Aggressive Drivers

What is with aggressive drivers? Why do so many drivers feel they can speed, and act aggressively against other drivers, without fear of punishment?

Yesterday, while traveling 10 MPH over the posted speed, a driver passed me on the shoulder. I guess I wasn't driving fast enough for his taste!

Slow down, people! What's the rush? Obey the law! Stop driving so aggressively!

YIELD!!

Why do so many drivers fail to obey "YIELD" signs? What is so hard to understand about the sign? Yield means yield the right-of-way to other drivers who have the right-of-way! Period! It's simple, right? Then why do I often find myself having to come to a stop on a roadway while attempting to exit? I'll tell you why. It's because there are many idiot drivers who don't know, or care about, the law.

Listen up, idiots! When you approach a yield sign, don't speed up and try to beat the vehicle attempting to exit the highway. YIELD! That is what the sign means.

No driver exiting a highway should ever have to brake, and yield, to a driver entering the same highway. Get your head out of your ass and obey the yield sign. Obey the law!

Here is my radical opinion: When a driver fails to yield your right-of-way, pull out a paintball gun and shoot their car. Police can then easily identify the violator and issue them a ticket for being an idiot!!

Black & White

When I was in high school, back in the mid-70s, people with dark skin and physical attributes consistent of the negro race were referred to as "black." It was a simple time; you were either black or white.

Sometime later, people of the negro race no longer wanted to be called "black." They demanded to be called "African (hyphen) American. WHAT? First of all, African-American is not a description of ones race. It is a title of ones heritage. Example: If you come from South Africa, with skin as white as the driven snow, you could claim to be African-American, right? But wait, you don't have dark skin, or physical characteristics of the negro race. So, what does that make you? Answer: Caucasian.

Over the years I have filled out job applications that ask for my race. On the forms are the following choices: African (hyphen) American, White, Asian, Latino, etc. I always check "other," and write in "German-American." It isn't my race, but it is my heritage, just like African-American is a heritage.

Practically every evening while watching the news I here some reported refer to a negro as an African-American, and I cringe. WHAT? I ask the television. What does this person look like? Is this person dark skinned, or Caucasian? What am I to be looking for? Of course, there is no answer from the TV.
