood for 100 Php (which will cost Php200 if you buy it from the locals in the beach).

Sharing with all of you some of the pictures that I took. I want you to see how the beach really looks like so I did not fix the pictures. Just be aware that this is a low cost get away for you not to expect too much from this place.

For those who will be using their private vehicles, it will be a rough ride...

Occassional traffic, hahaha, just kidding!

Upon approaching the beach, the road gets narrower...

Oooops, I almost forgot the manong guard's role upon our entry in the vicinity. He will hand you over a trash bag and some papers for instruction while inside the premises, cost - 10Php.

Ayan BABALA... Asawa ni... BABALU!!! LOL!

The Beach!

So yes, Burot Beach was how I pictured it to be, maybe because with all the readings that I did, I didn't expect much, but it is still a good location to visit and spend time with the family. It was a worthwhile experience, and as I looked back and while posting these pictures, I can tell that my kids had a great time.

Glad it was low tide when we were there cause I didn't have to worry about Enzo getting some place in the water where wouldn't want him to be... =D

But wait, there's more! Activities that you can do while in Burot? Not much if you will spend a week, but it will be action packed if you decide to stay for the weekend.

Manong Bangkero can take you to the nearby island for 150Php each minimum of five persons.

On the right side of the beach, where most of the rock formations are, you can do fishing.

At night once you are all set to sleep, before sleeping you can do Bonfire (which unfortunately, I didn't capture in my tab because all gadgets are drained down =(...)

Grill! Grill! Grill!

What not to forget is your Sunblock lotion... Also, make sure to bring a whole lot of water to wash your hands, for drinking and for washing your food.

Below is on the right side of the beach... not very much for campers to stay and set up tent in. This is the rocky side.

Thanks to Daddy Jon for taking these pictures on the rocky side of the beach as I was busy preparing our food when they went here. And yes, there were fishes on this side so fishing with your kids will be a great bonding activity.

By the way, if you bring your own tent, you will pay 30 Php for each, but if you don't have a tent, you can rent one from the locals for 300Php

Also, you can rent tables for 300 Php.

It will be best if you will arrive at around noon when almost everyone who spent the night at the beach is almost ready to leave so that you can pick a spot where to set up your tent.

Burot at Dawn...

Didn't get to take a picture of his bonfire during the night so I asked him to light a small one for me...

Don't forget to bring your blankets and pillows as it gets really cold at night, atleast it got cold when we were there, I'm not really sure how it will work when April kicks in.

My little nugget inside the tent... I got a really, really tight hug when he woke up... He said "Thank you Mommy" while looking at the beach... #simplejoysofamom

There were some grassy spots in the beach which we avoided because of sea worms (and you may have to expect a lot of those in the grassy parts), but hey, they don't bite. Just try to avoid those parts so as not to spoil the moment. LOL! Starfishes? Yes there are also a lot of them... =)

Some of the not-so-good experience during our stay in this place is the infamous CR where you have to pay 5Php everytime you pee and 10Php for poops LOL! Although Burot Beach is a privately owned property of SM Group of Companies, this place is still (for now) maintained by the locals and is still open to the public. Before heading off to this place, you need to bring all the things that you will need because apart from the small store inside the vicinity (where you can buy beer and some stuff) you wont have access to anything else, even electricity.

Expenses:

Gas - 1k (approximate gas consumption from Alabang on a 2 way route is 600 Php according to Jon)

Tent - 30 Php for each (we brought 2, paid 60 and used only 1)

Wood bundle - 100 Php (we bought it along the way and not inside Burot)

Now I know why they have this as we approach the location...

Overall, our stay in Burot Beach was worth it... It took us some time to get there because of the traffic going to Tagaytay, but it paid off. And if given the chance to camp out with the kids again, we will go back to this place.

My kids and my husband is my life, we have been blessed with a lot of struggles and obstacles... Even if we live a simple life, I'm glad we have these moments to cherish in this lifetime... Thank God for family, they are my source of strength in trying times... I am also glad that even if we do not have the best in life, atleast we have each other.

Always, always remember that happiness is a state of mind under the influence of the people who gives us UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! If you have to live up to someone else's standards, then that is NOT FAMILY...

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and goodluck in planning your weekend getaway! =)

Christmas Sale 2015

2015-12-03T10:04:00.000+08:00

CHRISTMAS... It's that time of the year again where we celebrate the most significant event of the year, the birth of Christ, biggest celebration especially for Catholics. The streets of EDSA and almost all the streets of the Metro is already jam packed with Christmas shoppers as most of the employees here have already receive their bonuses for the biggest celebration of the year.

The Philippines is probably the only country with the longest Christmas celebration as we start as early as September to prepare the Christmas decors and all the glittering lights to place in the entire house. We all take pleasure in seeing the lights and it gives a kind of happy feeling knowing that Christmas is already fast approaching.

See the traffic in EDSA… (well this actually seems to be a view for the entire year… LOL!)

So, on to the positive light despite of the traffic, let’s see the Mall Sale around the Metro…=)

You can also check out Check out a wide range of Nike shoes at ZALORA as I heard they have great offers for online shoppers.

Christmas is undeniably the busiest, happiest and kindda most expensive time of the year... Keep in mind that if we save some of the money that we have today, we will have something for the incoming year.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year! Thank you everyone for supporting my site! God bless!

Disgusting Pictures of the Celebration Of The Feast of San Roque in San Pedro Laguna!

2015-08-17T09:34:00.001+08:00

I was born and raised in a simple and small barrio located in San Pedro, Laguna... San Roque. My Lola (who was long gone for several years now) still has her house there where my mother now lives. I was raised as a devout Catholic and although I had my share of life's hardships, I have remained a faithful Catholic. Every year we celebrate the feast of San Roque and as a family custom, my mother prepares different types of dishes to serve to people who come and visit to celebrate the Feast of san Roque with our family. This festivity has been an ongoing tradition so I am no longer new to the diverse practices that people showcase during the event.

Our Patron Saint "San Roque"

This year is quite different... It was a failure... I felt sorry as a Catholic that I had to bear witness to this disappointment... I just wished that these mindless people didn't have to show how they have lambasted the entire Catholic sector...

See how you will react to these photos... (Taken during the procession)

I would like to emphasize that I am not blogging these pictures for any other reason except for the fact that I am calling on the people of San Roque, San Pedro, Laguna to respect other Catholics and NOT to confuse the new generation on the true meaning of the Feast Day of our Patron Saint San Roque!

May the Good Lord see you and give what is due you, in time...

Hello everyone! Kindda missed blogging for quite a while. I have had a roller coaster ride in life since I left my previous company in search of another one that I can call my second home.

Well, fortunately for me I found a new place to work, have fun and earn. I am now a part of another international company and I am hoping to stay here for the rest of my employment years. Really proud to be a part of the company and along with this, not only did I found a place to work but I also found out that we have our own Gym! Its been a while since I did my last jog at The Fort (where I previously worked) and I really miss the fun and benefits that I get with the activity.

So me and the girls often visit the gym for some exercise and tons of fun... Got new friends by the way!

Sharing with you some tips before heading out to the gym!

1. Make sure to pack your things and to bring all the things that you will need for the activities that you want to do inside the gym. Me, I make sure to bring my most precious towel and I'm pretty sure that no one wants to get those sweat in all the stuff that you will using.

2. Water Bottle, so you can replenish those lost liquids and keep your self hydrated.

3. Ipod or any gadgets for your music. It's always fun to have these neat gadgets to help setting the right mood for the activities in the gym.

Here are some of the things that I make sure to bring with me...

my shoes really looks worn out, price that it has to pay for always coming along with me lol! You can check out some of my favorite online shops for more items...

Here is my GCC pulse gear that I got from JP Morgan Chase... it's something priceless for me... something to keep and remember Chase with... It actually counts the number of steps i make. It was provided to us in support of the campaign to promote walking...

My music buddy from Phillips GoGear Raga, keeps my music with me all the time! =)

I am a fan of sites with good promo for gadget freak like me... lol!

That is my good friend Tere Artieda in the picture during one of our sessions in the gym...

You can check out some of my favorite online shops for more items... For some stylish sporty outfit, check out Zalora for stylish sports clothing. You can also go to Online Deals for more promos!

We need not spend much to stay healthy but we can always make our lifestyle free from the clutters of life... so live healthy, eat healthy and stay happy to all
