I wanted to remind my readers that all six issues of Creative Miniaturist Magazine are still on ISSUU.com and can be still be accessed and downloaded completely for FREE.

It’s been some time since I published any new issues of the FREE Creative Miniaturist Magazine.

Time and family obligations made it too difficult to continue producing the magazine all by myself, even with the generous articles and tutorials donated by the contributing miniaturists. I do wish I had the time to devote to new issues. It was a labor of love and I enjoyed putting it together for you.

If you have any problems downloading the printies, you can find them as high resolution printables here.

There’s even a link to order hard copies of the printies in case you don’t have access to a color printer yourself.

MY MID-LIFE BLOOM!

I have always disliked the term mid-life crisis. It cries out

with desperation, depression, a wilting of the soul.

Rather, I prefer to refer to what I am now

experiencing as a mid-life bloom.

Lately I have been feeling younger than I have in years.

A change has come over me out of nowhere,

a feeling of renewal and optimism.

I’m not sure how or why, but who am I to question it?

I don’t have that negative feeling of a life-half-over that I

have always thought I would feel when I reached this age.

Instead, I am now able to recognize the endless possibilities

still before me, knowing I now have the maturity to fulfill them.

I find myself attracted to things that make me feel younger,

as if before I had allowed myself to age too rapidly, before my

time, and only now I am able to take a few steps backward to

where I always should have been.

I see it not only in the youthful art I have been creating lately,

in the clothes I choose to wear and in the music I enjoy listening to,

but also in how I view my life and the loved-ones I share it with.

There is no crisis about it. I’m loving life more

than ever and I am looking forward to tomorrow.

I haven't been posting much these past few months because I have been delving into some new creative mediums, such as book cover design.

As an avid reader, I have been having a great time trying my hand at designing book covers for indie writers who are looking for affordable book covers for their self-published novels.

I create everything from traditional romance to erotic sci-fi!

My Victorian Dollhouse Home Tour

Today I thought I would share my Victorian dollhouse.

This is the only large size dollhouse that I own.

Close to twenty years old, the house will most likely need a decorative overhaul eventually because much of it was done before I really knew about creating miniatures with archival techniques and materials in order to stand the test of time.

My Mini Dolls of the Past

I thought I would share some of my hand sculpted 1/12 scale miniature dolls from the past. I haven't sculpted a doll in years. Looking at these photos, it makes me want to try sculpting again. Never really happy with how they came out, I have a need to keep trying until I'm happy with the results.

All the following dolls are now in private collections.
