[KS] The Agents回來了，帶著新規則跟三個新擴

過去抱怨過這款遊戲寄送太過草率，但遊戲本身是個易上手的小品遊戲，銷售狀況也很好。

新的規則主要是將勝利門檻提高（40IP改為50IP），起始時第一名玩家可以獲得1IP，第二順位玩家獲得2IP，第三順位獲得3IP，以此類推。另外也修改了章節順序，更易於閱讀。

新的KS連結在此，入手第一版的玩家也可以選擇只要升級套件跟三個新擴。運費很便宜，但要記得這一切是有代價的。

不知道大家最愛的DBG是哪款呢？最近玩Thunderstone Advenced發覺真難，而且規則比我印象中複雜多了（之前玩過飛龍巨塔擴充）。Ascension相對起來簡單許多，最近iOS也推出更新，並提供in-app付費購買的Immortal Heroes擴充（$2.99美金）。

更新主要是把On-Line遊戲改成跟Agricola一樣的方式，使用Playdek會員就可以在線上糾團。這款擴充是Playdek最後一款Ascension相關的作品，之後版權會被Stone Blade收回去，Playdek將提供相關支援到2014年七月。

[TRPG]Call of Cthulhu第七版規則募資中

最近跟克蘇魯有關的募資真多，例如CoC原作者Sandy Petersen的Cthulhu Wars，這次則是CoC的新版規則，時間到6/29。

新版跟舊版的不同，除了規則跟插圖全部翻新外，還多了兩個新的入門冒險："Amidst the Ancient Trees"和"Crimson Letters"。新規則也能適用於舊的設定集跟冒險集。

規則書分為冒險者手冊跟城主手冊兩本，電子版售價$30美金；紙本最便宜的平裝版由$70美金起跳（要另外加台灣運費$22美金）；再上去的版本還有加贈角色牌、事件牌等贈品。如果你只想要贈品的PDF檔，也可以考慮贊助$60美金的全電子等級（Digital Dhole），包含規則電子書跟所有高等級才有的解鎖贈品電子版。贊助等級請參考下面的圖片：

The rule book has been fully revised and carefully restructured to bring you the rules in the most user-friendly way. Call of Cthulhu is a well established game with a wealth of supporting scenarios, campaigns and source books. It's important to note that the 7th Edition rules remain backwards compatible so that previously published scenarios and source books all remain playable with the revised rules. We’ve gone to great lengths to revise the rules in a way that retains the essence of what makes Call of Cthulhu such a great game.

Here's an overview on some of the revisions that will be found in Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition...

Creating your Investigator
There are lots of great options for creating investigators, along with advice on integrating your investigator with the story. It also provides you with support and tools for generating an investigator’s backstory, enabling players to create fully rounded characters with a reason to investigate the Cthulhu Mythos.

Skill rolls
Not everything is so easy for the investigators -- if they attempt an especially difficult task the new rules introduce the ‘hard’ and ‘extreme’ skill rolls. Revised skill descriptions and new skills like Intimidate and Charm have been added to provide investigators with more ways to investigate and uncover the secrets of the Mythos.

Opposed rolls
No need to refer to charts -- everything you need is right there on the character sheet!

Pushing skill rolls
Sometimes your investigator fails a task. With the new rules, if you want to try a second time you can -- if you can justify it! But beware -- failing a second ‘pushed’ roll will have dire consequences -- opening the door for the Keeper to take the story in all sorts of new, exciting and sometimes unexpected directions.

Lots of Advice for Players and Keepers
The new rules have been written with a mind to helping all players get the most of Call of Cthulhu. Particularly, a special advice chapter for Keepers on how to construct a scenario, how to build tension and horror, and how to develop the story and engage your players. Whether you are new to the game or have been playing a while, there’s information and tips for everyone .

Toolkit
Over the decades many gaming groups have developed their own style of Call of Cthulhu play, and 7th Edition provides you with options, tools and advice on how to tailor the game in a way that will suit you and your group. Whether you like things more pulpy or gritty, there’s optional rules to build and scale the game you want.

Missed a clue? No worries!
Ever had your players get stuck because they don’t know what to do next? The new rules provide a mechanism for handling such tricky situations; a revision of the Idea Roll rule. Now you can throw tricky investigations at your players and not have to worry if they pick up every clue or not. The new Idea Roll helps to keep your game on track without unnecessary railroading of the players.

Sanity
The sanity track remains, however the Keeper is provided with new guidance on how to deal with episodes of insanity, including phobias, manias and delusions. Plus the Keeper is provided with advice on how to tamper with the investigator’s backstory -- potentially corrupting their relationships, their possessions and other important aspects of their life as they sink further and further in to the cosmic abyss of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Combat
Sometimes your investigator will have to rely on his or her fists! All unarmed attacks now come under the one skill of Brawl, allowing you to describe your attacks as befits the situation. Weapons and firearms retain their own skill categories. Combat now works with opposed rolls, allowing you to resolve combat scenes faster than ever before and avoid drawn-out "miss - miss" situations, whilst giving players more options on the things they can do during a fight. Fast paced and exciting combat!

Combat maneuvers replace the old grapple rules. Now you just describe what you want to do and roll versus your opponent -- allowing greater freedom to create exciting fight scenes. Your investigator can do more during combat than just fight or flee!

Chases
An entirely new chase system that allows you to combine vehicles, monsters and pedestrians in exciting chase scenes. Remember the chase scene in Lovecraft's 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth' wherein the protagonist, Robert Olmstead, flees the Gilman House hotel via a window and is pursued across Innsmouth by deep ones? These new rules enable you to stage exciting chases like that in your game.

Monsters
You’ll find a host of old favourites here, along with a few new faces, as well as insightful marginalia providing details, notes and ideas on many of the monsters and gods therein.

Spells and Tomes
7th Edition provides revised rules for how to handle magic in your game and also revisits tome reading times, as well as providing advice and ideas on how to use tomes in your scenarios and games. If your investigator has never cast a spell before you may find you get more than you bargained for! Likewise, insane ancient Mythos wizards and monsters have access to deeper realms of magic and a range of spells have suggested effects for just this type of insane casting.

New scenarios
"The Haunting" -- the old faithful scenario is back, with added, step by step Keeper’s advice for new players. Plus two new scenarios: "Amidst the Ancient Trees" and "Crimson Letters", designed for both new and veteran Keepers. "Crimson Letters", set in witch-haunted Arkham, provides the ideal starting point for a campaign.

Anything else? The entire rulebook has been revised, edited and will be presented in a brand new layout with loads of cool new artwork.

[桌遊]Tom Vasel的Top 10洗牌遊戲討論

洗牌遊戲(DBG)又叫牌組建構遊戲，是由Dominion開始，很快形成一股熱潮的紙牌遊戲。想法很簡單：不同種類功能的牌（每種10張），排列在你跟對手的面前，你得用手上的牌當作籌碼去購買新牌，然後組成自己的牌組來對戰。這種方式最大的優點是每個人能買的牌都一樣（頂多是先手優勢），而且也減低TCG有錢是大爺的問題。

Top 10的list可以在這裡看到，理由可以參考本週的podcast（57:50開始，前面有一些其他人的推薦，Vasel跟Summerer的討論大約1:05:50開始）。Legendary的排名真高啊，大家都想等小孩趕快長大一起玩（DCDBG就......）；Mage Knight Board Game沒上榜倒是令我意外(Vasel的理由是MK的重點不完全是DBG)；Core Worlds聽說是Domi+銀河路跑，不過版上討論不多；Fantastiqa的評價也不錯。Tom網頁上的資訊有些怪怪的，像是For The Crown的連結放錯了，People's Choice #10應該是Nightfall（我有一套已中文化的想賣，請有緣人跟我聯絡）。

Tom Vasel喜歡的遊戲口味跟我蠻像的，以後看到有趣的清單也會分享給大家，希望能引起一些討論:)

[桌遊]Cthulhu Wars募資中

KS是個大坑，往往會出現許多不可思議吸引人的東西。像今天要介紹的Cthulhu Wars。這是一款受到Chaos in the Old World影響，結合Call of Cthulhu題材所創造出的桌上遊戲。遊戲規則是由Call of Cthulhu TRPG原作者Sandy Petersen編寫。玩家在四個種族中選擇一種，目的要贏得地圖的統治權。

吸引人的地方是它提供了四組不同的角色模型，原型都來自於克蘇魯神話。目前這款遊戲的價格，包含四個種族的基本款為$150美金，基本款加擴充一為$240美金。另外還有不少加夠的種族擴充和地圖擴充。如果想要五個人玩至少要多買一組種族擴充。要注意的是現在已經解鎖的獎勵大多需要贊助$200美金以上（不包含運費）才會獲得。募資時間到7月8日。

BGG上已經出現玩家的試玩報告，貌似不錯，給了8分（"Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down."）的成績。下面是各種族的圖片：

[桌遊]Mage Wars新擴充The Conquest of Kumanjaro Spell Tome

近來深獲好評的卡牌遊戲Mage Wars又要出新擴了，內容包含106新牌、22個狀態指示物（Bleed, Stuck, and Tainted）跟兩個原法師(Priest和Beastmaster)的變體。

新的Johktari Beastmaster遠端非魔攻擊有Ranged +1；Malakai牧師則是有神靈加持，每回合的光攻擊有一次機會讓對手死在Malakai的怒焰之下。

據說這遊戲會出中文版，至於是簡繁體就不確定了。

新擴充The Conquest of Kumanjaro Spell Tome最快會在2013年6月12日舉辦的Origin大獎會場上發行，建議售價$29.99美元。原文介紹如下：

The Johktari Beastmaster is a fierce and proud hunter, defending her people’s lands against invaders. She is a skilled archer and has the Ranged +1 trait for all of her non-spell ranged attacks. She can also sprint quickly across the vast savannahs, running swift as a Cheetah using her Sprinting ability which gives this Mage the Fast trait. If these Abilities weren’t deadly enough, the Johktari Beastmaster can use her Wounded Prey ability to mark and relentlessly pursue wounded prey, working with her animals to finish it off.

The Priest of Malakai is a crusader against non-believers. He seeks justice and relentlessly pursues enemies with Holy retribution. The Priest is blessed with the burning light of Malakai, and his basic melee attack deals light damage. In addition, once per round, if the Priest attacks and damages an enemy creature with any attack which deals light damage, the creature may burst into flame via Malakai’s Fire. To round out the divine might of this Mage is his Holy Avenger ability. When a friendly non-Legendary Holy creature comes into play, you may make it your Holy Avenger. The Holy Avenger is blessed with divine strength and it gains +5 Life.

A few of the creatures in this expansion, such as the Guardian Angel, are ready to defend their Mage at any cost and thus introduce the Intercept ability which allows them to jump in the way of ranged attacks if they are on guard.

Kumanjaro is home to the Legendary Makunda, bold, fierce, and true king of the land.

The set also introduces three (3) new conditions: Bleed, Stuck, and Tainted.

Whether your Mage must treat a potentially fatal open wound, escape the web of the Giant Wolf Spider, or deal with a wound that just won’t heal… You and your opponents are guaranteed a thrilling battle with many tense moments and exciting surprises in the Arena!

Based upon customer feedback, we have included some new tokens for bookkeeping: Armor +1, Melee +1, and Ranged +1. These vivid tokens will ensure that you and your opponent know the current state of affairs on the board.

[桌遊]Orge成為Kickstarter史上贊助金額最高的桌上遊戲

Orge是名遊戲設計師Steve Jackson第一個創作的戰棋遊戲，最早出版於1977年。4/11開始在KS上徵求贊助它的第六版，第一天就突破它們的預設目標20,000，短短幾天已經打破了D-Day Dice創的紀錄$171,805，成為到目前為止KS上桌遊類型的最多贊助金額遊戲，到5/12贊助截止日還有24天！（第三名是Agents of SMERSH，$101,507）。

不知道它們打算怎麼把這14磅的怪物遊戲寄送海外，不過我準備好了！

Mage Knight Board Game將在4/18舖貨，二刷的改變包括更正了原本卡牌跟規則書裡的錯誤，規則書某些部分還重新寫過（例如walkthrough）：
- Fixed typos
- Adjusted Rulebook layout
- Added content list to Rulebook
- Rewritten Rulebook introduction to even more clearly explain the purpouse of Rulebook and Walkthrough
- Reworded rules which allowed ambiguous interpretations or were further explained in BGG official FAQ thread
- And lastly now all the rules are included in Rulebook

[桌遊]Descent 2版的第一個Preview發表

預計在今年（2012）夏天出版的Descent 2版終於發表他們的第一個Preview。新版的內容物有：

This updated version of the classic board game of dungeon-delving adventure features a host of enhancements, including new heroes and monsters, accessible rules, a class-based hero system, campaign play, and much more. In addition to its nearly 50 detailed plastic figures, 48 map tiles, nine custom dice, and much more, Second Edition offers a comprehensive Quest Guide with 37 original maps.

另外提到一些有趣的地方：

To keep campaign play interesting and varied, players will not always experience the same quests, or experience them in the same order, when playing through The Shadow Rune (the included campaign) multiple times. In fact, there is a well developed narrative driving the campaign that can branch off in different directions. Depending on whether the heroes or the overlord win certain quests, the players can actually influence how the overarching plot plays out. This brings a sense of light roleplaying to Second Edition, while giving players a feeling of ownership over their heroes’ fates.

本遊戲也會由香港戰棋會推出中文版，它們的討論區有玩家試跑後的爆料：

任務的平衡度很高，Heroes跟Overlord的贏面相約，過程較前作緊湊。
新的情節系統很好，容許較高的故事性，且故遭遇及章節之間小勝負對往後發展亦具義意。
Overlord的行動不再只是一名DM，他的選擇比前重要，而且同時有in-game感覺。
介紹新人入手的協助不錯，要知的規則細節不多(當然要贏的規則要多花時間)。
整體而言，第二版包含前作所有擴展的遊戲架構，留了優點，去了缺點，卻裝在一個核心裝中。現在可以放的說，沒時間開D&D，真的可以開Descent 2nd Edition補償。期待完成版的出現。
